Back-ish.
Took a bit to finish this as Work Hell and exhaustion (and editing for format ReasonsTM)
Enjoy, and let me know if there’s anything in particular you want explored next, and i’ll see if i can add it to the list for the drabbles (the characters hijack everything so no guarantees)

Contrary to popular belief, Skulker is good at his job.
He knows how to craft a perfect trap, how to hunt virtually every type of ghost, and has succeeded every time with enough persistence. The halfa was proving an excellent challenge and reminder that hunting took time and planning.
The issue was he also knew his prey was being hunted by another, and this one’s motives were unknown. This ectopus made it clear that it intends to drown the whelp in either form, and that. That annoyed Skulker.
He followed the rules of hunting. Do not go after pregnant entities, or those capable of during their respective spawning season(s). Only hunt what is permitted. Always release your prey if they are endangered, but you may take something to commemorate the event.
Skulker’s choice was the halfa’s first pelt. He’d grow a new one in a year or so, and it would give the halfa time to acclimate to the zone rather than guarding the portal and the whole of Amity so viciously.
But this Ectopus ignored the rules of engaging with the halfa—only treat Phantom and Fenton as the same person when the “ghost hunting”parents were not around. No need to put the child at risk long term.
Halfas were extinct in the realms far longer than most were certain of, a few reigns before Pariah at least. And Skulker was well aware most of the ghosts and Neverborn he interacted with were born well into the Age of Anarchy as Ghost Writer and the record keepers were so fond of calling it.
And it was only after Pariah’s ‘sleep’ began that the liminal population declined on the Living’s side. Apparently species like Sampson’s took quite the hit, most no longer existing. Sampson was one of two Purpler Back Gorillas alive.
Understandably, the liminal gorilla was frustrated. Non-liminals failed to comprehend ghost speak, their culture was almost dead due lack of population and they were treated more like a lab rat than a person.
That was before encountering the first liminal—admittedly halfas pushed the limits of liminality—she’d found existed besides herself. The whelp’s understanding of the language was basic, but he hasn’t had his first shedding yet nor did he seem to interact with other liminals often either.
Skulker was not idiotic enough to ignore the Whelp’s need for his ghost parent’s protection. It was the issue of getting Sampson around Amity to protect the whelp from this “Taco” ectopus that was an issue.
He made sure to bring a fruit basket from the Realms, and included a shedding from a birdlike entity.
Sampson snarled until he left the offering.
“I have news about your son. He is ill,” Skulker began.
Sampson growled ill???Howexplain
“Likely the overhunting from Taco the Ectopus, as the whelp calls them, but there may be other causes. He’s rather old now to not have undergone his first shedding—don’t look at me like that we both know he is—and is experiencing soul form regression. there are those in the Realms who can help.”
Sampson beat her chest. yesHelphow?
“We need to bring him to Realm’s doctors. He may need to reside in his haunt, or require treatment of a number of things. I am not certain, but this Taco may require independent capture and containment. The doctors will know better,” Skulker admitted.
goNOW
“… yes we can go once we have the whelp—does his core have a particular sensation attached to it?”
ColdbigHugemoving
“I’ll let the doctors know when we arrive. Do you want to bring him in his small form, or one of his usual two?”
smallEasycarry
“He should be headed to the aquarium tonight, shall I set up the blob ghost perimeter?” It was the easiest way to monitor one’s prey and lire away competition… and confirm whether or not this “Taco” is targeting the whelp personally or as an ecto source.
He’s hoping the latter, but has a sinking feeling it will be the former. And he will have to hide the stupid finned brat in his prosthetic…
He should see if his girlfriend or her friends don’t mind helping him distract the intruder from the whelp.
Johnny and Kitty are rather fond of their ex. And Ember is insistent on setting up more playdates between her frightmate Youngblood and the whelp. Something about them being ‘same font different hat’ that he didn’t quite get. Oh well, if it didn’t involve animals, weapons, tactics or hunting he rarely gave it much thought in life, let alone his afterlife.
With Sampson’s (terrifying) blessing, Skulker got to work.

Let's talk about Aqua "using" Akane
So Aqua makes a very big deal about "using" Akane, but... did he actually use her at all?
I mean, he makes it quite clear that he is only keeping her close because she's useful, right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, what is Akane useful for, exactly?
Tumblr media
Aqua's entire premise is that Akane understands Ai better than he does. He can't lose Akane because she may help him figure out Ai and find out who his dad is.
But we never, ever see Aqua asking Akane questions about Ai. At the contrary, most of his time with Akane is spent either on Aqua and Akane helping each other, or on Aqua talking to Akane about himself rather than about Ai.
(Spoilers for the entire manga below the cut!)
Let's take the TB arc for example, since this is the arc where Aqua and Akane interact again. What do we see?
First, Aqua helps Akane voice her concerns about the script:
Tumblr media
Then he helps solve the disconnect between the ones in charge of the script and the original author, thus doing Akane and everyone involved a big service:
Tumblr media
Then he helps Akane win against Kana, going as far as to agree to do emotional acting in order to accomplish it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then he helps Akane draw Kana out into the spotlight:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In other words: Aqua spends the entire arc working as a team with Akane. He makes no effort to use her at all.
Tumblr media
What's more, all the occasions he had to get Akane's insight about Ai? He uses them to give Akane insight about himself instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is ironic, because we eventually find out that he even went as far as planting a GPS on her sometime after Love Now, in the off-chance Akane came in contact with the culprit. He obviously was pretty serious about making the most of Akane's deduction skills...
Tumblr media
... but how was Akane supposed to deduce anything when Aqua never gave her any info? After all, Aqua only shares that information with Akane after he thinks his revenge is over and he has no use for her anymore.
Tumblr media
Which means that, up to the point where Aqua temporarily drops his revenge plans, we don't actually see him using Akane at all.
Despite this, we still see Aqua going on and on about how he has "used" Akane.
Tumblr media
So, let's take a closer look at all the ways he has "used" Akane, shall we?
Tumblr media
• "About my father" is the simplest one, since that's what Aqua wanted to use Akane for in the first place. Except that, as we saw, things don't go quite as planned and he literally doesn't do anything to have Akane find his dad.
So yes, Aqua did intend to use Akane to find his dad, but he doesn't actually put her to use. In fact, Akane finds him all on her own by pure chance much, much later.
• "The corpse" is a very interesting one, because by Aqua's own admission, he trusted Akane's capabilities enough to think she may be able to find his corpse, and fed her information to help her achieve this.
Tumblr media
This is indeed true, except for two things. One, when Aqua starts looking for the corpse, he actually tells Akane to stay behind. She's the one that chooses to follow after him. Aqua makes it sound like Akane finding his corpse was his goal from the get-go, but his actions are at odd with his words.
Secondly, Aqua stops looking for the corpse the moment Akane suggests it may be buried, but he still takes her to Goro's house either way.
Tumblr media
Nothing he tells her about Goro is relevant to the search of his corpse. It's completely irrelevant, in fact. But Aqua still opens up to her, sharing everything about Goro, from his upbringing to his goals to his feelings.
Tumblr media
Once again, his words say one thing, but his actions tell a different story. Akane is the first person Aqua has opened up to about Goro, and he does so without any ulterior motive.
Which leads me to the way Aqua has "used" Akane:
• "And many other things."
Tumblr media
This is what Aqua means by "many other things". Ever since that day, Akane has been giving Aqua emotional support and he has come to treasure it, so much so that it "saves him little by little".
I'd even say he has come to rely on it, as his monologue later shows.
Tumblr media
Now, you may say, but isn't receiving and giving emotional support a normal part of every relationship?
And you'd be completely right! But Aqua isn't a normal guy.
Tumblr media
Aqua is guilt-ridden to the point he is in pain whenever he enjoys anything. Since the guilt he feels colors basically everything he sees, it permeates his relationship with Akane as well.
Instead of seeing all the good he has done for her, he just sees all the ways he ties her down.
Tumblr media
Instead of seeing how much of himself he has shared with her, he focuses on what he has kept from her.
Tumblr media
He is such a guilt-ridden, self-deprecating person that he even apologizes when Akane finds his corpse. As if getting murdered and not being found for 20+ years was his fault!
Akane puts it best: Aqua is always trying to carry the burden on his own, always acting like every wrong is his fault.
Tumblr media
It's no surprise then that Aqua feels guilty over allowing himself to cherish Akane's support. It's also no surprise that he tries to paint it negatively as him "using" her, because Aqua has been trying to convince himself that his relationship with Akane is a lie.
Tumblr media
If he repeats it enough, if he makes his every action about using Akane, then it will be easier for him to let go of her — even when that becomes the last thing he wants to do.
Tumblr media
This all comes to a head in Chapter 98, where we see Aqua cutting ties with Akane to keep her safe. This was the perfect time to use Akane, for real this time — but "using" Akane has become a lie that he can't keep up any longer.
Tumblr media
Akane has become too important to him. So important in fact, that leaving her side marks the moment he makes a wrong turn and gives himself into the darkness of his revenge.
Tumblr media
TL;DR Aqua did want to use Akane, but he never gets around to it. He comes to rely on her emotional support and feels so guilty for it that he sees that as "using" her. Ironically, by the time Akane becomes the perfect "tool" for him to use in his quest for revenge, she matters too much to him and he lets her go to keep her safe. In fact, Akane only makes herself "useful" to him by pure chance! lol

I am hopeful about how the anime will adapt TeruAoi
Tumblr media
Hear me out, one of the most common complaints about the writing of the manga is that Teru’s crush on Aoi doesn’t make any sense. There’s still the possibility he could like Akane instead (or the even less likely possibility he could like both), but right now it’s strongly looking like his crush is Aoi. I know, I wanted gay people too, but this is what we’re working with. There are hints throughout the manga that he likes her, but most of those come in the form of jokes where he’s trying to get a rise out of Akane. That actually provides more evidence towards him liking Akane than Aoi, since in those scenes he’s focused on how Akane is feeling rather than Aoi herself. So if AidaIro intend on us to pick up on TeruAoi, they’ve done a very poor job. I’d argue that the ship thrives off of heteronormativity, most straight readers (and even many queer ones) will automatically assume Teru likes Aoi and not Akane simply because he’s a boy and she’s a girl. It’s a reasonable assumption, queer rep still isn’t common enough to be the default. But it’s not a great basis for building an actual relationship, even a one-sided one
Look at Kou and Nene, that’s a one-sided relationship that was written well while still making it clear who we’re supposed to be rooting for. TBHK isn’t a love triangle like Twilight, we’re not meant to have equal fuel for both sides because AidaIro ultimately care that we support HanaNene. Kou and Nene have had numerous scenes building their friendship and, by extension, Kou’s feelings for her. However, most of these scenes are intercepted by HanaNene and Mitsukou moments. Their most notable ship moment, the donut scene, was used so that Nene could cheer Hanako up. This method gives Kounene plenty of buildup to where Kou’s feelings for her make sense without disrupting either of the main pairings. It’s also remedied by the fact that Kou gets another love interest fairly early on, so he’s not stuck in the role of the “second choice” for long. That was never really part of his arc but I digress
A lot of my points here are up for interpretation or preference, some fans don’t have a problem with how TeruAoi has been built up. It’s not going to be engame, so some might even say it doesn’t matter. But with Teru’s feelings for her being such a consistent thing throughout the manga, I’d say it’s fairly important that they’re set up well. It’s central to the dynamic of the Sunflower Troupe too, which is even more important. Teru’s feelings for Aoi play into the Terukane rivalry that is so integral to their dynamic, and towards motivating Teru during the Red House arc. Keep in mind, if TeruAoi were well-written, the fandom wouldn’t be so divided on whether or not Aoi is Teru’s crush
There is still the chance that it’s been kept vague for a reason and Teru is actually gay. Please AidaIro it’s not too late-
Despite the negative tone of everything you just read, I love TeruAoi. I’m content with it being canon, although I would rather have Terukane if I’m being honest. I’m a multishipper though, so I want to make it clear that I am by no means a TeruAoi hater. On the contrary, I think they have a lot of potential, and I hope the anime doesn’t waste the opportunity to explore that. So onto the actual point of this rant
Tumblr media
THIS CHAPTER. The one that somewhat salvaged TeruAoi’s lazy writing. The chapter that brought TeruAoi shippers rain after a drought. We’re going to see it animated in October. And I am going insane over that
The anime is known for being a poor adaptation of the manga, but in my opinion it has its benefits and its drawbacks. One of the biggest drawbacks is Teru, they completely cut out the arc that delves into his childhood and dynamic with Kou. We lost a lot of his characterization and he essentially became a background character. My boy deserves better than that. But the two new trailers showed a lot of Teru from what I remember (it’s impossible for me to miss my king), and I’m taking that as a sign that they’ve realized his potential as a character. We might get the Young Exorcist arc in season 2, since it’s incredibly important to Kou and Teru’s development both as characters and as a sibling dynamic. This might be wishful thinking but now that they realize people like this series and want to see more of it, maybe they’ll start doing the side characters justice
One of the good points, and this is going to be very controversial, is AoiAoi. The number one complaint I’ve seen about the anime (besides the exclusion of the Young Exorcist arc), is that they nerfed Akane. I disagree. Yes, anime Akane is nothing but a goofy looking nerd who simps for Aoi, but that’s essentially what his character was in the first few arcs of the manga. They adapted him accurately for what they covered. You could just as well complain that Aoi is nothing but Nene’s popular best friend in the anime. That’s true, but only because they haven’t gotten to the Grim Reaper arc yet. The anime notoriously didn’t get to the Clock Keepers arc, but since we’re getting that in season 2, we’ll be seeing a lot more of anime Akane soon. And I don’t think he’s going to disappoint
“But how did they do AoiAoi well if they didn’t adapt much?” I’m so glad you asked. Not many people have pointed this out, but the anime clearly favored AoiAoi in comparison to the other side characters. They added in a lot of scenes that weren’t in the manga, such as their interaction in the garden and the “I’d cut off my own head” scene. I can’t remember them adding in many other scenes, besides Yako’s backstory, so they must have wanted some fan service. The anime really leans into the romance element (for better or worse), which is where I think they could do right by TeruAoi
We’ll be getting the iconic convenience store chapter in October, before season 2 of the anime comes out. This means we’ll get a meaningful TeruAoi moment animated before any meaningful AoiAoi moments have been animated, though AoiAoi has already been setup through the first seasons of TBHK and ASHK. So anime-onlys already know Akane and Aoi have feelings for each other, but before that gets explored in a serious manner, they’ll learn that Teru also potentially has feelings for Aoi. This is good, this will put the idea in viewers heads that Teru likes Aoi before he even jokes about liking her in the main series. The first time his feelings were mentioned in the manga was during the exam chapter, and that won’t get animated until season 3 or 4. So until then, they’ll already have the concept of TeruAoi. And they’ll be introduced to that concept through a serious episode rather than a gag scene of Teru threatening Akane
This will set up the group dynamic well while still upholding AoiAoi as the one we’re supposed to root for. They were established first, and we’ll get more insight into Akane’s feelings during the Clock Keepers arc. It won’t come at the expense of AoiAoi, but we’ll be shown a more serious TeruAoi scene to build them up as competition. That will balance out the two dynamics
I’m also hoping they add in a few scenes of TeruAoi the way they did with AoiAoi. The two aren’t really friends until the Grim Reaper arc, but they could throw in a few gag scenes of Teru sucking up to Aoi the way he’s mentioned to do in the manga. A scene of him being overly friendly to her in the hallway, offering to help her carry her bag, etc. And she could still shut him down in a polite way so they don’t lose the dynamic they have in the manga. I wouldn’t want them to do too much or give more confirmation of Teru’s feelings than we get at that point in the manga, but a few filler scenes could really help to build their relationship. At the very least, it would help Teru’s feelings make sense. But I’m already very optimistic since the TeruAoi episode of ASHK is already going to give Teru’s feelings more grounding. Releasing it before the two of them interact/mention each other in the main anime is honestly the best decision they could have made. It will be pleasantly unexpected to anime-onlys who haven’t seen the characters interact before and don’t know what their relationship is in the manga
Anyways, I know a lot of people are freaking out about the anime getting a season 2 (and I understand why), but I’m trying to stay hopeful. The first season was bad, but it’s a good introduction to the series. It was how I got into tbhk, and I felt it was a good start. It was enough to get me hyperfixated after just a few episodes so it’s not THAT bad (okay, it’s kinda bad). But they still have time to fix the major mistakes they made in season 2, as long as we get the Young Exorcist arc. And either way, ASHK is going to be delightful

Hey…
It’s been a minute, hasn’t it?
I know a lot of you have probably wondered where i’ve been, and if you haven’t well here i am!
Life has been…something…good and bad.
School has been taking a toll on me, classes left and right that have blended my brain into an incoherent slush. Thats one of the unfortunate parts of collage, it just takes up so much time.
I want to list some reasons i’ve been gone, just so you all understand what’s been going on.
1.) School, like i said above, it’s just tedious and time consuming, so i never have time to actually sit down and work on something new or old. School work, projects, all of it; it’s large and extensive, and very very tiring.
2.) My relationship! I’ve had a girlfriend for almost 4 months now, and it’s been so incredibly wonderful. She’s so sweet, funny, caring, loving, and just someone that I love so much and click with so easily.
3.) Motivation. I know writers always complain about writers block and having lack of creativity to go and write, but this feels a bit different for me. Writing has been such a beautiful art to take part in, painting a canvas of stories for the world to read. I’ve loved it for so long, but now there’s just not the spark it has anymore.
In the past, i would use writing as an escape, a way to just create more and more and more ideas that formulate in my brain, wether that be smut or romance, drama or angst, it was a way for me to leave the world behind. I enjoyed every second of it, creating it, writing it, producing it, seeing you all react to it, it brought me so much joy.
But…
That love for writing has fallen away from me. I don’t find myself enjoying it anymore, it feels more like a chore to try and write a story, and that frustration killed the spark that came with writing on this platform and everywhere else.
Now, let me specify that this is not me saying that any of you ruined it for me, quite the contrary! I love love love love you all so fucking much, you’re such beautiful people who have stuck with me and will probably be amazing fanfic writers too (if you pursue it)!
So, this is my farewell!
I’ve decided to be formally done with writing, and this account will either be left as a ghost acc, or handed of to someone who will use it and make something out of it (haven’t decided on that yet, but i’ve been thinking of offering it up) If you’re interested in writing, and you want to start somewhere strong, or if you’re someone who wants the followers, DM me! I’d be happy to give this acc away to someone! (who will use it and treat it right of course)
Anyways, thank you, for giving me that beauty, that wonderful light with writing. I love you all so much, and I can’t wait to see what you will all do! Keep writing, keep reading, keep inspiring, keep doing what you do best, keep being yourself.
“Hustle in silence, let your success make the noise.”
Sincerely - Wolfi <3

I didn't really notice this before but it's interesting how in the dispute over whether Jesus is casting out demons because he himself is on the devils payroll in Matthew 12 - there's the famous bit about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit which lots of people get hung up on (and understandably so, esp if you struggle w scrupulousity and OCD - very inflammatory thing to put in the Bible @ God).
but Jesus then goes on to talk about good and bad fruits, and this line struck me: "Either make the tree out to be good and its fruit good, or make the tree out to be rotten and its fruit rotten; for the tree is known by its fruit."
you can kinda sense his frustration here. "make up your minds! either I'm doing something wrong or I'm not; can we not try to claim that I have some evil hidden ulterior motive that makes all the good things I'm doing secretly bad."
now sure, there are circumstances where people can do or support good things for bad reasons (nazis using anti Zionist sentiment as a dogwhistle; terfs making a song and dance about feminism - altho id argue neither of these groups are particularly 'doing' good things just hijacking them, but there are also just homophobic conservative churches that do run soup kitchens and food banks and yet that doesn't counterbalance the bad they do) or do bad things for what they perceive to be good reasons. but seems like what Jesus is talking about is again his old maxim of judge trees by their fruit; don't decide a priori that since X person is wrong therefore everything they do is tainted with wickedness.
blasphemy of the Holy Spirit happens when people see God at work doing good things and decide, in order to preserve their preconceived ideas about the way things are and what's good and bad, to call good evil.
and I think the reason that's an 'unforgivable' sin isn't necessarily because it's a particularly heinous one, but because it fundamentally warps your ability to interpret the actions of God. If you see God's goodness and mercy and grace at work in the world and decide well actually that's the Devil - how are you supposed to ever break out of that and truly recognise God? it's like when someone is hyped up on flat earth, creationism, anti vaxxer, protocols of the elders of Zion conspiracy theories; they've kinda destroyed their ability to even consider any alternative simply by loudly insisting any counterpoint is propaganda, any evidence to the contrary is fabricated, science itself is a hoax. blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the same; people have destroyed any external benchmark (such as the harm and suffering being created) for judging their interpretations of scripture and faith.
and I can't help but think a bit on queer christians (as usual; I need to start finding other topics to get on my soapbox about), bc when we offer the fact that gay relationships or gender transition cultivate love and joy and peace and kindness and goodness, we get very much the same answer as Jesus' critics gave. "Pff. It's the work of the Devil." People a priori reject the good and life giving things we find in queerness because they don't want to deal with the implications of that. and so we get people insisting that bad trees can bear good fruit.
now in fairness they often do try for consistency and insist that actually this good fruit is a hollow lie and truly LGBTQ people are suffering underneath from living against God's will. but I think this view is losing its power bit by bit bc people understand it's asserting ideology over reality. it's a hard sell and not an intellectually serious position. either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad

why do u hate wolfstar lmao like u saying ur getting harassed is funny as hell it’s just a ship 😭😭
For me to explain you that, I have to explain a bit of psychology.
In psychology, reactance is an unpleasant motivational reaction to offers, persons, rules, or regulations that threaten or eliminate specific behavioral freedoms. Reactance occurs when an individual feels that an agent is attempting to limit one's choice of response and/or range of alternatives.
Reactance can occur when someone is heavily pressured into accepting a certain view or attitude. Reactance can encourage an individual to adopt or strengthen a view or attitude which is indeed contrary to that which was intended — which is to say, to a response of noncompliance — and can also increase resistance to persuasion.
In crux, my hate for wolfstar stems from reactance.
Wolfstar works on the structure that it is a canonical ship because jkr was playing hide and seek and sprinkling around crumbs of clues that Remus and Sirius are boning each other. (Or should I say Sirius was getting f*cked by his moony, because that is what 90% of wolfstar is about. A top Remus and a bottom Sirius- add this to my reasons for dislike list)
But anyways whenever anyone says to (most) wolfstar side of people why the literal soulmate guys - James and Sirius are not much famous as a ship, the reply is 'ew, why would you want to downplay the importance of a friendship' ' I can never see James and Sirius in a romantic setting' 'but there is no chemistryyyy!!!!! '
But when the same reply is given that oh I see Sirius and remus as casual friends who dont know each other well because they distrusted each other, the fandom and it's defenders comes bearing weapons.
My point is I was pretty neutral towards the ship.
Then i went looking for Jegulus. Because I was interested in marauders side kf stories. I found jily to be bland. Wolfstar was downright signaling towards toxic relationship I was never interested in. (I believe that canon Sirius deserved so much better than canon Remus, who is such a rag tag kf a guy) ( you guys have found a cure to that too by innovation of fanon Remus. The macho man. The alpha leader. The casanova. The sex guru. But the problem is that his name is still Remus Lupin and I have read hp books with all devotion. I can only see him as a guy shirking away from his personal responsibilities. Not checking up on Harry. Running away from pregnant wife. Naming a 17 year old kid with the biggest target on his back as the godfather to his child. Hitting Harry when he was trying to explain to Remus that he is a coward. Not telling Dumbledore about Sirius's animagus status. {Please do not romanticize his reasoning, I beg you. It is about hundreds of students's life. Including James's son. Also do nit say that he thought that Sirius didn't do it. Then he should have done a better job in helping Sirius out of azkaban. Atleast found him in yr 3 and helped him than. CLUE - he is the co creator of marauders map, don't tell me he didnt know where Sirius was} You get it....
Still I was pretty neutral towards wolfstar. I never interacted with it because I was nit interested.
But reading Jegulus comes with the added bonus of free wolfstar. All the time.
I left the fandom not liking how the marauders I loved were never found in either jegulus nor wolfstar. Disappointed.
But then i entered the World of Prongsfoot. Found mostly writers doing justice to the James and Sirius and Peter and Remus I was initially intrigued as a kid.
Also I am not talking about following canon plot in the fics... I am saying the wibe is always off. Like my hc is Sirius and James as top dogs and then Remus and peter. While the basic given in wolfstar and jegulus is Sirius+James + Remus and then Peter, if they are feeling charitable. Otherwise it is Remus and then James and then Sirius and then Peter.
Then tumblr through - 'you may like this because you like this' and extra excited wolfstar and jegulus fans through wrong tagging decided that I should see these incorrect marauders era post . Where Sirius is always dramatic or stupid or idiot and a combination thereof. That was the day where this intense dislike begin.
Now this unnecessary shoving in my face something I am not interested in, made me hate wolfstar.... The reactance theory I explained earlier. I am just reacting to this incessant need to believe wolfstar is canon. That Sirius only belongs to his moony and no one else. That Remus and Sirius are soulmates. ...
PS - do not comment or message me etc to make me change my opinion or make me see things from your side. The truth is that i cannot suddenly make you like a ship say Prongsfoot in the Romantic light when all you see is two friends. Similarly I won't suddenly start liking wolfstar Or Remus Lupin. This is my post with proper tagging so that I am nit hurting sensible feelings of anyone. I have right to have my own views and opinion. And that in this case is that I despise wolfstar and Remus Lupin. I am not inviting people to make me see light. I am just answering to a simple ask.... 😊

you got the wayne munson/scott clarke brainworms into my head, now deal with them (affectionate)
fair warning: i have no idea what i’m doing
“Oh, you don’t gotta get ready, Munson,” Danny says with a smirk as Wayne reaches for his work clothes and helmet to get changed.
“What’re you talkin’ about?”
“Guys decided you’re on kids duty today,” Danny explains with a leer, all too satisfied with himself. Wayne just raises his eyebrows, thoroughly unimpressed and unwilling to play games this early in the morning. “There’ll be a class coming by later, y’know, getting the good ok’ tour through the plant so their teacher can teach them what not to do with their lives.”
It’s said in that same tone they always use when talking about the job. Everyone hates it here. But they don’t hate the money. It’s a safe passageway into bitterness that Wayne tries not to follow.
So he sighs and heads outside again for a smoke. Wayne doesn’t mind the school trip days, they provide a welcome distraction; and he usually gets to keep out of it anyway, just walking along as the teachers do the talking, reigning in the kids that are either entirely too bored, or entirely too motivated to fuck shit up. Usually school trip days end with one or two stories to tell Eddie.
The cigarette is better company than his coworkers anyway. Far less depressing. And far less talkative.
The moment of silence is interrupted when a glaringly yellow school bus pulls up on the comically large car park. A man who looks like the comic book version of a science teacher actually jumps out and approaches him with a friendly expression Wayne wants to be wary of. But maybe it’s the gentle features, maybe it’s the big eyes, maybe it’s the ridiculous sweater vest. The point is, he’s not wary at all.
“Good morning!” the man says in what must be the the dictionary definition of chipper. “Hawkins Middle School, Scott Clarke is the name. Could I ask you to tell me where I can possibly find one mister Wayne Munson?”
“You’re talkin’ to him,” Wayne says around his cigarette.
The man, however, is not deterred in the slightest. “Wonderful! Guess we get to spend the morning together, then.” He ends on a chuckle Wayne would once have called endearing. But nothing is endearing at 7:30 in the morning. So he refuses.
Mr Clarke goes back to the bus, a right spring in his step as if he’s really looking forward to spending his day in this godawful plant. Maybe this day won’t be so bad at all.
“So, how do you like working in a plant?” Mr Clarke asks him, but contrary to the other teachers who like to make an example of Wayne one way or another, Clarke asks him privately. As though he’s genuinely interested.
“‘S fine,” Wayne answers truthfully, his gaze sweeping over the kids, busy as they are with some kind of work sheet. None of them are up to any funny business. Clarke really has a way with them. They seem to like him. Wayne can’t remember ever having liked any of his teachers. And what’s more, Clarke really seems to enjoy this. His friendly expression only shifts to excitement when he explains something, and it’s sort of fascinating to watch. Not that Wayne’s been watching.
It’s just that he doesn’t see many friendly faces, especially not around here, so he soaks it up while he can.
“How do you like bein’ a teacher?”
His face lights up like a nuclear glow stick and he goes on to tell Wayne about the joys of teaching, all while answering the kids’ questions, asking them not to run and not to bother the others while they’re still working.
As they continue with their tour, the two men stick together as if by a strong magnetic pull. Wayne even finds himself listening with rapt attention as Mr Clarke goes on and on about what kind of possibilities and dangers plants like this one bring, not only on a local or national scale, but globally. Hell, Wayne learns things about his job he never even cared about.
And he wonders how his life could have gone if there’d been someone like Scott Clarke in it. Not just as a teacher. As a friend. As a person. Maybe joy and excitement wouldn’t be strangers. Maybe genuine interest and kindness wouldn’t have become a thing of the past. Even clad in a sweater vest like that.
And if Wayne finds himself smiling for the first time in a really long while, he blames it on that sweater vest, too. And maybe on the way that Mr Clarke asked for his contact details so they could get together and perhaps cooperate on more school trips like that.
Not even Danny’s babysitter comments can sour his day, the note with Mr Clarke’s home telephone and address secure in his pocket.
Umm hello??? May I kiss you on the forehead? Bc I do know what you're doing and it's called BEING A GODDAMN GENIUS holy fuck!!!! I am very much not normal about this thank you very much. The way you capture both their personalities, and the way you phrase Wayne's inner voice? PERFECTION. I'm not even exaggerating, seriously. I'm fully on the Wayne/Scott train now. What should we call them? Scayne? Clarkson? Something more original? Help me! I hope it's okay if I add a lil something to this btw :) It's 1am and I should be asleep but hey this isn't gonna leave my brain anyway so I might as well get to it right away.
'What's this?' Eddie asks, tapping the note that's taped to the wall right next to the telephone.
'Nothin...' Wayne says. And usually it's quite convenient how his nephew needs less than half a word to understand him, but right now, he curses how in sync they are - because a truly devilish grin starts spreading over Eddie's face.
'Nothin, huh? You sure 'bout that? Should I...' He pauses to take the horn off the hook, still looking at Wayne in the exact same way the stray cats around the trailer park look at the fat birds that make their nests at the edge of the woods. '...call to find out?'
'Don't you dare, you little shit. I'll kick you out.'
Eddie only throws his head back in laughter. 'You would never.'
And he's right, of course he is. Wayne wouldn't dare joke about that if he wasn't one hundred percent sure that Eddie knew for a fact what a big fat lie that was.
'So you gonna tell me who it is?'
When Wayne keeps stubbornly silent, Eddie taps the note again, his big rings shining in the lamplight. 'Come on, there's even an address on it, I could just drive over there right now and find out for myself! You should've done a better job at hiding this shit if you actually wanted to keep your little secret.'
Wayne sighs; yet again, Eddie is right. He doesn't keep secrets, not from Eddie. Never.
'You know a Scott Clarke?'
It's almost comical how fast Eddie's jaw drops, and how wide he expands his already huge eyes; it makes him look like some comic book character.
'Are you kidding me?! He was my science teacher back in middle school! Tall, moustache, huge nerd?'
Wayne can do nothing but nod in confirmation, waiting for Eddie to inevitably laugh at him for at least five full minutes on end.
But that doesn't happen; the sudden softness in Eddie's gaze catches him by surprise.
'Jesus, Wayne – he's fucking awesome, man, seriously! One of the best teachers I ever had!' Eddie is practically skipping through the trailer now, his hair dancing around his face. 'I always thought he had a bit of a gay vibe, to be honest. Ha! I knew it!'
'Don't get your hopes up, boy,' Wayne answers. Because yes, he had an unexpectedly fun morning with Scott, and passing the time with him had been easy, and at some point they had laughed together about nothing like they were teenagers, and Scott had given him a somewhat mischievous smile when he gave Wayne that note – but he can't know. He can't assume. It simply doesn't work like that for him.
'Sides, you know I don't do relationships anyway,' he adds to tone down Eddie's enthusiasm.
Eddie frowns – reads between the lines exactly as well as he always does.
'It's been legal for ten years now, you do know that, right?'
'Course I do,' Wayne mutters. 'But for a long time, it wasn't. I'm glad you're too young to really understand what that means.'
Eddie lets himself fall onto the couch with a sigh. 'You should just give him a call. See what happens.'
Wayne snorts. 'Why do ya think I taped that damn note to the wall? Callin' him as soon as all the nosy eavesdroppers have left the building.'
Eddie laughs again, that serious expression finally leaving his face.
'Alright, hint taken, I still needed to drop by Rick's place anyway.'
And in his usual whirlwind of movement, he shrugs on one of his leather jackets, jumps around to get his shoes on his feet, and pats Wayne on his head before he rushes out of the door - only to pop back in within two seconds to get his keys. Then, silence washes over the trailer, Eddie's engine fading away in the distance.
Wayne isn't going to call. Not yet. Not today. But he will keep the number taped to his wall until he's ready.

All this boy dad talk makes me wonder what Marcus would be like getting a baby boy, this man is a girl dad to the end but him getting one little boy makes me think of all the possible fluff!!!
Marcus Pike x f!reader
A/N: I fucking love Marcus Pike and I'm also back at the headcanons besties ❤️
Tumblr media
• contrary to popular myth, I don't think Marcus can fall into a girl dad or boy dad category, I think he is a dad™ overall because that man loves his family and he's just happy and blessed no matter what
• Marcus would be so thrilled to know you are pregnant with his baby, he doesn't really have a preference, he just wants his baby to be healthy and happy and when he finds out he's having a tiny little Pike boy he is over the moon
• he is so excited about buying new clothes, building up the room and that man would worship you because you are his pregnant goddess now
• I also think he would be a little indecisive and it would take him a while to figure out exactly what kind of decoration he would like to buy his son, so I'm sure he would go with a color palette instead
• so instead of being like cars, dinosaurs or whatever, you and him would come up with a color and have the baby room all that
• he is a romantic man so don't get surprised if he suggests a color based on something meaningful like the color of your eyes, or the flower bouquet you carried when you married him or something like that, we know Marcus, don't we?
• and god, he is so excited, he can't wait to have his baby, so the happiest day of his life is definitely the birth of his big boy
• when your son is now an adorable toddler, Marcus like to motivate him into liking arts; he doesn't force the baby though, but music and other kinds of art are important to Marcus so he would like to share that bone with his boy
• so he always gifts him paper, pencils, pens, crayons, paint, anything he might be interested in, and he tries teaching him how to play instruments
• Marcus plays the bass, so that means he can either play the guitar as well, or at least he's got a decent idea on how to do so, and that's why he would buy a small guitar for your son, to try and teach him
• also, Marcus really likes the theory of putting babies to sleep with classical music, so from his early days your son falls asleep to it
• does the FBI have a 'take your kid to work' day? If not, then Marcus will definitely start the tradition because he's so proud of his son he can't wait for his whole team to see how precious his little boy is 😍

Many have been taught - contrary to The Word of God - that it is wrong to pray that God’s will be done. Long ago I was taught that to ask according to His will was to cancel out your prayer. But in fact, biblically what it does is cancel out your own will. No where in scripture are we taught to pray according to our will and to speak it until it manifests. This is witchcraft.
Let me explain…
Biblically, to prayerfully express The Father’s good pleasure is to pray for HIS will to be done. In order to pray His according to His will we can either ask for it be done (as Jesus did) “Your will be done on earth as it is done in Heaven.” OR we can pray according to His revealed written will as it is - in His Word. John instructs in 1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬‬: “And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
Any time we are praying about a specific situation, and it’s not something we can be sure exactly how God has willed that specific situation to turn out, we can trust that when we pray as Jesus instructed, it will turn out perfectly, in God’s strategic plan, way, and timing.
God’s will is in His Word.
When we have a good understanding of His Word, then we have a good understanding of His heart, His mind, and His will - and it’s so much easier to know how to pray in most situations. Knowing His Word is what gives us this “confidence” that John speaks of - that our prayer will be answered.
God will not answer a prayer that is contrary to His will/Word. At times this can be confusing, for example, we know God wills that people are healed - however - we do not know His will concerning the timing of that healing or what that healing will look like. The person could die - and that is still healing - because in death we become whole - and that is why psalm 116:15 says that “precious in the eyes of God is the death of His Saints (All of His loved ones.)” Death means that this persons struggles and pain are over and they have finished their race and are resting forevermore with their Father.
The death of God’s loved ones is further explained in Isaiah‬ ‭57‬:‭1‬‬, which says that His loved ones often die before their time - but no one seems to understand or care that God is protecting them from evil to come… and Revelation‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬‬ says “Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. for they will rest from their hard work and their good deeds follow them!”
So at times, those who do not have God’s Word written on their heart will not have a clear understanding of how to pray - and then they are disillusioned when their prayers are not answered.
And also for this reason of not understanding God’s Word, many pray their own will - and at times God will give them their will to help them learn how to know that His will is best. That happened to me years ago on several occasions. This is what taught me to search the Word and know it, and to love His will over my own.
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬‬ explains very clearly that when we ask for things in prayer, and we don’t get it, it’s because our motives are all wrong — we only want our own will - and what we think is best according to our very human understanding and not according to God’s.
I love this statement I read this morning that says “Not pleading with the Father, but expressing the Father's good pleasure is the key-note of true intercession.” (David Head)
This is so true, because choosing our own will over God’s will is rebellion. And that is why “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord...” 1st Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭23‬

As tragic as it is to see He Tian battle so hard to get out of what his family has decided for him, I’m gonna be screaming into the night about how sweet it is to see the other three be dead set on not leaving him behind.
Jumbled thoughts incoming
And like, it makes total sense at this point. Mo has been looking for He Tian like a compass seeking North whenever he’s not on sight and ZhengYi are Loyalty Personified but I love that all three not only wait for him, but take an active role to go and look after him. (And it’s Mo leading the operation!! And He Tian sees it!! And that he’s touched by it!!) They could consider he’s with his family and to not intervene, ZhengYi could be leaving together but nope, they were four when they arrived, they’ll be four when they leave. Which also makes me wonder if Jian Yi already has an idea of what could be going on, he’s already got kidnapped, is somewhat aware of his family’s endeavors and how they’re tied to He Tian’s.
We’ve often seen both He Tian and Jian Yi being alone, pensive, surely burdened by what their future could entail. So far, we’ve had a better view into He Tian’s mind and where the antagonists want him but not a clue (unless I forgot them) as to what happens to TianShan during high school or when they’ll meet again precisely. Narratively, it would make sense for He Tian to leave now that they’ve made their bond official through the piercing but ya know, let me hope that they still have cute moments together before the big sad hits.
Almost on the contrary, the timeline for Jian Yi is set in stones but the motives and the amount of knowledge Jian Yi has about his fate at that point are a bit more blurry and more complex? (Like it would appear his mom and his grandpa have contradictory goals, maybe neither he nor his mom know what'll happen because why would he even enroll in high school?) And it might be wishful thinking but I badly hope pushing ZhengYi into comic relief has a purpose for the story more than just being a way for them to be included during the TianShan focused arc. Maybe Jian Yi is in a phase where he’s hiding his own anxieties and fears behind a facade of naivety and cheerfulness? All things that could return to hit him in the face when he sees He Tian can’t escape no matter how much he tries.
To return to him, I have no idea whether we’ll still see what happens to He Tian once he’s separated from the rest but there’s a possibility we’ll have parallel storylines, him alone on one side, the other three on the other, and part of me would love to see that and learn more about his family dynamic but there’s also the possibility that he’ll just vanish for us readers, just like he’ll vanish from Mo’s point of view.
No clue how it’ll unroll because let’s be honest, TianShan is what caught a lot of the more recent readers and if we’re a little cynical, maybe the author doesn’t want to just cut them up completely for a very long number of chapters. I could totally see visual parallels of them alone in their respective rooms, we don't even know if they'll go completely no contact for years but if they do, it'd be harsh to just... not see He Tian anymore. Though Old Xian has very very often decided to not show us everything, so I wouldn't rule that option out completely.
Either way we’ll get long chapters of sad lonely Mo??? Thinking he was abandoned soon after coming to terms with his feelings??? Who still decides to keep the piercing and the guitar and to keep working hard????? So no matter what I’m getting my heartstrings played with but if we could have a little insight into the He family as a compensation and heavenly sent ZhengYi development, I wouldn’t mind it.

₊ ⊹ // Dull Abstracts, Duller Hearts \\ Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
“How essential to me, you have become.” - Sackville-West to Woolf
What’s Micolash to do, when his academic rival comes to sit by him to comfort him?
a/n: Have never written fanfic, only read it. This is really just a blurb I had to get out of my head is all. And for the most deranged and unhinged Bloodborne character at that 😵‍💫. So this is nothing too crazy, enjoy?
Warnings: allusions to gore(ish), metaphorical masochism(??), rushed ending(☹️), written on phone(format might be ugly and idk how to format in general)
Word Count: unknown
Tumblr media
It wasn’t your fault you got that scholar all worked up over nothing. Well- to you it was nothing, to him it was everything. Once again your work, your research, was praised and accolades were given to you by master Willem. And once again, Micolash is left in the academic dust.
You find the man skulking by the lake, glittering in the moonlight. Dirtied boots kick at the dirt as you walk over to him from the entrance of Byrgenwerth.
“Moping again?”
You call out as you walk.
“Hardly- actually I am not moping. Quite the opposite, on the contrary.. yada yada..”
He replies grumpily, throwing another pebble into the lake. A mere drop that ripples across the surface. Either he’s actually being sarcastic and funny, or he is fully trying to convince you he is not moping. Whatever his motives, he only serves to look like a child throwing a tantrum.
“Well. Wrong. I can tell you’re moping.”
You reply back with the tiniest bit of smugness, sitting down beside him on the banks of the lake. Leaning back against your hands, your eyes slowly settle on the lake.
You let the comfortable silence overtake you both like the waters of that moonlit lagoon. Perhaps you have nothing to say, or maybe you’re just waiting for Micolash to crack, to begrudgingly start to complain or vent or do anything to voice his frustration. What you’re doing is condescending, it’s annoying, it’s comforting. And maybe there’s a sick part inside of him that revels in this comfort you give him, even under the guise of academic rivalry.
Micolash scoffs at your words, but doesn’t say anything. He’s not upset at you; he can’t be. You’re not making fun of him, you’re actually doing quite the opposite. You and him could go back and forth like the ebb and flow of tides.
It’s a bothersome notion to him, that just like how ocean waves can’t push and pull without the moon; he can’t imagine his life without you. Now the scholar’s just being dumb and romantic about someone who sees him as a rival, someone to beat out in studies and scholarly research. How vexing he thinks to himself. It’s enough to make him nauseous.
“I’m just looking at the lake.”
Micolash grumbles with annoyance plain in his voice. If only he had a cigarette, and if only he didn’t give his last one to Laurence. Damnable prick.
You say nothing, merely flashing a tiny smile as you continue to stare out onto the lake. Your head falls back as you lean against your hands behind you, lounging with the cool breeze that comes off the waters.
“I actually quite liked your study.”
You admit nonchalantly into the air.
“Perhaps master Willem and the others simply didn’t understand it.”
You suggest coolly as you tilt your head side to side slowly in a meandering motion. A highly unlikely scenario, however the idea is oddly comforting to Micolash. As much as he dislikes said idea. Was it a rule now that academic papers had to be understandable??
“I did though.”
You add on after a beat of silence, finally turning to look at Micolash fully. That look of yours; so curious, understanding, sympathetic- fucking gentle; everything that Micolash believes he shouldn’t be looked at with.
Something in your words strike him. Or actually- your words do strike him. Hard. Like a lightning bolt, like Cupid’s arrow. Like a quicksilver bullet from a pistol, all in a good way of course. Oh, you understood his essay? Obviously you did, you’re smart, terribly and beautifully smart. But you complimented him..through his work- ..which technically still counts as a compliment to him.
Micolash feels as if he could throw up any second.
“.. you did?”
He asks quickly with that turned up half-grin. He’s trying to be normal about it. Trying to hide his emotions that are whirling around inside like storms.
“Of course I did. Although- it was more like ramblings than a thought-out and planned dissertation.”
You say, eyes shifting to look up at the stars that hung overhead.
“However it was ..beautifully written. Much better than Laurence’s dull abstracts and compositions on blood.”
It was.. a backhanded compliment for sure, you were known for those. But Micolash found himself wanting more of it. Gods, you could slap him around all you want. Backhand him with your words or your touch, either way he’d soak it up and give you his very soul in return.
Hell- you could even gouge out his eyes, crack open his chest like they did with cadavers and corpse heads. Bury your hands in him and search for anything and everything. Split him open on the table and peer inside him long enough to know that you infect every bone and cell and crevice.
However you do it, any touch you offer him is a prayer he’ll hold fast.
“Easy to understand hm?”
Is all Micolash hums in reply. Very normal.
“Oh yes... You know, ..-I like to think that we think alike.”
You comment with a beaming smile, moving your focus from the stars and lake to the scholar right next to you. Oh gods, Micolash is fearing this is going in a direction he isn’t sure he’s good at, stepping into territory he’s unfamiliar in.
He never did like the idea of courting, especially other scholars at Byrgenwerth. After all why go through something where he might get hurt? Where he’ll be made a fool of so easily? He’s strange, his reputation is least desirable. Workaholic, annoying voice (according to some- or most), uncanny at times. He can’t woo a man or woman to save his life.
Micolash could visit any lady of the night, pay the price for whatever bleak and quick pleasure he wanted. But to actively pursue you? An angel that’s out of his league some twenty thousand times? Out of the damn question and a fate that’s out of his hands and control.
“..Alike? We?- you and I…- ah- yes. We… do share similarities in our… thoughts.”
Terrible. He stammers like an idiot. Micolash wonders if he could just slip into the lake out of embarrassment. Surely you wouldn’t care right? Oh what does it matter. As he stares at the surface of the lake, watching it wrinkle faintly in the light of the moon. He likes the moonlight, he likes you in the moonlight. Is it possible to be as beautiful as a celestial body? Obviously it is, you exist. Ugh, he could just desperately grasp at you with need and want and yearning. Like the tides reaching up for the moon and heavens, he too would reach up toward you.
Perhaps you’ll never love him, or you’ll never know he loves you. Well.. what’s actually stopping him from outright confessing to you? From attempting some shoddy confession at least? Why can he not just look at you, open his mouth, and go I love.. I love, I love- please oh I love-
“You coming along back inside? It’s getting cold now- certainly don’t want you ill if you’re to best me at our next research proposals.”
You’re standing over him now, a gentle smile donned on your face as you wait for Micolash. Oh fuck, how long exactly was he just staring dead at the water with thoughts of you. Micolash blinks at you before briskly nodding awkwardly and standing up. The ever tall and lanky scholar dusting off his uniform as he looks at you, as normally as he can possibly muster.
He won’t confess and be made the fool. Not this time.
“Lead the way.”

*Ding dong* *ding dong*
Kou: Pwah..... what a boring day it was. I wish we had more excitement. Ahhhhhhhhh Yuma ...... Please stop it and don't bother me with so many stupid requests. You forgot that I am a famous idol. It is not suitable for handsome Kou-kun to work in the garden.
Yuma: Huh? shut up. How about trying to be useful in your life instead of protesting so much.
Kou: Stop it. I am very helpful. I give people hope and motivation by performing my impressive shows.
Yuma: Ya better tell some stupid girls that you are excited to gather around.
Kou: Don't be so hard-hearted. What useful work do you do?
Yuma: Hahaha... Well, of course. I am doing a lot of useful work by growing vegetables with my valuables. On the contrary, my work is hard and breath-taking and I have to put my heart and soul into it.
Kou: Hey, my work is very hard too, I really...
_The attention of the Kou is drawn to a student who is spreading the announcement of a party among the students.
Kou: What is he doing?
Yuma: It seems to be a party announcement. Does it matter?
Kou: Huh? A party. This is great. At least this party can make this boring day exciting.
_Kou runs to the student to get an announcement from him.
Kou: Can you give me one?
_The student gives Kou a notice.
*Flip*
Kou: Fufu.....thank you very much.
_Yuma goes to Kou.
Yuma: Now when is this party?
Kou: Yahoo! There is a party tonight. What do you think, let's go together?
Yuma: No. I am not interested.
Kou: Oh, stop, Yuma. Don't be so stubborn. We go and have fun together. What is happening?
?????: Kou-kun, Yuma-kun. Are you two here?
_Kou and Yuma notice Yui's presence behind them.
Kou: Hahaha..... Hello, M-Neko-chan. What are you doing here?
Yui: Ruki-Kun is waiting for you two. School is over. We have to go back home.
Yuma: Heh, you're right. Let's go.
Kou: Wait. Before we go, tell me, are you two coming to the party?
Yui: Party?
Kou: That's right. There is a party at school tonight and I really want to go together. But Yuma is not coming with me. Do you want to go together?
Yuma: Hey, don't try to force her.
Kou: By force? Oh no. M-Neko-chan really likes to spend time with his beloved Kou-kun. Isn't that so?
Yui: I'm sorry Kou-kun. But I don't think Ruki-kun will let me come to the party.
Kou: Ruki is not going to understand. We tell him that we are going shopping together and he doesn't understand either.
Yuma: Ya fool, ya want to prank Ruki.
Kou: Fufu... What is wrong Yuma? Afraid?
Yuma: Haaaaaaa? Of course I'm not afraid. I'm coming too.
Yui: What? But didn't you say that you don't want to come?
Yuma: Yes I said that? But it is not possible to leave ya alone with Kou.
Ko: Owo..... Yuma-kun, how kind of you to come with us to a party that you don't like because of taking care of M-Neko-chan.
Yuma: Shut up ya bastard.
Kou: Hahahaha..... Well, then tonight all three of us will go together. Just remember that Ruki should not understand anything.
*TIMESKIP*
_This scene starts in the school banquet hall.
Ko: Ohhhh... it's much more crowded here than I thought. In my opinion, M-Neko-chan, you look much prettier in this dress.
_Yui blushes.
Yui: Oh, thank you so much, Kou-kun. But if I come back home with this dress, won't Ruki-kun be suspicious?
Kou: Don't worry, there is a dressing room here. Before we go home, we go there and change our clothes.
Yuma: Che... I can't believe I listened to ya idiot and came to such a crowded party.
Kou: Stop Yuma-kun. It's okay to have fun.
Yuma: Ahhhhhh... now whatever. Hey Yui, let's go and sit there.
_Yuma takes Yui's hand and they go to the chair.
Kou: Wait, I will come.
_Kou goes to the chair with Yuma and Yui and sits down.
Kou: Are you guys thirsty? Would you like to have a drink?
Yuma: Yes, that's a good idea.
_Kou asks the servant for a drink and the servant goes towards them with a bottle of drink and gives them the drink.
Kou: Thank you very much.
Yuma: Hey Kou, what kind of drink is this?
Kou: I don't know... I think it's new, let's try it.
_Kou pours the drink in the glass.
Yuma: Hey, wait. It is better not to drink this.
Kou: Why?
Yuma: Well..... What if this drink makes us drunk?
Yui: Uh....if that's the case.....I can't drink this.
Kou: Oh, come on. A glass is fine.
Yui: But...
Kou: What's the problem, M-Neko-chan? Don't you think you're still a little kid who has to ask your Daddy's permission for everything? Oh or not, now you have to ask Ruki's permission instead of Dad. Fufu.... He treats you like dads.
_Yui puffs her cheeks.
Yui: Kou-kun stop. I am not a little child.
Kou: So if you are not, drink this. Not even a glass. Drink more than one glass to prove that you are not a child and do not need your Daddy's permission.
Yui:...... but......
Kou: What's wrong, little kid? Where is your daddy?
Yui: Ahhhhhhh ok, I'll drink.
_Yui takes the glass and drinks it to the end.
*Gulp Gulp*
Yui: Are you satisfied now?
Kou: Not yet. You should drink more than one glass.
Yui: Okay.
Yuma: Hey Yui, don't be stupid. What if ya get really drunk?
Yui: ......
Kou: Little baby?
Yui: I'm not a little kid.
_Yui picks up a few more glasses and drinks again.
*TIMESKIP*
_Kou and Yuma who carries Yui on his shoulder are returning to the mansion.
Kou: I had a really good time.
Yuma: Shut up. This is a disaster.
Yui: Fufu.... hahaha..... I'm on the air..... moving..... hahaha.....
Kou: Fufu... she's so cute when she's drunk. Isn't she?
Yuma: Huh? Ya fool, ya know what trouble we got into. What if Ruki finds out?
Kou: Don't worry, Yuma. We sneak into the mansion and before Ruki knows, we take Yui to her room to sleep. Simply. Ruki doesn't understand either.
Yuma: Che.... Ya are really stupid to think that Ruki won't understand.
Kou: Quiet. We arrived.
_Kou slowly opens the door of the mansion.
*Creaaak*
_Kou and Yuma slowly enter the mansion.
Kou: Yuma, we should go to her room very quietly and not make any noise.
Yui: Fufu.... Why is it dark here.....Wow..... This is a haunted mansion....
Yuma: Oh, shut up... no one should hear our voices...
Yui: Who are you?
Yuma: Seriously? I'm Yuma, ya forgot, I'm a vampire.
Yui: Kyaah..... don't eat me...... don't drink my blood.
Kou: Fufu M-Neko-chan, we have sucked your blood a thousand times.
Yui: Ahhhh... Really?
Kou: Yes, you are our bride. The bride of the Mukamis. We are Mukami brothers.
Yuma: Ahhhhhhhhh, both of you shut up. Let's be calm so Ruki doesn't understand.
?????: What should I not understand?
Kou and Yuma at the same time: Ahhhhhhh??????
_Kou and Yuma turn around to see Ruki and Azusa behind them.
Kou: Ruki, Azusa, when did you come here?
Azusa: We... heard Eve's scream ..... and got worried.
Ruki: Yuma, why are you carrying her on your shoulder?
Yuma: Well..... that...
Yui: You....have two....fangs....are you a vampire too?
Azusa: What happened to Eve?
Yui: Who is Eve?..... I am the bride of the vampires.... Miss. Mukami's bride..... Fufu.... hahaha....
_Ruki looks at Kou and Yuma with cold eyes.
Ruki: Kou, Yuma, explain right now what's going on here?
Yuma: Ummmmmm.....explain Kou.
Kou: Huh? Why me? Well.... the story is about this.....
*TIMESKIP*
Kou: And it was like this.
Ruki: I can't believe it. You lied to me and then you forced her to drink a lot to prove that she is not a child and that I am not acting like her dad.
Yui: Fufu.... are you my daddy? Ohh..... don't punish me..... I'm a good girl.....
Azusa: Fufu...she is so cute.
Kou: I'm sorry Ruki.
Ruki: Good grief.....
_Ruki takes Yui from Yuma's shoulder and hugs her like a bride.
Ruki: Just wait until she gets better, then wait to see what will happen to you.
Yui: Fufu........
Ruki: Besides, I don't act like dads. I am the older brother, not the dad.
Kou: Well...
Ruki: When you are talking to me, look me in the eyes. And because of what you did, all three of you will be punished.
Kou: Yes, sir.
Yui: Daddy, I'm a good girl... don't punish me.
Ruki: Good grief.... you are so hot.... you need to rest for now.
_Ruki carries Yui to her room.
Yuma: Well, are you satisfied now?
Kou: It was very exciting. Wasn't it?
Azusa: Eve is so cute when she is drunk. She really acts like children.
Yuma: You two shut up. Kou, do you understand what trouble we got into?
Kou: It doesn't matter. The important thing is that we had a good time.
Yuma: You had a good time, not us. Poor Yui. I hope Ruki won't punish her so hard.

Another - Rio x F! Reader Part 3
Tumblr media
When Emma chooses another, Rio has to go home without her... But there's more awaiting him than just forgotten memories...
Themes: hurt and healing, facing the past, learning to love again, aka angst with a happy ending!
Warnings: angst, Rio route spoilers, eventual smut, written from Rio's POV
Part 2
Not only did you not love her, you treated her so unkindly that she’s visibly nervous around you, and you dragged her into your most heinous act. She should despise you as much or more than you despise yourself, and yet all you can sense from her is a heartbroken desire to be accepted.
In your self-centred ways, you've neglected the one question you ought to have asked from the start.
“Did you… ever… love me?”
You can't bring yourself to meet her gaze, choosing to linger instead on the golden petals before you.
“I still do… very much…”
The crack in her tender voice tells you what awaits should you dare to seek her eyes. Coward that you are, you don't.
“Why? I'm a terrible person. I'm distrustful, hateful, vengeful, rude, scheming, and selfish. I'm basically a murderer. What ever did I do to attract you?”
A sniffly giggle chimes in the breeze, one more refined and elegant than that of her daughter, but unmistakably the same.
“What's so funny?” you ask, finally turning your gaze back to her.
“You've become much more self-aware over the last three years. You never would have admitted such things before — though they're all true.”
“So, you agree then? I'm awful. There's nothing about me worth loving.”
“On the contrary, what you mentioned has never been anything but reasons for me to love you more.”
“What are you talking about? Have you hit your head as badly as I have?” you find yourself asking seriously as you reach for her shoulders and turn her to face you.
A little startled she blinks nervously at you before glancing at your grip on either side.
“Uh, my apologies. Do continue… if you please,” you mutter and drop your arms, returning to fiddling with the daffodil.
“Well… I suppose it sounds ridiculous the way I phrased it, but… I believe the only reason you ever lashed out or let such dark feelings taint your heart was to mask the pain… When everything you've ever cherished has been taken from you, there's nothing left to lose… Truly, I believe you've never been anything but kind and caring deep down.”
Thoughts you're certain you've never told a soul. Memories branded on your heart in places you try to hide even from yourself. Fears and motivations you didn't understand until you were forced to face them when Silvio abruptly appeared a month ago.
Answering the shocked query of your brows, she declares with scorn, “I am your wife, Your Highness. How could I not know? Do you think I’ve been spending my days at court simply watching the sea roll in and out? What do you think Her Majesty and I spoke of all these years I've been Her attendant? To whom do you imagine I have been paying attention if not my betrothed?”
The pain that lapped at her eyes mere seconds ago has turned into surging waves of indignation, yet you can't resist the smile that washes over your features in response. At the same moment, your daughter comes running back, no flowers to be found, only insistent demands for ‘up’.
Bringing her into your arms you tell the little girl, “You know, bambina, your mother is a very perceptive woman. I don't think you or I will get away with much of anything as long as she has her eye on us.”
A bashfully averted gaze is all you catch before you rise and suggest continuing the walk through the rest of the gardens.
Little did you know that afternoon would be the first and last chance you would have to play freely with your daughter for quite some time. Royal duties, politics, visits, and excursions quickly submerged you from dawn ‘til dark thereafter. Though you may be able to get three times as much work done in a day as anyone else, you cannot - despite your best efforts - make meetings with others end thrice as quick.
The first few days after that you had tried to visit Valerie, but found she had already been tucked in for the night. Afraid of waking her with candlelight you didn't ask to see her in spite of the unfamiliar longing that nagged at you. By the second week you had come to accept that the life you'd forgotten had always been soaked with futility.
The only one usually still awake by the time you finish is your mother. Grateful for whatever time you can spend by her side, you visit every night. Weeks pass talking about your childhood memories, her life after you disappeared, the woman and child you left behind, your experience abroad, and eventually the heartache you brought home.
“Mother, I can't help but wonder… why am I the only one who married? Isn't it improper for a younger sibling to marry before the eldest? What happened? Why would father marry me off first when there's no clear political advantage?”
“Valerio… you were the one who wanted to be married. You fought with me, pleaded with me to let you wed…”
Memories billow with a sudden gust of old fears. You had always been afraid the next attempt on her life could be the last, so you had asked your mother to set you up with someone she liked. You had wanted to give her peace of mind that you would be taken care of. Most of all, the thought of not having her blessing on your wedding day had been unbearable.
“I tried to convince you to marry for love; begged you not to put yourself in the same position as your father — a wife unloved and a mistress cherished. You balked at the idea of ever repeating his mistakes and promised me that you would stay loyal to whomever I selected.”
How naive a heart that has yet to know love can be. Never had you imagined yourself capable of the powerful emotions now buried within. You had genuinely believed that, simply because you did not disdain the maiden she recommended, you liked her.
From there you had assumed a thing called love would blossom. However, you belatedly understand that because you had simply believed tolerance to be the limit of your affections, you made no further effort to deepen the connection.

So I’m not very far into Jason’s story and don’t know how much is fanon vs canon, but from my understanding jason took over the drug trade in Gotham and has a no selling to kids rule and a no cutting the drugs rule.
this just,,,doesn’t make sense to me if Catherine doesn’t have an illness that keeps her bed ridden and in enough pain that street drugs are the only kind of pain relief she and Willis can afford.
But for all ik that’s completely fanon
i wouldn't say it's completely fanon, but it's also not canon either. rather, i'd say it's one of not many honest attempts at interpretation of catherine's story based on the limited insight that comics give us. in the 80s post-crisis origin story, we learn two things about catherine: 1. that she died of overdose and 2. that "her life was cut short by a disease that didn't care how much love she had in her heart." (batman #408) admittedly, the latter might have been just a euphemism for addiction (batman writers loved, and really still love, referring to everything as "disease," but that's a topic for a whole another essay), and to be honest i usually think of it as such, but evidence of the contrary could be inferred from the fact that in the panel she's in a hospital bed, and it begs a question how likely it would be for "merely" an addict to receive that kind of help. and so, many people assume that she suffered from a chronic alignment and attempted to find relief in self-medication. but that's not ever explicitly confirmed in-text; it's rather readers trying to make sense of an underdeveloped background. and frankly speaking, my take is that even if there was no purely somatic issue she was trying to escape, then there's plenty to say about the distress caused by their living situation. and there are many reasons to think that jay as we know him from 86 would understand that.
so still, i ought to add that (canon, in fact) jason taking over the drug trade makes little sense in general. there's no real motivation provided for it being such a firm focus in his operations, it doesn't strictly follow from his actions in the lost days (written by the same person, mind you, so you'd expect it) and as mentioned, finally, 80s jay didn't have any vendetta against the drug trade in particular. in the story in which he does work against it as robin, there's no mention of his mother (to be honest, i doubt starlin who authored it cared for his backstory at all; but either way, it was not of any significance and the storyline didn't even center around it.) so this is all dc's beloved war on drugs that somehow only got worse through the decades (i think you will get angry when you see zdarsky's take on child jay dealing with his mother's addiction. or i hope you do because there's no reason to endorse it. one of the worst retcons to date.)

Regarding the people being suspicious of Eden thing, it brings to mind a quote from The Incredibles 2: "Politicians don't understand people who do good simply because it's right. It makes 'em nervous." Anon would argue a lot of people in fandoms today are the same: they can't stomach the idea that there are genuinely kind people in the world, because that "makes them feel bad" for not being the same. So, Eden can't GENUINELY be a nice person, because then "they look bad in comparison".
//All of this is actually very interesting because Teruko and Arei both have very similar logic in Chapter 2:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//They have a similar sort of view that kindness, friendship and optimism are naive at best and actively harmful at worst. They've bought into the lie that reality is unilaterally terrible and everyone is an asshole out to get to you, and the only way to survive is to be an asshole right back.
//And it's definitely not for nothing, especially when you look at who says these things:
Tumblr media
//It's a perspective I've seen in a lot of people who've been beaten down and dealt with so much awful shit in their lives that kindness feels almost alien to them.
//I've seen a lot of real people make those same conclusions, and they often decide that someone being kind is either too stupid to realize what they think they know, or they have ulterior motives.
//And like I keep saying, Despair Time is telling us that this perspective is wrong.
//Teruko's trust issues have only isolated her more and more from the others, and left her with far less information to work with than she would've had if she cooperated. Ace's antagonism and constant fights lead to him nearly getting killed. Arei actually did patch things up with Eden, and how that turned out...well, we can't really say for sure yet.
//It perplexes me how people have mostly latched onto the darkness and misery, and assume that this is some nihilistic misanthropic edgefest simply because the protagonist is the one who has to learn how to trust others. Or that David exists.
//Eden, meanwhile, is the person in the cast who best represents kindness and optimism, and instead of it being a two-dimensional platitude, it's her personal decision to be kind even though she knows how dark the world can be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
//I say all this as someone who has dealt with depression and anxiety for well over a decade at this point: Eden is absolutely right. Bottling up your emotions, withdrawing from others, and only thinking about yourself is a recipe for extremely unhealthy behavior.
//And approaching this from a writing perspective, if this were the grimdark story so many seem to think it is, characters like Eden usually die in the beginning to firmly establish the tone. They don't get scenes like this.
//Now, obviously I have no idea where the story is going to go from here, but I highly doubt that putting so much emphasis on Eden here is meant to signify that this is somehow going to prove Teruko right. On the contrary, I'm still certain this chapter will prove Teruko's decision not to trust anyone is far more dangerous and unhealthy.
//Either people didn't actually pay attention to what was happening or being said in the game itself, or they think that, because a character is kind, that somehow means they're going to be evil.
//I honestly think Eden is the least likely to be the culprit in this chapter. You can quote me on that and throw it in my face if I turn out to be wrong, but I'm sticking to it from here on out.
