Blood Brothers.(part 3)
(Sundrop and Moondrop walk up to The Bloodmoon Elite's mansion).
Sundrop: Are you sure you wanna do this?
Moondrop: Yes, I'm definitely sure that I want to trick these vampires, because if we trick vampires as infamous as The Bloodmoon Elite, it will go down in history.
Sundrop: Okay, if you're sure...
(The two enter the mansion).
Moondrop: Here's the plan, you look around to find the easiest escape and come find me, then we'll look for the vampires and do our final trick.
Sundrop: Alright.
(Sundrop leaves the entrance and starts looking around for escape routes).
Sundrop: Man, this place is huge, I wonder how many vampires live here.
Willy: There are twenty-eight vampires living here, and there will soon be thirty...
Sundrop: Well, there will actually be zero, now that this mansion has a bit of (turns around) sunlight!
Willy: Ha ha ha ha, nice try, Sundrop, but unlike those other vampires you and Moondrop have been tricking for nearly three years, we vampires of The Bloodmoon Elite aren't stupid.
Sundrop: (scared) How do you know our names?...
(Lisa enters the scene).
Lisa: Because we've been watching you two play the same old prank on countless other vampires.
(Sundrop jumps in surprise).
Lisa: And we're tired of you two playing that joke.
Sundrop: I understand, I'll just tell Moondrop that you vampires don't like us tricking you and we can just forget about all of this.
(Sundrop tries to leave, but his path is immediately blocked by the other vampires).
Sundrop: Oh, God!
Toki:(fake flirt) Oh no, we have something else in mind, sweetheart...
Tito:(fake flirt) How would you like becoming a vampire, niño bonito?
(Tito seductively strokes Sundrop's chin while Toki hugs Sundrop's left arm).
Sundrop in thought: (bisexual panic) Oh fuck, they're both so hot!
Sundrop: (bisexual panic) Well- I d-d-don't know, maybe I um, um um,(snaps out of it) Wait I can't just become a vampire, I'll end up watching Moondrop grew old and eventually die!
Willy: Oh, don't worry, Sundrop.
(Tito and Toki hold Sundrop in place)
Willy: Moondrop will join us very soon...
Sundrop: No, let me go, I don't want to become a vampire!
Willy: Too bad, you don't have a choice...
(Willy walks up to Sundrop and bites his neck before he could scream for help, it was painful at first, but the chemicals released from Willy's fangs turned the pain into pleasure, once Willy had his fill, he licks Sundrop's bite mark as he fell asleep).
Willy: That's Sundrop bitten now let's go convert Moondrop.
Lilac: Sir, may I do the honour, please?
Willy: Sure thing, Lilac.
Lilac: Thank you, sir.
Willy: You're welcome, Lilac.

Memo for Episode 20 (Ep.44) “Stronghold”
It contains major spoilers, so if you haven't seen the anime yet, don't read on.
Maomao (Shisui’no shotai’wa, Roran-hi datta. Tonda yakusha… iya, marude tanuki’no-yoda. Yon-fujin’ni Tokubetsu-jugyo’o shita-toki, hade-na yoso’oi’de, mu-hyojo-na-mama jugyo’o kiite-ita. Kotaigo-sama’kara kakure-tari, dai-yokujo’de Rīshu-hi’ni chikazuka-nakatta-no’mo, jibun’ga Roran-hi-dato bare-nai-yoni suru-tame-daro. Watashi’kara kakure-nakatta-nowa, Maomao’o tsukamaeta-toki’ni Roran-hi-to kizuka-nakatta-kara… Usu-usu kanjite’wa ita-ga… Mushi-zuki’de, chotto kawatte-ite, uwasa-banashi’ni hana’o sakaseru futsu’no ko. Migoto, Shisui’ni baka-sareate-ita-to-iu wake-ka…)
Maomao (Shisui’s true identity was Concubine Loulan. What an actress. Or maybe she’s more like a tanuki. When I gave that lecture to the four concubines, she had that flashy outfit and listened expressionlessly. She hid from the empress dowager and avoided Concubine Lishu at the baths so that she wouldn’t be recognized as Concubine Loulan. She didn’t hide from me, since I didn’t recognize her as Concubine Loulan when we caught Maomao the cat. I was starting to get the hint, but… An insect-loving, quirky, gossipy, but ordinary girl. Shisui played us all.)
とんだ(Tonda): unexpected, what a 〇〇!
(Ton-demo-nai): unbelievable, outrageous
とんだ and とんでもない are similar but とんでもない contains a condemnation of something bad when you use it about others. (When you use とんでもない about yourself, it means humility. For example, someone say “You’re so beautiful!” and you answer “とんでもないです” that means “Not at all!”)
役者(やくしゃ/Yaku-sha): actor = 俳優(はいゆう/Haiyu) 役者 and 俳優 can be used regardless of gender.
Joyu): actress (used for women only)
Baka-sareru): be bewitched by, be tricked by
Bakasu): bewitch, trick
Bakeru): appear in disguise, transform
In Japanese folk tales, raccoon dogs(tanuki) and foxes often trick humans by transforming into beautiful women or someone who looks like a real human. In KNH Lakan and Lahan are often described as foxes and Shishou as a tanuki because of their appearances and cunningness. In Japan, when describing people as animals, a cunning-looking person is compared to a fox, and a seemingly good person who deceives others is compared to a tanuki.
Finally, the true identity of Shisui was revealed to be Concubine Loulan. When I first read the original novel, I didn’t expect that at all and I was so surprised! Even knowing that, I was surprised that Loulan’s voice and the way she spoke sounded completely different from Shisui’s.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Maomao “Roran’wa, sono namae’o ki’ni-itte-iru-yo-desu-ne. Gejo-to-shite gimei’o tsukau-nara, motto chigau na’o erabeba yokatta-noni.”
Maomao “Loulan seems to like that name. She could have chosen any other name as her servant pseudonym.”
Gimei): pseudonym
Suirei “So-iu ko nan-da.”
Suirei “It’s just how she is.”
The translation is perfect. I think this is an example of the translation that cannot be made by simply substituting words.
Maomao (Onaji otoko’no musume-to-shite umareta-noni, haha’ga chigau-dakede, ippo’wa choyo-hanayo-to sodate-rare, mikado’no hana-to-shite kenjo-sareru. Soshite mo-ippo’wa, kanjo-to-shite kokyu’ni okuri-komare, an’yaku-suru. Chu-shi’deno Jinshi-sama ansatsu-misui-jiken’ni, Suirei’wa kakawatte-ita. Tada’no kan’dewa nai. Iya, kangan-de-sura nakatta.)
Maomao (Even though they were born from the same father, just because their mothers were different, one gets treated as a treasured princess to be given to the emperor. The other is sent in as a court lady to scheme in the shadows of the rear palace. Suirei was part of the attempt to assassinate Master Jinshi at that ceremony. She used the explosion at the warehouse as cover to steal some ceremonial tools, and when she was caught, she escaped, feigning death. And Shishou must have been the mastermind behind the feifa attack the other day. Master Jinshi, the manager of the rear palace, was trying to make changes. It wasn’t in line with what Shishou was doing. Is that all, though? Shisui… I mean, Loulan said this hair stick was valuable. He isn’t just some official. Rather, he wasn’t even a eunuch.)
Cho-yo hana-yo-to sodate-rareru): be brought up like a princess
Kenjo-suru): to present something to someone noble/of the upper classes
Kuro-maku): mastermind
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Suirei “Shokuji’wa motte-kuru. Kure-gure-mo, Shenmei-sama’no gokigen’o sokone-nai-yoni.”
Suirei “Food will be brought to you. Just make sure you don’t anger Lady Shenmei.”
(Kure-gure-mo): (When asking someone to do something important, to call someone’s attention) Make sure to~, Be careful to~, I repeatedly ask you to~
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Maomao (Sato’kara koko’ni tsurete-korareru-toki, issho-ni iku-to itta Kyo-u’ni, Suirei’wa shibui kao’o shita.
Honto’wa sato’ni todomete-oki-takatta-no-kamo shire-nai. Moshi, Shi’no ichi-zoku’ga muhon’o okoshita-to-nareba, ichi-zoku-roto, sono tsumi’o owa-sareru-daro. Sore’wa, onna, kodomo-demo, akago-demo. Kodomo-tachi’wa shitte-iru-no-daro-ka. Otona-tachi’wa, oshieta-no-daro-ka.)
Maomao (When I was brought here from the village, Kyou-u insisted he’d come too, but Suirei seemed reluctant. Perhaps she wanted to keep him at the village. If the Shi clan rebels, the punishment will extend to the entire clan. No one will be spared. Not even women, children, or babies. Do the children know? Did the adults tell them?)
Ichi-zoku-roto): one’s whole clan, one’s family and followers
Generally speaking, when the word “一族郎党” is used, it is often followed by ominous words like “皆殺し(みなごろし/Mina-goroshi): kill them all” or “根絶やし(ねだやし/Ne-dayashi): exterminate them.”
Maomao “Hito-goto-dato wari-kitte-shimaeba ii-noni…”
Maomao “I should just write this off as someone else’s problem….”
Hito-goto): somebody else’s business/problem, another person’s affairs
割り切る(わりきる/Wari-kiru): divide, separate – In this line, like “If only I could think of this as someone else’s problem and I could separate it from myself…” = It’s so painful for me that I can’t just accept it as something that doesn’t concern me.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Roran (Haha’ga chichi’ni ikido’otte-iru. Koko’wa issho-ni okoru-tokoro.)
Loulan (Mother is angry at father. This is where I get angry with her.)
I think this translation should have been “Mother is angry at father. This is where I get angry with him/father, together/along with her/mother. I guess they translated “一緒に(いっしょに/Issho-ni)” into “with her”, which could cause the viewers’ misunderstanding for “angry with/at her.”
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Jinshi “Gunshi-dono’no iitai-koto’wa wakari-masu. Watashi’no fugai-nasa’ga mondai-nano-desho.”
Jinshi “Master Strategist, I know what you’re trying to say. You’re dissatisfied with my shiftless cowardice.”
Fugai-nasa): being pathetic/inefficient/useless (noun)
Fugai-nai): pathetic, inefficient, useless (adjective)
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Jinshi (Gunshi-dono’no, musume-kawaisa’o omoeba, kuru-noga oso-katta-kurai-da. Nuke-ana’no koto. Kieta kangan’no koto. Shisui-to-iu sonzai-shinai gejo’no koto. Subete gote’ni mawari, kekka-teki’ni Maomao’ga sarawareta. Ore’no sekinin-da.)
Jinshi (Given how much he dotes on his daughter, it’s actually surprising he took so long to show up. The secret escape route, the missing eunuch, the non-existent servant girl named Shisui… We were one step behind in every instance, resulting the kidnapping of Maomao. I’m responsible for this.)
Sen-te’o utsu): take the initiative in, make a pre-emptive moves to
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Jinshi (Gunshi-dono’wa omitooshi-nanoda. Honrai’no jibun’no tachiba’ni jishin’o motsu-koto’ga deki-zu, soko-kara nige-dashite, kono chii’ni agura’o kaite-iru-to.)
Jinshi (He knows everything. He knows I lack the confidence to assume my rightful position. He knows how I ran away from it to spend my time here instead.)
Omitooshi): see through, already know, know everything
(Agura’o kaite-iru): It originally means “sitting cross-legged,” but here, it means “relaxing without making any effort, satisfied with my current position.”
Rakan “Hanpa-na sugata’de, hanpa-na shigoto’o shite, sorede nani-goto’mo umaku-iku-to-demo? …Hanpa-na, kangan-yaro’no mama’de… nani’ga dekiru-to iun-desu!!”
Lakan “Your appearance, your work… all half-measures. And you think everything will just all work out somehow? What can you ever hope to achieve acting as a sorry eunuch?!”
Hanpa-na): halfway, incomplete, cagmag
〇〇野郎(〇〇やろう/〇〇yaro): insulting word for men -野郎(やろう/yaro): rougher word than “man/guy”
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Rakan “O…O…Oji-ki!? A… N…”
Lakan “U-Uncle?!”
叔父貴(おじき/Oji-ki): Uncle (When men call their uncles) = 叔父さん(おじさん/Oji-san)
Generally speaking, regardless of gender, we call our uncles “おじさん”, but it sounds a bit polite, so some guys use a rougher word, 〇〇貴(〇〇き/〇〇ki). But I’ve never heard of anyone actually using it around me… It’s common in anime, TV dramas, and movies. Maybe you’ve heard of “兄貴(あにき/Aniki): Big Bro” or “姉貴(あねき/Aneki): Big Sis” in another anime or something.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Rakan “Wakatteru-yo, Oji-ki. Sakki-nowa, uri-kotoba’ni kai-kotoba’de… anna-koto iu-tsumori’wa, koreppocchi’mo nakattan-da.”
Lakan “I know, Uncle. That was just, you know, an exchange that took an unexpected turn. I didn’t mean to say those things, not one bit!”
Uri-kotoba’ni kai-kotoba): tit for tat, the exchange of harsh words
In Japanese, we use the word “売る(うる/Uru): sell” to mean to “start/pick” a fight, and “買う(かう/Kau): buy” to take up the fight. Of course, there is no money exchange in it, though.
Jinshi (Iya… Nan’no kotoba’mo utte-inai-ga…)
Jinshi (An ‘exchange’? I didn’t say anything…)
“No, I didn’t sell any word…”(direct translation)
I like this line very much. How calm and patient Jinshi is…
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Rakan “Onegai’ni mairi-mashita. Gyaku-zoku, Shisho’o utsu-beku, gun’o ugokashite-itadaki-tai-to!”
Lakan “I come to you with a plea. I humbly request that you rally the army to defeat Shishou, the traitor!”
Gyaku-zoku): rebel, traitor
I wonder why they translated it into “traitor,” not into “rebel.” 逆賊 is a very strong word which means a villain who rebels against his master or the leader of his country and who must be caught and executed. For me, the word “traitor” sounds lighter and less serious.
Rahan “Shi’no ichi-zoku’wa su-nen-mae-yori, shin-gata’no feifa’o seizo-shite-iru-yodesu. Feifa’o mochiita ansatsu-misui. Roran’no tobo’no ken’mo gozai-masu.”
Lahan “The Shi clan seems to have been manufacturing a cutting-edge model of feifa for several years now. There’s also the assassination attempt using said feifa, as well as the case of Loulan’s escape.”
I got goosebumps watching this scene. Not only the Lakan’s mannerisms, but also the way Lahan spread out the document in front of Jinshi, then quickly stepped back and lined up next to Lakan, and how Luomen was clearly showing the same respect even without kneeling… everything was so cool and amazing.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Rakan “Muhon’no shoko’wa sorotte-imasu. Umi’wa hayame-ni dashi-kiru-beki desu.”
Lakan “We have all of the evidence to prove that this is a rebellion. This problem needs to be addressed immediately.”
膿を出し切る(うみをだしきる/Umi’o dashi-kiru): It originally means “drain the pus,” but here, it means “remove all the bad stuff that’s built up inside.” We often use this expression when there is something bad in an organization.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Rakan “Itsu-made… karisome-no sugata’de azamuki-tsuzukeru-tsumori-desu-ka? Jinshi-sama. Ie… Tsuki’no Kimi.”
Lakan “How long do you intend to fool everyone with your false role, Master Jinshi? Or rather… Moon Prince?”
I think that in the original novel Lakan didn’t say “Master Jinshi? Or rather… Moon Prince?” but he did know the true identity of Jinshi, so that was added in the anime. Although Lakan cannot distinguish between people’s faces, he has what seems to be a special ability to see into people’s true nature.
――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Shisui’s true identity was revealed, and the story of Season 2 is quickly reaching its climax. In this episode, her long monologue, which begins with the line “Mother is laughing,” was probably not in the original novel and was added in the anime. It was a great episode and I like it very much. Right now, I’m both excited to see the rest of the episodes and sad that the season is coming to an end, and I guess you all feel that way. Let’s enjoy Season 2 until the end together!

The thing is Kiki and her group's introduction wasn't meant to be a traditional incident persay. Much more a mystery and survival horror that turns slice of life as they slowly adapt to their new environment. A mystery that's had its basic concepts planted but I've not fully explored yet.
But I still have thought of it as an incident and I've had a concept of the stages the entire time even if those stages have changed as I've developed Kiki ideas with others. In fact, there is still the potential that someday it may become an incident. Perhaps when the true God of the Shrine Cafe finally awakens. After all, if you've been paying attention Kiki has been starting to develop real shrine maiden abilities as she gathers faith. Maybe there really is a God buried in there.
So anyways in case you're curious here are what the stages would be.
Stage 1: Random Ass Youkai that just happens to be in the area. Maybe my joke oc Yuuna that I've never done anything with or the mouse henchman of Nazrin I'm working on. Alternatively if I dipped into canon it would be nice for Narumi to have a time to shine since she's so often left out (though it'd take some work to give her an in character reason)
Stage 2: Another random ass youkai (see above) or Jacket because I've started associating her with that crew. (Midboss: Toki)
Stage 3: Hikari (midboss: Maybe @multimuseticles 's Asuka)
Stage 4: Kiki (midboss: Also Kiki) alternatively given we've established the Moriyas and Kiryuus having an alliance it could be Sanae with Kiki as the midboss.
Stage 5: The Shrine goddess (Midboss Kiki)
Stage 6: A big surprise hidden on Soup's muse list.
Ex Stage: Soup's Centice (Allegra and Forte as midboss).
Obviously in all the 2hus Reimu and Marisa are the incident resolvers (except when Reimu stayed home for 18.5) so they'd be the players of this hypothetical game but since I love people's ocs, I wanted to note down a couple in the fandom that I think could have a good reason to get caught up in incident resolving.
Izumi: So her God would definitely tell her to go fight the new shrine the moment an actual god started appearing there, right?
Chloe & Crescent: They run a Cafe in Gensokyo, so Kiki's own is stepping on their turf. Plus ain't Chloe meant to be the protagonist of her blog? This girl has got to get out and do more! The two have the gimmick of functioning like a TH8 character, being able to swap between the two as seperate modes.
Mao: I just want Mao to have a chance to do something heroic as a part of her rehabilitation. But also I just see a fun parallel in an incident caused by ostensibly good characters and an incident resolver that is a villainous character.
Iku: I dunno if Teeps uses Iku in Touhou stuff but being descended from Susanoo could make her fairly relevant to the god of the Shrine (who is not Susanoo).
Freya: Whenever it comes to Nep's muses, Jun may be the first thought for an incident resolver but the thing is that this is a very shrine maiden/shrine focused thing. With that in mind I think someone that desires to be a shrine maiden would be fitting.
Nyalter: "But Nyalter isn't an incident resolv-" the shrine is cutting in on her business and she has a cool skeleton hand.
Mugi: Do I have a reason for Mugi to resolve an incident? No. I just like the Mugman. Maybe Tewi sends him to assert rabbit power over the tanuki and badgers.
Kuromatsu: I mean, they're at the foot of the mountain and she guards the mountain. It only makes sense if shit started happening she'd have to come down.
Postal fairy: Listen it's be funny if Remilia didn't take things seriously enough for Sakuya and sent her mailwoman instead.
So yeah thank you for coming to my TEDtalk on the hypothetical Touhou: Willow Storm in Enlightenment.

Anime Movies Rewatch Selection
Even though I still have quite a lot to watch, there are times when I feel like I want to rewatch. Especially when my memories about it starting to blur more and I want to feel that feeling again. Here I tried to make a list of some anime movies I would like to rewatch~
Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome 夜は短し歩けよ乙女 (2017) and Inu-Ou 犬王 (2021) / Masaaki Yuasa
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I often get attracted with something surreal. Masaaki Yuasa's movies are like an hour and a half ride into someone's mind that makes me bemused and mesmerized. Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome is eccentric and since I enjoy Youjouhan Shinwa Taikei quite much, it's great to see them again~ Storywise, perhaps they skipped some (or a lot?) parts of the book (I haven't read it yet), it might be not a whole experience but still fun to watch! Inu-Ou is interesting, cool performances! Though I may need some time before I rewatch because the ending is heart-wrenching, it's not that surprising considering that era often has tragic stories, but still, there is a lingering feeling that I need to be prepare for. Mind Game (2004) also interesting (weird) movie that I may considering to rewatch. The visual of Masaaki Yuasa's movies are interesting. Maybe, when I just don't feel like thinking of anything, I will find myself rewatching them.
(2003) / Satoshi Kon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Satoshi Kon's movies are must-watch! Though his movies that I will rewatch are Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers, Perfect Blue (1997) and Sennen Joyuu (2001) are very good too. His storytelling, the surrealism. Even though I probably will not get a happy fluffy feeling after rewatch, his movies somehow stuck on my mind that I can't help myself from thinking about them when I want to watch something fascinating.
Kimi no Na wa (2007) / Makoto Shinkai
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other than the recent one (Suzume), I have watched most of Makoto Shinkai's works and my top favorites that I want to rewatch are Kimi no Na wa and Byousoku 5cm. The first movie that makes me interested to watch Shinkai's upcoming movies is Byousoku 5cm. It's slow at first half or perhaps 2/3 of the movie? I was a bit sleepy in the middle but still want to continue, and that last part, it got me awake. 'One More Time, One More Chance' started playing and I couldn't get off my eyes from screen even for a second. Mixed emotion, all came at high speed. Those lingering feelings. We can stay in contact no matter how far we are now, but that period of time, the distance, and that point when they passed each other. Life. Then, there's Kimi no Na wa~! I have rewatched it pretty soon after first watch, maybe because it gave a good feeling at that time. It's delightful and beautiful, a phenomenon of love story that transcend time and space. I like what Taki wrote in Mitsuha's hand when they're about to be separated.
Bakemono no Ko バケモノの子 (2015) and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo 時をかける少女 (2006) / Mamoru Hosoda
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mamoru Hosoda's movies can be enjoyable or quite boring for me but I often interested in watching his movies. My top favorites that I want to rewatch are Bakemono no Ko and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. I also may considering Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (2012) when I am in the mood for something emotional and family. I remember watching Bakemono no Ko was fun, though my memory of its story already blurred. I also remember that Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is nice and bittersweet. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo probably the first time travel anime I watched. Since it's been a long time, I want to rewatch them someday.
(1994, Isao Takahata), Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (1995, Yoshifumi Kondo) / Studio Ghibli
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have watched most of Studio Ghibli's movies~! My top favorites are Pom Poko, Spirited Away, Mononoke Hime and Whisper of The Heart. I might rewatch other Ghibli movies for their wonderful background art. Heisei Tanuki Gassen Ponpoko is adorable and entertaining but also has a heartfelt message. Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi is the first Ghibli movie I watched, it's enchanting. I also like Kaonashi when it become a good spirit, it's adorable. Mononoke Hime is captivating and I like forest, Kodama~! I am attracted with stories of humankind co-existing with nature. Mimi wo Sumaseba is lovely and I like their nostalgic vibe. Other than these four, I may considering to rewatch Omoide Poro Poro (1991) too, someday.
Hope I have time to rewatch all I want, in between my to-watch and to-read long list 👁👄👁

Blood Brothers.(part 6)
(Sundrop wakes up screaming, "No!!! He looks around and takes a deep breath).
Sundrop: Moondrop, I just had a horrible dream, you and I tried to trick The Blood Moon Elite, you told me to look for an escape and I ended up getting bitten and turned into a vampire!
(The door opened, and Sundrop covered his eyes with his arm because the light was too bright).
Willy: That was no dream, Sundrop...
Sundrop: So, it actually happened!?
Willy: Yes.
Sundrop: Where's Moondrop, did you find him?
Willy: We sure did.
Sundrop: What did you do to him, you didn't kill him, did you!?
Lilac: Of course not.
Sundrop: Then, what did you do to Moondrop?
Lilac: Well, let's just say, his blood was absolutely devine...
Sundrop: You bit him!?
Lilac: I sure did, don't worry, I made sure his bite mark was sealed, so your brother will join us very soon...
(Gus places Moondrop on the bed to Sundrop's left, Lilac puts Moondrop's collar back on his neck).
Sundrop: How could you turn us into blood thirsty monsters!?
Knighty: Well, it's what you two get for messing with what is now your own kind...
Sundrop: (sigh) When will Moondrop wake up?
Knighty: From my experience, I would say a few hours, but you only took twenty minutes to wake up, so we'll have to see.
Sundrop: Okay...
(Moondrop woke up an hour later).
Moondrop: Sundrop, I had a nightmare where we tried to trick a bunch of vampires, but it backfired and we ended up becoming vampires instead.
Sundrop: That wasn't just a nightmare, brother.
Moondrop: What?
Sundrop: It actually happened.
Moondrop: Oh yeah, now I remember...
(There was a moment of silence).
Moondrop: This is all my fault.
Sundrop: Oh, Moondrop...
(Willy suddenly opens the door).
Willy: Alright, you two, follow me to the dining room.
(Sundrop and Moondrop followed Willy to the dining room where the others were waiting from them).
Sundrop: So why did you bring us here?
Willy: Better question is "are you hungry?"
Sundrop: I am, actu-
Moondrop: Yes!!!
(Moondrop slams his hands on the table as his eyes go from sky blue to blood red).
Sundrop: (frightened) What has gotten into, brother!
Toki: That would be the bloodlust, dear Sundrop, and might I say, it is really strong in your brother.
Moondrop: Enough talk, I must feed!
Willy: Of course, here you go.
(Willy hands both of them a rabbit.)
Sundrop: We're not draining the blood from innocent creatures, right, Moondrop?
(Sundrop turns to Moondrop, only to see him about to bite the rabbit he was given and suck its blood).
Sundrop: Oh no you don't!
(Sundrop snatches the rabbit from Moondrop before he could bite it).
Moondrop: Hey, give it back!
(Moondrop tries to grab the rabbit from Sundrop, but he keeps it from his reach).
Sundrop: You are not sucking this poor rabbit's blood!
Moondrop: But, I'm starving!
Willy: Sundrop, let your brother feed.
Sundrop: No, you're not the boss of us, we're leaving and finding a way to feed without hurting innocent creatures!
(Sundrop grabs Moondrop and heads for the entrance).
Sara: Should we follow them and force them to stay?
Willy: No need, they'll come back, (menacing) they always come back...
(The end of part 6)

@guiltycorp Sorry, I went off on a tangent in the other post, but the Sakura are an interesting thing.
One point hidden deep within Toki Alley Tales is that the Sakura predates humans being on the islands at all (??):
They say that in the past, before the fragile and short-lived mortals had crossed over the sea to these lands, Inazuma was once a land that belonged to the tanuki. Lazy and fickle by nature, the tanuki never worried about tomorrow, nor did they carry today's troubles with them through the night. During that period, the land of Inazuma was a cozy paradise for the tanuki and every day was a fun-filled festival.
At least, that's what the tanuki elders say.
Later on, the kitsune arrived by sea, forcing the tanuki into a great war that lasted first for 800 years and then for another 800 years, with both sides suffering heavy casualties, until eventually the only option was to hold peace talks. The tanuki are a stubborn bunch and to this day still don't admit defeat, but the fact remains that they ceded the giant Thunder Sakura to the kitsune.
They repeat these parts twice, in volume 1 and 6, so that’s interesting.
"Thunder Sakura” is also used to refer specifically to the trees at Kannazuka:
Miyuki: You've probably seen the Sacred Sakura at the Grand Narukami Shrine? That's a symbol of the Great Narukami's power. The Great Narukami is eternal, just as the Sacred Sakura will always in full bloom.
Miyuki: Beyond the shrine, in Kannazuka, you will find Thunder Sakura. They share a common origin with the Sacred Sakura and possess a similar power, too.
Kazari also calls the main island Sakura a “Thunder Sakura,” so I guess it’s just the name of the whole tree species, and the one at Narukami is called Sacred Sakura to distinguish it.
But Miyuki has another line that is weird to me:
Miyuki: Please don't get careless. The Thunder Sakura being weakened makes the situation very dangerous indeed. After all, these trees serve to suppress the one who lies beneath...
It... could be the Tatarigami, but that seems unlikely, since the main body is all the way out at Yashiori, and that’s the place that has its negative influence. The stuff at Tatarasuna is due to the Mikage Furnace having the Tatarigami’s core, which is a recent thing. (A tatara is a traditional Japanese furnace, so Tatarasuna’s name has nothing to do with the Tatarigami, which uses different kanji meaning “curse god.”)
Miyuki and Miyazaki Saburou also both say that Kannazuka is not under the influence of either the Electro Archon or the Orobashi.
So what I’m trying to say is:
The Thunder Sakura is used to suppress a god under Kannazuka.
The Narukami Sacred Sakura might have a similar purpose.
This potentially predates humans in Inazuma at all, though not necessarily.
So maybe the reason they use the trees to filter out filth is because of the dead god residue business. It seems like the taint in the Abyss is at least similar or connected to angry dead god taint (Abyss is directly stated to have dead gods, iirc), so when the Cataclysm happened, the Sakura picked up that stuff too, but that’s outside its normal operation.
As for why Mond doesn’t have issues with this......... maybe it was just SUCH a frozen hellhole that no one except Andrius and Decarabian wanted it?? The other gods didn’t even die there, they just left.

"Big congratulations to Hikari. She's not in last for once, eh? Finally became a big winner."
Tumblr media
"Well, I'll just hand it over and get out of your hair. The file's what you're here for, right? And ..."
Tumblr media
"Is anybody there?"
Kira Hikari
Tumblr media
(Faceclaim: Haru Makishima of Raging Loop (A VN you SHOULD play)).
Kira Hikari is a perfectly normal human that has lived in the city of Sapporo for all her life. She's a year younger than both Toki and Kiki and joined the Willow Shrine a year after them. What Hikari definitely is not a Mujina. Kiri Hikari is a perfectly normal human and not a Mujina. But just in case you were curious:
Mujina are Japanese badgers but a Mujina Youkai is a badger that takes human form. Much like what a Tanuki is to a badger dog or a kitsune is to fox. They're actually fairly removed from the other two. While Kitsune and Tanuki are tricksters who infiltrate human society for their own benefit, Mujina often are shy and isolate themselves from human society. Instead choosing to live in the mountains far from humans. Those Mujina who do live among humans tend to fiercely conceal their identity rather than risk revealing it for tricks or schemes.
The word Mujina, in some parts of Japan, means Tanuki. Meanwhile in other parts of Japan, the word Tanuki means Mujina. Both creatures are also both tiny furry mammals that shapeshift into humans with magical abilities. This causes some confusion between the two youkai. In fact, Mujina may be blamed for the actions of Tanuki and driven from human villages. Thus there exists a rivalry between the two. As an aside, the term Mami can refer to a Tanuki or a Mujina. Which makes it perfect for both youkai's names. Perhaps if Hikari were a mujina her actual name may be Amami.
Granted such information is not particularly useful, since Hikari is a human and not a mujina. Though if she were a mujina she would likely be aware that most youkai have fled to Gensokyo because the outside world has become too hostile. With that in mind, she would have a vested interest in getting there herself. It would also explain all the badger that hang around the shrine.
Hikari attends the same university as Toki and Kiki. There she studies law and criminal justice, however she is still only in her undergraduate. Law school is still a distance away. While she works at the Willow Shrine with the others, Hikari is not a waitress. Instead her work keeps her confined to the kitchen. Despite this, she's still been encouraged by the owner to learn an instrument. Thankfully she already knew how to play the otsuzumi when she arrived, because playing traditional Japanese instruments from hundreds of years ago is totally hip with the youths like Hikari.
Hikari has a very forward personality and an energetic approach to life. It takes little time for her to deem someone a friend and said friendship tends to come with an immediate nickname. Her coworkers initially found Hikari a bit difficult to deal with but she's really wormed her way into each's heart.

One Piece Chapter 1007 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
Allow me to be the first to say
WHAT!?
Wh-what!? How? Why? Answers Oda, ANSWERRRRRS!
Chapter 1006 left us with an unnerving L session in the midst of Tropical Kickassery, but Oda continues the perpetual cocktease by moving to another for Chapter 1007
Spoilers for Chapter 1007, Support the Official Release as well
A Caesar cover page this time, though something did catch my eye; one penguin has ‘Senso Y...’ but I can’t seem to translate that, the nearest Penguin however has 401 written on his hat. You know what Chapter 401 was? Pirates vs CP9, and the color spread was the Straw Hats running from a Mammoth, foreshadowing maybe?
Unusual to recent chapters, we pick up where we left off with the lower floors, seems the Oniwabanshu were also defeated along with the Mimawarigumi, only Mega Forehead who dipped will remain then
Apoo is Ashook, but Drake throws Hyou some respect
Back to last week’s cliffhanger, Hyou and Omasa are close to turning and awaiting assassination by their reluctant Yakuza
Queen though has lost patience with his subordinates begging, noting how since there are no SMILEs anymore, their only purpose is now to die, but he also has a go at the Samurai, mocking them for trusting in Chopper - a pirate - to save them
Between all this I got a little laugh on how Drake in his hybrid dino form just kicked some nameless dude, like he dual wields weapons so he had to have chosen just to toe kick someone away
Just as Yattape is about to strike down Hyou though, Chopper comes in, blocking the sword with his hand/hoof as well!
Fresh faced cute Chopper is back, he did it in time!
Chopper Nuke to the rescue!
Knowing that he’d have to get to everyone, Chopper decided to administer the cure in a cloudburst counter-virus, using Cowpox to defeat Smallpox
Second Rate? Bitch you wish Queen, wait till you learn that he undid your Mummy virus too. Though I really wish Chopper just went ‘Because I am a doctor’ rather than ‘we had a timeskip to hone our skills’
Queen is reaping what he sowed as well, now the Waiters and Pleasures have turned on Queen in favour of Chopper, wanting to protect who saved them rather than the one who’s been letting them die
That’s more backgammon tiles turning as well, Chopper and Tama just single-handedly turned a vast majority of Kaido’s army against him, but it does serve to worry that the Tobi Roppo, Disasters and the threat of Big Mom’s crew and the Yonko themselves are a hefty threat, but the numbers advantage is turning around
Marco then in with the headlock, he seems to be using the arm that had its wing chopped off so likely means that he’s recovered
Monster Point finally showing up to smack some taste outta Queen’s mouth, Chopper is NOT a Tanuki - he’s a Reindeer with Tanuki-like powers
Ha the ‘Ohhhhh’ faces, especially Drake XD Dino boy is intimidated
Over with Yamato, Momo’s having a bit of a pity parade
Yamato you’re supposed to have a dragon in your pants not your tits XD Momo finally turns dragon form and even though he’s basically a pink version of Yamato’s dad he calls it an Eel
And coincidentally, CP0 have just started talking about Momo’s artificial DF, turns out it was made directly from Kaido and Vegapunk’s Lineage Factor and was going to be taking by the WG, but it was considered a failure
White-eye is on the money with the bombshell, the fruit was a success: Vegapunk copied a Devil Fruit, and Momo has it. Got two fish bois here
And then back to the Akazaya, they’re alive and treated but they don’t know who did it
But we would know that silhouette anywhere, it’s Oden! And we leave that on a break
But...I don’t buy it
We saw Oden die, Zoro is using one of his swords as we speak (those hilts don’t match either) and he hasn’t aged a second, so what’s the deal? The only way this could legit be a living breathing Oden is if Oden was sent to the future and then came back but how does he do the back bit if Toki can only send people forward
Oden also does not at all fit the shadow figure on that cliffhanger, so he can’t have been the one tending the wounds, and if he was outside in the open the Marys would see him, I’m sure someone would be like ‘WTF IS KOZUKI ODEN DOING BACK FROM THE DEAD!?’
So what’s the other options? Well, it’s not Oden, but someone’s posing as him. Cyborg Oden would lure them in to a trap, Kanjuro could be alive and made a paint Oden, it could be ninjutsu by Mega Forehead, Onimaru could’ve transformed too but I don’t see why, out there suggestion that Caribou can change shape too but he’s never demonstrated such an ability and he’s never seen Oden so I just wonder where he is in all this. There’s also the off-shot that since it’s the Fire Festival honoring the dead, this is Ghost Oden but that’d be hard to work - but if anyone could do it Oda can.
Overall, it’s a big BIG cliffhanger but one that renders me with worry over our Akazaya and now we have to simmer with a week break and possibly not even tread back on it for next chapter
We’ve replaced the questions of ‘can Chopper stop the virus’ and ‘is Hyou really gonna die’ with ‘What is Oden?’ and ‘How will people react to Dragon Momo?’ so the perpetual cocktease continues
but still, after the L session we got a huge W in Chopper curing all the Ice Oni and turning Kaido’s forces against him. While I don’t think Monster Point Chopper can beat Queen - he might have a decent go at it though - alone, anything Chopper does up to this point is a W over Queen so long as the Ice Oni has been remedied. Hyou survives for a bit longer but his strength and life force is sapped now, there is the chance he won’t last the end of the raid still.
It is worth reminding that things can still go very badly; Hawkins is nowhere to be seen (will continue to hope that he makes a face turn), Apoo is still on Kaido’s side and Perospero is still lurking in the chat, not to mention that things could still be going very bad at the top of the dome with Hybrid Kaido and BM vs the Supernovas, also the Island is still on course to flatten the Flower Capital
The questions ramp up but the raid is far, far from over.

Willy's Wonderland ex vampire hunter au part 5
(Everyone goes to the dining room and has a blood feast, Sara gets an extra blood bag because she's drinking blood for two, Sara feels yet a another kick while she was drinking from her blood bag.)
Sara: Man my daughter keeps kicking, she must be really eager to see the world.
Toki: I know exactly how you feel Sara, Luna would kick me in my womb all the time when I was pregnant with her.
Sara: Hopefully she'll be born soon, I look fat.
Knighty Knight: Don't say that dear, you are beautiful no matter what.
(Knighty Knight puts his hand on Sara's pregnant tummy.)
Knighty Knight: You're even beautiful when you're pregnant.
Sara: Thanks, Knighty...
(The two of them kiss when suddenly Sara's water broke.)
Sara: Oh God, here comes the contractions!
Knighty Knight: Hold my hand dear!
(Sara grabs Knighty Knight's hand with major force causing him unintentional pain in the hand, Knighty Knight, sheads a tear in pain.)
Willy: Someone call a monster ambulance, we need to take Sara to the monster hospital!
(Tito calls a monster ambulance and Sara is taken to the monster hospital where she is taken to the emergency room. Everyone is waiting outside while Sara is delivering her daughter.)
Akria: Hey Knighty Knight, was it like this when Sara had to deliver Brucie?
Knighty Knight: As a matter of fact yes, the only difference was that I screamed in pain when Sara crushed my hand.
(The other vampire wives tell Akira about their birth stories, after a while a zombie doctor walks into the room and congratulates Knighty Knight and tells him that he can go see his new born daughter now, Knighty Knight enters the emergency room to see Sara hold their new born daughter in her arms.)
Sara to the baby: Say hi to papa sweetie.
(Knighty Knight walks up to his daughter and reaches his hand out to her, she then grabs his pinky finger and he sheds a tear of joy.)
Knighty Knight: What shall we name her?
(Sara thinks long and hard about it and settles on Crystal.)
Sara: How about Crystal?
Knighty Knight: I love that name.
(After awhile everyone else was allowed to see the new born baby. All the guys were congratulating Knighty Knight while the ladies were taking turns holding Crystal, when it was Akira's turn she was overwhelmed with emotion, she closed her eyes and reminisce on they day where she could be holding her own baby with her partner Alpha.)
Akria: She's beautiful...

About Avanchick Disbanding
I need someplace to write about it as I heard/read way too much shit and I was at their tour final on saturday where they announced it.
So. Avanchick played their set, they were amazing, we had loads of fun, it was an AMAZING end to a 12 band live that started way too early (11 am wtf). They left stage, the fans yelled for an encore and pretty quickly they were on stage again. Noah said “Thanks for the encore” and I just thought “well, thank YOU for giving us one?!?” he continued saying “We have an important announcement” and if you’ve had one or two or more of your fave bands disbanding. you know.
you know what an important announcement like that means. I looked at their faces and you could see it. He went on to explain that Avanchick will disband in fall. They’re not sure when exactly yet but it will be in fall. This one-man tour was the last they’ll do. Of course there will still be chances to see them till then, but in fall, it’s over. He said in about 8-9 month.
Noah went on explaining that they had talked about it a lot already, and that it was a very hard decision for them to make. They had decided, that if their one-man tour would sell out, they’d continue. But it didn’t, which then meant disbanding.  The decision was made on Saturday morning, only a few hours before the live. While explaining all that, everyone was crying. The fans. the band. It was so sad! the first encore song was “明日もし世界が終わっても”
and noah couldn’t sing it. he had to stop in between because he was crying so much. he couldn’t. they all were bawling their eyes out, like the world was literally ending tomorrow.
SO after the live i went to talk to a friend about how sad it it because avanchick are SUCH A GOOD BAND FFS and we just can’t understand why they never became successful?!
Like, being that unsuccessfull after being active for so long is a plausible and understandable reason to disband, but why did they never even get more successful even though they were so so so so good? so this will be for everyone who say’s “Well they had it coming”:
So my friends googled and googled while I had already accepted everyhing and she found some rumors. RUMORS.  I hate rumors. I didn’t even understand most of it because it was so much WTF? but first and most of all there was the vocalist of their lablemates Betty and some regular on twitter that were spreading those rumors.
I think you learn pretty early in your life that angry people shouldn’t be trusted.  As in, the band betty disbanded because of something and we do not know the real reason. The vocalist is angry. He might be talking shit.
And the regular fan? She probably just didn’t get enough attention from Noah anymore so she was also just talking shit.  If a bandman offers you concert tickets for a high price (even though you know the actual price) ... who exactly had it coming here, bitch be stupid so now it’s noah’s fault? we don’t even know if that’s legit what happened and as long as I don’t see screenshots from noah writing that (and not half the convo from the girls side blurred out like j-gya love to do) you can not prove it. And I won’t believe it.
I’ve seen noah, and all of avanchick. They’re sweet and cute and lovely and they loved their band so so so much. You could see how much the disbanding hurt them. They would never do anything that would come back to them and harm the band. So to everyone that thinks “they had it coming”, fight me. because i will not accept anyone or anything talking such bullshit.
Thanks for reading! I hope most poeple agree on the matter and realize that rumors will be rumors and you shouln’t believe the internet-  and especially not tanuki or shit!
