a character who has bottled up something terrible that happened to them. maybe it's something they saw, maybe something done to them, whatever it is it's profoundly traumatized them. they keep going, pushing it down, dismissing concerns, or even having suppressed it long enough nobody even knows to be concerned at all. and then one day they talk. one day, because they finally can't take it anymore, or they were so triggered they can't keep it in, or something messed with their control (fever, drug, etc) that they just spilled it out.

and the entire time they're talking, they're shaking so hard it makes it difficult to speak. their friends/teammates/whoever try to listen and try to help, extremely alarmed with how seriously they're affected, but the shaking just keeps getting harder. they're not crying, they're just. shaking.

A character, weak after an ordeal of illness or injury or exhaustion, managing to get themselves more-or-less sitting up but visibly trembling with the effort of remaining upright, every muscle engaged in the feat and quivering as though with the exertion of supporting a tremendous weight, stubbornness about the only thing keeping the weakened character from immediately collapsing.

AMIRA T^T !!! so the dynamic is while i am very much with mihawk, he loves to indulge me >_< him and sir crocodile are .. coworkers .. in a sense so i see him often. there’s definitely sparks there so mihawk takes it upon himself to organize a few things … 😋

overall, they share nicely for the most part and love to team up against me. which is very easy to do because mihawk is 6’5 and crocodile is 8’3. . . so. but every once in awhile, crocodile likes to stir things up and push everyone’s limits. they definitely have a rivalry against each other and i will be caught in the middle (oh no…)

Simon blinked rapidly, willing his eyes to focus on the messy line of stitches crawling up his arm like ants.

The room swam and the doctor dropped the needle with a curse, cradling his arm to his stomach.

Trembling fingers tried to pick up the needle again, but everything tilted, the floor rushing up to meet him. Warm hands caught him and gently lowered him to the floor, their voice loud despite the ringing in his ears.

Why were his ears ringing?

"Doc'. C'mon kid, stay awake, ok? Stay awake - "

The last thing Simon saw before he passed out was Zoë kneeling down next to Mal, River staring at them with wide eyes just outside the infirmary.
