I almost forgot to add Thor’s facepaint to this art (Thor’s design for this au belongs to @kipcobblestone )
I’m not super proud of this, cause I drew it rn while feeling unwell but it’s Norse so please take it. Loki is the most annoying, but most cunty wine aunt that the nine realms have ever seen
Promise when I get the motivation I’ll make a bigger post about my au 😭😭 please believe me

Hey so I may just be a little gay boy on the internet but for some reason as soon as I saw Loki in some new raid shadow legends update I was kicking my feet and squeeling
Here’s some mediocre screenshots of him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only is this man for some reason enormously attractive, he’s also (from the 1 minutes I’ve seen so far) a pretty good adaptation from Norse Myth.
I mean I’m just a nerd with a hyper fixation I’m not studied in this stuff but have Lokes with the red hair, the snake motif, clearly not fully on the side of the Asgardians, but also not standing completely against them. Just being his good-old shit-stirring self.
I also have a prediction for the release order of the still unrevealed Norse Gods
Tumblr media
So obviously we have Loki, far left
Then judging by the helmet resembling wings and general pop culture knowledge the center left is Thor
Then just based on who it’d make sense to have in a fighting game, center right will be Tyr
And finally on the far right I’m positive this is Odin.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk
And yes I do have a crush on Tom Hiddleston

Some fun facts/common misconceptions about Norse Mythology:
1. Loki and Thor have no blood relation, Thor had many brothers, none of them were Loki, Loki is the child of the disguises Fárbauti while Thor is the son of Odin.
2. There is no proof that Jötunns were actually giants, based on how they were described it sounds like they're another "godly" race(?) like the Æsir and Vanir, they got with Æsir all the time, and they're never really described as looking different outside of like a couple of them being really tall but that's it.
3. Loki is not "gender fluid", at least not in the sense of what we think today. Vikings were very prideful of their masculinity, being perceived as feminine was considered horrible for a man, don't believe me? Look up what "ergi" means. Anyways, Loki in myth was described to change genders for disguising purposes and when they did the pronouns used to describe them would change, but Vikings viewed gender differently (men showing any femininity would be ridiculed), and Loki is considered a villain of Norse mythology, you aren't supposed to be like them, so like they aren't really gender fluid but it's also totally valid to see it that way if you're looking at it from today's lense, just remember it's not the original intention!!
4. Thor has little to no connection to thunder/lightning in myth, like Thor and mjölnir mean lightning but that's where it ends.
5. Loki has fathered many children and has also given birth to one.
6. There is no weird "honor" thing surrounding mjölnir where "honourable" people can lift it, there might have been a thing that prevents others from lifting it but nothing in specific gets mentioned.
7. We don't have any direct sources for Norse mythology, all we know is from texts written after Christianity took over the region.
Seven is my favourite number so that's how many facts you get xxx

My favorite moment in Epic Rap Battles of History was when Thor said "We'll flyte it out" which is not just a pun on fight and flight. It's also a reference to flyting a Norse custom of fast paced exchange of insults, usually in verse and sometimes set to music. In other words basically rapping.
In Norse Myth Thor did flyte but he wasn't as skilled as Loki which means Zeus was probably right when he said "Loki must have written your lines!"
On a side note extra points for their version of Thor being based on Norse Myths with only one reference to his Marvel counterpart "I'm the thunder down under, nailing Natalie Portman"

Loki: see you tomorrow, partner!
Thor: until tomorrow!
Freyja, cleaning up a mass trail of destruction: yeah. No, you’re not doing this again.

Mood board for the rune ❤️Raido!!!! ❤️
Associated with bright red, Thor, Odin, and Forseti. It is also associated with mugwort, the elder tree, travel and relationships and taking risks!! It is also associated with dark green malachite, and another crystal I will have to look up. It’s also associated with crows!! (Maybe ravens too? I dunno) It is also associated with the stomach, so i am assuming that it’s also associated with intuition and when we get butterflies of excitement and nervousness and that it encourages us to look past those butterflies and embrace adventure!! 🦋🧈
It’s also associated with the smell of aloe vera, which reminds me of my grandma 🥺🌸
It might sound a bit plagiaristic at the beginning of this post, but this is my source!! Yay and please let me know what your experiences with this rune are if you feel like!! 🥰🥰🥰
