Shocking news: being "high maintenance" aka going out of your way and spending time and energy on doing many little things to have your life the way you like it ... actually improves your quality of life
#i think the opposing pressure is the fear that doing the many little things will mean you can't do without them#which is a real fear but for me i'm needing more to cross that bridge when i come to it if ever#i can tell you for example right now that bringing foods from home and both a car teakettle and a small plugin teakettle#is dramatically improving my travel life and also my friends' who are using the kettle#saying ''actually i need more downtime before leaving'' and ''no i need to go sleep instead of hanging out''#is keeping me functional and pleasant and able to drive people around and make plans#bringing my own pillow and stopping to stretch several times throughout the day and taking preventative ibuprofen#has kept me from head and body aches#it feels embarrassing to be like ''oh i can't actually function well without these foods and teas and pillow''#but like. i can't function well without them. so isn't it better to use them than suffer in silence?

Okay, to counteract all my complaining, here are some (lore friendly) mods that I just like a lot (no animals, people, weapons/armors, mesh/texture replacers, etc. because there's too many and it gets boring.)
-
Ghosts of the Deathbells: adds a really rare, somber event to picking a deathbell flower.
Falmeroon: adds Snow Elf ruins to some remote edges of the map. I've made an unofficial SE port here.
Snow Whale Bones: adds the remains of Snow Whales in some mountainous areas (iffy canon but sorry they are Cool.)
Windmills of Skyrim: adds windmills with unique, custom-painted sails to farms.
Scarecrows of Skyrim: adds scarecrows to farms.
Scribes of Skyrim: makes books and notes use a variety of typefaces (any fellow Pentiment fans out there?)
The Old Ways-Nordic Religion: adds totems representing the Nordic pantheon around Skyrim. Has patches for the next recommendation.
The Great Towns/Villages series: overhauls the smaller, worldspace towns in a really cool way, includes voice-acted NPCs. Personally, I like Kynesgrove the best because it actually adds to the lore about the Nordic pantheon. For Shor's Stone, I recommend this mod as well.
Redbag's Rorikstead: I like this mod over Great Village's version because the houses have sod roofs and I'm a sucker for sod roofs.
Capital Windhelm Expansion: adds some really thoughtful lore touches (Dunmer refugees outside the walls, an Arena, and a cool vampire quest)
Relic of Dawnstar: adds a Gehenoth skull to the White Hall (requires Cities of the North), inspired by the lore of the Travels game
Environs series: thoughtful additions that makes certain places change over time.
WiZKid's mods: especially Lund's Hut, Lively Farms, Icy Windhelm, Pinewatch, Hall of the Dead Stained Glass Windows, and Pavo's House. Sepolcri is also pretty good but loses immersion points for using celtic cross gravestones. You can pry Lanterns of Skyrim II from my cold, dead hands, though. Lux? Idk her, LoSII is my bestie.
Fancy Sleeping Tree Replacer: the Sleeping Tree is supposed to be a remnant of the sentient trees of the flying city of Umbriel (from the novels.) It should be weird, is what I'm saying, and this mod makes it alien and beautiful.
Unique Culture Riverwood: a mod that gives Riverwood its own style of farmhouse and a little more personality. The author has also made a mod for Falkreath.
Immersive World Encounters: adds more and edits World Encounters, including encountering faction NPCs out and about (ex. the Companions outside of Whiterun doing Companion-y things in the wilderness).
Glorious Doors of Skyrim: adds some really cool doors. 'nuff said.
Redbag's Dragonreach: adds some unique flair to Jarl Ballin's crib.
Cultured Orc Furniture: replaces generic furniture in Orc Strongholds with custom furniture.
Lavinia's Memorial: adds some gifts from her grieving parents to the little girl's grave in Falkreath. Ouch.
Nocturnal Moths: adds moths that spawn around lanterns at night.
Moons and Stars: fixes the positions of the stars and moons, as well as making moon phases consistent.
DK's Realistic Nord Ships: replaces Skyrim's ships with some gorgeous new models.
Morgenstern's Mushroom Circles: adds more fairy rings in the wilderness. Delightful!
Bloodmoon Brodir Grove: makes the grove in Solstheim a little more like it was in the Morrowind DLC. The mod author also has more mods that bring Bloodmoon details and locations to Solstheim.
Ships of the Horizon: does what it says on the tin.
EVG Animation Variance: the whole animation series by Everglaid is nice (haven't tried Traversal yet, but that is some incredible technology) but I especially like this one for the old people animations
jasperthegnome's houses: these are SO cozy and comfy.
Arctic- Frost Effects Redux: makes frost spells have cooler effects (including 3D ice spikes)
Northern Roads- Let Me Guess Someone Stole Your Sweetroads: a plugin that cuts down on Northern Roads, removing all the landscape changes and bridges and just keeping the clutter. Way more compatible than the original mod.
Skyrim Bridges: this is my favorite bridge mod. There are many, but I like this one best.
Edit: forgot two tiny mods in my original post:
Nightcaller Temple Unique Shrine of Mara: replaces the generic shrine with a wooden shrine Erandur carved
Broken Tower Redoubt Unique Shrine of Dibella: similar to the above mod, but Reachmen carved this one.

Kind of hit art block sooo here's something else I've been working on!
I'm just getting into RPG Maker meaning this is a very rough, very early stage of what I'm working on. It's a WoF RPG, though what I'm currently focusing on getting familiar with the program and some basic techniques/mechanics.
I'm trying to figure out the limitations and capabilities of RPG Maker MV, so I haven't come up with too many ideas for the game. Regardless, here are some things I want to try to implement:
Choose your tribe
Character customization
Relationship mechanics
Traveling to different kingdoms
Jade Mountain Academy
If you know of any good plugins or have suggestions I'd be happy to hear them :>

my getting into ffxiv guide
- please for the love of god download the trial before spending 60$ on the game and the 15$ subscription only to find it its not your vibe
- the beginning is not incredibly exciting and a bit cliche but if you can get through it you will find the world building in the start to be beautiful
- right click hud or textboxes and make the elements bigger if theyre small on your screen
- download reshade and find a nice present online for ffxiv, the game can be a bit gray and brown in the starting areas
- download xivlauncher if you want plugins and if you want mods look up ffxiv mod carrd for a good tutorial to how it works
- know that there is no cross regional travel (yet), if you want to play with friends in other countries

List of Miraclass's Senti-monsters
As I've stated earlier, I STRONGLY feel as though the monster part of sentimonster has been underutilized in favor of exoloring sentihumans. So to rectify that, I've been thinking up some sentimonster designs in my head for the class to possibly use in my fanfic Replay.
Part 1
~*~
Alya's sentimonster represents her ambition to find and share knowledge at any cost, and the hunger associated with it.
It is a pale orange fox made of pure electricity with a bright Jack o lantern face. It's electrical body allows it to travel via electrical currents, and it cannot be knocked back. However, it cannot knock back enemies, only electrocute and paralyze others. Furthermore, it cannot easily interact with physical objects.
~*~
Nino's sentimonster represents his conflicting love for life and his suicidal ideation. It is a large cello with a water cello in its body, a cricket's head and legs behind the cello so the cello is its back and back of its head. And two smaller, double jointed shorter legs for movement and playing itself.
It's awkward build makes it difficult to do melee attacks, but it can use its body for sonic attacks and control its water like a gut enveloping prey before dragging it back in. It's heavy body and natural defense making it a great moving shield.
~*~
Sabrina's sentimonster represents her desire for love at all cost. It is a long Butterfly with double jointed fingers for wings. It's large enough to cover the human body and prefers to do so. It provides light armor and extra gripping abilities to it's bearer, and will curl up into a lotus shape when alone.
~*~
Max's senti-monster is named Trojan and represents his pride. It is a small, paneled electronic orb with several panels. It prefers to move by moving panels and rolling, but it can use it's panels to "walk" for short distances. It's front panel has a horse's head when "walking" or resting and it's back panel opens to reveal a tail made of cords that connect to everything. Along it's body are several plugins.
This monster specializes in hacking and will break into any system, magical or otherwise, but it's poor movement makes it a horrible fighter.

hiii miss terra i’m starting a feminist literature club at my uni. as a teacher do u have any advice for moderation techniques to lead without controlling? or just any advice for community organizing?
You have to come in totally supportive, never come off dismissive, free of anxiety, and ready to listen to other feminists who have learned highly diverging theory to foster a community where a state of constant disagreement isn't a cause for a blowout. many of them will be complete opposites on the ideas spectrum or totally believe in elevating systems that actively kill women.
But being a community leader means that you navigate conflict and resolve discourses by accepting the fact that other women have complete self autonomy over their own views. Your job isn't to change the ideas other people have formed.
Laying down that one solid base rule of no beefing & putting down other members is of central importance! Infighting, haterade, and paranoid thinking between women has absolutely destroyed so many strong feminist communities.
My universal crowd control technique is to clap shave and a haircut and get two bits back from the crowd when I need to get attention or quiet down a room. my favorite preemptive tactic is environmental manipulation where I travel with a vanilla glade plugin, immediately play slow classical piano music, make it dark as possible, and let in a peek of natural light. A big sit-down rug can be EVERYTHING for a community space lol. Immediately cozy and de-stresses the mood of everyone present :)

10 SEO Secrets To Successful Travel Blogging
Travel blogging is a great way to earn money and make an impact on the world. But how do you become successful in this long-term industry? The key is to know the SEO secrets that make your WordPress Travel site SEO Friendly.
Travel blogging is not just a way to share your experiences while traveling. In fact, you can make more money from travel blogging. Why? Because of SEO.
Luckily, there are also some SEO secrets that will help you go from a beginner to an expert in no time! Following these tips on how to rank higher with your travel blog is the best way to get more traffic, find more customers, and increase revenue.
We’ve put together a list of high-converting SEO secrets that focus on these three things: making new friends and clients; getting sales via advertising, and following up with blogging posts that keep leads coming back for more information about what/where they’re traveling.
If you’re interested in travel blogging, it’s important to understand the basics of search engine optimization (SEO) and how to get your site indexed by the major search engines.
This can help your blog become visible to potential readers and create more opportunities for you in the future.
Here are 10 SEO secrets to success.
1. Create a Great-Looking Blog
A blog is the heart of any travel business. It’s where you share your experiences, photos, and videos with others who are interested in your industry or hobby. When someone visits your blog, they see a variety of content that tells them about you, your business, and what you do for a living.
You don’t have to be an expert in design or have a design degree to create an attractive blog that people want to visit regularly. All you need is a little bit of creativity and some knowledge of how to use WordPress themes and plugins that can make your blog look professional without costing you an arm and a leg!
2. Include Product Videos
If you’re selling something — whether it’s an item on your website or if it’s just an experience — then it makes sense to include videos on your site showing how the product works or how it was created.
This helps potential customers decide whether they want the product before they buy it (and saves them some money if they decide not to buy it after all).
Including video content isn’t just about making sure customers know what you offer but also about increasing sales by showing visitors how easy it is for them.
3. Write long-form content
Long-form writing creates trust with readers because it shows that you know what you’re talking about and actually care about sharing useful information with them – so make sure to use this format whenever possible!
When you’re writing a travel blog, it’s important to create long-form content that educates and inspires your readers.
Long-form articles can be any length, but they should include at least 1200 words and ideally 2000 words or more. They should also include high-quality images with descriptive captions and links to related information in the article.
You can include travel itineraries in the articles to make them more interesting. For that, you can use our WordPress itinerary plugin which helps you to create the best travel itinerary.
Thus, you can create long-form content which will give your readers context about where you’ve been and what you’ve learned from it.
It also helps you connect with other people who are interested in similar topics as you are, so you can find opportunities for collaboration or networking.
4. Use the Keyword Tool for your niche
The first thing you need to know about SEO is that it’s not just about keywords. It’s about content and links. The more relevant your content is to the audience, the better chance you have of ranking in Google. So start by using a keyword research tool like Ahrefs or SEMrush to find out what people are searching for when they visit your blog.
5. Use the right keywords
It sounds simple, but many travel blogs don’t think about keyword research when they’re building their site pages. The reason is that they want to avoid writing about things that don’t sell (like destinations).
But without keywords, there’s no way for Google (or anyone else) to find out about those topics — so using them will give visitors an idea of what you have to offer them before they even click on your site.
The best way to find keywords that are relevant to your blog is to use the Google Keyword Planner. The tool will show you all of the keywords that people are typing into Google and how much search volume there is for them.
You can also see where they rank in the SERPs, which is a great way to determine which ones are worth spending time on and which ones aren’t worth it.
6. Guest Posting
Another way to get more traffic to your travel blog is by guest posting on other travel blogs or websites. This is a great way to build your following and get exposure for your own site as well.
The key is to make sure that the guest post is relevant and interesting for the audience of the site where it’s being posted so that they’ll want to read it on yours as well!
Guest posting is a great way to build credibility, reach new audiences and help your travel blog get noticed by other bloggers in the industry.
The more you guest post, the better your blog will rank on Google and other search engines. Your guest posts should be well-written and targeted toward the target audience of your blog.
7. Link Building
Link building is one of the most essential aspects of blogging. You can build links to your site from many places, but in this case, we will focus on how to build links from Google.
A link is a connection between two websites. When you click on a link, it takes you to another website. Links are important because they provide you with more traffic and they help search engines understand the importance of your site.
When you build links to your blog, it helps people find out more about what you have to offer. Link building can be done in different ways, but the most effective way is using content marketing strategies and creating great content for your blog.
8. Page Speed
Page speed is one of the most important factors when it comes to search engine optimization. Getting high page speed scores can make you more visible in Google’s SERPs. If your website is slow, it will be hard for people to find your content and visit your site.
This can be a problem in search engine optimization. If your site takes too long to load, it will likely lose rankings in the search engines because Google and other search engines look for pages with faster load times.
You can check your page speed by using Google’s Page Speed Insights tool. You’ll have to go into Settings and then click on Site Search Console from the left-hand menu, then click on Advanced Tools from the drop-down menu under Site Search Console.
Once there, scroll down until you see Page Speed Insights and click on it. It will show you how fast your page loads in comparison with other sites that are already indexed by Google and other search engines.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 1 Pt. 11 (Buttercup's Lament)
Soon after the Nesbitts returned to Henford, Hazel started grade school and Heather returned to Sherman Bagley High. For weeks Heather was sad and depressed but wouldn’t talk about it, no matter how close she was to her parents and no matter how much they wanted to cheer her up. Eventually, Daisy figured out the reason after a visit to the Pancakes to check on Annette and Elizabeth, where Everett was flirting endlessly with Spencer Kim-Lewis, his new girlfriend.
Heather had long harboured a crush on her lifelong best friend, and his affection for their mutual close friend Spencer caught Heather off guard. She didn’t want to lose either of them as friends, but she hated seeing them kiss and flirt in the hallways at school. She tried to pretend it bothered her far less than it did, claiming she was happier single and focusing on her skills. She still entered video game tournaments regularly and even placed third in a few, but this hardly earned enough for vet classes. She resolved to get even better.
One night she babysat for her siblings while her parents joined Bob and Annette for a double date at the Spice Festival in the city, but loner Bob came home early, always overwhelmed by crowds. He was a little bit drunk, sniffing the flowers in the laneway behind Cobblebottom Street, and whatever came over Heather would require years of therapy for her to unpack. At least she recognized it – but flirting with Everett’s sauced father was a low point for her. She was grateful no one witnessed it, and more grateful still when Bob woke up hungover with no memory of what Heather had said to him. Even Heather wanted to forget. She’d never make Everett see what he was missing through his own father’s eyes, and her naivete filled her with self-loathing.
Soon after, she made a point to talk things through with Spencer. Spencer liked Everett, Everett liked Spencer, and Heather cared about them both. Resolving to get over him once and for all, Heather threw herself into video game tournaments – she even finished second in one for Incredible Sports and made 450 simoleons. Even though she was outgoing and made friends easily, she was single and loved it, too. When she wasn’t gaming, she was building plugins and practicing programming while teaching herself lab work on the vet station in the yard. The second vet station, to be exact, after River’s good friend Carlton Bell set the first one on fire in an experiment gone wrong.
The Nesbitts travelled to San Myshuno for a double celebration – attending Geekcon as a family and to celebrate Holly becoming a teenager. Holly was the only Nesbitt to get Daisy’s blonde hair, but she had Neal’s hazel eyes, just like brunette Heather. Holly was a generous soul, but she was spoiled. All the Nesbitt children were, but Neal and Daisy wouldn’t apologize. Their kids worked hard, and they had a blast together in the city. After the festival ended, they wandered uptown to Myshuno Meadows to check out the observatory and disaster memorial garden. Heather remembered to get a photo of the skyline for Dylan Kraus, a school friend who worked as a grocery deliverer for Abby Goldbloom and dreamed of a world beyond Henford after high school. Dylan was also the new mayor’s daughter, and Susan Richey-Kraus thought the best place for Dylan was the town where she served as mayor. Dylan strongly disagreed.
Would Heather be able to get past her feelings for Everett and focus on other interests? ->

Hasajkldska @soul-matter hope you don't mind if I make this it's own post because your question made me realized I have never coherently explained my groupchat au
The yugioh groupchat au is the bucket where I throw all my headcanons and imaginary oneshots involving the yugioh protags. The basics of the au are that all the yugioh protagonists are in a discord server together, ad have the special kind of ride-or-die friendship found between long distance internet friends who have met in person maybe twice if they're lucky. Yugi started the gc (he's the moderator) with Jaden and Yusei after the events of Bonds Beyond Time (for the sake of this au, the gaps between series is getting squished so there's no time travel involved), as a way to keep in touch. Now, whenever they find another kid with trauma, a knack for cardgames, and frightening knowledge of the cosmos, they shoot 'em an invite. I went into a little more detail here
Other fun facts about this au:
It has an entire expanded lore and cosmology because I can't help myself. The bois have an entire channel dedicated to trying to figure out how it works. It's mostly just a record of wild things Jaden has said offhand and then refused to elaborate on.
Part of the reason they never see each other outside of international tournaments is that only Yugi and Jaden actually live in the states (and with Jaden, he spends half his time traveling or in the dark world so who knows where that boy is at any given time). Yusei and Yusaku (and probably the sevens and go rush kids, haven't decided yet) are in Japan, Yuya is in Mexico, and Yuma is in the Philippines.
Occasionally, Astral will pop in while he's visiting Yuma, but he's notorious for not remembering to log out of Yuma's accounts, leaving everyone to wonder if the person in the gc at 2am asking "do pigeons have feelings?" is an alien, or just a very sleep deprived Yuma.
Jaden and Yuya like to pester Yusaku to write them a plugin that enables keyboard support for the Eldritch Language Of The Damned that they both are fluent in.
Yusaku refuses to do this.
#secret headcanon that may not be canon once I watch Vrains:#Ai is trapped there as a bot because Yusaku decreed that Naughty Ai Must Go To The GC To Atone For Their Crimes#no one give me anymore spoilers than I already have but that is schrodingers headcanon for now#yugioh#yugioh gc au#ygo#yugioh dm#yugioh gx#yugioh 5ds#yugioh zexal#yugioh arc v#yugioh vrains#yugi moto#jaden yuki#yuki judai#yusei fudo#yuma tsukumo#yuya sakaki#yusaku fujiki

crystal's tunes #2: WORRY. by Jeff Rosenstock (2016)
i was going to wait a while before talking about this album, but i mean come on, it's literally got a track called June 21st. if i was gonna do it any day it'd be today.
WORRY. is an album that's very special to me. i originally discovered it via James Acaster's book Perfect Sound Whatever (named after the closing track of the album), and in the years since it's become one of my most listened to albums of all time. i'm not going to link any specific songs here, because i feel like the album is meant to be listened to in its entirety.
this was the second studio album Jeff released after the end of his previous project, ska-punk collective Bomb the Music Industry!, which in itself was born out of the end of his previous-previous project The Arrogant Sons of Bitches. this album really feels like a culmination of all of his work leading up to this, refined to a T and bursting with energy.
"We're not stupid people but this financial oppression has got everyone believing all that we can do is nothing/'Cause we organise through avenues they lace with advertisements so the ones we rage against are still lining their pockets" - Festival Song (Track 3)
thematically, the album discusses a variety of issues with modern-day America, such as landlords/gentrification, the coroprate sponsors of festivals and culture, social media mining your data, police brutality, and how the world just keeps getting worse due to capitalism in general. this is especially evident on tracks such as Festival Song, Staring Out The Window at Your Old Apartment, Blast Damage Days, HELLLLHOOOOLE, and The Fuzz, but is present throughout the album. he also touches on some more personal issues, such as alcoholism and the struggles of being a DIY musician.
the production here is absolutely top-notch, every single element is balanced perfectly, guitars are clear and crushing when they need to be, drums are punchy, vocals cut through well and instruments such as saxophones, glockenspiels and synths are used in certain songs to offer various different sonic textures. its not just the instruments that are varied here though, he also travels across a number of styles such as his classic ska-punk on the 91 second track Rainbow, to more hardcore punk on 30 second track Planet Luxury.
the A-side of this album is fantastic, with tracks like We Begged 2 Explode, Pash Rash and Festival Song becoming fan favourites and staples of his live sets, but i think this album really comes into its own during it's B-side. every track from Blast Damage Days through to the final track Perfect Sound Whatever perfectly transition into each other, creating a medley of different punk subgenres that is absolutely incredible. it's cathartic and danceable all in one, and its one of my favourite things he's done on an album.
"Whenever we feel ashamed, being alive and awake in such an era of hate and military police/These are the mass murder days, we are the blast damage age, where we can't love anything, because they keep us afraid/Oh, I will be there, kicking, fighting, beating, screaming 'There's no fucking way I'm ever letting go of you!'" - Blast Damage Days (Track 9)
the album builds up in energy until its final anthemic, gang vocal repetitions of "Perfect always takes so long, because it don't exist/It doesn't exist!", which is one of Jeff's main mission statements creatively. the first Bomb the Music Industry! album Album Minus Band has anti-piracy hiss throughout from various plugins he used the demo versions of instead of buying, and a track that's project files corrupted so he couldnt mix it properly, but all of that just adds to the artistry of it all. nothing can ever truly be perfect, so just be honest and authentic and do what you want, because in both art and people, our imperfections are what make us whole. i'm not a perfect person, and that's alright. i may have my own anti-piracy demo plugin hiss in my brain, but that's just part of what makes me myself - i wouldn't truly be me without it, and that's beautiful.
i think this album is truly great because despite the overwhelmingly negative topics being discussed, in the end its hopeful, even if the world or your life seem like theyre fucked, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. the penultimate track ...While You're Alive, ends with the verse "And it's not like the love that they show us on TV/It's a home that can burn, it's a limb to freeze/It's worry/Love is worry". this can just be taken at face value as the fact that when you love someone you worry about them, but i interpret it a different way, especially with the context of the rest of the album.
when the government and systems are against you, you're fighting your own brain, and you're overwhelmed with worry, that worry is coming from a place of love, because you wouldnt worry about something you dont care about. you love yourself, you love the world, and in a way, your anxieties are really just a form of expressing your care and love even if it feels like fear, and anger, and sadness. and, for me at least, that's one of the most reassuring messages i've ever been given from an album. thanks, jeff.
"Because it's June 21st, and this winter was the worst we've ever seen, but we made it through the freeze/And now it's June 21st, and this winter was the worst we've ever seen, now it's 84 degrees forever." - June 21st (Track 14)
