Tim was excited to try out his new camera, it was a rather old model that he found in a pawn shop, some parts looked like they were just barely functioning when he bought it but with some repairs he managed to do it would hold on, hopefully.

He went around the manor snapping a few quick photos to test out the settings, seeing that they came out a bit discolored and slightly blurry at the edges but otherwise worked quite well for its age.

He looked down at the camera to see how a picture of one of the family photos that was hanging on the wall came out, and then quickly looked down at the camera again,

There in what would be a normal if a bit blurry photo of the family stood a stranger.

The stranger looked back at him with a bright dimpled grin, he would fit right in,there in the photo with his black hair and blue eyes.

His eyes almost looked like they were gazing back at him, they held amusement, almost like he had just shared an inside joke.

Tim looked up at the photo and then back at the camera.

The boy appeared only on his camera, there was no sight of him on the photo on the wall.

He took another photo,

Then another.

That same boy appeared in the other photos that were hanging on the wall.

Tim took a step back.

There in the camera showed the boy smiling down at Bruce.

Bruce who was an infant being held in between Martha and Thomas Wayne.

The being boy looking the same age, not seeming to have aged a day between the photo with Bruce as a baby and the most recent family photo.

Tim finding the only ecto contaminated piece of technology outside of Amity Park: " Why does it glow in the dark?"

We Got More Info!!!

The newest update just came out today, and we get some more information on our girl Maps. Buckle up because this is going to be a long one.

We're diving back into Maps' abilities.

○ So it turns out Maps had designed and created her own technology to Teleport and Time Travel. Which is a crazy feat all on its own! So teleporting requires her to have some sort of line of sight and organic material. Which means it's safe to assume she can appear just about anywhere she wants. (Sort of like instant transmission)

○ Another thing about her "instan transmission" is that it only applies to herself. So there isn't much she can do in regard to teleporting multiple people at once. But does that include objects? I feel like this could be a downside in the long run, but I can also see the benefits.

I like that she fizzles in and out of places, like lighting. The voice changer on her helmet is a nice touch, too.

○ Her fighting style is something to be desired, though. She uses an electronic shock to attack her opponent. I was hoping to see her use some offensive/defensive styles that the Bat family could have taught. (Cough Damian cough)

I definitely wanted to see another set of her abilities outside of just her device. But just seeing her in action was nice. Maybe once the real fight starts, we'll see more of her defense.

Another thing I noticed was a lack of a mask. I'm not sure how safe it is to not be wearing a mask without her helmet. I guess it's not a big deal since she introduced herself using her real name from the beginning.

But I doubt she does this in the future, Batman must not have been her mentor if this was allowed.

○ The time traveling isn't really explained much in the chapter, but what we do know is that it's only got a limited time frame, in each time period.

Referring back to that time, when she got that little notification on her device.

We're not sure what the "specific limit" is, but it's safe to assume it's not long. On top of her limited time remaining in the past/future. She probably won't give out much information about her future and how she became Meridian.

I've said this before, but I hope Maps gets her own issue about her journey of becoming Meridian. That would be so hyped!

All I'm all, I love the amount of "screen time" Maps is getting in this chapter. Hopefully, we'll get more action in the last chapter.

Time Traveling - First Meeting

I've developed the ability to detect time travelers a few years ago. They're usually dressed a bit wrong, whether it be the style or color, they seem to get it slightly wrong every time.

From what I've picked up, they have an odd set of time rules that keeps them from going further back than their previous jumps unless its during their lifetime. Some will send objects to their previous selves, could be future selves, I'm never sure. I always hold onto the objects that they give me, never really showing it to anybody, but I do keep them.

I'm pretty sure they talk about me, which feels kinda weird. After the first few visits they all knew me by name, using me as an information base and a sort of bank of objects. I've never had a proper conversation with any of them, that is until she came along.

She fell asleep at my kitchen table waiting for me to get home, not too odd of an occurance all things considered. I gently shook her awake, "Hey, I'm back."

She startled awake, eyes widening wildly when she saw me, "Whoa. They weren't kidding. Uhm uh, hello. It's nice to finally meet you, Lady Marigold." She held out her hand in a gesture I've learned to be their greeting sign.

"Greetings traveler," I take her hand, shaking it with both of mine, "what would your name be?"

She blushed, "Juniper. I come from the future where my friends talk much about you."

"Good things I hope," I smile, pulling away and inspecting my guest.

She's dressed in a somewhat odd style, different from her traveling peers. Firstly, she wears pants, something simply unheard of for women in my age, but I have seen plenty of women in pants. What's odd about her is the construction of them, pockets lining the length of them, clearly full of objects. Her boots are unique, clearly weathered black leather with what appears to be a rubber sole. And the most unique out of all of this is her shirt, which suspiciously resembled something I may see in 50 years or less.

"Yes, of course. All good and wonderful things. They speak very highly of you my lady." Juniper stands awkwardly, slightly taller than myself.

I smiled, "Those boys are always trying to flirt with me, they clearly don't understanding my tastes. However, we are not here to talk about them. What are you here for, dear?"

Juniper's eyes widened, "I- I'm uh- I'm just here to talk, or maybe go somewhere with you. I'm understanding that was a bad idea now." She bowed an apology.

"Oh? Nobody has ever come to talk. Sounds like it could be fun."

If we remember the 1st trailer, that was a huge spoiler from the whole Part 1 of the whole novel. As we can see, Jom is from the present time. He is an architect sent to Chiang Mai to modify an old house where he also had his accident. He next woke up to 1927 which was Khun Yai's era (I won't discuss which era they live, we will watch the series together) in Chiang Mai BUT after the wormhole is done with his time in 1928, instead of going home, he will be traveling to another time, Ayutthaya period (beginning of Part 2), where Khun Yai also exists but as a commander and a different person than Khun Yai in Part 1. Part 2 will also explain Khun Yai's behavior that could not be explained in Part 1.

To clarify, we have 3 eras. Present, 1927-1928 & Ayutthaya period where we (and Jom) will be witnessing the different Khun Yai's in each lifetime.

Now, this is a happy ending because after Part 2, Jom will be sent home to the present time, there will still be a little bit more things that will happen to resolve everything in the present time but once he goes back, he will be meeting another version of Khun Yai who has the heart of Part 1 & Part 2 towards Jom. So don't worry, it will not be like your Scarlet Heart, Mr. Queen or Rooftop Prince and whatever is in your mind.

What's the possibility why it won't be a happy ending?

Obviously, it will have a happy ending 100% based on the novel but the only reason why it probably won't is because there's a huge possibility that Deehup is preparing a S2 for this series.

Analyzing P'Boss explanation, it looks like they will be ending the series only with Part 1 and will return with Part 2. Since he mentioned the older era will be an easter egg, there's a chance that they won't be covering it for this season. Besides, 12 episodes doesn't look like it's enough to cover the whole 2 parts of the story. So we might expect that the ending of the series will be a cliffhanger but that's only my analysis based off P'Boss interview, you may interpret it based on your own belief.

In my opinion, I do hope we'll get 2 seasons. Part 2's quite complicated, it will need a lot of preparation.

Among Deehup's works, I read Lovely Writer & I Feel You Linger In The Air (still reading 🥲). I would really enjoy discussing the novels (LWTS & KaoUp too). I'm also watching Step by Step, sadly there's no novel translation yet. In the future I might keep talking about IFYLITA here.
