all this said id love the theory being thrust unto the characters, particularly my blorb jason, and seeing their reactions. cassandra especially, being the single person most hurt from the 'family' structure—cain having total utter control over her, before she broke free of the structure and became homeless and just as isolated. jason i would say is the runner up in this context, having had four total parental losses and the total isolation that was a result of the family structure—later leading to his death by chipping away at his faith in the family structure, which for him was literally just bruce/batman and the vague notion of dick grayson.

i think jason and cassandra have a lot to share with each other and their experiences with severe isolation. deprivation.

A type of ambiguity that goes on to strongly feature throughout the nccts with regard to how it handles the metafictional.

Of course, this is a crock of shit that largely serves to isolate them from others and keep them under her thumb. cobalt has 'altar boy with Doubts and Questions that keep getting shut down in favor of encouraging blind faith and belief in the unerring supremacy of the divine' issues and chartreuse has 'perfect church girl in love with someone the church categorically rejects' issues and crimson has 'my abusive mother who teaches sunday school and hosts cutesy church ice cream socials like she doesnt try to kill me regularly decided to name me judas did you honestly expect me to turn out well-adjusted' type issues.

But also spectrum definitely isnt a 1 to 1 reflection of any of the mainstream traditional conceptions of the christian god, at their closest resembling the gnostic esoterica concept of the pleroma but not even quite that because spectrum is an amoral gestalt being who Happens to support good more often than not (at least in theory) but also creates awful circumstances because kindness and hope in the face of despair is Compelling, and thats what its really wants, compelling feelings and thought, because it creates and then feeds on the ideas and feelings its creations elicit, which inspire new creations in turn.

im not going to reblog that post or even engage with the OP because theyre clearly smart yet misguided but it is incredibly funny to me to describe an exact way in which trans men face transphobia and then tag it "obviously i think transandrophobia is a crock of shit" and ascribe insecurity onto "all transandrobros." personally im not that insecure in Being A Man and thats not at all why i talk about the transphobia i face, and while i agree people definitely get a little reactionary, there are also people who look at transmasc-specific post and go "you dont have it as bad" as a direct way to invalidate their experience. so its very funny to see someone both acknowledge that behavior is an issue, and then literally do that behavior. youre smart, but youre not brilliant, for sure. and to be frank, i can forgive people for getting reactionary when they're being constantly invalidated. even if youre not being invalidating on purpose, you should be able to understand why a group that you yourself have pointed out are constantly invalidated get defensive when they seem to be being approached with invalidation.

and besides all of that -- transandrophobia, as a theory, isn't Only For Trans Men And Mascs. it's about the way masculinity is demonized in queer communities and it impacts everybody including intersex people, nonbinary people, and even trans women. so always reducing the discussion to trans men is just irritating at best.

i was mistaken

anons i come to you today with an apology, my previous post seems to be based on a metric fuckton of lies and misinfo

to start, im gonna link this post, which goes over the origin of this whole issue

im also gonna go ahead and be done with censoring red, since the cat's kinda out of the bag on their edentity and its necessary for proper proof. Red = legion in all screencaps

so after my post was dropped, Red was also making their own somewhat callout on TH. i dont know if it's been deleted since frankly I don't care to find it. anyways

my post and Red's callout were both dropped like bombs in terra server, there was a lot of arguing and zaga actually gave a screen recorded video of DMs they had on instagram with Red. this was pretty damning, and lots of people came back to Red to try and figure out what really happened, seeing as Red had presented the situation as:

they were banned unfairly and out of nowhere

they had no clue who could have made the complaint

the only person who could have made it was zaga, who had issues with them based on a debate months ago and they since hadnt really interacted with them

well this turned out to be a whole crock of bullshit!

first, red showed a screencap that their last interaction with zaga was actually a week ago as opposed to being a “months old issue that is getting dragged back up” (link)

then, Red sent these screenshots that completely changed the narrative. we went from "this guy i had an argument with a few months ago is trying to get me banned everywhere" now to "i was saying crazy shit about this guy and now theyre reasonably upset with me"

as a small afterword i want to apologize for playing a part in the spread of misinfo, hopefully this post is proper retribution for that (i do consider myself more of a reporter above all else) additionally, while it's clear now who is in the wrong/right here, there are still critiques to be made on the handling of the situation on the part of terraliens staff. The caginess with any sort of proof makes it difficult for someone to truly know what they're even being banned for, and what accusations they're defending against. the argument could be made that if proper context from staff was given, this situation wouldn't have even unfolded, but of course hindsight is 20/20. in the future it might be better to give better context or evidence to the banned person so they know what they're supposed to be proving incorrect, as opposed to saying "someone said you're harassing them, prove you didn't."

As for the others who played a part in spreading my post, I don't mean to speak for them, however it does seem like many are regretful after now seeing the full picture. since the argument was made that both sides should be heard, it was a pretty big oversight to not look for the OTHER other side in this; i think most are painfully aware of that now.

in conclusion:

do not harass anyone here. im gonna give all parties the benefit of the doubt and say that:

Legion is a misinformed, immature kid who really handled this like shit, and its probably best that theyre banned and blocked by zaga all things considered (this isnt a reason to like, pray on their downfall though. just ignore them at worst, sure they fucked up here but it seems they really just need to become more mature and learn more about best practices when interacting and dear god do not shit talk people like that)

Zaga was telling the truth about this situation. have whatever opinions you want to have about isopups or them outside of this, but there is no denying that legion presented a false situation and zaga was in fact being continually messaged and had rumors spread about them from legion

the outsiders/orbiters of the situation were given a false injustice and ran with it. personally i cant say i blame them a ton for wanting to spread the word about what seemed to be YET ANOTHER terra staff oversight, because so many people just want to bury their heads in the sand about every issue that goes on here. additionally, upon learning that the situation was severely different from how it was originally presented, many turned around and began critiquing legion for the shit they did.

i think thats about enough coverage of this, im gonna refrain from posting asks i get about the situation trying to paint a different picture since honestly it doesnt seem like it needs much more dissection. lets not beat a dead horse.

we didn't "dogpile" anyone, what happened was somebody was posting, tagging seebs and commenting on posts, incessantly. specifically, falsely accusing seebs of being a pedo/defender, in response to seebs saying, very clearly, somebody who does not sexually assault children is preferable to somebody who does. it obviously was nonsensical, and I said to seebs that I didn't know exactly how, in the current political climate, people could go out falsely accusing random queer people of being pedos... then the random asshole started replying to my reblogs and telling me to unalive, then started sending me hate messages saying that too because, apparently, just saying "that's bullshit" warrants stupid harassment. having followers myself, this obviously led to those agreeing with me weighing in too, I can't and won't tell people to avoid expressing their opinions when someone harasses me. it's definitely not "calling me out" to send messages telling me that.

not to "they started it!!" but yeah, if I speak to someone about it actually being ridiculous that you're harassing them, and so you begin randomly harassing and suicide baiting me, I will respond.

Having long reblog chains arguing with someone who’s lobbing insults at you is not productive, I don’t think it helps them much and i am skeptical of it helping anyone around them. It kind of just gives me a lot of secondhand embarrassment for everyone involved. Maybe it’s just because I used to engage in long instagram comment arguments where nothing ever happened, but I also feel that gave me some good perspective on how much stuff like that actually does. They are not there to be talked to, they are there to get mad. They fundamentally do not believe the things they do for any logical reasons. There is no talking to them in a way that will get them to understand. You can tell them facts all day and they’ll just fight even harder about it.

The primary things that got me out of my conspiratorial, harmful, partially mental disorder-fueled thinking back in the day were time, my family, and youtubers i liked to watch. It’s not that I don’t think changing harmful beliefs is impossible, it’s that i think you cant do that with random strangers online who have no reason to listen to you (youtubers and shit are different because parasociality is a reason, perhaps THE reason, to listen for many people. Random Tumblr bloggers do not have positive parasocial relationships with other random tumblr bloggers who have never seen them before). So trying to do so comes off as kinda holier than thou and like a virtue signal to me. even though they supposedly are talking directly to the other side, it just ends up becoming preaching to the choir. ok allow me to rant for a minute completely separate from what prompted this. there are two main problems I find with the crowd that says kids shouldnt know what aromanticism and asexuality are because itll confuse them or whatever.

1. its disconnected from what being a possibly aspec kid is like. even if the romantic musings going on a schoolyard arent directly related to sexuality, it can still pretty blatant if you find yourself unable to relate to your peers when they start having crushes even if theyre based on half baked understanding of attraction. because our sense of attraction and distinction between feelings isnt fully developed obviously not everyone is going to realize if they dont feel the same way, but if they do, its super alienating!! even if they aren’t aspec, knowing about the aroace spectrum could provide the security that its fine if theyre not developing those types of feelings not just now but EVER. so often the assurance to this feeling of alienation is “you’ll get it some day” and maybe some kids will, but some won’t. and I think we’re setting up kids for having a whole crock of shit to unpack when we don’t introduce the idea that they might never develop those feelings and that is okay if they dont when they question their absence.

2. the turmoil people get from misidentifying themselves at a young age,,, I think has more to do with the idea that sexuality is constant and unchanging and that you are born one way. while that philosophy rings true for some people, it is not for everyone, and neither should be a standard expectation. additionally you cant forget the impact of the idea that labels are constraints you have to exist within rather than descriptors meant to aid in communication. and the pressure to label yourself at all. pretty much every adolescent is subject to a grapple for a sense of identity, it is in no way limited to sexuality or absent in those who do not know about the aroace spectrum.  I agree that yes, many people are experiencing too much pressure to examine and explain every inch of themselves and their feelings, but failing to raise the possibility that they can have certain feelings (or lack thereof) and that there are others like them is only going to make people feel isolated and abnormal. if people would stop treating sexuality like.. I dunno. a definite. something thats meant to account for future developments that we cant even foresee, rather than a convenience in communicating your present state. whether or not you assume it to remain the same. I think itd be easier to come to terms with a new development in feelings or identity.

TLDR: maybe kids are misidentifying themselves as aspec but imo being more concerned with whether or not they are correct in their identification over making them feel validated in their present feelings causes more issues than it fixes.

but anyway im just theorizing. I dont think theres really a one size fits all answer for whats gonna give people the least clusterfucky sexuality crisis.
