HYDRA IS STILL IN THE GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE GETTING RID OF THREATS. AND THAT SCEEN WHERE BUCKY HAS HIS WINTER SOLDIER STUFF IS BECAUSE THEY GOT HIM WORKING AGAIN SOMEHOW. HIS HAIR IS LONG AGAIN. IT WAS LONG WHEN HE WAS THE WINTER SOLDIER. CUTTING HIS HAIR WAS SYMBOLIC WE ALL KNOW IT. HAVING IT LONG AGAIN MEANS SOMETHING AND I DONT LIKE WHAT IT MEANS. HE'S CONFIRMED A CONGRASS MAN GUY WHICH MEANS HE WOULD BE CLOSE TO THE GOVERNMENT AND PROBABLY STARTING TO FIGURE THINGS OUT BEFORE THEY GET TO HIM. Since we have a confirmed long-haired Bucky for Thunderbolts, I really want it to be that every time we see Bucky in a movie he's done something different to his hair. Like for Thunderbolts it's long again, so like maybe it's cut short again in the next one. Maybe grow it out past his shoulders, a buzzcut because the long hair made him see the Soldier in the mirror, something like how he wore it in the 40s just to see how it looks, tied up in a bun, him grudgingly allowing someone to braid it, just showing him trying all sorts of stuff out.

I just think it'd be a fun but of characterization for him, like he spent so long under the control of others, now he finally gets to experiment with himself and his appearance and express himself in all sorts of new ways and I just think it'd be cute

I've been thinking a lot today

And I want to give my opinion about what I think Rain Code characters smell like

(Also interested in hearing what you guys think)

Spoilers for chapter 0... and maybe chapter 5 actually

Bonus point : I tend to mistake scent and smell, so, might use both, sorry in advance

So,

Yuma : Smells like the plastic of rainboots/rain coat + faint flowery smell of the likes of roses (no specific one) or lavender

Shinigami : Smells like dusty feathers and strawberry candies, or something sweet maybe vanilla too

Aide (Fake Zilch) : While impersonating Zilch : Cologne and some faint blend of animal smells (like rodents, cat litter or dogs... maybe especially rodents). While himself : maybe cologne, and a faint smell of blood and gun powder (maybe also dirt but hmm not sure about this one)

Melami : Makeup and luxury perfumes

Pucci : Laudry mostly

Aphex : Either cologne or strong deodorant for men + faint scent of sweat

Zange : Paper/ink, and cigar and cologne

Swank : Cigar and I can't think of anything else

Yakou : Cigarettes of course, and maybe some food smell of some kind + some kind of sea smelling shampoo/shower gel

Halara : Rain coat/rain boots and maybe some catnip to attract cats + maybe sakura blossom shower gel

Fubuki : Pink rose and some type of wood like pine maybe... or cinnamon

Vivia : Ashes/dust and books/papers

Desuhiko : Depending of whether he's on a case or not. If on a case : a blend of laundry, makeup, perfume and cologne. If not on a case... Some neutral deodorant and that specific smell from clothes you wear often. You know the one? It's not stinky, it just has a distinct scent, even when clean

Priest : Wax and something else like maybe... I don't know, something strong but not agressive

The other 3 from chapter 1 (not counting the boy and his dad) : Idk. Maybe cookies or apple pie for the Servant

Seth : Dirt and a blend of flowers like daisies or something (lilac?)... Maybe daisies and lemon actually

Martina : I don't really know, perfume and something else?

Yomi : Cedar wood and leather (maybe cologne too)

Kurumi : Laundry and either vanilla or orange blossom water

The other Aetheria girls : I don't really know, I feel like Waruna would smell like a specific shampoo, (but I can’t figure out which one), maybe makeup for Yoshiko and pomegranate shower gel for Kurane

Shachi : Sweat and idk, maybe coffee, or motor oil

Ikari : The specific smell of swimming cap and stagnating water

Servan : Same as Desuhiko, the smell of clothes you wear often

Margulaw : Old wooden furnitures/antiquities + that old people smell

Iruka : Salt (for some fucking reason ???) and gunpowder or motor oil

Guillaume : Bubblegum and books/papers/cards, and rainboots/ rain coat

Dominic : Hard to explain and can be different for everyone, but, I'd say he smells like that old plushie you've had since your childhood

Fink : no idea

Huesca : Similar to the smell there is at an hospital/at the doctor

Akira (The robot guy) : The smell of a tech shop / of... you know when you open a box with your new TV/computer/phone/console/electronic device? Well, that one. And maybe tea of some kind

The Ramen Stand Owner : Well, ramen (I know there are different kinds, so like, either a blend of many kinds, or just the most basic one)

Makoto : Lavender for sure, and enigma. I don't know how to describe it, but an enigma/mystery has some kind of smell (not the words, the idea/phenomenon in itself). Or maybe it's like the mood an enigma sets, which somehow kinda transposes into a scent? Idk how to describe it... + maybe some conditioner

The previous Amaterasu CEO : Idk, rich man something, like whisky or tobacco or cologne, idk, the kind of things tou think about when you picture a CEO in your mind

Rain code sick head cannons!

Yuma (and makoto) are easily to get ill, i find it likely that Yuma was born with a health condition that could have also stunted his growth and it's why he looks so young.

Next is halara. I personally head cannon them to have the next weakest because of there family. I think halara might have some form of religious trauma from their reaction to the church. So maybe their family didnt help out with that stuff..

After that I think its vivia. We all know his family has a whole lot going on but I still think hed at the very least gone to doctors when necessary etc.

Then fubuki, despite being sheltered (sorry girly) she would of had her health looked after as the next head of the family. We also know about that tribe...

That both at the top is Yakou and Desuhiko who hardly ever get sick as they seem like the kind of people who whent out to play alot. We know desuhiko was a bit more shy in the past but I can still see him go out and his family looking after his health.

We all know yakou definitely whent outside to play with friends and was likely a rough kid. He wouldn't start fights or anything but he sure hell could handle one. Given that yakous sad experiences before his wife had never really been explored I like to think he had a good relationship with his parents.

AGAIN THESE ARE HEAD CANNONS AND IF YOU DONT AGREE THATS OKAY. Honestly halara and vivia are swapable for me but for this blog I thought it would make sense for halara so then they knows lots of medicine to help wile vivia would just suck it up ~Mod mercury

Nocturnal Detective Agency Age Headcanon

Yakou Furio: Oldest and the father figure and Chief of the Nocturnal Detective Agency. Middle-aged, but that is a pretty ambiguous age-range actually. The prequel novel focused on Yakou did say it took place more than a decade before the game, so his age could be his 30s.

Vivia Twilight: The second oldest and technically the oldest of the five younger detectives. I just think it would be funny that the most unmotivated and laziest is the oldest of the five younger detectives. He is in mid 20s.

Halara Nightmare: The third oldest and actual responsible one (as a detective). They are in their early-mid 20s.

Fubuki Clockford: The fourth oldest of the detectives and one of the younger detective group alongside Yuma and Desuhiko. She is a year older than Desuhiko, and two years older than Yuma. The ambiguity of her age would be 19 to her early 20s.

Desuhiko Thunderbolt: One of the younger members of the detectives. He seems close to Yuma’s age, yet also just a little bit older, so I imagine him to be like a year older than Yuma. So his estimated hc age would be 18-19.

Yuma Kokohead: The youngest of the Agency, and also the leader of the World Detective Organization as Number One. I actually like to believe that Yuma actually recently became Number One a few years prior to Rain Code, and has been training for the role since he was young. It wouldn’t be farfetched from Kodaka since in Danganronpa, some of the Ultimate Students were working already despite still being in high school, and Kyoko join a top neutral detective organization at the age of 13 years old. In-game, he would probably be 17-18 (like if he were in his last year of high school age).
