if Digby is a Grimwalker of Steve, is he an exact copy? or are there some differences to tell them apart

Digby is an almost perfect clone of Steve, because he was made with access to his entire body rather than just a small number of bones. So a lot of genetic traits such as hair/skin colour, general build and facial features are the same, but anything created by a "nurture" factor does not carry over - for example, Steve's signature wonky smile and nose ridge are from a childhood injury, and because that never happened to Digby, his face is symmetrical and his nose is straight. His horns are larger because Steve's horn growth was stunted by the same injury. He also has none of Steve's scars and his moles are in different places. Two other dead giveaways are his red eyes (obviously) and blackened skin on his fingers and toes, which were a result of him being "baked" a little too quickly during the Grimwalker process

Once he gets a little bit older he stops trying to look like Steve and starts having his own sense of personal identity. After he grows out his hair and starts wearing clothes he likes, most people at a glance would see a family resemblance but not clock him as a clone

Vee with a Palisman! His name is Dewdrop, and he's precious, and Vee loves him like a baby, but he's protective and tries to act big, but he's tiny. (Then again, if a bug this big in real life threatened me, I would probably run for the hills)

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted their species to be, but then when I started thinking about insects, my mind went to these little fellas that hide in plain sight, JUST. LIKE. VEE.

I'm definitely using him in my AU (where Vee grows up on earth and comes with Masha to the Boiling Isles [I realize I probably need a name for it]). Maybe they bond on Palisman Adoption Day, or earlier, IDK.

so this time i did the opposite of what i usually do and turned my own alebrije collection into palisman

disclaimer: alebrijes are mexican folkart made usually in oaxaca (which most of these are from) and mexico city, i did not design the alebrijes and just used them as inspiration, please if you ever buy alebrijes make sure they come from artisans as this is their livelihood and cultural appropriation from large companies is always a real threat

made some lore for em, ill put it under the cut

iggy: very clingy and loving, gets upset after spending too much time away from their owner chimalli: a rowdy and energetic little palisman that keeps jumping off of their staff against the wishes of their owner venus: very protective of their owner, pats are not allowed as previous confrontations left her head sensitive and the big biting tail doesnt help aleron: designed for flying sports with an aerodynamic body and wings, he is good sport tho and loves playing around with other palisman lance: rare palisman made with metal parts, these where used by warriors until the idea fell out of use as they didnt want their buddies to be harmed during battle, sadly lance took this as his owner not loving him anymore claire: was made using special gems to boost oracle and illusion magic, she was released by her owner soon after the coven system was created hopper: based on the folklore BI tale of the rabbit on the monsoon, some say it was made by the last person to see one of these flying creatures but not even he knows if its true oddball: a recent commision that hunter got to make a palisman in the shape of a toy bought from the owl lady years ago, no one involved knows what it is but everyone loves them the same
