#Truest Blood

Happy Sunday! Tomorrow, (October 7th) the beloved podcast “Truest Blood” comes back! Kristin Bauer (Pam) and Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) will be hosting again and talking through seasons 5 & 6 of @truebloodhbo. This is the official podcast of the show. In their new  promo from last week, they said they will be talking to Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux) and our favorite, Alexander Skarsgård (Eric Northman). At the end of the season 4 podcast they also said they would be talking to Chris Bauer (Andy Bellefleur) and Janina Gavankar (Luna Garza).

They haven’t announced which guest they will be starting with so we don’t know who they will be starting out with. It’s always a fabulous podcast though - each one is a gift to any Truebie. Season 5 (originally aired in 2012) is when we got the back-to-back flashbacks of Eric & Pam’s meeting and maker stories (episodes 5.02 and 5.03). Season 6 ended in a major cliffhanger for Eric. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

The rest are mostly my screen caps from seasons 5 & 6, although there are a few stills by John P. Johnson and Lacey Terrell. I’m not sure who shot the character posters for Season 5. This was the last year they did them.

Rewatching True Blood has simultaneously rekindled my love and deep frustration with the show. I highly recommend the Truest Blood Podcast hosted by Deborah Ann Woll and Kristin Bauer; it really shines a good light on the cast and their experience being on the series, which seemed to be overwhelmingly positive and magical. It kind of makes rewatching the series more enjoyable - and tolerable since the writing really did go off the rails towards the end.

Truest Blood Podcast Season 3 and 4 announced!

Hosted by Deborah Ann Woll and Kristin Bauer (Pam and Jessica!) they rewatch the show (or In Deborah's case, watch for the first time) and share BTS details, their thoughts, funny making of memories and every episode there is a guest who either worked on the episode/season or acted in it. Confirmed guests are Dennis O'Hara (Russell Edgington), Tedd Lowe (Terry Bellefleur) and Fiona Shaw (Marnie Stonebrook)

I doubt they'll get Alexander Skarsgard or Anna Paquin, but I have my fingers crossed for Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) and Evan Rachel Wood (Queen Sophie-Ann) as guests

The difference is that Marcille doesn’t get honed in to her monsterfucker tendencies until she sees Chimera Falin whereas Falin would have imagined Scylla Marcille hundreds of times and would have snapped upon seeing it in real life and went to go kiss her gf while telling everyone not to worry about Marcille killing like 5 people because she’s the wife

Great news! Kristin Bauer told me that she and Deborah Ann Woll interviewed Alexander Skarsgård last week for their TRUEST BLOOD podcast! So glad this is done and cannot wait to hear it. She said she thinks the next season won’t be out until October.

OTD - (July 6, 2014) today is the 10-year anniversary of True Blood episode 7.03 ‘Fire in the Hole’ written by Brian Buckner and directed by Brian Buckner. The episode was full of flashbacks to Eric & Pam in France in 1986.
