I love the recurrent fic theme that Adam and Fergus go do consultancy work for the Greens post 2016.

It's especially funny when Adam's doing it because the dude's gone clear across the political spectrum and like is it because he ultimately has no true political beliefs or did he get accidentally radicalised from five years of close working with the Conservative party

I also love it when they're specifically working for Rachel Fawcett because subtle crossovers are amazing

Toi: I’m hom–

Netaro: Toi! I know who the perpetrator is! The one who gobbled up all the pudding is–

Toi: Whaaa, wait! Don’t say any more~!!

Netaro: Mmph.

Toi: Phew… That was close…

Netaro: You’re quite the bold one, suddenly covering my mouth like that.

Why did you stop me?

Toi: Of course I‘d stop you!

Can I ask you why instead? Why did you try to give me spoilers?

Netaro: Because you wanted to know who the perpetrator was, Toi?

I figured I could tell you as soon as possible! Thought it’d make you happy.

I also found an animated version of it, so I watched everything until the third season on 3 different devices at 3 times the speed all at once. I watched up until the part where the protagonist finds a romantic partner ♪

Toi: I can’t believe you watched it like that!

…You said you did that for me? I’m happy.

But you didn’t need to do that. It’s something… that will make me sad.

Netaro: Make you sad?

Toi: Everyone enjoys things in different ways, so I can’t say the way you watched it is wrong.

But I don’t think that’s the only way to enjoy a story.

You can try to understand how the characters feel by putting yourself in their shoes…

Watching how the drama unfolds is like going on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, right? It’s the same thing. I believe the enjoyment process is important.

Netaro: Hmm. Is it just like watching people’s lives?

Toi: Yeah. Maybe that’s what it means to enjoy a drama. You cry and laugh at the stories of others.

I don’t think… it’d be interesting if you knew how it’d turn out.

I’ll only find it boring… if someone told me or showed me the ending. In fact, I don’t think I could keep watching…

Netaro: But you can “see the future”.

Toi: That’s precisely why.

All the painful and happy things… I want to cherish and appreciate each and every one of them. 

Netaro: …I see.

Hmm… okay. I understand.

So you’re saying that futility isn’t a bad thing? Just like this drama.

Toi: Yeah.

Netaro: Alright. I won’t say any more spoilers!

So… when I’m watching the episodes with you, I’ll watch them at the normal speed, right by your side.
