Bewitched

For day 18 of @flufftober with the prompt "bewitched" I've written a Mad Men post-canon drabble featuring Tammy Campbell in the summer of 1983, and incidentally, the TV show Bewitched was in syndication from 1973-1982.

Tammy flipped through the channels in frustration, then checked TV Guide.

“No, they didn’t, did they?” she said to herself, not realizing she was talking out loud.

“What is it, Tammy?” her mom asked from the kitchen.

“When did they stop showing Bewitched reruns in the afternoon?”

Her mom walked out, looking confused.  “That show you watched when you were little?”

Tammy sighed. “I know, but I liked watching it in the afternoon when I was home last summer. It’s just a few months until college, so I wanted to watch it some more.”

“I guess it’s not on, then.”

God Trudy is such a mother to all the kids :')

She's a mother to Amber who has none.

She's a mother to Patricia when she's worried about Joy and waking up from nightmares.

She's a mother to Jerome who's mother is awful.

She's a mother to Alfie, to Mick, to Fabian, to Mara, to Joy.

Even in season two when she's working at the exibition, she's the one in the hospital with Nina after her gran falls ill.

Anyway it should come as no surprise to anyone that Pete Campbell is my special favorite. Cringefail blue blood city boy whose parents openly favor his older brother - his mother tells him to his sad little face that he's always been unlovable but he can't stop chasing her approval. He's good as an account man because being a weaselly little suck up comes naturally to him but he'll never be as good as Ken because the clients can smell the desperation on him.

In a show full of unsavory men he quickly distinguishes himself as particularly insufferable and oh so pathetic. Oh he wants sooooo badly to be seen as a Big Important Man but unfortunately he was home sick when they handed out charisma and charm on Madison Ave. He can't even win in a fist fight with Lane Pryce! Will his daddy Don ever be proud of him?

God, I love him.

currently writing chapter eight to Fabian's Eyes (check out my bio for more) and where the hell did Nina's locket come from??? like i know Sarah gave it to her, but where did Sarah get it from??? did Robert and Louise steal it from Tutankhamen's tomb along with the other artifacts?? maybe that's why they stole so much from there. perhaps they found out somehow that Sarah was a descendant from Amneris so they thought "fuck it, let's take what we can"

like idk if it was ever explicitly said or not and it doesn't say anything on the wiki. any thoughts? because i am thoroughly confused and it will be helpful for writing Fabian's Eyes. i want to make sure the info is accurate as possible.
