I’m watching Homicide for the first time. Very into his whole deal.

And whatever is happening with them.

You know Homicide is objectively a great and often serious show but every now and again it's also batshit silly (affectionate).

Like wdym Pembleton seductively blows smoke in Bayliss face cause Bayliss is trying to quit. And Howard is only trying to quit smoking cause she sleeping with Danvers who is apparently mad talented in the bedroom.

Like wdym the Bayliss has sex in a coffin

Like wdym the one weekend Howard goes home there is a murder in her small town.

Like wdym Lewis is so bad at driving he hits the back of MEs van and which sends baylis to the hospital.

Like wdym the same episode that very seriously and heavily implies that Munch killed someone in revenge is also the episode where he has a naked picture hung (pun intended) in a gallery by an ex-girlfriend.

The fun things about rewatching a show you haven't watched in approximately 20 years is that you only remember some parts, but others are complete surprises.

Yes, this about "Homicide". I just rewatched "Cradle to Grave" and while I remembered the investigation into the Congressman's phony kidnapping story, I forgot how it ended (for the episode, anyway) with Pembleton resigning because the Deputy Commissioner doesn't have his back.

And then Bayliss coming to talk to Pembleton at the grocery store and saying he can't quit he is his partner and they are best friends. (Pembleton, of course, doesn't have best friends.)

God, I remembered their relationship was good, but I forgot how good!

Honestly, that last sentence can apply to "Homicide" as a aeries. Really digging this rewatch so far.
