Played the pokemon TCG with my dad last night before bed.

When I woke up this morning, he and the family were going through his collection of cards to sort them all out so he could make his own decks.

He also had a dream or two about playing the game. He couldn't remember the cards, but just the flow of the game.

Really funny/good way to wake up and spend the morning.

Hello hello hello!

I was waiting to upload because I wanted to make a tech change, and I needed the Home sprites for gen 9 for some of the upcoming cards I have planned. But I decided the tech one doesn't matter enough to wait, and I finally found a source for the gen 9 home sprites. I've missed making these; I'm glad to be back at it!

I'm making my return with the last trainer card I had planned before disappearing: Kiriko! I followed the story, but was never a fps player so I didn't try the game out until it became a f2p title. But *wow* it was so much fun. Kiriko was an instant favorite and is my fun pick in unranked play (hot take: her voice lines acrually rock). Here's her team:

Shiny Kantonian Ninetales is best quadrupedap fox mon (This is fox power)

Up next are her abilities and primary/secondary, starting with Chimecho for suzu (Hear the bell)

Primary and secondary are two-in-one! Kartana is sharp as her daggers, and swift as her ofuda.

Her second ability, swift step, might feel odd as Claydol—but I have a rationale for this. It can use teleport which is the closest move to swift step. It also resembles dogs figures, which have been speculated as vessels for cleansing diseases by transferring that energy in to the statue from the afflicted person. That felt in line with her kit and spiritual origins.

Fifth we have Cyclizar: because sometimes you get the urge to spam that One Voiceline (wait until you see me on my– wait until you see me on my– wait until you see me on my–)

We'll finish her team off with Dachsbun. It's a cute lil' baked dog and we can just imagine it in a sprinkle donut costume I guess.

Klance trainer cards!

Reasonings:

Latias and Latios represent what color they are as well as matches each other

Vaporeon and Flareon matches their elements and match each other

Shinx and Litleo both are their colors and little guys and fit their personalities (for who would be a good companion)

Quaxly is water, blue and has Lance's pomp, plus is from a hispanic region like Lance is

Noibat is purple and fluffy like Galra are! I personally think of Keith as a batcatwolfboy

Palafin has its hero form and is a Pokemon that represents loyalty and bravery like Lance does

Ceruledge represents the Blade of Marmora and how Keith is a knife boy, plus it's purple like his Galra side

Wingull is a more simplistic Pokemon! Besides Lance being water element, I did a water/beach theme to represent Varadero Beach, a place very important to Lance. I imagine he and his Wingull have known each other a long time

Poipole is to represent the fact that Keith is alien, plus it's purple like Galra. I imagine that he inhereted Poipole and hasn't been able to figure out what it is, much like the knife he inherited

I gave them Pokemon that aren't fully evolved because both of them are still young, and even though when you play the games, you're a child that gets super high level Pokemon, in canon, Pokemon tend to develop and level up slower along with their trainers in a more logical sense

I represented Lance with Blue and Keith with Red because that's their colors!

Pokemon Trainer Cards!

I was trying to do my own style of trainer card. I decided to go with the trading card shape. The card doesn't come with the srpites, but younger trainers can choose to put stickers on their pokemon on the circles.

I also didn't save the format the first time I made it. :,)

Making a custom pokemon card bc I don't like pokécharm's template and hoe limited it is. Here's a transparent template + a guide

This template allows for oc trainers, headcannon teams and of course, fakémon!
