Hey what if

what if Noel has small gold flecks in his irises that are difficult to see and focus on but if you look really close they look like cracks and they're left over from the king breaking his mind

And when he first got out of the Dreamlands he thought it made it so the king could see everything he did kind of like John but like he can just look whenever he wants... Like a crystal ball lmao

So he was really paranoid for a long time but eventually he convinced himself the king wasn't watching but he still can't bring himself to look himself in the eye in any kind of reflection

I was drawing his eyes and it came to me like a vision

AND after he gets messed with by yellow in The Order episode, they get slightly more pronounced... Which maybe he doesn't notice until after he (hypothetically) gets out of the hospital in spain

Or like whenever he looks in a mirror next but I imagine it would take a while to notice since he avoids it anyway

OR MAYBE HE CHECKS ON PURPOSE BECAUSE HE HAS A HUNCH and then he confirms it and gets a panic attack

You know, I think when they finally start to slip into being more romantic, it won't be a huge conversation in that very moment. They'll have that later.

I think it'll be a moment like this, post-confession and Charles developing a crush on Edwin over a few episodes.

I think it'll be no words, maybe no thoughts, just feelings.

Charles lightly grabbing Edwin's arm as they're walking to get his attention, as they've done many times before. Only this time, instead of dropping his hand fully away, he hesitantly drops it closer by, accidentally brushing Edwin's fingers. They both get that little electrical nervous system hum reaction. Without thinking about it, Charles impulsively finds that his hand has reflexively settled into holding Edwin's. It feels right, and he doesn't want to let it go.

Edwin wants to sputter "Charles--" but the name never leaves his lips. He is speechless, his heart beating in the closing space between their palms.

They keep walking together, hand-in-hand, looking forward, rather than at each other. Flustered, confused, mutually pleased.

Maybe they can get away with holding hands more often. It doesn't have to mean anything, right?

Your art is so beautiful and the one with Crocodile reporting to Sengoku made me think about how funny it would be if in a canon au Garp finds himself staring at Crocodile a lot. Just something so familiar about him that he can’t put his finger on. Then goes home to Luffy and the feeling continues.

Crocodile unfortunately wouldn’t know why Garp the Fist is staring at him all the time and is horrified by the thought that he might have attracted yet another crazy man.

Oh, poor Crocodile! He might also wonder just why that crazy man seems laser focus on him is oddly and uncomfortably familiar too but can probably easily brush it off as being unsettled by having seemingly attracted Garp's attention *lol*

I must add this to my pile of things to draw X'D
