Let’s get real, shall we? Instagram, my previous go-to for posting pics, has officially lost its charm. It used to be a place where you could post the weirdest pics and still somehow catch someone’s attention, but now? It feels more like a cheap TikTok knockoff. If you’re not making reels, good luck getting anyone to see your posts. And when someone does interact, it’s often, well… strange.

Case in point: some guy actually asked me to prove I’m real by saying his name in an audio message, insisting on it or else „he’d report my page“. Oh no! What a tragedy! (Note the sarcasm here)

Anyways, here I am, turning to Tumblr for a fresh start. This space feels a tad more authentic. Maybe this is a better place to share my thoughts, stories, and style without feeling like I’m just another forgotten poster in a see of reels.

There is nothing magical about having to hold a candle for a soul that wallows in their darkness.

The magic comes when someone is patient with you while you put effort into walking out of it. The magic is there when you inspire someone to keep going while they put one foot in front of the other towards what they need. It’s about walking with them through it, but knowing that if they choose to take the path to hell you don’t follow them.

It’s about knowing you can’t change peoples perception of life, you can only show them the good that is here. It’s about accepting that some people will go back to their vomit and it’s not your job to pull them away from it. It’s about realizing that you have come so far in your journey that to help someone who would rather drown is not your responsibility.

You do what you can to help. When a plane is going down, you put the oxygen on yourself first before you help someone else. Never sacrifice yourself at the cost of throwing away the work you’ve put into who you have become.

Anyone else ever think about their high school years? How extremely fucked up some of our experiences have been? It's such a "brave new world" these days. Everything is NOTHING as it used to be. Today, everyone puts everything online, from their business to their holy holes. And I mean, absolutely no judgement from me at all. In my opinion, more power to em. My experience in high school wasnt the worst, but it sure as fuck wasn't the greatest. I was pregnant at 17 my senior year in high school. Soccer scouts there at the ready to sign me to the college of my choosing. But life had other plans. If there is anything i can give to anybody in their teen years, it would be the advice of "Things always get better." As cliche as it seems, it's the only thing i cling to, and the only thing I now have hope for these days. Things have been great today but I still find myself struggling still. But the most important thing is I'm still trying. Still fighting. Still doing what I need to do.

I have so many thoughts in my dome tonight. Get ready world. I may end up on a word vomit roll tonight. Apologies for my sporadic thoughts. ADHD is a motherfucker.

Baseline: Joy

Life will surprise and shock us in both the best and challenging ways. 

What was true yesterday, may no longer be real today. What is unclear or distorted today, may be our truth tomorrow. 

Wisdom comes from both the highs and the lows, the joy and the pain that this ever-changing life brings.

In the thick of the lows and the pain, I try to remain hopeful, I try to create even the smallest ounce of happiness for myself, even if it's only for a brief moment, to remind me of what joy feels like, to give me energy to keep pushing so I can get back to that feeling as a baseline for how life should feel, for how I want to feel.

If you're currently going through a low or experiencing pain, or life just doesn't look the way you want or need it to, right now, I hope you find the energy to give yourself a slice of happiness. No matter how small, and I hope that bit of happiness gives you exactly what you need to keep going.
