Public records show the company "Flannery Associates LLC" began purchasing land around the military base in 2018. The controversy was first reported by the Wall Street Journal. Investigators say those acquisitions ramped up in 2023.

"Now literally three sides of that base are totally controlled by the Flannery group," Rep. Garamendi said.

Yet no one - including local, state, and federal officials -- can seem to track down who's behind the group.

According to Garamendi, Flannery Associates has also acquired land around the interstate electrical grid system stemming from the Columbia River into Central California - including land that houses wind turbines that provide significant power into Northern California.

In the meantime, Garamendi says the company continues to negatively impact the farming community in Solano County. He says at least 10 landowners are being sued by Flannery, accused of being engaged in an illegal scheme to prevent the company from buying their land.

leo ... is a straight up army brat — having been born on travis air force base in northern california . his father , an air force airman while his mother , a stay-at-home mom once elementary school teacher . 

he is the youngest of four siblings and therefore , the most spoiled especially being the only boy out of his sisters . 

he moved around a lot growing up — even though their primary residence was on travis AFB , they still moved from place to place wherever their father was needed . after all , he’s been command chief master sergeant for the past thirty years . he didn’t get to that rank just sitting on his ass and he instilled this behavior in his children , especially leo . 

it was expected of leo to join the military when he got older — enlisting when he was fresh out of high school at eighteen . his oldest sister also enlisted while his middle sisters opted for married life .

while in traveling in hawaii at hickman afb on assignment , leonardo met his first and only wife . they were young , they were in-love ... or so she thought . she wound up pregnant , leo ... being who he was raised by , asked for her hand in marriage . 

their daughter stella was born on january 23rd , 2006 when leo was just 23 . the two of them left hawaii , setting up home in los angeles .

leo , unlike his father , would opt to leave active duty ; getting honorable discharge at the age of 28 after completing his 10 years in service . his father , although not happy with his decision , understood . 

at the age of 29 , he joined the police ranks and has been apart of the LAPD for the past ten years . jumping in the ranks due to his disciplined military background . 

after eight years of marriage , leo and his wife called it quits after his ... let’s say ... unfaithful tendencies . sighting irreconcilable differences , the divorce was finalized in 2015 — the two of them having shared custody of their daughter . 

after his divorce , there was no woman who could tie this man down for long . his eyes wander , his charm undeniable . he just recently broke up with his last partner ... if you could even call it that . in his eyes , they weren’t even really committed to each other . but in her eyes ... she was ready to introduce that man to her family . 

welp , since his divorce he ended up moving in with some roommates of his on the force only for them to get on his fuckin nerves after a while . he has since been rooming with his best friend , garrett for the past few years ; the two of them recently calling wisteria home . 

his daughter frequently comes to visit - when that usually happens , he sleeps on the air bed while she gets the bed . #girldad 

uhhhh he’s a nice dude - he’s the type of cop to let you go in a traffic stop cus he just dont got time . he a little too high up there to care about alllat . he’s also pretty active in the community wanting high school aged kids to take the military into consideration — he basically get two paychecks every two weeks ......... like dawg ???? 

people ask why he wanna live with roommates , they’re his besties thats why and also he doesn’t have a whole ass fam so he doesnt see the reason to have his own home . plus he’s barely there due to his rigorous career .

There was a crackle of static, and then a voice said "-peating, this is Bravo Uniform Foxtrot Four Niner, requesting navigational update and bearing to Barksdale AFB, over."

The Captain looked at his bridge crew. They looked back at him, equally mystified. He looked at the Ensign seated at the Comms console.

"Mr Travis, can you reproduce their emission pattern and broadcast to them?"

Travis nodded and tapped at his console for a few seconds. "Channel is open, sir."

"Attention unidentified craft. This is Captain Bowie of the Imperial Texan Fleet. You are currently thirty-eight light minutes away from Barnard's Star and approximately five point nine six light years off course."

There was silence for several seconds. Then the voice came from the bridge speakers again.

"... Told you we should have turned left at Alberqueque."

Lieutenant Colonel Shawna Rochelle Kimbrell (born April 20, 1976) is the first African American female fighter pilot in the US Air Force. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana to Eve Blackman Ng A Qui and Dr. Norman N A Qui, who migrated from Guyana. The family moved to Parker, Colorado. She decided she wanted to become a fighter pilot in the fourth grade and had her first flight lesson at the age of fourteen. She joined the Civil Air Patrol and worked at air shows while earning her private pilot’s license.

She received her commission after she graduated from the US Air Force Academy in Colorado with a BS in General Engineering. She received an MS in Business Administration from Touro University. She attended undergraduate pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base and earned her pilot wings. She completed Introduction to Fighter Fundamental training at Randolph AFB. She graduated from F-16 training at Luke AFB and became the first African American female fighter pilot in the USAF.

Her first operational assignment was with the 13th Fighter Squadron. She served as an F-16 fighter pilot, in support of Operation Northern and Southern Watch. She was the first African American female to fly in a combat mission for the 35th Fighter Wing. She served in the 8th Operations Support Squadron at the Kunsan Air Base as an F-16 fighter pilot and Chief of Wing Scheduling. She graduated from the Joint Fire Control Course and was assigned to the 15th Air Support Operations Squadron.

She served as the course manager for the Air Liaison Officer Qualification Course and instructor with the 6th Combat Training Squadron. She is a member of the 78th Attack Squadron and serves as an MQ-9 pilot and Mission Commander.

She has over 2,100 flight hours and has been awarded numerous awards throughout her career, including five Aerial Achievement Medals, two Air Force Commendations Medals, and the National Defense Service Medal. She married Travis Kimbrell and they have two sons. She works as a course manager and instructor for the Air Liaison Officer Qualification Course. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence
