Potential hatchlings from Teyla and Treeflute. Almost all lionfish-noxtide with a tiny chance of crystal and/or alloy, and mostly smoke with some spines. Primary and secondary in greens, and tertiary in blues and greens just barely edging into goldtones.

A pair of festival adopts by Akesari of my floofballs Barrier and Treeflute. Trying to figure out who else in the lair to get them for - if I could afford it, the answer would be all of them, or at least all my LotR dwarven fandragons.

Day 9: Share your favorite Wind dragons
Okay, there is just no way I can cut this down to only 10 dragons. I was Wind Flight for several years and therefor have a lot of wind eyed dragons, and I was already dropping dragons from this photoset before I even reached the hibernal lair. So this is going to be a photoset+ post, with the following additions.
Susuwatari - she was a birthday present, and the only of my Studio Ghibli fandragons I still have:
Tumblr media
Blue - another fandragon, lead raptor of the Raptor Squad from Jurassic World. Bred him myself, and yeah, I know he should be a she, but long story.
Tumblr media
Loki - another very early fandragon, and another I bred myself:
Tumblr media
RosieCotton - because she is freakin’ gorgeous:

Possible offspring of Lichen and Treeflute. Roughly equal amounts of metallic vs crystal and bee vs alloy, and rather more smoke than spines, in a range of mostly dark and/or muted greens, with a tertiary extending through the light greens and bright blue-greens into the dark blues. Somewhat more likely to be tundra than spiral due to the breed rarity difference.

Clutch #1669 - Teyla/Treeflute
Mated On: 2019-02-02 # of eggs: 3 Hatched On: 2019-02-07
Progeny:
Hatchling 4411 (Leafstrike) - Tundra Male, Olive Lionfish/Chartreuse Noxtide/Honeydew Peacock, Uncommon - 15,000 on 2019-02-13
Hatchling 4412 (MrGreen) - Tundra Male, Leaf Lionfish/Green Noxtide/Thicket Peacock, Common - 15,000 on 2019-02-08
Hatchling 4413 (Vainamoinen) - Tundra Male, Honeydew Lionfish/Camo Noxtide/Chartreuse Smoke, Uncommon - 15,000 on 2019-02-10
Comments: I have to admit I’m pretty meh overall on most of Teyla and Treeflute’s offspring so far. He’s a keep-forever so I’m thinking I may move him off to hibernal and then either sell Teyla or, since I kind of love how she looks, find an XXY or XXX of olive mate for her and breed specifically for her general look.

Clutch #1649 - Teyla/Treeflute
Mated On: 2019-01-13 # of eggs: 2 Hatched On: 2019-01-18
Progeny:
Hatchling 4357 (Lloyd) - Tundra XYY Male, Olive Lionfish/Leaf Noxtide/Leaf Peacock, Uncommon - 40,000 on 2019-01-25
Hatchling 4358 (Chester) - Tundra Male, Peridot Lionfish/Spring Noxtide/Peacock Peacock, Unusual - 25,000 on 2019-01-27
Comments: Huh... peacock peacock... looks like I need to tweak the way I tag the peacock gene so as not to confuse it with the peacock colour. Question is, do I do it the same way as I did for smoke (smoke for the gene, smoke colour for the colour since it came along later), or given how many peacock entries I already have since the colour has been around for ages, do I reverse it and do peacock for the colour, and peacock gene for the gene??
*Checks tag*
Yeah, seven pages of posts that are already tagged “peacock”... I guess it’ll be “peacock gene” as the easier option to implement.

Possible offspring of Firemoss and Treeflute. Roughly equal amounts of metallic vs crystal and butterfly vs alloy, and almost all smoke with just a very rare chance of glimmer. Primary of greens and goldtones, secondary of greens, and tertiary of blues and greens. Much more likely to be tundra than skydancer thanks to the breed rarity difference.

Potential offspring of Wisteria and Treeflute, two of my currently unmated dragons whose genetics work out well enough to pair them with each other for now. Offspring will be mostly tundras in crystal with roughly equal amounts of facet vs shimmer and almost all smoke with a very rare stained tertiary. Primary-secondary in blues and greens, and tertiary running from pinks through near-whites, greys, blacks, purples, and blues.

Day 26: Share your favorite Tundras
I have so many tundras. I possibly even have more tundras than gaolers, though I’d need to inventory my dragons to be sure. Part of that is my weakness in general for male tundras (I’m meh on the females, but the males are just so regal). Then there was the decision that of course my LotR dwarven fandragons had to be tundras, because hair. And then I tripped and fell into loving the Lycaon subspecies, which is tundra-based (though has since expanded to include gaolers). So, yeah. Tundras. I haz them.
This could easily have expanded to be a multi-photoset post, because I love most of my dwarves and lycaon. They’re just all so handsome (or pretty). And fluffy.
Okay, just a couple more of the LotR fandragons, because I adore how well they and their outfits turned out. Ori, with his book:
Tumblr media
And Dain, because I love his genetics (and his outfit is good too):
Tumblr media
And one last one, for all the other Lord of The Rings Online players out there - Nar. You guys know this guy. That faceted works so well for his eyes.

Hatchling 4303 (Talamir) - Tundra Male, Fern Lionfish/Swamp Noxtide/Camo Smoke, Uncommon - 15,532 on 2019-01-08
Comments: *Just barely restraining from posting a lengthy rant - have a short one in its place*
FU Tumblr and your “May contain adult content” hiding of posts. Treeflute’s blog post shows a DRAGON. Not ‘female presenting nipples’, not an explicit sex act, not a cock. Treeflute is a D R A G O N.
Looks like I am going to have to put in the incredibly annoying effort to page back through another 4+ years of blog posts (since I’ve only done the most recent year’s worth so far) to find and request review on yet more posts. Joy! Not.
