Gina calling her Marinetta because that was the name Marinette used the last time they saw each other. She'd immediately start calling her Marinette when she realizes that's her name

Anyways trans boy Nino Lahiffe is woefully unappreciated and that ends now

He picked his name to be hilarious because Nino literally means “boy” in Spanish

Like many transmasc eggs, he was drawn to Mulan and always watched it with Marinette when they were kids with the excuse that it was Marinette’s favourite Disney movie

Marinette was the first person he told about feeling like a boy. She didn’t really get it at that age but she wanted to make him feel good so she helped him get a whole bunch of boys’ clothes and cut his hair

She made his cap for him as her first hat project, which is why it’s so dear to him

Pity that Chloé really started on Marinette and bullied her into friendlessness
