You know, it always puzzled me a little when people talked about the Beauty and the Beast story... And everyone pointed out that the prince is turned into a Beast because he is vain and selfish. Which, I never understood because I didn't remember that. (What's more, I NEVER saw the entire Beauty and the Beast movie. Don't ask "why" because I don't know.) Now, after years, I realized why.

The story I grew up with didn't say that. This version of the fairy tale was different and had the witch as a capricious woman.

The prince in this version let the witch into his castle to take refuge from the cold. When the blizzard ends and the witch retreats. But not before giving the prince a gift for his hospitality. Which was a very beautiful rose. He refuses her gesture of gratitude and she becomes angry. He gets so angry that he curses him, turning him into a beast. Destroyed by this, the prince locks himself in his castle. Becoming a hermit, bitter and resentful. He becomes like this because he is bitter that they turned him into a monster just for doing a selfless action. What Bella does in this version is help him open his heart again and it is this warmth that helps break the spell.

I mean... In this version, which was in the teacher's book that my grandmother had, the only bad one was the witch. And I grew up with this moral of life of "You must be careful who you are kind to because not everyone will return your kindness." So I don't know how to feel 😂

There's a thin line between love and hate and their relationship should be the prime example of such saying. With her initial need to fight shifting so drastically to one of affection, Tomoya can only step back and wait for the best out of her intentions. She can be UNPREDICTABLE sometimes and that's one of the many things they love about her, it sure does brings out the fun in their dynamic and a need to push her forward to see what one can be capable of. ( They are drawn to challenges and this aspect of theirs seem to include people that could be considered a challenge alone ).

Would she throw a punch or a kick this time ? Most likely both OR maybe, she would get CREATIVE and come up with a new move that will take them by surprise.

They weren't wrong on that last part though. Because out of all the possibilities and ideas lying around, taking their hand and giving it a kiss was way out of their list. A blush creeps into their cheeks unwittingly and the look she gives gets them to cloud nine. Their leg starts to shake uncontrollably, seeking to calm some of their arising senses as they use part of their scarf to cover their smile.

I wrote this short fic a year or so ago playing around with the idea of my OC joining the Hallowenders with their rescue mission 🤔 and now that Endless Halloween Night has released its final installment for EN, I’m starting to think, “what if it were the other way around and Raven was one of the students that got possessed instead?”

She’s usually such a cynical and serious person… I think it’d be funny if the ghost possessing her turned her into a stereotypical princess-esque person 😂 Think like Eliza/the Ghost Bride, or of Giselle from Enchanted (fitting, since its sequel, Disenchanted, was just released today I can’t wait to watch it)!

(Possessed) Princess Raven would call the woodland creatures to her while singing about finding her True Love’s Kiss ✨ RIP to whichever group ends up having to deal with that starry eyed maiden; they already had to deal with that horror in Ghost Marriage but hey, they’ll at least be able to laugh at her once they beat the ghost out—
