btw when my brother and sister-in-law and niece were over tonight for dinner. i was sitting on the floor holding my dog so she could come over and pat him wo him jumpin all over her and knockin her over (he really has a hard time understanding that she's not just little but she's delicate, and he is a big dumb oaf)... but she really does love doggy, she gets more excited to see him than any of the rest of us probably lol. she has two dogs at home that are wonderful so she always gets excited to see other doggies, big and small, or even stupid graceless ones like dickens. but i'm straying from the point...

she was walkin round the kitchen while i was still holdin onto dickens and she turned back around to face me and just ran into my arms for a hug ;____; and later on before she left she did the same thing ;____; i got two UNSOLICITED baby hugs. twice my one-year-old niece saw me and was like "i am gonna go hug her" AAAHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHH

todays shift is crazy all the dogs in daycare left by like 3:40, like not even 2 hours after my shift started (today's shift was a 2:00) and then like FIVE HOURS before the end of my shift (roughly 8:30ish, tho we can get out a bit earlier around sometime in the 7:00 hour if there arent a lot of boarding dogs to walk) and we CANT START WALKING THE DOGS UNTIL LIKE 7:00PM 😭😭😭 we started cleaning early and we're gonna have like nothing to do in the vaccuum of time between finishing and then walking the dogs. its like 5:40pm rn and we basically have nothing to do 😭😭😭😭 we normally START cleaning at 5:30 because usually until then theres still dogs (last dogs usually tend to leave around a little before six ????) i guess this is just a sunday thing but BROOOO AJDHA

update on my trip to nyc:

went up to nyc, met some old friends and made some new ones, had a really lovely evening at Sleep No More. but... well, the thing about having a chronic illness is that it can be very difficult to gauge how an evening will hit you. it was cold out so I thought I'd be fine, but boyyyy I had a real rough night in the McKittrick. I've never been closer to just tapping out and going back to the Manderley to hang out. when I say I almost dropped like a fuckin' ROCK when an audience member hip-checked me at the end. lmao

so then I'd had all these plans for Monday, y'know? go see Pinocchio or see the Pinocchio exhibit at MOMA, maybe see another movie or have a nice lunch. y'know, something like that. but I was feeling so bad that it was just like. yeah this has become an endurance contest.

I always feel like I have to make the absolute most of my trips to NYC because I have so many opportunities to do things there that I can't do in Philly, but you also need to remember that vacations should be fun and not excruciatingly painful!

so I ended up breaking down and paying a little bit extra to move my train ticket up. went home a few hours early. passed the fuck out for thirteen hours. which tells me that I made the right decision to come home early, honestly. if I'd pushed it much further, I could've done some real lasting damage, and I have a work deadline this week.

so  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯? you win some, you lose some. lmao. still had a lovely Sunday night, even if Monday was kind of a bust.
