1. A beam of hope for North America’s most endangered sparrow
“Dozens of conservationists, gathered some distance away to avoid spooking the skittish sparrows, celebrated the [release of the 1000th captive-raised sparrow] in an unprecedented recovery program that in only a few years has doubled the bird’s wild population, from a mere 80 five years ago to some 200 today. […] “What we have achieved is the best case scenario.””
2. U.S. overdose deaths plummet, saving thousands of lives
“"In the states that have the most rapid data collection systems, we’re seeing declines of twenty percent, thirty percent," said Dr. Nabarun Dasgupta, an expert on street drugs at the University of North Carolina. […] According to Donaldson, many people using fentanyl now carry naloxone, a medication that reverses most opioid overdoses. He said his friends also use street drugs with others nearby, ready to offer aid and support when overdoses occur.”
3. Propagated corals reveal increased resistance to bleaching across the Caribbean during the fatal heat wave of 2023
“”[… Y]oung corals bred for restoration are a lot more resistant to bleaching under extreme levels of heat stress than the prevailing corals on the reef." [… Unlike with the previous propagation strategy, fragmentation, e]very time a population reproduces, new offspring receive newly mixed sets of genes through recombination, making them different from their parent colonies and thus enabling adaptation.”
4. Habitat Management Helps At-Risk Butterflies
“For a number of at-risk butterflies in the United States, habitat management can play an important role in keeping them from going extinct. [… “In] places where people are actively engaged with ways to manage the habitat, the butterflies are doing the best,” said Cheryl Schultz, a professor of conservation biology at Washington State University[….]”
5. Study: Protecting the ocean helps fight malnutrition
“[The study] found that fish catches in coral reefs could increase by up to 20 percent by expanding sustainable-use marine protected areas — that is, areas where some fishing is allowed with restrictions[, … and] that sustainable-use marine protected areas have on average 15 percent more fish biomass than non-protected areas. […] “Allowing regulated fishing in marine protected areas can support healthy fish populations, while also having a positive impact on the quality of life of surrounding communities.””
6. [FWS] Advances Effort to Create Urban Conservation Footprint in Tucson
““We want to continue to work together to create an urban footprint to improve access to nature, conserve habitats, and improve air and water quality.” […] The area provides habitat for several federally listed species, including southwestern willow flycatcher, western yellow-billed cuckoo, and Mexican garter snake. If protected, the area will also help connect critical habitat for jaguar and Chiracahua leopard frog.”
7. ‘Exciting’ solar breakthrough means energy can be kept in sustainable batteries that don’t overheat
“The technology is based on a specially designed molecule of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen that changes shape when it comes into contact with sunlight. These are common elements - providing an alternative to other technologies relying on scarce materials like lithium. […] A unique feature of the system is that the molecules also provide cooling in the photovoltaic cell[, which can store solar energy “for up to 18 years.”]”
8. Sea turtles make big comeback on sandy beaches at 2 British military bases in Cyprus
“[… The] number of nests surpass[ed] last year’s record count by nearly 25%, environmentalists said Tuesday. […] “The steep increase in turtle nests has been the result of a consistent, systematic ‘hands-off’ approach, together with enforcement efforts to minimize illegal, damaging activities on nesting beaches[….” D]aily patrols by volunteers ensure that aluminum cages set atop the nests remain in place to protect the turtles from predators like foxes and dogs.”
9. First ever photograph of rare bird species New Britain Goshawk
“The last documented scientific record of the bird is from 1969[….] Working closely with [“the Indigenous Mengen and Mamusi peoples”], WWF hopes to support local stewardship to safeguard the future of these incredible biodiversity hotspots through community-led conservation.”
10. Hospitals begin offering breakthrough radiation therapy for metastatic cancer tumors
“[First,] a patient is injected with a radioactive glucose (or sugar) tracer. The machine picks up the tracer in real time and in bright colors, [… then] reads a signal from the cancer cells breaking down the tracer. [… “The] machine is automatically and autonomously reacting and responding to those signals by shooting radiation back to their source[….]””

Jessica Valenti at Abortion, Every Day:
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita says that abortion reports aren’t medical records, and that they should be available to the public in the same way that death certificates are. While Rokita pushes for public reports, New Hampshire lawmakers are fighting over a Republican bill to collect and publish abortion data, and U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville has introduced a bill that would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to collect and provide data on the abortions performed at its facilities. Just last week, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed legislation that would have required abortion providers to ask patients invasive and detailed questions about why they were getting abortions, and provide those answers in a report to the state. All of these moves are part of a broader strategy that weaponizes abortion data to stigmatize patients and to prosecute providers. And while most states have some kind of abortion reporting law, legislators are increasingly trying to expand the scope of the data, and use it to dismantle women’s privacy.
Rokita’s ‘advisory opinion’, for example, argues that abortion data collected by the state isn’t private medical information and that in order to prosecute abortion providers, he needs detailed reports to be public. In the past, the state has issued reports on each individual abortion. But as a result of Indiana’s ban, there are only a handful of abortions being performed in the state. As such, the Department of Health decided to release aggregate reports to protect patient confidentiality, noting that individual reports could be “reverse engineered to identify patients—especially in smaller communities.” Rokita—best known for his harassment campaign against Dr. Caitlin Bernard, the abortion provider who treated a 10-year-old rape victim—is furious over the change. He says the only way he can arrest and prosecute people is if he gets tips from third parties, presumably anti-abortion groups that scour the abortion reports for alleged wrongdoing. He wants the state to either restore public individual reports, or to allow his office to go after abortion providers without a complaint by a third party. (Meaning, he could pursue investigations against doctors and hospitals without cause.)
Most troubling, though, is his insistence that women’s private abortion information isn’t private at all. Even though individual reports could be used to identify patients, Rokita claims that the terminated pregnancy reports [TPRs] aren’t medical records, and that they “do not belong to the patient.” [...] As I flagged last month, abortion reporting is becoming more and more important to anti-choice lawmakers and groups. Project 2025 includes an entire section on abortion reporting, for example, and major anti-abortion organizations like the Charlotte Lozier Institute and Americans United for Life want to mandate more detailed reports.
[...] As is the case with funding for crisis pregnancy centers and legislation about ‘prenatal counseling’ or ‘perinatal hospice care’, Republicans are advancing abortion reporting mandates under the guise of protecting women. And in a moment when voters are furious over abortion bans, anti-choice lawmakers and organizations very much need Americans to believe that lie. We have to make clear that state GOPs aren’t just banning abortion, but enacting any and every punitive policy that they can—especially those that strip us of our medical privacy. After all, it was less than a year ago that 19 Republican Attorneys General wanted the ability to investigate the out-of-state medical records of abortion patients. Did we really think they were going to stop there?
@jessicavalenti writes a solid column in her Abortion, Every Day blog that the GOP's agenda to erode patient privacy of those seeking abortions is a dangerous one.

Krel Tarron x Reader
Non-binary reader
SFW Scenario
It takes place during the 3below series
I'm writing all this with the translator since English is not my first language so if there are any mistakes please let me know <( ̄︶ ̄)>
🪄🐁: I will soon come with more food
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Krel was back in front of the holographic screen in his room, drumming his fingers nervously. He was determined to win the heart of his human crush, but earthling customs remained a mystery. How did humans connect emotionally without all the advanced technology and science he knew? So she had turned to "Mother" for advice.
—Mother, I need your help, —he said seriously, taking a breath.—I want to… impress a human.
The AI projected its holographic form, and Krel felt a slight flicker of discomfort as the ship's sensors analyzed his request.
—Understood, Prince Krel. I can provide suggestions on human courtship. Data shows that humans respond to certain common social stimuli. I will proceed to share a series of recommendations.
Krel nodded, looking over the list of tips that appeared before him. It seemed simple, in theory. How difficult could it be?
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Tip 1: A meaningful gift
—"A thoughtful gesture or a small gift is a way of showing appreciation between humans."
Krel frowned as he reviewed that first tip. He knew humans gave flowers and chocolates, but he wanted something more special. Something unique, something that would show how much he cared... without it being very obvious.
Determined, he spent the whole night creating a… how to describe it? A small, handmade device. It was a mix between a terrarium with a bioluminescent plant and a small gravitational field that made the object float gently. Krel thought it was impressive and was sure his crush would appreciate it.
The next day, with a big, self-satisfied grin, Krel approached them at school.
—I made this for you, —he said, holding the floating contraption in an outstretched hand. —I thought you might like it.
They looked at it, at first intrigued by the strange gift. But as soon as they took it, the plant began to emit a flickering glow that grew in intensity.
It’s so… cute! —they said, smiling at first. But as soon as the glowing plant started spinning faster and blinking wildly, their expressions changed to panic. —Is this safe?.
Before Krel could respond, the artifact began to sputter and floated too high, crashing into the ceiling of the hallway and exploding in a small burst of light.
Krel cleared his throat, trying to appear calm.
—Maybe… it needs a couple of adjustments, —he said as he picked up the remains of the device..
First attempt: disaster.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Tip 2: Specific compliments
—"Personalized compliments create a greater emotional connection between humans."
Krel thought this advice would be easy to follow. He knew a lot about his crush. He knew they liked science and was pretty smart. So, he decided that praising their intellect would be a great move.
The next day in chemistry class, Krel sat next to her and waited for the perfect moment. As she focused on measuring a substance, Krel decided to intervene.
—Your accuracy with test tubes is… statistically astonishing, —he commented enthusiastically.
They looked at him, not knowing whether to laugh or worry.
—Thanks… I think. —they replied, somewhat bewildered.
Krel decided to double down, thinking that perhaps a more specific compliment would be better.
—And the way you calculated the molar concentration of that solution… it’s almost as if you could handle mathematics at the quantum level.
Now they were clearly more confused than impressed.
—Uh… well, I learned it in class last year. —they answered, trying not to sound strange.
Krel bit his lip, realizing he might be going off on a bit of a tangent.
—What I mean is… you are very smart..
They smiled politely.
Second attempt: weird...
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Tip 3: Be protective
—"Showing care and protection creates a sense of emotional security."
Krel was convinced that this advice would be a success. He had noticed that humans reacted positively when someone showed concern for their safety. And since he had advanced skills in protecting others, he thought it was his time to shine.
As they walked together towards the cafeteria, he saw some kids running past, clearly not paying attention to their surroundings. This is my chance, Krel thought.
With quick movements, he pulled his crush to the side, placing them behind him with exaggerated protection.
—Watch out! —he exclaimed, turning dramatically. —You could have been run over by those reckless individuals!
They stared at him, mouths agape, totally surprised.
—Krel, they were just… running, — They said, with a nervous smile.
Krel was unfazed. He was certain he had done the right thing.
—You can never be too careful. Safety first. —he replied determinedly.
They laughed softly, clearly seeing the situation as a bit exaggerated.
Third attempt: exaggerated overprotection
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Tip 4: Quality time
The last tip was simpler: spend quality time together. No technology, no interruptions, just being in the moment. Krel thought this would be easy, but he underestimated how hard it would be not to use technology..
As they strolled through the park after school, Krel tried to hold a normal conversation. But soon, the silence felt awkward, and Krel began drumming his fingers, wishing he could Open your device to avoid this awkward situation.
Finally, he decided to distract himself from technology and focus all his attention on them.
—Did you know that the human brain releases dopamine during pleasant conversations? —he said, trying to start a topic that seemed interesting to him.
They looked at him, laughing softly.
—Really? That’s… good to know.
Krel nodded, glad to have steered the conversation back to a scientific topic. But then, without realizing it, he started talking about chemicals that activate dopamine in the brain… for 15 minutes straight.
By the time he realized it, they were looking at him with a mix of fascination and exhaustion.
—Krel, that was… very informative. —they said, trying to sound friendly.
Fourth attempt: excessive talk.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
At the end of the day, Krel returned to his room, somewhat frustrated, and stared at "Mother's" screen, waiting for her assessment.
—Mother, how did I do it? —he asked, sighing.
—The results indicate that 45% of your attempts were successful and 55% were questionable. I recommend adjustments to your approaches.
Krel slumped back into his chair.
—Maybe… humans are more complicated than I thought.
Despite everything, they allowed themselves a small smile. Even though everything had gone a little wrong, there was something charming about his mistakes. And they… well, thay hadn't completely walked away. That was a good start.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
We all love this alien boy called Krel

Who Is Lee Zeldin? (Sierra Club:
Excerpt from this story from the Sierra Club:
President-elect Donald Trump’s selection to lead the Environmental Protection Agency is, in a word, unexpected. The appointment announced on November 11—in which the Trump transition team erroneously referred to the EPA as the “Environmental Protective Agency”—was not an energy industry lobbyist like Andrew Wheeler or a MAGA insider like Mandy Gunasekara, who authored the EPA chapter of Project 2025. Instead, Trump chose Lee Zeldin, a little-known former Republican congressman from Long Island, New York, whose background on environment and energy issues is relatively skimpy.
So, then: Who is this person who will be in charge of the federal agency tasked with protecting the environment and public health?
Zeldin is a politician and military officer who grew up in New York’s Suffolk County. From 2015 to 2023, he represented New York’s First District (eastern Long Island) in Congress, where he sat on the House Foreign Affairs and Financial Services Committees. Before that, he served for four years in the New York state senate. In 2022, he ran for governor of New York against Democrat Kathy Hochul, a race that he lost by six points.
He’s a booster of fossil fuels and promises to unleash “energy dominance.”
In his run for governor of New York, Zeldin campaigned on expanding fossil fuel extraction. He called for allowing “the safe extraction of natural resources in the southern tier” of the state, approving new pipelines, and repealing the gasoline tax. He also was a staunch opponent of New York’s ban on fracking and ran on ending it. “[Zeldin] has a record of being pro-fracking, and that’s a record I think he’s going to clearly carry forward into the Trump administration,” Eric Weltman, a senior organizer in Food and Water Watch’s New York office, told Sierra.
Zeldin has mentioned pursuing “energy dominance” as one of three top priorities in heading up the EPA. “It is an honor to join President Trump’s cabinet as EPA administrator. We will restore US energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, and make the US the global leader of AI,” Zeldin said in a statement on X.
He has taken more than $410,000 from the oil and gas industry, and he questions the scientific consensus on climate change.
According to Climate Power, Zeldin has received over $410,000 from the oil and gas industry in his election campaigns, including over $260,000 while running for Congress and more than $150,000 in his gubernatorial run. He has taken more than $60,000 from Koch Industries over the course of his political career, according to Open Secrets data.
His voting record in Congress is mostly anti-environment, with an LCV lifetime score of just 14 percent.
Zeldin unsurprisingly has an overall poor voting track record, as scored by the League of Conservation Voters. “Trump made his anti–climate action, anti-environment agenda very clear during his first term and again during his 2024 campaign. During the confirmation process, we would challenge Lee Zeldin to show how he would be better than Trump’s campaign promises or his own failing 14 percent environmental score if he wants to be charged with protecting the air we breathe, the water we drink, and finding solutions to climate change,” Tiernan Sittenfeld, LCV’s senior vice president for government affairs, said in a statement.
He supported a few conservation efforts for his district.
While in Congress, Zeldin backed several conservation initiatives for his district in Long Island. According to the campaign website for his gubernatorial run, he helped save Plum Island—a tiny island off the eastern tip of Long Island—by securing repeal of a 2008 law requiring it to be sold to the highest bidder. He also worked with the Army Corps of Engineers to “protect our coastlines, advancing the ambitious Fire Island to Montauk Point project,” a climate resiliency coastal risk reduction project to help safeguard Long Island’s prized beaches.
He appears to be against clean energy funding and tried to gut public transit funding in New York.
In addition to voting against the IRA and its massive clean energy investments, Zeldin early on in his political career attempted to divert funding away from clean energy programs in New York and undermine the New York City area’s transit system, according to Environmental Advocates NY. The New York environmental organization bestowed its “Oil Slick” award in 2011 on Zeldin, a rookie state senator at the time who led an effort to try to weaken public transit. He sponsored a bill that would have defunded the MTA, resulted in service cuts and fare increases, and discouraged public transit use. The bill would have also diverted $100 million away from clean energy programs to “plug holes in MTA’s finances.”

5 for the fic asks, good loser of course
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [good loser]? Answer it now!
i just want someone to talk to me about that fic, and find out if they noticed some of the things i put into it? i put a lot of care into it, a lot of little details and choices. i did detailed outlining, so when i got reasonably far in, i was able to go back and revise my outline to try to make threads of continuity that built over the story. and i just want to talk about them, haha.
a sampling of just some of the concepts and subcurrents i put into this fic:
seventeen bending the rules
Four hours. It isn’t that long. Seventeen breaks Gohan’s watch during their basketball match, and Gohan keeps forgetting to get a new one.
“‘Four hours.’ You’re so full of shit,” Eighteen says.
17 was not ever truly sticking to the deal he made. gohan broke his watch. he frequently experienced dissociation, which means he couldn't keep a strong internal measure of time. worse, they frequently met indoors, so gohan was deprived of a major advantage (his skill in measuring time by the movement of the sun). 17 played with the time limit to test if gohan would notice and speak up about it.
18 knew, and she was furious about it. the whole situation was already triggering to her, and 18 (eng dub) likes people keeping their word. so 17 testing the boundaries there upset her.
he also at one point was like "i mean, you CAN still kill people. we can just hide that it's us. like a jack the ripper kind of thing." 17 never did (gohan was amusing enough for as long as the fight lasted) but he didn't have problems messing with the rules. to him, it was very funny that gohan was so devoted to keeping his part of the deal.
eighteen's problem with the deal
“I’ll sweeten the game. You like protecting these humans, right? I’ll promise not to kill anyone for a few days.” / Eighteen is suddenly right beside her partner. “What. You’re kidding.”
Eighteen’s lip curled. “You don’t even fight back.”
“You’re not even any fun like this. I don’t get what he’s thinking. And you’re so pathetic, you just let him do it.”
“You’re pathetic. This is happening because of you.”
“Stop! You're my brother. You’re not supposed to be like those men!”
i hope this one became clear by the end, but gohan was never able to have access to this information (by the time it came out, he was tipping into a dissociative rage), so i couldn't make it explicit.
i tried as best as i could to show that 18 was triggered because she had (in her forgotten prior life) dealt with threats of sexual abuse. that's why she didn't get truly mad until 17 offered not to kill humans (making it coercive). but because her brother is the only person she really has in the world, she turned around and decided to blame gohan for 'letting' it happen. all her anger and disgust towards gohan was displaced horror at 17 for becoming the kind of perpetrator who had, in memories she can't fully recall, hurt her.
bulma and consent
“Huh,” Bulma says. “So, can I look?” / He can’t resist a small grin. “Would anything stop you?”
Gohan is the oldest of only two part-human, part-Saiyan hybrids in the world. Data on his health and development, Bulma told him the first time she tried to get him to have a physical, could be a guide for Trunks’s future. If there are any risks or predispositions arising from their unique heritage, better to find it in Gohan so they’d have advanced warning for Trunks. / Well. He couldn’t say no when she put it like that.
She catches him for haircuts, sometimes. He’ll be by to help with one errand or another, and she’ll complain about the disaster of a hairstyle he’s created for himself. Then she’ll make him sit down and let her work.
“Please, Bulma,” Gohan says. “Don’t read it. Not until—unless Trunks is the only one left to fight. Let me have that.” / Her lips part for a question. Her brows shadow her eyes. If she asks, he can’t refuse, not with the weight he is asking her to take on for him. / Bulma withdraws her thumb. The folder closes. / “Okay,” she says. “Okay, Gohan. I promise.”
bulma functions as both mirror and contrast for 17. through gohan's interactions with bulma, we see how gohan has given up bodily autonomy in a lot of places in his life, not just through combat and agreeing to 17's game. he lets bulma give him physicals he doesn't really want and agrees to haircuts because she wants them. (you see a similar incident in when gohan doesn't want to be given fabric for free, but lets it happen because the shopkeeper insists, before slipping the money over anyway.)
this is a symptom of the way gohan has had a lot of his sense of ownership of his body and well-being eroded. it's not really his body. it's a body, and he's in it, and he uses it to serve others. that is what he has been taught since he was a child. this is how he can be "good." it is why refusing 17's deal is unacceptable to gohan. gohan doesn't believe he has a right to feel comfortable and safe in his body if, by sacrificing that comfort and safety, he can protect someone else.
so the interactions with bulma draw that parallel out. but the difference is that when the chips are down, bulma does take "no" for an answer. when gohan does advocate for himself—when he asserts the desire to not have what happened to him disclosed until he's ready for it—bulma listens.
imagery/motifs
there are a couple images/motifs that repeat in the story
muscle/sinew/blood/bone
gohan's internal narration evokes these at several points, most significantly in the opening passage about being good at losing. The quartet of words reduces gohan's body to an assemblage of parts. instead of his body being him, his body is an abstract tool that he uses to serve others. he often evokes those three images when he is trying to remind himself that it's just a body, so it's fine if he sacrifices it for others. the most particular use of it is the end of chapter four:
Later, staring up at a cracked mirrorball that no longer spins, Gohan tries to imagine what it would feel like to have your body and mind taken apart and remade to someone else’s design. To be normal one day, and something else the next, and to never be able to go back. He feels only the sinew and muscle stretched across his own bones, the blood running through them to the rhythm of his still-beating heart. All this body’s familiar aches.
here, gohan gets close to but fails to recognize that what happened to 17 also happened to him. his body and mind were taken apart and remade. he was normal one day, and something else the next, and he could never go back. the quartet of words, which have already been used to evoke how gohan uses his body as a tool, are meant to answer the question without gohan knowing he's answering it.
super saiyan/ki words vs android/energy words
toriyama handed me this one on a platter.
super saiyan is consistently evoked with fire, which is both a danger and protection against the cold. using fire for super saiyan is supposed to set up the 'lightning' imagery of gohan getting close to but never quite hitting ssj2. it also combines with evoking the oozaru/great ape, which gohan does at several points for himself and trunks. the great ape is specifically an evocation of saiyan culture, which gohan is disconnected from and cannot pass down to trunks. these both tie into the description of ki as being like a flame—they're all images around vibrancy and life.
the androids have blue eyes and no detectable ki. gohan refers to himself as using ki blasts, but he talks about the androids as using energy blasts. their eyes are always cold, and their bodies are always evoking an absence of heat. it is what makes the actual heat of their bodies so jarring to gohan: it's heat where his spiritual senses tell him there shouldn't be. it also lets their coldness juxtapose the flame that gohan was given by the people he loved (the anger from their deaths) that he then gives to trunks.
it stands as a final contrast to bulma's eyes, which are also blue, but they're a depth (the ocean) instead of a cold, cruel absence.
there are some other motifs that show up, but those are the big ticket ones!
gohan's use of language
harsh vs ornate language
Gohan clenches his fists until he feels blood. /vs/ Gohan stands in shattered concrete, still wreathed in the rage that Vegeta once believed would be the salvation of his people.
Faster than Gohan can react, Seventeen is in Gohan’s face and has his arm in hand. In a flare of gold, Gohan yanks out of Seventeen’s grip and away from him. /vs/ Super Saiyan catches on the rising wave of his ki and sears right through him, the beacon-bright apotheosis of a dead race.
gohan has read a lot of fancy books in his life, but most of the prose doesn't show that. in a lot of the scenes, especially the ones with the androids, gohan uses a lot of really direct, blunt language in his narration. but then these little flourishes of formality and poetry slip out.
i was interested in how gohan uses "ore" in future timeline but not in main timeline. i thought it would be interesting to understand it as gohan emulating the mannerisms of his dead heroes (most of the z-warriors are "ore" users) to try to keep them alive by embodying them. he's also just worn down, so even his internal narration is pretty worn down and to-the-point. but he still has this appreciation for life and beauty, and it comes out of him, especially for things he finds sacred (nature, the gift of super saiyan).
2. blunt, truncated vs flowing speech
“I don’t know,” Gohan says. “Maybe. I don’t keep track.” & “I’m not going to talk about this.” /vs/ “It’s good to be informed, Bulma. Weren’t you the one who said you wanted to see Frieza before he blew the planet up?”
similarly, gohan talks very differently to the androids vs anyone else. gohan's quite blunt, aggressive, and truncated with the androids. this is not his most natural speech pattern. when he talks to bulma, trunks, or even just other non-androids, he uses longer and more flowing sentences, because he is more at ease and in himself.
3. sparse sensory awareness in urban spaces/combat situations vs embodied sensory experience in natural spaces
He stays lying back on the sticky fake leather of the abandoned booth, muted lights above him and his cut up shirt on the ground at his side. /vs/ Then, Gohan inhales the wasteland winds, cool and clean and familiar. Then, his eyes set on the sapphire horizon and his bruised skin takes warmth from the morning sun. Birds call out for each other, for warning, for the pleasure of the song, and a wolf joins its howls to the chorus.
similarly, he is significantly more at ease and in his own body in the natural world vs the urban world. 17 and gohan both have "territories" in this fic: 17 will be a park ranger in another life, but growing up, he was a delinquent city boy. cities are his domain. gohan is a country boy and feels most at home in nature.
when gohan is with 17 and in urban spaces, gohan picks up on fewer sensory elements. he's less present in his body except as something to fight with and has much less appreciation for any beauty in the world around him. his sensory experience is pared down to whatever he has to take in to handle the active threat; any other details are extraneous distractions that could get him killed.
but when gohan is in nature, in his home territory, he allows in more sensory details. nature is where he feels most comfortable and at home, and it's a source of rejuvenation and strength for him, so he pays significantly more attention to what's happening in it. it's part of what makes chapter 4 so unique: it's the only time he meets 17 on his home turf.
the ghost quartet
while all the dead z fighters are "the sacred dead" to gohan, people whose deaths have an almost religious significance in his understanding of himself and his role in the world, gohan has four major ghosts that he evokes: piccolo, vegeta, krillin, and goku. each of them has a specific function.
gohan needs ghosts. gohan is someone very driven by his value system, and his value is very relational. he wants to be a good son, a good friend, a good student—in another timeline, a good brother, husband, father. being good in relation to others is extremely important to him. it's why he's so respectful to the elder he meets on the bus, and it's why he makes a point of bowing to 18 as his sparring partner, even though he doesn't respect her as a person. this is what keeps him in integrity with himself.
but in this timeline, most of the people he wants to be good in relation to are dead. all of the people he models himself after for heroism and bravery are gone. so he summons them up as ghosts, and all of them work differently.
piccolo: mentorship
Gohan recites a litany of dead friends, doesn’t let his fighting stance falter. Piccolo would never tolerate a lapse.
Piccolo would have never put up with him walking into enemy territory outmatched and uncertain without even having a contingency.
He puts his hands back in ready position, just like Piccolo taught him, to catch or deflect any strike.
Piccolo would have snapped at Gohan for the defiance, or maybe hit him with his eye lasers. Not that it ever stopped Gohan.
piccolo, as gohan's only active teacher (he learned from others but not directly in this timeline), is the person gohan calls on when reminding himself how he's supposed to act in a fight. piccolo tells him not to lower his guard, to stay strong and watch his back. gohan also evokes piccolo when he is trying to understand how he should act as a mentor to trunks. he evokes piccolo's memory to help himself stay sharp and so he can try to emulate the practicality and intelligence that piccolo modelled.
But it’s food. He shouldn’t be a spoiled brat about food.
Spoiled brat. You can still fight. Get up.
gohan also uses piccolo against himself subconsciously. without being aware of it, gohan uses piccolo calling him a "spoiled brat" to shame himself into doing things he doesn't want to.
2. krillin: compassion
He bends down to their level and smiles like his father and Krillin used to smile at him, like how Gohan used to wish all adults would.
Just hold on, Gohan, Krillin said to him. We can make it through this.
Placing his palms together, Gohan bows like Krillin taught him to on that long trip to Namek.
in this timeline, gohan has fought beside krillin more than anyone else. in both the saiyan and namek sagas, krillin looked out for gohan, including following him into every fight, even though krillin didn't want to join the battle. krillin never let gohan be alone and always showed courage in the face of horror.
gohan summons krillin's ghost much more rarely than vegeta and piccolo because while gohan uses vegeta and piccolo to scold himself into doing what he has to, krillin is a voice of compassion. when you are in a terrible situation and you can't leave, compassion can be agonizing, because it invites you to become in touch with your feelings. that means you have to feel the pain you're experiencing instead of shoving it aside.
but compassion also gives you the courage to keep going. and krillin's compassion is a virtue that gohan wants to show to others. it is a major value he holds onto.
3. vegeta: understanding
Ties are a weakness, Vegeta once told him, and Gohan should better guard himself against the danger they pose in battle. Gohan had disagreed with him then, vehemently. He still does, in most ways. / But these days, Gohan thinks he understands what Vegeta meant.
You’re too soft. How many times did Vegeta tell him that? Give your enemies even a hint of what they might use against you, and they will see you pay for it.
Once, Vegeta scolded him for not seeking outlets. You are Saiyan. Your blood needs battle as your stomach needs food.
Vegeta would call him pathetic right now. The idea is a comfort he takes with him as he cuts his thoughts adrift.
vegeta is a particularly strange case, because vegeta is someone gohan has fought beside, but he's also someone gohan has fought against. at several points, gohan evokes vegeta's ghost to argue with it: vegeta's ideology is something he can oppose to affirm his own values to himself.
but gohan is also experiencing a very strange kind of understanding of vegeta. early on, gohan calls up the memory of watching vegeta be tortured by frieza. gohan witnessed that, and he saw how frieza talked to vegeta. of all the ghosts gohan calls on, vegeta is the only one who understands what it’s like to be kept alive on the faux-affectionate whims of a monster you want so badly to beat—and you keep telling yourself you will, you keep saying you'll end it one day—but you are badly outclassed by them.
so even as vegeta is someone to argue against, vegeta is also the only person gohan can bear to think about in his deepest moments of shame. when gohan is sitting in the horror of the night club, the worst of the assaults, the one where 17 pushed the point so far that gohan could no longer pretend to himself that he was a contender and had to sit in the truth of being a victim—gohan could not bear to think of piccolo or krillin or goku. it would feel too shameful to imagine them seeing him like that.
but vegeta? vegeta knows what it's like. gohan doesn't experience shame when it comes to vegeta. he wants, so badly, for piccolo and goku and krillin to think well of him, but it's fine if vegeta sees his most shameful parts. so at that lowest moment, when he imagines vegeta calling him pathetic, he takes strength from it. one of his ghosts knows how this feels. and gohan has always seen the best in people, so he can imagine vegeta calling him pathetic when he lies down and gives up as proof that vegeta believes he is capable of keeping the fight going.
4. goku: the unreachable
“I think you’re taller than your dad now.” / “Not likely. My father was a giant.”
Three more days with his father would have meant everything.
And his father would have kept his word. Even if it was to a monster.
Then his father promised he would handle the rest.
His father walked him home.
It’s alright. He is Piccolo’s student. He is his father’s son.
Super Saiyan burns through him with a reckless heat that Piccolo would never have tolerated, that Krillin would have warned him about, Vegeta alone would have understood—and his father?—but it doesn’t matter: an android is a well of gravity, and not even Saiyan rage can escape its pull.
They killed them, and they don’t care, never have, and Gohan knows the real reason he’s the last one standing—it’d be boring, if they had no one left to play with—if he were stronger, he could have ended it, like his father would have, but there's only him left—
Gohan breathes like he saw Piccolo breathe. Like he used to put himself to sleep matching his breathing to the rise and fall of his father’s chest.
goku is the most sacred of all the sacred dead. he is three types of unreachability:
first, he is the unreachable ideal. gohan wears goku's clothing to try to take on his heroism. he repeatedly evokes goku's model of heroism, strength, and compassion as something he must strive towards. gohan strives to equal goku, but feels he falls short.
second, he is lost safety. as long as gohan's father was there, gohan knew he'd be safe. he is the safety of home and childhood, and he's the safety of a hero coming to save the day. in moments when gohan lets his guard down, he yearns for the safety he used to feel when goku was there.
finally, he is an inaccessible understanding. because goku is an unreachable ideal, there are things about his father he doesn't know. this gap leaves an ache.
Gohan stops, and he knows he does, knows it’s weak and open, that he should hide it—always the coward freezing when he needs to act—he just thought he could keep private at least that—
Gohan is a coward and a spoiled brat, and this is the best he has ever done protecting them.
What are you, a coward? Are you going to let all those people die for nothing? Get up!
but goku, like piccolo, also left a wound. in a moment of extreme desperation, goku called his son a coward to provoke him into fighting. he told him that if he didn't fight, it meant that everyone died for nothing.
like "spoiled brat," gohan calls up that wound from his father to shame himself into pushing through.
so yeah! those are a few things i put into the story. i could talk also about gohan as a bad teacher (he is doing his best, but he is modelling himself after piccolo, so he does things like starting trunks off with far too much time to try to meditate) or how gohan and 17 both enabled each other to not look at the assault for what it is (they both want to see him as a "contender," 17 because he doesn't understand what he's doing, gohan because he doesn't want to see himself as a victim), or probably lots of other things. i just... put a lot into this, and i love talking about it and seeing what people saw themselves! i tried to make it a story that would reward careful rereading.

Small Moves, Epic Change: NYC’s Remarkable Job Solutions
When it comes to relocating, small moves often require just as much attention as larger jobs. Maybe you’re moving a single piece of furniture, a few boxes, or even just a small office. Finding the right movers for small jobs in NYC can be crucial. Small moves, though seemingly straightforward, demand efficiency and precision. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you find the best options for small moves in New York City.
Understanding Small Moves
Small moves are unique. They don’t involve the complexity of a full household move but still need careful planning. Small moves in NYC typically include transferring items such as single pieces of furniture, minimal household goods, or small office equipment. According to recent data, over 25% of New Yorkers who move annually require services for small moves. This percentage highlights a significant market for mini moves within the city.
The good news is that the NYC moving market caters well to these smaller needs. Many local moving companies are specifically geared toward handling small moves efficiently. Transitioning to a new location doesn’t always mean dealing with a large-scale operation. Instead, finding the right movers for small jobs can make the process seamless and stress-free.
Why Choose Specialized Movers for Small Jobs?
Specialized movers for small jobs offer several advantages. First, they understand the intricacies involved in moving fewer items. They often use equipment tailored to handle small moves without compromising on care. According to industry statistics, moving companies that focus on small moves have a 15% higher satisfaction rate compared to those handling larger jobs. This is because these companies are experts in optimizing their processes for small-scale operations.
Moreover, specialized small move services are often more affordable. Data shows that small moving jobs can cost up to 30% less than traditional full-service moves. This cost efficiency is particularly valuable in a city like NYC, where expenses can quickly add up.
Popular NYC Companies for Small Moves
Roadway Moving: Known for their efficiency, Roadway Moving handles small jobs with a focus on customer satisfaction. They offer comprehensive services that include packing and unpacking for smaller loads.
Moishe’s Moving Systems: This company has a reputation for reliability. They cater to small moves with professional care. The company ensures your items are transported safely and efficiently.
The NYC Moving Company: Offering tailored services for mini moves. They provide competitive rates and specialized equipment for small jobs.
Jersey City Movers: Although based in Jersey City, they service NYC and are well-regarded for handling small moves with expertise and care.
NYC Small Move: This company specializes in exactly what the name suggests. They are known for affordable rates and efficient service for small-scale moves.
Finding the Right Moving Quotes
When looking for quotes for small moves, it’s essential to compare offers from different moving companies. Data from recent studies indicates that requesting at least three moving quotes can save up to 20% on overall moving costs. Many companies provide online quote systems, allowing you to easily compare prices without needing to make multiple phone calls.
Tips for a Smooth Small Move
Plan Ahead: Scheduling your move well in advance can prevent last-minute issues. Aim to book your moving company at least two weeks prior to your desired move date.
Declutter: Before moving, sort through your items. Decluttering can reduce the volume of your move, potentially lowering costs.
Pack Smart: Use high-quality packing materials to protect your belongings. Efficient packing also helps in reducing the time and cost of the move.
Communicate Clearly: Provide detailed information about what needs to be moved. Clear communication with your movers can prevent misunderstandings and ensure a smoother transition.
Exploring Local Moving Companies
For those seeking local movers, NYC has a broad range of options. Local moving companies often offer specialized services for small moves. Their proximity can enhance convenience. Many local movers also provide customized solutions to fit your specific needs.
Single Item Movers in NYC
If you’re only moving a single item, such as a piano, the search for single item movers NYC can be focused. Piano movers, in particular, require specialized skills and equipment. For example, a professional piano moving service in NYC can cost between $150 and $500, depending on the distance and piano type.
Small Moves NYC: Key Takeaways
Targeted Services: Choose movers who specialize in small moves to ensure expert handling of your items.
Competitive Rates: Many companies offer affordable options specifically for small moves, providing better value for your money.
Efficiency: Specialized small move services often complete tasks faster, making your transition smoother.
Reviews and Recommendations: Check platforms like Reddit for reviews of single item movers NYC to gauge customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, small moves in NYC require careful planning and the right expertise. By choosing movers who specialize in small jobs, you ensure a more efficient and cost-effective process. You might need mini moves, single item movers, or just a reliable local company. The options in NYC are plentiful. Armed with this information, you’re well on your way to a successful small move.

Cybersecurity Lab Game
Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog. Today, I had the opportunity to dive into the Nova Cybersecurity Lab Game, which was an eye-opening experience. This interactive game puts you in the shoes of a cybersecurity expert tasked with protecting a company from cyber threats. It focuses on aspects like identifying phishing attempts, managing software updates, and securing sensitive information.
Here's a picture of the challenges that had to be done to gain more coins for the defence against cyber-attacks. There were 3 levels, and with each, they became more complex with additional coding puzzles, diverse threat scenarios, and advanced encryption techniques, demanding more sophisticated strategies and problem-solving skills.
One key takeaway was the importance of vigilance and proactive measures in cybersecurity. The game shows how cyber threats exploit human errors, like falling for phishing scams or neglecting updates. It highlights the need for ongoing education and awareness to recognize and counter these threats effectively.
Above is another image that demonstrates a successful cyber defense against an attack which resulted in no loss of users.
Challenges
The password challenge was particularly interesting. It gave me a deeper understanding of the tricks hackers use to crack passwords, such as brute force attacks. This challenge highlighted the necessity of creating strong, unique passwords and using multi-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access.
Additionally, the coding challenge was enlightening. They demonstrated how codes and virtual mazes can be designed to keep hackers from accessing vital information, allowing only authorized personnel to navigate these defenses. This reinforced the importance of robust security protocols in protecting sensitive data.
The image above showcases a Level 2 coding challenge, illustrating the complexity of the code involved.
Overall, I found the Nova Cybersecurity Lab Game to be a great way to learn about cybersecurity. It gives practical tips on protecting digital assets, which is very helpful in today’s ever-changing digital world. Hope you enjoyed today's post and see you next week!

Glitch in the Relics Shenanigans
Hey there everybody. I'm back with FE Reader shenanigans and this time we're dwelling into the world of Knack. Gonna be quite a doozy as our heroes have more than just technology to contend with. Simple or unconventional weapons tend to be used a lot in this particular franchise. Let's get started.
Between the three iterations, Fatal Error Reader here remains mostly chill in temperament. They are still snippy and a bit snide about the situation. It leads to counter snark whenever someone says or does something stupid. Mostly and harshly at Viktor.
The entire team didn't fully trust FE Reader at first. Understandable when the human now virus had hack and emerge from Viktor's security drone. I can imagine they have a very advanced firewall to handle viruses. Something Doctor is aware of since he does have history with Viktor.
There were definitely questions when Reader says they used to be human. Ones that wouldn't have much answers since the living virus is still confused about the situation. Viktor doesn't care about it though.
The billionaire already saw FE Reader as an unwanted pest even moreso when it comes apparent that their abilities expand further than crashing programs. Doctor, Ryder, and Lucas are willing to give the virus a chance. Knack is a mesh of friendly curiosity.
FE Reader's strange abilities doesn't really faze him since he's just as abnormal. Also it is quite obvious that they have no idea about their potential powers either. Like the general freakout upon realizing virus' stomach turn out to basically be a pocket dimension when they had accidentally lost the communicator inside.
He does his best to make sure FE Reader doesn't feel alone throughout the entire journey. Even when they both accidentally find out the virus could hitch a ride inside his chest orb. It did feel weird as Knack heard FE Reader inside his head and they can partially merge with his body to assist him. (Think of the CO-OP Knack fusion from Knack 2.)
Everyone obvious freaked out when FE Reader practically became a hooded cape like shroud over Knack's upper body. His face seen inside their jaws akin to him wearing a helm, the viral upper arms entangle around the golem's own that they were now larger while the lower limbs remains normal and their body overlap his in a plasma state without obscuring the relics. It felt even more awkward speaking due to their voices being mixed together.
Doctor: Incredible... Are you two alright?
FE Knack::I- We're fine other than feeling so tingly. Like just had six straight shots of the most intense expresso/black coffee combo strong.
Ryder: That actually sounds worse than what the Doctor makes for his longer projects.
Doctor: Hey! My preference to get enough caffeine to complete my inventions isn't that bad.
Lucas: Not when it's stronger than three energy drinks. -_-
Despite the oddities between each other their kinship is very strong. Reader often storing any relics they find in their pocket space so Knack can defend himself better or communicate vocally if he's small. It isn't uncommon to see the virus napping inside the golem's chest orb, evidence being soft red data 'flakes' ebbing off it. Knack and Reader are protective of each other, moreso the latter who will share their ire if the former is mistreated.
FE Reader: Call him a pet one more time then you'll quickly find a gag sewn inside your throat and a muzzle glued to that sad excuse for a face, Viktor.
Lucas: That's much more extreme than what I had in mind. Any tips?
FE Reader is gonna be quite an influence on Lucas. They are happily willing to hear him out whether it be his ideas or opinions. Even moreso that he's part of the group decisions tends to be sidelined for his age.
Doctor documents any info that revolves around Reader's powers and mannerisms. He is given permission as the former human wants to understand their new body without accidentally hurting anyone. Although they'll pull Vargas back if he goes a bit overboard.
Ryder is there for the ride and hopefully keep things civil in the group. When it comes to FE Reader, he helps in wherever he can. Simple advice and of course warnings on what machinery is fragile to errors.
FE Reader ends up going into the Goblin Village thus separated from Lucas and Knack. Or living virus tries to keep three unarmed people alive throughout a heavily fortified fortress. Not a fun experience especially when said virus loses their temper.
When canon Fatal Error looses his temper, he takes on Critical form. More powerful, more monstrous, and even more eager to tear apart who garners his rage. Same goes for FE Reader albeit with a chaotic buckwild attitude instead.
You can sum it as a walking hurricane of viral code. They'll need to constantly feed on energy or data in order to sustain Critical mode should their rage wane enough. FE Reader will be exhausted afterwards.
They seem to have a peculiar reaction to Giant Relics or exposure to large quantities of relic energy. One such instance would be immediately going Critical just by touching the giant relic in Viktor's Mansion.
Whatever connection they may have to these particular artifacts are still unknown. It will put Fatal Error Reader and those they care about in the crossfire for those with bad intentions. Whether they be humans, goblins or something else.
It'll take more than crashing a few systems to tackle this particular threat. That won't stop this living virus from trying. It's delete or be deleted.
That's it for now! Untill next time folks, I'll see on the next expedition. Ciao!

A massive device has landed not too far from an underground facility, and has been sending large rumbles deep into the ground for weeks now. The earthquakes have been constant since.
DATA LOG FOR STRUCTURE BELOW.
The Seismic Ear is an 850 meter tall, imposing stationary automation built by the irradiated. Designed to be dropped onto a planets surface from orbit, the Seismic Ear sends destructive "Taps" into the ground using six enormous slamming weights flanking the structure. the automation then listens to the ground using the tips of these taps, to determine the distance, shape, and potentially composition of any underground structure within an average range of 1,400 km.
DEPLOYMENT:
Seismic Ears are usually stored on cargo vessels, and then dropped onto a chosen site from orbit. The shape of the six flanking pistons, plus the device atop the structure (usually airbrakes or thrusters) allows it to control its descent into the atmosphere partially, insuring it impacts face first into the ground. Usually at supersonic speeds. Once landed, the automation will begin probing the soil using instruments in the front of the central chassis. Once the local composition is determined, it will begin the "Tapping".
TAPPING:
Once a Seismic Ear is ready, they begin extending their six hammers high into the air, and then letting gravity do the rest of the work. Depending on the soil composition: The automations can deploy a tiny atomic bomb within the sensing fingers of the hammers to ensure a good Tap. They repeat this for several years to build up an accurate history of Taps.
HEARING:
After a single Tap, the structure will listen to the vibrations sent throughout the depths, and using the information provided, construct a detailed map of the underground networks. The Irradiated commonly use this to spy on underground facilities.
REPURPOSE
After the local area is mapped completely, the Seismic Ears then go into a dormant state, to act as either a Communications tower, or a landing pad for future Irradiated activities.
REMOVAL
The Seismic ear may be large and imposing from the ground, and deeply rooted within the impacted area, but for automation sizes, it's still fairly small. Some strong firepower from another similarly sized automation can easily topple such a structure, if one managed to get a hit on it, without the irradiated constantly protecting the device. usually from orbit with another long-range G-class automation.
ASSESSMENT:
Can be destroyed with persistent attacks. Damages environment around it. High value for dense materials, strong heat shielding, and advanced electronics hidden deep within.

How to Find a Trusted Ahrefs Group Buy Seller
Navigating the Maze: Finding a Trusted Ahrefs Group Buy Seller
Ahrefs, the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) powerhouse, equips users with an arsenal of tools to analyze websites, research keywords, track rankings, and gain valuable competitor insights. While coveted by SEO professionals, the subscription fees can be a barrier for some, particularly freelancers, small businesses, or those starting out. This is where Ahrefs group buys emerge, offering a potentially cost-effective alternative. However, navigating the world of group buys requires caution, as not all sellers are created equal. This guide equips you with the knowledge to find a trusted Ahrefs group buy seller, allowing you to access these powerful tools without compromising security or reliability.
The Allure of Ahrefs Group Buys
Ahrefs group buys operate on a simple principle: multiple users share the cost of a single Ahrefs subscription. This can significantly reduce the financial burden, making Ahrefs' comprehensive toolkit more accessible. But the benefits go beyond affordability:
Collaboration: Agencies or teams working on SEO projects can benefit from shared access, fostering streamlined workflows and efficient communication.
Regular Updates: Reputable group buy sellers ensure access to the latest Ahrefs features and updates, keeping you equipped with cutting-edge tools.
The Buyer Beware Approach: Potential Risks
Before diving headfirst into the world of Ahrefs group buys, it's crucial to acknowledge the potential downsides:
Security Concerns: Sharing account credentials with a third-party seller can pose a security risk. Meticulously research the provider's reputation and security practices.
Unreliable Access: Some sellers might offer unstable access due to account suspension or limitations imposed by Ahrefs.
Limited Usage: Certain group buys may restrict daily or monthly usage limits for specific tools to maintain fairness among users.
Ethical Considerations: Ahrefs frowns upon unauthorized account sharing. Consider supporting their development by opting for an official subscription if financially viable.
Finding the Trustworthy Seller: Essential Criteria
With the potential drawbacks in mind, here's how to identify a trusted Ahrefs group buy seller:
Reputation is Key: Start by researching the seller's track record. Look for online reviews, testimonials, and forum discussions to gauge their reliability and customer satisfaction.
Transparency Matters: A trustworthy seller will have a clear and transparent website outlining their pricing structure, terms of service, data security practices, and refund policy (if applicable).
Security First: Inquire about the seller's security measures to protect user data. Secure login protocols and two-factor authentication are strong indicators of a responsible provider.
Communication Channels: Opt for a seller with established communication channels, allowing you to reach them promptly with questions or concerns.
Going Beyond the Basics: Advanced Tips
Once you've identified a few potential sellers, take these additional steps for further verification:
Social Proof: Check if the seller maintains active social media profiles or online communities. Engagement levels and user feedback can reveal valuable insights.
Payment Methods: Opt for a seller who uses secure payment gateways like PayPal or credit card processors with buyer protection mechanisms.
Trial Periods: If available, consider a trial period to assess the quality of service and tool access before committing long-term.
FAQs: Demystifying Ahrefs Group Buy Sellers
What are some red flags to look out for when choosing a seller?
Be wary of sellers offering unrealistically low prices, vague terms of service, or limited communication channels.
Is it possible to find a completely risk-free Ahrefs group buy?
There is always an inherent risk involved in using a group buy service. However, by following the outlined tips and conducting thorough research, you can significantly minimize these risks.
What are some alternatives to Ahrefs group buys?
Several free and paid SEO tools offer varying functionalities. Explore options like Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz before committing to a group buy.
Can I get banned from Ahrefs for using a group buy?
Ahrefs can potentially suspend your account if they detect unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
What are the long-term implications of using a group buy?
Using a group buy for an extended period might hinder your ability to access the full benefits of an official subscription, such as dedicated customer support or priority access to new features.
Conclusion
Ahrefs group buys present a potentially cost-effective way to leverage powerful SEO tools. However, approaching them with caution and due diligence is crucial. By following the outlined strategies and prioritizing security and transparency, you can increase your chances of finding a reliable seller who who can provide access to Ahrefs' tools without compromising your data or hindering your SEO efforts. Remember, the ideal scenario involves striking a balance between affordability and peace of mind. Here are some additional considerations:
Official Ahrefs Subscription vs. Group Buy: If your budget allows, weigh the long-term benefits of an official Ahrefs subscription. Direct support from Ahrefs, access to all features without limitations, and a lower risk of account suspension are valuable advantages.
Alternative SEO Tools: Explore free or paid alternatives like Ubersuggest, KWFinder, or Moz Pro. Depending on your specific needs, these tools might offer a good balance of functionality and cost.
Building Your Case for an Official Subscription: If you work within an organization, consider presenting a well-researched case for acquiring an official Ahrefs subscription. Highlight the long-term ROI (Return on Investment) potential and how Ahrefs can enhance your SEO efforts.
Ultimately, the decision to use an Ahrefs group buy rests on your individual needs and risk tolerance. By carefully evaluating the options and prioritizing security, you can make an informed choice that empowers your SEO journey.

10 Best Practices and Disciplines When Trading in the Global Market
Trading in the global market can be both exciting and profitable, but it requires a solid approach and disciplined strategies. Whether you're new to trading or looking to refine your skills, these best practices can help you navigate the complexities of the market. Here are ten essential tips to help you become a successful trader.
1. Choose the Best Trading Platform
Your trading platform is your primary tool. Make sure you choose the best trading platform that offers real-time data, user-friendly interfaces, and robust analytical tools. Look for platforms that provide educational resources and responsive customer support to help you on your trading journey. The right platform can make a significant difference in your trading experience by providing reliable and fast execution of trades, which is crucial for seizing opportunities in volatile markets.
2. Master Forex Trading
Forex trading can be highly profitable if you know what you're doing. Start by learning the basics, such as understanding currency pairs, market hours, and the factors that influence currency prices. Then delve into advanced strategies like technical analysis and risk management. Stay updated with the latest trends and use reliable sources to get your information. Always aim to be the best Forex trading expert by continuously improving your skills. Practice with a demo account before committing real money to refine your strategies without financial risk.
3. Diversify Your Investments
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Spread your investments across different asset classes such as stocks, commodities, and Forex. Diversification helps mitigate risks and can lead to more stable returns over time. By investing in a variety of assets, you reduce the impact of a poor-performing investment on your overall portfolio. This strategy helps balance the risk and rewards, providing a more consistent growth trajectory.
4. Keep Up with Market News
Staying informed is crucial. Regularly read financial news, follow economic reports, and pay attention to global events that could impact the markets. This knowledge will help you make informed decisions and anticipate market movements. Utilize reliable news sources and economic calendars to stay ahead of market trends. Understanding the broader economic context can help you predict how markets will react to news and events, giving you an edge in your trading decisions.
5. Practice Risk Management
Effective risk management is key to long-term success. Set stop-loss orders to limit potential losses and avoid over-leveraging your trades. Determine how much of your capital you are willing to risk on each trade and stick to that limit. This practice helps you manage your trades more effectively and protects your portfolio from significant losses. Always remember that protecting your capital is more important than chasing profits.
6. Develop a Trading Plan
Having a well-defined trading plan is essential. Outline your trading goals, risk tolerance, and strategies. A solid plan keeps you focused and helps prevent emotional trading decisions that can lead to losses. Your trading plan should include criteria for entering and exiting trades, risk management techniques, and a schedule for reviewing and adjusting your strategy. Regularly updating your plan based on performance and market conditions can help you stay on track toward your trading goals.
7. Continuously Educate Yourself
The trading world is always evolving. Take advantage of online courses, webinars, and workshops to stay updated on the latest strategies and tools. Continuous learning is crucial to adapting to new market conditions and improving your trading skills. Stay curious and proactive in seeking out new knowledge. Join trading communities and forums to exchange ideas and learn from experienced traders. This ongoing education helps you stay competitive and informed.
8. Use Technical Analysis
Technical analysis involves studying price charts and using indicators to predict future market movements. Learn to use tools like moving averages, Relative Strength Index (RSI), and Bollinger Bands to identify trading opportunities and make more informed decisions. By analyzing past price movements, you can identify patterns and trends that may indicate future price directions. This analytical approach provides a data-driven basis for your trading decisions, increasing your chances of success.
9. Maintain Discipline
Discipline is one of the most important traits of a successful trader. Stick to your trading plan, avoid impulsive decisions, and manage your emotions. Consistent discipline helps you stay focused and reduces the likelihood of costly mistakes. It's essential to stay patient and avoid the temptation to deviate from your plan based on short-term market movements. Keeping a cool head and following your strategy will help you achieve long-term success.
10. Evaluate Your Performance
Regularly review your trades to understand what worked and what didn’t. Keep a trading journal to track your performance, analyze your mistakes, and refine your strategies. Continuous evaluation and adjustment are key to long-term success in trading. By systematically reviewing your trades, you can identify patterns and areas for improvement, helping you become a more effective and successful trader.
Conclusion
By following these best practices and disciplines, you can improve your chances of success in the global market. Remember, choosing the best trading platform and becoming proficient in best Forex trading are just the starting points. Stay informed, manage your risks, and continuously educate yourself to stay ahead in the trading game. Happy trading!

As much as joking about the fly list was fun for some of us it's time to be serious as many have said.
One of the things I want to talk about it how the US is a master of monitoring people.
The no fly list is a tip of an iceberg, an ugly head of a hydra. It should be acknowledged talked about spread around but the issue of what even allows the list in the first place has to be acknowledged too. Quite a few people end up on it for their name, background, and how they are profiled by the government. The problem is it doesn't stop there, it can start with it but it becomes an active search and they start guzzling data on these people.
So let's talk about the problem. You are a transaction while online or using any sort of WiFi or tech. They know where you are, what you buy, the content you love, the conversations you engage in. You should be scared because you may not be a person on interest that would ever be on the list in question but that doesn't matter! You shouldn't have to be in that situation to care your in danger now too, even if you don't think they're doing anything to you they are. You can blissfully ignore it because you think your safe that's exactly what they want.
The data they gather is bought and sold and even if you aren't a us citizen. Having a presence makes you a profit for websites and ads. This might not bother some people and that's exactly what they want, it won't bother you because you can't know what they know. They know what illegal activities you may get up too, they can know the type of red flags you give off to them such as having political beliefs they find wrong or a danger. They will withhold and store all sorts of data on who you are and you'll only know if they want you to. The fly list is the part of the ice above the surface, the people they are pushed around because of data collection and they're some of the people that get to know how the government sees them. It's not blissful to not know what they think of you, it's not good at all. Our acceptance of the situation is why immigrants and even children get to be treated this way by the Us. Not enough people care and that's why they win.
The no fly list is "Your a threat list" and many on it are not. There's criminals and awful people listed but they should be the only ones on it if it was actually for protection. They don't have perfect data collection and they don't care. There are a lot of gaps and data they can't get and they're okay jumping the gun on suspecting people of things, of assuming you'll take action when you won't. It's easier for them to make guess work of who you are then to actually care. They get things wrong because they don't really know who you are just your name, they can only assume who you are and share your actions around. One wrong read on the information you put out and it can change how they label you.
This is all why it's an information war, they can see rise in them monitoring topics online through the change in politics. They learn who you dislike politically and they know how much people feel about hot topics. They're using that info to counteract the spread of change within us on the internet and it's affecting the world. They are surveying as much as they can they are making efforts far in advance to attack back.
This is why there media war on protests regarding racism or climate change, it's how we have movements against trans woman harming feminism getting pushed by politicians as well as woman being painted as to selfish to make decisions about their body and becoming laws.
Surveillance is feeding propaganda and ignoring the evil of everyone online watching you even when you think your safe is why you'll never be safe if they suddenly decide to take action against you or use you to hurt people you love. If fact you've probably given data that has hurt people either in big things I mentioned above, or even little things like someone talking online about a bad thing happening that you've helped boost or interact with that's harmed a delicate situation by making it worse for being blasted.
One time I had a conversation with people in place you might think is private online and we were discussing the origin of modern conceptions of cannibalism. It was mostly historical and talking about how settlers in the US were hypocritical about it in order to hate on natives when they were doing it themselves and way more often. That discussion within an hour after gave me targeted ads about this, it recorded it and sold that information and it was paranoia inducing and messed with my delusions. I mean how often do you get ads or content online about cannibalism? Yeah it was targeted, that's what they do all of the time. After all that I changed how I use the internet because Google, your socials, they might make you happy but they are not your friend.
This is hideous evil accepted and known by everyone. It's an evil they have made you believe is okay and made you think you've come to that conclusion alone. You did not choose to be monitored, your forced to be, and there's little that can be done when you don't stand up with everyone else against it.
You don't have privacy because the police, companies, and government they don't know you, but the problem is that they think they do and that issue is ruining lives and has been for decades, it can ruin yours too.
This is the information age and they don't see you as a person they see you as the information in the war for information. Your a tool, ammunition and at the same time they can see you as an enemy at any time and for any opinion or action you might think is right.
The no fly list shouldn't exist, but stuff like it always will as long as the internet and tech is used to monitor you and know what you do. The US government does not need to know everything about people because it isn't stopping shootings, it isn't saving families. It's hurting people, families, it's seeing enemies in Muslim children, in Jewish activists, in people who don't have a reason you can spot for being put on the list and consider a danger. You can be that person without a good reason because all of the stuff I just said is a bad reason. You don't have to be a minority to find yourself deep in shit and you shouldn't have to be a minority to be scared or care about this. You should care because it's wrong that they know anything about you or love ones, at any moment they can ruin you.
In the coming years they'll want to monitor you more then they already can. The longer we sit by the less safe everyone is by the day.
A lot of people will say that you should try to block and hide yourself online, you can! I don't think it solves the problem. To solve this issue we have to make the data collection useless either by it making not sense or by everyone becoming red flags. I don't know exactly what to purpose but if anyone has suggestions feel free.
#just to add on i know not everyone on the list is on it because of surveillance online sometimes it's just having a name or belief#still the amount of information they gather about people on the list comes from them being online or people close to them being online#the information they use to label you a threat can be miniscule like a name but it will always be more then that after the fact#it starts with your name then looking at eho you talk to and what you say#and even if it's not bad it still can go on record anyways#no fly list#US surveillance#data collection#surveillance#online monitoring#google#united states#content monitoring
