UMMMMM the fact that Kyle Secor has started posting his own fanfic about Bayliss post-movie and he wrote Meldrick picking Tim up from prison and taking him to Mike's place is making me full on cry

I do wish they'd talked more about the actual episode. Did Kyle spill the coffee on purpose because that's what Bayliss would have done, awkward baby moose that he was, or was that Kyle being genuinely flustered pretending to flirt with the pretty guest actor? (I take it he and Clark Johnson were both single at this time.)
But it's still a great podcast episode. It has:
- Kyle's daughter Emory
- Ned Beatty being absolutely unhinged
- Daniel Baldwin maybe purchasing cocaine, perhaps from the Baltimore PD?
- Writers disrespected
- Reed cannot pronounce words (probably in that way that means he's read them many times but not said them out loud)
- Lord Byron referenced; Kyle is such a dorky theater kid
Never mentioned: Santa Claus. This is a summer episode that features an attempted murderer in a Santa costume; no one brings it up.
P.S. of course I understood the Jim Irsay reference. I live in Indianapolis.

I recently started rewatching "Homicide: Life on the Street" on Peacock. It was really the first TV drama that I ever watched. I think I started watching it in its fourth season, when I was in eighth grade.
I haven't really seen it two decades or so (it didn't stream for a long time because of music rights issues) and I was wondering how it would hold up. Three decades have passed since it premiered. Half of the first season cast is now dead.
And it's still one of the best damn things I've ever seen. The fifth episode, "Three Men and Adena", is honestly still the best dramatic acting I've seen on TV courtesy of Andre Braugher, Kyle Secor, and Moses Gunn.
So there's a good chance this might be a thing I start mentioning in my blog occasionally. If you've never seen it (and there's a good chance you haven't, since most of my mutuals were born in 2002...) and you want to get into a kickass 122 episode-long cop drama from the 1990s, well here you go...

Babies. I miss them. I wish Homicide would have been like L&O and lasted for decades so we got so much more of them.
My plan is to eventually do a long post on both characters separately and their partnership together. They make me want to write, and that's a good thing.
And I know my intention was to do more than this for Andre, but it's been a typical crazy week.
So I will leave you with Frank and Tim, may the rest of anyone's week be a blessing.
Andre being gone a year now has left a hole in Hollywood.
