Avatar the last air bender AU,

Where Zuko is the avatar, but doesn’t find out til he’s about a year into his banishment and he like accidentally bends water and that’s how he finds out. He also takes his blue spirit stuff and basically make it part of the blue spirits persona that they are the avatar. So no one knows and Sokka, Katara, and Aang start searching for the avatar after they figure out Aang is an air bender. Iroh is just in Ba Sing Se after awhile and he still has his tea shop, at some point Zuko meets Druk and that his companion that is spirit bonded with him. He also meets the sun warriors and masters fire bending and he manages to reach himself a bit of rough but ok air bending, then he does the hebai stuff and finds out he needs to learn water next.

So he goes to the northern water tribe, explains everything to Master Pakku who finds it funny but trains him, he also does fight fire nation ships in avatar state but non survive to tell the tale except the good people who won’t snitch on Zuko. Which a few days after he leaves Aang, Katara, and Sokka get there and Pakku teaches Katara water bending after some bickering and fights.

Then it’s time for earth bending which Zuko then finds Toph, and this has all taken atleast a year, who goes with him after so drama with her parents and he gets taught earth bending. The other half of the gaang hear of this fire nation “Lee” kidnapping Toph so they quit their hunt for the avatar and they all end up in the fancy smancy part of Ba Sing Se living there and they meet, not because of the giant bison(did get lost but was found) or the giant dragon, Druk chillin in the avatars backyard. No, Sokka and Zuko end up meeting going out and after a few months they are together and by this time Toph has been introduced as “ Toph, the blind earth bender that can see with her feet, who I picked up off the street and took in as my sibling” but when Zuko finally meets Sokka’s family or Aang and Katara (he sees the bison through a window) and has a realization. These are the people I was being followed by and admits he’s the avatar and what not and Druk finally gets a buddy who is not a person he gets to be friends with Momo and Appa, they also come up with a plan and Zuko reunites with Iroh and they kill/imprison Ozai cause he mean.

In the end the time frame are that Zuko found out at 13-14yrs old and close to a year in his banishment, he’s 14-early16yrs old with all the alone time and air/water bending training, 16-17yrs old with the rest of it, so this took him 4yrs and all this time Druk was growing alongside him and with him every step of the way except when he was caged in the fire nation being the crown prince, when he picture perfect son and representing and repressing the best side of him also him and Sokka stay together cause I love Zukka.

Level 1!

Firstly Lee and Gaara are massive shit talkers.

Lee got that chronic pain, dawg, like regular shooting pains and nerve issues but he doesn't say anything cuz he doesn't want anyone to worry or feel bad(👀Gaara *cough*)

Gaara ups his tai jutsu training (I think this is canon in filler lol) but Lee helps him out by sending over reference material all the time. The homies tell Lee that he's overdoing it but Gaara keeps and studies everything Lee sends.

Speaking of studying I think Gaara had to study hard for the bureaucratical aspects of the Kazekage spot. (Probably mostly shadowed Baki for a long time) Like strength is a given but he was totally on his own when it came to education and diplomatic stuff because he was pushed through the academy purely through fear and nepotism. Not to say he isn't smart, once he starts in on something he's similar to Lee in that he goes all in, it becomes a whole aspect of his personality.

Level 2 💥

Sorry but Gaara still has mood swings and struggles to regulate his emotions. He masks real well, king of compartmentalize and dissociate lol but mans lashes out sometimes. Especially before shukaku is extracted like he canonically is not allowed to sleep his neural pathways are fried. He does try to not let it on to anyone because it Freaks People Out for obvious reasons. (The gaalee here is that Lee doesn't gaf about moodswings because he is also TooMuch sometimes, just a very accepting guy so he's someone Gaara can be less under tight emotional control with and he tries to offer healthy outlets hiii gay thoughts and mushy feelings)

Also he cries way easily, sometimes he just chillin and he's like aw fuck not again, cuz the fatigue and stress manifests or just feeling generally overwhelmed(*references 1(one) scene in shippuden*)

Level 3 !

Gaara is a brat, a little shit, a bit of an instigator even. Lee is one of the only people who can really challenge him on his attitude when he's being a menace. Temari and Kankuro too but Gaara knows how to push their buttons too well loll

I mean the guy definitely misuse his authority sometimes (usually for the greater good but sometimes just to be sneaky)

Lee is spiteful and has a greedy streak in the sense that if he wants to go for something, he doesn't gaf if he 'deserves it' he'll earn that shit for himself and then rub it in your face but somehow be polite about it. Utilizes malicious compliance often.

Gaara is a picky eater, certain textures bother him and specific foods he just won't eat, he later explains to Lee that he's been poisoned a few times and even the smell of certain foods makes him feel violently ill as a result. It tasted fine when he ate it at first but his body remembers the pain and fear quite vividly. Lee goes out of his way to be courteous of this. Alternatively Lee will eat anything on principle of not being wasteful.

Level 4!! (The ones im slow cookin at all times)

HELLO RELIGION/CULTURE HCS Gaara gets into reviving old Suna traditions and sponsors more regular celebrations to rebuild a sense of community outside of the military state previous Kazekages had been building. (This wins over a lot of Old Head civilians because they remember when practicing and appreciating their religious figures was commonplace) In general Suna becomes a lot more colorful and lively especially in the years post war. Art and clothing and jewelry actually becomes a pretty decent trade asset. The regular big celebrations encourage more tourism, helps the economy and helps with their perceptions as this harsh, conservative village.

Also his Mom was from the aboriginal tribes of Suna and so getting connected with that part of himself feels like getting closer to her.

Lee Officially Courts Gaara following Sunan tradition (w/ lots of help from Tem, Kank, team Gai) in front of the whole village, my guy is a romantic and audacious af and really it sweeps Gaara right up off his feet.

Established relationship, Gaara is seriously outrageous with PDA, very much likes to flex his Lee because he didn't think he'd ever have anything close to a loving partner and Lee eats it up(blushing profusely). They're so gross and in love that whoever invites them anywhere will receive a formal warning about their behavior.

The sand sibs have a punk band together for funsies. It's mostly Kanks hobby, but post chuunin Baki shares a couple old man cd's with them and they just start banging out songs here and there to spend more time together and process their feelings in an abstract way.

(I project my gender onto Gaara a lil too; uses he/him cuz that's what everyone is used to but doesn't necessarily think of himself as anything specific genderwise, he was just a monster for twelve years afterall. Dabbles with feminity sometimes but doesn't think too hard about it.)

Monke Deicide king Kong kong is my moms favorite kaiju so i drew him for my AU in Deicide Kong is super chill he probably won't appear much, but hes there vibing on his island.

despite his warrior appearance he focuses mostly on cultivating the islands native plant life as his tribe did before him. He can fight and is pretty good at it, but hes a peaceful fellow and only fights if he needs to. Hes minding his own business trying not to think about how the world keeps almost ending.

gorillas are very chill irl and hes based mostly on gorillas so i think it's fitting for him to be chillin, bro has no beef.

I have a really batshit theory about Thrawn that I know isn't going to be true but I need to ramble about it--

What if "Thrawn" is a Nightsister illusion designed to aid them in safe passage off their barren world and the real Thrawn is elsewhere?

Ezra, the stormtroopers, and even the Chimaera are all ragged and appear worn by time. There's visible change there. Thrawn looks spotless, like he's jumped into live action straight out of a rebels episode. Something feels off.

Earlier on in the season, Morgan says that "Thrawn calls to her" and then we hear some creepy voices speaking to her that sound nothing like Thrawn. I watched that ep and was like, girl...that's something else. Then we get the reveal that Marrok wasn't a real being but a reanimated corpse/cursed armor via Nightsister magic.

Jump to today's episode, and we land on Peridea and are immediately greeted by Nightsisters.

When we meet Ezra he's just...chillin' apparently, with a nomadic tribe of hermit crab people (very in-character of him tbh). What strikes me as odd is...why would Ezra allow Thrawn to amass an army? This could easily be answered next ep if he mentions that he's been striking out at them periodically but moving around to remain uncaught (he is wearing some form of naturally constructed armor), but...Ezra also seems so...out of the loop? He just seems completely unaware that there's a looming threat at all, and why would he be this way if Thrawn was alive and well and Ezra knew an army was being made.

Idk, maybe the episode just isn't sitting with me right (even though I enjoyed it), but something feels off and I need it to be next week so I can start getting some answers.

RAP:Public Ep.1 Thoughts

I like the idea of the masks to conceal identity. This is similar to Hip Hop Tribe 2 where the auditions were blind until after a certain point in the performance. Also, having the rappers judge is a good idea.

Spoilers below this point

I knew Khan just off the voice lol but then his hoodie fell off and exposed his hair.

It was Gamma. I'm not too familiar with him so I'm not shocked I didn't recognize the voice.

I can tell just by all the promo on ig, including in-person events, and the clips of Khan at the beginning of the episode that he's gonna be a major player in this season.

2nd battle: 1 vs 31 Omg I don't recognize the voice (1) but it feels like a native english speaker. Is 31 kitsyoji? Or mckdaddy? O'domar, yeah I NEVER WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT ONE! Oh but 1 is kaogaii so it wasn't a native english speaker but was someone friends with kitsyoji and mckdaddy lol. Kaogaii did good

3rd: Noh Yunha (10) vs (28). I think from the hair #28 might be Mackidd. Oh no, I think from the voice it's Sky Minhyuk. If so, he's improved a lot from smtm9. Could still use more work but has nonetheless improved. Oh I got it RIGHT! Yunha trying to get that red bull endorsement lol

4th: This is polodared, can tell by size (50) and "the turn off the beat thing" lol vs (30) yang kyle the winner of rapcup (didnt watch the show so I don't know anything about him)

Next battle (7th of the episode): 13 (seems like a native english speaker, no clue) vs 51 (no clue) until the MOMENT he started rapping! Fleeky Bang OBVIOUSLY! His style/voice is SO obvious! Still no clue who 13 is I don't think I've ever heard of him. 13 won by being entertaining. It's hardnto out-entertain Fleeky so damn, that's crazy. 13 is Double Down. Never heard of him until now. But he's cool with foggyatthebottom so I'm sure Chillin Homie and some others from the khiphop scene know or have heard about him.

8th: 4 vs 33. I have no guesses for who either one is. Number 4 just said "Bitch" at the end after messing up so bad lol. 4 is goldbuuda. Xwally. They showed VIIN in this episode too. So I'm interested in seeing how far they go.

9th: 40 vs I think Since? (29) vs 40 is Geegooin! Im sure of it! Lol both so recognizable. Except to Yunha I guess. He didn't recognize Since. The vote was 56 to 2. I think the split was a bit unfair. Geegooin did do really well but I guess Since was so impactful.

9th: 39 vs 8. I don't know who 39 is but maybe Olltii? Or is he still in the military? I don't think it's him? Something about him reminds me of Olltii though. 8? It seems like a lot of the rappers know who he is just based on mannerisms and voice but I can't figure it out. I think 8 won but both did good. Let's see how the rappers vote. 39 was osun. I'm not very familiar with him. I've only heard him on the "GWTM (remix)" so I am excited to see more of him on this show. 8 was Haon. Ok, now I feel like Yunha with Since lol. How did I not realize it was him. I don't listen to Haon that often so I guess it makes sense lol.

Damn, Haon seems so different now compared to HSR2 from the energy he's showing. Obviously he's way older and has more experiences and responsibilities. So it makes sense.

10 th: 45 (no clue) vs 34 (no clue) Based on his style, it seems like if I listened to him often I'd definitely know who it was. So I suspect I don't know this artist. Same with 45 due to the nails and the rap style. 34 wins. Wait, 45 is cocona? Like the kpop girl from xg(?)? She pretended to not be good or something? Wait they didn't mention it so I think she just has the same name. Zene tha Zilla was 34. I don't listen to him often lol

11th: 14 is Don Mills cause everyone already recognized him so they revealed him like they did with Yunha. He's facing 11. I can't tell who he is off mannerisms or hair so I'll wait until he speaks. Nope can't tell. He's speaking Spanish(?) Is it the guy from AP Alchemy? Why can't i remember the name? Vapo? or was it the other one (edited after the battle: I was thinking Chu Seo jun as the "other one" but Vapo was the correct one who speaks Portuguese, not Spanish lol)? Either way, 11 won so we'll see right now. Nah, it was Daniel Jikal. Not familiar with him

12: 23 vs 27 not sure. i think I head some okashii members would come on. I'm not very familiar with them (only heard a few things earlier this year or last year) so could this be them? Well 27, says he doesn't know 23 but it could be an act. Both acted pretty aggressive (27 saying "That shit is weak" to 23s rap. Then 23, touching 27. 23 was Mason Home so I was right about okashii but only based on luck (randomly remembering that I saw rumors that okashii members were coming on the show). 27 was shyboiitobii...i don't think I've ever seen his face. Omg hes cute af 😍😍...🤣🤣🤣. Looks like he gets in some drama later on in the season.

13: 32 (Owen). I didn't guess it. I was too busy writing about 12 lol

14: 46 (not sure) vs ?? He did sound familiar but I remember thinking "He sounds like Justhis somehow but I know it's not him" lol That should've been the giveaway. (Edit: the one with a familiar voice/similar to Justhis, was Khundi Panda)

15: 41 vs 18: I don't think I'm familiar with either artist. 41 somehow reminds me of Chillin Homie but I know it's not him. Both are really good. 41 wins. 30 to 28. 18 is Luci Gang. I am familiar with her lol I don't listen to her that often. I do like what I've heard of her. Chaboom?!? Obviously, I'm familiar with him but I haven't listened to him since the last smtm season he was on. Maybe 6?

How would you rewrite Honest Hearts?

ive actually thought about this more after my last post on this!! even though i did say it's not worth rewriting or fixing or whatever.

feel free to critique. i used this as a brainstorming exercise for a rough outline so not everything is fleshed out. i tried to focus on the story rather than the characters.

caesar has just found out that joshua graham is still alive and the legion is in the process of destroying/taking over new canaan.

the new canaanites and white legs have a history of conflict before the start of honest hearts. the two tribes are constantly at each other’s throats. the new canaanites are known instigators of violence but maintain an ‘innocent’ image and good relations with other traders and settlements, allowing them get away with a lot. they’ve also painted a very negative image of the white legs, labeling them as murderers and criminals.

though, the new canaanites have bit of a reputation - they are an armed militia. no one wants to mess with them. new canaan received a g.e.c.k. and they're more advanced than the settlements around them. (inb4 but how does legion takes over - vulpes and other legion spies found their weak spots or something idk, also they didnt find it viable to go after graham right away since they were still recovering from their loss at hoover dam).

honest hearts takes place four years after the first battle of hoover dam. joshua is in his redemption era. he preaches about his change but you can still see that he craves violence and revegeance. the new canaanites are pushing him towards the violent option, while daniel, the contrarian, wants to protect their ‘innocence’. choosing daniel's path means the new canaanites permanently leave new canaan.

meanwhile, the white legs’ leader sees flaws in caesar’s plans and is wary of their allegiance. but, they want the new canaanites gone, and view the legion as their only hope. the new canaanites have caused trouble for the white legs for almost 100 years, and they will continue to do so.

this gives agency to both the white legs and the new canaanites, preventing joshua graham and daniel from playing the white savior. the white legs are no longer ‘lol violent!!!’, unless you buy into the new canaanites stories. the legion are just kinda chillin.

the story would end in one of three ways: hunt down and kill joshua graham, kill the leader of the new canaanites, or take the pacifist option. killing the leaders would destroy morale. this avoids having to kill all faction members, preventing your computer or xbox 360 from stuttering at 10fps. also, less faction members to kill = you can give the characters their accurate races and givd them voice lines since that was an issue during development.

obviously, you would have to change joshua graham and ulysses’ stories a bit for this to work. i like that joshua graham’s faith strengthens through his suffering. i want to keep that aspect since it's very important to his character. but there should be a point in the story where you can convince him of how his flawed his logic is and how purposely cherrypicking and twisting God's words for his own benefit. or maybe he realizes it on his own. either way, he still sides with the new canaanites because that's his family. he will not betray them.

then, there is also the issue that by doing whatever I just typed out, you remove joshua graham's status as a mythological being, which is another important aspect of his character. i wouldn't want to get rid of that but i havent thought that out yet. so. anyways.

pairing up with the new canaanites would be the least favorable option. it doesn’t lead to the best outcome. maybe you cement joshua graham's status as a mythological figure if you chose this route. same with the pacifist route. next time, the new canaanites will not run away.

i imagine if you help the new canaanites, it would have a huge, negative impact on your reputation with the legion. likewise, if you side with the white legs, it would have a huge, negative impact on your reputation with the ncr.

i would remove the sorrows and dead horses to focus on one group, the white legs. legion has extra content. everyone is happy....? wait. no. i forgot about randall clark!!! never mind.
