kunikida. sure, dazai pisses him off, but it’s a very playful type of thing. kunikida would teach dazai to be less analytic, to listen to his emotions more, and dazai would (not in the best way but still) teach kunikida to work through his anger issues

YAYYYYYY FINALLY A BSD SHIP ASK :D SAPPHIC BSD SPECIFICALLY YES :D

• Okay since BSD isn’t my current hyperfixation this might be tricky BUT I was hyperfixated on it for like half a year not too long ago so I still have loads of info stored up in my brain to be dumped out

• Their first time meeting was when Kouyou was held captive by the Agency during the Guild Arc. They had heard of each other prior to that and being from rival organizations, they went in expecting to be enemies

• Their first impression was a rough one, but there was an underlying thread of chemistry. They matched each other’s banter very well, despite being used to having the final word at their respective organizations. It was a welcomed change

• And they’re both raging lesbians so like…hot lady who is my enemy…many thoughts occur

• It’s very much an enemies AND lovers dynamic, they meet up for secret rendezvous and then fight each other during times of conflict

• The tragic part is that they both like each other, that’s why it’s become an ongoing thing. That’s why they start going on secret dates in disguise, although they both claim to not enjoy it

• In another life they would’ve been soulmates, but their conflicting ideologies and rival positions force them to be enemies (because I like to make things overly romantic, sue me)

• They have a lot of insignificant things in common- favorite desserts, favorite books, etc. Those are important, but they’re also similar personality-wise and with their backstories

• I imagine Yosano dates around a lot and this makes Kouyou insanely jealous. They aren’t official so she technically can’t have a problem with it but it still gets under her skin

• So Yosano’s like “hey if you want to be exclusive just say that, there are no rules to this secret relationship thing” but Kouyou is too stubborn to admit she likes Yosano that much

• Yosano initially takes a very “your trauma is not my business” approach to their differing jobs but as things get more serious she starts to develop a slight savior complex. She goes from being completely unattached to way too attached. She wants to show Kouyou the light the way Ranpo and Fukuzawa did for her

• Speaking of which, there’s only one person who knows about their situationship and that’s Ranpo. He figured it out himself and mentioned it casually to Yosano one day, nearly giving her a heart attack. She knew he would find out eventually but it was very sudden. At least she has someone to vent to when things get especially confusing

• Higuchi and Gin eventually find out too because they catch them at the same lesbian bar

• Pretty soon it becomes an open secret

• I like to imagine there’s a big moment of confrontation between the PM and Kouyou that goes down exactly like the “how long have you been fucking Nate Jacobs?” scene from Euphoria

• Kouyou addresses Yosano as “Doctor” in public and “Akiko” in private

• Kouyou likes to use her mafia money to send Yosano anonymous gifts on a whim. Yosano always knows who they’re from

• Yosano’s favorite physical trait of Kouyou’s is her hair, Kouyou likes Yosano’s sadistic smile

• Speaking of which, Yosano definitely appreciates having a relationship where they get to beat the shit out of each other on occasion. It keeps the spark alive

• But on dates or in settings that are generally more intimate, Yosano is a total gentleman. She def gives all her girls the princess treatment. Kouyou is used to being the one to spoil women so this makes her very flustered

• They had one big fight about Mori and ever since then they made a silent agreement never to bring him up. When things are tense he becomes an elephant in the room

• In traditional “ADA member has a PM-related secret” fashion, Kunikida was the last to find out about their relationship

• This is so completely random but they remind me of Kermit and Miss Piggy. Yosano is Kermit

• Kouyou pretends to be severely injured every time the PM and ADA team up so she has an excuse to see Yosano

• Yosano sends Kouyou pictures of particularly bad crime scenes or injuries at random to jump scare her

• Kouyou likes classical music and Yosano is a metalhead

Yes, that’s right, it’s time for another round of “is it a shitpost or are you just happy to see me?” I’m here with another silly idea I’ve talked a bit about on my Discord. Ahem.

Obviously, this could work with a lot of BSD ships, but married Chuuatsu learning for the first time they’re on “opposite sides” is hilarious in my head.

omg i got so happy when i saw u watch hotd as well bc i have no one to ramble about about both bsd and hotd 😭😭 anyway something that came to me was the idea of a s1 alicole dynamic between dazai and reader. im not really happy w what they’ve done with alicent and cristons relationship in the second season nor do i ship them (rhaenicent truther here teehee) but i thought their season 1 dynamic was so intriguing. so maybe pm!dazai accidentally slips up to reader the first time he’s super, super drunk about mori killing the og pm boss (can’t remember his name) and he panics when he remembers in the morning. its basically a death sentence for him, and he’s even more afraid because of readers reaction; they did not say much, but teared up as alicent did when criston told her of rhaenyras affair with him. so he panics and it’s the first time he’s about to commit suicide, and of course not the last, but reader stops him from doing it. its the thing that seals his loyalty to her. because it’s not going to be his last attempt - but it’s something about how they stop him out of the kindness of their heart, not because they had to, and the fact that it’s the closest he’s ever gotten to succeeding. and from there there’s this unspoken companionship between them. they’re the only person who calls him osamu, not dazai. he’s always, always near them, sitting next to them at PM meetings. like a dog, a loyal hound. and it makes his leaving all the more painful because it severs that strange connection they have, and reader is so confused and disillusioned because he’s the only one that has consistently stuck by them and defended them if need be. i loveeee the idea of dazai with an alicent!coded reader, always committing themself to duty and sacrifice for the port mafia because it’s all they’ve ever known and all they’ll ever have.

Is it realistically possible for ships like TachiZaki to exist? Since Tanizaki’s obsession with Naomi is such a fundamental part of his being. The only scenario in which I can imagine Tanizaki forming a relationship with someone else is if Naomi somehow passes and he doesn’t coincidentially go on an absolute rampage. I’m not saying the ship is bad, I’m actually an enjoyer of it, I’m just seeking answers as to how would it work… :(

I mean… if you use his canon characterization and dynamic with Naomi, I’m inclined to say “no”. Tanizaki and Naomi’s dynamic in BSD is very much based on the relationships portrayed in the real Tanizaki Jun’ichirou’s works: blind and gratuitous devotion, oftentimes in a very dark, “dead dove: do not eat” kind of way. So if you’re asking, “would Tanizaki cheat on Naomi with Tachihara?”, given the base assumption that Tanizaki and Naomi are in an intimate relationship, my frank answer is definitely not.

Still, this isn’t to say that there’s no other scenarios where TachiZaki would be possible (that don’t involve simply killing off Naomi). The easiest way that this happens is that Tachihara enters into a polyamorous relationship with Tanizaki and Naomi. In fact, Tanizaki-sensei (the author) has actually written a story “Quicksand” (1931) featuring a four-way relationship between two men and two women. In such a situation I would imagine that Tanizaki could become equally as enamored with Tachihara as he is with Naomi; he’s just the kind of guy who falls way too far into love, in my opinion.

However… I want to close this ask out by saying that I will always be a strong supporter of treating canon characterizations and pairings as more of a gentle suggestion than gospel. So if people (me) want to slightly tweak Tanizaki in fanfiction so that he’s not actually in love with Naomi, and therefore available to fall head over heels for someone else, then there is literally nothing wrong with that.

Also I’m well aware that most of the fandom spent a very long time under the impression that Tanizaki and Naomi were siblings, and are justifiably squicked out by the idea that they’re involved in a romantic sense, even after it was revealed that they aren’t related, so I absolutely understand that some people just are not, and will never be comfortable with the idea of Tanizaki and Naomi as romantic partners. So like, not to say that there ever needs to be a reason/justification for shipping something other than the canon ship, but I think there’s definitely more than enough of a justification if people want to ship Tanizaki with someone else.

Will do angst, fluff, comfort, smut, whatever you can imagine. I’m willing to write incredibly graphic and intense works, but when it comes to smut, nothing too kinky. And please, although it shouldn’t even have to be said, do not request smut for characters under the age of eighteen (I won’t do aged up versions of minor characters either).

Will do almost any ship, but there are some ships I won’t write for, specifically abusive ships and ships including incest or ships with large age gaps. Other than that, I’m pretty open for even some of the most wildest ships. My Opinion On Every Single Bungou Stray Dogs Ship

Part One- Het Ships I

If you’ve followed me on Tumblr or Instagram for any amount of time you will have heard me trash talk certain ships (and shippers), and also have heard me say stuff like “I don’t really like any of the popular ships” “I don’t care about most ships from this fandom”. But ever want to know what I truly think of them? Probably not. In this series, I will be going through the list of ships on the Wiki and giving a detailed opinion on each and every one. Yes, even the crazy ass ones like Atsushi x Chazuke. I’ll be going in the order that is on the website.

Akipoe/ Akiko Yosano x Edgar Allen Poe: This is a ship? I haven’t heard about it in the nearly four years I’ve been in this fandom. Okay. It’s weird because it’s like someone took the two most popular people to ship Ranpo with and then took him out of the equation. It’s giving no purpose but to be random. Even in an ot3 it would be dumb, but let me hold off on that because that’s for a different ship opinion. They never interact in canon, but I think they’d be chill with each other since they have a mutual friend. But they wouldn’t be anything more than acquaintances. 2/10

Akuhigu/ Ryuunosuke Akutagawa x Ichiyo Higuchi: As much as one member of this ship ships it, I will never be able to ship it. It’s not healthy. #higuchideservesbetter Maybe in a canon divergent scenario… but even then I don’t think they’d work. I don’t believe in the “total opposites attract” theory. I hope Asagiri doesn’t decide to do that thing some writers do, where they seemingly get tired of their work and at the end, just go “this character likes this other character, even though it was always one-sided, let’s make it happen and they get together at the very end in the ‘epilogue’ that shows where they are a few years later”. 0/10

Akukyou/ Ryuunosuke Akutagawa x Kyouka Izumi: The only reason I know this ship exists is because when I first watched BSD I was scrolling through someone’s account and she mentioned a year back (2019) she shipped this years before (2016) and then questioned her past self’s sanity. The people who ship this are 14-year-old girls who like Akutagawa and are using Kyouka as a self insert. -2.5/10

Akulucy/ Ryuunosuke Akutagawa x Lucy Maud Montgomery: I’m also surprised this is a thing. I saw some fanart of these two in a romantic context a few years ago because the Japanese VAs for the characters married each other, but I haven’t heard of this as a legitimate ship. But I have seen more ot3 art with Atsushi. Now that I think about it… these two aren’t half bad as a ship, as random as it may seem. I’m looking some stuff up of them, and I think they have enough similarities and differences that they could work. But Lucy does have a crush on Atsushi. It’s a good thing BSD ain’t a romance anime otherwise this could turn love-triangley real fast. 5/10

Amasawa/ Tatsuhiko Shibusawa x Agatha Christie: I’m also surprised this is a ship. But maybe it’s not that unusual since they’re both characters from Dead Apple. Still really random though. There’s not any basis for it. Also, wouldn’t this be called Agasawa? 1/10

Angomura/ Ango Sakaguchi x Mizuki Tsujimura: This is probably less random if one has read the Another Story light novel, at least that’s what I’m assuming. I have not read it and so I do not know anything about Tsujimura that was not in Dead Apple (so nothing). I don’t feel qualified enough to rank this because of that. -/10

Atsuhigu/ Atsushi Nakajima x Ichiyo Higuchi: This ship reads like it was created by someone who does not ship Akuhigu but thinks it’s going to be canon, but they don’t like Akutagawa while they do like Atsushi, so they went “I want Atsushi to steal his girl!” If that’s not the case, I don’t know how this was created. They met once and Higuchi insulted Atsushi’s looks 💀 Personality wise I think they’d get along. I don’t see it romantically though. 2.5/10

Atsugin/ Atsushi Nakajima x Gin Akutagawa: This ship makes me teehee evilly. “I ship Atsushi x Akutagawa!” “Atsushi and Akutagawa are going to end up together!” Alright well, be careful what you wish for 😈 If there’s a bit of build up later on and it’s not out of the blue, I would LOVE to see Asagiri go “aight, bet” and make them end up together at the very end of the series. I would bathe in the tears of SSKK shippers as I laugh. Despite all that, I don’t exactly ship this. It would be kinda funny in universe too. But I don’t think they’d work. We don’t know enough about Gin though, so I can’t say I like or dislike this until we get to see her a little more. 3/10

Me watching everyone else if there ends up being some build up to the ship and it becomes canon

Atsukyou/ Atsushi Nakajima x Kyouka Izumi: The way this ship gets completely overlooked makes me not fw y’all even more. The age gap is big AT THE MOMENT. Four years won’t be a lot in just a few years. If you want a ship to be endgame, you want them together for life, and if you live to be 80 years old, for the majority of your life a four year age gap is nothing. Stop thinking of the present and look to the future! Plan ahead! Kyouka does not view Atsushi as a brother she has a crush on him her feelings are literally paralleled to Lucy’s! WAKE UP PEOPLE. Even if you don’t ship them when they’re a little older ADMIT THE TRUTH. THERE’S AN ENTIRE SPREAD DEDICATED TO THEM LOOKING AT EACH OTHER’S EYES WHEN THEY FIRST MEET. The anime adapted it so that everything was blacked out in the background and cherry blossoms were floating through the air! That’s totally what happens when future adoptive siblings meet 🙄Totally. Totally. AAAAHHHHHH. Anyways, they’ll be great together and this is really the only ship I have in this series and because I don’t want them with each other until they’re older it’s not even a current ship but a future ship. 10/10

Atsulucy/ Atsushi Nakajima x Lucy Maud Montgomery: They’re cute together but they wouldn’t work long term. I don’t know how to explain it. If someone else does feel free to add. I do like seeing some (some) of the content people make for this. But at the end of the day, it’s just not it. I don’t know what it is that, even seeing how they’re cute and could work short term, I still don’t have feelings for this ship. My heart is not in it. Maybe it’s because I don’t like the tsundere trope, even if it makes sense in Lucy’s case since she was mad at him for forgetting her after she saved him. 4/10

Atsuteru/ Atsushi Nakajima x Teruko Okura: Why is Atsushi getting all the ladies, what’s happening here? I didn’t know about half of these ships. Do people actually ship this? Probably not anymore after finding out she’s literally twelve 💀Hey, for the majority of your life a six year— oh that’s right, twelve years is her life’s majority. Oh well, better luck next time to anyone who shipped this. Although why you would based off what their limited interactions were 🤷🏽‍♀️ -1/10 EDIT: I saw that there was a translation error that made it seem like she was 12 years old but actually she was 12 when Fukuchi found her, which we don’t know the exact date because it said after the War, and the timeline is a little messy. But I do assume she’s an adult now, even if we don’t know how many years ago she was 12. (Asagiri please bring back the character info sheets 🙏🏽)

Atsuwells/ Atsushi Nakajima x Herbert George Wells: Her name is NOT Herbert George… is it? Herberta Georgia? Asagiri we need answers. Also I imagined her as being 28, but we don’t have a canon age. Maybe as a future ship this could work? If only we knew more of her character. I can’t say one way or the other about this, but I hope Wells shows up again. 2.5/10

The War

Abbi worked as a traveling nurse for the war between Fae’s and Humans at a very young age because of her Unique Magic. The soldiers weren’t grateful for her magic, however. They all saw her as getting in the way. They harassed her and berated her about her powers. She also had to constantly heal humans who the Fae had captured and were torturing, she didn’t like it. scaramouche 😭 i’m so sorry. i loveee his lore and in concept he’s a cool character but Those fans ruined him for me. usually i defend characters i like w my last breath no matter what their fan base is like but i couldn’t do it w him

for fics, GEN CHARACTER STUDIES !!!! i am SICK and TIRED of ROMANCE and RELATIONSHIPS (<- even platonic tbh when it becomes too focused on it. like… i like it better when it’s just a bunch of rambling about their thought processes. i do like it when other characters are brought in to help get further insight into them (or when it’s the focus of the fic, like with characters that are built heavily around each other in canon), but i prefer to read something poetic that’ll gut me (it doesn’t even need a plot tbh, i just like feeling like i’m Looking Into Their Brains) over a recap of something they did together. since i’m not really a shipper so a fic like that wouldn’t bring anything new to the table, i have canon for that. don’t get me wrong, i don’t dislike those types of fics, i just prefer the former.)

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: DAMN. either yosano’s backstory arc, the sky casino arc, or the guild arc. i also love the episode when the café master was taken and the agency went apeshit lol. and lucy’s introduction ep was fantastic too! WAIT ALSO in untold origins, you are but a child is one of my fav bsd lines EVER and the entire scene was so great 🫶🫶

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: i love the ADA found family, and the symbolism in bsd is also SO good. especially in the endings! wait yes i also love the op and eds a lot (i have s1 ending on loop genuinely) and the way character dynamics are explored is so captivating. my fav dynamics are definitely ranpo and yosano, sskk, tachihara and the hd/pm, and ranpo and fukuzawa. ignoring bsd’s questionable plot i genuinely do love it a lot hahaa

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: i love that this show is so kind to its characters. it understands that they’re all just teens trying to figure things out. with mitsumi’s hesitance over love (esp in comparison to fumi), mika’s jealousy, shima being so guarded etc. ut defines maybe you weren’t unlovable maybe you were just 15. also the FRIENDSHIPS!! they’re all so heartfelt and full of love i feel all fluffy thinking about it 💛💛
