Dylan was the kind of sleeper that nothing could wake. Marco had learned that early in their relationship, thunderstorms, car alarms, even a loud neighbor’s midnight vacuuming spree hadn’t stirred him. The only thing that reliably worked was the smell of breakfast or a firm shake. But Marco had learned to use that deep sleep to his advantage.
And for the past month, he’d been preparing for this.
Dylan had always been soft, with just a hint of a belly and a little plush to his thighs. Marco loved every inch of him. But he also fantasized about more. More belly to feed. More weight to move. More of Dylan, helplessly stuffed, overflowing with size, and utterly at Marco’s mercy.
The plan was simple, if a little insane. A carefully rigged feeding tube setup. A fridge full of high-calorie shakes and creamy, rich concoctions Marco had perfected through trial and error. Special weight gain powders blended with melted ice cream, condensed milk, and butter. And, most importantly, Dylan’s sleep schedule.
That night, Dylan was out cold by 9 PM. Marco had pampered him, spoiled him with a heavy, carb-loaded dinner, warm bath, and long body massage until his boyfriend was fully relaxed and snoring. With the lights dimmed and his heart pounding in anticipation, Marco got to work.

“You are,” Marco whispered, running his fingers over the curve of Dylan’s belly. “Three hundred pounds bigger. I’ve been feeding you all night.”
Dylan whimpered, both hands sinking into the overfed softness of his belly. “I can’t even move…”
“That’s okay,” Marco murmured. “You don’t need to. I’ll take care of everything. You just lie there and grow for me.”

Tesla's induction motor operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, properly utilizing a rotating magnetic field that induces a current in a stationary conductor, resulting in rotational motion. The utilization of the rotating magnetic field makes the motor more simple, robust, versatile, efficient, and cost effective in that it has less moving parts reducing the likelihood of mechanical failure (as was common in other motors).

He’ll miss it all.
He’ll miss the routine.
The slow, apple crispy morning.
The fresh ingredients that he’d cook every night for his meals.
How his tan line would fade as soon as his body is accustomed to what’s beyond outside of Earth.
He’ll miss his usual breakfast. Four eggs– medium range, scrambled with two thick pork sausages, along with a side of salad for a balance of protein and vegetables, and exactly fifteen ounces of orange juice vitamin smoothie mix to wash down the remaining sausage taste.
Plus, the feel of gravity is not the same when you’re in space.
Yeah yeah, just take a look at this document before the newcomer arrives. His higher-up’s words rang in his mind before he’s left alone in the Tulpar, where the only sound he heard were the rhythmic beats from the computer screens.
She’s gonna be your Co-Pilot, so be nice. Teach her a few things or two, won’t ya?
He looked through the document once more, where a few words, typed in twelve point Times New Roman font (how professional, coming from them), sent his heart pumping. The document detailed a resume– you.
Your name, your accomplishments, your identity photo, all typed in just two pages.
Sure, he had worked with previous co-pilots before, but never a woman, and one who is younger than him by a few years.
Alone in the cockpit before everyone arrived, he whispered your name out aloud– and for the first time ever, it felt sweet.
Like– orange type of tanginess.
He imagined calling you as the two of you meet for the first time, handshakes ready and smiles plastered on.
Or maybe waving to you across the hallway of the Tulpar, approaching you with a wide smile and a cup of tea in hand.
Or perhaps–
“Ah, hello…” A voice called out to him, and he turned his back to find you standing in front of him, stabilizing yourself against the door, while your shoulder was holding onto a large duffel bag.
The moment he looked at you, air vacuumed out of his lungs from your appearance.
“Hi, you must be my Captain.” You cooly say, tone almost socking him in his gut. “I’m your co-pilot, nice to meet you.”
Despite your cool tone, your brown eyes– in a hue that crosses between brown and black, flickered to him for a second before darting elsewhere. Hummingbird.
“Yes, nice to meet you.” He beamed when he stood up, hand already outstretched for a handshake. “I’m Captain Curly, great to have you on board.”
He noticed that your hands, compared to his calloused, rough ones, are smoother, with a few scars on your knuckles. Still, your handshake was firm and strong.
He likes that.
But before he could ask about the scars, he swallowed, then said a different sentence instead.
“Let me show you around the place. Are you hungry, by the way?”

Four months into space, where Captain Curly is working out in a room…
So far, things are alright in space. No complaints. No fights. No conflicts.
Everyone seems to know what they’re doing, and things are as smooth as paper.
Sweat slicked his hot skin, and his chest heaved, his lungs bellowed as he sucked in heavy breaths. Curly hasn’t gone that long and that hard in ages ever since he left his apartment, and it feels incredible. Sure, his legs are shaking and his arms feel like jelly, but he went three times as long as he usually does, squats after squats, and pull ups after pull ups.
It wasn’t until he felt a sudden, cold sensation on his neck that he suddenly felt his throat parched.
He turned around, and it’s– fuck– It’s you… holding out a bottle of water for him.
“Hi Captain...” You take a sip of your own bottled water, your long hair tied up neatly, with short strands falling in front of your face. “Here, have some water.”
Curly groaned, but it’s quickly replaced with a chuckle. He stared at you for a couple of seconds before smiling faintly, your name leaving his peach-hued lips. "What a surprise."
“Seriously, drink something.” You hold the bottled water out for him. “I notice that you’d often forget to bring it with you, you’ll feel better if you drink it.”
It’s been a while since he’s gone hard when it comes to exercising. Oh, he’s still in pretty good shape, sure, but his knees are weary and the wrong movements tweak his back every time.
Today, though? Today, he feels like he’s invincible. On top of the world.
“...Thanks, co-pilot.” Curly accepts the water, and he throws back a mouthful, soaking his parched throat. When he satiated his thirst, he traded water for a towel, scrubbing the sweat off his face.
Weary muscle protests the movement, but even that feels good. This is the pleasant kind of exhaustion that comes with hard work.
“Captain, I can’t help but notice that you have a bit of a British accent.”
And Captain Curly can’t help but notice how you’d often tread over to him like you’re on a rickety bridge that could snap any minute. Like a string in your head is pulling you forward, your arms don’t swing at your side.
“Ah, yeah, that happens often.” He pats the bench, gesturing for you to sit next to him. “Is it too strong? I’ve tried to make it as neutral as I can.”
“Oh nonononono–” You threw your hands out in protest. “It’s a bit strong, but I’m in no way complaining about it! You shouldn’t have to mask your accent for others…”
To him, you’ve always been that way to everyone else, including him. So accommodating. So pliant. So… Well, not that nervous.
He couldn’t help but let out a chuckle from your words.
“Don’t worry about it,” He beamed his usual bright smile at you. “As long as you can understand what I’m saying, it’s all good.”
“Well, I’ve gotten used to that accent already.” You replied, sitting next to him. “I find the accent quite funny and charming, to be honest.”
His eyebrows raised from your sentence. After all, he’d never thought that the words ‘funny’ and ‘charming’ would be used for Brits. “Why is that?”
“Well, for one,” You explain, a small smile forming at the corner of your rosy-hued lips. “You Brits can say anything and make it sound like an insult.”
You then stand up, and position yourself in front of him.
“You bloody fuckin’ tin-can!” Damn, you’ve already embraced the accent. “You… You absolute can of beans! Don’t just stand there gawping— come and help me carry this, rather than standing about like some stiff, ridiculous willy!”
“.....”
“.....”
“Pfffttttt–” Curly’s internally thankful that he already swallowed his gulp of water before your tirade of British insults. “Ahahahahahaha– What– What was that?! You were so… Oh god…”
Curly had to cover his mouth to stop himself from laughing, and he barks another wave of laughter from your face, blushing like cherry hues.
“Ahhhhh don’t laugh at me!!!” You smack his arm. “I was just showing an example!! Stop laughing! Fine, I’m leaving!”
“No, don’t–” Curly grabbed your hand, giving it a good squeeze as he wheezed. “Stay, it’s… it’s just… so spot on… You said… this is the first one… what’s…”
The moment his vision is cleared and he sees your frustrated puffed up cheeks, he immediately schooled himself, sitting up straight and letting out a cough of conclusion of his laughter.
“What was the second one?”
You narrowed your eyes at him for a minute, then continued what you’re about to say. “The second one is that you Brits can say the most tragic news yet make it sound so monotonous that I could just fall asleep.”
“...Huh?”
You cough, keeping your emotions in check before you proceed in the most British accent you could muster. “Forty-seven people were tragically killed in Downton when a bomb detonated in an act of terrorism.”
“Downton…” Curly’s lips thinned. Though he was trying to hide it, the corners of his mouth twitched upwards. “Why Downton of all places…”
“Thousands of people were left homeless when water roses in Florida–”
“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA–” Curly fell onto the ground, his hand holding onto his stomach. “Stop! Stop! I can’t breatheeeeeeeee–”
“Captain!” You ended up landing your butt on the floor too, wheezing out loud like the sound of windows being wiped. “Ahaha– Stop laughing! Your laugh is so contagious, it made me laugh! God, my face feels sore…”
As laughter finally simmers, he gazes at your face for a second, and you immediately look away from him, staring instead at his hands.
“Co-pilot,” He says. “You’re a really funny one. A good friend , I’d say.”
A tremor ran through him, one he tried hard to suppress. There is something alluring about being so close to you, to share more of the laughter and moments together.
Friend. Plenty of people assume a closer relationship with Curly than he actually allows, and he’s comfortable with that. Is comfortable letting people assume a close friend type of a relationship that doesn’t exist much– provided that they don’t cross several carefully curated lines.
Friend. Lots of people pass by and go, waving and smiling at him. They’d often ask him out, not just from inviting him to social events, but dates too.
Friend. He’d chucked what felt like the eighth glass of shots, while they’d egged him on further. Daring him, making him cross multiple lines, his eyes blurred as he felt more than a pair of hands pulling him away to drag him to… another event. His lips were open, but he couldn’t say anything.
Friend…
He gazed into your face. Compared to everyone else on the ship, aside from the nurse, you were the one that always checked up on him, making sure he’s okay. You were the one that always offered savory snacks and drinks for him. The one that made sure he wouldn’t drink more than two cups of coffee. The one that would always switch shifts with him at an earlier time so that he could get enough rest, even if his insomnia got in the way of it.
The one that would avert his comforting gaze, yet always reached a hand out for him before he even asked.
He… should've done everything in his power to promote distance between the two of you.
Instead, he says, “I’m glad you’re here. You’re competent and hardworking, co-pilot. More than competent, actually. I really value our working relationship deeply.”
“Right, our working relationship…” You drawled, your cheeks blossoming. Yet, you don’t notice how his gaze is only soft to you.

Chaos. The battlefield around them went still for what felt like a brief eternity as Kaido landed a final, lethal blow. A small figure (and god, he was so small next to that towering dragon) plummeted from the sky, still billowing steam in wreaths.
A dead weight, as though he was an anchor with its rope cut, sinking to the sea floor.
Zoro could hear someone, Nami, probably, screaming “LUFFY!”, but it was muffled and distant through his ringing ears, as though he had been plunged into the deep, crushing water, cold beneath the cruel waves.
His vision had completely narrowed down, tunnel vision reducing his sight to hyperfocus on the unconscious form as it plunged to its resting place.
Badum. Badum. Badum. Bad-.... Silence.
Zoro’s chest contracted, as he felt something snap with a sharp twang, sending a pang of blisteringly cold pain through him.
His eyes widened. Lurching forward, his feet tried to carry him to his captain. Catch him. Save him. Protect him. His knees buckled. Zoro landed heavily on his knees, arms hanging limp and useless at his sides.
He dully recognised the feeling of his swords, Sandai Kitetsu, and Enma slipping out of his shocked-lax hands, Wado Ichimonji falling from his slack jaw. Zoro didn’t hear the clink of metal on stone as they fell. He didn’t hear the cries of shock, sorrow, fear, and triumph sounding from all around him. He didn’t hear Nami’s silent, shaking sobs. He didn’t hear the cook’s gasp and disbelieving curse. He didn’t hear Robin’s quiet “Sencho!” He didn’t hear Ussop’s uncharacteristic quietness. He didn't notice anything. Nothing but the impact of Luffy’s body as it hit the ground. The crater it formed. The massive cloud of dust that rose from the force of his fall.
Zoro was so, so cold.
He felt frozen to the core, as though his very heart had stopped its perpetual chore, frozen solid by the sudden cold. Zoro felt as though he would never warm again. His Sun had been extinguished.
Zoro couldn't hear anything. His captain’s heart was still. The steady drumbeat of that rubbery muscle pumping freedom and laughter through Luffy’s body was conspicuously missing.
Silenced forever.
And in its wake, it left a vacuum, a gaping maw of silence that sucked every other sound into it. Without that ever-present pacer, Zoro was lost. How could he move? What was he to match his footfall to? How could he time the swing of his swords?
His body, it seemed, was not as useless as his heart or mind, and it reclaimed its grip on his swords, Wado clenched between locked jaws, as his arms swung up with Haki hardened blades to meet the heavy head of an axe with a resounding clang.
Like a flood, sound filled Zoro’s ears, his vision widening once again to encompass the barren rock plane they fought on. It was overwhelming. Even as his senses filled, his mind remained empty, incapable of comprehending the undeniable fact of Luffy’s death.
Thankfully, his muscle memory forced his body to fend off blow after blow, defeating enemies as they surged on the remaining Strawhats. It seemed they were spurned by the fall of the largest threat, Strawhat Luffy, and decided to take advantage of the horrified state of the crew.
Too bad. Zoro wasn’t losing anyone else to this fight. He would never be able to join his captain knowing he had left the others defenceless. His own fall would have to wait.
As Zoro mindlessly cut down the last enemy in his path, numb and detached, his ears twitched. He picked up a faint sound. Quiet, but quickly gaining a soaring volume. It was achingly familiar, yet foreign and wrong.
He dared not hope.
Bum. Bum. Bum. Bum. Bum.
The battlefield seemed to go still around Zoro, as though it was all narrowed down to that one pinprick of sound.

More wonders followed: a swarm of butterflies, a flock of birds, a parade of dancing flowers. In vain, Nancy looked around for a film projector. Then she gave up, ordered a sidecar, and enjoyed the rest of the show. Kali finished with a shower of light that rained down on her until it covered her body in shining golden scales. Then the lights went out. A split second later, they came on and she was gone.
