I am a sporty person and so whenever I have time one thing that I would usually do is enjoy riding my motorcycle. Aside from sports, I also I love food. For me, whenever I feel stress, I would find myself doing the things I love to do. I believe that thinking positive and doing the things I love helps me to relax and enjoy. It also relieves me from stress. It works for me. 😂😊

As a student who is very grade conscious and an ordinary human being, I do encounter stress too. But I have my own WAYS ON BUSTING STRESS:
Music Music just soothes everything
Gaming Sometimes, when I’m too stressed in academics, my motto becomes “Screw life, games are better”. Playing is a perfect enjoyable waste of time, it relieves my stress
Reading Despite of my boyish habits, the inner girl of mine is unleashed whenever I read. It’s very relaxing and comfortable in feeling.
SLEEP! No stress can bother me when I’m sleeping. I think that is how it works. Isn’t it?
CUDDLES Two words; THE BEST.
Movies A good movie on a stressful week can solve everything.
Playing Rubik’s Cube Is it weird? Meh, as long as it keeps me sane during a stressful week
P.S Eating stresses me more when I’m stressed. I don’t know why. I’m not even weight conscious.

This cycle is my stress busting technique. As soon as I’m feeling down, I just eat. After I eat, I sleep and take a proper rest. When I wake up, I get the ball and play. Because ball is life, I do this all day. This is my stress busting technique. Bust it with style!

This Works for ME!
Tumblr media
The more you try to control something, the more it controls you. Free yourself, and let things take their own natural course.   - Leon Brown
I’m a very busy person, first thing in the morning is to woke up early, fix my bed, cook breakfast for my family, prepare lunchboxes, take a shower, eat and go to school. It’s very exhausting because you have to woke up early even tho your still tired and in school, I must listen and study hard in order to have passing remarks because being a Senior High school student is really hard. After school, at home, I cook again for dinner and wash the dishes then study and make homework for tomorrow. In the weekend, I help my mother in doing household chores which is a stressful experience for me. But I won’t just allow them to break me so, there are times that I must relax in order not to lose focus.
BASKETBALL
I love basketball a lot. It is a good stress reliever because I can make shots, dribble the ball and lay-up and most of all, win games. Considering basketball, it brings body stress but not mentally for me because I’m happy that I was able to crush my opponents and win lots of game, with this, I can easily forget all of my troubles and worries that’s why I avoided stress.
GAMING
Playing computer games, for me is also a stress reliever. I play computer games for great entertainment. Playing online games such as DOTA 2, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Dragon Nest and more can help me forget my problems for the mean time. Also, gaming can cool me down especially in very tiring situations like school or academics.
MUSIC
Music is very important to me, it helps me focus and meditate especially in making risky situations that causes a lot of stress. Listening to music makes me calm and I would chill out. Also, I use music to be inspired, motivated, and more. Listening to music, whether its melody and melancholy can help me understand its message, I would reflect on it and try to find answers to solve my daily problems.
MOVIES
Watching movies is a great stress reliever and second to playing computer games for entertainment. Watching movies also entertains me a lot because I can easily understand the story depending on its genre, whether its adventure, action, and many more. Also, I find movies fun and it makes me relax and stay calm. One of the best genre of movies that I like is comedy because it creates a positive feeling or vibe in the atmosphere.
FOOD
Well, for me, I think food is the BEST stress reliever because every time  that I’m stressed out, I feel hungry. So to relieve my stress, satisfying my hunger with food makes me happy and alive. Also food can be connected to my other four previous stress relievers. After playing basketball and computer games, I always end up hungry so I must eat a lot of food until I’m satisfied. Next is every time I’m listening to music and watch movies, I need to chew or eat something to make it more enjoying and stress relieving, and its a great combination and it makes me happy!

“THIS WORKS FOR ME”
These are the 5 techniques on how I bust off my stress
According to Richard Lazarus, stress is a two-way process; it involves the production of stressors by the environment, and the response of an individual subjected to these stressors. His conception regarding stress led to the theory of cognitive appraisal.

When I’m stress, I eat foods are relaxing in your body. Calling a friend, listening to music, talking to yourself through it laugh it off, drink tea, be mindful, exercise, sleep better and breathe easy.
Selye’s General Adaptation Syndrome is a model that is comprised of three elements or phases which describe the body’s response to stress:
1. Alarm Stage
In this phase, the initial reaction of the body to stress is that it labels the stressor as a threat or danger to balance, that is why it immediately activates its fight or flight response system, and releases the “stress” hormones such as adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol. These hormones enable you to perform activities that you don’t usually do.
2. Resistance Stage
After the body has responded to the stressor, it is more likely that the stress level has been eradicated, or simply reduced. What happens next to the fight or flight response is that you body’s defences become weaker, as it needs to allocate energy to the repair of damaged muscle tissues and lower the production of the stress hormones.
3. Exhaustion Stage
During this phase, the stress has been persistent for a longer period. The body starts to lose its ability to combat the stressors and reduce their harmful impact because the adaptive energy is all drained out. The exhaustion stage can be referred to as the gate towards burnout or stress overload, which can lead to health problems if not resolved immediately.

“This works for me”
This works for me because i feel better when i play my guitar and listen to a music, and also sing sometimes. I feel relieve when heard music, especially those songs that I like.
Three Phases of Stress Response (according to Hans Selye)
Hans Selye explained his stress model based on physiology and psychobiology as General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS). The General Adaptation Syndrome is a model that is comprised of three elements or phases which describe the body’s response to stress:
For instance, when one’s house is on fire, his body shifts to the alarm stage, his stress hormones released (particularly adrenaline) and then he lifts a very heavy appliance outside the burning house. But there’s a catch – your blood pressure starts to rise after a minute or less, which can predispose you to damage of the brain and heart’s blood vessels, putting you at risk to stroke or heart attack. The muscles you’ve utilized might also become painful due to tissue damage.
Although the body has shifted to this second phase of stress response, it remains on-guard, particularly when the stressors persist and the body is required to fight them continuously, although not as stronger as it could during the initial response.
If you are stress, your emotions reacts because they are connected to each other. When you encounter stress, your emotions feels better when you do such things that changes your mood to a good and better and it helps your stress’ relieve. And you’ll feel better anyway.

This works for me!
Stress is part of life. And we cannot always prevent or alter the situations that cause it – though, in the long-term we should always try.
Here are some strategies that will help:
1.) Massage is wonderful for ridding the body of tension. It's also useful for people who are unhappy. The feel and touch of someone's healing hands on your body can make you feel cared for and lift your mood.
Many beauty salons, hotels, gyms and spas offer massage. There are different types, and you can choose between something soothing or a session that's more rigorous – such as a sports or deep tissue massage.
2.) Want a break from the office? Does your house feel like an insane asylum? Slip out the door and let your feet take you somewhere. Walking in a leafy environment seems to soothe our minds. And it is undeniably good for our bodies because trees and bushes generate oxygen and soak up carbon dioxide. So, we tend to feel healthier and more energized if we can sit or walk where there are plenty of trees.
If you want to feel less stressed, try to get more fresh air by going out into the beach and enjoy the view!
3.) Other ways to improve your stress levels include listening to music you like, meeting up with friends more regularly, making time for your leisure interests and taking up some regular sport – competitive or otherwise.

This Works For Me
As a student with a lot of things to do in school and at home, I become stressed up because of some errands that needs to be done on time.In order for me to manage stress and be stress-free, here are some of my personal stress busting techniques:
1. Sleep -  sleep is an important function that benefits both body and mind. Getting too little on a regular basis can be harmful to our health. That is why when I have time to sleep, I take that as an opportunity to take a rest after a long stressful day.
2. Reflect/Meditating - Taking even 10 minutes to sit quietly and shut out the chaos around you can trigger your relaxation response. Meditating during your breaks can help you to decrease feelings of stress and anxiety even more.
3. Eat - After a stressful period the human body can go into a ‘recovery mode’ where increased appetite and food cravings become more prevalent. Being aware of these patterns can help you manage your stress levels and through nutrition and diet you can help your body recover from stressful periods more rapidly and minimize negative effects such as weight gain.
4. Exercise -  Exercise affects a neurotransmitter that has an antidepressant-like effect on your brain while helping to decrease muscle tension. Exercise also guards against the adverse physical effects of stress
5. Spend time in Nature -  Going outdoors helps to relieve your stress naturally, with research showing levels of the stress hormone cortisol lower in those who live in areas with the most green space, as are their self-reported feelings of stress.
6. Stay Connected -  Loneliness can be a major source of stress, so make a point to connect with those around you - like hanging out with your friends and go on a pool party.  The activities we do with friends help us relax. We often have a good laugh with them, which is an excellent stress reliever.
7. Stay Positive -  This is a learned technique that can lead to a more joyful life and likely much better health, as those who are optimistic have an easier time dealing with stress, and are more inclined to open themselves up for opportunities to have positive, regenerative experiences.
8. Participate in Activities I enjoy -  Engaging in a hobby gives you crucial time to play and simply enjoy yourself. A hobby can take your mind off of stress and adds more much-needed fun to your life.
9. Laugh Out Loud -  We all know laughing can put us in a better mood, but it's a better stress cure than you may realize. Having fun with friends and tell jokes about their ‘awkward moments’ in life brings so much laughter and enjoyment.  Laughter really is the best medicine.
