Hello I’m Regulus or Reg. I use they/them and hy/hym pronouns.

I’ve been a practicing pagan since 2018ish. I began working with Hermes in late 2021 when I was traveling both by myself for the first time, and for the first time since COVID lockdown. I was insanely nervous and began to pray to Hermes before, during, and after my trip. As I began to do more research about Hermes I began to slowly realize that he has been present in my life for most of it, and I started to officially work with Hermes in early 2022. As of right now (June 2023) he is currently my primary deity and the only one I’m working with, however in the past I have worked with other deities including Loki, Apollo, and Aphrodite, and I will probably work with other deities in the future as I continue to grow and explore my path.

Fun facts about me: Audhd babie! My current hyperfixations/special interests include Critical Role Campaign 2, autism (lol), Hozier, and Languages/linguistics. I also have POTS and a handful of mental illnesses/disorders that I’m untangling. I write my own music and Poetry (which you may or may not see on here if I write anything related to Hermes/witchcraft). :D

i've been worshipping hermes since january 2022, which kickstarted my ACTIVE hellenic polytheist practice, although arguably i've been practicing since 2016. like reg, i started praying to him when my family was stuck at a hotel and unable to get home for the foreseeable future, and when i finally got home and set up what was supposed to be a temporary altar, he didn't want me to take it down! i have since realised he's my patron (with a mix of the neopagan and ancient greek definition of that word) as i'm a cross-culture kid in ib, a writer, a huge language fan, currently working to become a guardian of the dead, and much more.

i also have been practicing witchcraft since early 2020 and am an omnist with agnostic tendencies (but "hellenic polytheist" works just fine too) as well as an animist with a very eclectic folk-based practice

sorry if this is too forward but I noticed your tags in the aspen post and the way you used freak together with the word predator. I just wanted to let you know that because of the ableist history of freakshows the word freak is often considered slur for disabled and disfigured people so using it to refer to a person while equating it to predators has a very nasty feel to it. I'm not saying you're ableist or anything, I just recommend you reconsider your usage of the words, especially when the word predator alone would've been enough to get your point across. /nm

I’ve been called a freak because I’m mentally ill, have a limp, bad spine, bc I’m trans, bc I have a xenogender, and among other things. I mentioned it in the intro post. Yet when people used the word like just another word to describe either a situation that’s real off putting or yknow a freak accident I’ve never felt bothered or even cared. Yes it’s gross when used towards people who are physically, mentally, lgtbq or considered “not normal.”.

But come on mate if you personally see the word freak that isn’t used in the most ableist context imaginable then maybe there’s something up with you? Or I’m probably reaching here myself but seeing the context I’ve used it in and maybe thinking: mentally/physically disabled, lgbtqia people, etc are also predators which. Just isn’t true man. I’m trans and gay (generally queer) plus it just feels off and gross. But hey if a predator turns out to be lgbt or disabled in some way then? Obviously I am referring to fact they think kids are sexy.

As I’m implying if any group of people deserves to be called freaks it’s the predators: pedophiles, rapists, zoophiles, similar sub groups. And I suppose their supporters and apologists.

Do not get me wrong I do appreciate your concern. But um not gonna stop calling the actual monsters “freak” as mentioned/implied.

For the record I can reclaim fag/faggot as I’m a gay man whose also afab (shocker it was used to dehumanize women, especially older afabs way back when). I can also reclaim tranny, because I’m trans. honestly i’m not sure- i think it may be because i use as many mogai and xenogender related tags as i can on my post? i heard using lots of tags gives you more reach 😓 i also try to post as consistently as possible ! so people don’t lose interest! i hope at least some of that helps because besides that i kinda just,,, coined genders and posted them and then waited to see what happened!

hi!!! honestly i’m pretty new too (not to coining terms but this blog in particular) and i don’t have many followers yet but some things i do are:

-post consistently , i have a queue set up that posts 3 times a day

-max out my tags and use a lot of different mogai and xenogender tags to reach as many people as possible

i feel like doing those things helps quite a bit??? i’m not that experienced but hopefully this helps in some way! i wish you the best of luck, i love a lot of the stuff you’ve made and hope you’re able to grow your blog more!!!
