Meeting Torri for the first time? Ask G'raha, waking up in the Crystal Tower in the future and being told that the heavy drinking, sleeps-with-anyone-takes-nothing-serious-ever-Miqo'te, who waltzed their way through the Crystal Tower raids and generally came across as an idiot, was the Warrior of Light. It took him a very very long time to believe that. In fairness, Torri really isn't that smart. They have an axe. They hit things with it. End of story.

G'raha was so, so disappointed.

Side note: G'raha was 100% certain the WoL would end up being Torri's little brother, Kaelen, who was intelligent, soft-spoken, and quite easy for G'raha to get along with.

I need to do some more gposes for them because they are adorable. Tiny kitten scholars. Don't worry Lyna, Kael makes sure Grandpa drinks his supplements and takes proper rest. G'raha does not have a choice.

anyway I don't like zero or torrian but literally imagine if you were an animator who never wrote anything other than the occasional quip and they gave you a whole ass show foundation show with a budget and constantly told you no about everything you wanted to do and also didn't help you at all and also you had to do it in 5 months and also the pandemic is happening. I think I'd contain so much fury in my body i'd explode. everyone knows zero was bad but it wasn't personally his fault. he should have never been given that hefty of a task that he was unqualified for WITH THE COMPANY'S FOUNDING SHOW and RT is so much more to blame for Zero than Torrian. the people who can find joy in that corporate shitshow are stronger than anyone who harassed Torrian over it. this isn't like something i've been festering about I just happened to talk about it earlier and it was the first thing that came to mind.

I'm a little hater so I don't really get annoyed that much at any complaints other than maybe grimmons queerbaiting but that's like, a legitimate problem that's been going on for 20 years and is like. an intentional thing they do. just because i'm over it doesn't mean it's not something worth complaining about yknow? also did you notice they made a canon queer couple in their most popular show just a few weeks after they had a controversy about their treatment of queer employees? I did :)

Couple Torrian and Revien, who are longtime friends of Hemlocke, invite him on a trip to Radz At Han. Torri claims to know of a delicious spot for cuisine, but they get lost along the way. Tired and hungry, they end up at the Meyhane to rest. It appears Torri had brought a map of Tural, looking for tacos..

So it's probably obvious, but "Torrian" is not a traditional Seeker name. And it's not a traditional Lalafell name either (they were raised by lalas). That's because they were named by a Hyur merchant who adopted them when their mother could not take care of them. The same is true for their siblings, Kaelen and Vita. They were about 4 when they left the merchant's care and came into the care of Mum, who just kept their name cause that's all they remembered of their past. Mum found them on the beach on Bloodshore, where Torri was defending his sister and baby brother from a giant crab. With a stick.

WIP Intro: SOTAL

Hi hello this is my main WIP and book 1 is out and I'm !!!!!!

Series title: Stories of the Ancient Lands (SOTAL) Genre: Epic fantasy/romance Themes: Justice (and prejudice), power & leadership, morality, self-identity, friendship & love

Blurb for book 1: War rages across the elven kingdom of Kies Tor. In the capital, the exiled crown prince has returned, seeking to usurp the throne. Midst the bloodshed and chaos, Talin Zylvaris II must take her place as queen and lead the kingdom to safety. It’s a heavy weight for the youngest Torrian ruler in a thousand years.

There is, however, a glimmer of hope in an unlikely alliance to the west. Against her council’s advice, Talin rides out with her mysterious royal bodyguard to seize it, oblivious to the dangers stirring at home. Caught between a court conspiracy and advancing Hellhounds to the north, Talin has only one chance to save her people. If it is not already too late.

About the main squad: Talin: Queen of an entire kingdom, inherited a war, trying her hardest not to screw up and also keep her people alive while everyone at court plots things behind her back. Probably needs to be fished out from the increasingly large pile of other people's bullshit.

Red Wolf: Lord Commander of the Royal Guard. Not a Werewolf™️ and definitely not a simp for the queen, not at all. Prone to getting stabbed or slashed by various sharp and pointy things - it's an occupational hazard.

Ettrias: Talin's twin brother, crown prince of Kies Tor, also very much exiled for murder. May or may not be plotting to assassinate the queen. People tend to forget he's highly competent with a sword and attempt to kill him for some reason.

Captain Golmin: Army vet who became head of the royal guard because it pays to be best friends with the Lord Commander. Really just tired of everyone's shit. Always ends up caught in the middle of a court conspiracy or another, possibly because he's dating the crown prince.

Ashera: A 12yo child who wound up as the Lord Commander's squire because the guy felt guilty about failing to save her hometown and subsequently promised her mother that he'd look after her. Looks like a cinnamon roll, can and will commit crimes.

Book 1 excerpt to finish off: Talin tried a different tactic. “Why did you allow the assassin to scale the walls?”

“We needed a man for questioning.” Red Wolf took the torch from her at the bottom of the steps and led the way onwards, past endless rows of black-barred cells. She could see some were occupied, though none dared come close to them in Red Wolf’s towering presence. A straggly youth with rags for clothes spat on the ground when they passed. Her bodyguard slammed the bars with a gauntleted hand, and he jumped back, eyes wide.

“You and Captain Golmin set this up?” Talin asked.

“The plan was my idea. Captain Golmin only helped because he had an obligation to his lord commander,” Red Wolf explained. “We organised a new night shift that left blind spots on the walls and allowed the assassin to observe the pattern. We also leaked false information that I would not be guarding you at night. I had been asking you if you required me to guard your chambers only because I did not want to go against your word, but you refused each time. We were running out of opportunities.”

“You mean to say that I was bait,” Talin said.

“Not the word I would use, but in a way, yes,” Red Wolf confessed.

“Why?”

“You have been on the throne for less than a year. If someone wants you dead this quickly, something is amiss. I’d like to find out what.”

Did Wash get a new voice actor? Why does he sound so off.

Why is Grif like this. Why is Grif's character so off. He's not really stupid, he plays it up to be lazy. Why does he seem so weirdly angry. Yelling did not make the "they're right behind me aren't they" joke any funnier Geoff.

Okay I didn't even CONSIDER that Donut would never show up. Like after the Apple Cast listing was seemingly incomplete based on already confirmed people that had recorded lines. Only to have the shot of Donut getting sliced up in a cartoon be his first and God forbid only appearance? The disrespect. If he doesn't show up later I'm rioting. Did I miss a Joel-style falling out with Donut's voice actor somewhere.

Okay actually Wash sounds fine it was just the awkward exposition dialogue earlier I guess.

A SECOND "hes right behind me" style quip with Meta!Tucker in the case. Burnie PLEASE. Avengers came out in like 2014.

Why does Tucker!Meta talk. Why does he have an evil laugh. Remember when all the Meta did was occasionally growl and he was threatening. Remember when all they had to do was play When Your Middle Name is Danger and it would make the machinima actually tense.

The Reds overall reluctance to help the Blues both earlier in the canyon when Caboose asked them and then now leaving Caboose on the ship... I don't know. It rings a little different when its the last season and all also the whole "they say no but then they change their minds" bit has been done so many times by now. Especially if this is meant to be happening after Chorus. This isn't really a lesson they need to be learning anymore.

Over 40mins minutes in and no mention of Carolina. I am... concerned. I thought she was in a shot in the trailer. Am I crazy. If she doesn't show up I just. In what WORLD does Epsilon run five squintilion simulations and not choose to contact HER instead.

Very touching moments happening here with Sarge and the team I cannot complain too much or really at except when in one of my numerous pauses of the movie to fortify myself I cannot help but clasp my hands and think. Where's Donut.

And also I cannot help but think when we were about to get on Torrian for trying to kill Tucker and now its like. Welp. (Not nearly as bad as a killing to gas up your bad rvb spinoff but still. It kinda feels like this is approaching that ballpark.)

And since I made my previous ask moer battles have been announced. So let’s go through them.

Mahito vs. Shigaraki: Oh look it’s the better Tsumugi. Joking aside I’m seeing a LOT of people rooting for Shigaraki as I’m not familiar with JJK but it seems everyone hates Mahito so they want him to die painfully.

Ash vs. Yuki: Now THIS I can comment on. The two children anime protagonists that made people’s childhoods are facing off in episode 200. And both got fucked by 4Kids. We all know Ash and what he has done and I’ve watched a few Yu-Gi-Oh episodes back in the day. Outcome wise I think Yugi takes this as while Ash has gone up against Legendary Pokemon and survived petrification, Yugi has endured a lot more shit, plus his monsters are stronger than Ash’s Pokemon. Charizard ain’t gonna do shit against Exodus.

Simon the Digger Vs. White Lantern: This will be the most anime and hammy battle we will have in a very long time. As we got the guy who is main inspiration behind Kaito against the Lanterns who are too heroic to die. I’m not familiar with TTGL but I know how busted DC stuff is, so the White Lantern probably takes this.

We also have a animated fight by Luis, a 3D fight by Torrian and a Live action if all goes well, so again thoughts?

//I'm not quite sure about the connections between Shigaraki and Mahito other than the fact that they look similar, and both can be associated with hands, so I'm not sure what to say about that fight, nor do I have a stake in it. I will lean more towards rooting for Shigaraki though since I'm more of a fan of My Hero than I am JJK.

//Ash VS Yugi, despite me not being into Yu Gi Oh, makes a lot of sense as a legacy matchup, and I have high hopes for it. I have a friend who's really into Yu Gi Oh, so maybe we can throw a stake in this one. As for who wins, assuming the rules of their monsters are equalized, I'm gonna assume that they'll be using their primary/strongest team members. So for Ash, that would be the likes of Pikachu, Charizard, Greninja, Lucario; potentially Sceptile. For Yugi, that'd be Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor, and Winged Dragon of Ra. Now again, I don't know much about Yu Gi Oh's rules and terminology, BUT from what I can tell, Yugi's monsters, particularly the Egyptian God Cards, seem to have greater raw power and more unique, versatile abilities compared to Ash's Pokemon. Therefore, I think Yugi takes it assuming all the technicalities and differences are pushed aside.

//Now, I haven't watched Guran Lagaan for a long time, and I don't know much about Kyle Rayner, but seeing how hyped up this fight is, I also had it on my top 20 matchups somewhere, I don't know where. I'm mainly rooting for Simon, but knowing the absolute insane power of the Green/White Lanterns, I think Kyle has far more raw power and versatility with his ring.

//As for everything else, I'm just gonna sit back and let things play out as they will. Again, this show is absolutely going places. It's audience, while not entirely wholesome, is committed, and as long as they have the team's back, Death Battle will go on for basically as long as it's audience wants it.
