hello! i'm gira, i go by she/her, and i've been making fanart for the cod fandom for about four months now :) the majority of that time's been spent on the soapbox saga, which is sort of just what i call the very plot-ridden porn comic featuring ghost, soap and konig. and recently i've been working on the monster 141 au!

i'm here to address the reasoning behind how i assigned certain monsters to certain characters, particularly the POC characters as well as accusations of racism regarding me neglecting gaz in all my art :) whoever you are, if you're reading this in good faith, i thank you! i earnestly never intended to make anyone feel uncomfortable from my work.

The Monster AU

i won't post the blog who brought this issue up mainly because, (realistically speaking) i think people might go after them and spam them with hate so I'm paraphrasing here. but basically..."how come all the POC in the Monster AU are assigned animal-associated monsters? Comparisons to animals can be incredibly demeaning when it comes to minorities".

I completely agree! But earnestly, I think my desire to assign every character a 'monster' that was relevant to their culture overshadowed the part of my brain that would've raised red flags about this sort of thing. There's the argument here that I could've assigned these characters cooler monsters such as Price who is a dragon, and Ghost who is a wraith, but I wanted to be respectful of all the minorities in the COD cast by giving them creatures that reflected their culture and personality.

ALEJANDRO - NAGUAL

In the Monster AU, Alejandro is a nagual, which is considered a guardian spirit in Mesoamerican culture. Typically, it's said that the nagual is the shapeshifted form that powerful men can transform into in order to do evil (although that doesn't apply in this case, Ale's a heroic lad), and can come in the forms of a jaguar, deer, dog or bird. I chose a jaguar, since it seemed to be the most common form of nagual depiction in the resources I was looking at. The 'panther mode' isn't pre-established as part of nagual mythology, but since most panthers are just black jaguars, i thought the association wouldn't be unreasonable.

I chose Alejandro to be a nagual because it's so in character for him to be protective of his home. The idea of him being a literal guardian spirit for all he considers his just made sense to me :)

RODOLFO (RUDY) - CADEJOS

In this AU, Rudy is the vessel for two cadejos, which are legendary dog spirits popular in the mythology of Central America, parts of South America and Mexico. Historically, they've been known as psychopomps (guides to help humans into the afterlife following their death) but modern interpretation has shifted to depict them as the good guardian dog and the evil attacking dog respectively.

A lot of the minute information about the cadejos tends to differ depending on the source. Like whether they're actually two separate dogs, or they're the same dog just in different 'modes', or how big they are. My personal depiction of them has them sized as normal dogs (although their spirit nature means they can move into small spaces pretty easily by just becoming immaterial temporarily) and as separate spirits that have been passed down through Rudy's family generationally.

I chose the cadejo for Rudy because although I wanted to include him in the Monster AU, i still liked keeping him as a character who was a bit more 'human' than Alejandro. I think Ale needs Rudy to hold him back sometimes, and having the two cadejo definitely helps with that. Sort of like how cheetahs in zoos have therapy dogs growing up because they're so anxious all the time! I think it also does a good job of showing Rudy's two sides as well, like he's a softie who just wants to protect those he loves, but he's capable of a lot of violence too.

VALERIA - GORGON

Valeria is a gorgon which, admittedly, is not part of Mexican mythology. However, I was put in a bit of a bind here, since my research didn't really reveal to me a monster in Mexican culture that I thought would suit Valeria's vibe (manipulative, elulsive) and I just felt like a gorgon would be perfect for her. Medusa's myth has her being continuously demeaned by the men in her life and is a symbol of female empowerment, which I thought was a great reflection of the implied reason that Valeria left the army was due to internal sexism. There's also the perfect parallel of how anyone who sees El Sin Nombre's face dies, and Medusa's whole 'turn you to stone' thing.

I thought i could compromise by making Valeria a gorgon but her hair would be Mexican black kingsnakes but...turns out they're actually not that dangerous. Some people even keep them as pets! So I decided to keep the visual, but make her a pit viper, a subfamily of vipers found in the Americas as well as Eurasia.

HORANGI - HAETAE

Horangi is a haetae (해태) which is a beast in Korean mythology that typically comes in the form of a horned lion or dog. It's prevalent in a lot of cultures in East Asia actually, although it goes under different names depending on the region - kaichi for Japan, xiezhi for China. I made Horangi a tiger variant on the creature because...well...'horangi' means 'tiger' in korean. It just made sense to me to put that little twist on it.

Typically, haetae are seen as spirits of judgement, that decide on innocent and guilty parties in disputes and punish the latter. It's also considered a guardian against fire (hence the fire immunity and cloud manipulation powers I gave him).

GAZ - HARPY

Gaz is a harpy which, I won't lie, was purely inspired by the fact that he seems to keep falling out of helicopters. But it's also because...yeah, I did neglect Gaz in the soapbox saga. But I think I neglected...everyone in the soapbox saga who weren't directly involved in the main ship. I sort of just tunnel visioned on the main three, so my exclusion of characters isn't just limited to Gaz, it was included Price, Laswell, Alejandro, Rudy, Graves etc.

I just want to make clear that my treatment of Gaz in particular isn't reflective of any inner preference against him. And to make good on that, me assigning Gaz wings of all things was to help me spend more time on him in the Monster AU! I think the contrast between Gaz being an upstart harpy, and Price being a one-winged dragon has a lot of potential as a mentor/protege relationship (and perhaps even something more) and it's why I assigned this monster to him. I really wanted to establish a connection upfront, but just making Gaz another dragon felt cheap - the harpy thing felt a little more in turn with his character :)

I really hope this cleared up any remaining frustrations with my designs for the Monster AU. I hope you can see that I never meant anything demeaning by assigning these monsters to their respective characters - in fact, I earnestly tried to go out of my way and be respectful to their backgrounds.

so in that fandom confessions post, of how people that like sansa and elia tend to depict lyanna and arya as wild and ugly when it's a canon fact that both of them were considered pretty.

there's a stansa claiming that they have never seen any elia or sansa stan do this. and i remember that old saying that goes "no hay peor ciego que el que no quiere ver" (sorry for not putting a translation, but i think that i'm pretty done with posting altogether, and i really hate this time of the year, so i couldn't care less right now)

so i went through their blog to see what content they reblog, and i find it so interesting how this is one of the tags they wrote.

i can only talk for myself, as someone who doesn't like sansa that much (i really appreciate that later on in the books we don't see her judging other girls or women for being sexually active; look at her go! she's growing and learning to be more accepting; i'm a little bit impressed)... actually i think it has come a time in my life where i really pity the girl for the fandom that she has; they don't like her canon personality, and they only use her as a vessel to project themselves into a "pretty, young, and naive maid" archetype in a fantasy setting.

but i want arya and sansa to reunite; actually, i even see them sharing a desperate hug because they need to confirm that the other one is real by touching them.

where the problem lies for me is people trying to erase the fact that arya and sansa don't have a good relationship. and meanwhile, i agree that arya loves her sister, because (i can't stress enough this next part) family is one of the most important things for arya. i can't say the same thing about sansa, for this girl, the most important thing is herself, and she doesn't like arya, simply as that, because her little sister dares to rebel and not conform to what is expected of her because she was born a girl. 

sansa can't connect to arya at all because she doesn't understand her; and instead of coming to terms with this fact, sansa wishes that arya was different and then later on when sansa thinks that arya is already dead, she thinks that

"arya had been entirely unsatisfactory as sisters went" (copy it up and google it, if you don't believe me, this is actually a book quote coming from sansa's pov)

let's add to the fact that sansa is one of the stark's golden children. sansa is praised all the time around by pretty much everyone. don't you think that sansa seeing this and seeing arya be reprimanded at the same time couldn't translate into sansa being entitled and holding the belief that she's always in the right and arya is a disgrace to all of her family?

they can bring that part, in which sansa prays for all of her family (arya included) all they want, but as someone who grew up catholic, when i was a little girl, i used to pray for people who i almost never interacted with, like my neighbors, and even the ones that i didn't like, because i was taught that was the way to be "a proper little girl under the eyes of god", so as a person with that past experience behind me, i'm simply not convinced of this act being significant enough.

i have major problems with sansa dreaming about having a daughter that looks just like arya too, because i can't get out of my head the thought of if this were to actually happen and sansa has a girl that looks like the girl's aunt, every time that child misbehaves or fails any of her duties... i can see sansa resenting arya even more, because sansa would blame arya for her daughter being this way.

i do really want them to reunite (hopefully this reunion is one of the last ones to happen because i want arya to be around people that had always loved her, you know, like jon and bran and even rickon) but sansa has not matured enough to be able to recognize that she hurt her little sister badly, and i'm pretty sure she could (and would) hurt her again easily, because she had so little growth as a person. so what it comes down to is that i don't trust sansa to be around arya.

and i'm so scared of the possibility of arya forgiving her sister way too easily because sansa hasn't shown almost any remorse for the things she said to arya. and let me be clear: in any way, shape, or form, arya never did anything to deserve to be treated this way. arya always deserved better from her older sister. and arya doesn't owe sansa any kind of forgiveness just because "they're the sun and the moon."

This is a bunch of lighthearted haterism! Well... "Lighthearted" as in it's just a bunch of quippy bitching, not "lighthearted" in its subject matter. Same shit as always!

It's weird, because there really is a lot that isn't said about the Main Cast - a lot of which is really interesting - but... People would rather die than put serious, grounded thoughts into these characters, it feels. Especially if the topic is even vaguely uncomfortable. So, you get some nonsense on how there should have been menstruation in Homestuck, or that Eridan was never intended to die, instead of putting any serious analytical thought on Dave's abuse, or Jake's relationship with gender.

In some places, they're even worse. Not because anything has changed, but because some issues have been made more visible by the change of landscape on Tumblr.

Like, people have way more points of entry to be Transmisogynistic, for example. The Homestuck fandom has always been Transmisogynistic, of course - March Eridan... Certainly exists - but now we've got more people talking about Roxy, about Dave, about Jake, about Calliope, about June... And while the level of Transmisogyny hasn't really changed, per se, it's hard to deny that it isn't more commonplace, in a way, purely because the amount of discussions surrounding Transfemininity has increased.

CroTuna fans need to pick a fucking struggle that isn't that lame ass hill they've chosen to die on. Can you do something else, instead? Can you think liking Bluey is praxis or something? Literally anything is better, because literally anything else is funnier.

I'm not really super into AraSol or anything, but how can you be down to clown with CroTuna and not fuck with AraSol. Do you just want to crank your meat to abuse? What? Lmao.

No one's normal about Personality Disorders. Cluster B Disorders especially get the shit end of the stick. It's unsurprising that the Homestuck fandom isn't normal about Personality Disorders when literally no one else is, for some reason.

It's just crazy watching people try to have you take them seriously and not look at them like they're fucking insane when they talk about their analysis that Cronus has NPD because he's terrible and abuses people. Like, what are you saying? Do you hear the words coming out of your mouth?

Dave generally keeps all of his most intimate relationships pretty private, it's why it's kinda hard to keep up with his love life in canon. He grew up under the lens of countless cameras for the pleasure of prying adult eyes. Voyeurism is a huge part of his story, as it is a strong aspect of the abuse he faced growing up. Particularly, said Voyeurism was a key part of the sexual abuse he was subject to.

The fandom's handling of DaveKat feels like Voyeurism because so much of the fandom is dedicated to showing them in intimate scenarios that just feel... Wrong to see. Like, you just know for a fact if this was happening in the comic, we wouldn't be seeing it. Some even have whole blogs dedicated to those kinds of private moments they'd have behind closed doors. The fandom eats it up and calls for seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths - with a nigh fetishistic fervor. Sometimes, it's really hard to not feel like they're in Bro's sleazy live chats, asking to see more of the cute young one.

Even PostCanon frames the rabid consumption of DaveKat content as Voyeuristic. It's not a difficult or out of pocket read, I don't think.

I think the secrecy of it all is fitting, personally. The hints we did get of the dynamic certainly don't sound very pleasant, though, much to the fandom's chagrin. On screen Kurloz & Mituna interaction would likely just be more Mituna Abuse Simulator.

And, no, I don't think she would be able to do that.

The issue is that Cannibalism is largely something used not as an expression of Control Issues, but as an expression of Consumption.

Consumption is a really interesting theme to me in fiction. It can mean a lot of things and be shown in a lot of different ways - possessive love, caves, abuse, codependency, capitalism, so on and so forth - but... It's just... Honestly completely nonexistent in Dirk and Jake's relationship. That's why it feels forced to me. I just genuinely don't know where people are picking up the theme of Consumption, especially hard enough to start talking about Cannibalism as a natural extension of it.

3. There are two fics I've read in which Aziraphale said "Be not afraid" to Crowley before giving him grace. I think they both had Crowley ask for Aziraphale to perform a grace on him, but I'm not certain. I know they both included sex or an orgasm or an equivalent physical sensation as a result of the grace. One of them is called "you're not a religious person (but)" by isozyme. I CAN'T FIND THE OTHER ONE. I think there were seven different phases, or steps, of grace in the one I can't find. 4. Hi folks! I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago (although I'm not sure when it was actually written), set just after the world doesn't end. Aziraphale and Crowley go to the Ritz to celebrate, then as they're leaving, Crowley collapses. They go back to the bookshop so he can rest. He mentions he's fallen over five times recently, and while he's asleep Aziraphale tries to make a numbered list of the five times, but can't think of the last one so he just puts '5. ?' (It's when the bookshop burned down). I can't remember the rating, but it definitely wasn't E, and there was no smut or anything. I can't remember the exact length either, but it was definitely over 1000 words, probably over 2000. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance! Also I would just like to say how much I love this blog - I've got several good recommendations from it and it's so well organised! - @crowleys-yucca-plant

He would sing harmonies until his vocal chords gave up if it meant Aziraphale lived. He gets no answer, gets angry and spat "You're not going to do anything? I thought you were on the side of-" He stops himself and then God asks him "on the side of what?" Crowley goes "You know what." "I want you to say it." "On the side of love." WHAT'S NEXT:

The out pouring of love for this blog has swept me off my feet. I knew the logic behind the follower count, but this weekend proved to me without a shadow of a doubt just how much this fandom cherishes these characters and this story.

I am overwhelmed with adoration towards every. single. one. of you.

I took the weekend to finally recoup after the whirlwind of this past year but wanted to take a moment now to answer some of the questions I've seen pop up and to inform you all of what my plans are for what's next.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WILL YOU CONTINUE THE ACCOUNT THIS YEAR?

This took me a long time to ponder and I wanted to make sure I was in the correct headspace to answer it. Short answer: No.

Long answer: All For The Game is near and dear to my heart. And the reason I began this account was because the dates for 2023 matched that of the dates they were meant to be in 2006. To continue it in the year 2024 would mean the dates would be completely wrong and a lot more logistics would have to occur beforehand.

But also-- I'm not the best when it comes to technology, especially when it comes to BOTS so every post that was published was typed out, formatted and scheduled by hand by me. I did not have help. I did not have proofreaders, or editors, or managers. I contacted all the artists myself, sorted through every single page of the artists to find matches to the story, read and re-read the books for exact or guesstimation of dates/times, and made a hell of a lot of typos on the way through all that.

There was probably an easier way that I could have done all this. But I didn't/don't know it. So that all boils down to: It’s a long and tiring process.

Don't get me wrong, it was worth all the hours. And all the sleepless nights I had getting everything done and out. I already thanked my support network, but without my wife and my best friend being there to make me another cup of coffee, walk our dog, do the chores and generally make sure I didn't crumble from the pressure -- none of this would have happened.

So, putting myself through that again, after everything that has happened this year alone-- felt like it would cheapen the experience I had when the dates won't even match.

That being said.... 2034 isn't that far away. >__>

WILL YOU BE DOING AN OTDITSC?

Short answer: No.... sorry.

Long answer: As stated, it is VERY hard to organize what and how I did. HOURS spent researching, organizing, scheduling, etc. Time spent away from my family and other hobbies. NOT time I regret (need to keep prefacing that) but time I want back now. At least for a little bit.

It also doesn't sit right for me to start an OTDITSC when I know some people are still waiting for their copies. There are so many of us out here (as I've come to find out) and I don't want to exclude people's enjoyment and connection that this account gives. I also feel like the more posts about TSC out there, the harder it is for those who are (lets say) waiting for the physical copies to block/mute spoilers. We can say a tag is enough, but this is the internet. And that's not always true.

And lastly, personally, TSC is still SO VERY NEW. It's not even complete yet and we don't 100% know when the next one will be published. I don't want to start something, get to the end of the timeline, and than have a huge gap between posts that will potentially be moments in the second book. It doesn't feel fair to their story, to myself, or to the followers of this account to have incorrect information for something I love so dearly. If I'm doing it. I want to do it right.

SO, WHAT'S NEXT?

Well. A lot. For me personally, as well as this account. I don't want to leave everyone in such a finite way. I love this fandom. I love its art and writings and the abundance of talent and joy that it exudes.

So first, for myself, as well as those artists who agreed to help with this account, I want to post, for the next 40 days Artist Highlights (that means this account will still be active until Friday, June 7th).

Every day, I will post about an Artist and the work that I wanted to post but couldn't fit in. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, these artists are the reason this account thrives. Art, in a multitude of forms, speaks in a way words can not. And these artists prove that.

I'm excited to show them off for a couple more weeks at least. They are all wonderful people.

AND, FINALLY:

To also tie us over, I am opening both my personal account as well as this account to questions.

Questions regarding the process, the story, the best movie out in theaters, whatever. I will be answering your questions (as fast as I can) until that last Artists Highlight day (Friday, June 7th). So, you, an elriel, I presume, admit that what Elain and Azriel were about to do was indeed wrong? That Elain pursuing another guy while still having the bond with Lucien is not right? Elain who is not technically, but canonically, undeniably, irrefutably Lucien's mate. So you admit that what was about to happen in the first part of the chapter would have been wrong? That if Elain was so in love with Azriel and dying to be with him as Elriels believe she should at least say it to Lucien's face and reject him instead of staying ever in silence because no, a mating bond is not something that you can just ignore away? That there are not just political ramifications to consider but also how Lucien, who has been a literal darling all the time and described by several other characters as a good male, doesn't fucking deserve to be treated this way?

First of all, thank you for sending this ask. This is the first time I've gotten a passive-aggressive fandom related ask like this, so this is low-key a tumblr milestone for me. So thank you for that.

I assume the screenshot included is someone's response to an ask they received in regards to this post since the wording is somewhat similar, but I can't actually find the blog you screenshot so idk what's up with that.

Now, onto the actual ask. The screenshot says "Did Azriel think anything about touching Elain feeling like touching the Mother herself? Lol, no." I believe this is referring to this sentence in my post "Touching Elain is the closest this man has come to meeting the Mother herself."

I did not mean to imply, in any way, shape, or form, that Azriel wants to get down and dirty with the Mother and is using Elain as a conduit for that kink. I simply meant to say that touching Elain was a very monumental experience for him. In the back of my head I was thinking about how he was literally questioning the Cauldron ("What if the cauldron was wrong?") which is a large part of the "religion" in Prythian, therefore anything that made him question it is undoubtedly a big deal for him. I see now that this wasn't very clear in the original post, so thank you for allowing me this opportunity to clarify my thought process.

Now, if I may, I will reply to the paragraph you went to the effort of actually typing out. Yes, I ship Elriel, you presume correctly. Do I think Elain and Azriel almost kissing is wrong? No, I'm afraid not.

This seems to be a follow-up to "The situation is wrong because Elain is technically mated to another guy who is literally sleeping upstairs." in my post. Is Elain wanting to kiss the man who has been nothing but kind and caring and gentlemanly since she's known him wrong? No I believe not.

Despite her canonically, undeniably, irrefutably being Lucien's mate, she actually does not owe him anything at all, least of all an explanation, because she did not make him any promises. She never went up to Lucien and said "I wanna explore this thing between us" and then go behind his back. If that were the case, yes it would be wrong. But alas, it is not.

I don't have it in me to go pull out the actual quote, but Rhys said in ACOWAR I believe that a female being a male's mate does not equal to her being accountable to him for every breath she takes. Elain is well within her right to not want to do anything at all with Lucien, as demonstrated by her being more than willing to kiss someone else in the same house.

Okay, if this isn't wrong, then why on earth did I say that it is? Easy. Because while Elain and Azriel are not doing anything wrong, their actions will be perceived as such by others and will have consequences far beyond the two of them.

On the topic of sweet darling Lucien, I wouldn't go as far to say he is one of my favorite characters, but I certainly don't hate him and would like to see him get a happy ending. However, he hasn't really done much for Elain to say he actually cares about her or wants a life-long relationship with her. His inner monologue consists of thinking Elain was "thrown" at him and he chooses to spend his days living with another woman on the other side of the world. Doesn't seem to me like either of them want jack and shit to do with each other.

p.s. Just because someone is a "good male" doesn't entitle them to anyone's time and affections, especially someone who has shown no interest in them and even seem to avoid them.

To make this clear, Old Mayhem and me NEVER attacked one another.

There's no animosity going on between me and her. Although in the same 'fandom', our blogs exist separately and don't overlap. This doesn't mean hatred. This simply means a different public. The effort that me and her seems to put in the content that we create is massive, so as I said before, I will say I again, be a decent person and don't spread misinformation about what my dynamic between me and her is like. Also, don't spread hateful messages in anyone's inbox about how 'shit their art is' or 'how dare you not like this blog??' Now, I want to address the real issue who's name I didn't mention until now, Kelma 69, the one blog who's proud description is 'Getting rid of weird Mayhem fans, mostly from Pelle's fans'.

I don't even have to add anything about this description, her malicious 'witch hunt' intentions are more than obvious and the fact that I seem to be her number one target is sending a shiver down my spine.

I don't have an issue with people who block me and move on with their lives, this is normal, it's expected. But I have an issue with someone who blocks me and keeps endlessly talking about me with every chance they've got, so I want to ask her why?

I never interacted with her before, yet she comes across so vicious about my art and fiction for seemingly no reason other than envy.

Of cause that you're entitled to your own opinion, of course that you don't have to like me, this is absolutely alright, but you should assume your words instead of hiding behind blogs that had been here long before you or 'adjusting' your statements to how it seems more convenient for you.

Calling my art 'crap', than saying 'I'm not insulting the artist' is blatantly lying with proofs on her own page.

Also, the fact that she was both following me and my other artist friends, liking our 'Vargelle' fanarts until someone brought this to her attention and she suddenly blocked me and my friends is a 'getting caught' behaviour. I can understand that she may had liked those fanarts because of Pelle's design, as she mentioned at one point, but some of those drawings didn't even had Pelle's face in it, so how does this work? She also liked fanarts of Varg (alone) even if she hates Varg more than anything, so was this for his 'design' too? Is it?

Also, her parasitic tendency to accociate herself with Old Mayhem to seem relevant, to gain attention and admiration denote very evident deceiving and manipulating tactics.

Another aspect of her double-faced behaviour is the fact that she presents herself as 'shy' when she has no problem whatsoever getting rid of what might step out of her appreciation area. Shyness doesn't come with blunt insults and a covert need for conflict and drama. Shy people doesn't seek reactions, they don't go out to hate on people to boost up their ego and shy people DON'T throw the 'you just play the victim' card whenever they can't find solid arguments against their accusation.

Is calling out someone's falsehood the equivalent of 'playing' the victim? Is this the way to wash your hands clean from taking responsibility?

The fact that you won't allow a conversation to take place and once you consider that 'you're done playing your game' you pull out, just shows how unwilling you are to recognise what you've done.

I hope everyone can leave behind this senseless drama. I'm so sick and tired talking like a broken record about these things.

How would Cosmo react if his s/o randomly started to mess/braid his hair out of a habit (let's say s/o has anxiety and doing Cosmos hair helped them calm down)

Oh my god, this has been sitting in my inbox for almost 2 years! I'm so sorry to the anon who requested this!

A/N: I know it's been a while since I've been back on this blog. I've been busy with college and my personal life that I had to stop writing here to focus more on them. Unfortunately, because of that, I've sorta lost that hype I had for Kengan that I had back a few years. I still love the series but I have other interests I want to write more for. I'm thinking about making a multi-fandom x reader blog to do my other works on because this blog kinda just became a Kengan-only blog and I think it's better to keep it that way. I'll still post some headcanons and stories on here every now and then. But for now, Kengan will take a backseat when it comes to my focus because I want to post other headcanons and writings for other fandoms. Thank you all for the support you have given me by enjoying what I write!

I honestly believe Cosmo would be thrown off by s/o when they start braiding his hair or messing with it.

But because he is such a sunshine boy, he wouldn't mind it after the third time and probably encourages them to continue what they are doing with his hair.

Since Cosmo started growing out his hair more, his s/o started to braid it more often because it is high-key looks better on him than his bowl haircut.

Cosmo honestly likes it when his s/o braids his hair because when he does it, the braid is a little messy and some of his hair starts to poke out so he ends up having to do it again later.

When his s/o tells him one of the reasons why they started braiding his hair, he is not bothered by it at all. In fact, he is okay with it if it means it helps calms his s/o's nerves.

Imagine it: Cosmo sitting in the dojo doing some stretches before he starts his training for the day. His s/o is on the side of the mats fidgeting with their hands. This doesn't go unnoticed by him and motions s/o to come over. S/o's face lights up and comes over behind him and starts braiding his hair. Once they are done, Cosmo says thank you and either gives them a hug or even a kiss on the cheek if that's okay. Then he's off to train while s/o is sitting on the mat feeling all warm, fuzzy, and giggly.

High-key asks his s/o to braid his hair because s/o does it better and faster.

Depending on s/o, Cosmo will have hair accessories in his braided hair. S/o might add a ribbon or tinsel added to it, maybe some beads if they want to and Cosmo is not complaining. He probably vibing with his hair because s/o just made it better.

When Cosmo cuts his long hair when he started entering into more serious tournaments, let me just say that s/o was absolutely devastated when they saw him go back to his original haircut. S/o obviously understands that long hair can put him at a disadvantage in his fights. But they can't help but miss it because it looked so good on Cosmo then his previous haircut.

Since he cut his hair short again, his s/o obviously can't braid it but instead they ruffle and play with his hair to fill the void that is the loss of braiding Cosmo's hair.

S/o gives nice head massages and would do this to Cosmo before his matches to clear his mind and after so he can relax and calm himself down.

Cosmo doesn't mind his hair being ruffled, he just plays along with s/o. But Cosmo likes it when s/o slicks his hair back to have that classic look he gets when he does it during a fight.

Ngl, Cosmo's slick back hair look he does in Ashura is hella cute and handsome. My handsome boy.

But either way, Cosmo just lets s/o do whatever they want with his hair since it gives s/o peace and calms their nerves. He's just happy to know that he can help out s/o in any way that he can.

But don't worry, he'll most likely grow his hair back out again after there are fewer major tournaments going on so his s/o can go back and do his hair again.

Let love and whimsy into your heart brother, it's OK. Literary analysis is fun. Some things are not direct text, sometimes you have to dig into it and that's part of the fun. It's really fun actually. And it can still 100% respect the original text and not be baseless. You Don't have to agree with every interpretation. Certainly, you wouldn't assume someone "hates" a character they've shown consistent obsession and love for right? Right?

This is a silly shounen manga. It's a book club we're all a gay ass book club here. A gay ass book club about a Saturday morning action comic book aimed at teens and young adults. I can guarantee you my takes, even if misguided sometimes, come from a place of love and passion of the text and its analysis, and it's OK if it looks a bit absurd to you. Sometimes I exaggerate in my excitement when I'm trying to make a point because I'm just rambling late at night on my personal small blog or whatever, and then I think my meta over and come to slightly different or more nuanced conlcusions etc. It's a progress of constant dissection. But such strong language to what I have to say, to the point of wild assumptions and misinterpretation of my points is.... a strange reaction to have. I always thoughts America is best paired with France than England but the fandom is so pushy for the grumpy plus sunshine pair that they completely forget how great other pairings are. It would be great to see England's reactions at the double crossing of his two loved getting together and breaking his heart

Okay Anon, I understand this is your innermost thoughts. However, this is a Dover blog. Mentioning other couples is not a good idea. I will not tag this post.

I remember saying that Himaruya has a thing for love triangles. Fanservice is a good money-making tool, and love triangles are a way to keep readers interested in the story. My friend once told me that for this fandom, the main character isn't Italy, but England. She was right. Fangirls put all their wishes of being loved by many people into England. Exploiting this issue "England's harem" is a very good way to make more money.

One of the things that makes me quite confused with England's fans is that this character's fans always turn their bias into a victim and demand the whole world to pity their bias while I don't see this character as a victim at all. Whoever provokes him will get an elbow in the mouth, I can't understand the victim mentality of this character's fandom. Because of that victim mentality, any character around their bias is the perpetrator who abused their bias. Some of the subjects for this thinking are Scotland, America and France.

When it comes to Scotland, America or France, I've always felt like the fandom has a pretty distorted view of them. Their perspective is distorted even when based on official. I feel like they don't really care about characteristics of Scotland, America or France, what they care about is how many love interests England will have. If you break it down, Scotland represents the patriarchal father who denies them, France represents the handsome guy who they want to love them unconditionally, America represents the guy who rejects their feelings. You know, the typical trope where the girl with father issue falls in love with a bad guy, if that bad guy falls in love with her back then she'll marry him, and if that bad guy dumps her then she can rest easy knowing that there's a male character behind her who's willing to love her despite her past (and even though America isn't a bad guy, fangirls still force him to be a bad guy because their taste is bad guys). These are the three typical male protagonists in romance novels. And their England, is actually a teenager girl who has never grown up with a lot of family issues, low self-esteem and a desire for recognition. They turn their England into a first generation romance novel heroine who is ambiguous with many people and they don't even realize that they've turned their bias into an asshole in every way and still think that their ambiguous bias is an innocent victim.

When I think of the headcanon of Scotland and America, Scotland is Aroace and America is just an innocent child with an upright soul. No more love triangles.

Even in an AU where England and America aren't biological father and son, and England "loves" America like fangirls want (I'm really skeptical about the concept of "love" from an adult towards a child they raised), I still believe that America never had any dark thoughts towards the people he considered family even when he was groomed by adults. I believe in his integrity and love for justice.

In an AU where France has a one-sided love for England just like the fangirls wanted, I think a love country like France will move on soon. His self-esteem is not so low that he would suffer the humiliation of fighting for a lover with someone else (and this person is also someone he is close to, considers him as his younger brother/son), nor would he ever wait for someone else to give him love.

So, to answer your question: even if France and America get into a love triangle with England (like England's fangirls want), they'll both get out quickly. The Vietnamese have a saying "Tham thì thâm", which means if you are greedy and want to have everything, you will lose everything.

And, let me repeat: France does not beg for anyone's love, England is not a victim, America deserves independence. America did not "betray".

As a Max fan, I am embarrassed about what other Max fans have been saying.

It's okay if you don't like someone, but you don't need to hate them for that. If you don't agree, don't jump in and just turn around.

Max, Lando, Charles, Lance and all the other drivers, don't need to be put on a pedestal.

You can praise them, and should praise them when they've done well but don't praise someone while putting the other down.

It's so easy to say something vile behind a screen without anyone knowing how you look like. It's not brave, it's ridiculous and downright not okay.

Naturally, there will always be people that don't think and just do whatever because they're safe typing on their phones.

Max fans, Lando fans. Im happy to have met both that are just kind people who don't immediately turn around when things don't go their way.

Sadly, I have also met some rotten apples that think they're the president of a fandom when it comes to both fans.

If you send hate to a driver on their Instagram, you're not cool, you're not brave, and you're not human. If you send hate to someone who is feeling joy because their driver won, or sending hate because someone is sad, likewise.

That you're angry about something, that's natural, and you can talk to someone through private messages or just on your blog without tagging that driver. It's not like you have to crack a code to do that.

I wish we all could do better. And we all should do better.

I'm so proud of Max, yet I can't fully enjoy it because some fans think it's okay to send vile things to the other driver or to their fans.

Max is such a kind person, he has grown so much and hasn't been speaking ill about a driver and always praises them when he can and defends them from journalists/reporters. And all these haters are ruining that image.

I kinda dropped out of ZZZ (Cuz I'm too stupid to figure out how it works), so I'm really sorry if anything is inaccurate or mischaracterized. I'm also pretty behind on HSR cuz the damn Aventurine boss mopped the floor with me even after the nerf.

I'll start with Anton cuz he's one of the characters I wanted to get when I first downloaded the game.

Anton would probably dress up as Santa or an elf. Nothing else. He'd spend the day before Christmas baking all sorts of goodies, but if anyone dared to touch 'em before Christmas day and their name wasn't Santa, he'd be yapping up a storm at them.

He'd probably get everyone he knows a gift. If he couldn't find a good gift to give, he'd be distraught. He wants all his friends to know he cares about them, so he puts great amounts of thought and effort behind each gift, the wrapping paper used for the gifts, and which little name tag on the presents they get.

He's probably a chaotic good person, just like Aventurine. But slightly meaner. This might be the "water the character down into the one popular part of their personality!" in me that many fandoms have drilled into my head, but I think he'd do some morally grey shit for funsies and act surprised when people get mad.

Bro would smack an ice cream cone out of some little kid's hands and cackle when they start crying, but act like it wasn't his fault when someone yells at him for it.

Besides the mischaracterization, he seems like a deeply lonely and insecure person. If not that, then a man with a superiority complex since we see him eating all alone at a table that's made for many people.

So, when he encounters MC, there's a chance he'll soften up OR he'll be one of those "I'm not doing this because I care about you, I'm doing this for my own gain!" characters since Hoyoverse seems to enjoy doing that with rude characters instead of keeping them the way they are. Cough cough, Scaramouche/Wanderer.

Hello everyone. I'm the creator of the Campfire Confession ship. I'm of the belief that we are free to have whatever headcanons we want, and to play with the ships that we like. I made this ship because I wanted to explore what Karen was doing whilst Holy Bastard was happening. The creator of that ship, @tapestryoftrauma, is a friend of mine, and I was excited to play around in this sandbox I was welcome in. There's a long standing fandom tradition of the phrase "Ship and Let Ship". I've seen it in other communities, and I stand by it. We are all playing with a fictional world and its characters. To have fun exploring dynamics, to make wondrous things out of fics, art, edits, podfics, and other transformative works. Alongside that phrase, I welcome any and all headcanons. It's fun to see how we see the same characters in such different ways. I feel immensely lucky that I get to be here with all of you, sharing, collaborating, and just having fun. With these two ideas, comes the matter of respect. I always favored the idea of curating my own experience. This extends from offline to online, and being able to have that control over a small piece of my life is something I cherish. I like being able to follow those whose ideas I find intriguing, and I'm not afraid to ignore those who I don't agree with. It's nothing personal, just me using my preferences. There's nothing wrong with having differing opinions, if no one is getting hurt. I take issue with those who go out of their way to attack others. I take issue with those who put their opinions in a place where they can cause harm. I'm no stranger to negativity, and I remember when fandoms would use "anti [insert thing here]" or " [insert thing here] critical" tags to denote posting about something negative, or about something they just didn't like. I prefer the useage of those tags because one can easily follow or block those tags. It's very clean organization. But to post something like that onto a public blog, or to put something into the main tag of that particular thing, feels disrespectful to those who enjoy it. I find it rude and insensitive, particularly because I am a person who keeps my negative opinions behind closed doors, where only my friends and I can see. I understand that this is a confessions blog, but that gives you far more attention than you may want. That is bound to have people react very loudly, sometimes in a way you didn't intend. I'm not upset that you may not agree with my headcanons, or my ship. I'm glad that we have differences, because it would make for a boring fandom otherwise. I am upset that it may not have been considered that I would see this, and be hurt by it. Hatchetfield is not the biggest fandom, and a ship like Campfire Confession has an incredibly small fanbase. There's only 14 fics of it on AO3, and the majority are written by around three or four people. Femslash within fandom as a whole is historically ignored, in favor of Slash (m/m) or het ships. There's nothing wrong with having a preference for those over femslash, but to come out and attack an incredibly small ship, feels as if one is punching down. I know that the Hatchetfield fandom recently had HFFF, an event that celebrated femslash. I know this because I ran that event with my friends. We ran that event because we noticed a lack of femslash within the fandom, and we wanted to make a difference. I do not come before you to attack, or demean. I come here because I do not want any more fighting. I don't want what is something of my creation to be tainted with negativity. I became more active within fandom to have fun, not to fight. Please stop fighting. I'm not mad with anyone. I'm certainly upset. All I ask is that you tag your negative opinions so I can block the tag. I don't want to see that. Please stop fighting.

And maybe you're referring to others posts that haven't been tagged correctly but I assume you're talking about me, so just to be clear: I did not main tag that post. I used the the tag "campfire confessions neg" and have said that for negative posts about characters or ships I use the tag "[name] neg"

If you or anyone believes there's better ways for me tag negative posts please let me know, but since a lot of this was about tagging things I just wanted to clear things up that I didn't main tag that, although I'm still sorry you saw it, I can definitely understand seeing someone say that about the ship you created would be upsetting
