ok I'm back. I guess first off, Team, wow. What an episode, it is absolutely insane how good it all was. Especially the writing and the voice acting for Karen, it tugged on my heart strings. And Anaidon, I KNEW YOU ANIMATED THAT SCENE haha!

Genuninely, bravo 👏👏👏 and my calculations were right after all

Actually, for me to post my theory hours before the episode was dropped, I'm surprised how much I got it right. Most of it, yeah, though I didn't expect how insane Mr. WPNZ is. More so doing it for himself and not the corporation, but still a lot of dedication was put into this. And he got a robotic arm! Not exactly like Clench (who has a mind of its own and can talk) but definitely advanced. So, the point could still stand that the tech, skills, and resources were based on his job at Hitman Inc.

Poor Karen, you can tell she's been very desperate in finding her kids by the voice acting alone. You can't blame her for going to these lengths. Like I said, understandable, but I do still feel concerned for her. And then, her psycho ex on top of everything smh, I won't be able to handle it.

And you can't even blame Mario either. He did the mission thinking it would help Karen, and Mr. WPNZ told him what to do. Then with the prosthetic taking Mario's arm, it wasn't even him. It was WPNZ, but I do feel like Mario's going to feel so guilty for what he did to 4.

Wrong things for the right reason 😔↕️

Speaking of 4, NO NOT MY BOY. Chat, I'm not okay. Like I knew he wasn't going to die, he's literally one of the main characters, but my heart dropped at that scene. Through the floor and 6 feet underground. I did ask for 4 angst, yes, but damn. Can you imagine how the Crew would react? Since 3 & 4 are cosmically linked, would 3 feel that 4's in critical condition? Oh Beeg, 4's his dad dude. Beeg may be pretty tough but he still cares for 4, hope he gets a bit of revenge for it. (and a sprinkle of mar4 angst)

Who do you take me for? ofc I am. As I mentioned, the parasite would still be in 4, and because of what happened to him, it might be the necessary trigger for it to activate. After everything that had happened to him, the explosion really knocked him out. This is taken seriously, this mini-arc starts really close to the IGBP anniversary.... I wouldn't be surprised if the Team tease for the future goop!4 arc. Not immediately after the Hitman arc, far later. Baby steps, chat. If the Team drops at least ONE frame, a SECOND, about goop!4, I'll take it!

Anyway, since it is a mini-arc, we're not getting another teaser or a trailer. BUT we are getting an episode special, so we'll have to look out for that. In meantime, that's all from me. I'll see yall next time and remember, folks: numbers always go first!

Oppy can't wait to get bred again, but he also doesn't want to get on Ratchet's bad side so... no breeding for now. (Hive Queen Optimus)

I forgot to talk about the zombie episode last time. Huh. It doesn't really matter, it focuses exclusively on the Decepticons and the only big thing that happens is that Airachnid is kicked out of the story because she's a zombie now... I guess. They might be a problem for the Autobots if they decide to go to the one moon the Decepticons dumped them on but they could probably just nuke them or something. And thinking about it, Breakdown would still be dead, since the only part that really changed in Crossfire (said Insecticon scout episode) is that the main Hive is further away and Airachnid was forced to take more time to find it and it was close to Optimus's patrol route. Weird how that episode is the divergence point.

Anyways, the Predacons are probably gonna find some cave or mountain to hide in until the war is over and they can go back to Cybertron. Though I think it's mostly Predaking trying to make sure none of his idiots do anything stupid and just barely stopping them.

The Decepticons are struggling to figure out any way to make a new Omega Lock (they aren't gonna) and Knock Out comes up with the great idea to see if they can yoink Ratchet and try and blackmail him into helping. Shockwave agrees that having a third helping them would be best. Megatron decides "fuck it, let's try it" since it isn't like they have anything else to try to sends out Soundwave and some Vehicons to take more control rods for the SpaceBridge.

On the plus side of Evolution... basically not happening/being so messed up it's basically unrecognizable, Ultra Magnus still has his hand, so he can come to this battle! The Vehicons manage to flee through the GroundBridge back to the Nemesis, though with not as many rods as they wanted thanks to the Insecticons, as the Autobots manage to capture Soundwave (he did it on purpose).

They bring him to the hive via GroundBridge and Soundwave thinks that they'll try and interrogate him here. Nope, they aren't, the Insecticons are dragging him to a back room with Ultra Magnus and Arcee doing the interrogating as Insecticons push a boulder to block them in. Soundwave has immediate regrets as Laserbeak went back with the Vehicons and there's no fucking way he'll be able to escape with Ratchet even if he managed to get out of this room.

They get nothing out of Soundwave so they leave a cube of energon for him and leave, though they close the boulder door behind them. Soundwave just sits there like ._. as he processes that... yea, he's a prisoner now, the plan backfired spectacularly. On the very light plus side he managed to briefly see Optimus holding a sparkling that somewhat looked like Megatron?

This is getting long so imma continue this next ask because I want more breathing room for this au's version of the season 3 finale (and we're fast approaching it, especially since we can have even more fun with this au once they get back to Cybertron).

Also going a bit back in time If Crossfire is where the Hive queen Optimus started. Umm, Nemisis Prime would be a problem, which is funny considering Optimus is being breed by the insecticons, there is no way he his out on the field destroying government stuff. How is Fowler going to explain that one. "Oh ya let me just call up the government and say that there is no way Optimus could of been the one destroying bases and government vehicles, He's been too busy being impregnated by bug robots."

IDK I just think it's funny that that episode would also have M.E.C.H.A freaking out over the insecticons. Like the Hive knows that is not their queen, this is a bad version of their queen, and look alike will not be tolerated while their queen is first time carrying.

As for the Predacons, Predaking is very much having to deal with his new siblings and keeping them in check.

Megatron being out of ideas and just says fuck it, kidnap the medic. Ya like smart move, kidnapping something/someone from the hive.

Soundwave getting captured and is just in Total confusion mode, Like they are being semi nice to him, even if he is a prisoner. Also was that Optimus with a child. Oh if only he has Lazerbeak with him he could send them out and spy on Optimus and really get a good look on the bitty and really see if it is his lords baby (which means Megatron has a heir, and Optimus carried it to term and didn't say anything, or used it as a bargaining chip to win the war.)

Which is true, They really don't have anything to communicate to the nemesis with since it was destroyed back in the old base. And really Optimus didn't want to deal with all that crap, espesually after he gave birth. He really doesn't want Megatron, he showed his colors when he had him back. He used him(both body and mind) and then when he was gaining his memory's back he tried to kill him.

So no He really doesn't want Megatron knowing he has a kid. As far as he's concerned bitty is an insecticon, like his other siblings.

Arthur's Note: I shall answer this one...with a ONESHOT story. Here it is! (And sorry @welldonekhushi for taking so long! It took me a while to find some time and ideas to get this right. Hope this is ok...)

“Vorona? Who the fuck is Vorona?” Koa asked himself after reading this mysterious letter.

He had found it in his drawer after withdrawing himself from the party. The party that they are celebrating for winning the war. Him and the gang had saved Europe from Perseus who was about to release the Nuke all over the area.

And they have stopped him. All thanks to Bell for telling them the location of where Perseus was at.

Koa had kept staring at the letter, trying to figure out who would put this paper into his drawer before heading out to finish the mission.

He also questions how this mystery person knows his name and knows about Aleks and Charles. He thought it might be a threat but the way he reads sentence after sentence.

It…doesn’t sound threatening at all. It somehow makes him feel…guilty all of a sudden.

Koa rubbed his head as he felt puzzled. He wanted to know of who actually left this letter in HIS drawer and how they know about him. Until he smells a familiar scent from the letter.

He slowly put it up close to his face as he took a good sniff from it. The scent of a cologne mixed with a smoking smell from a cigarette. And then it triggered his memory of seeing someone recognizable.

Koa looked at the wall as he remembered now. “...Bell?”

He imagined the Russian man smiling at him softly.

“What the-” 

He looked back at the letter as he felt something bad had happened. Something happened that HE wasn’t there for the man he called his close friend and brother.

He read it again as his hand started shaking.

Why does he feel the heaviness in his heart?

Why does he feel like his body is shaking so much?

He folded the letter and put it in his pocket before walking out of his room. As he saw the gang is still partying. 

Park, Sims and Lazar were talking. While Hudson was getting annoyed by Woods drunkenly talking to him as Mason was just laughing.

And then saw Charles and Aleks were chatting away remembering a good time.

But where is Adler and Bell?

He walked over to Charles and Aleks as he got the two attention.

“Koa! Hermano! You’re missing yourself with the drink that you like!” Aleks said with a cheerful tone and with a bright smile; as she grabbed another cup that was on the table next to her. She walked up to him before she saw Koa’s expression. “Hey…you ok? You seem like you saw a ghost.”

Koa looked down at Aleks, seeing her worried expression. He cleared his throat before looking around. “Have you seen Bell and Adler? I need to talk with them. Or…make that Adler.”

Aleks pondered a bit as she tried to remember. “Um…well…I only saw Adler. I was also questioning where Bell was as well. But I didn’t ask him yet.”

 “Then where is Adler?”

“He should be outside smoking.”

Charles stepped in looking at the two. “What’s going on?”

“Koa was just asking where's Adler and Bell.”

Charles was taking a sip from his drink before looking around. “Hmmm. All I can remember is that it was only Adler who came in last. I don’t think I’ve seen Bell anywhere.”

Charles saw Koa’s expression had turned pale and saw he didn’t hear him. “Nakiu? Helloooooo? Earth to NAKIU.” He snapped his fingers in front of Koa.

The big man jolted at hearing the snap of the Professor’s fingers. “U-Uh- Sorry! I um…”

“¿Estás bien? What’s going on?’ Aleks asked as she looked even more worried for her Māori friend.

Before Koa could answer, he saw Adler walk back in. “I’ll be right back.” He quickly walked past Charles and Aleks as he hurriedly walked up to the CIA man.

“Adler!”

Adler turned his head to see Koa walking up to him so quickly as he stood firm. While flicking his cigarette away. “Yes, Nakiu?”

Koa got up to him as he took a deep breath and looked at him. Looking deep through this man’s sunglasses that he always wore wherever he goes. “Adler…I…I need to know. Where is Bell?”

Adler raised his eyebrows a bit after hearing that question. Before looking away to avoid the Captain’s gaze.

Koa knew something was up. He kept asking him that same question. “Adler. WHERE is BELL?” He saw him trying to turn away from him but he stopped him.

“Don’t you fucking turn away from ME, Adler. ANSWER my question.” Koa started to protest while blocking his way.

“MOVE. NAKIU. I got other business to get done.” Adler warned the Captain.

“The business shit is ALREADY done!”

Aleks quickly stepped in between the two before looking at Koa. “K-Koa, calm down. What’s going on?”

Koa started to point at Adler as he didn’t listen to Aleks. “Where IS he, Adler? I just want to KNOW!” He didn’t pay attention to anyone else except to Adler. He was so focused on getting an answer from this CIA agent. He KNOWS that he had something to hide.

He’s feeling impatient but did his best to stay cool.

Charles also stepped in before touching Koa’s shoulder. “Nakiu. You need to calm down.”

Koa shoved his hand away before pushing Aleks aside gently as he took a step forward towards Adler. 

The Agent took a step back as his back touched against the wall. While staring up at the angry Captain.

The rest of the gang saw this as well as they walked over to see what was going on.

Mason stood next to Aleks. “What’s going on? Why is Koa like this?”

Aleks was just looking worried as she wanted to stop Koa from doing anything stupid. But somehow deep down inside of her tells her to wait and see. “I-I…I don’t know. Koa kept asking Adler where's Bell…”

“You know…I was questioning that too.” Woods said as he took a step in. “Hey ADLER! Where IS Bell huh? I thought he was with YOU.”

Adler was silenced as he was just staring at Woods, who is a bit drunk, through his sunglasses before looking back at Koa.

The Māori man was towering over him a bit, he was DESPERATE to know where his friend, his ally, his BROTHER.

“ADLER. PLEASE. I’m begging you. WHERE is BELL?”

Adler was still being quiet as he looked away. Koa was getting annoyed at this. He took another step forward, cornering Adler, and glared at him. “ADLER! Where is BE-”

“HE’S GONE!”

The garage was in deep silence after Adler had yell with those TWO simple words. The words had cut so deep into Koa’s heart.

Aleks, Charles and everyone else in the garage were shocked to hear this. Except for Hudson, Sims and Park. For some reason...

Koa was just standing there with wide eyes. “W-What…?”

“He’s FUCKING gone, Koa! You happy now?” Adler said with an annoyance in his tone but with a small guilt mixed with it.

Aleks was covering her mouth in shock. While Charles was just standing there also being shocked and was gripping his glass.

Mason walked over as he touched Koa’s shoulder while glaring at Adler. “Russel. What do you mean he’s GONE?”

“What did you do to him, Adler?” Woods asked the question as he took a step forward while glaring at him.

Adler was silenced again as he sighed trying to find the right words.

Aleks looked at Adler with saddened eyes. “Adler…?”

He was about to say something before jolting at Koa, grabbing him by his leather brown jacket and getting his back slammed against the wall.

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO HIM?!?” Koa yelled, making everyone panic.

Mason quickly grabbed Koa’s shoulder trying to pull him away but he’s too stubborn and strong to be pulled back. “KOA! CALM DOWN!”

“Koa! Let go of him NOW!” Hudson ordered the Captain.

But he didn’t listen as he slammed Adler again against the wall. “WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO BELL?!? TELL ME!”

Adler groaned as he grabbed onto Koa's arms. “Let GO of me, you bastard! Get OFF!"

“Not until you TELL me what you did to the man who had HELPED us!”

“For fuck sake- LAZAR!” Hudson rubbed the bridge of his nose before pointing at Lazar.

Lazar stepped in and helped Mason to pull Koa away.

The Captain struggled to get out of their grip while still yelling at Adler.

Charles scoffed seeing this scene before looking at Adler. “Answer the DAMN question, Adler. What did you do to him and WHERE is he?” Then he glared at Hudson. “I know YOU have something to do with this as well.”

Hudson glared back at the Professor. “What made you say THAT?”

“Don’t play the dumb shit game here. You both are in the same agencies to SAVE the world but I know deep down that you’re just a bunch of BULLSHITS.” Charles snarled at both of the CIA agents. “So tell us the truth or I might reconsider Nakiu here to disfigure BOTH of your faces.” 

Charles gave them both a daggered stare as he took a quick swig on his drink down to his throat. Before Adler sighs in defeat and fixes himself up.

“The CIA had already put Bell under a death sentence. We’re only using him and keeping him alive for some information about Perseus.” Adler explained.

Aleks was confused as she looked at Adler. “DEATH sentence? What does that supposed to mean?”

Hudson stepped in to answer that. “Which means that he’s already no use for us after this mission.”

Everyone was stunned. Except for Park and Sims as the two looked away. Koa caught the two as he glared at them. While still being held back by Lazar and Mason.

“You two know about this DIDN’T you?” Koa said with anger.

“Hey man! I’m just a guy who solves problems! Which, in case you FORGET, that I provide materials for y'all. I didn’t know about the death sentence until NOW!” Sims raised his hands in defense.

“Yeah, by putting a SYRINGE into his fucking EYEBALL?”

“You WHAT?” Mason looked at Sims and Park with a dumbfounded look. “You put a syringe into Bell’s EYES? WHY?!”

Park motioned her hands towards Mason to calm down. “It’s the only way to get his memory back for him to tell us of where Perseus was at.”

Woods walked up while pointing his finger at her. “BULLSHIT! He could’ve died from how many times you have to put that in him!”

Hudson stepped in between Woods and Park. “Alright ENOUGH! Let’s just take a breather!”

Aleks was just looking at the gang back and forth before looking at Adler who was just standing there. “Adler…why would you do that? He TOLD us of where Perseus was at. And yet, you decided to…to KILL him?”

“That wasn’t my choice. He’s already on a death sentence under the hands of the CIA. It’s unfair, yes. Which is why Hudson wanted me to end him instead of them.”

“You CAN’T even think of another way to let him stay? O-Or let him walk freely just for a bit?”

“It’s not that simple Aleks-”

“It should’ve been simple!” Aleks yelled at Adler as tears slowly appeared into her brown sad eyes. She could feel a small pain piercing into her chest. “He TRUSTED us! He trusted KOA! He trusted CHARLES! He trusted WOODS! MASON! ME! EVERYONE in this fucking safe house!”

Everyone was looking at Aleks, seeing her for the first time being upset. Of course, she’s upset most of the time but not like this.

“¿¡¿CÓMO PUEDES HACERLE ESTO?!?” She walked up to him as she pushed him back. “¡¿POR QUÉ TIENES QUE HACER ESTO?!”

She started to hit him against his chest with her fist while still crying and yelling at him. Before Charles walked over and gently pulled Aleks away from him. He comforted her a bit before he gave a disappointed look at Adler.

Adler was just staring at Aleks who was crying as he was about to reach out to her. “I’m sorry…”

“No you’re not.”

Adler looked at Koa seeing him walking up to him. Lazar was about to grab Koa but stopped himself as he knew that the Captain needed to say something.

“You’re not SORRY because if you were you wouldn’t killed him.” Koa said as he blocked in front of Adler from Aleks. Towering over him again. He looked at the CIA Agent as he wanted to end him so badly. But Koa had been learning all of his life. Since the very beginning of him joining the army. He didn’t come this far to end with violence to someone who he was working with.

He took a deep breath as he slowly leaned back. “And even if you DIDN’T. You still won’t trust him.” He looked at Adler with sadden eyes before he slowly dug into his pocket and brought out the folded letter. The letter that he had found from his drawer.

Everyone was looking at Koa confusingly as they saw a paper in his hand.

Koa was just staring at the folded paper.

Breathing calmly before clutching onto it and looking Adler straight into his eyes. Through those ridiculous sunglasses “I’m done.”

Adler raised his eyebrows after hearing that from the Captain. “What?”

“I’m DONE. I’m done with this mission. I’m done with this war. I am done with you and your CIA bullshits.” Koa slowly looked at Adler with seriousness in his eyes. “I’m going back to New Zealand. Going back to the Army. And I would appreciate it if you NOT contact me. EVER.”

Adler was dumbfounded to hear this from Koa. It was unexpected that he would actually let one person who had passed. Could make him quit.

Koa then glared at Hudson. “I’m leaving tomorrow morning. I’m sure there are other people who would like to be your little PUPPET.”

Hudson was silenced when the Captain had pointed out to him. Which he looked away.

Koa kept his glare as he looked at Park and Sim. “I thought you guys knew better. Then being DESPERATE to solve or finding the answer.”

Sims rubbed behind his head and looked away. While Park looked at him with guilt as she rubbed her arm.

Koa sighed calmly before turning around to look at Woods and Mason. “Woods. Mason. It’s…an honor to be working with you both. I apologize that this meeting won’t last long.” 

“Hey, we understand your struggles. And…we’re sorry that this is a twisted night.” Woods said as he put his hand out to the Captain. “It’s nice meeting you, Captain.”

Koa looked at Woods' hand and smiled at him a bit before shaking his hand.

Mason also did the same with Koa and gave him a hug after. He appreciated this from him.

So Koa leaned back and gave him a nod before walking over while looking at Lazar. “Lazar.”

“Captain. ….I…” Lazar was trying to find words to say but seemed like he was too ashamed to even speak.

But Koa understands and just gives him a reassuring smile before patting his shoulder. “It’s alright, Lazar. I’m not blaming you.”

Then he got to Charles and Aleks. He slowly looked down at the woman who was crying still. He could see pain in her eyes as if she was blaming herself for not knowing the truth.

“Aleks…” Before he could say anything else. He suddenly felt Aleks hugging him. Koa showed his expression of being worried for his dear friend. As he hugged her gently.

“Lo lamento…” Aleks said it between her sobbing.

It broke Koa’s heart to see this woman who he called sister like this. He gently leaned her back and placed his hand on her cheek before wiping her tears away. “No lo seas. No lo sabías.” He said it softly before smiling at her.

Aleks was still feeling guilty when she saw Koa’s soft smile. She just smiled back a bit before hugging him again.

He chuckled as he didn’t reject another hug. And saw Charles was fixing his glasses. “Are you crying?” Koa cooed at him in a teasing way.

“Tch. As IF. I just got something in my eye.”

“Uh huh. Riiiiiiiiiiight.”

The Captain chuckled as he saw the Professor walk over. Seeing him sigh before running his hand through his brown hair.

Aleks leaned back and wiped her tears before looking at the two.

Koa and Charles were just staring at each other. Despite them hating each other, teasing each other and even getting on each other’s nerves. Koa knows deep down that Charles cared.

“Soooo. Wanna hug it out?” Koa asked with a small smile.

Charles rolled his eyes as he fixed his glasses before putting his hand out to Koa. “A handshake would be sufficient.”

The Captain smiled a bit as he took the Professor’s hand and shook on it.

“As much…as I despise you from the very beginning. I will be missing your annoyance around here. It will be quiet without you.” Charles said as he looked into Koa’s eyes. As if he meant it really well.

“Getting soft on me, Charlie?” Koa said with a teasing grin.

“DON’T make me take my words back, Nakiu.”

Koa laughed a bit before smiling at Charles and then at Aleks. “I…I’m really glad that I have met you both.” He said it softly.

“We’ll see you tomorrow when you go out.” Aleks promised as she wanted to see her friend one last time before departure.

Koa just smiled at her. “I would like that.” Then he sighs before turning to face everyone. “I’ll pack my things.”

After that, Koa had left to go to his room to get his things. Of course, he doesn’t want to leave. He doesn’t want to go away after everything that they have been through.

With some laughter, arguments and working together.

But…

It wasn’t the same without that ONE person that he deeply cared for. Hoping it’ll give him a second chance to change once and for all. And now…he lost it. AGAIN. ----------------------

Let's hope the coming year isn't nearly as bad as we think it's gonna be.

Something tells me there may be something out of the ordinary happen in this shitshow that we can't see because reasons.

Reasons like doomscroll propaganda, like Yet Another Influx of Bots...pornbots, russian psyop bots. liking posts from 3 or 4 years ago, and following.

Case in point, one I blocked yesterday: seemed to be someone "on our side", with multiple posts generally supportive of the Good Guys, but in their one-page-blog, there was 1) an antimask post, and 2) an antivax post, and 3) a political post basically saying we're doomed.

I'd advise everyone to block all unfamiliar usernames, especially those with obvious pornbot names like "sweetemily98", etc. See unfamiliar usernames in your likes or follows? Nuke-em!

These past ten days away from posting have been odd and rough. One of our number, my brother-from-another-mother in eastern OR called me out of the blue two days after xmas to tell me his wife had passed away that morning. This one hit hard...wonderful lady, he and I have been bros for 25+ years now...the two of them were beyond kind when I went on my big road trip in '13. They loaned me their vanagon to camp in for a week...just wonderful folks. And she made a damn fine breakfast. Please send some love to my bro. He'll know.

As for my situation, I tried to just let myself collapse for a few days. Tried. Downstairs neighbor situation gone DefCon4. Banging/thumping long into the night, and all day. Noxious chemical smells, several different ones, wafting up through the floorboards. Sometimes I wake up with my bronchs completely closed, especially when she uses one particular one.

I am, essentially, being poisoned in my own bed. They refuse to change their behavior, except to maybe bang less loudly. Chemical fumes come up through the floor like they are IN MY BEDROOM.

I did some googlin', and I think I figured out what they're doing: the daughter is probably making fake braids and "weaves" out of synthetic hair. google the dangers of that shit. I'm at wits end. I've had the manager up here a couple times to listen and smell but they always stop what they're doing when he's here...they see him walk up the stairwell.

She came up and screamed lies at my front door, trying to make all the other neighbors think I was the bad guy. She says the noise I hear is "children next door running up and down their livingroom". Bullshit. Bitch responds when I say something loud enough for her to hear: either gets mad and slams it all harder, or takes whatever it is into the bathroom, which is just as bad, and makes worse smells.

A few times she tried to bang softer, but every thump hits me in the kidneys. My PTSD is off the hook. I could not sleep for four straight nights. She went until 3:30 am one night, regularly goes until after 1am. Absolutley unresponsive. Absolutely not taking responsibility for endangering my health. I have asthma. These fumes are literally killing me in my sleep.

She refuses to do this in another part of the apartment, like the living room, or the kitchen where there is a VENTILATION hood, no no no she HAS to do it right under my fucking bed.

I am a nervous fucking wreck. I just re-added up bills for January and now I am gonna be like $45 short. I put one fucking gallon of gas in my truck, afraid to put more. I will have to only partially pay the Electric bill, I guess.

Living in abject poverty, in what is essentially an un-safe place that costs $2800/mo. And the agency that is trying to find me a roommate said i needed to "lower my price" to $1300/mo, but that won't pay the fucking rent.

I got notified in October that I am on the "waiting list" for a really cool "seniors only" subsidized complex in Berkeley that is on a creek, next to a park, run by a nonprofit org, that will take 1/3 of my SSI as the rent. I might actually be able to...you know, LIVE.

But it may be literally YEARS before I can actually end up there. I went back to the listing, and they say "no previous evictions", so if I finally am evicted for being broke, I won't be able to get into that complex.

I have no idea where i am on the list, I have no idea how many old people would essentially have to die for me to finally get an apartment there. I've been doing my best to just keep repeating a little mantra of "my new address is..." all the way down to the zip code. Over and over. I don't know what the fuck else to do.

The stress of this shit, plus the incoming shitshow that we all know is gonna happen, feels fucking lethal. But I'm a PTSD-stricken, broken old autistic nearly 66 year old man who can't really keep up the energy to "mask" enough to leave the house and get groceries, so what do I know.

I know I woke up screaming from a nightmare this morning.

I feel like I'm being hyper-acutely "Spidey-Sensed" to death. And as I typed that, the thumping from downstairs started in again.

Drums. Drums in the deep. That never stop. I am living in the fucking Chamber of Mazarbul. Literally.

I am gonna wait until tomorrow to start posting "regularly" again. My energy levels are not gonna allow me to do the three radio show posts, I will have to cut it back to one a day. So that brings me to another point:

So I will say it would might be hard but what about Harriet as the Rusted Knight stand in. Spending years dealing with guilt and horror of her willing to nuke a city just because she was told too. She could call the Lighting Trailer or something.

(Fun fact! When initially thinking about the major plot threads for the Sharc AU, I was actually going to have Harriet fall into the Ever After, find the time fruit and become the Juniper of the Sharc Universe. I have since decided against that, and feel safe sharing it.)

Harriet: Yep. I was Running Civies to the exit because Flame Girl and Polendina were fighting.

Yang: We all got knocked down here, obviously, and Salem got the Relic, but we know she doesn't have the maiden powers.

Harriet: Well. That doesn't sound great.

Ruby: Well, Neo, 'Cinder's Crony' fell with us. She hates my guts and ... It ... isn't good. Penny died. For real this time, no rebuilding, no recovering she's just ... gone.

Weiss: But there was only Alyx in the Story.

Harriet: The girl I met had a Brother. Lewis, and he was a lot more nervous and forward-thinking. And a hell of a lot more level headed. Lewis could stub his toe on a rock and he'd apologize to it. Alyx would stub her toe and make a guillotine for whatever tripped her up.

Blake: It sounds like we have a lot to talk about. Uh, do you have a place to stay or ...

Harriet: Yeah, I've got a cottage, let's move out.

Weiss: Well I'm glad you're not angry at us.

Harriet: Well, if it means anything ... I think you did the right thing standing up to the General. I know I made a mistake listening to him. *She beings walking*

Dopamine Week #4: Fic Recommendation

My theme for Dopamine Week is "WIPs." And on that front, I have two WIPs in mind: one that I am currently caught up on and another that I haven't gotten to fully sink my teeth into yet.

Recommendation #1: Edge of Daybreak Unbroken by @themagnificentmags

So, I think I began reading Edge of Daybreak Unbroken during the very first Dopamine Week, so I'm glad to be able to give it a recommendation and bring it full circle!

Here's why Edge of Daybreak Unbroken is worth your time:

The premise is Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, New Game Plus. And I love that. I find it has that meta quality narrative where I, as the reader, can empathize with the main character when she sees the outcome of a choice she never took.

Despite it being a game "retelling," it isn't a one-for-one copy and paste of the game's script. And even the events that we see happening through Eltura's eyes aren't always a match for what we see in the game, as she might just nuke the planet from orbit rather than deal with the obvious and problematic trap that lurks on its surface.

The prose is a beautiful balance of matter-of-fact, dry humor, and evocative description. Mags gets you the necessary information to understand what's going on in a very unfussy, reader-friendly way, and then hits you upside the head with a bat as she describes what its like to wiggle teeth loose from their sockets with a tongue and subsequently choke on them.

You really can't help but cheer for Eltura. She comes back to relive all her horrors because she wants Heinrix to stay with her this time (and who WOULDN'T want that?), only she slips and falls into Iconoclasm along the way. Also, I put her in the category of fashionable Rogue Traders because of her coat. She is criminally underrepresented in Rogue Trader art.

Mags is not just a delightful person, but also meticulous. She really wants to think through the lore and the canon implications of the story. So, you can be sure that Edge of Daybreak Unbroken is being written in a way that is thoughtful and deliberate.

Recommendation #2: Omnissiah Forgive Me by @jaal-ama-daravv

Having not gotten very far yet into Omnissiah Forgive Me, let me give you the reasons why I've chosen to catch up on the fic this week:

Pasqal is one of the hardest characters for me to write; his speech pattern and motivations generally elude me. And Jaal's got seven chapters of him? SEVEN chapters? Emperor above, grant me blessed cognition so that I may better write him!

Sometimes, I just need a little break from Marazhai or Heinrix, so why not sample something that isn't Nocturne or Calligos? :D

I've had the pleasure of hearing Jaal narrate excerpts during our live readings, and she puts so much raw emotion into each and every word. It is electrifying. I cannot WAIT to see how that plays out on the page.

Damn, if Kassard's description doesn't come off as an absolute and utter badass. Tall, strong, scarred woman? Not afraid of her emotion? Heck yes.

A shout goes out to Jaal herself for her dedication not just to the story, but also the Rogue Trader community. Whether she's a mod or organizing the gift exchanges, she's somewhere being a positive contributor! And she does all of that on top of one of the hardest real life jobs that I can imagine, so she deserves double the praise!

So I was taking a look at the World's Perdition text for a Sothis fanfic I'm writing and I have to wanted to get your thoughts on something (sothis expert that you are)

The Agarthan talks about how they nuked 4 lands in their preemptive attack on Sothis. When I first read this I assumed they did this all in one go, but thinking on it it doesn't make too much sense. Unless they were worried about Sothis using some god magic to teleport out of the way (which, fair all things considered) they would have no reason to nuke FOUR cities/regions/countries at once. Sothis can't be that big that they needed to bomb all four to cover her.

So unless they were worried about her teleporting, that must mean they did this four separate times. Which means Sothis got f**king nuked, went to another city, and had this interaction:

Sothis: yo wtf just happened? Who nuked an entire city? Do you know how many people got murdered?

Leader of that city: um, well you see. The thing is... can you wait just one minute?

Leader dude (off to the side): guys you screwed up. The false god lived through the nuke.

Agarthan in a different city who has keys to the nukes: what do you mean she survived? Thinis got wiped out. The land vanished. She can't be alive.

Leader dude: well she right in front of me, asking what happened, so someone screwed up. Teleport me out of here and try again!

Then they nuke city number 2. And Sothis, again, survives and goes wtf. Presumably has that exact same conversation. Gets nuked again and yet again goes to another city to figure out why these people are killing their own cities, wiping out thousands at least. And then it happens again!!!

Like, no wonder Sothis is pissed. They did this to her four times! And it never worked!

Also!!! The book never actually states Sothis flooded the world. Only that the Agarthan expected her to. Which, given that they nuked her four separate times, I can't blame him for thinking. But they got the f*ck out of dodge before finding out so it's possible Sothis got nuked four times, found out the perpetrators went underground, and proceeded to shrug and coma herself to heal the world. It even lines up with Rhea's dialogue in Verdant Wind. Or the flood was her extinguishing the flames from the pillars of light, like the ones in that one fire canyon whose name I can't recall, and it was never meant to kill anyone. After all, the Agarthans literally nuked four of their own cities. There might not be that many left standing or they just got mixed with the humans Sothis creates to repopulate Fodlan after four lands got nuked while TWSITD stayed underground.

I've been trying to figure out how to write about the extreme nature of Sothis' divine retribution against the Agarthans as being unjust for attacking the whole for what may be the actions of a few (or just a particular cult), but it might've not happened in the first place!

Am I reading this wrong? I never thought TWSITD had any leg to stand on, but I was willing to entertain the idea that Sothis went too far with her counter attack in driving them all underground. It also gave a good parallel to Rhea being better in sparing the Elite's families which would show that she's ready to guide Fodlan in Sothis' place, but Sothis might not have even done that!

(Of course I haven't taken a look at Hopes if it confirms the flood actually happening, but I'm alright with ignoring that mess with what it did to... so many characters)

Have you read my longer posts about the "Ancient History of Fodlan"? I talk about the war between Sothis and the Agarthans with my thoughts on what happened. There is also some speculation on what the "Flood" really was. I do think Sothis went scorched earth on the Agarthans.

In terms of the Agarthans nuking Sothis and her surviving, there are several possiblities;

Sothis's dragon form really is that big that they need to blow up 4 countries to cover her.

They nuked her 4 seperate times like you suggested.

They also targeted lands with Nabateans in them out of spite.

They tried to nuke Sothis but some weird magic forced them away to different countries, much like Aillel.

Their aim sucks lol

Though.. I am not sure which one it is. The wording of the text makes it sound like the nukes were fired at the same time, and that Sothis still stood when several countries had been blasted off the map.

Personally? I think 1, 3 or 4.

But if you're writing a fic, don't worry too much about how canon you are to the lore. It's very vague and up to interpretation. Your thoughts are just as valid as mine.

Secret Invasion questions

Going into the finale, I still have a lot of questions about Secret Invasion. Foremost amongst them is, "why is this a show? Did you feel you had to make this just because there was a comic run called Secret Invasion?"

How long has Rhodey been a Skrull and when did it happen? I need an exact date and location of his human body, pls.

Was Varra "working with" Gravik? Because there was a lot of build up to her getting that gun and we were supposed to be surprised Nick's wife was a Skrull. But we never saw her do anything with Gravik besides introduce him to Nick as child. She didn't kill Nick which was the one order she was given.

Still don't know how Skrull!Ross tricked Maria Hill (if indeed that was Maria Hill, still hoping for an LMD).

Why were Nick Fury and Carol Danvers unable to find the Skrulls a home world? (BTW if the Skrulls are immune to radiation and "like the cold" could they survive on a planet in our solar system that is not habitable to humans? Or could they go live in regions of Earth that humans can't survive in? IDK if they like the cold I think think they should just ask some nice Canadians for a place to stay instead of starting a war.)

Why was Nick pretending to be a bad spy for a couple episodes if he didn't have any real arc to coming back to his Eyepatch and Trenchcoat? Was this all just a ruse to get Gravik to be cocky and self assured? Because it seems like he already was.

If Gravik is so dumb now why did they spend the entire first episode convincing us he was smart? (Why did Maria have to die?)

Talos said there are a million Skrulls but we have seen a couple dozen. Are there like Skrull families off living their best life who have nothing to do with this? Or are there other factions? I don't get it.

Why DO the Skrulls "like the cold" if they are reptiles? Don't reptiles often freeze in cold weather? I have no idea what Skrull biology is. It makes no sense.

Talos hated Gravik's plan from the jump. As did one woman on the Skrull council. G'iah, Beto, and even Pagon have all decided its a crap plan now after initially being on board. Varra disobeys his orders. Who actually is on Gravik's side besides Raava/Rhodes and the UK Prime Minister?

Russian intelligence. I know Russian intelligence might not work US or British groups. But they must know there are Skrulls in Russia. It's not my impression of that country that they are lacks with security. Can Putin (or whoever in President of Russia in the MCU) just call Ritson and be like, "Hey, bro I hate America and think you suck but that attack wasn't us, let's all just relax." Gravik is acting like this is the Cuban Missile Crisis when everyone was just waiting to nuke each other.

Is Monica on SABER? Can I see her? Did her and G'iah ever hang out? Can we move on yet?

Does Sonya know Blade? Because she should totally be in charge of the Midnight Suns or something.

I was just thinking at the end of the level 60 quest if X'ruhn is in his 40s then lambert probably is too and arya looks to be a teenager, wouldn't it be be messed up is she was his daughter or something. the only reason i didn't quite believe it is because lambert said he's been in a magical coma for many years.

i think its pretty interesting that despite its reputation it is not black magic that is the successor to void magic, it is red magic. and this is despite both black and void magic originating from mhach.

the writers did this to keep sylphie's importance to the plot but this is a massive plot hole that e-sumi is having sylphie be gatty's teacher. first because as e-sumi himself said sylphie is still learning as an acolyte herself, she might have powerful instinctual magic but her learned knowledge isn't that good. second she wouldn't know white magic or padjal specific stuff. this is such a bad decision. also sylphie is still a kid has shown to be overwhelmed by the scale of this problem and having to take care of and be responsible for another kid. i guess the excuse is that it's technically the wol who's suppose to be doing the teaching but we all know that the player isn't going to be doing anything.

Now with the pleasantries out of the way, let's talk about the actual episode! Admittedly, it caught me off guard that both Bob and Meggy occupied some of the rooms in the Castle. Bob I get it, sure, he lives in the dump, but Meggy does have her home. Then again, it's not 4's Castle, it's the Crew's. 4 just happens to own the property and live there. In some past episodes, Melony has slept over at the Castle instead of her apartment, so it's not out of the question. Plus, I could never imagine 4 rejecting them a place to stay if they need it. Once again, their Castle. (However.... *stares DIRECTLY at the unfinished 2nd floor*)

If it wasn't obvious already, I LOVE cleaning, and I wouldn't mind sitting through Luigi's presentation frfr. (And the episode had to be trash, yea ik.) And about the scene with 3 & Mario in the kitchen, I actually wanted to bring in a bit of behind-the-scenes from editor Star:

I always loved the behind-the-scenes stuff and sharing it with you guys :) It kinda goes hand-in-hand with the moment 3 wanting to go back to his clean cafe. speaking of, I MISS THE CAFE SO BAD.

Speaking of that scene, it was indeed a funny bit of 3's plan of shoving a bunch of spoiled food into Mario ADJL;'LJK. Not the best plan there, bud. (and yea, I'm allowed to say is as someone who's friend-shaped 😊↕️)

I do love the callback to the infestation episode for Bob, I appreciate that, idk how to describe it. And I'm not sure if the Team intended this or not, but I also loved the subtle callback to Western Spaghetti and Meggy's attachment to certain materialistic things bc of her past, I totally get it. And her eventually throwing the chopsticks to the bin, I actually didn't mind it.

Yall might come at me with pitchforks but it was kinda similar to how 4 was in the Mario PC episode. 4 was given a choice to accept a deal to save his past work, and he immediately declined. In some way, he learned from IGBP, not fully but it's a big step in the right direction. Same here with Meggy, she was very attached to those chopsticks bc, like she said, they've been through a lot. Like her beanie given by Wren. But she saw what it truly meant and decided to move on, dropping the sticks in there. Again, a step.

Then, there's that door. What a coincidence that as soon as 4 said "where are we supposed to put [the trash]", the door is right there in the background. Hmmmmmmmmmm, istg the Team had this door out to get me. TEASING US. *shakes vengeful fist* we shall meet again, my mortal nemesis….....

And now, probably the whole reason yall are here for, let's talk about 4:

It is absolutely insane that the Team did that! Not just ptsd anymore, they outright say it in the show, "hey, remember when this happened to you?" I still can't wrap my head around it. Regardless, I did feel SO bad for 4. ik how Swag is, gotta love him, but BUDDY, YOU CAN'T SAY THAT! :(

4's already suppressing his trauma and guilt from IGBP. He blames himself for the whole incident when he was possessed for most of it, he lost his home the first time. Ofc he's terrified of it happening again, of losing his home the second time. Honestly, If I were him, I would've pushed all the trash and everyone out the door, and then curled up in my bed for the rest of the day. With everything he went through, I wouldn't be able to handle it. "oh, I can just nuke it like I did in the most traumatic moment of or life, it's a lost cause" <- you would see me on the news. And ofc he wouldn't do what I would do, he's 4.

He somehow held back, still doing everything he could to save it. And y'know what would make it worse, if this was the first time 4 learned that the Crew was willing to nuke the Castle while 4 and the rescue trio were still in there. Not that I blame the Crew, it was possible for the red monster to spread across the kingdom and put everyone in danger. But it is a bit messed up that the Crew didn't warn them to get out of there before they did the act. idk what to think man..... regardless, that's a post for another day.

Back to the topic, 4 definitely belongs on my "saviors in blue" list. And ofc, adding it in as more proof to the horus eye/glitch segment of my theory:

His left eye is in the frame, the true side of him. Unlike in WOTFI 2024, it was with his right (his perfectionism side) when Puzzles brought back that ptsd the first time. One where he was scared of the incident happening again, the other's a reminder that he was the "cause" of it happening.

Now there has been some talk about about how his perfectionist side slipping through the cracks and seeming like he learned nothing out of IGBP. I suppose I should bring in my thoughts into this (yea, you can get your pitchfork ready 😔). I do love when 4's guilt and trauma come back in moments like these, and as co-ceo of the goop!4 theory, I can appreciate it with a "HELL YEAH".

The in-universe explanation I can provide of his perfectionism is that he's a content creator. All he wants is to entertain people and make them happy, ofc he wants to deliver the best of his work out there. Also, as a Meme Guardian, it's a part of him and his duties. But realistically, it's sometimes like that. As someone dealing with ptsd myself, those old habits/traits that caused the incident slip through in what we do. The least we want is for that incident to happen again, we'd go through extreme panic if we're remotely close to it, but we sometimes do said traits unintentionally.

For a person like 4, who has been suppressing all of it for a long time, it would be harder for him to recognize them immediately. And like in the Mario PC Virus episode, that was very paralleled to IGBP, 4 didn't have the same hesitation. Sure, he wasn't dealing with a life there, but he did learn. Up to now, like in the past arc, he prioritized his friends more than anything. Even if he was injured. It's understandable why he's dealing with his ptsd in an unhealthy way, even if it isn't right. I can see why people may have fixed feelings about it, but those are my thoughts.

The not in-universe explanation is the change of writers. Not that it should be an excuse but it's hard to pick up the pieces, as someone who works in production.

As we prepare for war they are preparing for their chicanery and cosplay excitement stuff and we go along with it because we use the gear a lot of times we find them even in their **** cities in cosplay. Can we survive a Nuclear War,... the government thinks so.....

Did ya know the CIA and other government agencies with names no one knows believe it is possible that the US could win a nuclear war. They believed that if the US launched a massive attack at the right time, there would be little chance of inflicting proportional damage on the US, and over 50% of Americans could survive the fallout from other nations as it circled the earth.

The fact that they are contemplating winning a nuclear war is astounding to say the least, not to mention writing-off HALF of the American people in this power play, and because they have the resources to play and survive the game, YOU DON'T.

These are real research projects done by our government, funded by you the taxpayer to establish if a nuclear war scenario is winnable............. I mean just look at the many government grants that are given to movies, documentaries and television series about what life might be like after a nuclear war happens , like it's just another tragedy that's bound to happen as the risk of nuclear war has increased dramatically in the past two years as the United States and Russia have abandoned long-standing nuclear arms control treaties, and then started to develop new kinds of nuclear weapons that could just kill biological units (people) and leave the structures alone so they could be re-occupied when the dust settles, saving billions in construction costs, and expanded the circumstances in which they might use nuclear and bio-weapons,........... like we're getting ready for it.

roka parmania: she's a mono ailment sharpshooter unit with status ailment 80% sp boost. she's here because she can kill every goon equally and ranged resistance doesn't apply to her. great damage kit, i have her at full 20s, but unfortunately mine is only 1 copy and therefore she can't have crits. someday... someday i'll max trans her and then she'll stand at the top of my ranged sp units. i think she mightt be faster than lunart iirc, and has shared complete status immunity. not a fan of how she lacks ailment proc rateups but her tracking vortex on s2 more than makes up for that.

lunart (LUNar ARTbook ichigo): is a mono ailment marauder unit with the former best kit in the game. he came out just before annizen to succeed machine society nemu. he's a fairly speedy lad with complete status immunity (unshareable) and he kills everyone equally as melee resistance doesn't apply to him. i used him for tech week because mine has the most transcendence out of my full 20s linkslotted units. i rerolled his shitty 2 stars sp into 3 stars sp right after or the day of tech week ending.

new bambi: she's mono ailment but she's got frenzy +2 and havoc and sharpshooter. increased ailment proc against ATTRIBUTE (so her proc rateup is not limited to affiliation AND attribute, it just targets every speed enemy equally). ailment SP +80% boost AND increased damage to enemies afflicted by her ailment. she's got the fanciest new kit to date. she kills everything equally without dealing with ranged resistance. and i just didn't fucking get her bc i wanted the pretty mila rose (didn't get her either rip).

new toshiro: i will be honest i have a grudge against toshiro because i got enough dupes of dapper noble power element toshiro to max trans AND 3 star sp roll him on a banner when i Really Did Not Want Any Toshiros Whatsoever. that being said let's take a look at his kit. ok he's mono ailment and has a full stam dmg boost kit, with marauder and shared complete status immunity. he has havoc ofc, if you're reading this i will really only comment on havoc for the ones who lack it tbh. he's more of a support role for getting your other teammates out of the ailment pools alive if you have them, but hey i respect it. sometimes it's better for the one carrying if your teammates can survive until the end. it's the nuking the bosses that's the easy part. why am i so easily distractible?

new retsu: i don't have her either but let's take a look at her kit, shall we? she's got frenzy +2, havoc, marauder, the works. dual-ailment on everything except s3 which heals the entire party/team. her ailment proc-based damage boosts don't exist, instead she has a full stamina damage boost (FSDB) build. having an extra 6% sar at full stamina helps her cycle through her strong attacks faster. i see the potential for her to be used with a team/party shield unit so she can soak damage with shields and remain at full stamina. marauder means she ignored melee resistance.

quincigo 2.0: i don't have him either he was released while i didn't give a shit about the game for awhile because i left becuuse i was bitter about not having christmas orihime. having said that let's look at his kit! he's got sprinter 2, frenzy 2, and havoc. the basics are all here. he has FSDB and boosts party SAD (strong attacks' damage). bruiser AND berserker so he'd be decent as a nad unit as well. and last but not least he has ailment proc vs attribute, so he's not limited to increased proc rate by speed AND affiliation. and to finish it off, an ailment +80% sp boost. all in all a decent unit. he has sharpshooter so he ignores ranged resistance.

manga aizen: didn't he used to be a meme because of how bad he was???? am i simplly just imagining that he got a buff?????? it might have happened after i got mad abt no christmas orihime and deleted. anyways, let's look at his new and improved skills. OH WAIT FUCK. THE SHITTY ONE WAS A DIFFERENT ELEMENT. THE SHITTY ONE WAS MIND ELEMENT. hahaha that's what happens when you design the two so similarly i guess. i still have no recollection of actually pulling him tho o_O

manga aizen 2.0 is a mono ailment ranged NAD unit without sharpshooter, so he will need either teammates with melee attacks or a sharpshooter teammate to kill the enemies with ranged resistance. he hits all affiliation dodges which is really useful for Hard Quests, but not relevant for extreme coop. his guard break& hit hidden enemies means you can stack him with the double chappy + hollow bait configuration if you have a gold chappy for technique. and even if you don't that's still one slot you could give to a wooden sword or something (he's reaper affiliation and the sword iirc boosts reaper/captain NAD). while his NAD isn't spectacular, only being 20 while the current most NAD on a unit is 30%, he has frenzy 1 and a decent amount of bruiser and gives many barriers to everyone on the team from s2. he's got increased ailment proc against attribute and status ailment ATK boost +80% (the NAD counterpart to status ailment SP boost +80%). all in all i wouldn't use him because i have marauder and sharpshooter units but goddamn is it fun when one joins my coop room.

pot/spot grimmjow: i got mine just recently so he's only full 15's linkslots. he's a mono ailment melee sp unit, which is the second or third riskiest unit type to use--after melee NAD units and the shitty old units who weren't designed with the goal of dealing damage. he's only got one level in sprinter, so be careful even using him with hit-and-run tactics if you use him to run SPOT coop. he does have a team-party wide technique elemtn boost to ailmented enemies, so he'd pair well with proc rate up tech units (though this should be obvious as POT and SPOT runs both require you to use the element that has advantage over the enemies). he doesn't have marauder, which leaves him a liability in paintbrush week, so he needs teammates who have sharpshooter/marauder or just straight up ranged allies who won't die. he has two frenzy and decent havoc, and deals extra damage to ailmented enemies, but he doesn't have proc rateup skills. he's alright. extremely niche, but he's alright.

pretty coin bonus gin: i don't have him but i Know of him while researching coin bonus +70% units because i think it's fucked up how the units whose entire soul trait is coin bonus are just inherently Worse than some schmuck whose soul trait is something else entirely. but on the other hand 183% theoretical coin boost limit Delicious. so, you win some you loose some. anyways let's take a look at his kit that's not about coin boost or POT/SPOT bonus. pretty CB gin is a mono-ailment melee sp unit, with decent basics frenzy 2, havoc, longstride AND sprinter (speedy speed boi alert). he has increased procrate against element, so his proc-up affects all speed element enemies. he's got a delicious bonus damage to ailment afflicted enemies, as well as guard break&hit hidden enemies. so you don't need to equip him with the zeta pill, because he will kill your floor shadows and landshark sandsharks (if you are fighting them). so if i had him and wanted him to deal damage, i'd give him a tech artisanal tea set, a fort pill, and either a tenshintai (if i opened the room and wanted to nuke) or a lieutenant's badge (if i joined the room and wanted that sweet sweet extra SAD). he also boosts speed of teammates/party members if they are also tech attribute (which assuming this was tech week i sure fucking hope so). so either team him with some ranged teammates or get a marauder/sharpshooter unit on your team.

the Better pot uryu: honestly i don't care to talk about him rn because i just got both the two new units so we'll make this quick. he's built to run SPOT runs, with guard break&pierce iron skin. basic frenzy 1 and havoc, FSDB along with party heal when entering a new room. he's very much a coop unit as that party heal passive wouldn't activate in epic raids because the room counts as the same room no matter the boss phase.

honorary mention to technique attribute ninny, who had the skill Nullify Ranged Resistance 100% which does the same thing as sharpshooter but klab wanted to put different words onto it. one time when i was really new, like my strongest tech unit was...SAR -14% Sui Feng (the one who you can res into a SAD/SAR unit nowadays), i had my first paintbrush week and the coolest moment was when i teamed up with this one technique ninny user. they kept carrying me and would nuke the last room so that everything crumbled beneath their strength of destruction...it was so cool! (nowadays i would say they absolutely 100% equipped a tenshintai. no hacks, because there was no weird glitching). anyways one time we waited a really long time but no one else joined the room so the ninny user decided to just go with me. at first, i was skeptical that we could clear the entire thing with only two people, but my eyes were opened that day to the things you could do with strong units (that ninny was iirc max transed). and also that player taught me the fun of using skills after the final boss had been cleared but before the room goes to rewards menu. never got the chance to befriend that person but every time i clear a room or "dance" after victory, i think of them. hope they're doing well.
