Frozen Delight, 1101 N Wilmot Rd #107, Tucson, AZ 85712
Fro-yo girl here. Founded in 1990, Frozen Delight is the oldest froyo shop in Tucson. The local family-owned business offers counter-serve froyo, a case of Thrifty ice cream, boba drinks, milkshakes, and churros. They have non-fat froyo, low lactose and low sugar options. Waffle cones are $1 and cake cones are free with purchase.
There are eight froyo flavors a day. Ask for samples. Toppings include nuts, marshmallows, candy, chocolate chips, granola, sprinkles, whipped cream, sauces, granola, fresh fruit, coconut, brownies, etc. Toppings are $0.95 cents. They use Taylor soft serve machines.
Froyo flavors of the day:
French vanilla
Chocolate overload
Peanut butter: fairly standard but creamy, smooth, good amount of pb flavor, fairly generous with Butterfinger topping
Creamy tart: not creamy but icier, your usual tart, moderately tangy
Butter pecan, low lactose
Strawberry lemonade, vegan
Pineapple coconut, NSA
German chocolate, NSA
Froyo prices: Small ($4.90)/ Medium ($5.95)/ Large ($8)/ Family ($14.60). It’s a better value than Pinkberry (lower price, larger portions too).
The shop looks older (like it opened in the 90’s) but clean. The décor was simple. There’s a freezer with prepacked froyo and Thrifty Ice Cream and a fridge with cold drinks. Sign up for rewards.
Frozen Delight is located in a strip mall with easy parking.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
3.5 out of 5 stars

Hazelnut Honey Nice Cream
The sunshine and warmth are finally here to linger it seems, and it's reason enough to celebrate with a frozen treat, I reckon! This quickly whipped and delicious Hazelnut Honey Nice Cream is just the thing! Happy Thursday!
Ingredients (makes about 1 cup; serves 1):
1 large Frozen Banana
1 tablespoon Hazelnut Honey (an Aromiel, a mixture of good Sologne Honey and ground hazelnuts I brought back from Chambord; or combine 3/4 tablespoon honey with 1/4 tablespoon ground hazelnuts)
2 tablespoons semi-skimmed milk
a tablespoon unsalted sunflower seeds, for garnish (optional)
Honey, for drizzling (optional)
Place Frozen Banana slices in a food processor. Add Hazelnut Honey. Process on high speed, gradually adding milk, until mixture is paler, smooth, and the texture of just-churned ice cream.
Serve Hazelnut Honey Nice Cream immediately for a soft serve, sprinkled with sunflower seeds and drizzled with honey, if desired; or freeze a couple of hours in a sealed container.

do you like MAD magazine much, Mr. Wheaton?
When I was a kid, it was my favorite thing in the world. We'd go up to the Thrifty Drugs for 10 cent ice cream, and I would go straight to the spinning rack where they kept the comics, and MAD magazine.
The irreverent humor, the satire, the unwavering commitment to mock the powerful and just have fun ... it spoke to me. I'm sure I was not the only kid in the 80s who felt like adults were so serious and boring, and MAD magazine sort of said, "Oh yeah, kid, you are so right. Adults suck and don't have any idea how to have fun. Anyway, here's Spy vs. Spy."
I remember that MAD did a parody of Stand By Me in like 1986 or early 1987, and it was just the coolest thing, ever, to see myself drawn by Mort Drucker or whoever did that.
I don't know if there is the same appetite for MAD that there was 40 years ago, but I hope that today's weird kids are finding it, or its 21st century equivalent, so they can ZORP BLATT SPROING just like we did.

You grew up in the 70s?? If yes, What was it like growing up in decade?? My parents grew up in the 70s.
When I wasn’t in school I was left to my own devices to entertain myself. I read a LOT. I played with the kids in the neighborhood. Barbies, dress-up, we played School all the time- we’d be teachers in classrooms next to each other and we’d draw up elaborate lesson plans and teach our imaginary classes. I watched tv - less than 20 channels and not necessarily always programmed to entertain kids so you got what you got. When I was in school we had to obey the teachers and it was generally considered The End Of The World if you got sent to the principal. Very strict. Just an average public school in Southern California. I spent a ton of time outside playing and just running around. Summer was the best. You had 3 whole months of total freedom. Long days outside running through sprinklers, riding bikes to thrifty’s to get ice cream, rollerskating, neighborhood hide and seek. Come home at dinnertime and sometimes after dinner go back out and play til you got called in. Adults were not really interested in what you got up to until you got in trouble and then ANY adult could or would bust you. And no parent I knew was going to take a kid’s side. And god help the kids whose teachers had to talk to their parents.
The 70s were not generally child-friendly. The stuff made for us went from fabulous (Disney & Sesame Street) to frankly weird and creepy (Lidsville). But apart from that it was a Grown Up’s World. Everybody smoked, everybody drank and LOTS of people had kids because that is just what you did even if it didn’t necessarily appeal to you. We weren’t consciously parented like people parent today. We were just kind of an afterthought, an unavoidable consequence to our parents. If you acted up or ran around in a restaurant or in public, generally misbehaved, or were disobedient you got in trouble. What in trouble looked like was different for every kid. All my parents had to do was look at me and I snapped in line. But some kids got smacked around for acting up. Nobody batted an eye. Parents were off in their world and we lived in ours. They weren’t interested in what we thought about any of it.

Chiming in from the west coast. Ice cream all year is a New England thing? Is it because we “don’t have seasons” here (we do, sometimes you just have to pay more attention)? Because I definitely have ice cream in winter. Even if it makes me colder (it does and I don’t care).
Agree there is definitely a time and place for cheap and nasty gimme it right now ice cream. I grew up on Thrifty’s and every flavor is damned near perfect. Ben and Jerry’s ain’t all that. My favorite ice cream of recent years was the short-lived but amazing Fruity Pebbles ice cream. I don’t know what was in the neon red cereal-flavored syrup swirled in it but it was a culinary masterpiece and I’m not joking.
1961 Foremost Cherry Cherie Ice Cream
#ice cream#is serious business#have you heard the good word of lychee sherbet?#that’s the kick I’m on now#speaking of sherbet#(as one does)#kroger rainbow sherbet is even better than thrifty’s#which shouldn’t be possible#and yet

(note the art is from the official Honkai Bilibili page in Chinese)
I’m a big fan of found family troupes and I just recently watch “Instant” Family.
So I had this brainrot for while now where Seele, Jing Yuan, Luocha and the Stellaron Hunter trio were turn into kids by an emanator of Aha as a prank. So now Trailblazer and Firefly are now responsible for taking care of 6 children with little recollection of their adult selves. So lets start with some general fluffy headcannons
Seele
•Seele gives wild child energy, she’s rebellious and spunky at first but she is also when to be responsible
•She probably runs around the Astral express all day without slowing down.
•She does help clean up messes especially when it her or the other children’s fault.
•She sometimes listen to the radio but gets board after a while. She often hangs out with PomPom exploring ever inch of the astral express.
•While she rarely starts fights she makes sure to finish them and she doesn’t hesitate to throw hands wether your man, woman or child. If you mess with her you better believed that she is going to get even.
•She knows how to sew and is often repairs her and the other kids clothes as she doesn’t want to spend any money as she is very thrifty. She even joins the Trailblazer sometimes in Garbage rummaging to see if she can find any spare fabrics or items she can reuse
•She loves to watch Grandpa Welt make animations all day and She is loves watching Sam all day thinking that she’s a real life superhero.
•Her favorite game is hide and seek as she can either play the part of the seeker and hunt other people down or she can use her quantum powers and disappear among the sea of butterflies to hide all day. Trailblazer and Firefly were particularly anxious when its been hours since Seele “hid” and they couldn’t find her, they even had to coax her to come out of hiding with ice cream.
• She gets along with the other five but she isn’t particularly close with any of them. She likes playing fighting games with Silver Wolf but she rather spar In real life. Blade, Kafka and Luocha unnerves her for some reason and she find Jing Yuan too lax for her liking.
•Bronya wanted to take full custody of Seele that almost led to a heated court trial under the IPC, She managed to relent and gave sole custody of Child! Seele to the astral express with the stipulation of nightly video calls. Himeko even talked with Bronya about ways to contact Sampo to see if he knows any way to reverse the Childification of the 6 children.
•Seele likes Natasha and when the trailblazer is at Belebog she often goes to Nat’s clinic and helps her with a few errands. She is an honorary member of the moles and is quite close with Pitch Dark Hook the Great. Hates Sampo guts though. She also hates how Luka teases her.
Jing Yuan
• Jing Yuan true to his title, is the sleepy kid. He sleeps alot, only ever being awake when he finds something interesting.
• He can often be found dozing in the strangest of places from The Data Bank to behind a potted plant, ever nook and cranny are Jing Yuan’s potential nap spots
•He loves playing chess and any other board games, it one of the few things he finds interesting so if you want him to be serious then just set the game and its match!
•He loves playing with cats and often tries to sneak them on the express at the expense of PomPom’s rage and Firefly’s scolding him. One time he tried to sneak in a whole lion cub, but was unfortunately caught and grounded by Firefly.
•He has very neat handwriting
• He has a strange obsession with Dan Heng, with him being Jing Yuan “Favorite” person, often sleeping in the Data Bank and helping Dan Heng organize the Bank.
•He still has lighting Lord so if at any time he or the other kids are in danger he’ll summon it.
•Him and the Trailblazer are more like brothers but you often can’t tell which is the older one based on their attitudes.
• He and Seele are ok with each other often having a distant but amicable relationship, they sometimes join forces to reel the Stellaron Trio. Him and Silverwolf often play games with him winning any game that isn’t a video game. He tried to befriend Child! Blade with little success as the latter brushes him off constantly. He disliked Luocha for constantly lying and he doesn’t trust Kafka as well.
•Fu Xuan teased him all about his new Child! Form and assert dominance as she and Jing Yuan are the same height now only to be reminded that she is still shorter because she is wearing heels.
•Yanqing fins it odd that the General is so young now but they still spar quite often, he considers calls this Jing Yuan as “Mini General”. Most of their fights often land in a draw
• Sushang and Guinafen tries to acts as the cool aunties to him as they basically drag him all over the luofu. Bailu and him become best friends as Child! Jing Yuan often helps her hide from the Alchemy commission.
•Yukong gifts Trailblazer and Firelfly some parenting tips as she knows how difficult it is to raise on child but she can only imagine how much stressful it is to raise six
•While initially the Xianzhou Luofu was in disarray over their “missing” general, Fu Xuan was able to foresee this and with the a little bit of Forgery managed to keep Jing Yuan child state as secret for now with Fu Xuan acting as the General due to Jing Yuan taking a much needed break.

Note: I’ll do the other 4 later,
This is my first ever attempt at writing and actually posting it. I wanted to thank @moonsaver for inspiring me to write, their care package series is the phenomenal and Its a recommended read.
This brainrot was also partially inspired by the BNHA ao3 fanfic “I don’t run an orphanage” by Kyodon.

❖ The Basics:
Name: Reverie Orlaith
Age: ~23-26
One good trait: Kindhearted
One bad trait: Reckless
❖ Habits:
One bad habit: Throwing herself into battle (especially to protect someone) without thinking too much further ahead.
One good habit: (Usually) very thrifty and good about spending, pretty good about planning expenditures on necessities in advance.
One habit they can’t break: Taking so many naps.
One they've broken: Eating poorly - thanks in part to Rann, she's generally eating more balanced meals - as far as their journey allows.
What they're afraid of: "Failure" - but really what she fears most of all is Rann getting hurt because of her. The godsway and dragonplague especially scare her senseless.
❖ Family:
Their parents names: Caerwyn (father), Irina (mother) (both deceased - nor does she remember them)
Their siblings names: Non-Applicable - Though most of the kids who were around her age in the Nameless Village were akin to siblings
Other relations: Non-Applicable (But again, most of the Nameless Village was like family.)
Favorite childhood memory: Playing with Srail behind the manor in the Nameless Village. She can't really recall it, but she does get a nostalgic feeling. It's where she would read, make up adventures, and share her daydreams with him.
Favorite childhood toy: A stuffed griffin Flaude gave her
Embarrassing story: Regrettably no one thought to prepare her for menstruation, (probably a case of 'surely someone else did' and 'happened a little sooner than anticipated because what even is her age?') so she woke Srail up in the middle of the night wailing, thinking she was dying. Would be pretty happy she doesn't remember that one.
Favorite family member: Flaude, Srail (using the term family loosely)
A story about that family member: When she was very young Flaude took her and Srail to Vernworth posing as a family during a festival. They ate delicious food, played games with other kids, watched street performers, and she got to ride on Flaude's shoulders. There was definitely an aspect of training going on, but for the most part it was still just a happy childhood memory. Alas, she no longer remembers this.
❖ What they prefer:
Coffee or tea? Tea - especially when Rann makes it
Showering in the day or night? Depends on how grueling the day, weather, where they're at, etc., but generally prefers them at night because they put her to sleep.
Taking baths or taking showers? Baths
Writing or reading? Both - but for writing she primarily journals
Platonic or romantic love? Oh she is absolutely a romantic, (but she deeply cherishes her platonic relationships.)
Iced tea or lemonade? Lemonade (prefers warm teas)
Ice cream or smoothies? Ice cream, preferably with fruit
Cupcakes or cake? Cupcakes! (but moreso muffins)
Beach or mountains? Mountains, though she does have a somewhat odd fascination and appreciation with the sea, it's tempered by an almost constant fear/awareness whenever near a large body of water of a very specific scenario involving ogres throwing Pawns into the brine...

thinking about the world tourism and what it means in soviet (+ post-soviet) context vs the rest of the world
so the soviet union for all it pretended to be a federation - a union, you might say - was absolutely russian empire 2.0, now with bonus totalitarianism.
and being russian empire means that there are exactly 2 (two) modern cities with architecture and culture and history worth visiting: moscow and st. petersburg. and while of course there might be some silly provincials visiting them and gawking (in moscow usually while on a business trip or study trip or something, as moscow is the center of everything as is well known), the only people that MATTER, that get in any way catered or appealed to, culturally or politically, already live in moscow and have been to st petersburg for one reason or another. (they say some people also live in st petersburg but that's mostly mythical cultural icons or something)
what does this leave for tourism?
well, russia might only have two human settlements, one real and one a mythical legend (it's true, just ask any moscowite who has ever posted an address online), but it has a lot of Majestic, Untamed Nature for humanity to conquer!
(what do you mean people already live there? well maybe they do but they haven't conquered it have they. the mountain still stands, so they are basically part of the majestic landscape)
(and of course the rest of the world outside the majestic russia (im sorry i mean the soviet union wink wink) is scary evil bourgoisie, and to even go on a business trip outside the country you must pass stringent background & ideological checks, for yourself and your entire family and friend circle. obviously)
so, the "tour" part of "tourism" does not refer to the tour guide who shows you the local landmarks and gives you a historical lecture, it refers to the thrifty local who offers to show you that path through the woods so you don't get lost. or it refers to nothing at all, and tourists just barge through everything based on maps and some compasses. or go down rivers, which is marginally more reliable. they're not the foreign-language-speaking elderly folk with cameras who stay in the nearest hotel in the big city, they're the band of filthy, tired, cheerful backpackers with whining exhausted children who raid your village grocery store, empty it of pasta, salami, tomato juice and ice cream, ask you for directions to the nearest well or water pump, then for the next landmark they're looking for (which might be right there at the end of the village or over on the next mountain because they took the wrong turn), then collectively tromp off.
theres a song about this, specific to people who do this on weekends in the nearest forest (also apparently dedicated to the time when there was only one (1) weekend) (it's about the bitter rivalry of people who do this with people who farm on their dachas in the same one weekend in the same rural area, competing for space on public transportation and local forage, including sometimes the goddamn fields / kitchen gardens being treated as forage by the damn university kids with no money and no shame)
i was one of those (the mountains kind, not the nearest forest kind) once a year throughout my childhood and adolescence, ever since I was old enough by my parents' reckoning to put a backpack on me and make me walk all day every day for a week, which was when I was five. i absolutely couldnt walk all day and bitched and moaned non stop (unfortunately in a way that made my parents think i was just being whiny and not that my feet are fucked up and i am having aches that a healthy child absolutely should not be having), but nonetheless i loved it with my whole heart immediately and next year there was a whole thing with my parents blackmailing me into doing damn near anything they asked just so they'd take me with them again. (years later, as an adult, i found out that that was the year when i suddenly started peeing my pants randomly and that my mom took me to a clinic and had it politely explained to her that it's out of stress and that she should give up on the battle to make me eat things i feel nauseous even thinking about. so that's how that happened i guess)
i... have been a tourist in the other, civilized sense like four or five times in my life. (three school-organized class trips to neighbouring countries, one study course in England where we spent most of our time on the tour bus getting immersed in the language, and maybe something else i'm forgetting)
but it's not what the word means to me and it never will
(relaxing near a body of water is not tourism. it's when your workplace gives you papers for their sanatorium so you go there for your mandatory paid time off and Rest, for your health. The Resters are not the same as The Tourists at all, as they have 0 interest in local landmarks or going anywhere beyond the nearest two blocks or the distance from the sanatorium building to the shore, they're more or less locals in the first place and go the same place every year since that's where their workplace sends them. it's specifically a different word)
(if you're keeping count, this makes 3 culturally defined ways to spend your vacation or weekend somewhere that's not your home in front of the tv: The Dacha (partial sustenance farming, leaves you more physically tired but arguably healthier, and definitely richer by all the vegetables and fruit you can grow there), The Rest (veg out at some nearby body of water, swim if you're into it, just lie there with a book cosplaying a dead fish if you aren't) and The Tourism (walk paths heretofore untrodden except by all the other tourists, don't make fires outside of places marked on your map that have remnants of previous fires already visible, play guitar badly and sing very loud in the evenings))
(visiting other human settlements (don't tell the moscowites but they do exist) and staying at hotels happens too but it's not vacation, it's Work Trips, and they can be very much competed for in local office politics even in the 99% of cases when they aren't to beyond the iron curtain)
P.S. I just want to make it clear that when I use the words "tourist" and "tourism" for this it's not a case of arbitrary translation confusing two concepts. the words in Russian and Ukrainian are "turist" and "turizm" which you can recognize as excessively literal transliterations of words that were themselves literal transliterations of "tourist" and "tourism". That is literally the words we use for this.
P.P.S. the fall of the soviet union has opened other possibilities but id say the words still mostly mean the same thing. its just that The Rest in the sense of going to a body of water has been expanded to possibly be in Egypt or France or something, and to possibly include some landmark walking (controversial within families)
P.P.S. Ukraine has never been as centralized as russia and other cities than Kyiv exist. However it is significantly smaller so it's actually realistic to have friends / relatives / business in all the major cities you want an excuse to visit, plus it has enough nature to maintain the idea of tourism as mostly a nature-visiting activity, just maybe in a car instead of on two feet with a backpack now. and you know the non-nature landmarks along the way as you pass through cities. this is a whole new thing and i dont think theres a distinct cultural reaction to it yet. I will however note that the fourth distinct way to spend your time outside of your place has coalesced: The Volunteering, which absolutely can and does take you all over the country depending on what volunteering event you sign up for. my best friend irl does this a lot and ive been to like two events like this with her and its awesome, though it does require you to have a lot of Youthful Energy and a longing to do some physical labor instead of whatever else you do all day normally. obviously involves visiting places and their landmarks, still not tourism lmao
P.P.P.S tourism in our sense is a fully gender neutral activity, and in fact a common COUPLES thing. everyone knows theres no sex in soviet union, but when there's a tent and two young people in love, well don't ask don't tell as they say amirite. (privacy is thin on the ground when young people are expected to and usually only can live with their parents until at least after they get married since that's the only way to have an apartment distributed to them from the government, or to have their parents exchange their bigger apartment for multiple smaller ones) (there is in fact a whole cultural sub-thing about all-girl groups struggling to recruit at least one boy to come with to Ensure Their Safety to their worried parents and also do manly things like split firewood and carry a marginally bigger portion of heavy things in exchange for a larger portion at mealtimes) (all-boy groups notably dont have this problem and are expected to be able to cook Tourist Porridge for themselves just fine)
also theres another song - admittedly just a couplet - about this meaning of tourism, apparently a parody/corruption of another song: "где бронепоезд не пройдет // не пролетит стальная птица // турист на пу, на пу, на пузе проползет // и ничего с ним не случится!" "where an armored train won't pass // a steel bird won't fly through // a tourist on his bell, bell, belly'll crawl // and nothing'll happen to him" so that probably gives you a bit more of an insight into the cultural attitude there XD

what is one to do during a hot summer in london?
A hot summer in London! Both delight and horror vibrate through my nerves at the prospect which has so recently come upon us. The fancy dress parties I enjoy so vividly otherwise seem a pudding-headed idea in this weather.
Rather, I am (since my return from Sussex) perfectly happy to picnic –St. James’ park provides ample space and atmosphere for it– and find ample satisfaction in walks by the river where the air is cool. A favourite day of mine to take for myself is a stroll through Hyde, in the middle of which I dip into the Serpentine. The rot some people have to say about the water is intolerable –murky, it is, but smooth and clean and followed by ice-cream, the experience in total cannot be beaten.
There are some fine restaurants I may recommend for a fine day: A favourite of mine, The Wolseley, is just fine if you wish for an alternative to The Ritz which is also on the Strand. More thrifty modern places are in abundance as you get further into SoHo –plenty on Rupert Street and more so in Chinatown. There is a rummy Vietnamese deli nearby the Lord Nelson pub (which is similarly delightful) in Southwark. Food is a great joy of mine, and London is the place for it!

The Bats & Birds and Their Favorite Ice-creams + Reasonings:
Alfred: Moose Tracks (People who say his favorite would be plain vanilla/vanilla bean are my mortal enemies. Idc if they're comic writers or whatever, Alfred is so not that guy. Moose tracks, for those who don't know, has a vanilla ice-cream base, with fudge swirls, and chocolate covered peanut butter cups. It's something fun for him, but not too "wild" if you know what I mean.)
Bruce: Rocky Road (Idk man...vibes? I hate the almonds in it but I feel like he likes almonds, like a lot? <- Random hc that is. Plus, whenever any of the others try to say, "Rocky Road? The nuts are gross, why??" Bruce can just add on, "And there's marshmallows.")
Kate: Strawberry Cheescake (This one is just a lot of association at play. Red is her accent? color and also just, her color, and pink is adjacent to red, and Kate seems like such a cheesecake elitist, sorry Kate Kane fans, I'm not retracting my truth, still love the woman, but yeah. Cheesecake is good an all, but it's definitely not my favorite thing in the world, sorry cheescake fans.)
Babs: Pistachio (....VIBES. Yeah, that's my reasoning for the most part. Also, it matches her eyes :^) Also, also, it's so fun to imagine her and Dick having these intense arguments and "wars" over "the better green ice-cream". Spoiler: Babs wins every time and she's the one who starts the conflict because for one, she finds it entertaining, two, she despises mint chocolate chip ice-cream, three, she likes drama lol.)
Dick: Mint Chocolate Chip (Specifically the green colored one. It's one of my top 5, plus, it fits his vibe in a way, it's wacky and bright. Also, it seems to be a somewhat widespread hc for him? I've come across a few fics where it is his favorite ice-cream flavor so glad I'm not alone in this. Also, I imagine he mixes together Mint Chocolate Chip, and everyone elses' favorite ice-creams in a bowl when he feels like it. It of course causes disgust, confusion, and chaos. The only ones of the others' ice-creams that are excluded are Pistachio, Vanilla Bean, and Rainbow Sherbert.)
Jason: Gelato (He strikes me as a Gelato over ice-cream guy. He likes to pick fights over it, a fellow seeker of the drama, like Babs lol. If he were to eat ice-cream ice-cream, probably Pistachio like Babs to egg on Dick for it, or Butter Pecan. I love the hc of him having like, Dad/Old man taste and this is my Dad's favorite ice-cream. Also, if anyone tries to egg on him for it, like, "You are such an old man." "Pecans? Those are gross---" he just adds on, "And carmel." I also like him being similar to Bruce in the overarching narrative way, but also in the little ways way.
Carrie: Rainbow Sherbert (IDK MAN IT’S JUST THE VIBE MATCHING IM PICKING UP. It's colorful, a little loud, a little chaotic, a little bit of a niche one, not a lot of people like it, me included, anecdotal evidence and all that jazz.)
Cass: Birthday Cake | Rocky Road | Cotton Candy (I love the hc? that Cass likes a lot of the things Bruce and or Steph like. <- Babs too, but I have a feeling Cass doesn't like Pistachio nuts for some reason? However, she also seems like a Birthday Cake ice-cream sort of gal. It's fun, it's colorful, it's an interesting contrast to her typical colors and Bat persona, and perhaps a little bit more reflective of her actual personality. When she has the time and a craving, she mixes all three ice-creams together, something she picked up from Dick, and it generally grosses out/confuses/and "angers" people. "Angers" meaning people jokingly get mad over it, like how you pick sides for mundane things and playfully, but veering toward seriously, defend it.)
Steph: Cotton Candy (Another of my personal top 5. Specifically the Thrifty brand. Peak childhood memories are of me mixing this ice cream together---its a sort of marbled thing with hot pink and a vibrant blue---to make it purple. We all know Steph's appreciation of the color and I also can just see her liking cotton candy flavored things.)
Tim: Black Cherry (Another of my top 5. Again...it's mostly for the vibes. Also, there's this really good---and I mean really good, a.k.a. it made me sob sob---fic called "cherry trees in your ribs (cherry trees in mine)" by klixxy on Ao3 that's about Tim & Dick talking about the time where Bruce "died" aka was lost in the time stream or whatever it was. It's a Tim-centric fic and the imagery is so beautiful and vivid, the line delivery makes my bones ache, and it, in my opinion, so perfectly encapsulates the relationship of being so incredibly close to a family memeber, only for something to happen that alters everything and causes that closeness, that relationship you loved and cared for, to never be quite the same. I have so much more to say about it, but this post is supposed to be about ice-cream, so if you have the time, read it and form your own opinion.)
Duke: Vanilla Bean (Are you getting tired of the "idk man...vibes match" answer? Well too bad, cuz that's also my reasoning here. Also, I love the idea of anyone bashing Duke for liking Vanilla Bean ice-cream all like, "Vanilla bean?" "That's so boringgg---" only for Duke to just, absolutely demolish them for their ice-cream flavor, no matter what it is. I'm talking, he's giving insults to these people that years down the line they still remember.)
Damian: Neapolitan (Uh...vibes. SORRY. But uh, it probably annoys him to a significant degree when the layering of all the flavors aren't evenly divided. His favorite sections, from most to least, are Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla. Damian's also probably a Vanilla Bean > Vanilla kind of person, so he has words about the vanilla ice-cream typically included in Neapolitan. Upon further consideration, maybe he'd like Matcha flavored ice-cream as well.)

Sleep hours (the previous night): 9 hours
Hello everyone!!!
MORE SLEEP. I woke up did my classes. Dad brought home Avocado Cafe and I had a egg bacon bagel with a mango smoothie. I then decided to take a nap. I slept for three more hours and I woke up at 4pm. CRAZY. How happy I am to have slept so yummily 😴. I love being home. I went to the beach with my sister and my roommate, Esther. We had so much fun. OH HOW I LOVE THE OCEAN AIR 🌊🌅. I frolicked and got my jeans very wet. We collected shells. SO MANY BRIGHT SHINY SHELLS 🐚. But the best part was that a ladybug landed on my sister 🐞. She handed it over to me and it stayed on my hand for the entire time we were at the beach. She was so beautiful. She would release her wings and then contract them again. It seemed like she was struggling to fly. I silently encouraged her. Finally, when we were about to leave she flew off into the sky🌤️. Yay I knew she could do it. That made me very happy. I went back home barefooted, feeling the ground against my feet. When I got home my parents had returned and we all had our special home shabu! My absolute all time favorite. After we went to Rite Aid and had the best ice cream of all time: Thrifty 🍫🍦🍨. I got home and facetimed a UCLA alumni. That was nice too! Afterwards we all yapped for a while. Then we had FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT 🍿🎬. Oh how I missed it. We watched half of Turtles All The Way Down but had to stop because it was so bad. Felix Mallard though 🫣🫣. Anyways now I am in bed and Esther and I started watching Doctor Slump because my mom said it was good. HAPPY HAPPY DAY.

Do you have an opinion on ice cream? If you like it, do you have any favorite flavors or recommendations?
The summer of 1981. Double Chocolate Malted Crunch from the Thrifty in Sunland, California, for 15 cents a scoop. There never was, and never will be, better ice cream.
