elphaba and nessa's mother (melena) and their legal father (frexspar) were in a polycule with a man named turtle heart (implied to be nessarose's biological father)

elphaba is intersex

frexspar is a priest of unionism, a major monotheistic religion in oz that worships an entity called the unnamed god

elphaba and nessa have a younger brother called shell (who if i remember correctly is a pretty terrible person)

the wizard is a racist, authoritarian ruler

nessarose can walk but has no arms

nessarose becomes a religious zealot when she rules munchkinland. she uses magic but calls it "performing miracles"

fiyero has a wife, whom he cheats on with elphaba

I feel like with Boq being so close with Crope and Tibbett, them being together could go one of 2 ways.

Either he had no idea they were dating and was completely oblivious

Or he knew before they did.

I need an AU where Tibbett is actually Tip. Ozma Tippetarius. Because tHE NAMES ARE TOO SIMILAR.

The ages seem to line up right. Either someone close to the royal family stole away the true heir before they could be assassinated and changed them to hide them, or the Wizard wasn’t yet ruthless enough to kill the kid and ordered them hidden instead, effectively just a normal person now. Living in the Emerald City they were supposed to rule.

This AU kind of relies on Tibbett not dying tragically, so let’s fix that, shall we? I dunno if Tibbett somehow becomes the head of a new revolution or something, dunno what this discovery means on a grander scale… I’m mostly interested in the smaller personal stuff.

Does this suddenly make it clear to Tibbett why he experiments so much with gender presentation? In a decidedly trying to figure himself out way? Does this discovery clarify how he sees himself, gender affirming-ly? Like, is he genderfluid? Or trans, in a was-supposed-to-be-cis-but-stuff-happened sort of way? Double trans? Crope says, “Does this make me bi now??”

Trans Tibbett says “I’m a woman, I was just born in the wrong body,” but then she finds out that she actually was born in the body she wanted, but SOMEbody RUINED IT for her.

Being a Book Wicked fan is truly tragic, because how can I ever begin to explain that the most developed friendship during the Shiz years was not between Elphaba and Glinda, but between Elphaba and Boq?

my hot take about wicked the book is that gregory maguire implies that tibbett loses his mind after being fucked by a Tiger (for context this is a sentient Tiger with human intelligence, definitely passes the Harkness test) and that's the worst part of the book, couldn't be me.
