a couple of dentist visits ago i was sitting in the chair for a few hours and i was in pain and not having fun but this was when i had just started obsessing over marvey so to cope i came up with a fic idea while i was there...
ive been having tooth pain again but i hate going so to cope again all ive been thinking about is this marvey fic idea again where hurt!mike has to go to the dentist so im gonna force yall to hear about it too
the gist is that yes even though mike is an adult, he hasn't been to the dentist in a hot second (ie since high school) bc he just didn't have enough money for it to be a priority
anyways he starts dealing with some general issues: toothache, headaches, sensitivity, disrupted sleep, etc. that just gets bad enough to the point where it's obvious that something is wrong
harvey can tell he's not functioning at full capacity: is avoiding certain foods, looks like he's in pain sometimes, and just generally seems more irritable as of late
eventually it reaches it's breaking point and harvey confronts mike and has to force him to go to the dentist cuz he's fed up (also cuz he cares about mike obvi but he's not gonna say that)
mike has general dentist anxiety (he hasn't been in a while and he's also definitely worried about the copay even tho i imagine this law firm provides dental insurance lol) but harvey’s nice enough to be there for him
anyways after finally going and figuring out the issue, mike's set up for a procedure (tooth extraction? root canal? idk yet), and after said procedure harvey has to deal with gassed up mike who's either woken up from the sedative or just heavily anesthetized
basically just harvey taking care of mike from then on, giving meds and comfort when the pain becomes too much after the anesthesia wears off. i just want harvey to be all soft and sweet with equally soft and loopy mike
i have hopes to write this at some point (my depression is kicking my ass rn) but anyone else is welcome to take inspiration from this! i encourage it cuz i'd love to see what other people come up with! <3

I wonder if it's possible to get a tooth extraction and tooth filled in one day at the dentist that my family found cuz honestly... it's two teeth aching, one was such an agony and now the Other One is being a pain and I want Both of it DEALT WITH IN ONE DAY

The reason I forgot to do my homework is because I had a haircut today.
Sounds ridiculous, but bear with me.
See, I haven't had my hair cut since 2022. When I was still living in the UK.
The main issue that kept me putting it off was cost. I haven't been able to work much while I've been in school. But also. You know. The Ordeal of Having To Do A Thing in the foreign language for the first time.
So my appointment was in the early afternoon and for the first half of the day, my mental state was something like this:
Me: Okay, haircut in a few hours. Hair is washed and dry, plenty of time.
Brain: What's that? We have to talk to people in Norwegian outside of school?
Me: Yeah. It's no big deal.
Brain: We have to get up on stage in front of millions, you say?
Me: It's just a hair cut.
Brain: Fate of the world you say?
Me: I SAID A HAIRCUT.
Brain: No, no, no, we can't manage that with our Norwegian.
Me: We are B1, you ridiculous fool, and even if we weren't, they'll speak English. Even if they don't, we can use a translator. We've been to the DENTIST -TWICE- with A2 Norwegian, what is your problem?!
Brain: NEW EXPERIENCE BAD!!!
So by the time the PERFECTLY NORMAL HAIRCUT during which I chatted almost entirely in Norwegian (used one phrase I absolutely didn't know, accidentally said lykkelig when I meant heldigvis, clarified both words in English, laughed about it) was over, I was totally exhausted from arguing with my stupid anxiety and just. Fell to bits a little on the couch for the rest of the day.
Did not forget about the rest of my to-do list, but ferociously ignored it, forgetting I had that one 'do it by midnight' thing on there.

it’s finally getting cold enough that i can bring my cardigan collection back into rotation without feeling like i’m gonna melt into a puddle the second i step outside!!!
#Seven.txt#my face#i have rematerialized back out of the void to once again make my once-in-a-blue-moon selfie & life update post#i’m running on 4 hours of restless sleep and the single banana i ate for lunch earlier today. let’s do this#hrrrrg i hate the lighting in my bathroom but i refuse to take pictures in the absolute Mental Illness Disaster Zone™️ that is my bedroom#anyways. got diagnosed with Mystery Pain Syndrome at the dentist today. so now i take ✨steroids✨#the less funny explanation is that my tooth still hurts with pressure nearly a month post-root canal and That’s Not Good#so we’re trying some new medications to see if that fixes it. and if not then who knows. root canal pt.2 the sequel. or extraction. sigh#and so the Dental Saga continues. todays visit went quite well in spite of the unforeseen mystery pain delaying the tooth-shaving plans#we had some time to kill so he managed to fill some of my other tiny cavities while i was there today so that’s good#okay moving on. what else. uhh. OH they finally came out and ran the fiber to the house last week!!! now i’m just waiting on one more-#-guy to come and finish the interior install and the long awaited fast internet will finally be mine eheheheheeeee#now i can feel my hours upon hours of unedited gameplay footage breathing down my neck :)#man i’ve got so much stuff piled up right now. i’m drowning in Tasks and it’s a lil overwhelming but i’ll handle it all! eventually#uhhhhm my current writing project is coming along well! i’ve never put so much time and effort into a oneshot before in my life#its a labor of love though and i think i’m gonna be really proud of myself (and the fic) once it’s complete#even if no one reads it bc it’s so goddamn self indulgent and kinda lowkey throws canon out the window but like. fuck it!#if i want Astarion to write a song on piano and perform it for me while mentally taking me on a trip down memory lane. then so be it#fr though i’ve never written anything quite like this and i rlly want to do it justice. even if its unrealistic i still want it to be Good#in other news i received word that one of the chickens i sponsor at my local Gentle Barn has passed away so i had a lil cry abt that#i feel so bad for his little tiny chicken wife. they obviously loved each other and it’s like. so sad when one half of an old couple dies#like. she pulled him out of his depression after his 1st wife died. now who’s gonna be there to pull Her out…#anyways let’s not get all sad about that again. in happier news my cat who i presumed died/got killed has returned home uninjured!!!#after that huge stray dog chased her into the woods i thought we’d never find or see her again#but then the morning after i started grieving her she showed back up hungry as hell yet completely unharmed like the enigma that she is#so that’s one definite highlight from earlier this month. uhh what else. rapid fire summary of the past few weeks let’s go-#Jersey turned 10! Bullet turned 10! my 6 year Veganniversary happened! i’m approaching 700 days on DuoLingo!#i’ve written more than 20 thousand words! i’ve been facing some fears! fighting my OCD! taking care of myself! (kinda!)#anyways things are far from being all sunshine and roses around here but i’m trying to focus on the good stuff for the most part#for now tho i have a headache and have reached 30 tags so it’s time to go shovel some mashed potatoes into my mouth :)

#i fucking have a gum abscess and a hurty tooth and they rescheduled my tooth extraction appointment because of said abscess#they gave me antibiotics to take for a week#i know having an oral infection could kill me#and i'm literally guilt tripped by my mom about losing teeth#while grandma shames me for shitty oral hygiene#but the toothpastes available are either too fucking minty... brain is scared it might be too minty... or toothpaste for kids#i wouldn't mind using kids' toothpaste if I WOULDN'T GET FUCKING SHAMED FOR IT#and the last time I was actively brushing my teeth was when Sensodyne original flavor was still A Thing#that's the only Grown Up toothpaste that isn't minty but i'm scared to try other Sensodyne flavors because#aforementioned fear of overwhelming mintiness#and I already lost two molars with one being DIY extraction#and the other holes are either dentist just drilling holes and leaving them unfilled or the temporary filling fell out#and yes... decay#but fucking PLEASE give me the option to have affordable Not Minty toothpaste

had a dental appointment scheduled today, but they didn’t have me in the system, so my appointment for (my last) three fillings magically disappeared, and my root canal/possible extraction + crown is now out of pocket and it’s gonna be roughly 2k. and then im still three fillings short.

I feel like I'm gonna end up losing some weight until the wound heals enough for me to be able to start chewing on my left again cuz while checking on the wound, I noticed the tiny lil hole on my bottom right wisdom tooth grew a bit which is... Nnnooooo... Don't. Stop that right now. You AREN'T allowed to get any bigger than that. It'd take at least a year before a possible free service to pop up again, we need to get through 2025 you lil shit, stop it!
