Writer Notes

Oh boy, this profile. I was seriously hoping to have it ready way earlier, it would have been perfect given the news of the big comeback! Unfortunately writer block decided to strike, but oh well, better late than never!

I was uncertain about Chai's class at first: Berserker or Saber were potential options, but neither felt right. In the end, I decided to conceptualize him as a combined Servant of sorts, with Chai as the main Servant and the rest of the team as Phantom Spirits summonable for brief moments: I figured it worked well given the original game's mechanics, and it allowed me to classify him as an Alter Ego without too much issue.

Chai's outfit in his first Ascension is a modified version of his prototype outfit from the original concept arts, while his final Ascension is based on his outfit in the ending.

For the references in the skills' names, I blame his second one: I couldn't resist the reference to the gang's names and it all spiraled from there. For the curious, the referenced songs are Iron Man by Black Sabbath, Boston Tea Party by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Synesthesia by The Glass Pyramids, and Ordinary World by Duran Duran. And no, I'm not apologizing for the active skills' ranks. ;)

The buffs during a Mighty Chain in his unique passive are a reference to the scoring system in the original game, where you get worse scores if you use the same move in a row: with FGO mechanics, you instead get better results if you use different colored cards.

The new "Musician" trait applies to any Servant who has shown a significant interest in music, regardless of their skill level. So yeah, Elizabeth and Nero do in fact have the trait. Additionally, all Servants who received a Spiritron Dress during the Grail Live event have the trait while wearing the costume.

While the Wiki lists Hibiki! as the first Special Attack developed in the game, it didn't feel quite right for Chai's Noble Phantasm. In the end, I decided to use the final combo attack in the final battle as the inspiration, while naming it as a variation of another of his high-Reverb Specials. With an additional Final Fantasy reference thrown in there, because why not, the original already referenced it anyway!

I will say it is super funny to me how people will see “nudity” in a piece of Terminator media and think it’s some form of fanservice and “wow we’re gonna see a bunch of naked people!!!”

Like, no. In the original film, there is a plot-relevant sex scene, and all the media afterwards have brief nudity due to the function of how time travel works in Terminator. That’s it. You’re not gonna get to stare at people’s private parts when watching a Terminator flick, it’s genuinely purely for the plot

Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Himari has a petite but a bit curvy female body build. She has long and straight marine colored hair which she rarely ties it up during club activities. Like some of her dorm mates, she too is born heterochromia colored eyes, light navy blue colored on her left eye which it revealed to be her normal eye while her right is star sliver colored which it revealed to be her inner beast eye, which her right eye can glow whenever she uses her inner beast abilities but rarely being used. Himari is one of the few peace makers in the dorm but is slightly timid.

Personality: Born as the single daughter within a traditional household and historical family lineage, she lived rather a sheltered lifestyle, eventually her five older brothers are the ones who can keep her company aside from her other family members. Despite living a normal life but as a inner beast race, unknown to her family that a lost tradition within that was forgotten was now born within Himari.

Eventually as Himari turned at age twelve, during an attempt assault. It happened unexpectedly... The minute Himari recovered in the hospital, she couldn't remember what she just did. This was no amnesia at all. Himari never knew what had happened which her family ended up being worried, then so a secret was kept hidden that not even Himari herself can even know about it.

The current Himari were now seeing is officially recovered, although she seems a bit timid and a little geeky. Is mostly seen collecting notes for various plans on battle fields for her dorm to see after her search. Aside from that, she's pretty much of a shy social girl to see in the campus.

She's one of the few peace-makers, eventually Himari makes sure that nothing bad will happen in the dorm if Hotaru isn't available around. Eventually she kinda hates that most of her dorm members treated her a like kid in a friendly manner and wanted to prove that she's capable since she's one of the planners.

She's pretty much fun if you get to know her more if you have Akira's consent or not. Needless to say, she's pretty much nerdy since she's lives in a traditional household. So to sum it short, you get a new nerdy gal to chat around, who gets tons of info for you heard. Big chance to collect a gossip or two from her as well, Akira is also tagging along as well.

To beware that she's a full intelligence on battle assets. Himari's eye sight never fails to miss a single opportunity when in battle. Although that is only the side we can see, though the secret she has when in battle is something no one but to her closest ones can know about it.

With a secret she isn't aware of, eventually her other self can reveal at the worse moments.

-The name 'Himari' is most commonly spelled as 陽葵, a combination of Japanese 陽 (hi) meaning "sunshine" and 葵 (mari) meaning "hollyhock". While her surname 'Reyes' is a Spanish word, usually used as a given name or Spanish surname. The literal translation into English is 'kings', but could also be translated as 'royals' or 'royalty'.

Lupin Zero - Official PV

Keiji Fujiwara died of cancer at the age of 55. The news was devastating for the seiyuu community. "Hagane" likely refers to the first airing of Fullmetal Alchemist in 2003 that used the title 「鋼の錬金術師」 (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi).

"Muji" seems like it refers to Zoids, the first Zoids anime series that is often referred to colloquially as "Muji Zoids", "No Label Zoids", to differentiate it from other Zoid series. In this series, Fujiwara voiced Irvine, a main supporting character and older brother figure to the main characters.

I entered college, and even when I cut off all ties to the industry up to that point and distanced myself from work, every half a year you would send me a message asking "Are you doing all right?"

I entered my fourth year of college, and when I said to you, "I want to return to work!" you got a little angry, but you earnestly heard me out. Even though I caused trouble to a lot of people, you saying "Welcome Back!" with a smile has always supported me.

4 years after returning to work, when I was worried that I wasn't doing as well as I had hoped, you said "It'll be all right!" and gave me a push on the back, and I was able to move forward.

I really have been spoiled by you for so so long.

You taught me so many things, I couldn't hope to write them all out. About acting, about movies, about novels, about life.

Even now I still have the novel I received from you right on my bookshelf. From now on, every time I watch a Kubrick or Victor Erice movie, I feel I will remember you.

I had the honor of doing my first radio show with him. When I was unable to speak well, he laughed at me. I found out about Fujiwara Keiji passing away. I had the honor of working together with him for various works, during my first public performance at Tokyo Dome he provided wonderful narration, and at the planetarium in my home prefecture I had the honor of performing together with him... Truly I was blessed with so many irreplaceable experiences. I pray from my heart that you rest in peace.

The performance at Tokyo Dome is referencing NANA MIZUKI LIVE CASTLE 2011, a series of live concerts performed at Tokyo Dome by Mizuki Nana on 2011/12/3 and 2011/12/4. Fujiwara provided narration for a short film called PLANETARIUM "Princess Nana of the Heavens" (PLANETARIUM「天界の奈々姫」) which was shown during the concert on both days.

The performance at the planetarium is referencing when Fujiwara and Mizuki co-starred in a Hoshi Koe performance held on 2016/4/24 at the Matsuyama City General Community Center Cosmo Theater. Matsuyama is the capital of the Ehime Prefecture, and Mizuki Nana was born in Niihama, Ehime. I hate the idea of something getting overshadowed without anyone knowing about it, so I will write about it here.

Since we first met when I was 19, I've been in your debt for a long time. Since before we started having work together, you'd hear out my concerns and give me advice, and go along with my selfish requests to take me along for drinks. Even though you'd always say, "Waddaya want now, Tattsun," you'd always keep your promises. Whenever we met at the studio you'd always be giving off a pleasant, lazy mood. When you were the sound director you'd say things like "Tattsun, you're the only person I can ask for this," things that I couldn't tell if you were being serious or not. It's only now that I can say this, but I took you seriously every time, and every time I was seriously happy you asked me. The fact that you said those things to me.

Sometimes I'd tell you about how people say that our voices or our acting are similar, and even though you'd reply by saying stuff like, "What? That's gross," behind your sunglasses I could see that the look in your eyes always softened happily. I like chatting in the smoking area, so anytime I'd spot you I'd head straight there. When you'd say, "Yo!" to me, it was a little embarrassing, but I was always happy you did.

I won't talk about acting. That's something I'll keep locked away in my heart.

I know you had it tough. However, I stopped talking about it. Since you hate that.

All I can remember, is you always saying, "Yo! Tattsun," every time you saw me. Gimme a break, let me remember something else, too.

Thank you for always listening to my selfish requests. Thank you for always listening to both my trivial ramblings and my serious talks.

I always thought you were an annoyingly cool old man. You were always the best. You were always the strongest.
