I love it when you learn peculiar things about your favourite driver when you watch his races whole. For instance, I watched DTM Spa 2005 and I learned that Mika competed against Bernd Schneider in a diaper changing contest with baby dolls. 😂😂

and then there's max götz in DTM (who, in my opinion, looks like a very attractive accountant)
hey al! I noticed bianca was wearing her glasses in the helmet during practice
I've never seen it before maybe it's just because they tend to get laser eye surgery if they do have glasses (even tho charles also wears glasses outside of race weekends sometimes) or lenses so I was wondering if you know about any rules or regulations around glasses while racing??
Hello,
You are allowed to wear glasses under the helmet if you need them
There just haven’t been that many drivers who have needed them
Jacques Villeneuve wore glasses - he actually had a prescription visor at some point
Sebastien Bourdais also wore glasses
Nico Rosberg wore contact lenses - you can see how red his eyes are after certain races
Nico Hulkenberg had his eyes corrected like 10 years ago or something- but he wore glasses before then
Then Alexander Sims wore glasses under his helmet in FE
There’s no rules prohibiting it but I guess they’d have to be careful about material and shape of the glasses - all of the ones I’ve seen have been pretty thin lightweight frames, I would assume that contact lenses are probably more comfortable to wear inside a helmet than glasses

What a difference 38 years makes juxtaposition of BMW M3, 1985 & BMW M4, 2024. The new M4 has a 480hp twin turbo 3.0 litre straight 6, the original M3 was a homologation special to satisfy the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft and Group A Touring rules. It was powered by a 197hp DOHC 2.3 litre 4 cylinder engine.

Unrestored 1934 Mercedes-Benz 500 K Offener Tourenwagen,
The name Offener Tourenwagen, or “open touring car,” in Mercedes-Benz parlance often brings to mind the vast and weighty 770 Ks of the late 1930s. On their sibling supercharged 500 K chassis, however, it referred to something entirely different: a very attractive two-door open model, with a rather low, subtly curving beltline, that recalled the powerful Sports 4 style of earlier K and S-type models. It was a very sporting automobile and one of the most masterful creations of the factory coachbuilders at Sindelfingen, who finished each body with the superb craftsmanship and quality materials for which they were renowned.
Chassis 105355, is one of only five surviving examples of this style on the 500 K chassis. According to its original Mercedes-Benz kommission sheet, a copy of which is on file, this car was originally delivered in late 1934 to Rudolf Hess of Berlin, one of the highest ranking members of the ruling National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Hess famously flew solo to Scotland in 1941 in a failed attempt to get the UK to exit the war. Instead, he was taken prisoner and convicted. To the victors, however, go the spoils: The 500 K was eventually commandeered at the end of WWII, and like so many of its brethren, wound up being used by American GI’s in Germany, then afterward came to the US.
As early as 1955, the car was in the ownership of V. Link Milsark of Vienna, West Virginia; a copy of a West Virginia title in his name, dated that year, is on file. Known to friends as “The Mayor of Rose Holler,” Mr. Milsark was an auto mechanic, aviator, model train collector, and a genuine character in every sense of the word. He is not known to have shown the 500 K in his decades of ownership but was nonetheless an enthusiastic owner, maintaining membership in and listing the car with the Classic Car Club of America for decades.
Mark Smith acquired the long-hidden Milsark 500 K in 2005 through what can only be described as one of his characteristic transactions, involving multiple cars and parties. He was undoubtedly pleased with the acquisition, which remained one of the great centerpieces of his collection ever after.
Retaining its original, numbers-matching chassis and engine per factory records, as well as the original typenschild on the firewall, the car remains startlingly original, never restored, and “improved” only as necessary over the years. Mr. Smith kept it much as he acquired it, with sensitivity towards preserving the condition in which it had been left by its long-term prior owner. At some point the bottoms of the front seats were replaced and covers were fit over the seat backs; the balance of the interior, including the door cards and rear seat, is that fitted at Sindelfingen in 1934. A 1955–1956 West Virginia DMV inspection sticker is even still intact on the windshield.
Mr. Smith exhibited his 500 K in the Prewar Preservation class at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® in 2006, and at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in 2019, where it received an Amelia Award in the exclusive 500 K/540 K class. Due to its high degree of originality and fascinating history, it ought to be a welcome entrant into many other concours, recognizing what its longtime owners saw in it: a very special automobile, made only more so by its passage through time.

Title: For his DREAM
As one great and late U.S. activist (for social rights) Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 🇺🇸 👨🏽🦱 (we loved/respect you, by the way, 😊) said: "I have a dream". 😌💭 His famous quote of speech excels and inspires everyone who has dreams to succeed, both in real life and fictional life.
• And the latter was such the case with Spot Speedster 🐶🏎️ (and his twin sister, Riya 🐰🏎️) who wanted to become a great motorsport racer, whether he was hired by a racing team of Le Mans (🇫🇷🏎️), Formula 1 (🇬🇧🏎️), Stock Car (a.k.a. NASCAR 🇺🇸🚘), or any famous motorsport events such as Super GT ( 🇯🇵🚘), Supercar Championship (formerly named "V8 Supercar" 🇦🇺🚘), or DTM ("Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters" / "German Touring Car Masters" 🇩🇪🚘). Or heck maybe he could be signed to the D1 Grand Prix (A Grand Prix for drift cars 🇯🇵🚘), or a simple drag racing tournament (🚦🏎️🛣️).
Spot 🐶🏎️: Heck yeah! Whatever I picked, someday I'll always BE ON TOP! And that is MY DREAM! And my sister, Ri can do it, too!😁🥇🏆
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before their Speedster twins' parents revealed, I made a silhouette of Spot's future father looks like, that resembles to Spot's future adult appearance. 🙂 As for Bonn 🐰🚹, he's still classified as a "Dad" and "Master" to their twins (Spot and Riya). 😉

Deutschribing Germany
Sports
Germany ranks fourth in the Olympic Games medal count, having won 922 medals in both Summer and Winter Olympic Games since 1896. The country has hosted international sports events such as the 1936 and 1972 Summer Olympic Games in Berlin and Munich, the 1936 Winter Olympic Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the 1974 and 2006 FIFA World Cup. It will host the UEFA Euro 2024.
Soccer
Soccer is the most popular sport in Germany. The Bundesliga (“federal league”) is the top professional soccer league. Clubs such as FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, RB Leipzig, SV Werder Bremen, and VfB Stuttgart take part in it. The most successful team is Bayern Munich, having won thirty-two Bundesliga titles.
The German men’s national soccer team won the Olympic Games in 1976, the World Cup in 1954, 1974, 1990, and 2014 and the UEFA Euro in 1972, 1980, and 1996. The women’s national team is also a world power, having won the Olympic Games in 2016, the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2003 and 2007 and the UEFA Women’s Euro in 1989, 1995, and 2001, making Germany the only country to have won both the men’s and women’s World Cup and European titles.
Handball
Germany, together with Denmark, is regarded as the birthplace of handball, as the first match took place in Berlin. The men’s national team has won the Olympic Games once, the IHF Wold Men’s Handball Championship three times, and the EHF Euro twice. The most successful team in the Handball-Bundesliga is THW Kiel.
Basketball
The most successful clubs in the Basketball-Bundesliga are Alba Berlin, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Brose Bamberg, and USC Heidelberg. Notable German basketball players include Dirk Nowitzki, Elias Harris, Linda Frölich, Shawn Bradley, and Tim Ohlbrecht.

Motorsports
Germany is one of the leading motorsports countries, having manufactured countless race winning cars. Notable Formula One champions include Michael Schumacher, Nico Rosberg, and Sebastian Vettel.
The country hosts the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, a sports car racing series based in Germany, with rounds in other European countries. Since 1995, only German car brands are allowed to compete.
Winter sports
Germany is also very successful in winter sports, being the only country in the world to have four bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton tracks. It has won more medals in bobsledding than any other country in the world, if those won by East and West Germany are included.
The country also dominates biathlon, luge, and skeleton thanks to athletes such as Sven Fischer and Uschi Disl in biathlon, Felix Loch and Natalie Geiseberger in luge, and Anja Huber and Kerstin Jürgens in skeleton.
Notable skiers include Tobias Angerer in cross-country skiing, Martin Schmitt in ski jumping, Eric Frenzel in Nordic combined, and Katja Seizinger in alpine skiing. Claudia Pechstein is renowned in speed skating and Katarina Witt in figure skating.
