My ex-husband took my youngest boys to his mom’s and stepdad’s house today. My youngest informed me that there is now a Trump flag hanging at the house. My kids are “in the rainbow”.

I love my ex’s mom so much and I’m pretty sure the flag is her crappy husband’s, but I don’t want my kids around anyone who wants them dead, so I’m going to tell my ex, who is still my close friend, not to take my kids to that house while that neo-Nazi christofascist flag hangs there.

I googled the Gadsden flag, just to check why it would conflict with the Thin Blue Line flag, and found this reddit post on r/NoStupidQuestions

[deleted] Yes and no. "Don't Tread on Me" typically refers to resisting intervention by the Federal government, where "Blue Lives Matter" signifies support for the local police force. I think it's possible to be a Libertarian at the national level and and authoritarian at the local level and not have that necessarily be contradictory.

Anyone who thinks there isn't a MASSIVE propaganda campaign going against Trump just has to type MAGA into the Tumblr search box.

Apparently Joe Biden is a war hero now. And everyone left of center has now decided that they were AGAINST the lockdowns in 2020, that it was all Trump's fault. Have yet to see an actual issue raised either in support of Biden or against Trump...

Propaganda isn't supposed to give you something to think about. It's inducing an emotional response; reaction. If you're thinking then it's not doing it's job.

I was going to make a longer post about it but just imagining how the US election arguments as we approach November will flood every place of the English-speaking internet (where, unfortunately, I hang out during much of my time) and god, it's gonna be so tiresome. We're gonna get flooded with "REGISTER TO VOTE" ads even if you don't live there and people arguing about voting, not voting, voting for this and that, not voting for third parties (apparently a crime in the US, great democracy guys), and so on and so on. And the results in one way or the other will be awful for the wider world. Not looking forward to it.

Have once again been reminded at my corporate job that people outside tumblr think Kamala is an extremist leftist. Hell, we had a whole conversation about how my coworkers thought Obama was an extremist.

Anyways, there's no left of Kamala until she's elected, hard stop. Voting for Trump, or not at all, just guarantees we won't see the policies we want to see, and, if he gets his way, we may never see them ever.

So maybe vote or something tomorrow if you haven't already. I'm really tired of people thinking that if they cut off the nose to spite the face, we'll somehow end up with everything we want instead of just a mutilated face.
