at first, you loved the words on your body that connected you to your soulmate, your one and only. but the older you got, the more annoying and mocking they became. what weirdo sings rhianna when they first meet their soulmate, anyway?
steve rogers x fem!reader
soulmate au!
word count: 1.7k, sheâs a baby :,)
warnings: none besides the fact that this was written in an hour and a half, flufff!
By the time you were old enough to read, the song wasnât out yet. At the time, you had no idea it was a song, of course, and the words were still cute. It sounded like you had a sweet soulmate. You thought of your soulmate coming to you in a million different ways in your imaginative little brain every single time it rained.
But when you were eight years old, the song came out. And then, you were teased for your words relentlessly. They started to hum the song when you walked by. Someone drew you a picture of a raindrop. One kid was even bold enough to laugh right in your face and tell you that Rihanna herself was your soulmate.
And every morning, you would turn on your side, lift your arm up, and look at the words inscribed in semi-neat cursive, your soulmateâs writing.
You can stand under my umbrella
Who even said that? It was so⌠cheesy. As the years went by, you doubted that it was rain at all that made the words come out of your soulmateâs mouth. By the time you were in high school, you were certain that it was a pick up line. You no longer longingly stared at every rain shower that happened.
Even though you had a certain, tiny disdain for whoever was behind the words, you knew that you missed them in a way that you didnât understand fully yet. Perhaps the reason was that everyone else around you was happy with their other halves, living perfect lives with the person destined for them, but you knew that wasnât their fault that you didnât have yours. By the end of high school, most people already met their soulmates. You didnât have yours yet, and it was your second year of college. Naturally, you started to worry.
What if they didnât exist at all?
The possibility of not having a soulmate and just having filler words in the form of a Rihanna song plagued you every day, and the thought only got stronger when it rained. When you were younger, rain meant good luck, and it was your comfort weather. Now, all it brought was the cold and negative thoughts.
§§
It was your lucky day, because it was quite literally pouring while you served the drenched customer her coffee. You watched her yank the door open and rush towards her car through the glass windows, and you swore under your breath when you remembered something.
Your car was in the shop, and you were supposed to be walking home from work. That meant walking home in the torrential downpour.
You sighed and shook your head, leaning over the counter and already anticipating getting ultimately drenched on your short walk home.
Your boss let you go home early and started closing shop, and you didnât know if you wanted to thank her or send her the bird for not letting you wait out the storm. She had never let you go home early before, not once in the entire history of you working there. It was unusual. You had full intentions of asking her if she had a hot date, but she started to turn off the lights before you could ask her what made her want to do something nice for once.
You shook your head again as you realized that you didnât even have a hood or jacket or even worse, and umbrella. You sighed and braced for the cold, yanking the door open and folding your arms, pushing through the uncomfortable feeling of the cold, wet rain with your head down.
You got caught at a crosswalk and had to watch cars fly by. Of course you did. There were footsteps behind you, and you sighed and regretted the second that you stomped your foot, looking up to the sky and letting the rain hit you right in the face. âThis is the worst fucking day of my life.â
There was a gasp from beside you and you didnât even open your eyes. You assumed that whoever it was, was offended by your language. âSorry,â you said, but you didnât sound apologetic at all.
Someone cleared their throat from beside you, and you turned your head to the side to see a handsome blonde man with a dark blue umbrella and a pink flush on his face smiling at you, already moving the umbrella your way. Your heart raced. This couldnât be it. Was it? Your hands were suddenly shaky as you waited for the man to say something, anything. No, not anything, you were waiting to hear the predestined offer (or pickup line) that you now loved again.
âHere,â the man said, and the sound of rain hitting the roof of the umbrella was almost as empty as you felt in the moment. You mustered up a smile at him and said a small thank you, trying to mask the disappointment that came with being so close meeting your soulmate after all.
The man held the umbrella for as long as he walked in the same direction as you, and then he apologized for not being able to hold it for you any longer. âItâs alright, thank youâ you said, and hoped that the sound of the pounding rain was enough to hide the tremor in your voice. You were not about to cry.
You went to stand under the roof of a building on the side of it, hoping that the wave of rain would be over in a few minutes. It was better than running for two minutes, you supposed. You saw another blonde man with large strides walk past, with an even darker blue umbrella in his hand, and he was dry.
You groaned. âHow am I the only one who didnât know about the rain?â
The man stopped in his tracks and turned around, looking at you with wide, blue eyes as you stood nonchalantly under the roof, arms crossed and still a little hurt after the universe teasing you with the first umbrella man. When all he did was stare at you, you have him a harsh look and looked away. Staring men always meant trouble, and the meaner you were, the faster they would leave you alone.
âYou can stand under my umbrella,â the handsome man said, and slowly, your head turned back his way. Your eyes locked again, and it was your turn to stare like an idiot. âI-I mean, if you want to.â
You leaned off of the wall of the building and took a step towards him. âDid you really just say that?â
A grin lit up on his beautiful face, and you already decided that his smile was your favorite thing on earth. Screw churros from the fair. âDepends, did you just say something about being the only one who didnât know about the rain?â
You threw yourself into his arms, and he nearly dropped the umbrella just to hold you. His embrace was warm and strong, and he used just enough pressure for you to feel he was there. âI didnât think you were real.â
It truly did felt surreal. You were in your soulmateâs arms after all that time wondering, worrying, and losing sleep, and now it all felt like it was going to be alright. You could see the happiness in you near future coming your way, the questions and the subtle and uncontrollable bitterness towards others fading away quickly. You already held this man high in your mind, and just like that, he was a priority. And you didnât even know his name yet.
Instead of asking him for the name that you so desperately wanted to know or saying any of the cheesy words swirling around in your mind, you decided to talk about the words. âBecause, who quotes Rihanna?â
âWho doesnât look at the weather before leaving the house?â He retorted, pulling back a bit to study your face. You were glad that he was able to do it, because you discovered that his face was just as comforting as the warmth of his arms.
âShut up, weatherman.â
He smiled down at you, blue eyes giving you a fond look that only soulmates could give each other after meeting so suddenly. He poked you right on your nose, a fluttering touch that made your heart skip a few beats.
âI can walk you wherever you need to go.â Your heart warmed at his kindness. It turned out the younger you that hoped that your soulmate was a sweetheart was right, after all.
âNo, itâs okay, itâs probably out of your way,â you said anyway, disregarding the way the inner you was screaming at the part of you that had control over your mouth.
âIâm not even supposed to be all the way over here right now, and I think I already missed my appointment.â
âWhere are you supposed to be?â
âThe barbershop.â
You frowned at him. The barbershop was all the way on the other side of town, and he didnât seem like he was lost. âHowâd you find yourself over here?â
He paused for a second, like he was debating on whether or not to tell the truth. âSomething told me to walk this way.â
You could have fallen apart, and you believed that without even knowing you, he would have known how to put you back together again. âLooks like you listened,â you breathed out, in awe of the man before you, who was staring at you with the same look of bewilderment.
âHow could I not?â He took one of your hands in his after asking for permission with his eyes, and you felt the tingling build up at the connection. âIâm Steve.â
You told him your name, and he repeated it once, and then twice, and then a smile was on his face, like that was the one word he needed to hear. You resisted the urge to touch his face now that you could see the subtle stubble growing in. âDonât wear it out, weatherman.â
You took a step forward, and his long legs only took half of his normal stride to match up with you. He walked you home while you talked about anything and everything with him, every now and again talking about the words on your respective wrists and how glad you were that you found each other.
It felt so right.
You met him the next day at the park, and it was as sunny as it could be. He was carrying a tackily designed gift bag that he put red tissue paper in, and from then on, you knew he was a big goof. He handed you the bag with a huge, dopey smile on his face, and you cackled when you opened it.
It was an umbrella, an poncho, and a copy of Weather for Dummies.

Meet me by the River Bend | Finan X Reader One-Shot
Warning: None
Words: 3919
Tagged: @osferth (thanks for that prompts list!!)
It's your favorite place in Wessex. This hidden river bend behind your home in Coccham. Most of the townspeople here don't realize it's back there. Deep enough for you to bathe, and hidden enough for you not to worry about men coming to spy on you.
It's your small touch of paradise.
You've been coming here for years now. When your daily chores are done and you're certain no one will need you, you sneak off to your special place. Sometimes you don't even bathe, just going by to dip your toes in and listen to the river's song. It's the best in the summertime when the water is its warmest and you can dress in your bare minimum while you waste your day doing whatever you choose.
You rather this simple life over anything else.
Until one day you notice someone has found your secret spot.
It takes you a moment, but you recognize this face. He's a warrior for Lord Uhtred, the Ealdorman of Coccham. You've seen him before in town, usually walking around with the Lord's other warriors or drinking at the alehouse.
If you're correct, he's the one they call Finan.
Afraid of being seen, you hide behind a tree to spy on him. It's probably wrong, but you're curious to see what this man is doing in your place. You can see him approach the river, squatting down and putting his fingers into the water to perhaps check its warmth. After a moment or two, he rises, shaking off his wet finger, and then wipes it on his trousers.
What happens next makes your jaw drop.
He starts to strip away his clothing. Starting with the belt that carries his blades and then his shirt. You can't help but gawk as he works at every button till the end, then pulling the shirt off his body. As he bends down to drop his on top of his blades, his body turns till his bareback is facing you.
And the sight of it makes you gasp.
Finan snatches the shirt up and puts it back on, and you manage to hide behind the tree. You try to cover your mouth with your hand, but you're certain you've been caught.
You can hear him pick up his sword, and then you hear the sound of footsteps approaching you, "I know you're out there," he calls out as he creeps closer, "Come out now, and I swear I won't hurt ya."
"I didn't mean to spy on you, Lord, I swear it," You tell him, still cowering behind the tree.
"I'm not a Lord, darlin', no need to hide," Finan is smirking when he comes face to face with you, "If you wanted to watch me bathe, all you needed was to ask."
He's much more handsome than you realized now that he's in arms reach, and suddenly you're blushing uncontrollably, "I was not-"
"I'm only kidding, I swear it," He smiles, holding his arms up in truce, "What is a good Christian woman like yourself doin' alone in a place like this?"
"I was going to ask you the same question," you say, straightening yourself to seem more confident, "How did you find this place?"
"I usually bathe more up the river, but it seems others found my space so I came more down for some peace," Finan crosses his arms, and your eyes can't help but look at his bare chest and the blade you almost forgot he was carrying, "And you?"
"I, uh," You point behind him and chuckle, "Live not far from here. This is my secret place."
"Is it now?"
"It is," You tell him, and he smirks at you, "And I would prefer if you bathed somewhere else."
Finan chuckles, and takes a step forward, "And if I choose not to?"
You're already backed into the tree, so there's nowhere else to go as he hovers over you, "I.. I'll-"
Finanâs smirk becomes a full smile as he laughs and backs away, "I am teasing, darlin', I'll get out of your hair. I wouldn't want anyone to think anythin' of us being alone back here."
"I will not tell, if you don't," The words come out of your mouth so quickly you barely have time to register what you've just told this man.
Finan's brow raises as he crosses his arms again, "Are you propositioning me, lady?"
"No, of course not!" You argue and he smiles again, making your knees feel surprisingly weak, "I only mean to say, if you do not look my way then I will not look yours. We can share this place."
"You wish to share this place with me?" He questions.
"As long as you promise not to look and you stay on your side of this tree," As soon as the words come out you realize what you've asked of this and it's probably the dumbest thing you've done but it's too late because the words have already been spoken, "We keep our eyes to ourselves, deal?"
You put your hand out for him to shake, and a second later he shakes it, "Deal, Lady-"
"Y/N," You tell him with a faint smile, "I am not a lady, I'm just⌠Y/N."
"Well you have yourself a deal," Finan smirks as he lets your hand go and starts to make his way back to his things, "Just Y/N."
It's the way he looks at you as he walks away that makes you realize you've probably made a very big mistake.
------------------------------------<3---------------------------------------
It rains for the next few days, so you do not return to the river bend until the sun has risen again. You head down at midday to get away from your family for some time. It's hard, being the eldest child. You feel like so much is expected of you, especially in a family of only daughters.
You expect talks of marriage will be in your very near future.
When you arrive at your secret place, Finan is already there. You can tell because there are clothes all laid out neatly as well as a belt with two blades close to the water. As per your pact, you do your best to keep your eyes ahead of you and not spy on the man you've decided to let into your space.
Though you would very much like to look.
You sit by the edge of the water, taking off your shoes so you can stick your feet in the water, and just as you lay back onto the grass you hear water sloshing around and the sound of a certain Irish accent in the air.
"Y/N," You hear Finan call out, and you try your best not to look his way, "Nice seeing you here."
"I'd say the same, but I plan on upholding the promise I made," Finan laughs at your comment, and a smile forms on your face, "I am a good Christian woman, after all."
"Aye, so polite," He laughs some more and you can hear him moving through the water, probably making his way out, "Thank you for not tarnishing my pure reputation."
"I assure your pure reputation will continue to go unscathed," You chuckle and you can hear him getting out of the water, and the sound of swords in sheaths clanging lets you know he's probably getting dressed.
"Do you not wish to bathe today, Y/N?" He asks you, and you can hear his belt clang again.
"NoâŚ" You told him in a soft tone, your mood sobering up, "I only came here to escape, that's all."
"Escape what?" When you don't answer you can hear Finan moving around, and before you know it he's standing above you fully dressed, "Escape what, Y/N?"
You smirk at the sight of him, "You've crossed the tree."
"Aye, but my clothes are on," Finan smiles walking to your right and then sitting down next to you, "So are you going to tell me what has happened?"
You sigh and then sit up, pulling your knees to your body as you look out to the water, "I believe my family wishes me to marry soon."
You glance over to Finan, who is also staring at the water when he replies, "Ahh."
"My family is⌠well, we could use the silver," You explain as you put your arms around your knees and rest your chin on top of them, "I am the eldest, it's my duty to be married into wealth."
"But is being married what you wish?" Finan asks you in a tone that makes you glance his way.
It almost sounds like jealousy.
"I'm not sure," You tell him honestly, "What if he's awful?"
"What if he's hideous?" Finan jokes with brows raised and it makes you laugh, "I'm sure your father will not marry you to a cruel man."
"It's my stepfather who wishes to marry me," You explain, trying to maintain your smile but it's getting hard, "I think he tires of caring for me. I'm almost certain he wishes to be rid of me as soon as possible."
"Sounds like a bastard," Finan mutters in anger, and it catches you off guard. When he notices what he's said, he turns to face you, "I did not mean-"
You can't help but smile, "No, you are right. He is a bastard." Your smile maintains as you turn back to face the water, "I just wish I was free to choose, that's all. It might sound silly but I want to fall in love with a man, not just be forced upon him."
"That doesn't sound silly at all," Finan tells you with a soft voice, "Nothin' wrong with wanting to be loved, Y/N."
"Have you ever been in love?" You turn to ask him and you can see the expression on his face shift, "Finan? Did I say something wrong?"
He looks at your and his lip curls up, and something about the way his eyes stare into yours gives you butterflies like you've never felt before, "I have⌠a long time ago. Almost another life, even."
"What happened?"
Finan shrugs, looking back at the water as he answers, "I suppose.. it was not meant to be."
"I'm sorry," You tell him sincerely, "That sounds awful," he doesn't answer you immediately, and you wonder if you've maybe struck a nerve with your question. In hopes of redeeming yourself, you add: "Perhaps you will find love again," That catches his attention and it makes you smile, "A better one."
"I hope so as well," Finan answers with a smile much different than the others he's given you during this conversation. Something about it just makes your heart beat double time.
You wonder if perhaps these are the feelings you've been searching for.
You continue to meet Finan daily by the river bend, as long as the sun is out and there is no rain to stop you from leaving your home. You talk about everything and nothing, and over the next few months, you learn so much about each other. Finan tells you about his travels, and what it's like to be a warrior serving Lord Uhtred. Of his friends and fellow warriors, Sihtric and Osferth. You tell him about your family, how your father served in King Alfred's fyrd and did not come home after one battle. How your mother, now a widow, chose to marry a farmer to support her family and had many more children with him. How the man she married treats you more like the help than a daughter.
------------------------------------<3---------------------------------------
Of all the things you speak of, Finan's family and his life in Ireland is never brought up.
You didn't want to push it.
He did, however, tell you of his life as a slave and how he met Lord Uhtred aboard a shave ship. All the things they overcame to be free, and the friends they lost trying to get home. It's how you learn why he chooses to bathe in private.
"There are scars⌠scattered all over my back," Finan tells you during one of your meetings, "Every time someone sees them, they ask how I got them. I hate talkin' about it⌠so I bathe alone."
"I didn't mean to-"
"I don't mind telling you, Y/N," he says with a smile, "You are good at secrets, surprisingly enough."
You laugh at his comment, and you stop when you realize Finan is staring at you, "What is it?"
"May I tell you another?" Finan asks in a quiet voice.
"Another⌠secret?" You question him with a raised brow. Finan nods, his face seeming more serious than you've seen it, "What is it, Finan?"
"I would very much like to kiss you, Y/N," His words make you gasp and you realize he's leaned in closer to you, "May I?"
"But your pure reputation," You smirk but your body is leaning in closer anyway, "We are good Christians, remember?"
"I will not tell, if you don't," Finan smiles as he puts his hand on your face to pull you in.
You glance at his eyes then down to his lips right before you lean in to kiss him, "Deal."
It's not your first kiss, that's for certain, but you've never had someone kiss you with so much passion before. Finan puts his other hand on your face and leans your head back to deepen the kiss. Your hands reach out for his shirt to pull him as close to you as you can, and the two of you fall back into the grass as the kissing intensifies. Finan's tongue slips in your mouth and you moan, his hands moving from your face down to your waist.
He's about to go lower, but you stop him.
You pull away from him with a worried look on your face, "We shouldn't..."
Finan looks a touch embarrassed as he gets up off of you, "I am sorry, Y/N,"
"No, it's not that I don't wish to kiss you," You are quick to explain as you sit back up, "It's justâŚ" You don't wanna tell him, but you know you need to tell him soon before it's too late, "My stepfather has someone coming tomorrow⌠a potential husband."
"You're to be married?" He looks hurt, more than you anticipated and it hurts.
"I have no choice," Your lip quivers because the look on his face is just killing you, "He wants me gone before harvest."
"Perhaps I should go," Finan says as he jumps to his feet, and you jump up to follow him.
"Finan, Finan wait!" You call out as you chase after him, "I do not want to marry this man-"
"I will bother you no longer, Lady," he cuts you off as he keeps going, but you reach out to grab his arm and make him stop.
"Finan, please," Your voice cracks and you feel your breath starting to stutter, "I will never love this man," Finan doesn't look fully back, but his head is turned enough for you to know you have his attention, "my heart already belongs to you."
"I have nothing to give you, Y/N," Finan explains, keeping his face away from you, "No land, no home... I am just a warrior, loyal to my Lord. Every time we leave there is a chance I will not come home. It is not an easy life."
"I do not want easy," Your eyes start to water as your hand drifts down his arm to his hand, "I want you."
Finan turns back and you find he's also been crying, but there's a slight smile on his lips and it makes you feel a bit better, "Do you now?"
"I do," You smile as the tears fall, "Always."
Finan moves back in to kiss you again, his hands moving frivolously across your body as he backs you up until you eventually hit a tree. His hands are making their way down your skirts as he starts to lift them up, and eventually, they find themself between your legs.
What he does to you next, here by this river bend, is far from Christian.
------------------------------------<3---------------------------------------
You get back home later than you usually do, the sun setting as you walk through the door, and to your surprise, your mother and stepfather are waiting for you, along with another man you do not recognize.
"Where have you been!?" Your stepfather demands before you can even put down your things, "You have been gone for hours!"
"I went to bathe," You explain but your response is only a half-lie; you were indeed in the water⌠with Finan⌠and neither of you actually did bathe, "I did not realize how long I was gone."
"It's impolite to make your betrothed wait, Y/N," Your mother explains, and you give her a confused look.
"I do not have a-"
"Y/N, meet Oswald," Your stepfather cuts you off as he turns back to point to the other man in the room, "He has agreed to marry you, and for a mighty fair price might I add."
You look at the man, and then your stepfather with a worried look, "I do not wish to marry him."
"He's already paid the bride price, Y/N," Your mother tells you with a somber look on her face, "You leave for East Anglia in the morning."
"East Anglia?!" You take a step back in your shock.
"I have a lot of land, and plenty of space for all the children we will have," The man⌠Oswald smiles and it makes you shiver, "I promise you will enjoy being my wife."
"I don't want to marry you," You say again, because the first time was apparently not enough, "I refuse!"
"You cannot!" Your stepfather snaps, "You have been sold, you get no choice!"
"I will not marry this man, and you cannot stop me!" You yell, turning for the door and rushing out before anyone can stop you.
It's pouring now but that doesn't stop you as you make your way into the heart of Coccham in search of the man you much rather be betrothed to. Your first stop is the alehouse, where you know Finan frequents often with his fellow warriors, but he's not there. Instead, your eyes come across the other warriors he's usually with, Sihtric and Osferth.
They are drinking and laughing when you approach them, and you know you must look crazy with your body drenched but you do not care.
The monk-looking Saxon is the first to notice you, a kind smile on his face as he looks your way. He must be Osferth, "May we help you, lady? You seem troubled."
"You are Osferth and Sihtric, yes?" You ask as you look between the two of them, shaking in your soaked clothing, "Do you know where Finan is?"
"Ah, you must be Y/N," The Dane warrior, Sihtric, smiles as he turns to face you, "You just missed him, he's gone to meet with Lord Uhtred."
"Please, can you find him for me?" You ask out of breath, hoping they recognize the panic in your voice, "Tell him to meet me by the river bend, he will know what that means."
"Is there something wrong, Y/N?" Osferth asks as he and Sihtric exchange worried looks.
"I have no time to explain, please, promise me you'll tell him," You tell him and they both nod to each other and rise.
"We will, lady, we swear it," Sihtric tells you as he taps Osferth's shoulder and the two of them leave the alehouse with haste.
You only hope they find him in time.
It's still pouring, but it doesn't stop you from waiting in the rain for Finan to arrive. You wait behind a tree, the same one you hid behind the first time you saw him. You have been alone for a while, and part of you is starting to worry he will not show.
------------------------------------<3---------------------------------------
Perhaps you have made a mistake?
Perhaps he does not love you as you thought?
The fear makes you nauseous. You had just given this man all you had to give, your womanhood slipped through your fingers to the sound of his soft words and even softer fingers. Now you wonder if all that happened was only so he could find his way between your legs.
Tears form in your eyes, and now you feel silly for waiting out here in the rain for a man who probably doesn't love you.
You want to move from where you're leaning against the tree, except you can't because your body slides down to the ground and you can help but sit there and cry. Crying like a child, as the tears on your face blending in with the rain hitting your face.
"Y/N?" The voice you hear calling out for you makes you jump for your feet, hiding behind the tree in hopes not to be seen. It's your stepfather, and he has found your secret place, "Y/N you show yourself this instant!"
You cover your mouth so he doesn't hear you crying, or breathing for that matter, and pray to God that he doesn't find you. You can hear footsteps walking nearby and your heart is beating double time as your eyes shut tight in fear, but then you feel a hand across yours.
"Do not fear, Y/N, it's me," Finan's voice whispers as your eyes open quickly. There's a serious look on his face, his eyes peeking around the tree, "He's leavin'."
You both stand there in silence for a while, Finan's eyes watching your stepfather and yours watching Finan. Sometimes passes, and then Finan sighs as his eyes drift back to you.
"He's gone," Finan tells you as his hand moves from over yours to over your cheek, "Are you alright?"
"You came for me," You tell him in shock as your hand lowers to your side.
"Of course I did, Y/N," Finan smiles as he rubs your cheek with his thumb, "I love you."
"You do?" Your eyes are watery again but this time your tears are joyous.
"Aye," He nods as he leans in for a quick kiss, "I do, and I will not let you marry the man that bastard has chosen."
"His name is Oswald," You explain to him with a frown, "He's already paid the bride priceâŚ"
"And I plan on offering more," Finan explains with a smirk, "I have borrowed silver from Lord Uhtred. Whatever that man had paid, I will pay double."
"I cannot possibly be worth that much," You chuckle in disbelief over what he's told you, but Finan just smiles, "I am just Y/N."
"No," He shakes his head as he leans in to kiss you again, "You are everything, Y/N."
It must be true because you return back to your family's home with Finan where he offers just that for your hand in marriage and your stepfather and Oswald agree for the exchange. You do not return to that house again, because that place is no longer your home.
And the next time the sun shines again, you and Finan return again to the river bend. Where you share this special place with those you both care for the most, as they gather together to watch you two marry.
Here, in this place, special to you always.

White Tulips - Cut Chapter
Hey Everyone. I hope who ever reads this is happy and healthy. So I wrote this idea for my Han Seojun x Kang Sujin fanfic but it didnât really fit the story at the time, even though I had set it up in the published story twice, so I cut it. But I still loved this idea so I wanted to share it here.Â
I would have shared it earlier but I was trying to get the Joseon Era AU started before that but man, have I been struggling with that story. Writing historic fanfic is HARD! Anyway I still wanted to leave this here. Hope you all like it.Â
Pairing: Kang Sujin x Han Seojun
Word Count: 1.7kÂ
Rating:Â Slightly Mature... or maybe PG 15? I dunno. I am bad with ratings
i.
For all of his flaws, Han Seojun had one thing going for him. He was unashamed. Unashamed of his slight lack of academic intelligence, unashamed of his troublemaker persona, and definitely unashamed of losing to Kang Sujin at everything imaginable.
âAh-nee, how could you get so good at basketball?â He panted, pulling up his shirt to wipe his brow, not because he was sweaty, but because he wanted Sujin to stare at his abs.
âI was always good, Han Seojun.â Sujin said proudly, holding the basketball by her waist as she unabashedly eyed his abs. âI told you, I was just off my game that day.â
âYou were distracted by my face.â Seojun smirked.
âOf course, I was. I had a massive crush on you.â She grinned, kissing him.
âOoooh, chagi, you had a crush on meee.â Seojun teased like a school boy who had discovered her most embarrassing secret.
âWeâre practically married.â Sujin pointed out dryly, the fact that they had been together for over a year now.
âStill.â Seojun grinned.
âDoesnât change the fact that I finally did beat you.â Sujin countered.
Seojun didnât tell her that he had let her win today. Her loved her competitiveness and the giddy way she grinned when she won. If Seojun could, he would let her win everything her heart desired. But this he would never tell her, mostly because she would kill him. And Seojun really wanted to live, especially now that he had someone else to live with.
âTechnically, weâre at a draw. You only cancelled out your win from back then.â He stated. The two had started packing their things. Sujin dumped her water bottle in their gym bag.
âOh yeah? Well, Iâm about to win this argument.â Sujin grinned an evil grin, leaning closer. She spoke in a sing-song voice, âI know your big secret.â
âOh yeah? Whatâs that?â Seojun smirked. He was an open book, there was nothing he ever hid from anyone. And even if he did, there was nothing he was ashamed of.
Sujin took out her phone and pressed play.
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo,
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo
Really? Yes! Okey dokey yo
Say la la la la la la la la la la la
âTold you I would find out.â Sujinâs evil grin spread wide as Seojunâs smug smile wavered.
Oh no.
It turned out that here indeed was one thing that Han Seojun was ashamed of.
âYa, Kang Sujin!â Seojun went for her phone but she bounced out of his way, skipping backward.
âWhatâs wrong, Seojun-ah? Donât like this song?â She asked in mock innocence.
Oh God, the horror. The pain, the anguish! The embarrassment!
âYa! Come here!â Seojun ran after her and she sprinted away from him, running around the court. âStop playing that!â
âNo way. This is my new favorite song.â Sujin shouted back breathlessly as she ran full speed. Seojun caught up with her and she squealed and laughed as he held her by the waist.
âAre you not going to stop?â He didnât lunge for her phone. Instead opted to tickle her, making her squeal some more, laughing uncontrollably.
âI cave! I cave!â She said, her eyes tearing up from the laughing.
Seojun took her phone and turned off the song. Sujin was red from laughter and Seojun felt an ache to kiss her then and there. But he didnât want to encourage her triggering the PTSD he had from that embarrassing incident in high school.
âLim Jukyung is such a traitor. I canât believe she told you.â
âIâm your girlfriend. Of course, she told me. Shouldnât I know you were dancing around half naked in front of another woman?â Sujin wiped the tears from her eyes, still shaking from the aftershocks of laughing.
âAish! That was so embarrassing. I never want to remember that happened.â Seojun admitted, going red as he thought back to when he had been dancing around in his house, wearing nothing but his underwear and had failed to notice that Lim Jukyung had been there with his sister the entire time.
âWaeeee? I find it funny.â And then she burst out laughing again. Han Seojun walked away in a huff. He couldnât face the embarrassment any longer, especially not in front of Sujin.
âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry!â Sujin chased after him.
Han Seojun would have buried the incident again, along with his memory of that song but then there it was again.
That dreaded song.
They were having lunch with everyone; Jukyung, Suho, Taehoon, Suah and his squad with Chorong, when suddenly, he heard the tune faintly.
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo,
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo
Seojun thought he was imagining it. But then Sujin took out her phone and the song played clearer. That damn woman had set it as her ring tone.
That dreaded song.
âOops, getting a call. Be right back.â Sujin said with just enough pretend innocence that it passed off as sincere to others, but he knew. He knew.
Han Seojun glared at Jukyung accusingly and she made an apologetic face. Luckily, no one else seemed to pick up on Seojunâs discomfort. Suho did give him a pointed look but Suho knew that he did not have the privilege of making fun of Seojun the way Sujin did. And that wasnât a matter of Seojun getting mad at him. It was a matter of Kang Sujin destroying anyone who would say one syllable against her boyfriend.
âSujinnie,â Seojun pouted like a child that night as they made dinner, âI donât like your ringtone.â
Her phone had been ringing all day. A little too frequently, Seojun had noticed. It was almost as if Sujin had scheduled all of her calls to today just to mess with him.
âOh, should I change it?â She asked causally, âOkay, you pick something you like.â
Seojun grinned and padded over to the counter, setting her ringtone to one of his songs.
That night Seojun had gone to sleep thinking that chapter of his embarrassing event was over. He dreamed peacefully of being on stage and serenading Sujin with the songs he had written for her. But then his dream was interrupted with that jingle again.
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo,
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo
Seojun woke up with a gasp. No, it wasnât just his dream. The song was actually playing. Sujin stirred and shut off her alarm.
Her alarm that was set to play Okey Dokey.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! Seojun screamed in his head, cursing the storm he imagined himself drowning in. He loved Kang Sujin. He could never deny her anything, even if it led to his own torment.
But why, why out of everything she had to choose this.
Sujin got up, and didnât even notice Seojun stuff his head in his pillow as she went to the bathroom.
âHyung, are you okay?â One of his bandmates asked upon seeing Seojunâs dark circles and dead expression.
âHuh? Iâm okey, dokey.â He responded dreamily. The band member backed away in concern.
ii.
Ever since they had gotten close, Seojun had stopped challenging her. True, they would still tease and play the push-pull game but it wasnât like it had been before. Before they had felt like equals. Now it felt like Sujin had all the power and oddly enough, she didnât like that. She worried it might get too boring for Han Seojun. She worried it wasnât good for him to coddle her so much. He needed to have just as much of a say in things as she did.
She had meant the song to just stir some new challenge between them. He would respond with embarrassment and demand that she gets rid of the song. He would finally set a line for her; a restriction and she would comply to and balance would be restored. No longer would she be the one dictating everything.
But it had the opposite effect. Sujin hadnât realized how it was torturing him till she saw him jump when they passed by a store that had been coincidentally playing the song.
âItâs following me.â Seojun had hissed. Sujin became worried she had gone too far. She hadnât realized how much the incident had affected him.
Fortunately, Sujin knew what to do.
Come home early tonight. Sujinâs text came.
âIs everything okay?â He asked the second he entered. Sujin never asked him to be home early, knowing his busy schedule. He was lucky that his other band mate had gotten ill, and practice had been cancelled.
âYeah, gimme a minute!â Sujin called from their bedroom.
Seojun threw his jacket on the sofa and unbuttoned his sleeves, getting ready to make dinner. But then he froze.
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo,
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo
He groaned, âAaaaah, chagiiii! Geuman-hae already.â He turned and then froze again, dropping his phone on the floor.
In the door frame of their bedroom stood Kang Sujin wearing leopard print camisole and a blue bathrobe, striking an exaggerated dancing pose. The camisole reached just below her thighs. The rest of her long, long, long legs were available for him to gawk at.
Seojun gulped. Good God.
You ready?
I'm ready
Yea, okey dokey yo
Sujin began dancing to the song just like he had, singing along as she moved through the hallway with the graceful movements of a more practiced dancer. It was funny but all too captivating at the same time.
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo,
Is that true? Yes! Okey dokey yo
She came in and danced her way to the fridge, taking out a water bottle, and pouring it over her head.
Really? Yes! Okey dokey yo
Say la la la la la la la la la la la
She didnât have the chance to continue as Seojun picked her up in his arms. She squealed in joy as he kissed her.
âAh, Kang Sujin thatâs the sexiest thing anyoneâs ever done for me.â He said, leaning her over as she laughed.
Seojun forgot all about the song as he bridal carried a squealing Sujin to their room. They both fell down on the bed, laughing. Sujin ran a hand through his hair.
âHey, Sujinnie. Guess what underwear Iâm wearing today.â Seojun grinned.

Congrats on the 420 honey! You deserve it!!!
For your 420 event could I pretty please get Tanaka with She/Her pronouns?
Date idea #6 Reality #5
Can you also put edible #6?
Okay I love you and congrats again!
Oh my god thank you so much for this I had so much fun writing it!!
Event Masterlist
Tanaka x fem!reader + theme park + soulmate au + scarf kiss
Okay so for this soulmate AU I couldnât choose which one I wanted so I choose both of these hopefully you like it haha
1. Colors of things or places your soulmateâs been/touched are brighter and more vivid.
2. Whenever you lose an item (like a sock), it ends up in your soulmatesâ possession somehow
For spring break you and your friends decided to take a group to a theme park a couple towns over. It was perfect except for the fact the fact that it was a cool spring day.
âHey Yui! Have you seen my scarf?â You were searching your room frantically. Since it was a little chilly you wanted to wear your scarf instead of a jacket since youâll be outside all day.
âI havenât. When was the last time you saw it?â She asks from her spot on your bed doing her makeup.
âJust a few days ago! I had washed it because it fell in the mud, remember?â
She nods putting the mascara wand back and twisting it closed âmaybe your soulmate has it nowâ
You groan and flop backwards on a pile of clothing âyouâre probably right. It was my favorite too.â
âDonât they also have your favorite daisy earrings, your tamagotchi, and the left shoe of your favorite heals you wore to prom?â
You chuckle âyeah they do. I hope theyâre taking care of my tamagotchi babyâ
âThose things are so old I canât believe you still took care of it religiouslyâ
âIt was my baby! It was my job to take care of it!â
She laughs and rolls her eyes âwhat do you have of his?â
âUuuhhhâ you look around and start grabbing random things âthis little volleyball charm I keep meaning to put on my keys. This sweatshirt that has a bleach stain but is obviously super loved. And this water bottleâ you take a drink from it and Yui looks at the bottle, feeling that sheâs seen it somewhere.
She shakes her head âanyway. Are you ready? We have to go soon if we want to meet the rest of the groupâ
You sigh and pull yourself up to sitting again âyeah Iâm ready. Iâm just gonna go with no jacket or scarf and hopefully the thrill of the theme park will keep me warmâ
âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸
âIs this yours?â Tanaka asks Saeko and she shakes her head ânope!â She says with a pop on the p sound âmust be your soulmateâs againâ Tanaka felt his stomach fill with butterflies. He wraps the scarf around his neck as he heads out the door, noya and the other guys waiting for him on the doorstep âsee you later little bro! Do what I would do and have some fun!â Saeko calls out with a laugh
âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸âď¸ď¸
âWho else is gonna be here?â You ask as you slip the volleyball charm on your keys, the water bottle in the side pocket of your backpack as you walk towards the theme park gates from the car
âThe boys VB club, the rest of our club, and a few guys from other schools that the boys invitedâ Yui says as you get to the line
âAre we meeting them somewhere?â You ask and she nods
âFor lunch we are all supposed to meet up at the pizza place by the dragon ride. Or at least thatâs what Noya told meâ
You smile âso then we have a few hours to do what we want!â
You ride the crazy rides first, screaming beside Michimiya as they twist and turn and make you feel dizzy. âThis is the best dayâ you say after you stumble off the dragon ride, dizzy and not able to walk in a straight line. âBut the pizza place is right there so letâs go claim a table before it fills upâ
You were the first ones you guys knew at the pizza place, claiming the largest table as you waited for the rest of the group.
Asahi and Daichi came first, Daichi sitting right next to Yui and chatting like usual. Part of you hoped they would be soulmates but Yui said the things she has donât belong to him and the yellow flip flop he had wasnât hers.
Boys you didnât really recognize came next, filling in around the table as some went to order. Noya and Tanaka came next just as a chill from the breeze went through you. âY/n how come you donât have a jacket?â Noya asks as he sits beside you. âI wanted a scarf but I lost mine today so I decided Iâd rather be a little cold than have to carry around a jacket all dayâ
Tanakaâs ears perked up. You lost a scarf? He wanted to rush over to you and ask if you also lost daisy earrings and a shoe and a tamagotchi? But he controlled himself and sat across from you, his hands messing with the ends of the scarf around his neck.
You noticed Tanakaâs scarf, but that couldnât be yours, it was too vivid of a red to be yours. Yours was plain red, a muted color you liked.
When you all got up to finally order, Tanaka pulled Noya aside âswitch me seatsâ he said and Noya raised his brows âokay. Why?â
âBecause she lost a scarf. And thisâ he holds out the ends âisnât mine. It just showed up today.â
âShe could be your soulmate?!â Noya exclaims and places his hands on Tanaka shoulders, jumping in excitement âthatâs amazing!!â
Tanaka hushes him âkeep calm bro. This might just be a coincidence. I need to do some reconâ noya grins âoooh right right right okay okay. You got it! Let me know if I can do anythingâ
Tanaka sits beside you at the table and you raise your eyebrows at Noya across from you. He just grins and takes the biggest bite of pizza youâve ever seen, making you laugh.
Tanaka places a bottle of water next to your plate and you cover your mouth, still chewing a little as you ask âis that for me?â You meet his eye and he nods, a blush on his ears.
âThank you Tanaka!â You say place your hand on his forearm that was on the table, giving it a light squeeze.
âNo problem y/nâ he takes another bite of his pizza.
You pull out your water bottle from your bag and unscrew the top, pouring the water he got you into your bottle, empty from the first half of the day.
âTANAKA!â Noya shouts and you look up at him with a confused look âyes? Noya?â Tanaka says stiffly, trying to get him to shut up and calm down. His eyes said âyes. I see it. Be cool dudeâ
âUuuh I was thinking we should uhhh GET COTTON CANDY!â He tries to cover it and nods proud of himself, you look to Tanaka and he looks a little nervous but responds with the same amount of excitement âyea!! I agree!! I love cotton candyâ
You chuckle softly, pushing your empty plate away âI like the pink kind bestâ you say with a smile and Tanakaâs heart starts to race at how cute you looked.
âNo way! The blue kind!â He says back and rocks his shoulder playfully into yours
âNo the blue kind tastes like itâs just trying to hard to be better than pink. Itâll never winâ
âWanna bet?â He asks and you laugh
âWhat are we betting?â
âHow about we decide that after we see who wins?â
âOoh I like it. More of a riskâ you say with a laugh âyouâre onâ you hold out your hand and he takes it with a firm shake.
âWhat ride should we hit next?â Yui asks and she pulls out the park map, unfolding it and placing it on the table.
âHow about we go in a huge circle around the back that way we can hit the cotton candy stand hereâ you point to the back of the map âthen we can hit all the best ones on our way outâ
Tanaka watched as your finger traced a path on the page, watching as the colors of the paper changed with your touch, becoming more vivid and bright. He gasped softly and you looked over to him
âDid you have a different idea?â You ask and he shakes his head, you thought it was weird that he was being so quiet but you didnât pry.
The rides on this side of the park were slower and more interactive. You had fun shooting lasers through one ride, then number cars the next, feeling special every time Tanaka wanted to sit beside you.
you get to a teacup ride and Tanaka takes your hand when the gates open, leading you directly to the blue one in the middle. You laugh as he pulls you along.
âAre you ready for this?â He asks with a grin and you laugh, nodding as the music began and the ride started. His hands move to the wheel in the middle and for a moment you think it actually changes colors. His hands moved the wheel as fast as he possibly could, making your world spin and making you laugh uncontrollably. The wheel he was turning was such a vivid shade of blue now but you didnât know if it wasnât always like that.
Tanaka loved the sound of your laughter, it was beautiful, like a song just for him. When the ride ended he took note of your messy hair and the tears from the corner of your eyes from laughing so hard. You looked like an angel. His angel.
As you wait for the ride to stop completely you just look at each other, panting from laughing so hard with smiles on your faces. It was like the world stopped and gave you two this special moment.
âCome on kids! Cotton candy time!â Noya shouts as the doors to the teacups open and everyone shuffles out.
Tanaka exits first, holding his hand out to help you which you gladly take. Smiling and feeling your cheeks heat under his soft gaze.
âReady to lose this bet?â He asks and squeezes your hand but doesnât let it go as you walk behind your friends
âI donât know Tanaka, are you?â
He laughs âIâm ready to winâ he says with a goofy grin and you felt your heart race.
You didnât really know what was happening. You and Tanaka were friends but you hadnât been this flirty before. Heâs told you that you were gorgeous but most of the time he was all over Kiyoko asking her if sheâs got any of his lost items. (She hadnât. Her soulmate wa someone from a different school who sheâs already met)
âYou get blue. Iâll get pink. And then we will share and compareâ you say as you wait in line at the stand
âNo lying. Say what you honestly thinkâ he adds and you laugh
âOf course. No cheatingâ
Noya behind you speaks up âbut they also have green and yellow. What if those are better?â
You and Tanaka speak at the same time âtheyâre notâ
Making you laugh and making noya wanna vom at how cute it was.
You get your cotton candy and drop his hand to open your bag, humming in delight when you popped a bit in your mouth. âPink is definitely betterâ you say and offer him some but something beeps in his pocket and his hands are a little occupied with holding his blue cotton candy and fishing around in his pocket he just opens his mouth with a little smile and sparkle in his eye.
You donât miss a beat, placing the bit of, to his eye vibrantly pink, cotton candy on his tongue and accidentally brushing his bottom lip when you pulled away your hand.
âYeahâ he says âpink is amazing. But just wait for blueâ he pulls out the thing he was looking for in his pocket and it was a pink tamagotchi. âSorry. Gotta feed it tooâ he says and you laugh
âitâs fine. I had one of those before but I lost it. I think my soulmate has it and I just hope they are taking care of my little guyâ you watch as his thumb presses the buttons. That couldnât be yours. It was too bright of pink. You had a lighter pink version.
âHey whatâs that?â Yui asks when she comes to chat with you âhe has a tamagotchi too isn't that cool?â You say and she nods âthatâs pretty neat. Yours is pink tooâ you shake your head ânot that pink though! Itâs vibrant and mine is lighter than thatâ Michimiya gives you a look like youâre the stupidest girl sheâs ever met and you raise your eyebrows âwhat?â She shakes her head with a laugh and changes the subject
âSo what color is better?â
You gasp and turn to Tanaka who has a mouth full of blue already and you laugh at him, cheeks flushing s little because of how oddly adorable it was.
âLet me tryâ you say and he pulls off a piece, raising it to your lips and you smile and let him feed you, feeling your face heat even more.
âPink is betterâ you say just as he says âBlue is betterâ making you laugh and making Yui give you a smile before she quietly left you guys to figure it out.
âI donât think you had enough pinkâ you say and he shakes his head âI think your taste buds are brokenâ you gasp âhey!â You say and playfully slap his shoulder. He smirks and you watch as he places a vibrantly blue piece of cotton candy into his mouth.
âTry some more pinkâ you say and hold your bag out to him, finally beginning to realize that the colors arenât just random.
He takes a piece of your candy and you withhold a gasp from the way it changed from normal pink to vibrantly pink.
âOkay okayâ he says after a few more bites and then comparing them side by side âI think youâre right. Pink is betterâ
He looks up to you, finding you wide eyed and staring quietly at his hands âare you okay?â He asks and you shake off your shocked feelings. Warmth and excitement taking their place in your heart.
âSo since I won that means you need to do something for me, right?â You ask and he nods
âWhat can I do for you, malady?â He asks and you chuckle at his goofy ways.
âMaybe you could give me back my scarfâ you say softly and he gasps âyou figured it outâ he said and you nod with a laugh
âIt took me almost all day but I finally realizedâ
âThat weâre soulmatesâ he finishes for you with a dopey grin and you nod âyeah. That were soulmatesâ
You donât know when all your friends abandoned you but you werenât really worried. You take your backpack off one shoulder and open it, storing your leftover candy as well as his.
âSo. What now?â You ask with a laugh and he shrugs âI. I donât know. I didnât think past this.â
âHow about..â
You reach up and take a hold of the scarf, he assumes to take it off him but he gasps when you pull him down to your level with it âhow about this?â You suggest and bring your lips an inch away from his
âYes. Yes I like thisâ he says and cups your cheeks as he connects your lips together.
The moment his lips touched yours it was like the sky exploded. Your body tingled and you saw vibrant colors behind your eyelids as he kisses you, quick peppering of pecks across your lips to make you chuckle before you wrap your arms around his neck and melt into him. Your tongues and lips moving together as the rest of the world melts away.
âOkay.. grossâ a small child said in passing and you break apart to start laughing with him. âIt wasnât grossâ he says with a hurt expression but you just guide him back down to give him one last peck. âCome on, soulmate. Letâs go meet back up with our friends so we donât miss out on the dragon rideâ
âSo you should have my vb keychain and my hoodie as wellâ he says and you nod âand you should have my daisy earrings and my shoeâ he nods âamazingâ he says softly and you return his smile. âIâm glad itâs youâ he says and you raise your eyebrows âreally? Youâre not sad itâs not Kiyoko?â You look down and he reaches out to tilt your face back up to look at him âIâm so glad itâs you. Kiyoko was a crush. But you, everything is so much brighter now. I feel like my world has changedâ
You spot Noya first and he runs up to Tanaka âso?â He asks and you laugh âdid you know?â You ask and he nods âthe water bottleâ he says and you laugh, forgetting all about that.
You spent the rest of the day holding his hand and flirting, watching as colors of things changed when he touched them and experimenting with it. You rode the crazy rides one last time as you held his hand as he sat next to you. When it came time to leave, him and noya ask to ride back with you guys and you canât hide your excitement.
Noya takes the passenger seat while Yui drives and you sit in the back with Tanaka. Within ten minutes youâre both passed out and cuddled into each other and Yui canât help but smile. She couldnât wait to find her soulmate and couldnât help the twinge of jealousy she felt that you found yours first.

Out of our heads Out of our minds
So evil writer brain decided to cook up and incredibly toxic kitty fic because apparently I'm a terrible person lol. Blame @ilikebooks8 for letting this see the light of day.
The title is based on the song Out of this world by Bush.
Cw: slightly nsfw, violence, cheating, incredibly toxic behavior, beloved characters making bad choices, and implied sex.
Kit returns.
He returns to Ty with the same dazzling smile and charming witt, only now he seems to have grown even more impossibly beautiful as time has passed.
Now he's all hard lines and defined muscles and piercing sinful blue eyes that make Ty so angry he could scream.
Kit laughs and Ty wants to tear his insides out. Wants to rip Kit's heart right out if his chest just like he did to Ty. The painful gnawing rage of a betrayal that still stings after all this time. And yet still, Ty heard Kit was in danger and he came running like a man obsessed.
Ty knows deep down now matter how angry he is, he could never let anything happen to Kit. Nothing permanent anyways. Sometimes when the ache becomes to difficult to bare, Ty imagines punching that stupid smirk right off of his face. Or choking him hard enough to leave bruises. Of course Ty would never actually do such a thing. The sight of Kit in pain, any sort of pain is just too unbearable.
And that's the worst part. No matter how angry Ty gets he knows it can't last. And no matter how painful it is to be near Kit again, he still feels this unexplainable pull. This whispering in his ear to get closer and closer. To reach out and touch.
But it's stupid, and it's wrong anyways because Ty already has someone. Anush who was by his side the whole time at the scholomance and has never betrayed him. Anush who is sweet and thoughtful and gorgeous. Ty should be happy. After all, wasn't this what he always wanted? Someone to be there for him?
So he tried to distract himself from Kit by throwing himself into spending time with Anush and working the case. That's all Kit was now, just the latest problem to solve. A supernatural disaster. They would save him and stop the oncoming war and everything would be fine.
And then Kit would be gone. Blind panic teared at Ty's insides at the thought. There were these moments with Kit where they would make eye contact, or they would bump into each other in the kitchen and their fingers would brush and Ty would just desperately want to wrap Kit in his arms again.
He wanted to ask if Kit had really meant what he said that day on the beach. Sometimes when Kit stared at him with that soft sad smile on his face Ty wondered if they were going through similar things. Sometimes Ty wanted to tell him that he wished he had never met Kit either.
Kit Herondale was dangerous and unpredictable and loving him was like holding a live wire. But funnily enough the same could probably be said about Ty. Especially lately.
He felt like he was constantly in pain. Like his body ached with invisible wounds that made it impossible to breathe. The world was brutal and unforgiving, berating him with constant noise and blinding lights jabbing hot pokers into his brain. And the people with their sickly sweet smiles as they demanded he bare his soul.
But what if there was nothing left anymore? What if his soul had died with Livvy? Ty tried to cling onto the things that made him feel better. He hid away in his favorite spot, listening to his favorite music and pouring over Sherlock. Repeating the words to himself over and over again like they could pull him out of this tailspin. Ty distracted himself with Anush's sweet kisses and wandering hands as he tried to turn his brain off for once in his life.
But his soul was screaming out for another person to be the one touching him. He wanted Kit and that was infuriating. It made no logical sense. Not only was Kit responsible for breaking his heart but he also was notorious for playing fast and loose with his own life. Ty couldn't spend all his time constantly feeling like his heart was living outside of his body. Constantly in danger of being ripped open by some dark and evil thing.
Ty had everything he thought he wanted. But it still wasnt enough.
During another sleepless night, Ty found himself wandering the institutes halls. At this point he was simply just overtired. Too many nights spent worrying or studying or reading instead of sleeping. Now his body doesn't remember how to rest. Ty was far too exhausted to operate on logic or reason so he found himself standing outside of Kit's door, wondering absentmindedly how he got there.
Ty placed his hand against the door, fighting the urge to open it and walk through. He can remember the first time he waited outside of Kit's door, just like it was yesterday. He had no idea at the time why he was so drawn to the mysterious boy who had shown up at the institute after Ty had threatened him with a knife. The boy who turned out to be a lost Herondale. And honestly after all of this time Ty still couldn't explain it.
This is a bad idea, He thought to himself as he slowly turned the doorknob. This is a terrible idea. Ty, driven by pure need like fire under his skin, pushed the door open.
Kit was awake as Ty suspected he would be, sitting by the window and staring out into the night sky. Under the moonlight he was glowing. He turned around to stare at Ty, first with a look of shock, and then that same hallow desperation Ty had been seeing on Kit's face lately.
He also looked angry.
"What the hell are you doing in here Ty?" He sounded exhausted. Ty almost felt guilty in a sense. He stared at Kit for a moment, unsure of what to say.
"I don't know," he whispered, staring at the ground. "I suppose I was compelled." Ty let his gaze slowly rise up Kit's body, drinking it in.
Kit scoffed harshly. "Compelled? By what exactly, Tiberius?"
Ty looked up at Kit's face in surprise. He rarely called Ty by his full name. Ty really didn't like how it felt. Cold and distant. Ty sighed, pushing his fingertips against his collarbone and tracing it slightly.
"I don't know. I guess I just needed to know. I need to know why you left me." Ty tried not to let himself sound desperate or weak, but he had become worn down by this point. He couldn't keep up his defenses much longer.
"Why didn't you want me?" He muttered. "Why wasn't I good enough?"
And there it was. The painful truth that Ty had been avoiding. The fact that Kit had tossed him aside just like so many had before. Like Paige. Like his father. He had always tried so hard to make people happy. To live up to their expectations. But in the end it didn't matter how hard he tried, sometimes there was just no pleasing certain people.
Sometimes it seemed like there was no point in being good and following the rules if nothing ever changed. If Ty always ended up in the same place. If people always saw him as a problem or an inconvenience or worse, then he could just live up to their expectations. Be selfish and cold and cruel because no amount of begging and smiling was going to earn him respect.
Kit glared at him in shock. "Who the hell do you think you are? Coming in here to play mind games with me?" Before Ty could register what was happening, Kit was storming towards him and shoving him up against the wall with a loud thunk.
The feeling of Kit touching him again after all this time was dizzying. Kit was shorter then him so he needed to crane his neck a little to look up at Ty, which meant that his throat was completely exposed for Ty to stare at.
"I told you how I felt and you did nothing! You ignored me!" Kit cried. "I wanted you more then I've ever wanted anything Ty! I still do!" Tears were streaming down his face. Ty stared at Kit, completely frozen. His wrists were pinned to the wall by Kit's hands and their faces were inches apart.
Ty struggled to collect himself. "I didn't know what was going on," he gasped out shakily. "I was a mess Kit. I just had to get her back. But-." He cut himself off. It was all for nothing. Ty had lost Livvy in the end and he had lost Kit as well.
Ty shook his head. "Does this mean that you love me?" His voice sounded so far away. Like the words were being pulled from some unexpected place within him. Kit let out a soft gasp and squeezed his eyes shut before fixing his expression into a blank slate. He leaned forward slightly so that their lips were just barely touching, then gently trailed his mouth across Ty's cheek to his ear.
Ty felt him smirk slightly before Kit whispered in his ear. "Go to sleep Ty. Go back to your boyfriend."
And before Ty had time to think, he was lashing out. He shoved Kit backwards as hard as he could with a snarl. Kit went flying across the room and slammed into the opposite wall. If Kit had been human it probably would have knocked him out. Ty stared in horror at what he had done as Kit clutched his ribs and groaned.
"You seriously have some anger management issues!" Kit snapped at him, glaring pointedly. Ty knew that. When he was younger he used to have fits of uncontrollable rage all the time. Words didnt come easily to him so he would hit, scratch, bite or throw whatever was closest to make people realize he was in pain. When he wanted to say "don't touch me" or "you hurt my feelings" but he just could make the words form properly, he would get angry. And then he would lash out.
Ty thought he had been getting better at managing his emotions and communicating. But there was something about Kit Herondale that just evaporated every last bit of logic and reason he had until all that was left was the urge to scream.
Ty gaped in shock, searching for the right thing to say. "By the angel Kit, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do that I swear!" He pleaded. His fingers were beginning to shake and flutter at his sides. He tapped desperately against his thigh, scratching at the material of his sweatpants to try and calm himself down.
Kit just shook his head and laughed humourlessly. "Honestly Ty, we should just tell the Seelie Queen not to worry. And Janus, and all the other people who want the first heir dead. You'll destroy me just fine on your own." He gaze was piercing and ruthless.
Ty's breathing was frantic and erratic as he shook in agony. He could feel he was on the urge of a meltdown.
Kit pulled himself to his feet. He stared at Ty longingly and then smiled slightly. A genuine smile. "But honestly what a way to go. Does that answer your question sweetheart?"
Ty gasped soundlessly, his hands shaking at his sides. He fought to get a hold of himself. Kit studied Ty for a moment, then slowly began to approach him.
"Why are you here Ty? Why did you come here exactly?" Kit was speaking in a soft lulling voice as if he was trying to hypnotize Ty.
"I'm here because I miss you," Ty admitted. "It's confusing. Because I'm still mad at you. But I can't stop thinking about you." Ty felt as though he was close to crying, which was concerning because he rarely ever cried.
Only for Kit.
Kit scowled at him slightly. "You're with someone else, remember?"
Guilt instantly pierced through Ty's chest. "Yeah I know, I'm a terrible person," he said bitterly. He didn't want to admit to himself that he had been trying this whole time to distract himself from Kit. That he was using Anush. But that was technically true. Ty saw the opportunity to lose himself in a pretty boy with an honest smile who loved him wholeheartedly.
Ty thought he could forget but then here he was. All roads led to Kit Herondale.
Kit sighed and reached for Ty, wrapping his arms around him and pulling him close. "You arent terrible. You're spiraling. And you come to me like I can save you from yourself? Please," Kit chuckled. "I can barely save myself."
"I don't need you to save me."
Kit stared at him with an expression that was hard to place. Then he smiled, but it wasnt a kind smile. It was a satisfied, knowing smirk. Kit traced his thumb under Ty's chin then back up to his lips, forcing them to part slightly.
"You think I don't know why you're here love?" He cooed in a voice that was both soothing and alluring. You think I don't know what you're after?" Kit sighed, sounding a little worn down. "If I was a better person, a stronger person. I would tell you to leave." He dipped his hands down underneath Ty's shirt.
Ty shivered at the cold feeling against his skin. He dropped his forhead down to lean against Kit's, revealing in the contact. "Lucky for you," Kit whispered against his lips, "I'm not."
Ty felt the last string of his self control snap as he kissed Kit roughly, grabbing onto his torso and pulling him closer. Kit responded to the kiss eagerly, parting his lips for Ty and laughing deliriously as their lips met again and again.
Kit was tearing off Ty's shirt as he walked him backwards, closer to the bed. As soon as he had slid it off if Ty's body, Kit tossed the shirt aside and went back to kissing him. Ty felt his knees hit the bed frame and he fell backwards onto the soft welcoming mattress, pulling Kit down with him.
Kit kissed a line down Ty's neck to his pulse point and Ty groaned, burying his fingers in Kit's curls. He was lost in a sea of pure desperation.
"Tell me to stop," Kit whispered between kisses. Ty froze for a moment. Then he understood.
Kit was giving him an out.
Ty responded by pulling Kit even closer and letting his head fall back against the pillows.
He closed his eyes and let Kit Herondale ruin him.
The morning after was the hardest. Ty pulled himself from Kit's arms and forced himself not to look back.
And that was when he finally cried.

Every Time You Leave
Synopsis: Steve Rogers and Reader are engaged. Steve has been on a longer mission and Reader misses him.
So, been thinking about writing this for awhile. This was inspired by Every Time You Leave by I Prevail. I just love this song. This was supposed to be something short and ended up as over 3k words (whoops). This is not suitable for those under 18. This is my first time writing smut, so sorry for any awkwardness. Did not originally intend on writing smut, but it just kinda happened.
Pairings: Steve Rogers x Reader
Warnings: angst, fluff, smut, cursing
Word count: 3.2k
This is the song:Â https://youtu.be/5KDR0M-Edrg
Y/n and Steve were sitting on the couch together, watching a movie. They were at their home about 15 minutes from the compound. They had moved there a few months ago after Steve proposed. Steve wanted them to have their own space. Y/n was cuddled up to Steve, his arm around her shoulders. They had a blanket draped over their laps. Steve had just gotten back from a 3 week mission a few hours ago. Y/n had missed her fiancĂŠ fiercely. She couldnât stop looking up at his face, still not believing he was finally home.
Steve had a soft smile. âYouâre staring, Sweetheart.â
âCanât help it. Missed you so much. I always feel like a piece of me is missing while youâre gone on missions.â Y/n felt tears burning in her eyes. She placed her head in the crook of his neck and hugged him tight.
Steve felt his heart break. âI didnât know you felt that way.â
Y/n quickly looked up, sensing his distress. âI donât say it to make you feel bad. I know itâs your job and I am so proud of all the good you do. And, as long as you love what you do and it makes you happy, I support you 100 percent.â
Steve placed a kiss on Y/nâs forehead. âI know. And I want you to talk to me when youâre feeling like this. I just want to know how I got so lucky as to have such a wonderful woman like you.â
Y/n snorted. âI think Iâm the lucky one here. As that guy at the Apple store said,â Y/n leaned back to gesture at Steve. âSpecimen.â
Steve started uncontrollably laughing. âI wish I never told you that story. That was so awkard.â
Y/nâs eyes sparkled at Steveâs laughter. âSeriously, Steve, you are kind, smart, funny, and just all around wonderful. Part of me wishes to go back to the 40s to slap some sense into those girls for never giving you a chance. But, their loss, my gain.â
âYouâre just saying that because you love me. I wasnât much to look at before the serum.â
âUh, Steve, I saw pictures. You were gorgeous. Your smile and eyes are my favorite features of yours. Those girls were too stupid to see the amazing guy you are.â
Steve felt his cheeks heat up. âYup, Iâm the lucky one, Doll.â He quickly pulled her close and started placing numerous kisses all over her face. Y/n squealed and squirmed.
âSteve!â Y/n yelled, laughing.
The blanket fell to the floor as Steve maneuvered them to laying down on the couch, with Steve hovering over Y/n. He grabbed her hands and held them above her head. He looked down at her with a smile. Y/n moved her leg so it was hitched onto Steveâs hip.
âKiss me,â Y/n said with love in her eyes. She was smiling softly.
âWith pleasure.â Steve leaned down and touched his lips to Y/nâs, softly at first. The kiss quickly became heated, Steve still holding her hands above her head with one hand. He moved his other hand along her body. Y/n let out a little moan and ground her hips against his.
Steve gripped Y/nâs hip and let more of his weight fall onto her. He broke the kiss and started kissing down her neck. When he found her sweet spot, Y/n started to let out a loud moan. She quickly bit her lip to keep the noise down. Steve moved his hand to cup her jaw, his thumb pulling her lip from her teeth. He looked deep in her eyes, his desire darkening his eyes.
âI want to hear those moans, Baby girl. Donât hold back.â He quickly went back to her sweet spot, determined to make her come undone. His hand made its way down Y/nâs body and moved to her ass. Steve ground his hips into Y/nâs, nipping just under her jaw.
âFuck, Steve.â Y/n moaned. âI need to touch you.â She tried pulling her hands from Steveâs steel grip, but he wouldnât budge.
âNot yet, Baby. I wanna make you feel good,â Steve asked, his lips next Y/nâs ear. His hand moved to the front of her shorts and slipped in, reaching down into her panties. His finger slipped into her folds, feeling her wetness. Steve groaned. âAlready so wet for me.â His pointer finger teased her clit, sending electricity through her body.
âSteve!â Y/n panted. Her hips bucked up into his hand. âMore, please!â
Steve slid his finger into her heat. His palm rubbed against her clit. âMore? How many fingers can you take?â Steve asked as he slid another finger in.
âOh fuck, Steve!â
âSo tight around my fingers.â Steve started to pump his fingers in and out. Y/nâs hips moving with his hand.
âSteve please! I need you.â Y/n begged. Steveâs scent filled her senses. He kissed her while rubbing against her G-spot. âPlease! I canât wait for you.â
Steve let go of her hands, reaching down to take off her shorts. Y/n immediately put her hands in his hair, pulling him close for a desperate kiss. One of her hands reached down and undid his pants, reaching in to pull his cock out. She ran her thumb over his tip, spreading the precum that had dribbled out. Steve ripped her shorts and panties off quickly. Y/n gasped at the action.
âSteve! I liked those shorts!â
âIâll buy you new ones.â He hitched her leg over his hip and guided his cock to her slick heat. His cock nudged against her clit. They both moaned at the feeling. With one quick thrust, Steve sheathed himself into Y/n.
Y/nâs back arched into him, her fingers clawing down his back. âOh my God, Steve!â
Steve stayed still for a few moments, letting Y/n get used to him. She clenched her walls to let him know he could move. Steve started a slow pace, quickly gaining speed.
âHarder, Steve! Please!â
Steve started thrusting harder at her pleas. âLike that, Baby?â
âOh God, Steve! Just like that!â Y/n threw her head back in pleasure. She moved her hips to take him deeper. âYou feel so good!â she moaned out.
âAm I filling you up, Baby? You missed my cock?â
âYes!â Y/n could feel tears filling her eyes, overwhelmed by how good Steve felt in her.
âFuck, Y/n. Iâm not gonna last long. You feel too good.â Steve reached down and harshly rubbed circled on her clit to bring her to her high. His pace stuttered slightly, signaling how close he was.
Y/n could feel the pressure building. âIâm not gonna last much longer either, Baby.â
With three more thrusts, they came together, Steveâs cock shooting hot spurts of his seed deep inside Y/nâs womb. Y/n could feel him twitching inside her. Steve crashed his lips to Y/nâs, his tongue immediately entering her mouth. He slowed his hips down to draw out the pleasure. They broke the kiss, looking into each other eyes.
âI love you, Y/n.â
âI love you too, Steve. I feel bad for asking this, but maybe no more missions for maybe a month? As much as I enjoy our reunion sex, I would like to have more time with you, especially since weâre supposed to be planning a wedding.â Y/n felt shy in asking.
Steve felt guilt settle in his stomach. âIâm sorry, Darling. I know Iâve been called away a lot lately. Iâll make the request first thing tomorrow.â
âI donât want you to get into trouble and I know youâre valued. I just, Iâve missed you so much.â
âI wonât get in trouble. This last mission was pretty hard on me. I think with how hard Iâve been working, I deserve some time to spend with my amazing fiancĂŠe.â
Y/n threw her arms around his shoulders, her face in his neck. âThank you, Steve. As long as it wonât be a problem.â
âOf course it wonât. Theyâll understand. Now, letâs head to bed, shall we? I think I need a few more rounds of reunion sex.â Steve nipped just below Y/nâs jaw.
âYou read my mind.â
Steve pulled out of Y/n and stood up. He picked her up in his arms and carried her to bed, where he made up for his absence several more times.
The next morning Steve walked into the compound, looking for Tony. He had a speech ready to explain why he was taking time off. He had figured since everyone knew he and Y/n were getting married, taking some time to just stick with training and not going on missions for awhile would not cause any problems.
As he walked into Tonyâs lab, Tony looked up from where he was sitting. âHey Capsicle. I hope you brought your suit, we leave for a mission in 4 hours.â
âWhat are you talking about, Tony? I just got back yesterday. I canât go on another mission right now.â
âSorry, Furyâs orders. Last minute thing. Weâre all ordered to go.â Tony paused, seeing the distress on Steveâs face. âI know you just got back. If it makes you feel better, this mission is only supposed to be a few days.â
âNo, it doesnât make me feel better. When was anyone going to tell me about this mission? Am I really needed?â
âUnfortunately yes. And Fury told us about it last night, but we knew you were home with Y/n and didnât want to disturb you. Give you at least one night uninterrupted.â Tony approached with a manila folder. âHereâs the mission brief.â
Steve wiped his hand down his face and took the folder. âHow am I supposed to do this to Y/n? I promised her I would take a break.â He flipped through the pages in his hand, seeing that he was, in fact, needed for this mission.
Tony looked at his friend. While he normally would make a sarcastic comment, he didnât feel like kicking Steve while he was already down. âWeâll try to keep the mission as short as possible. I suggest you run home to get your suit and break the news to Y/n.â
âAfter this mission, Iâm done. No more missions.â
Steve felt his stomach drop. He couldnât get Y/nâs face from last night out of his head. He knew she wasnât going to be happy. Steve made his way home. As he walked up to the front door of his and Y/nâs home, Steve felt nothing but dread. He didnât want to disappoint her. Steve opened the door, hearing Y/n in the kitchen.
âSteve? Is that you?â
âHey, Baby.â Steve walked to the kitchen. Y/n was placing a tray of cookies on the counter.
âYou were gone less than an hour. Did you decide to take the day off altogether?â
âI, um. I donât know how to tell you this, Baby.â Steve couldnât look Y/n in the eyes. He felt so horrible.
âWhat is it?â Y/n looked at Steve with concern. She moved near him and put a hand on his shoulder.
âI leave for a mission in a few hours. I walked in to tell them I was taking time for us and got handed the brief. I have to go.â Steve felt miserable.
Y/n blinked away tears. Trying to keep her composure, she looked at Steveâs face. She could see how upset he was. âOh.â Y/n tried not to sound too disappointed. She didnât want to make this harder for Steve than it already was.
Steve felt his heart break. He pulled her into his arms and hugged her tight. âIâm so sorry. I know we had that talk last night and Iâm already disappointing you. Iâm so sorry.â
Y/n could feel Steveâs tears drop onto her head. She hugged him back. âItâs the life of a superhero. Sometimes your life isnât your own and you have to save people.â
âAre you mad at me?â
âNo.â Y/n lifted her head. Steve still couldnât look at her, so she put her hands on his cheeks and moved his head so she could look into his eyes. âI canât say Iâm happy youâre leaving so soon after just getting back, but I know itâs part of your job. I know you donât want to go.â
âI donât deserve you.â
âSteve, itâs not about deserving. I love you. And like I said last night, I support you. How long will you be gone for this one?â
âTony said a few days. Weâll try to get it done faster.â
âWell, as much as I want you back with me sooner rather than later, please be safe. Donât be reckless because you want to come home. As hard as it is when youâre away, I donât know if I could handle it if you never came back. Iâd lose a piece of me that I could never get back.â
Steve smiled softly. âIâll always come home to you, Doll.â He kissed her softly. âI gotta get my stuff,â he said sadly.
They let go of each other. Steve went into their room to pack his bag and suit up. Y/n turned to the cookies she had made as a surprise for Steve that night and put some in a container. As she was finishing up in the kitchen, Steve appeared in the doorway. Y/n stared at him, trying not to cry. She made her way over to him and pulled him into a hug. Steve buried his face into Y/nâs neck.
âPromise me youâll be safe.â
âI promise.â
âJust a few days?â
âIf not sooner. Iâm so sorry.â
âSteven Grant Rogers, you have nothing to be sorry for,â Y/n said as she looked into his eyes. âYou have a job, a very difficult job. All I want is for you to be safe and to come home to me.â
âI will.â Steve pulled her in for a dramatic kiss, a tradition they started after Y/n had commented that she loved the idea of a big Hollywood-style kiss. Steve started doing a dramatic kiss when he left and when he came home. As always, when he pulled away, Y/n had a big smile on her face.
âI love you, Steve.â
âI love you too, Y/n.â
Steve left and made his way to the compound. He boarded the quinjet with his teammates.
Two weeks later, Steve still had not come home. Y/n was worried. Since the whole team was on the mission, she had no one to call for news. And Steve also didnât have access to his phone, per usual.
âA few days my ass. I swear, Iâm going to punch those assholes for lying.â Y/n had taken to pacing in the living room. Even though she had work to keep her busy during the days, at nights, she couldnât help her thoughts running wild. She had no idea if Steve or the team were okay.
Though she had been okay for the first few days Steve was gone, the longer it went without word from him, the harder it was to sleep or even eat. Y/n knew she had probably lost a couple of pounds. She would eat what she could but just couldnât eat a full meal. Her stomach was in knots with stress. Looking at the clock, Y/n saw it was late. She decided to just go lay down, even if she couldnât sleep. Y/n grabbed one of Steveâs shirts to sleep in and crawled into bed. She pulled Steveâs pillow closer to her body and spritzed some of Steveâs cologne on the pillow. It helped having his scent near her, even if it wasnât anywhere near as good as the real thing. Y/n felt the tears come, as they did every night. She was so caught up in her crying, that she failed to hear the front door open.
Steve was exhausted and pissed. He couldnât believe that the mission took so long. Luckily, the mission was successful and the worst injuries were some cuts and bruises. But all he could think about was getting home to Y/n. He had already spoken with Fury and Tony, who agreed to give him two months of guaranteed no missions, so he could spend quality time with Y/n. When he walked into their home, he could hear Y/n crying in their bedroom. Steve never felt so horrible as he did in that moment. He set his gear down and started stripping off his tac suit as he made his way to the bedroom. He was so determined to get home to Y/n, that he didnât shower or change. He walked over to the bed and sat down, startling Y/n.
âSteve!â Y/n sat up and moved to pull him into a hug. âWhat the hell?â
Steve held her tight, moving her body to straddle his, so he could hold her as close as possible. He could feel her tears on his chest. âThe mission went sideways. Our intel wasnât good. We got what we needed done, but we had to get the proper intel first before we could move in. Iâm so sorry. We couldnât get word out.â
âWere you injured? Was anyone injured?â
âJust a few cuts and bruises, but nothing serious.â
Y/n cuddled as close to Steve as she could. After a few moments, âSteve?â Y/n sounded hesitant.
âYes, Darling?â
âI, um. I was wondering, did you, um, did you ask to get some time without missions?â
Steve pulled back slightly and smiled at her. âI have a guarantee of at least two months without missions. They will have to do it without me. And Iâm taking the next week off so we have time together. No work. Even if you canât get that time off, Iâll be here, waiting for you every evening.â
Y/n smiled and leaned in for a kiss. âGood. I can at least take tomorrow off. Iâm sure we both need some rest. I couldnât really sleep without you here.â
Steveâs face fell, which Y/n rushed to assure him not to feel guilty. âBaby, donât feel guilty. You couldnât help what happened with the mission.â
âStillâŚâ
âNo, Steve. Iâm just happy youâre home. Thatâs all I really wanted. What do you say we take a nice hot bath, cause, Sweetheart, you kinda smell.â
Steve looked a little sheepish. âI just wanted to get home to you. I didnât shower.â
Y/n laughed. âI kind of guessed, as youâre still wearing your tac pants. So, what do you say? Bath?â
Steve just stood up, supporting Y/n in his arms. He carried her over to the bathroom. He set her on the counter and turned to start the bath. Y/n reached around his waist and undid his pants, helping him out of them while the tub filled with steaming water. Y/n grabbed the lavender bath bomb from the jar she had on the counter and dropped it in. Steve then helped her out of her clothes. Once the tub was filled, Steve stepped in and sat down. Y/n stepped in and settled with her back against Steveâs chest. Steveâs arms came around her and held her close.
âI missed you, Y/n.â Steve placed a kiss on Y/nâs temple.
âI missed you too, Steve.â Y/n leaned her head and kissed Steveâs jaw. âMy missing piece is home.â

Nesta and Cassian are at war. They won't admit they like each other, and are playing a game to see who can get the other more worked up and sexually frustrated and eventually break. Nesta wins by flashing Cassian
This was WAY longer than I intended it to be, I got carried away. Who doesnât when it comes to Nessian? I hope you enjoy this! I also posted it on AO3 here.
It began two weeks ago.
They were at Ritaâs. The night was young, and the alcohol was flowing. Nesta had been looking forward to going out; sheâd spent endless hours editing books throughout the past week. She desperately needed a break, and it couldnât have come at a better time.
Most of her friend group went out that night, sans Feyre and Rhysand. They took âPDAâ to a whole other level. A level that Nesta did not enjoy watching.
Sheâd been doing shots with Amren when her favorite song began to play over the speakers. Nesta gave her best friend a knowing look.
Itâs dance time, bitch, Nesta communicated silently to Amren.
And just like that, the two girls were rushing to the dance floor, stilettos tapping on the wooden floor.
Amren resembled a siren in a deep blue dress that clung to her long legs, the neckline plunging to reveal her impressive assets. Strands of silky black hair framed her dark face, and her plump lips were tilted into a perpetual smirk. Next to her, Nesta was clad in red satin. The dress flowed to her ankles, a long slit revealing the entirety of her bare leg, teasing what lay beneath. Both women were forces to be reckoned with, unrelenting and strong. But together? They could dominate the goddamn world.
Amren had crooked a finger toward Nesta to usher her closer. Nesta happily obliged, a laugh bubbling in her throat as she drunkenly placed her midnight acrylic nails on Amrenâs waist. When the chorus played, Nesta and Amren started moving. Their hips swayed in a tantalizing dance, teasing any man or woman who dared to watch them. This was a typical night for Amren. But Nesta? She had never danced like this before, at least not in public.
Then again, sheâd never been this drunk in public.
Thank you, Svedka.
A laugh escaped her as Amren twerked right in front of Nesta. Amren was infamous for her dance moves, especially the âbooty clap.â Nesta remembered when Elain finally convinced Amren to teach her. They had all laughed at her. So it came as a bit of surprise when Elain nailed it on the first try, her ass shaking more than Amrenâs did. Azrielâs face was priceless; he didnât think anyone noticed, but Nesta saw everything. Including the telling look in his eyes.
Heâs been on her radar since.
Inhibitions thrown out the window, Nesta joined Amren, the pair giggling uncontrollably as they bumped into others on the dance floor. It was packed with people. Nestaâs skin sheened with sweat, her golden hair sticking to the back of her neck.
At that moment, Nesta had felt a pair of eyes roving up and down her body. She didnât even need to look to see who it was.
Cassian and her had become friends. He was the only person (besides Amren) who she hung out with individually. Those instances were few and far between, though. Cassian worked when Nesta was off. Nesta worked when Cassian was off. She couldnât remember the last time it had been just them.
After Nesta had broken up with Tomas just a few months ago, things between her and Cassian were⌠taut. Heâd never been a fan of her ex-boyfriend, especially when Tomas had told her she could no longer talk to Cassian. It ended pretty quickly after that.
Nesta was always aware of the touch of his gaze on her. She sensed it, whether they were at the bar, drinking wine, playing games, or eating dinner. It had become difficult to control the urge to stare right back at him. Not only because he was a sight for sore eyes but also, she loved the way his expression changed when he gazed at her.
Nesta finally looked up to find Cassian watching from the bar, nostrils flared. Undressing her with his eyes.
Jesus fucking Christ, Nesta thought to herself, nearly fanning her face to compensate for the heat that was rushing to her core. He didn't need to know that though.
Nesta simply blew a kiss at him and continued dancing. Now that she knew what was on Cassianâs mind, Nesta faced away from where he stood and began grinding against Amren, who encouraged her with catcalls.
Take that.
Gods, she sounded like a child. Someone needed to stop her.
Just moments later, he approached them. Amren spotted him first, smirking as she took a step away and said, âIâm going to get another drink.â
Before Nesta could ask for another gin and tonic, a strong, familiar hand grabbed Nestaâs arm, and she whipped around to find herself face-to-face with Cassian. Why wasnât she surprised?
Nestaâs cheeks were flushed as she looked up at the towering man with bright eyes. The smirk on her lips was a challenge in and of itself.
âMy turn,â Cassian rumbled.
Nesta didnât argue as she was pulled against his hard body. She clasped her hands on the back of his neck, his hands reaching to grip her lower back. She inhaled his intoxicating scent. She didnât get the chance to do so often. It was like she was getting drunk on an otherworldly drug. Her chest rose and fell with heavy breaths.
Neither of them said a word.
Cassian looked down at her, heat flaring in his eyes. Then, he twisted her in his arms until her back was flush against his broad chest. She nearly melted against his warmth. It was like heâd put her under a spell.
A new song started to play. It was seductive, slow, and wicked. The bass reverberated through Nestaâs chest, amplifying the beating of her heart. Cassian slowly ran his hands down her sides, his face burying into her exposed neck. Nesta gasped when she felt his teeth gently sink down on her skin. Goosebumps formed on her arms.
She heard him chuckle into her skin. Laughing at her. At the reaction he so easily got out of her.
Fine, she thought to herself smugly. Two can play this game.
Nesta pulled even closer as she began grinding her ass against his growing hardness. She drifted down his body as she sunk to the floor seductively, slowly bending up to rub her ass in circles against him. She pulled his hands into her own, guiding them down her waist, past her hips, to the large slit that barely covered her leg. Cassian circled his thumb over her upper thigh.
âIâve been wanting to do this all night,â he whispered into her hair.
âIâve been wanting to do this for months,â Nesta said before she could think.
He turned her around in his arms.
âIs that so?â he murmured, a cocky grin on his face.
Shit. Nesta groaned inwardly as she unintentionally inflated his enormous ego.
âMaybe when we first met. But then you opened your rutting mouth, and any desire quickly vanished.â
He growled. âYouâre not a very good liar.â
âWho says Iâm lying?â she further goaded him. Their chests were pressed against each other, both of them breathing heavily from the tension. Nesta couldnât pull away even if she wanted to.
âYou want this,â Cassian stated. It wasnât a question.
âI bet you want it more.â Nesta couldnât help the words leave her lips. She was a competitive person at nature, but Cassian? There wasnât a word for how far Cassian would go to win a fucking game of ping pong.
âHardly, sweetheart,â he murmured, his thumb tracing her bottom lip. He was confident.
âPlease,â Nesta rolled her eyes, slapping his hand from her face. âI could go my entire life without laying a hand on you.â
He snorted with amusement. âI doubt it.â
Nesta tilted her head up to look him directly in the eye. âTry me.â
âItâs on.â
Nesta knew it was a mistake to say it. She knew he would accept it as a challenge.
And thus began a war between two impossibly competitive, horny friends.
What could possibly go wrong?
A lot. A lot can go fucking wrong.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nesta learned this the next day.
Nesta was roommates with Amren and Elain. Feyre and Rhysand lived next to them, with Azriel and Cassian living across from them. Mor was the only one smart enough to find another apartment complex nearby where she lived with her girlfriend.
Nearly all of them resided in the same apartment, something Amren and Nesta found insufferable. Some days, Nesta seriously questioned the logic of that decision.
Today was one of those days.
She had just returned from work. It was about seven oâ clock in the evening, the sun setting in the clear sky. The apartment was quiet with Amren still at her job and Elain studying in her room. Nesta let out a deep breath, exhaling all the stress she had been carrying.
Just as Nesta was about to get in her pajamas and make pancakes for dinner, someone knocked.
Are you kidding me?
Nesta groaned, her slippers tapping on the floor as she went to greet the person who so rudely interrupted. Nesta threw her hands up in the air when she saw Cassian in her goddamn doorway.
âWhat do you want?â she asked with a frustrated moan.
I mean, really. Who the fuck lives next to all their closest friends?
In all honesty, Nesta had forgotten about their conversation last night. Perhaps it would be considered a debate. Either way, she had been too hungover this morning to even process what had happened.
But now, with Cassian standing in her doorway, she remembered.
Nesta didnât bother to invite him inside as she returned to the kitchen.
âItâs good to see you too, Nesta.â Amusement laced his voice, trailing behind her until he reached the kitchen island. Nesta watched as he leaned back on the counter with ease. He shot her a casual grin. As if he was welcome in her apartment.
Asshole.
âSeriously, what do you want?â Nesta retrieved the pancake mix from the counter.
âMy showerâs broken.â
âAnd?â She began whisking the batter, barely glancing at the man in front of her.
âI need to use yours,â he told her.
Nestaâs head snapped up. âNo way. Go to Rhysandâs.â
âHe and Feyre are on a date,â he said matter-of-factly. Peering into the bowl, Cassian asked, âAre you putting in chocolate chips? I love pancakes with chocolate.â
âUse your spare key,â Nesta rolled her eyes as she stated the obvious, ignoring his question.
âI lost it.â Cassian shrugged his shoulders as if to say, âWhat can you do?â
Nesta stopped whisking the batter and looked up at the arrogant bastard standing in her kitchen. She crossed her arms. âIsn't that convenient.â
âPlease, Nesta. It will only take five minutes.â
Nesta checked the oven clock. If she kept arguing with him, she wouldnât get to eat until eight. And she knew from experience that Cassian didnât give up easy.
âFine,â she stubbornly relented. âThere are extra towels in the linen closet. Donât use Amrenâs shampoo or sheâll kill you.â She shooed him away before he could thank her.
Thirty minutes later, and Nesta was satisfied after eating a shit ton of pancakes. She didnât bother walking to the bathroom and yelling at Cassian, who did not take five minutes. He was still in the damn shower.
Now, with a full stomach and clean dishes, Nesta headed toward her bedroom to finally change out of her work clothes. When she opened the door, she stopped dead at what lay in front of her.
Cassian was in her bed with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was lying against her pillows, hair still damp from the shower. A book rested in his hands.
âHi, sweetheart,â Cassian smirked as he took in her expression.
Nesta willed herself to say something, anything. But the sight of a half-naked Cassian lying in her bed was a sight to behold. One that she wouldnât mind capturing with her camera.
Thatâs when Nesta noticed what he was reading.
No, no no.
âWhy the fuck are you reading my book?â Nesta fumed, beelining to the bed to snatch it from his hands.
Cassian was too quick, though. He held the book out of reach, tsking her. âBut Iâm just getting to the good part."
His grin was wicked as he showed off the cover of an explicitly smutty romance book. It was probably the worst book he could have chosen. It was certainly the most adult book in her collection.
âGive it to me,â Nesta gritted her teeth, blood boiling.
Cassian didnât break eye contact when he slid the book behind his back, hands surrendering in the air. Then those words left his mouth.
âMake me.â
And thatâs when Nesta tackled her half-naked friend in her bedroom.
She didnât know whose limbs were whose as they wrestled with each other, rolling around on her queen-sized mattress, no doubt getting her comforter wet.
It was only thirty seconds into the match when Cassian had her pinned beneath him, their breath mingling with each other.
âWhat a compromising position youâve gotten us into, sweetheart,â Cassian murmured quietly. His hazel eyes scanned her face as if he were trying to read her thoughts.
Nestaâs entire body was flush beneath Cassian. Her pink lips were parted as she stared up at him, golden hair fanning the pillow she laid on. She didnât know what to say... or do. Should she throw him off her and kick him out? Or pull him down and kiss those full lips until the Earth stopped spinning beneath them?
She chose the former.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Four days had gone by since Nestaâs last encounter with Cassian. Sheâd pushed him off her, grabbed her book, and told him to get the fuck out. She had been quite aggressive.
She had no idea where they stood. What were they even doing? What was this sinfully delightful game they were playing? And most importantly, was he only acting like this because of the little challenge between them? Or was it real?
Nesta didnât have the answers to any of her questions. She did, however, know this: If Cassian asked her to go on a date tomorrow, her answer would be yes.
Gods, Iâm knee-deep in shit.
Elain had been quite curious as to what exactly happened that evening in their apartment. She claimed she heard the occasional yelling, but she certainly didnât want to risk going to Nestaâs room and witnessing something she would never be able to unsee.
Nestaâs explanation? âCassian is infuriating and sexy as sin and I hate him.â
Technically, it's the truth.
Today was Friday, meaning it was Feyre and Rhysandâs turn to host potluck. Meaning Cassian would be there. Meaning Nesta didnât know what the hell was going to happen tonight.
Elain, Amren, and Nesta didnât bother knocking as they invited themselves into the apartment. At this point, they had a tradition: Elain baked dessert, Amren supplied the wine, Rhysand concocted the main dish, and Cassian made âsecond dessert.â The latter was established when Mor ate six cupcakes during a dinner several months ago. Six cupcakes. All by herself.
Nesta couldn't help but be impressed.
Everyone had already arrived when they entered. They all greeted each other, placing dishes on the counter top. They all sat down at the dinner table when Nesta realized who was missing.
âWhereâs Cassian?â Nesta blurted out before she could think twice. Amren smirked at her from across the table.
âHe said heâs going to be a couple minutes late,â Feyre explained as she passed the heaving dish of mashed potatoes to Rhysand. âSomething about his asshole boss.â
Everyone filled up their plates with delicious, homemade food and immediately began to dig in.
Nesta didnât listen to their conversations, instead staring down at her phone as she waited for Cassian to arrive. She didnât bother touching her food, at least not until he sat down with a full plate.
Ten minutes later, the door shut as a tall figure entered the dining room. Cassian bowed sarcastically as their friends applauded his late presence.
Nesta couldnât help but notice the exhaustion that shadowed his face. Deep purple bags hung from his eyes, but he smiled nonetheless.
Then he caught sight of Nesta.
Her heart raced in anticipation, waiting for him to acknowledge her. That, or ignore her for the rest of the night.
His smile only deepened as he took her in. Her cheeks flushed with rouge, returning the gesture.
Their friends continued their conversations as Nesta watched Cassian fill his plate to the brim. He approached the table and placed his dinner right next to Nesta. Her brows furrowed.
âThe empty chair is over there,â she pointed to the other end of the table. Cassian didnât acknowledge her as he walked to the other end of the table, picked up the only empty chair, and slid it to the spot next to Nesta.
Everyone watched curiously as Cassian settled down next to her. He shot her a grin, ignoring the fact that he just made quite the effort to be next to her. And it didnât go unnoticed.
âHi,â he greeted her casually, voice rough from hours of working. Cassian nodded to her untouched plate. âNot hungry?â
âNot particularly,â Nesta lied, just as her stomach gurgled with noises of hunger. Cassian raised his brows.
Great.
Nesta sighed. âI was just waiting for you to get here before I started eating. But now that your grumpy ass has arrived, I'm ready to devour this meal.â
She stared down at her food, poking asparagus with her fork as she took her first bite. When she reached for her wine glass, she noticed that Cassian hadnât moved. That he was staring directly at her.
âWhat?â Nesta asked confusedly. âIs there food on my face?â
Cassian simply shook his head, and Nesta looked closer to see the softness of his expression. The tenderness that lay behind his eyes.
âNothing,â he murmured, and continued to eat dinner quietly.
Just ten minutes later, people were grabbing seconds. That's when Cassian leaned down to whisper in Nestaâs ear. âYou look gorgeous tonight.â
Nesta nearly burst out laughing. She wasnât wearing a trace of makeup, and her hair was in a haphazard ponytail. She'd finally learned to practice self-love after years of depression. She could confidently say that she wholly appreciated her body, her curves, her uneven skin tone. But to be called gorgeous when she didn't make any effort into her appearance? Men simply did not function like that.
âYouâre beautiful, Nesta. When youâre wearing that red satin dress or youâre in your work clothes or in your pajamas. Even in a fucking paper bag. Youâre a beautiful woman,â Cassian whispered to her, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. He seemed to read her mind. Nesta was at a loss for words.
Then, he added, âAlso, youâre incredibly fuckable.â
Nestaâs head snapped up to see if anyone heard but no one was looking their way.
âYou think I forgot about our little game?â Cassianâs hand disappeared under the tablecloth and rested on Nestaâs thigh. âYou think Iâd give up that easy, sweetheart?â
Nesta grabbed her wine glass, trying to conceal the shakiness of her hand. She took a large gulp. And another one.
Cassian chuckled deeply in her ear. âYou like when I talk dirty to you, donât you?â
Nesta bit her lip as Cassianâs warm hand travelled further up her thigh, the thin layer of her leggings providing little to no barrier between their skin.
âI wonder what would happen when I talked to you like this - " His hand was just an inch away from her heated core â - and touched you like this?â
Cassianâs hand cupped her, and Nesta barely held back her moan. Elain shot her an odd look, and thatâs when Nesta jumped up and pushed herself from the table.
âI, uh⌠â she stuttered as all her friends looked at her confusing outburst. âI forgot that I⌠ need to fix my toilet. I should go work on that.â
âCanât that wait?â Feyre asked quizzically. She gestured to the chair. âDonât worry about that now.â
âYeah, and I didnât notice anything wrong with the toilet,â Elain piped up, confusion riddled on her freckled face.
Nesta froze. Gods, this was not going well.
âI used it before we left and thereâs definitely something wrong⌠uh, Cassian?â He looked up at where she stood. âCan you help me?â
He didnât even hesitate (Gods bless him) as he got up and strode to her side. âYeah, that sounds serious. Wouldnât want the bathroom to flood.â
The pair stared at each other, entirely baffled at the horrible performance that they were somehow executing.
âCassian doesnât even know how - â
âOkay, bye. Thanks for dinner!â Nesta said loudly, dragging Cassian behind her before Azriel could finish his sentence.
They reached the hallway and let out a deep breath. Nesta looked at Cassian. Cassian looked back at her.
And they burst out laughing.
âYour toilet? â Cassian choked out.
âI didnât see you coming up with anything better!â
Their laughter died down and they remained just inches away in the hallway.
Nesta didnât even have the time to process what was happening as Cassian crossed the short distance between them and backed Nesta into the wall.
âFuck the game,â he growled roughly.
Cassian cupped her cheeks, tilted her chin, and crushed his lips against hers. Nesta moaned in response, gripping his long black hair to tug him closer. She wanted nothing more than for him to carry her into his apartment and fuck her until she could barely move.
Nesta felt Cassian smile against her lips, and the corners of her mouth lifted up. Cassian then gripped her thighs and wrapped them around his waist with ease. Nesta pulled herself into his chest and squeezed her legs around him. He growled into her mouth. They didnât stop kissing.
âI win,â Nesta whispered as Cassian led her to his bed.

We really are hoes for dad cal aren't weđĽşđĽşđĽş
Yâall are most definitely hoes for Dad!Cal, but I am too. Hereâs some more dad!cal to prove it.
Youâre not sure how it happened, but it was officially the first day of preschool for your little one. Out of you and Calum, he was the one who was the most emotional. He stayed up the entire night trying to decide which outfit was going to look the coolest for her first day. He even packed her backpack and made sure she had the perfect lunch, and the perfect snacks. When you finally got yourself out of bed, he had already gotten her up and was helping her get ready. You followed the noise into your daughterâs bedroom and peeked through the door.
She was giggling uncontrollably as Calum brushed through her hair and sang a song to her. When he finished singing, he bent down and kissed her cheek. You leaned against the door frame and Calum reached forward and grabbed a little hair tie, pulling her hair back and putting it into two little pigtails. Calum loved doing her hair, and always tried to take the time to learn new hairstyles. Heâs even gone as far as teaching the other guys how to do their daughterâs hair. He came home beaming that day, saying that he should start teaching a class. Calum kissed the top of her head and looked at her. âYouâre absolutely beautiful, baby girl.â He said while smiling down at her.
She turned towards him, her pigtails swishing in the air. Her shoulders reached towards her ears as she smiled and her cheeks turned a rosy pink. âThank you, daddy.â She said through a quiet giggle. She jumped off the little chair she was sitting in and wrapped her arms around Calumâs legs, holding them as tightly as possible.
Calum reached down and picked her up, placing her on his hip, then kissing her forehead. âI love you,â he said while rubbing his nose against hers. She giggled again and told him that she loved him back. âLetâs go show mama how pretty you look for your first day of school!â With that, you walked away from the door and made your way to the kitchen as quickly as possible.
Just as you opened the fridge and began to pretend that you had been there all along, they rounded the corner into the kitchen. You closed the fridge and gasped at the first sight of your little girl smiling from ear to ear, her Olaf backpack strapped to her back already. âMy goodness, arenât you just the most beautiful little girl, ever!â You exclaimed as she blushed and twisted in shyness, holding on to the polyester pulls of her backpack straps. âAre you ready for your first day, baby?â You leaned towards her and tickled her stomach. She giggled and nodded furiously. âOkay, letâs go then.â
Calum turned the radio up in the car and sang along as your daughter belted the lyrics in the backseat. You laughed, not because it was uncommon for Calum and her to sing together, but because it was always so cute. Calum turned down the radio as he pulled into a parking spot in front of the school. You got out of the car just as Calum did, holding onto your coffee mug. You were one hundred percent that mom that drops her baby off at preschool wearing pajamas and holding onto a coffee mug. Calum was one hundred percent that dad who dressed in his Sunday best to drop his baby off at preschool. Both of you held onto her hands while walking her towards the front door.
Once inside the school, all three of you found her classroom. It was decorated like a thoughtfully planned out preschool classroom. Better than any preschool classroom you couldâve ever imagined. As you were looking at all of the cute posters that lined the wall, Calum called your name. You turned your whole body towards him and he nodded towards your daughter who had found her teacher and immediately became enthralled by her. The teacher grabbed her hand and walked her over to her little desk and her little face immediately lit up. She took her backpack off as slid it into the little slot in the desk. Just as your daughter made herself comfortable, the teacher walked up to you and Calum. âYou must be Mr. and Mrs. Hood. Iâm Miss Larsen, I can assure you that my classroom is an incredibly fun and safe place. If there are any concerns I will call you immediately.â She smiled sweetly and you looked over at Calum with a grin on your face.
Calum had tears lining his eyes, and you stifled a laugh by looking at your feet. He loves that little girl so much that leaving her for a few hours just absolutely kills him. âCan I say goodbye one last time?â Calum asked as Miss Larsen nodded.
âMama, look!â Your daughter held up a pink ruler with her favorite snowman on it smiled as widely as she good.
You raised your eyebrows and widened your eyes, âWow, that is so cool, baby! Did daddy buy that for you?â You took the ruler from her as she nodded furiously. You mouthed a âwowâ at her as you handed it back to her.
Calum squatted down in front of her, holding his emotions in. âYou let Miss Larsen know if you need me or mama and sheâll call us right away, okay?â Her brown eyes stared intently at her father and nodded. âYou have a good day, mama and I will come get you after school. I love you, baby.â Calum opened his arms and she lunged forward, wrapping her tiny arms around his neck. After she let go of him, you squatted down and squeezed her as tightly as you could, giving her a slight shake, earning a soft giggle from her. As she let go, you kissed her cheek and stood up, grabbing Calumâs hand to pull him out of the classroom.
He stopped after the door shut and peaked through the window. You watched him for a second before wrapping one hand around his waist, resting your chin on his back. âSheâs going to be okay, my love.â You mumbled into his back.
âI know,â He said, still looking through the window, âSheâs just growing up so fast.â He turned around in your arm and wrapped his own around your neck.
He placed his chin on the top of your head and you chuckled against his chest. âYouâre going to stare at the time until itâs time to come get her, arenât you?â You looked up at him and cleared the tear off his cheek.
âYou know me so well.â He said, a smirk pulling at his lips, then leaning down and pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.

So Bad, Yet So Good S.S
Hey, could you write an imagine about scott where him and y/n hooked up a while ago (while him and kirsten broke up) and when she finds out she hates y/n and doesnât let scott and her to still be friends and everything between them is awkward even though they secretly have feelings for eachother but now that him and kristen arenât together they could actually express their feelings (they end up doing the nasty again lol).
Warnings: Angst, swearing, SMUT
Masterlist
Scott let out the most attractive moan as he came, he took a moment to recover before pulling out, as he did he groaned. My legs were still shaking, it was undeniably the best sex I had ever had, he wrapped his arms around my torso and just held me, both of us still out of breath. Then in that moment the guilt washed over me, I felt horrible, he had a girlfriend. I was in the bed that they shared, the bed that she would come home to tonight and sleep in. His arm suddenly removed from my body, I turned to look at him and I knew that it had just hit him as well, what we had done, his hands were covering his face. I knew that if I felt as horrible as I did, he must be feeling one hundred times worse. I gently laid a hand on his shoulder, he placed a hand over mine.
âScott...â I wanted to say something, I wanted to make him feel better, but thereâs nothing you can say in this situation to make it okay. âI should probably leave...â he only nodded still not looking at me. I quickly got dressed and fixed my hair, he got dressed as well, and walked me to the door, I stopped and turned, again wanting to say something but decided against it, that was that, once I got to my car, I couldnât help but cry. I had feelings for Scott, I wanted to be with him but nothing could make what we just did okay.Â
Once home I decided I needed to talk to Scott, I wanted to make sure that if nothing else that our friendship would be okay.Â
âHey, I just wanted to check in and make sure you were okay.â I pressed send, and shakily set my phone down. He responded almost immediatelyÂ
âYeah, Iâm okay, but can we just forget that happened? I really cherish our friendship and I donât know how else to deal with this.â As much as it hurt, I knew thatâs what we had to do, I wanted to be able to call him my boyfriend, but Kristen already owned that title.
âYeah, I was thinking the same thingâ I responded back to him and decided that I just wanted the night to be over, so I took a shower and got into bed. I tossed and turned all night, but come 6am I was awake and not falling back asleep, so I turned to check my phone to see I had a ton of missed calls and text messages from last night.Â
6 missed calls from âKristenâ my heart sank, I looked at the text messages she had sent as well
âAre you fucking kidding me? You fucked my boyfriend?â
âNow you wonât even answer the phone? Fuck you!â
âYou are the most disgusting bitch known to man, I fucking hate youâÂ
There were more but that was the gist of them, I looked at the texts from Scott next.
â[Y/N] Iâm sorry, she knows, and sheâs pissed, but listen itâs not your fault, itâs mine, but she doesnât want us to be friends, I have to block you, I hope you understandâÂ
Tears filled my eyes, this felt worse than heartbreak, I decided not to respond to either of them. I couldnât help but let it out, I cried for hours, the kind of cry where you canât breathe, and your heart physically hurts. Once I was able to calm down, my face was red and puffy, and my lips were swollen.Â
I cleaned myself up and checked my phone once again, to see David had invited me over, I decided that I didnât want to be alone right now so I agreed, I got makeup on and got dressed, I still looked as if I had been crying though, on my way to his house I thought of excuses as to why I had been crying, but when actually confronted with the question, all I could think to say was.Â
âOh, you know, it just be like that sometimes.â Which actually worked out well, everyone just laughed and nodded. We had a good time talking and hanging out, I helped film some stuff with David. Then suddenly the door opened and there he was, Scott, I figured there was no way Kristen would allow him to leave the house, but after Scott entered, I realized that she was behind him, I immediately felt a panic attack coming, which was only worsened because I knew that I had no right to be upset in this situation, not only had I betrayed Kristen, but her own boyfriend of more than 5 years had as well. I quickly went to the bathroom, desperate to breathe, it felt as though my throat was closing, the bathroom felt as though it was getting smaller by the second, and my chest was tightening. I heard a knock at the door but I couldnât respond, I knew whoever it was had opened the door but I couldnât even get myself to look up to see who it was. They began shushing then I heard the familiar sound of my favorite song, I knew from that, that it must have been Scott. He was the only one that knew that I play this to calm myself, he also knew not to touch me when I was having a panic attack.Â
âLook at meâ his voice was so calming, I looked up and he guided my breathing, helping to regulate it. It only took a few minutes for him to calm me down. Once I was calm, I wiped my eyes of tears.
âWhat are you doing here? Wonât she be mad?â I whispered, barely audible.
âYeah, but I just needed to make sure you were okayâ He smiled, I could tell that he had also been crying and he looked as if he hadnât slept last night. âI should get back though, are you okay?â I nodded and he left, gently closing the door behind him. I stayed in the bathroom for a few more minutes, trying to get the courage to go back out there, also trying to decide if I should leave or not. I figured it would look really bad if I did leave, so I sucked it up and walked back out, the air in the room was thick, the tension radiating, no one was really talking. Once I stepped back into the living room, everyone looked at me.
âHey, you alright?â David spoke up, I nodded, then I noticed that Scott and Kristen were gone.
âWhereâs Scott and Kristen?â I looked around and everyone looked at each other, finally, Zane pointed to the glass sliding door and I saw that they out there, it looked to be a heated argument, I realized thatâs why it was so tense. I watched as Scott sat with his head in his hands and Kristen flailed her arms wildly, then dropping them, Scott stood and spoke calmly, I couldnât look away and it seemed that everyone else was doing the same as I was, just watching this unfold, then Kristen began hitting Scott, punching at his chest, he didnât even flinch, it didnât seem like it effected him at all. She then stormed off and Scott ran his fingers through his hair, and turned, he saw that everyone was staring, we all tried to turn away and act like we hadnât been but he obviously knew. He then sat down on the couch outside, I didnât know if I should go out there or not but I found myself doing it anyway.
âHey... Are you okay?â I asked quietly, he looked up at me, he wasnât crying, he just looked, blank.
âYeah, I am, actuallyâ He spoke through a sigh âWe broke upâ He said it as if he was stating the weather. I wish I didnât feel as happy as I did, but I was, I was happy. I tried to contain it and maintain my composure.Â
âOh, Iâm sorryâ I tried to sound sad for him.
âThatâs okay, Iâm not... because now, I can do this with a good consciousâ He then stood and pulled me into him and kissed me. We then sat together for a moment before going back inside for him to explain the situation. We walked in together and everyone was talking quietly, but once they saw us the murmurs halted. All eyes on him, I sat down, so that he could explain.Â
âWell, we broke upâ Everyone was surprised most likely because he fought back a smile while saying that. Then the group began apologizing, he just nodded and announced that he was going to leave. I wanted so badly to go with him, but I knew it wasnât the time and everyone would become suspicious, but after another hour, I couldnât wait any longer and announced my departure, and said goodbye to everyone. Once in my car I texted Scott that I was leaving Davids and asked if I could come over, he of course was totally okay with that.Â
I lifted my fist to knock, but before my hand could make contact, the door swung open and Scott pulled me inside. Shutting the door quickly, then slamming me against the door. Kissing me with so much need, I pulled at his hair, making him groan. His hands were all over my body, grabbing roughly at my ass, then at my hips pulling me into him. I began kissing down his jaw to his neck making him moan. He lifted me up without any notice. He brought me to his room, dropping me on his bed, he then pulled his shirt off before crawling on top of me, pushing me back, so that I was now laying. I pulled my shirt off and the way he reacts to my body just makes my confidence sky rocket. I could tell that he was genuinely so turned on by me. Before I knew it I was fully naked, he trailed kisses and hickeys down my torso, building the excitement. Once he was finally down there, he continued teasing me, kissing down my thighs. I uncontrollably bucked my hips desperate for him at this point. He finally planted a kiss onto my clit, he then took a finger sliding it up my entrance.
âDamn, youâre so wet, baby, who made you this wet?â his voice was deep, deeper than usual.
âYou, Scott, only you could get me this wetâ I breathed out, he hummed, liking my answer, he started with just his tongue, flicking it against my clit, then flattening it and licking up, he then began rubbing circles against it, I couldnât contain the noises I was making. Then he slowly entered a finger, making me gasp. I was in complete ecstasy, but I really wanted to make him feel good now. Once he finished and came back up, he place two fingers to my lips, I gently sucked on his fingers, tasting myself. âI want to make you feel good nowâ I smiled sweetly, he raised an eyebrow and smiled, he stood up and I dropped to my knees, palming him gently through his jeans. Then unbuttoning them, he helped me pull them off completely with his underwear, and even though this wasnât the first time we had done this, I still was in aw of his size. I started by licking a stripe up the bottom, then, gently sucking on his balls, he gathered my hair in his hands, pulling it out of my face. His breathing was already labored, I then moved on to sucking on the tip, allowing my teeth to graze it ever so gently, swirling my tongue around as well, then taking in more length each time. He began guiding me, pushing my head down, I took in as much as I could, deep throating him, the best I could. He pulled my hair, stopping me, then pulling me to my feet, before turning me around and bending me over the bed, in a swift movement, catching me by surprise, but it only turned me on more.Â
âFuck, I want you to beg for itâ His tone gruff.Â
âPlease, Scott, please, fuck me, I need you inside of meâ I whimpered, genuinely pleading, he pushed into me slowly, I let out a cry, as he did, he picked up his pace quickly though. I was moaning like crazy, it didnât take long for a knot to form in my stomach, I was practically screaming. âIâm gonna cumâ I was able to get out, between moans.
âCum for meâ He spoke softly, out of breath, most likely also on the verge. I came hard, he began groaning as well, cumming at the same time.Â
We recovered while holding each other, cuddled in his bed. âThis probably isnât the best time to say this, but I think I love youâ his voice was gentle, and it sent butterflies to my stomach.
âI think I love you tooâ Â

I Still Love You (Daryl x Reader)
Y/N's POV:
"Y/N...Y/N.....Y/N!"
I jolted up from my once peaceful slumber looking around frantically. My eyes soon fell upon Michonne looking at me with her hands rested on her hips. "Ughhh it's too early," I said as I plopped back down onto my sleeping bag. I heard Michonne smack her teeth before I felt a slight tap on my calf. I didn't react knowing that it was one of Michonne's annoying attempts to get me up. Soon another kick came but this one was followed by a sharp pain causing me to wince in pain. "Ok ok, I'm up" I whined finally rolling out of the warmth of my blankets. "Why did you wake me anyways" I grumbled as I started to get dressed.
"We need you for a run," Michonne said, smirking at her victory. "We" I questioned changing my shirt. "Me and Daryl," Michonne said as her smirk grew and I froze, turning to look at her. She happened to be one of the few people that knew about my long time crush on the 40-year-old redneck. I could feel the blush rise to my cheeks as I thought about him but those thoughts were interrupted by Michonne's laughs of entertainment. "We leave in 5," She said, finally exiting my tent leaving me to my own thoughts. "This should be fun" I sighed as I continued getting dressed.
When I finished getting dressed I took a good look at myself in the broken mirror I had in my tent. "I look good," I said admiring my reflection. I wore a pair of black ripped jeans, a white crop top, and black combat boots. After I brushed out my hair I grabbed my machete and headed outside. When I stepped outside I took a deep breath of the warm breeze that flew past my face, surprisingly it was a nice day. I looked around smiling at everyone at camp when I spotted Daryl and Michonne taking among themselves by the pick-up truck we used for runs. I quickly made my way over causing them both to look in my direction. " Hey guys," I said cheerfully while Michonne gave me a nod as if to say 'hey'. "It's about damn time," Daryl said, giving me a look that I couldn't read. "Shut up Dixon" I spoke rolling my eyes as I walked to the passenger side of the truck. "You betta watch your mouth sunshine," Daryl said with a slight growl which sent a tingle down my spine.
The drive to our destination was completely silent and It was me driving crazy. Without thinking I started digging around in the glove box looking for some type of CD. "Hey! What are you-" Daryl started but didn't finish as he saw me pull out my favorite CD with a wide grin on my face. "Don't. You. Dare" Daryl said already knowing what I was implying. I quickly slipped the CD in as my favorite song started to play.
youtube
Seasons change and our love went cold Feedâ the flame 'cause we can't let go Run away, but we're running in circles Run away, run away I dare you to do something I'mâ waiting on you again, so I don't take the blame Run away, but we're running in circles Run away, run away, run away
I sang as I playfully caressed Daryl's face with the back of my hand. He scoffed, turning his head but I could see the slight blush that he tried to hide. I smirked as a light-bulb went off in my head.
I said so, I knew that this was doomed from the get-go You thought that it was special, special But it was just the sex though, the sex though
As I sang those lyrics I let my hand travel down to his thigh inching closer and closer to his groin. He quickly grabbed my hand stopping it from moving any further as he swerved the truck nearly driving off the road. "What the hell" Michonne yelled from the back seat as she held on for dear life. Looking at Daryl's face, I couldn't contain my laughter as I could tell he was still processing what had just happened. When we made it to our destination we all got out and grabbed our weapons and duffle bags. We were at some type of grocery store that was definitely zombie territory but nobody seemed to care as we walked towards the glass doors. Before I could open the door I was yanked back causing me to yelp. I turned to see it was Daryl and Michonne gave him a look of confusion. "Daryl what the h-" I started but was quickly interrupted, "Wait," Daryl said banging on the dirty store window. I looked at Michonne who just shrugged until we were greeted with the loud moaning of walkers pressed against the glass.
"Doesn't look like there's too many of them. You guys ready" Daryl said looking back at us before swinging open the door. Five walkers came limping out and I smirked unsheathing my machete. I ran up to the first walker I saw as I sliced off the top of its head with no effort. "Y/N behind you" I heard Daryl say as I turned around stabbing a walker that was creeping towards me. When we took out all the walkers we each gave a nod as we entered the store. After seeing that the coast was clear, we each went our separate ways looking up and down the isles for supplies.
Daryl's POV:
When I was finally alone I let out a huge sigh that I didn't even know I was holding in. 'What the hell was that back in the truck? Why the fuck did Y/N-' "You ok" Michonne said stripping me from my current trance. "I'm fine" I mumbled making my way around her but she quickly grabbed my arm causing me to look at her. She was..... smiling? That was new. "You like her" she simply said with a devilish smirk. My eyes widened and my breath hitched. "I-I don't know what you're talking about" I stuttered uncontrollably. This caused her eyes to go wide "I knew it" she laughed shaking her head as she walked away. Now it was my turn to grab her. "Listen. If you say a word about this-" I started to threaten but she quickly put a hand up. "I won't but you will," Michonne said escaping my grip and walking off leaving me a bit confused. 'What did she mean by that'. Â
Y/N's POV:
My bag was almost filled with supplies when I came across an aisle that had packs of ammo scattered across the floor. "Oop bingo," I said to myself smiling as I started tossing them into my bag. In the midst of me doing so, the back door of the store slammed open as walkers started piling in out of nowhere. "WALKERS!!" I yelled, grabbing my machete swinging it every which way. "C'MON" I heard Daryl yell as we started running towards the front of the store. Before I made it out the door I realized I left my bag, we needed those supplies. "I have to go back for my duffle" I quickly said, not giving anyone a chance to stop me. " Y/N NO" I heard Michonne scream but I didn't care. I ran back to where I left my duffle bag making it there with no problem, getting back to the front was gonna be the issue. I looked around and started to slowly panic. I was completely surrounded by snarling walkers and they were all making their way towards me.
"I ain't going down with a fight," I said once again pulling out my machete. Just when I was about to start attacking, I saw a smoke bomb roll towards me as it started to dispense. "RUN!" I heard someone yell. It was Daryl! I wasted no time as I ran out the front doors of the store with Michonne slamming the door behind me. I crumbled to my knees trying to catch my breath feeling proud of myself. "What the hell were you thinking?" I heard Michonne scold as I started laughing a bit. She looked at me like I was crazy until I showed what was inside my duffel. "We needed this stuff," I said looking up at her and Daryl. She looked at me and then opened the bag causing her eyes to widen at the stash. "Woah" was Michonne's only response as she dug around the duffle bag full of supplies and ammo. I had a huge smile of accomplishment on my face until I made eye contact with Daryl who was clearly pissed.
"What kinda stunt were you trying to pull huh? YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN YOURSELF KILLED" Daryl yelled causing me to flinch. 'What the hell was his problem?' Before Michonne and I could respond to his outburst he stormed off towards the truck mumbling something that I couldn't hear. I looked at Michonne confused and she gave me a soft smile. "Go talk to him, I'll finish sorting through this," She said gesturing towards the supplies. I gave her a nod in response and ran towards the truck to see Daryl doing something with his bow. "Daryl..." I spoke making him look at me as he gave me an eye roll. "What the hell do ya want" He spat with venom laced in his tone. This is what ticked me off. "What do you mean what do I want? What the hell was that back there" I questioned getting closer to him. He balled up his fist and flared his nose as he looked at me with such hatred.
We stood in silence staring each other down for at least 2 minutes before I had the nerve to speak again. "I'm waiting" I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest. Daryl ran his hand over his face and he laughed, still clearly angry. "YOU wanna know what my problem is? The problem is YOU. Because YOU made me fall for YOU. YOU MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU" Daryl yelled swinging his arm around in agitation like he always does.
Shock overcame my body and I just stood there. 'In love?' He looked like he wanted to say something else but I quickly stopped him by pressing my lips against his. At first, I felt him try to reject me but he soon kissed me back with just as much force. He slowly wrapped his arms around my waist and I had never felt so safe, this felt right. The kiss started to get a bit heated but before anything could progress, we both heard a laugh making us jump away from each other. We were both blushing like crazy looking up to see Michonne holding all three duffel bags. "If y'all are done sucking each other faces off, I would love some help with these," she said setting the bags on the ground. Me and Daryl made eye contact and quickly looked away from each other as we started to load the truck again. When Daryl wasn't looking Michonne grabbed my arm with a smirk. "Looks like someone getting fucked later" she whispered in my ear causing my cheeks to burn. I gasped and playfully slapped her arm making her laugh. "What's so funny," Daryl asked when he was done putting everything in the truck. "NOTHING" I yelled before Michonne could speak and I quickly hopped back in the passenger seat. Daryl and Michonne joined me a few seconds later as we pulled off driving back to camp.
Once again the ride was quiet leaving me to my thoughts. I smiled as I looked out the window at the passing trees as I thought about today's events, then I remembered something. I slowly grabbed Daryl's hand in mine and to my surprise, he squeezed it gently. "I love you too" I whispered just enough for him to hear. I saw him smile a little at my words as he kissed my hand gently, never taking his eyes off the road.
"I know Y/N"

Superstars || Alejandra & Jasmine
TIMING: Current PARTIES: @alejandra-solano & @halequeenjas SUMMARY: Jasmine takes Alejandra to Sirenâs Serenade for a night of karaoke. They leave as very inspired divas.
Jasmine had always been a social butterfly. Ever since she was a kid, she found she loved having a large circle of friends and people to hang out with. Even more so, she loved being the center of attention but that was neither here nor there. When it came to a girls night, all that mattered was a good time which usually entailed wine, good music, and occasionally acting as wing women. After chatting with Ally online, Jasmine decided could use the townâs ultimate gal pal. She did move here from across the pond and all. A karaoke bar seemed like a fun place to get to know each and was a little more laid back than the jazz bar she usually frequented. Even from outside, she could tell this spot had a good energy going. When she saw a woman approaching that looked like Allyâs profile picture, she waved and smiled eagerly. âHey,â she greeted excitedly, âI hope you like cocktails and karaoke because this place seems to have a great crowd tonight⌠and admittedly I love karaoke.âÂ
Ally had a nervous excitement about hanging out with someone outside of work. Jasmine seemed so cool, and easy to talk to, and fun. It felt like a first date, and Ally wanted to impress. She fussed with her hair more than she was used to, and took a few deep breaths in the mirror before she headed out. When Ally pulled up to the bar she noticed a microphone by the name on the sign. Before she could really think about it she was out of the car and walking toward Jasmine who was waving her down. She smiled excitedly until the word karaoke fell from the other girls lips. âYeah, great crowd, and I love a good cocktail.â she said, folding her arm. âSo when you say karaoke is it like an open mic night type deal or am I like...singing. Because let me tell you, itâs not good, my voice.â she explained.Â
Jasmine swayed in her seat to the sound of some middle-aged white man singing that one Journey song that always seemed to get people going. It wasnât a bad song though his voice left much to be desired. That was half the fun of karaoke though. When the bartender approached, she smiled widely and asked, âIâll take a raspberry margarita, and whatever my friend is having.â She gestured to Ally to put her order in. There was definitely an upbeat energy in the place and she was ready to get their names on the karaoke list. She could tell Ally wasnât as enthused by that part. She laughed and assured, âOh, itâs definitely us doing the singing. But no one expects karaoke to be good. I mean, look at wannabee Tyler whatever up there. Itâs all about having fun. Itâs actually more fun when itâs bad⌠not that I can relate, but still.â Once their drinks were in front of them, she added, âIâm thinking of starting my night off with some Mariah Carey. Or maybe Beyonce. What about you?âÂ
Ally looked at Jasmine, seeming so comfortable, and felt jealous. She felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb wherever she went. Maybe thatâs what she liked about being a cop, when she was on the clock, she could blend in. Ally smiled at the bartender, âJust a beer please.â she said. She heard the whine of the man singing on the stage near her and winced. âLetâs do two beers.â she amended. When Jasmine made it clear that she was a good singer, Ally noted that she should probably go first. She watched the current singer leave the stage, looking more confident than when they approached. Maybe it would be good for her. âI spent my childhood singing JLo, so I guess I should do her justice.â she said, taking a big gulp of her beer. There was silence as the podium was abandoned. âRip the bandaid off Solano.â she said, standing up and walking to the podium, about to give the worst performance of her life. Â
When she was done, she felt different, like she wasnât just Ally Solano. She was someone bigger. Brighter. She motioned wildly for Jasmine to come up and join her.
Jasmine couldnât help but laugh as Ally ordered herself an extra beer to get her through the prospect of karaoke. Plenty of her friends were inclined to grab a shot of tequila before karaoke. Thatâd never been her go to⌠unless there were shots of Don Julio or Patron, but she was more than happy to go up on stage sober. In fact, she relished in being in the spotlight. âIâm sure youâll be great. Itâs all about having fun anyway,â she assured as the bartender handed them their drinks. At the mention of JLo, she perked up. âOh, good choice. Have always had love for my girl JLo. Who doesnât love good âol Jenny from the block?â As Ally made her way to the stage, Jasmine took her drink into the crowd around the small stage and cheered as Ally got on stage. Her woops were the loudest and inspired some of the others to cheer as well. As Ally sang, she seemed to get more and more into it. Her voice wasnât bad even if she was no song bird and everyone enjoyed singing along to JLo. She smiled brightly as Ally motioned for her to come on stage, seemingly more confident than she was moments ago. Once she was on stage with mic in hand, she said, âGive it up for my new friend, Ally⌠Or should I say, Jenny from the block. Iâm going to keep up the 90s classics and give you my rendition of Mariah Carey.
When the music started, Jasmine confidently sang along to Always Be My Baby as she knew every word by heart. She moved and swayed along with the music and she swore as she kept going, she felt more and more empowered. Important. When she finished, she ate up the applause and thanked the crowd goers. She very specifically felt ready for a VIP lounge now. After all, she was Mariah Carey. âJen,â she exclaimed as she got off stage and joined her fellow songtress, âWhat do you say we find a VIP club and make a whole night of this? Maybe another song or two first⌠we canât disappoint the fans.âÂ
Ally heard Jasmineâs whoops from the crowd and appreciated the support. Was this what it was like to have a best friend. Ally had a hard time making really good friends. She had coworkers and her books, and that was all she had needed. When Jasmine called her Jenny from the block she realized she was Jenny from the block. It was as if she was realizing something she should have known the whole time. Jasmine sang, her voice ringing strong and beautiful throughout the bar. People were turning their heads and swaying along. âIs there a good VIP club around here? Iâm amazed the fans arenât swarming. Super cool of you all!â she shouted, laughing uncontrollably. âHave we ever done a duet? Itâll make headlines.â she gasped. A part of her mind wondered who this was, but a part of her liked who she was. âMariah Carey and Jennifer LOPEZ!â she announced into a mic, walking back onto the stage. There were a few disgruntled girls waiting their turn. Didnât they know she was a celebrity. She winked at them, âIâll sign something later for you girls.âÂ
Jasmine knew a club up the block that had a good VIP section and happened to have her favorite champagne. Normally, she didnât switch from margaritas to wine, but champagne felt necessary. However, her attention was caught at the mention of a duet. An eyebrow raised and there was a devious smirk upon her face. âJenny, you always have the best ideas,â she exclaimed dramatically. The crowd of course seemed to cheer them on though she was not sure what was with the weird looks. She shrugged it off before getting back on stage with her girl JLo and doing a rendition of No Scrubs by TLC. It was a good song for a duet and forever a mood. The pair sang and danced along happily until the song was over. They got a good applause though not what she would expect given their level of stardom. As promised, they stopped by a group of young girls and gave them their autographs. The girls looked confused. They were younger, but her and her friend were timeless. Theyâd realize the gold mine they just got soon enough. She walked back up to the bar and looked at the bartender expectantly. âBe a dear and get our checks for us please. The club needs us.âÂ
Ally sang alongside Jasmine, dancing and winking to members of the audience. This new confidence surged through her. When Jasmine asked for the checks Ally laughed and looked at the bartender, âDo you know who we are?â Why should someone of her caliber have to pay. Think of the PR that the bar was getting. âThat performance is worth several thousand dollars. Easy.â she said. In the back of her mind, a nagging voice asked why she was acting like this, she was never like this. Around her, she heard some of the other karaoke singers making the same proclamation. This little bar really attracted the stars. âThe club needs us.â she reaffirmed and turned to leave.
Jasmine shook her head. More often than not, bars covered her tab seeing as she was an international superstar, but alas, that wasnât always the case. âJenny, donât worry about it. Iâve got this.â She flashed the bartender a flirtatious smile before handing him her American Express card. Given this poor guy was working as a bartender in what was frankly a sad little town, she decided to use her Mariah Carey bank account to leave an obscenely large tip. âThe club awaits,â she exclaimed, linking arms with Jenny to leave for their night on the town. Their shoes, after all, were made for dancing and so were they.

Chapter 3: The High-Risk Floor
I remained patient in the elevator as it took me to the final floor, the doors opened to the perfect horror movie setting: a long corridor with doors, dimmed lights with a few of them flickering because of the stormy weather outside the hospital, add lightning and thunder into the setting; I didnât notice my legs shaking but I woman-ed up and marched forward into the almost dark corridors. I scanned each passing door as I strolled, keeping a close eye on anything peculiar, just as I reached to the second last door, I found my no.1 favorite toy: My Music-Hat, a music box in the shape of a purple hat, with the yellow band having a small turnkey!
But when I finally got my hands on it, I heard a loud banging from the door in front of me, I froze in my tracks and watched the formally locked door to break at any moment, I take a few steps backwards with my toy close to my chest, the shaking came back and I was truly scared. Suddenly, a velociraptor screech boomed across the floor, followed by the door breaking open loudly that it couldâve flew off from the hinges, behind the door was a long haired lady, because of the dark, her hair color was not clear, but I definitely saw her cold red eyes glare at me when she turned her head, like sheâs some kind of beast in a fairy tale.
I trapped my gasp before it could escape from my mouth and bolted to the opposite direction, in hopes of reaching the elevator before thatâŚthing can catch me. She screamed louder and ran faster than any other lady her age, whatever her age was. Her screeches and my screams deafened my ears. I clutched my toy and bagpack tight, everything flashed around me and then I tripped on my knee when I was so close to the elevator, I hissed in pain and looked back at the lady. She was getting closer and my heart raced in panic, this is too much!!!
I have never screamed so loud in my life, nor cried so hard that I failed to notice what was going on in my surroundings, time slowed down as the lady got closer and I curled myself into a ball and cried like a baby.
A few minutes earlier
The sound of thunder woke me up. I slowly opened my eyes to see rain droplets hitting the window and a calm sigh was my only reply as I got up, stretched my back with a moan and rubbed my eyes awake. I brushed off my long brown hair away from my face, I couldâve got a haircut butâŚno. No need for that, I stood up and felt the chill in my room, or cell. I head to my small cupboard and picked up my favorite sweater- a deep plum colored wool- and wore it above my white cotton t-shirt. I yawned while fixing my sweater sleeves and made sure that the sweater didnât show my skinny frame when suddenly, two loud shrieks were heard from outside my room. I jumped and my heart started to race uncontrollably, I didnât have time to calm down. I recognized one of the shrieks, but the other sounded⌠younger and shrill. I reached for the door handle- Iâve never opened it myself, unless Dr. Timothy tells me to, yet I knew that something was wrong and I have to see what had happened.
I opened the door enough to peep through. I heard two set of footsteps rushing to the direction of the elevator, I looked to the other side and saw a small girl wearing a purple-yellow hoodie and carrying some kind of gadget and a bagpack, probably 8 or 9 years old, with tears streaming down her terror-filled eyes and I can see why she was running to the elevator. HER. I felt my heart stop when the little girl tripped and fell to the ground, making her scream more loud, God knows what sheâll do to that girl, I ignored my mind that was screaming to hide or my deafening heartbeats as I dashed and grabbed the girl. It was like as if the time froze when I turned to face those red soul-piercing eyesâŚagain, I hoped that hag didnât recognize me as I ran back to my room and shut the door, clutching the small girl tight. She definitely didnât like what I did as she started to bang on my door. My heartbeats got louder and faster which made my breath short and fast. I hyperventilated and begged for her to leave meâŚand the girl alone. The chill became worse as fear overpowered me and made me shiver with the girl, who was curled up in my lap and clutching my waist tight.
The security and staff finally arrived and took her away to be pacified. As silence returned aside from the occasional thunder, I didnât stop shaking but it lessened. I looked up at the door which thankfully didnât fly off its hinges and then looked down at the girlâŚPoor thing was still shivering and weeping as she buried her face on my sweater. I was about to pat her back when I noticed her bagpack which looked like a big blue marshmallow if it wasnât for her badges on it, one of which had the infinity symbol in rainbow colo- Oh⌠I stared down at the girl for a while, thinking of ways to calm her down when I noticed that she dropped her gadget on the thankfully carpeted floor. I picked it up and observed it, and twisted the turnkey more than thrice. What ensued was an odd yet peaceful momentâŚ
The top-hat shaped gadget produced a music-box sound, the top part opened like a flower blooming in spring time and small dots of light reflected from the top created a kaleidoscope effect that covered my sweater and the wall in front of me with more than dozens of stars in a galaxy, changing colors from white, purple, blue, yellow, green and back to white. This isnât an ordinary toy, isnât itâŚ? I didnât notice that my heartbeats had calmed down as the girlâs head peeped up to look at the toy and the small stars. She uncurled and leaned on my sweater as she stared blankly at them, eyes red and puffy from the tears. I listened to the music and recognized the songâŚIt was a lullaby from a movie I watched a long time ago before being in this cell. I sighed and sang with it, my voice being a bit rusty and off-key as I began to sing, but it went smoothly along with the notes. I gently rocked the girl with my body as I continue to sing and wiped off her tears instinctively. I watched her eyes slowly close as she drifted into a deep sleep and her calm breaths indicated that sheâll be alright. I kept singing just in case till the song finished and picked her up and put her on my bed, covering her with a weighted blanket from her bagpack and tucked her in, she smiles calmly, feeling safe and secured. I can only smile as I watched her sleep before I quietly walked to my desk drawer to retrieve some emergency anti-depressants. As much as the moment calmed me down, my heart still panicked after dealing with the b!@#$ that had ruined my lifeâŚ
Hanaâs P. O. V.
I opened my eyes slowly and got up, stretched my back and looked around the place. I was sleeping on a bed in a small room, my blanket and toy beside me and my bagpack below the bed. I looked up and saw a man sleeping on a rolling chair, a big book covers his face and muffled his snores. I didnât know what had happened but I do know that Iâm not supposed to be here. So as quietly as I can, I stuffed both my blanket and toy back into the bagpack and crept towards the door, my tiny hand almost reaching for the handleâŚ
âNo âthank youâ? Thatâs kind of rude if you ask me, kidâŚâ
I froze, how did he know I was about to leaveâŚ? I turned slowly, just to see one golden eye peeking out of the book, looking directly at me. I was flustered and scared, whatâs with this guyâŚ?? He sat up straight and crossed his arms, âNow, would you kindly explain to me why a little girl like you was waltzing around in a psych wardâŚ? And in the âhigh-riskâ floor where the deranged are kept against their will for societyâs sake?â He asked me like I should know the answer to the last question, and I just remained silent. Heâs a stranger, and Grandpa taught me to never to talk to oneâŚBut I donât remember what had happened before I arrived here. âWell?â He spoke again, patiently waiting for an answer, I looked at my shoes, âWhat happenedâŚ?âI shyly asked.
âI donât know, you tell me? You came to this floor.â He replied sarcastically, I looked at him a bit annoyed. âI was looking for my toysâŚâ I mumbled, but he heard it as he let out a short deep chuckle. âYour toys? What kind of kid carries twenty-eight toys in her marshmallow bag?â He replied smartly, as a cat-like smirk crept through his lips. I pouted and blushed with annoyance. âAn Autistic one, thatâs who!!â I yelled and his smirk disappearedâŚToo far, I guessâŚI looked away from him and stood there in silence, he did the same, scratching his head that has long brown hair that reached below his backâŚHe kinda looks like a girlâŚHe cleared his throat, âI found you running away fromâŚVanessa. You were experiencing sensory overload, so I used that Top-Hat toy you were carrying aroundâŚâ he said in an awkward yet polite tone, still looking away. I tilted my head, âWho is VanessaâŚ?â I asked, was it that ladyâs name?? He frowned more and scrunched his face, he seemed to not want to answer that questionâŚDid she chase him down and make him scream tooâŚ? I thought of the scenario, it wouldâve been funny if it didnât happen to me, soâŚI reached to my bagpack to retrieve my top-hat toy. ââŚI am looking for the rest of my toys, they donât seem important but to me they are, and many others tried to take them awayâŚThis toyâŚwas made by my dadâŚbefore he and mom left me with GrandpaâŚâ
Robinâs P. O. V.
When she mentioned her parents, I can tell that she blames herself or her disorderâŚeither way, I know how she felt as I used to blame my disorder whenever she would get mad at me. I looked at the toy, it looked like no other child toy I can think of, so maybe her dad did make it himself and it showed how skillful he wasâŚBut it doesnât explain how and why the kid was basically an orphan, aside from her Grandfather as her guardian⌠âSoâŚHow many toys do you think are leftâŚ?â I see her blink after being lost in her thoughts, âHm? Oh! I think twelve of them.â Her answer surprised me and my tone showed, âOh? Did you search everywhere for them? Thatâs really impressive, kiddo!â I gave a calm smile at her and chuckled when she blushed but she smiled back a bit. I saw the confidence coming back to her and she tied her boots properly before she turned to the door.
Yet she pausedâŚI donât have to guess, âWant me to help?â She turned and had an embarrassed frown, she nodded her head. âBut you donât have toâŚumâŚâ I realized that I forgot to tell my name, âI am Robin, I did help you escape from a lunatic.â I introduce myself and offer my help, she looked around for a while, humming to herself as she thinks, âOkay, but only for being by my side in this floor and till I reach to the ground level.â I looked at her and smiled, âYouâre quite the contractorâŚarenât you, kid? ~â, admittedly, she does have a good deal, yet I just fear for her coming back⌠âAlright, itâs a deal!â I clapped my hands once and got up, which startled the kid as she stepped back, she never saw a tall person before? I cracked my back and ruffled my hair more to hide my eyes, she was still looking at me in awe and she walked closer to me. I looked at her curiously, whatâs in her head now?
âC-Can IâŚUmâŚ?â She nervously asked, while hesitantly reaching a hand for my hair, I thought for a minute and nod, she carefully grabbed a tuft and used her thumb to stroke it, her sky-blue eyes gleamed in amazement, finding some unseen wonder in my mane. âAre you a boy?â she asked with uncertainty and such innocence, I did a double take and laughed heartily at her question. It has been a while since I laughed like that and this kid had just made my day. I controlled my laughter and wiped off an imaginary tear from my non-hidden eye, âNow is not the time to debate whether my long hair makes me look like a girl, kid! We have an objective to accomplish!!â I watched her face change from embarrassment to realization as she secures the bands of her bagpack. Then I realized that I agreed to leave my roomâŚfor a kid I barely knewâŚMy heart started to beat faster again and I stared blankly at the door. I breathe quietly yet quickly as the thoughts of the unexpected events that are yet to happen raced in my mind, then a small hand held mine and I looked at the small girl, âReady to go, Mr. Robin?â She asked with an innocent smile, oblivious about how I am feeling. I inhaled and exhaled heavily, gave a fake smile and held her hand. I reached for the door, fingers on the handle, âTry to not think of dying of a heart attack on the spot, alright?â I thought to myself and opened the door. I looked around to see if the coast was clear, and stepped out of my room in my socks as I lead the girl to the corridors of the floor. âWhatâs your name, kid?â I asked, I donât mind calling her âkidâ or âkiddoâ, but that would be rude to not call her by name, she smiled and said that her name is HanaâŚThatâs a really nice name.

First Day of School
This is just something that came to my head and I figured Iâd write it down before I got it... RuâYiâs first day at Cassell College. Please enjoy.
======================
RuâYi pulled her shoulder bag a bit higher and she took a deep breath. Her parents stood side by side in the doorway of the cozy Chicago Townhouse.
âOkay... I ... guess Iâll see you on spring break?â RuâYi said, shrugging.
âCall us when you get there.â Her mother gave her a kiss on the cheek.Â
It was January 10th, the official start of Spring 2020 semester. Her father, Chu Zihang, and mother, Bai Meixiu, had enrolled her this year even though her dragonblood had been awakened all her life and she already knew her Soul Skill. She wasnât going there to learn Dragonslaying or to become the hero of the world. It was just that her father and mother wanted her to have the best possible education among people like her.Â
Hybrids.
Unlike most hybrids, she didnât grow up feeling the Blood Cry. She knew exactly who she was. Her father, Chu Zihang, was an A-rank powerhouse who had mastered the notoriously uncontrollable Jun-Yan - Royal Fire. He could summon flames so hot they could melt glass and metal.Â
Not only that, he knew the secret technique of Blood Rage, that could forcibly increase his purity to dangerous levels. He was a near unstoppable force. Not only that, he was peerless in martial arts and hacking. He was also very handsome, with dark hair, pale skin, and mysteriously golden eyes.
Her mother, Bai Meixiu, was even higher, Rank-S with three Souls Skills under her belt. She could Teleport anywhere she could visualize, summon blades of light and control them with a thought. But most terrifyingly, she could control the dragonblood purity of other hybrids. No Hybrid could ever stand before RuâYiâs mother without express permission. But looking at her, she was a petite black woman, well dressed and polite, who loved to dance.
To RuâYi, they were just mom and dad.
âOne more thing...â Chu Zihang looked at his daughter, his expression serious.
âYes, Dad?â
âIf you ever meet a boy...â His eyes seem to glow behind the dark glasses. âI need you to tell me right away.â
âZihang!â Meixiu protested. âCan you not! Sheâs old enough to make her own decisions!â
âItâs not that I want to influence your decisions... I just want to know about him. Whatâs his name? Where is he from! I want to know everything about this boy!â Zihang looked into her eyes with a sense of near desperation.
RuâYi gave a nervous laugh. âDonât worry, Dad, I donât think boys will be a big issue...â
RuâYi sighed to herself. Her father and mother were quite famous. Even while they toured the campus, most of the boys took on a âlook and donât touchâ posture, practically saluting in reverence to her father and not even looking at her. Who wants to date Chu Zihangâs daughter?
âAnyway, Iâll call you when I get there!â
The cab blew the horn, signaling his arrival. She gave her parents one last wave before heading away.
She got into the cab and looked up at the driver. âSubway station please!â
She put in her earbuds and started listening to her favorite song. She looked out the window. Her parents were waving her good bye. They kept waving.
She smiled, chest filling with excitement, she started to bounce and sing, giving finger guns to people out on the street. For the first half of her life, she lived isolated in Thailand. Her family lived far away because they wanted to get away from the life they had before, full of conflict and violence. Her father and mother only told her a little about how her life began, in chaos, filled with evil people who pursued them.
But things were different now. The evil was vanquished and the people running the school were their friends. They could finally live in peace.Â
But once RuâYi turned 14, they realized that living on an isolated island wasnât good for her so they returned to the city.
RuâYi loved it. She could go shopping every day, there was a neighborhood of kids her age instead of just a few. And there were burritos and sushi and ramen! So much good food! She never wanted to go back to living on an island again.
The cab stopped across from the entrance to the station and she paid the fare and got out, still humming to herself. She waited for the light to turn and stepped off the curb to cross.
The sudden sound of screeching tires made her turn and look. Her vision was full of the radiator and bright headlights of a truck. It was too late to get out of the way. The driver looked into her eyes and realized what was about to happen.
RuâYi closed her eyes, waiting for the impact.
But the impact never came. She opened her eyes and she was off her feet, in the embrace of a stranger.
She looked up into a pair of brown eyes who looked down at her.
âOh my gosh! That was close! Thank you so much!â She gasped.
âNo need to thank me.â His voice was deep. He was taller, with brown hair and was wearing a camel colored coat. âAre you alright?â
âYes... thanks to you.âÂ
He set her down safely on the sidewalk and quickly started to walk away.
âWait! Whatâs your name!â She ran after him as he descended the stairs to the subway. When she reached the stairs, he was gone.
She kept looking for him, scanning her fare card and wandering the platform. But he was nowhere to be found.
She had to catch her train.
She turned and made her way back to the platform to wait. She sat down on the bench, feeling her heart rate return to normal. She could have died! He must have been really fast to get her out of the way of the truck. She had frozen like a... well... like a deer in the headlights!
She heard the squeal of a trainâs brakes. A short train, sleek like a bullet and displaying the World Tree symbol of Cassell pulled into the station in front of her. A man in a corduroy green uniform and formal top hat stepped out and bowed deeply. âMiss Chu. Your train has arrived.â
âMy train?â
âYes. You have been ruled a preliminary S-Rank hybrid. Therefore, the S-rank train has come to pick you up.âÂ
She looked at it. It looked to only have two cars, the engine and the passenger car. People were staring at her, wondering who she had to be to get her own train.
RuâYi stood up, stunned. She carried herself and her luggage, following the man in the uniform. She stepped into plush surroundings. The train was wood paneled on the interior, full of fresh flowers and potpourri. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for her in the cooler.
She sat down in the red velvet seat, her mind still reeling from her close call and the mysterious man who saved her.
âCan I get you anything else?â The man asked.
âOh... are there any other hybrids coming today?â She asked.
âOh, quite a few! But youâre the only S among them.â He gave her a kind smile.
She nodded. âOkay...â
The train took off silently increasing to incredible speed out of the station. They disappeared into the tunnel, blazing down the usual route all trains took until it split off into its own track, aiming directly for a dense forest specially planted as cover for the route to Cassel College.
The trees were a blur of brown, black and green. She gathered her bags to herself. Her dad and mom had taken this same route and now she was going too. Like generations of Hybrids before her, RuâYi would be taking her own journey.
She burst into blinding light and the campus came into view, stately buildings up an artificial hillside split by canals and bridges. She was finally here!
The train squealed to a halt and the doors slid open.
RuâYi stood in confusion as hundreds of students milled everywhere, looking down at applications and up at signs pointing them where to go.
She patted her pockets. Right, she would need her application! She pulled the white sheet of paper out. âPlease report to professor Miranis in room AB5 of the Hall of Valor...â She said to herself. She turned to walk and look for a sign for the sign of the Hall of Valor.Â
She immediately collided with someone, falling backwards.
âAh! Iâm sorry! Iâm so sorry!â came a distraught voice.
RuâYi gathered herself up, âItâs okay! Are you okay?âÂ
The dark haired young man was patting around the ground. His sunglasses were resting nearby him. She quickly gathered them up before someone could step on them.
âHere. Here you are.â She handed them to him.Â
He reached out blindly. His eyes were a gorgeous violet hue that RuâYi had never seen before, the color of lavender. But they stared blankly into the distance.
He was blind.
She quickly got him to his feet. âAre you looking for Valor Hall?â She asked him.
âYes. Actually. Can you help me find it?â He laughed a bit nervous. âSorry for the trouble.â
âNot at all.â She put the glasses in his hand.Â
âSomeone said it was this way.âÂ
She looked in the direction he was facing and saw the sign.  âThey were right. Are you here by yourself? Shouldnât someone be with you?â She took his elbow and walked slowly but steadily.
He stammered, panting with exertion. âWell... I mean, yes but... like... it wouldnât matter really. I have to get used to being blind on my own. Itâs... kind of a long story, but ... my Soul Skill allows me to see. Without it, I canât. They donât let you use Soul Skills here so.. itâs kinda hopeless.â
âWait... you could see before you got here?â
âYes. Well... yes...â He frowned a bit. âI knew my vision would be affected but not this much. â
âThen you canât read braille or anything? How are you going to study?â
âBooks on tape?â
âOh my goodness.â She put her hand on her face.
âMy nameâs Tom by the way. Thomas Allman. And you?â
âChu... Chu Ruâyi.â
âChu...â He suddenly stopped. âWait. Chu RuâYi? Is your dad Chu Zihang?â His eyes widened.
âYes...â RuâYi sighed.Â
âOh wow! I... Iâm so sorry I ran into you but... Iâm so happy I ran into you! Iâm a big fan!â An excited grin wreathed his face. âIâve admired him ever since I was little. The unquenchable Golden Pupils!â
Yes, the golden light never left her fatherâs eyes. It was more of a burden than an asset though. Many people found his eyes terrifying, and for hybrids especially, those eyes had the effect of recalling to their minds the sacred words of the Dark King, Imperium, which gave people the urge to kneel before him. It was an unsettling feeling. Chu Zihang wore sunglasses and contacts to prevent people from feeling discomfort around him.
âSee I kind of have the same problem.â Thomas explained.
âWhat do you mean? Your eyes arenât yellow.â
âThey are when I use my Soul Skill and I use my Soul Skill to see!â He explained.
âOh... thatâs right!â
âI have to wear contacts and sunglasses and things but... the contacts dry my eyes out so bad! Can you ask your dad what he wears? ⌠Which brand?â
âSure, I can do that.â
He started to blush bright red. âI still canât believe I met you on my first day. Iâm really super lucky!â
RuâYi gave a little laugh, unsure of what to say.

Havenât made on of these in a while heh.
âââââââââââââ
50 Shades of Joker! (pt 1)
âââââââââââââ
(Most of the NSFW will be in part 2 which Iâm working on now)
Here you go!
âââââââ
You walk out of the store with a bright smile on your face after saying thank you to the clerk, whoâs still laughing from your conversation. You like the fact that you can make people laugh. Even if theyâre just strangers.
You laugh quietly, shaking your head as you put your headphones in and start to walk with a little pep in your step as you listen to your latest favorite song by your all time favorite band, Paradise Lost by The Used. Itâs a song thatâs got a lot of energy and you canât help but start to dance and sing along to the lyrics while youâre walking down the street. People give you strange looks as you pass them by but you really donât care. Youâre having the time of your life, feelinâ higher than cloud nine when you turn the corner and suddenly your entire
Maybe itâs because you werenât paying close enough attention earlier, you were having too much fun, but now you notice someone following you. At least, you think so. Youâre pretty sure thatâs the same guy that kept looking at you while you were at the store, and you started to panic then but quickly told yourself not to be so paranoid.
You start walking faster. You turn off the music and take out your headphones so youâre aware of your surroundings. Suddenly the van pulls up beside you and a masked man runs up to you and grabs you.
âWhat the FUCK?! Let me go, asshole!â You scream as he opens the door to the van and climbs in. So many things are racing through your head. So many BAD things. Things you donât want to think about but you feel like you have to so that youâre somewhat prepared for whatever this fucker is going to do to you.
He still hasnât said anything. Other than calling you a bitch when you tried to kick him in the nuts. But come on, really? You were pretty justified for it. This strange fuck has the nerve to try and kidnap you, and then has the balls to call you names? He should be happy that he even still has his gonads in the first place, seeing as you were dead set on squashing those dried out raisins as hard as you could but you fucking missed because you never finished your damn taekwondo class. Damnit. Maybe all of this really was all your fault... but NO! No way in hell!
âGet me the FUCK OUTTA HERE, buddy!â You scream at him again.
âSure thing, the sooner I get rid of ya, the better!â He says, and picks you up, throwing you roughly over his shoulder and starts walking down a dark corridor. The pain is excruciating, but youâre trying to distract yourself.
âAahhh, so the asshole does have a mouth, or is it still the same hole? Tell me, do you shit where you eat, turd biscuit?!â You chuckle, laughing at your own lame joke. Probably not the best thing to say to a guy who sounds like heâs gonna kill you, but hey, if thatâs the case, you might as well have a little bit of fun before youâre impending doom.
âIâll tell ya one thing, lady, my mouth is way cleaner than yours! I probably shouldnât even be callinâ you a lady, after all the filth that came from your pretty lips.â He says, bringing you into a room and throwing you onto a bed. A bed. Fuck. No. NO! This is NOT HAPPENING! You would rather DIE than have that idiot touch you. But... what... what do you do?!
âAw, well thanks for the compliment, Limp Dick!â You start laughing uncontrollably, sounding like a maniac, mostly because youâre panicking and you think youâre losing youâre mind. Hopefully this guy doesnât like taking advantage of the crazy ladies. Who knows. But you were going to do whatever you could to get out of here, and if that wouldnât work, you were going to make sure he didnât enjoy himself like he was planning to.
âJesus, youâre crazy. No wonder he likes you!â The guy says and starts walking to the door. Wait.. what did he just say?
âWho? Who are you talking about?â You ask him, still struggling to sit up straight. You have an idea, but... that... that would be crazy!
âYou know who! Donât play games, lady. The two of you were meant for each other! Anyway, Iâve done what he told me to do. Now I guess you just gotta wait until he comes to see you. Part of me is curious to find out what the hell a guy like that finds interesting in the bedroom. But the smarter part is telling me to get the hell outta here while I still can. Oh well. Enjoy your night with the Joker, lady! Hope you survive it!â He says and wobbles his way out of the room.
âJoker...â you say, an excited smile spreading across your face. Even saying his name feels intoxicating on your lips. You take a deep breath. You were right. This was all set up by Joker. You know youâd discussed this of thing with him before but... neither of you officially made any kind of agreement. Then again, this is Joker youâre talking about. Heâs never been the kind of guy that does things by the book.
You lie back down and try to calm yourself, but as the panic and fear subside, you get excited by all the thoughts of what heâs going to do to you.
You donât have to wait long, though, because you can hear the door opening, and footsteps walking casually across the floor.
Your entire body tenses, you hold your breath, and you can feel your heart about to burst from your chest.
He doesnât say anything, but you know itâs him. You can just sense him, smell him. You recognize the way he moves his body around, or the way he breaths.
And then you hear him laugh quietly to himself, and oh god, did it make you want him more than ever. You could feel your lady parts pulsating and soaking up your panties. You started moving your hips up and down, gasping for air and wishing he would just hurry the fuck up and get over here already! But you didnât want to say anything. You didnât want to run his good night to what was probably yet another bad day.
No, you were going to let him do whatever he wanted, at the exact time he wished to do so. Youâd let him take all the time in the world, even if you ended up wriggling in a puddle of your own juices, whimpering his name, in desperate need of his attention.
Yes. This was his night, and you were his choice of entertainment.
He begins to hum to the tune of âThatâs Life,â and you smile as the sound of his voice travels across your body. You feel your body start to move, swaying back and forth, almost like youâre dancing to his music.
The sound of his voice gets louder as he walks closer to you, and finally you can sense him standing over you. He takes a deep breath and you feel his hand on the top of your head, running down through your thick hair. You try not to show just how much you need him right now, but itâs almost impossible.
âHey there, pretty little thing,â he said with a laugh as he moved his hand to your face. Caressing your cheek and running his fingers down to your lips. âI hope youâre ready for what I have planned for us.â
Oh, god YES! You squirmed just a little bit as you heard him speak, even the anticipation was getting you all hot and bothered.
âAnd what is that, exactly? Do I get to know? Or are you gonna surprise me?â You ask him in a seductive tone as you bite your lower lip and stare into his gorgeous eyes with a seductive look on your face. You could tell he absolutely loved it.
âWell I canât spoil all the fun now, can I?â He said while he started to tie your wrists to the bed frame, taking extra care of your delicate skin as he continued humming softly. âLetâs just say Iâve been planning this for a while, making sure I got every detail just right.â
âWell I wouldnât expect anything less from you,â you said as you giggled and squirmed under him. You giggled once he tied your arms and legs to the bed frame, and took a step back to admire you. Suddenly you felt extremely nervous, which would make sense, considering how helpless and exposed you were now that heâs got you right where he wants you. He could see all of you, every single inch. No wonder he had such a big smile on his face.
âLike what you see?â You ask while staring up at him, trying to hide your embarrassment.
âYou have no idea, kitten,â he said, staring back at you with his mesmerizing green eyes filled with lust. âYou really are something else.â
âWell come and get me, Joker,â you said, biting your lower lip. Neither of you could contain yourselfs anymore. He threw the keys to the handcuffs on the table beside the bed and crawled up to you. You watched his painted face and green hair come closer ever so slowly. Paying close attention to that red smile that seemed to be growing bigger by the minute.
âOh, Kitten,â he exhaled slowly and ran his hand through his hair before grabbing your chin and pulling you in for a kiss. âThere are so many things going through my mind, I donât even know where to begin!â

Moments. A Handon Story.
Written for my best friend (@naturesloopholed) for our discord verse with prompts from https://sentence-prompts.tumblr.com/. Prompts are both in italics and bold print.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope has a lot of moments in her life that she remembers. Good moments and bad moments. Moments.
Moments she wants to remember forever, moments she wishes she could just forget.
Funerals and parties and fights.
Moments of joy and moments of sorrow. Moments.
Some of her favorite moments are with her family, some with her friends, and some with him.
Out of everyone she shared moments of her life with, the moments she spent with him were the most varied. Most of them were happy, but there was a lot of sad ones and frustrating ones too.
As she stood there, dressed in black, screaming out at the wind, their moments together flashed through her mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She reminded him of a lightning storm, beautiful but dangerous. He told her that once, right after theyâd made love. She was pregnant and knew it, but hadnât told him yet. They were in love, but that was yet another secret that was kept tucked away at this moment.
There was a bit of sunlight creeping in through the window, highlighting the red in her auburn hair, making his green eyes shine bright.
She was curled in his arms, partially laying on her stomach and staring up at his face. He was laying on his back, his shoulders and head propped up by the pillows against the headboard. He drew absentminded shapes on her skin, heart and swirls and stars.
âYou remind me of a lightning storm.â He told her, looking at her lips before bringing his eyes up to meet hers, only to find her frowning at him. âBeautiful, but dangerous.â
She grinned, of course she would, both of those words were compliments to her. âWell thank you very much, Mr. Kirby.â She told him before shifting so she was sitting alongside him, she kissed his cheek. âI have to go now, Iâm meeting my aunt Bekah for brunch.â
âHave fun with that.â Landon smiled softly at her, cupping her cheek to bring her in for a soft and slow kiss.
âMmm.â Hope hummed when he pulled back, her eyes staying shut for a moment before only opening halfway. âKeep doing that and I might forget about brunch completely.â
âAnd then your aunt will know we were...you know.â Landon replied, his cheeks flushing slightly.
âSo? Iâm a big girl.â Hope told him, despite still being a month from turning 18. âMy aunts both know that I do what I want.â
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âNo Iâm not being creepy! Iâm staring at you with a sketchbook. Thatâs universally deemed uncreepy.â Hope had told him one afternoon as they sat in the park, Landon playing his guitar and writing down a few unspoken words here and there, they mustâve sounded good with the chords in his head or something.
âYou are being creepy, Hope.â Landon chuckled at her, not looking up from his notebook. âYou are silently staring at me.â
âWith a sketchbook.â Hope reminded, speaking slowly to make a point. âAnd if you would pay a little more attention to me, maybe I wouldnât seem so creepy.â
âI am paying attention to you.â Landon finally met her eyes. His seemed bright, and happy. She made a mental note about that, reminding herself of how she could always tell his emotions by how his eyes looked.
âYou havenât said two words in the last half an hour.â Hope pointed out, it might have seemed like she was trying to start a fight if she hadnât been smiling.
âIâm trying to write a beautiful ballad about your beauty.â Landon tried to say it with a straight face but failed miserably, he was writing her a love song but how he said it made it sound so corny.
Hope laughs softly and pushed him backwards, grabbing his guitar and setting it off to the side, along with her sketchbook, before she leaned down and kissed him.
Landon stared up at her like she held the stars in her eyes. âYou know there are kids around, right? This just makes us both seem creepy.âÂ
Hope laughed and swatted his arm lightly. âYou can be such an asshole, Landon Kirby.â She was teasing him. They hardly ever had real fights, or at least not over stupid and petty stuff like this.
âHmmm...Can I? I did not know this.â Landon joked sarcastically back, sitting up when she finally stopped leaning over him. âSo you have my attention, what now?â He asked, his eyes shining even more, if that was even possible.
âIâm pregnant.â The words fall out of her mouth before she can stop them, and she feels a tightness in her chest, a new fear falling over her suddenly. What if he was upset? What if he decided he didnât love her anymore? Or that he didnât want the baby? They could very easily get rid of the baby girl.
âYou...are pregnantâŚâ Landon said slowly, the shock evident on his face and in his voice. âWell, I always dreamed of us having kids together, of course I thought weâd be older, but we can do this...right?â Landon asked, an unsureness in his voice.
Hope smiled at him and nodded. âWe can.â She said softly, reaching out to take his hand in her. âTogether.â
âI just hope our child isnât as creepy as you are.â Landon grinned at her after saying that.
Hope gasped, a small giggle escaping her lips. âYou are such a jerk!â She shrieked at him, pushing him back down and kissing him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âIf I didnât love you, Iâd beat your ass for that.â Sheâs angry because he put himself in harms way, but he was only trying to protect her and their baby from getting hurt, and he always comes back.
âPhoenix, remember? I die, I come back.â Landon said, looking up at her from the pile of ash they he had yet to fully stand out of.
âBut what if one time you donât come back?â Hope was obviously very emotional and scared, maybe it was from the hormones or maybe it was because she was honestly scared.
Landon was quick to get up and go to her, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close to him. âThat wonât happen.â He whispered reassuringly.
âYou donât know that.â Hope said quietly, her head resting on his chest as she cried softly.
Landon rubbed her back. âIâm sorry, I just couldnât bear the idea of something happening to you or our baby.â He pressed a kiss to her forehead.
âWell can you do that without dying?â Hope begged, if she wasnât still so scared she would hate how weak she sounded. But it was him, and she didnât mind him seeing her weak, as long as no one else did.

But this was one moment she wanted to forget. Because, now came the saddest part of any relationship, the goodbye.
He was wrong. It did happen. He died and didnât come back. A phoenix doesnât have many weaknesses, but there was one. And one weakness was all it took. Gold. More specifically, a golden tipped arrow straight to the heart.
He was dead and not coming back. Stone cold. Pale. Lifeless.
And Hope never felt such pain before. Not when she lost her mother, not when she lost her father, not eve when she thought she had lost their baby girl. This was different. It was like someone completely ripped her heart out. He was her soulmate, she was more convinced of that in his death than she ever had been when he was alive.
She blamed herself, even though it wasnât really her fault.
A supernatural headhunter, someone who had a kill list that contained one of every supernatural being on it, except for a phoenix. Which he got right before Hope proceeded to rip his beating heart from his chest. That gave her a small sense of gratification when she plunged her hand into his chest, hearing and feeling how his heartbeat quickened at the knowledge that he would soon die. She took pleasure in ripping it from his chest. Screaming out as she clutched it, crushing it as the headhunterâs body fell to the ground.
She stood there a moment before screaming, dropping the heart as she fell to her knees in the October mud. They were out enjoying a beautiful day with their little girl. Enjoying the early fall weather, it was crisp but not cold.
He would never see his daughter grow up.
The day of the funeral, the temperature dropped and a sudden wind chill came in. Hope, as the young widow, had to go to the funeral even if all she wanted to do was stay home and cuddle her baby. She left Addy with Rebekah for the day, deeming it too cold for the almost three year to be out.
All throughout the funeral, she held it together. Didnât shed a tear the entire time, forcing herself to just keep it together.
She stayed until everyone else left, staring at the casket at the head of the church, she had insisted on his having a proper funeral. And a proper grave, so that Addy could visit his grave.
Hope didnât know that Lizzie had stayed behind to make sure she was okay, not until the blonde followed her out of the church. âYou canât just hold it in like that.â
âHeâs gone, like really gone, Liz.â The raw emotion in Hopeâs voice was almost enough to make Lizzie break down in sobs.
âYou need to grieve, thereâs nothing wrong with grieving, go ahead and let it out.â
Hope was silent for a moment before screaming and letting her magic wreak havoc on the ground and trees in front of her, her scream quickly turned into a wail, and she stopped her magical assault on the trees as she fell to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
Lizzie was at her side as fast as the siphoner could be, dropping to her knees beside her friend, not caring that her white tights might be ruined by mud or dirt or torn up by twigs. She carefully pulled Hope into her arms as the tribrid sobbed.
Hope clung to her friend like the blonde was a liferaft, keeping her from drowning or drifting away. Like Lizzie was the only thing currently tying her to life.
âYouâre not alone.â Lizzie whispered to her, holding on to the auburn haired widow. âYou are not alone, Hope.â She placed a kiss to the crown of her best friendâs head and held her until they absolutely had to get up to go to the burial spot.
Lizzie walked beside Hope through the cemetery, watching as the pallbearers carried Landonâs casket to the grave sight. If it hadnât been for the blonde, Hope mightâve collapsed and not been able to walk to the grave.
âGoodbye my love.â Hope whispered, tears brimming her eyes as she took a handful of dirt in her hand, letting it fall into the grave as Lizzie squeezed her other hand and Rafael gently rubbed her shoulder, both trying to offer her their support.
The end.
