Why is Speed Dating Popular in Atlanta?
1. Busy Lifestyles, Limited Time
Atlanta is a bustling city with professionals, students, and artists who often have packed schedules. Speed dating provides a way for busy singles to meet many people in a short period, saving time compared to traditional dating or endless swiping on apps.
2. Face-to-Face Connections
While online dating is convenient, nothing beats meeting someone in person. Speed dating lets you experience instant chemistry and gauge a person's personality through body language and conversation. This in-person connection is something that can be difficult to achieve with online messaging. read More

the truth is that in spite of being born and raised in Atlanta, where Waffle House was basically* founded, I have, in fact, never been in one.

Do Not Disturb Spa: Luxe Recovery
After my Lagree class today, I visited Do Not Disturb Spa in Atlanta, and it was everything I needed. The space was stunning—calm, modern, and totally luxe. I did the 25-minute cold plunge and sauna session, and my muscles were beyond grateful.
The cold plunge was intense but refreshing, and the sauna melted away all the tension. By the end, my body felt amazing, like I hit a full reset. If you’re in Atlanta, this spot is a must-visit for some serious self-care!

Was talking about this with Natalia yesterday but one thing I've noticed moving out west from someone who's lived in the deep south her whole life is that everyone here is so. I guess the best word is unfriendly? Not like rude but I mean like from a southerners stand point it comes off as rude. I know it's just a culture difference but every time I've gone to the doctor or even just like cashiers at the store you try to start a conversation and are shot down pretty hard when I like didn't even want to talk much I just wanted to be friendly it's what you do in public but then I'm like damn maybe it's just something you do in the south where southern hospitality is ingrained in every person from infancy and they instead are mad at you for daring to speak beyond what is contractually required in the social situation
