Incidentally, I believe this is also why he likes constructs.
These are objects, fueled by a magic core, with runes inscribed all over it to make it to things.
Often it's just to make things easier ! Automate a process ! One could imagine incredible advancements with the use of constructs - yes, yes, a basic construct will always be something simple, like "make a light pop under these specific conditions - and making them is an art itself.
Mobility aids, machines, sculpted objects that move. There's so much you can do.
Mecarevainen, this silly bird, would get so aggravated at people insisting that you have to learn runes by heart to be a good wizard, because that's the exact opposite of why he did that.
He made them as a tool to not have to recall complicated dances and movements, for his aging father who no longer had the mobility to do many of those, and who was losing the possibility of remembering dances that went on for too long. It was meant to be a written version of movements, one that you can have on hand, look at, and use to channel your will through without jumping through hoops.
It wasn't perfect. But it was an aid that you look at/trace/copy/don't have to recall at all times, because it's on you. Your runes don't even have to be your neighbor's runes, because you conceptualize magic differently. Of course you conceptualize it differently.
He would be so so annoyed that nowadays, many wizards take on apprentices depending on their ability to arbitrarily remember a thousand different runes, because it wasn't the point.

⋆ 。⋆୨୧˚— I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE.
𝜗𝜚 ༘⋆ ⋆˙pairing. husband! park sunghoon x fem! reader synopsis. you and sunghoon swore to be faithful to each other, unfortunately sunghoon couldn’t keep that promise. genre. angst ,, wc. 2012. 𝐥u𝐧a notes ⋆.˚ guys…how r we liking the layout 🤭.. 🫧 — 𝓵𝗂𝖻𝗋𝖺𝗋𝔂. | part 2
if you enjoyed reading ,, pls like and reblog !! ‹𝟹 it helps out a lot ¡!
the past year had been a painful rollercoaster of emotions, each high point you’ve had has been followed by a devastating low. you remembered the countless amount of nights you waited for sunghoon, watching the clock tick away the hours as he stayed out late, you had gotten so used to the sound.
the scent of his cologne lingering on his clothes when he finally came home, the way his tie was undone, the way he avoided your gaze when you asked where he'd been. your accusations of him being unfaithful were met with immediate denials, his words cutting deep even as he tried to reassure you that you were his one and only love.
"i would never cheat on you, y/n" he'd say, pulling you into his arms.
"you're my everything." he would say with that look in his eyes, with both love and a conflict he is fighting deep within himself.
and you believed him, of course you would. he’s the same boy who courted you for six months in university because he was so deeply in love with you, the same man who flew you both to hawaii and gave you the most magical proposal ever to be done.
you tried to hold onto the love and trust that had once been so strong, so unshakeable. but each forgotten date, each broken promise chipped away at your trust, leaving you feeling hollow and alone.
today, on the morning of your anniversary, you awoke with a sense of something different, hope for you and sunghoon.
this would be the day you reminded sunghoon of the love you still had for him, and always will. the love that had brought you together in the first place.
you spent hours in the kitchen, preparing his favorite dishes, your hands moving with practiced ease as you cooked. the smell of his favourite kimchi stew and freshly made kimbap filled the air, the same cooking he said he would never ever get tired of.
the scents mingling with the hope that maybe, just maybe, this would be the gesture that rekindled sunghoon’s love for you, you missed his touch, his kisses, the sparkle in his eyes, he still has it- but nowadays all he could really do is look down.
as you wrapped a red bow around the lunchbox, you grinned, perfect.
you drove to his office, each mile a reminder of the distance that had grown between you. as you walked through the lobby, your heart pounded with a mix of anticipation, fear, and longing.
the elevator ride seemed to take forever, the seconds stretching out as you rehearsed what you would say, how you would greet him, how you would kiss him.
but nothing in the world could have prepared you for the sight that met you when you opened the door to his office. sunghoon, your husband, the man you had vowed to love and cherish, for better or for worse, was locked in an embrace with his secretary, their lips moving together in a kiss that was all too passionate, all too real.
the box slipped from your hands, the sound of shattering glass, some pieces piercing your legs barely registering as you stood frozen in place.
you felt like you had been stabbed in the heart, you had never felt heartbreak before, and you didn’t understand people when they said everything hurt, now you did.
"y/n," sunghoon's voice broke through the fog of your shock, his eyes wide with panic as his hands trembled.
the hand with your wedding ring trembling.
"this isn't what it looks like honey,”
your chest tightened at the name, the name he couldn’t be bothered to address you as in months.
tears blurred your vision as you shook your head. the pain was unbearable, a physical ache that made it hard to breathe. without a word, you turned and fled, the sound of sunghoon calling your name fading as you ran. the drive home was a blur, sobbing as you got concerned looks from other cars, you were not in any shape to be driving, really.
but you didn’t care- your mind was reeling with the betrayal you had just witnessed.
at home, the same home you and sunghoon bought a month after your marriage- the home with six bedrooms because that was how many kids sunghoon wanted to have with you, the same home where you and sunghoon had late night talks, wrapped in each others embrace.
you moved through the house like a ghost, avoiding staring at the picture frame at the end of the hall, a picture taken on your wedding day.
your hands mechanically packing your belongings. each item you placed in your suitcase felt like another piece of your heart being chipped away.
you were almost finished when you heard the front door slam open, sunghoon's frantic footsteps echoing through the house.
“y/n-“
he cut himself off at the sight before him- the suitcase being packed, the sight of the wardrobe being oddly empty because your clothes would always be overflowing it.
"y/n, no.. please," he begged, sobbing as he fell to his knees before you. "don't leave me. i can't live without you, i won’t do it ever again."
you looked down at him, your heart aching with a mix of love and complete despair.
even after what he did to you, all you wanted to do was to be held by him again, all you wanted all these months was for him to finally long for you like you longed for him- how unfortunate the circumstances were, you thought.
his tears fell down his glass cheeks, his hands trembling as he reached out to you, you shivered at his touch, it felt so foreign, unfamiliar.
"i made a mistake," he cried, his voice raw with emotion. "i love you more than anything in this whole world. please, give me another chance- i’ll make you the happiest girl in the world, we’ll have six kids and we’ll grow old together!”
your mind wavered for a moment, the memories of your life together flashing through your mind. the happiest memories of your life with sunghoon in them, but you knew that staying would only be betraying yourself, that the trust between you had been shattered much beyond repair.
leaning down, you pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, it wasn’t for him, it was for yourself. the taste of his tears mingling with your own.
"goodbye, hoon," you whispered, your voice breaking. "i hope you find the happiness you couldn't find with me."
with a final look at the man who had once been your everything, you turned and walked out the door, the sound of your suitcase trailing behind you as you tried to keep your composure at the hysterical sobbing from sunghoon behind you.
the drive to your best friend heeseung's house was filled with the sound of your sobs and screaming, each mile taking you further from the life you had known.
when he opened the door, heeseung’s heart dropped. his eyes filled with concern at the sight of you. he pulled you into his arms without a word.
"it's okay, y/n," he murmured, his voice a soothing whisper to your wounded heart. "i'm here for you, im not leaving."
you clung to him, your tears soaking his shirt as you let out all the pain and heartache that had been building inside you. heeseung's presence was a comforting anchor in the storm of your emotions, his embrace a reminder that you were not alone.
as the night wore on, you found solace in the company of your best friend, knowing that you had made the right choice, even though it had shattered your heart into delicate pieces, pieces you didn’t know could be fixed.
in heeseung's arms, you allowed yourself to grieve the loss of the love you had once believed in, the loss of your best friend, and lover. the betrayal, the heartbreak, all of it poured out in waves of tears and hushed sobs.
heeseung listened to you without interruption, his presence feeling like a heavy blanket over you and the world, comfort as you navigated the gut wrenching feeling in your heart.
"it's not your fault, love" he said softly, brushing a strand of hair from your tear-streaked face.
"you did everything you could." he said looking at you with a gaze in which you didn’t notice, you never did. the gaze you’d given sunghoon for years, the gaze he gave you long before you’d even met sunghoon.
"but it wasn't enough, hee" you replied, your tears rolling down your cheeks, voice raspy from all the sobbing, it was barely above a whisper.
"i wasn't enough."
heeseung shook his head, his expression filled with an ache in his heart and anger at your self doubt. "no, y/n. you are enough. you always have been. sunghoon's mistakes don't define your worth, he’s the dumbest man to ever live, i’d do anything to have you."
you turned to him, bewildered at his words. you looked down at his shaking hands as you sobbed wrapping your arms around him.
“i’m so sorry, hee. i’m selfish, you don’t deserve this- you should tell me to leave-“
he cut you off with a hard hug, you cried harder as his own tears soaked your bare neck.
“don’t say that- i don’t care if i get hurt, or you use me, i don’t. all i need is you beside me, okay? don’t worry about anything.”
his words, though comforting, couldn't fully erase the pain that lingered in your heart. but in that moment, surrounded by the warmth of your best friend's embrace, the love that radiates off of his body.
you felt a glimmer of hope, you were in no shape of moving on just yet, the road ahead would be difficult, filled with moments of utter pain and sorrow, but you knew that you wouldn't have to face it alone.
as the orange sunset began to filter through the windows, you found yourself at a break from the pain in your heart, staring out at the view in peace. heeseung's steady breathing beside you, the quiet hum of the world settling down, it all felt like a promise that everything would be okay.
you took a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill your lungs, and allowed yourself to believe that maybe, you would find happiness again.
with heeseung by your side, you faced the days ahead with strength. the pain of sunghoon's betrayal would always be a part of you forever, but it wouldn't define you. in the embrace of heeseung and the promise of a new beginning, you found the courage to move forward, one step at a time.

Yandere Husband x Depressed Reader
Request are open.
You were so happy at the starting of summer. As a teacher you were happily spending your summer break relaxing in your house with your husband yan. No students, no lectures, no annoying colleagues. Just you, your house, the summers and your loving husband. The perfect summer.
But soon your perfect relaxing summer turned into a nightmare. Why?
Because your grandma died. What's the big deal? Every old person die someday.
But it is a huge deal to you. Because you were greatly attached with your grandma. You spent all your childhood and teenage days with her. She babysit you while your parents worked.
Most of your memories consisted of her. You and your grandma cooking, baking, gossiping, watching shows, going on walks. She was a cool chill grandma who supported you with everything.
She was your grandma, mother, friend, everything. And now she is gone. She passed away due to old age.
You were planning to spend this summer break with her as every other. But now nothing.
The person who has been there with you since you were born is no more. This broke your heart. You loved your grandma a lot.
The funeral happened, people gave their condolences, everything just flew while you were filled with grief, sadness.
What once you envisioned as a perfect summer was now nothing but a ugly reality.
Nowadays you just cry, stare at spaces, and lie in your bed while recalling all your memories with her. You wished you should have spent more time with her.
Seeing you like this broke your husband's heart. He knew how attached you were to your grandma. He just can't sit around and watch you filled with sadness. So now he has taken upon him to cheer you up.
• This man has been cooking your favourite dishes.
• Making sure your favourite icecream and snacks are stocked.
• Trying his best to make you laugh or smile by his humour.
• Bringing you flowers.
• Forcing you to go out with him on walks, picnics, dates.
"Y/n you can't just rot in the house all day. Look how beautiful the day is. Let's go out"
• Binge watching with you cheesy rom coms even though he hates them.
• Playing board games or uno with you.
• Calling over your friends to spend time with you and cheer you up when he is away at work.
• This man tries his best to be their for you.
• Constantly tells you that "I am there for you" " You can vent to me all you want".
• Takes you in his arms while you are crying and tries his best to console you.
• Listens to everything you are saying while crying.
• Reads everything on how to support your spouse when their grandparent pass away. And follows the instructions.
• Brings your favourite deserts.
• Makes sure you take your meals. As you have been neglecting them recently.
• "You know she is always there with you. Watching over you. She loves you a lot. She won't want you to cry over her like this. " Yan would say things like this to make you feel better.
Days went by and you felt better as yan, your friends and parents cheered you up. You were so grateful for having them in your life. Especially Yan. He took care of you at your lowest like a baby.
You were on a walk with yan or more specifically yan dragged you out with him out for a walk while saying "Let's get some fresh air. Being all day in house is not so good."
While walking hand in hand with yan you felt overwhelmed with thinking how much he helped, listened, pampered, supported you while you were in grief.
"Thank you for everything. " You said to him while feeling so lucky to have him in your life as your husband.
"Through Better and worse" Yan said making you remember your wedding vows making you smile.
Suddenly You remember your grandma words which she said to you at your wedding about yan.
"He is so badly in love with you. I am so happy you found such a good person for yourself."
Guess, she was absolutely right.

a snow wedding | young!corioulanus x fem!reader
a/n: you'll never guess who officiates their wedding lmao
word count: 1.8k (i could have gone on for like 10k honestly weddings are so fun to writ)
content warnings: ooc!coriolanus, coryo is nicer in my fics than the book/movie (more of the coriolanus at the start of the movie tbh), some hinting at bedroom festivites
You know,” you looked in the mirror at your maid of honor. “I always thought you and Coryo would be the two at the end of the aisle reciting vows.”
Clemensia choked on her mimosa, laughter bubbling over the glass. “The way he’s always looked at you? Absolutely no doubt in my mind you two would end up together.” She replied, setting the flute over and walking over to you.
You peered over at the pristine white gown hanging up, still just as beautiful as when you picked it out two months ago.
Coriolanus had proposed almost a year ago, wanting nothing more than to finally call you Mrs. Snow. “It would make me the happiest man in the Capitol, the country.”
You nodded furiously, watching as he slid the exquisite gold band adorned with a halo of small diamonds around a larger stone. It was a lavish ring, one you assumed he had ruminated over after securing a permanent position in the Citadel alongside Dr. Gaul.
A knock on the door broke up the conversation between the two women, Tigris popping her head into the makeshift bridal suite. “Just checking to see if you need anything before I go down to meet Grandma’am.”
“Tigris, this gown is to die for!” Clemensia praised the tailor, whose cheeks flushed like she had spent weeks in the sun.
“It’s just something I threw together.”
“Oh, don’t be modest, Tigris. It’s one of the most beautiful designs I’ve seen some out of your studio.” You smiled, pulling Tigris into the room more. “But I do have one thing you might have to help me with.”
“What might that be?”
You gestured to the gown, spinning to look at the two most important women in your life. “Can you ladies help me get into this dress? The corset looks like a game Coryo would make up in the Games.”
Clemensia laughed, and Tigris clapped enthusiastically, setting her purse on the pristine couch in the corner.
-----
Coriolanus messed with the cuff links he had purchased for the day exclusively, looking at the small photograph of his mother he kept in his wallet. It was new for him, carrying a wallet around.
He had only a few things in there, his Citadel ID card, a few hundred dollars—pocket change for him nowadays—and the crumbled notebook paper he had written his vows on one day in the lab while Dr. Gaul met with President Ravenstill and Dean Highbottom.
They were messy, lines crossed out and words in the margins, and Coriolanus was fairly certain his sweaty palm had rubbed a few lines into illegible scribbles. He wouldn’t need them, though, he’s stared at this paper for weeks, the words engrained into his mind for the rest of his days.
He looked up when he heard a knock on his door, his best man stepping into the room.
“You just about ready?” Festus asked, looking around at the mostly bare room. “I think your grandmother is about ready to charge into the bridal suite and wed the two of you.”
If asked who he would think would be his best man at his wedding, Coriolanus Snow would never have said Festus Creed, but after the 10th Hunger Games and his short Peacekeeping stint, the two grew close, something akin to friendship.
“It was Grandma’am’s idea to have an evening ceremony.” Coriolanus muttered mostly to himself, but he tucked his wallet and vows back into his pocket, nodding at the curly-haired man.
“I am ready.”
-----
Delicately rubbing your sweaty palm on your dress, you peered through the small opening between two columns, trying to get a peek at your soon-to-be husband.
“Oh, you’ll see him soon enough!” Lysistrata Vickers smiled at you, bringing you into a hug.
You, Clemensia, and Lysistrata had all grown closer after your mentorship in the Games, going so far as to become friends and spend weekend trips in Districts One and Two on occasion.
“I haven’t seen him all weekend, Lyssie! He wouldn’t even tell me what color his suit is. All I know is that it complements his eyes, and I got that from Tigris!”
Clemensia and Lysistrata shared a knowing look, having seen Coriolanus’ tuxedo as they wished him a good morning in passing.
“He looks exquisite, I hope that makeup is waterproof because I know you’ll be a puddle as soon as you see him!”
Your grin nearly split your face in two, preparing to seal your fate as a Snow.
Clemensia took your hand and gave it a squeeze, stepping up to walk down the aisle with you since neither of your parents were able to.
Lysistrata marched down the split of chairs first, grinning ear-to-ear as she met up with her own husband, Festus downright devouring her with his eyes.
You took a deep breath as you turned around the corner, eyes dancing from one side of the room to the other.
You and Coriolanus wanted to have a smaller audience in person, with a majority of the Capitol and Districts tuning into the wedding live on TV.
Dr. Gaul, who you and Coriolanus had asked to officiate the wedding, had a positively radiant smile on her face, a rarity for the woman. But how could she not, her two star pupils were getting married today.
You finally locked eyes with your fiancé, you Coriolanus, your Coryo. Most would take the look on his face for a smirk, but you knew the man you were about to marry, you knew he was holding back a million-watt smile.
Before you knew it, you were at the end of the aisle, Clemensia squeezing your hand and taking the bouquet of red and white roses, giving you the chance to smooth the skirt of your gown.
“Hi.” You whispered, cheeks beginning to ache from your smile.
Coriolanus chuckled softly, taking both of your hands in his own, giving them a squeeze. “Hi, gorgeous.”
Dr. Gaul, who was perhaps the only one close enough to hear the small greetings, looked at you both to make sure it was okay for her to begin.
“Today, we are here to celebrate the union of two of Panem’s most important people, two people who I have gotten to know throughout their time at the Academy, University, and mentorship.”
The ceremony was shorter than some other weddings you had been to, with you and Coriolanus wanting to share vows in private, not wanting the nation to listen in, wanting to keep some things between the two of you.
Before you knew it, Dr. Gaul was announcing you two as the Snows, the crowd erupting into cheers as you and Coriolanus shared your first kiss as a married couple.
-----
With the ceremony over, you and Coriolanus had a short period of time before the reception, taking place in one of the grandest ballrooms in the Capitol. There would be more people at the reception than there were at the ceremony, with Coriolanus getting ready to run for election in the coming months, so you knew you had to be on your best behavior and help pull the votes in for your husband.
“What’re you thinking about, wife?” Coriolanus asked, lovesick smile on his face as he referred to you as his wife for the first time.
“Hmm?” You asked, shaking your head like an Etch-a-Sketch. “Nothing, just how lucky I am that you’re my husband.”
“Oh? I thought I was the lucky one.” Coriolanus replied, leaning in to kiss you in the back of the luxury car, which was taking you to the reception hall.
You couldn’t help the blush that tinted your cheeks. “Coryo,” you murmured, slipping off the bright red heels you had picked out to wear to the reception, Coriolanus grinning up at you from between your legs as you had brought the idea up one night a few weeks ago.
“How does it feel, to be a Snow?” Coriolanus asked, knowing glint in his eyes.
“Feels like I’m worth a million bucks.”
Coriolanus laughed, fixing his bowtie as the car pulled up to the entrance, groaning when he saw Lucky Flickerman and his parade of cameras.
You knew better than to say anything to the weatherman-turned-host, leaving it all up to Coriolanus, who greeted the cameras with a stiff smile and a “it feels wonderful, something I’ve always dreamt of” when asked how it felt being married.
Entering the reception, you and Coriolanus were greeted with cheers, clapping, and a few wolf whistles.
You two did first rounds greeting the more important people in the room, people you two had known since you were both children.
Tigris squealed so loud you and Coriolanus both winced at the pitch, but laughed as she clapped and hugged you two. “Officially part of the family! I’ve always wanted a sister!”
“Tigris, we aren’t even siblings.” Coriolanus chuckled, hand around your waist and thumb rubbing back and forth soothingly.
You lightly slapped the man’s chest. “Oh, hush. She’s been a sister to me since we first started dating.”
Tigris took your hand, admiring the new addition to your left ring finger. Next to the engagement ring now sat a white gold wedding band, matching the one that now adorned Coriolanus’ left hand.
You promised to have a girl’s night with Tigris as Coriolanus dragged you away, knowing you two would be talking all night if he didn’t break up the conversation while there was a lull.
The two of you ended up in front of Casca Highbottom, who was unusually well-groomed, beard tame and hair gelled. “Well, I guess you can thank me for this.”
“Pardon?” You asked, feeling Coriolanus tense at the elder’s words.
“If it wasn’t for my thinking of the Hunger Games, you two would never have spoken a word to each other.”
Coriolanus did nothing more than give a short smile to the man, thanking him for his wedding gift before you two left him to his morphling and posca.
“Why did you invite him, Coryo?” You asked, finally being able to sit for a moment.
“It would have looked bad to not have my father’s best friend here. The man technically did is the reason we’re where we are now.”
You shrugged, agreeing with Coriolanus. “Come on, I want some cake.”
Coriolanus laughed, following you towards the four-tiered red-velvet cake.
------
Collapsing onto the bed, you sighed contently as you toed off the red heels you had been dancing in all night.
“What do you think, shall we spend our first night married as we did the last night as an unmarried couple?” Coriolanus asked, already shedding his clothing.
“Oh, I like the way you think.” You smiled, sitting up. “But you have to help me undo this corset before anything.”
a/n: maybe some good angst next? what do you think my little snakes my little rainbow fiends

Spy x Family Code: White - Highlights
*This post contains spoilers. Scroll away if you still need to watch the movie. **Reposted because it didn't show in the tags.
Since the movie is out and has been circulating on the internet, I would like to talk one thing or two about it. I'm overjoyed about the release and have watched the movie numerous times. So here are some highlighted scenes, or at least the ones that have become my favorites and lingered in my mind for way too long.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
First off, this scene. It's just a small gesture of Loid because apparently he's worried about Yor's mouth due to the "irritating" lipstick she's wearing.
But tell me, what kind of man would give a woman such a pleasant little gift if he did NOT love her. It's not like, "You're nothing to me. Here's a new lipstick for you!"
Loid is not going to declare "I LOVE YOU" explicitly; the hell is he going to, but we have eyes, and we see. Your small gesture and little gift say everything I need to hear, and I won't take your for the mission excuse anymore, Loid Forger.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I'm fully aware that the "Yor getting jealous" trope is becoming redundant nowadays. Some people say they're overdoing it and no longer find it interesting to talk about. But I beg to differ. I'm still on the Yor's jealousy bandwagon because it's become a crucial element in her and Loid's relationship. Yor does not necessarily have the right to get jealous and upset about the idea that there is someone else in Loid's heart. Heck, I dare say she can't pull out the "wifey" card because we know it's all fake.
But that's not that.
For me, to say that Yor is jealous there might be another woman in Loid's life is an understatement. It's not to say she is being greedy, but she does want Loid, and only him, not just because she's technically his wife—her genuine feelings for him are growing, and we can see that. She does not want to lose him, let alone to be out of the picture. It's Yor being true to herself. It's Yor fighting for her love and affection for Loid.
Extras:
Yor's heart is already shaken at the possibility of Loid cheating. And HE does not help by throwing such flattery and complimentary comments about his wife. This dense man…
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I liked what Anya did in this scene.
Afraid of her family falling apart, she tried everything she could to prevent that, and that is... through her parents' flirting 😏
She's still a little kiddo, but being the telepath that she is, she still wants her family to stay intact. Anya pushing Loid and Yor together to have some kissy-kissy time never gets old, to be honest. I always enjoy it every time she does that. Anya recollecting what Becky said about divorce and the "supposedly" bloodbath also added some comedic sense to the scene.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This has got to be my #1 favorite.
The only physical intimacy in this scene is just Loid putting his hand on top of Yor's. Nothing more. Okay, we may have moved past that episode where LoidTwilight pulled a honeytrap on Yor, AND we can't dismiss the fact that maybe, there's a definite chance that he just used her.
But this time, he is determined to keep Yor around for real. He even restated his granade proposal to stick with each other—basically their wedding vows—and had no intention to break that promise. What's this smell? It's a whiff of peak romance.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This scene made me feel warm and fuzzy.
What came to my mind when I was watching this scene was that although Twilight is the best and most renowned spy there is, he's still lacking some things. One of them is, for sure, parenting, which we saw from the earlier episodes of the series, he picked it up from books.
Yor always plays along with Anya to keep her entertained, and it's also one of her ways of parenting that some people may have dismissed. Yor arguably does better in this field than Twilight from her own experiences, the big chunks of which were from when she raised little Yuri. This should eliminate the questionable discourse of Yor "unfitting" for the mother role.
This scene got extended to when Yor told Loid that it was a family trip, that Anya was looking forward to this trip, and that they all should go together.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This may be the last for now: the Forgers walking hand in hand at the end.
I couldn't imagine the hardships this family went through throughout this movie. (Ok, I know some were absurd, but let's move past them for the sake of this post.) Despite being a fake family, they still came as one and worked hard together to put things back in their place and resolve all the problems. Like... they didn't have to do that; their family is a pretend. But they did. They're complete, and it's so beautiful to see ❤

15 - Vow to the Sky
Part 16
Raised Fair Share of Hell

Keeping my body pressed up against the stone brick wall I kept my eyes closed thinking about what my sister had done to me and the father of my child. We had slept in this cell the whole night and it was the middle of the day and we still haven’t been let out.
Kayce was previously sitting on the ground across the room from me but now he was currently pacing back and forth where his boots would screech across the floor every now and then. Covering my ears with my hands I couldn’t stand the squeaking anymore so I snapped my voice up at him. “Can you please stop squeaking your dang boots across the floor. I can’t take it anymore!”
“Oh I'm sorry , am I annoying you?” He halted in his tracks glaring at me for only a minute then going back to pacing the room.
Glaring at the cowboy before me I didn’t remove my hands from over my ears. “Yes you are.”
“Well I’m sorry but I can’t stand being locked up and not having a way out. I - I feel like- urgh never mind you wouldn’t want to know why I don’t like being in here.”
Slowly raising myself to my feet I got up sending him a snarcky reply. “Is it because you can’t stand the fact that I don’t love you anymore huh?”
“It only has a little bit to do with you.” He responded to me.
Crossing my arms over my chest I tilted my head to the side. “Okay so what’s running through your head?”
“I can’t be locked up in a room with the woman that I love. But she wants nothing to do with me!” Kayce turned on his feet raising his voice at me getting up in front of me where our chests were pressing against one another.
Lifting my head I pushed my nose up against his own, feeling my hot breath mixing with the others. “I have wanted you since the night you asked me to be your girlfriend. I have wanted you even after I got pregnant at 16. I have wanted you during all the years of raising our daughter. I’ve never stopped wanting to be with you, Kayce.”
“Then what the hell were you doing sleeping with one of my fathers ranch hands?” He throws his arms out away from his sides.
Covering my face with my hands I screamed into my palms. “How much longer are you going to keep bringing that up? It happened, Kayce. I had sex with someone else. And in case you keep forgetting you slept with Monica while you were dating me.”
“That was a mistake. I ended up with you. I chose you, Alissa. I’ll always choose you until the day I die.” He declares taking two steps forward getting closer to me. “I don’t know how to fix this, Alissa. I don’t know how to not be with you, not talk with you, not be around you or my daughter. You’re my wife. You’re my best friend.”
Raising my voice I shoved him harshly away from me where his black Cowboy hat fell off of his head. “I don’t believe you. You used to be honest with me but I don’t believe a word you say nowadays.”
“I swear on Lee and my mothers grave!” Kayce suddenly shouted causing me to stumble backwards slightly. Raising a hand to my lips I completely froze in front of him. The last time he said those words was when we got married. He has always kept his wedding vows.
The main door of the Lambert house got opened by my father who was standing on the porch all dressed up in a suit and tie. He didn't have a cowboy hat on like he normally does, but this was a special one time occasion. I stroll out the door wearing a white dress that went down to my knees that had light brown cowgirl boots. “You look absolutely beautiful, Alissa Rae.” He beams a smile seeing that i had my hair loose except for some of it pinned up in a crown.
“Thank you, daddy.” I sent him a smile back.
He extended his arm to me, searching my face for any signs of doubt. “Are you ready to do this?”
“Yes, daddy.” I nodded, looping my arm through his before we began walking down the steps and made our way over to the side gate that butted up with the Dutton's fence.
By the time we reached the fence line I saw my mom and sister standing beside Beth. John, Lee and Jamie were standing by their brother Kayce. Yet Kayce was standing on the side of his fence dressed in a black shirt and tie, his nicest blue jeans and dirty brown boots. “You better take good care of my daughter and grandchild, Dutton. You know I'll come after you if you don't.” My father warned the young boy as he placed my hands in Kayce’s.
“You’re not too snug in that dress are you?” My best friend asked me, eyeing me up and down. I had told him that we would have to do a flash wedding since you would start to see that I was pregnant and my clothes would start to not fit right anymore till I have the baby.
Shaking my head, I squeezed his hands in mine. “I'm fine, Kayce. I just want to marry you already.”
“I want to call you my wife here and now.” He grinned looking over to his oldest brother Lee.
Lee removed his cowboy hat holding it in his hands beginning to perform the ceremony. “You two can begin reading your vows now.”
Tucking some of my hair behind my ears doing my best to not start bawling out in tears. “Kayce John Dutton, we've been in each other's life since we were five years old. I can say for certain that your siblings have always felt like my siblings and I can only assume that yours feel the same way about me and my sister Alana. When we started dating I couldn't imagine being with anybody else but you and I am overjoyed to be calling you my husband from this day forward. You are my other half and I hope I am the same to you.”
“Alissa Rae, I used to get so embarrassed when Beth would tease me saying I was in love with you and I am grateful she saw something in you before I did cause now I'm calling you my wife…uhh sorry.” Kayce moved one hand up to rub his eyes making me almost start crying. “You know me better than I probably know myself and you can say the same thing about me when it comes to you. I swear that I'll love you even more than I do right now. You are my whole world now and forever.”
Kayce slipped my wedding ring on my left ring and I slipped his black band on his finger. “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You're officially a Dutton, Alissa.” Lee declared with a cheeky grin plastered on his face. He scooped me up in his arms, suddenly making me squeal.
“Lee!” Lee sat me down directly in front of my husband but now I was standing on the side of the fence that belonged to the Dutton's.
“Now you get to keep his hat forever.” Beth came up behind me placing Kayce's dusty black cowboy hat on my head making me giggle.
Kayce wrapped his arms around my waist tugging me against his chest kissing me long and slow. “It's been yours along with my heart since we were five years old, Lissa Rae.”
“That’s Lissa Rae Dutton to you.” I drew back from the kiss, correcting his words. He chuckled before I cupped the sides of his face in my hands bringing him in for another kiss.
Blinking tears away from my vision I barely got a word out before Kayce crossed the room and closed the space between us. He crashed his lips down hungrily onto mine, where I gripped his shoulders kissing him back ever so slowly. “Kayce, you’re still my best friend-“
He raised his hands up to cradle my face in his palms. He tilted my chin upward and bent his knees some so I wasn’t standing on my tippy toes to kiss him. Flinging my arms around his neck I drew him in for another kiss and he hoisted me up by my thighs wrapping them around his waist never breaking the kiss. “Alissa-“
“Kayc - I’m sorry.” I muttered in between kisses while he pushed my back against the wall and laced one of his hands into my hair.
He broke the kiss needing to catch his breath as he rested his forehead against mine. “Don’t apologize. I shouldn’t - I shouldn’t have spied on you and Ryan. It - that was my mistake. I’m - I’m sorry, Lissa Rae.”
“Kayce, I was hurt. I tried to move on from you because I thought you’d moved on from me. I thought you - I thought you’d chosen Monica.” I sniffed, pushing back some tears.
Kayce moved his thumb up gently, wiping them away. “Hey, hey, you don’t have to explain yourself to me. I love you no matter what happens.”
We quickly turned our heads in the direction of the outside door opening at the same time as a loud unlocking alarm sounded off. Footsteps entered the room where we saw an officer entering the room coming to our cell door. “You two finally made bail.”
“She paid the money.” I sighed in relief.
The officer nodded, unlocking the cell door. “Yes. She did. I’d suggest not doing something like this again. Tell your sister we can’t lock you two up for a relationship issue.”
“We’ll keep that in mind, deputy. Come on, let’s get home before the kids start to worry about their parents.” Kauce draped his arm over my shoulder where we walked out together holding hands, heading out to his truck once we were given our stuff back.

A Dream Come True
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~1.3k
Warnings: fluff <3
Request by anon: When steve and vixen ever settle down they might have a small wedding with their friends invited , loving vows , steve would have a simple yet beautiful rings for him and vixen, vixen herself would make her wedding dress (40's and 50s inspiration) bucky is the best man as for natasha as the maid of honor . Adorable part they ask tony morgan and pepper if morgan can be the flower girl they allow it , sam walks her down the isle even tearing up " i cant belive you two are tying the knot! ;-;" she smiles at sam "its alrigjt sam^~^ dont be sad”. Oh the reception is both sweet and little rowdy (best mans speach lol bucky remembering how they had good times in the past ) some cracked some laughs, theres tears and one did the protective brother mood "he better not hurt my sister" type to the bride and grooms first dance as a married couple ;-;
Request by anon: If vixen and steve are getting married . Could vixen make her wedding dress inspired by 40s era and 1900s style hair updo . And we guess steve would be in his 40s military suit in the wedding lol both buck and sam are the best men morgan is the flower girl 🥲 hope its not much pressure
Summary: It's your wedding day, a day you never thought would come. You're marrying your best friend, the love of your life. After darkness clouded your entire life, you're finally seeing the sun.

Before you were taken, before you got your world turned upside down, you had a dream. You had a dream that one day you’d be wearing a beautiful white gown that closely resembles the one your mother wore (hers got destroyed in a house fire when you were young), standing in a room with all of your best friends who couldn't be happier for you, marrying the love of your life. You had that dream many times even after you got taken by Hydra. It’s what kept you from going insane in the beginning. When things got tough, you’d close your eyes and imagine your wedding day.
Never did you think it would finally come, and it finally did.
Instead of a room filled with a ton of your friends, it’s Natasha. She died giving herself up for the Soul Stone, but when you and Steve returned the stones, they gave her back in exchange for the stone. You didn’t think that was possible but it was, and you brought her home to everyone.
It’s sad that Tony never knew she made it.
You stand in front of the floor-length mirror and admire the dress you made yourself. You drew inspiration from your mother’s wedding dress. It’s been so long since you’ve seen it but you can recall every detail by memory. It’s not an exact replica but is very similar. Natasha walks up behind you and fixes the dress from the back. It has an open back that clips right behind your neck, and the entire bodice is a flowery lace material. The dress goes all the way down to your feet and is loose and airy, nothing like those puffy dresses people where nowadays.
“You look beautiful,” Natasha smiles.
“Thanks, Nat,” you whisper.
She is your Maid of Honor while Bucky is Steve’s best man. You only have one person because the wedding is so small. Clint offered his farm for you to use which is why it’s so small. The only people in attendance are your closest friends and family--mostly Avengers and their family. There are minimal decorations but it’s very elegant and intimate.
Someone knocks on the door and you two turn to see Sam walk in.
“It’s time.”
“I’ll see you out there.”
Natasha kisses your cheek and leaves the room. When you asked Sam to walk you down the aisle, you could have sworn you saw tears roll down. Your parents are long gone and you wanted the person giving you away to mean something to you. Sam is that person. You and Bcuky are close but by trauma, and Sam was the next best thing.
“Wow, you look beautiful.”
“Thank you, Sam.”
“Are you ready for the rest of your life?”
“Is Steve?” you joke. You put your veil on and smile. “I’m ready.”
Bucky and Natasha go out first followed by Morgan who is your flower girl. Pepper had no problem with letting her little girl be part of your wedding. Toy has been a big part of your life, so having her be the flower girl is like having a part of the wedding. There is a picture of him sitting next to Pepper to symbolize his presence along with everyone else who has died.
Then, you and Sam enter the main ceremony room, and everyone rises. Steve stands at the altar wearing his 40s military uniform that Bucky and Sam stole from one of the museums. It still fits him like a glove. The second he sees you, he immediately gets tears. He never thought he’d get to his day with you. He was positive that a mission would take him out.
Sam reaches the altar and kisses your cheek over the veil before taking a seat in the front. The ceremony doesn’t last very long and you get to your vows quicker than you thought. Both you and Steve have written your own vows, and he lets you go first.
“I don’t know where to start, honestly. Growing up, I had this idea of what I wanted my wedding day to look like. I had the dress picked out, who I wanted my bridesmaids to be, where I wanted the wedding, and what my first song was going to be. Then, I was taken and forced into something I didn’t want to do. I was broken down, beaten, and shaped into what Hydra wanted me to be. I didn’t know I could have the things I wanted. Soon, my mind wasn’t even my own.
“Then, I met you and it was like I could finally see. It’s like I’ve been in this tunnel all my life and seeing you brought me out of it and into the light. I got Hydra out of my head. I gained control of my life. I took back what they stole from me thanks to you. You saved me in more ways than one, and I can’t believe I get to stand up here and marry you.”
“I had a dream of my own. This was before the military where I wanted to marry a nice girl and make a family of my own. Like you, I was unable to. I had a duty to my country and gave it my all. The guy who went into the ice nearly a century ago had goals, and when I came out of it, those goals changed. I just needed to get through the day and face the next. I didn’t know I could have all this until I met you. You say I saved you when it’s you who saved me. I found myself wishing for the things I did in the 40s. Now I get to have them with you by my side. You’re a dream come true, Y/N.”
The rings you two have are simple ones but hold so much meaning. When you two kiss, everyone stands and cheers. The reception is in the same area as the ceremony but everyone makes room for your and Steve’s first dance as a married couple. It’s sensual. It’s intimate. It’s romantic. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted. Everyone else disappears since the only person who matters to you at that moment is Steve.
Afterwards, you go off to be with the girls and Steve goes off to be with his boys. Sam, Thor, and Clint toss back shots just as Bucky clasps a hand on his shoulder.
“Congratulations, man.”
“Thanks.”
“Do I have to have the hurt-her-and-I’ll-hurt-you talk?”
“No,” Steve chuckles.
“You know I’ll do it. I’ll kick your ass if you hurt her.”
“I know, and I’d let you.”
“She’d probably do the ass-kicking if we’re being honest,” Sam interjects with a smile.
“Yeah, she would,” Steve laughs.
One of the wedding games you planned is a game where you and Steve are sitting back-to-back with both shoes in hand. You have one of yours and one of his, and he has the other pair. Bucky has cards that he will read and you have to raise a shoe for the person you think is the most like the card.
“This is a great one to start with. Who wears the pants in the relationship?”
You immediately hold up your shoe while Steve holds up his own. Everyone laughs at the dynamic of your relationship, and Bucky moves on.
“Who is the best chef?” Both you and Steve hold up his shoes. “Who is needier when they’re sick?” Again, both of you hold up Steve’s shoes. “Who is the better driver?” This time, you two put up your shoes. You’ve had more practice. “I don’t know, Y/N, I’ve been in a car with you before.”
“You lived, didn’t you?” you grin at Bucky.
Nothing can ruin this moment. Hydra is gone from your head, Thanos is gone, and you can only go up from here.

I Miss You
I'm in dire need of reading Kali angst, and so I must write it. And what better angst for Kali than during the six months after his and Butcher's wedding where Butcher and Charlie were in hiding?
Context because I know literally all of the context for this is on @jupiter-reimagined's blog: Kali and Butcher (Chester's OC) got married, but at their reception Charlie (also Chester's OC) and his biological father (not to be confused with his adopted father Butcher) got kidnapped by goons of a rival mafia boss. Butcher went after them to save them and in the process, went into hiding with Charlie. This left Kali alone with their daughter (Lakshmi, who is my OC) and their son (Sammy, Chester's OC).
It had been six months since anyone has seen the two.
Word Count: 1,758
Ashok felt so tired and he hadn't wanted to get out of bed this morning. But he hadn't felt like getting out of bed most mornings nowadays and as he was the only parent for his daughter and sometimes for his youngest son, he'd have to suck it up.
Lakshmi and Sammy deserved to have a father who didn't curl up in bed and cry. They deserved to have the love and attention he had promised to give them the moment they came into his life.
"Lakshmi, Sammy! Breakfast is ready!" he called out to the two teens, finishing plating the second plate after having plated the first.
They were having pancakes, as usual, but neither teen complained. Pancakes were the easy breakfast that Ashok could bear to make in the morning.
"Good morning, Baba," Lakshmi greeted him as she got to the table. She sat down, watching as her brother took his plate to his bedroom as he had been doing for six months now.
He was actually going to Charlie's bedroom, but Sammy had needed to be in his big brother's bedroom as a source of comfort, so Ashok hadn't commented on it. They were all trying to deal with Adam and Charlie being absent in their own way.
Ashok gave Lakshmi a small smile, able to do that much. "Good morning, Beta. How was your sleep?" He was pointedly not eating at that time, having only had a smoothie that morning before making the pancakes.
Lakshmi seemed oblivious to her father not eating anything in front of her, digging into her pancakes. "I slept well, had a nice dream of getting up on one of the horses and riding. I think I'm getting better at bonding with my horse," she said, starting to ramble.
"You'll be able to mount your horse and ride her any day now," Ashok replied, washing the pan the pan and bowl he had used to make the pancakes.
For the past six months, Lakshmi had been busying herself from thinking about Adam and Charlie being off the grid by bonding with a horse on the ranch and getting the courage to ride said horse. It was going slowly due to her school and Ashok doing his chores on the ranch while also doing all of the house chores that Adam had done when he was still here.
A pang of nostalgia hit Ashok and he lifted a hand instinctively to rub at his chest where his heart was beating underneath layers of skin.
He missed seeing his husband around the house. He missed hearing Sammy whisper to Charlie as the two hid away in the oldest's room.
He thought back on his and Adam's wedding day often, cherishing the memory of them saying their vows to each other. If he only thought about what happened before the wedding reception, he could pretend the day hadn't been ruined in the end.
He could pretend he had spent the last six months with his husband by his side instead of missing him and not knowing where he was. He didn't know if Adam was alive, he just had to have faith he was.
"Baba?"
Ashok was brought back from his reminiscing, turning his hand to the side to look at his daughter. "Yes, Beta?" he asked, hoping he hadn't missed her saying something important.
"I love you." Lakshmi got up from her chair, coming around the table to where her father was washing dishes. She hugged him from behind, squeezing tight before pulling away. "We're going to be okay."
"I know, Beta. And I love you too." Ashok finished washing the dishes and turned around until he could comfortably kiss his daughter's forehead. He let her be in his presence for a little while longer before he gently nudged her to get moving.
"Go, Akhil is coming to pick you up and Sammy up to go to school. He'll be here soon. Can you make sure Sammy is ready? I have to make some calls that have to be done soon."
Lakshmi nodded her head and went to do what her father had asked, leaving him alone in the kitchen. He needed the moment alone, steeling himself in order to get through the day.
When he heard the kids leave the house and get into Akhil's car, he finally moved and got ready for the day. He wore clothes appropriate for the ranch, leaving the house chores for later.
Once he was ready, he did the phone calls quickly so he could get started on the work outside. It was tiring to listen to the people on the other line, but it had to be done.
After finishing the phone calls and going to the living room, he whistled when he passed the huge black wolf, the whistle making the old wolf perk up. He chuckled when Shadow let out a small whine.
"I know, we're both getting too old for this. But it has to be done, come on." He gestured for the wolf to get up, taking Shadow's collar which was laying on the nearby coffee table.
After Shadow's collar was put on, they both left the house. Ashok didn't bother putting a leash on the wolf, knowing he had trained Shadow to come to him if they ever got separated and that the trick had been tested before in worse conditions than a ranch could ever give.
Work on the ranch was normal as usual, Ashok going to check on the animals they had while Shadow herded all of them where Ashok needed them to go. He put more hay and feed in the designated barn, stable, and chicken coop, making sure all of the animals were fed.
Hours passed by and he was still working on the ranch, in the barn to take care of the horses' hooves. He had a horse's hoof in his hands and it was leaning against his thigh which was lifted up to create a relatively smooth surface to lay the hoof against.
He was so focused in cleaning the hoof that he barely registered Shadow barking and the sound of a car pulling up. It took Shadow barking some more before Ashok realized he was barking.
Ashok murmured a curse in Hindi before finishing his job of cleaning the hoof, making a mental note to finish cleaning the rest of the horse's hooves later before he exited the stall and the stable where the horses were kept in. He made his way to where his house was, since that was where the car stopped.
He didn't recognize the car, but he didn't draw his sidearm that was hidden beneath his jacket in fear of making the potentially hostile stranger(s) act. Instead, he whistled for Shadow to come to his side, knowing that despite the years retired, the wolf was just as battle-ready as he was.
The two people who were in the car stepped out and Ashok had to raise his cowboy hat higher so his partial sight wasn't more impaired than usual while he looked on at them. What he saw shocked him; he saw his husband and his oldest son, both with more scars they had than when they had left, but they were there in front of him.
They were alive and they were home.
Ashok couldn't believe who he was seeing, seeing the two men he had dreamed day and night to see again. The only thing that was truly making him believe he was actually seeing Adam and Charlie was Shadow happily wagging his tail and barking at the two of them.
The wolf couldn't wait anymore and ran towards the two without warning, but he wasn't charging to attack. He stopped in front of them and kept wagging that tail, inciting them to pet him. He had missed them just as much as the humans who lived on the ranch.
Charlie was petting Shadow, but Adam was staring at his husband. He hadn't moved an inch since getting out of the car.
Even from the distance between him and the two, Ashok knew his husband looked nervous. He might not have shown it visibly, but Ashok just knew.
He knew, without his husband saying, that Adam was worried he wouldn't be taken back so easily. If Ashok knew his husband as well as he thought he did, then Adam most likely thought that Ashok had moved on with someone else in the six months they had been apart.
And oh how wrong he was.
"Meri Jaan."
The term of endearment was out of Ashok's mouth before he could stop them. Not that he would, because Adam really was his entire life. It had been a very rough six months for him, but he would've waited as long as he needed to, just to get to this moment.
His legs moved on their own, taking him to the one person he wanted to be with for the rest of his life: his husband. With his long legs, he was in front of Adam soon and with a sob ripping through his throat, he reached up to cradle his husband's face.
Tears blurred his vision, but he didn't dare stop cradling his husband's face to wipe them away. Declarations of how much he missed Adam were flowing out of him, but he didn't know if he was speaking Hindi or English.
All he could really focus on was that Adam was home. Adam was in front of him, finally.
"I love you," he said, his voice breathless from crying. He was faintly aware that he was speaking in English, his husband being able to understand him. "I missed you so much, my husband."
"Are you a dream?"
Adam seemed surprised at the question and he shook his head no, making sure not to pull out of Ashok's embrace. "It's me, doll," he answered in that gravely voice he had gotten from years of smoking.
"I'm home."
The confirmation that Adam was here in front of him took the wind out Ashok and he collapsed in his husband's arms, letting the tears flow freely without care. He was sobbing, but he couldn't stop it, every day of missing his husband catching up with him.
He was vaguely aware of being picked up, his body acting on its own as he pressed closer to Adam's. He was being carried inside, but all he could do was cry.
Cry and be happy that the pain of missing his husband was gone.
This was supposed to end on the cliffhanger of Kali hearing Shadow barking, but hey. We do love a reunion.

The fact that t0mberly is literally “teen love/first lovers” thing and the fans can’t get over it always catch me. How many couples you know from your school that are together until nowadays???
I mean, they literally met each other at 16 years old (in comics, 15) and I really doubt they lost their virginity together. When I was at high school literally 1 couple lasted until today (I mean, I gratuated at 2008) and we had like 150 people at senior high in each senior class, at least 4 couples dated at this time.
Enjoy that t0mberly happened because they wanted to make Tommy likeable and maybe were afraid since he was under Rita’s spell. In original version we all know the green ranger died and since Tommy got all that popularity, he came back to be propped as leader, most powerful ranger, most pure energy and get the most popular girl of the school (let’s not forget he took not only Jason’s leadership as ranger, Jason’s girl, but also his spot as the quarteback even when he never played football before lol).
So, yeah, I’m for Jimberly and Katherommy. Not only because Jason and Kim are my fav rangers of all, but also because Jimberly was hinted all the way in the show until Tommy appears and they changed plans due, first of all, they were afraid kids couldn’t accept the evil green and made him link to Kim, second because salary war with actors and JDF was already a dad with wife and kid that saw his big opportunity to make money by his popularity in a kid’s show and hold AJJ and David Yost with him. ASJ was a baby with 17 years old with a big ego and so many hours to work and much less money to spend, thing that the ASJ himself said. I won’t take sides here because I can understand both sides (ASJ and JDF) in this case, also it is not a post about the actors, who I know that aren’t saints, none of them.
It’s pretty clear the cliché dynamic between leader jocker x popular pretty girl that existed between Jason/Kim and things were meant to be this way because, at first, Tommy won’t last long in the show. And so is truth what I said, that Tommy took all spotlights and, guess what! Dynamic leader jocker x popular pretty girl!
Also for the things the way happened, made much more sense to me Tommy and Kat to marry and have kids than his highschool sweetheart first love he met at 16. Katherommy has a mature dynamic, where Tommy is more responsible and mature, knowing how to deal with things in his team and personal life. One thing more that made TomKat better (in my POV, of course) is the fact Kat doesn’t was always in dangerous screaming for Tommy to save her, even when she was interested in him since the first time they met and she was under a spell + he was dating Kim or after she joined officially the team.
Don’t ever come to me to say Kat is a replace to Kim in Tommy’s heart. Kat was always brave, good and never ever tried to take Tommy from Kim, even when they dated long distance, she was always respectful and polite. Also risked her life UNMORPHED to make spelled!Tommy recover his sense when no one in the Zeo team did the same. THAT IS THE WOMAN SHE IS!
Let’s take Turbo movie again as example! They aren’t in school anymore, Kat is already working as teacher and we see clear as water that all of them are much more mature and trying to live the best they can with the responsabilities they have. Nothing is more clear than Jason going into Kim and Kim running after Jason in any dangerous situation posible + the final winning scene they party together. Same goes to TomKat after the same final winning scene, there’s no a SINGLE moment Tommy look after Kim to party with her or vice-versa. Jimberly it’s a love story that merge from long date friends that fell in love with each other after so many things they have been throught apart and together, conflicts that are better explained in comics and maybe we will see more about in the upcoming novels.
“The Vows” comics, where we se Katherommy’s wedding, also doesn’t show a sad Kimberly looking her ex marrying the woman he dated for years and reconnect for LOVE after so many YEARS apart and together. TomKat broke to go to university and reconnected after because they never forget each other and it’s more than t0mberly ever got (Kim broke up with him by a letter after 1 year apart, if it isn’t clear enough). Things are settle, Jimberly remains as hint and unofficial, but TomKat is more than endgame and no one shipped it more than JDF and Catherine Sutherland themselves.
And NO, I don’t care about ASJ and AJJ’s beef and the fact they don’t like each other. Much less that AJJ ships t0mberly and ASJ ships Jason/Trini, opinions that are based in their close friendship with respective actors. I love the characters and that’s this post about. All respect and kudos to the actors, but I don’t have to agree with all of them.
Also t0mberly fans can enjoy AU! Universe of Olivia Oliver and Jimberly fans can enjoy AU! Universe Power Rangers (2017) and everything is ok, just don’t come at me to say Jimberly came from nowhere. There is a huge background and a beautiful love story if they want to tell in novels, I hope they don’t put more ex actors to involve in anything relationed to MMPR, because Tommy was always the most explored character from OG 6, after JDF’s passing I expect they set his character the way it is, let Tommy age, happily married with his family (Kat and JJ), like JDF himself WANTED and CHOSE. That’s all.

Marumurai
Vaanathi was an odd child , as odd as one could be, after living through the same life for thousands of years. Treading the line between non-interference with fate and active interference was a fine balancing act , and with time came practice , but even with practice Vaanathi found it difficult to disguise her interference as premonitions or signs from the divine in this life time , as she was just five years old.
Her earliest attempt to save Periappa had left him so spooked , that he had escorted her to Pazhaiyarai, wanting to find a solution for her premonitions and soothsaying. Pazhaiyarai was home , but twenty five year old Vaanathi inside her five year old physical self was terrified at the prospect of surviving the palace and its politics , without the twin shields of age and wit, not that she'd been great at survival even otherwise.
At Pazhaiyarai, Vaanathi had always felt less than when compared to other palace women. She was often called Arunmozhi's Idhaya Raani, but that epithet was one of scorn and derision. She was many things in her lifetimes : Kundavai's beloved sister; Vandhiyar's Maaya Kannan and Kodumbalur Kula Vilakku ,but not her beloved's heart and never her beloved's desire . In the beginning , she had blamed her vow for the distance in her marriage but repeated cycles of the same cursed existence had taught her otherwise.
Arunmozhi continued to live in Tanjai , with visits to Pazhaiyarai few and far between. While his initial visits made her hope, his later visits had filled her with anger , dread and misery. "En Idhaya Raani" , he'd say with derision , "Idho , en andhapurathu's raaniyai ungalidam oppadaikkiren. Neengal , dayai koornthu nam vaazhvil ivalai anumadhikka vendum" , and Vaanathi , would be left helpless even as the other woman looked at her empty self from the corner of her eyes with something akin to pity and scorn. With every wife Arunmozhi thus introduced , Vaanathi had died a little inside , until all that was left of her was a living husk filled with anger and sorrow. Try as she might to change the outcome , every life had been more of the same until this one , where she had decided to live her best life , love be damed.
As she peeped from behind her Periappa's legs , familiar yet unfamiliar faces greeted her with differing emotions. There were some new faces too , faces that she'd never seen in Pazhaiyarai , faces that seldom held joy, serenity or content , faces that reminded her of the fate that awaited her if she didn't interfere .
Aditya Anna and Nandini stood by the corner , immersed in themselves , oblivious to the world around them. Vaanathi had stared at them , until Aditya Anna had reached for her , only to lift her up and ask why she was staring at them . "Andha raani migavum azhagaaga irukkiraal " she'd said , only for Anna to respond that Nandini was his Idhaya Raani and his newly wed wife.
The Chakravarathy had laughed then and handed her over to Nandini's care and the only thing that had prevented Vaanathi from screaming bloody murder was her resolve to stay away from Arunmozhi. Even as Nandini took her from Anna's embrace , Vaanathi had wanted to turn away . Every instinct that she possessed warned her away from the Pazhuvur Paambu , but this Nandini seemed different and in her Vaanathi saw a way out of heartbreak and heartache.
The years that followed in Kaanchi were a welcome relief from constant heartache. Vaanathi grew up amongst war and chaos, but it was a very welcome change from those years in Pazhaiyarai. The Vaanathi from Kaanchi was Aditya's beloved princess and Nandini's chella kuzhandai . The childless couple had directed all their love and affection towards the orphaned Kodumbalur princess and Vaanathi had responded in kind , refusing to leave them for the comforts of Pazhaiyarai or even the company of beloved Akka. Nowadays , Akka was also a constant presence at Kaanchi. When she was not governing behind the scenes , Akka loved spending time with Vandhiyar and Vaanathi was overjoyed to have Akka's company without the looming shadows of Arunmozhi's suspicions and disinterest.
The years in Kaanchi had come to an end like all good things did. Arunmozhi was in Eezham when the conspiracy to crown Madhurantaka and imprison the other princes had come to light. Even as they were making plans to march to Tanjai, word had come of Arunmozhi's drowning and with it a sense of dread and fear.
Nandini departed for Kodiyakkarai , seeking intelligence from Thirumalai ; Anna and Malayamaan Thatha marched to Kadambur to foil the plans for a revolt ; and Akka headed to Pazhaiyarai to break the news to Paati and seek her help. With increasing trepidation , Vaanthi watched her loved ones scatter even as she wished for them to stay put and stay alive.
A missive had arrived days later. Arunmozhi had survived and was being treated for an ailment in secret . Anna , Akka and Nandini were on their way to Naagaipattinam but needed someone trustworthy to handle Arunmozhi's care in the interim. Even as her instincts warned her away , Vaanathi made her way to the viharam and submitted herself to the care of the monks and will of the Gods.
As days blended into one another ,she tended to Arunmozhi, comforting him through the periods of delirium where he cried out for his love and repented his callous actions. Even as her heart hurt with those cries, Vaanathi had been thankful. His cries had strengthened her resolve to stay away from him , even as her heart continued to fall for him.
As exhaustion of the body and heart stole upon her , Vaanathi continued to pray. She prayed for deliverance from Kaalachakkaram, she prayed for Arunmozhi to unite with his one true love , She prayed for Anna and Nandini's happiness as well as Akka and Vandhiyar's well being. Vaanathi continued to pray even as Nithra Devi stole upon her. Vaanathi continued to pray even as she slept , beggaring her happiness at the cost of other's delight and then she woke up.
Vaanathi woke up at Arunmozhi's cry , only to be crushed into his embrace seconds later. They hadn't met in this lifetime , yet Arunmozhi looked at her with those familiar eyes and a wide smile . As tears and love choked his throat, Arunmozhi spoke of unending misery through multiple lifecycles . As longing oozed from every single pore of his physical being, Arunmozhi spoke of his unending love. It didn't make things all right though : A few words of love paled in comparison to centuries of regret and Vaanathi remained unmoved even as Arunmozhi wept.
The next day , he'd beseeched her to walk by his left and his blinding smile at her acquiescence had been a balm to some of her wounds from the past. As Anna , Nandini and Akka had watched , Arunmozhi vowed to honor her , cherish her and have her but no other. As Vandhiyar had laughed , Arunmozhi called her the queen of his heart.
As Arunmozhi helped her up the elephant , to the cheers of the crowd, Vaanathi started hoping in her heart. As the elephant moved forward among the crowd , Vaanathi started hoping in her heart - she hoped for trust , she hoped for love and she hoped for a better tomorrow.
Note : I wanted to write a multiverse story featuring Vaanathi for the last couple of days and ended up writing a multiverse story that's a companion of sorts to Mudivilla Kaadhal and Oomai Vizhigal

Pride - 2024: Day 6
Movie: In & Out
Made in: 1997 – Set in: 1997
Starring: Kevin Kline, Joan Cusack, Tom Selleck, Matt Dillon, Debbie Reynolds, Wilford Brimley, Bob Newhart
Rated PG-13 for: Sexual innuendo
A comedy about high school teacher, Howard Brackett, who is outed by a previous student in an acceptance speech at the Oscars. With his job and future wedding to his fiancee of three years on the line, Howard tries to convince everyone, even himself, that he is not gay.
It’s a funny and very obviously 90s movie, having things in it that you wouldn’t see in a movie nowadays but aren’t necessarily bad or horrible. The romance between Howard and Peter isn’t much explored but I liked the two together.
Spoilers under the Keep Reading Line
No one dies and it has a happy ending, implying that Howard and Peter might get together
It’s a fun movie with a very light tone but it also shows how people act different when they hear someone is gay. Though the homophobia is pretty tame compared to some other movies, it’s still disheartening to see the students and vice-principle treat Howard like they do and are relieved when he says he isn’t gay. It would have been nice to see Howard and Peter together more, as I like some of their dialog. And even though it is nice to see Cameron find Emily attractive even when she wasn’t skinny, it’s a tad bit weird that she used to be his teacher and they got together in the end. Especially when she recalled their time together and it almost felt as if she had a crush on him or something. But this was the nineties and things were more acceptable in movies back then. It’s still a good movie and is funny, though might play a bit in the gay stereotypes it also pokes a bit of fun at toxic masculinity when Howard gets a ‘how to be a man’ instruction tape. It also show the hardship of being a gay teacher, as his job is threatened when everyone thinks he’s gay and then he’s fired when it is revealed he is gay. Also, Tom Selleck without a mustache is really weird to me as I’ve only ever seen him with one. It is good to see a movie with a happy ending for pretty much everyone. Like I said, it’s a 90s movie. Just keep that in mind when going in.
Mom’s Thoughts: I’m a big fan of Kevin Kline and Joan Cusack, so this movie was a must see for me. At first the student’s outing of Howard seems like it may be a mistake on his part, as Howard himself is surprised by the news along with the rest of the town. Peter, one of the reporters that descended on the town when the story broke, does his best to make Howard see the truth in the allegations. I think it should be up to the individual to decide whether or not to announce they’re gay, lesbian, or whatever, and when this should happen. Howard tells his fiancee he is not gay and holds to that up to the moment he is about to say his vows. Then he announces to the church, and the whole town, that he is indeed gay. He is fired from his teaching job and his world crumbles before his eyes. On the high school graduation day, the actor/former student who outed Howard shows up and talks to the townspeople (mostly the vice principle who had fired Howard) in an effort to get them to see how wrong firing Howard was. It is an entertaining film, uplifting and filled with good actors and an implied happy ending for Howard and Peter.

Friends and Family
As we near the end of the year, Laira and I decided to meet our groomsmen and bridesmaids for our wedding next year. I certainly missed a lot of my college friends that I got to see only after more than 5 years.
I'm surprised that aside from new relationships that we now have, not a lot has changed. The same Ramon and Evan that I knew still acts and behaves the same. While the time that I had with Evan was a bit short, I'm happy to check on him on how he fares nowadays. As for Ramon, we had the entire day to try out Genki Sushi, roam around a toy convention, and eat some yogurt.
I know Laira is as happy to meet her friends as well. I'm really excited on the stuff that we have to work on for our wedding for the next few months such as our gifts to our entourage, finalizing the activities on our reception, and on our vows. What an eventful 2024!

Week ending: 12 February 1953
Coming up for Valentine's Day 1953, are we in a romantic mood with the charts? Two familiar voices will decide:
Everything I Have is Yours - Eddie Fisher (peaked at No 8)
Yes, we are in a romantic mood, with this song about Eddie Fisher's absolutedevotion to his love. Like a lot of the more straightforward love songs we've seen so far, this one seems pretty Route A, it really doesn't muck around.
The title tells you everything you need to know, really. Eddie would give his love anything that he possesses, and would do anything for them. It's sweet, and while it doesn't mention marriage, it also feels a bit like wedding vows, in its own way. So that's two weeks in a row.
There's a nice touch of melancholy to one of the earlier lines, as Eddie sings that "I would gladly give the sun to you / If the sun were only mine". He's sad that he can't give them everything - it's quiet and a little wistful, and I like it a lot.
Actually, the more I listen to this, the less healthy this all sounds. Giving the sun and earth and stars is one thing, then we get into "I'd be happy just to spend my life / Waiting at your beck and call" territory, which just sounds a bit desperate. Not the best dynamic, necessarily.
I genuinely like the line "You came and captured a heart that was free, / Now I've nothing left I call my own!" It's the most deliberately dark-sounding line in all this, a suggestion that he was freer when he wasn't in love - not that he regrets it, but it's an interesting line anyway.
And the music, throughout all of this, is fairly smooth and sweet, with a few accidentals creating tension at key moments. It's well-made stuff.
Faith Can Move Mountains - Nat King Cole (10)
We previously have heard this song, but Johnnie Ray's emotionally-charged original version. I went off on a tangent there about how knowing a bit about Johnnie Ray's personal life made it a more interesting song. Will Nat King Cole's version have the same charm?
It's much slicker, with its big string introduction, and Nat King Cole's slower, smoother voice. Where Eddie went for emotion, Nat King Cole is going for prettiness, I think, or smoothness.
There's this ethereal choir of people going "oooooh" behind Nat, at points, and I'm mad at how well it works. We need more songs nowadays with an "ooooh" choir.
The oboe that comes in to accompany the singing is very nice, just really smooth and classy, and the strings that come in after that are also quietly elegant.
The whole thing feels a little bit lullaby-like, especially with its back and forth bassline, which just keeps plodding along throughout the song, reliably present underneath the pretty instrumentation.
The brass swell at the end into "I can move mountains", and the big dramatic choir-and-brass ending makes it feel like the end of a Disney film, too, shaking us out of our sleep for just long enough to appreciate the song.
I do like this, in terms of raw quality, but I think Johnnie Ray's version is much better, in terms of performance. Both him and his backing band really sold the song, whereas Nat King Cole's delivery is a bit less authentic-feeling. Nice, but not as "real".
It also feels very soon for a cover version to be hitting the charts - the original barely just came out! I think this was possibly more common in the early days of the charts, but it does make you wonder if the same people were buying both of these, or if people had preferences?
Well, that concludes for today, with two decent songs. Both are romantic in a very guileless, Route A way, with a touch of melancholy. And both are very pretty and lush in their production. Still, my favourite is clear.
Favourite song of the bunch: Everything I Have Is Yours

the idea of marriage wasn’t one nesta had thought about often, in fact she believed it to be off the table for her entirely. werewolves usually married other wolves or they get lucky enough to find a mate, something the wolves value more than marriage. every now and then a werewolf would marry a human, but only if the human knew about the existence of supernaturals and were tolerable of it. nesta had no interest in marrying a human, in fear of accidentally hurting them and the werewolves nowadays were scarce. her pack consisted of two other wolves, gwyn and emerie; nesta was their alpha. a prolonged war between vampires and werewolves was the culprit of the werewolf and vampire population being depleted.
the higher ups in the supernatural world supposedly thought the best thing to do in order to stop this war between the two species was marriage. never in the history of their kind had a vampire and a werewolf been married. it wasn’t technically forbidden, but it was an unspoken rule between all of them that it was looked down upon. nesta and her pack had high standing within the werewolf court, so it was them who were approached to be the wolf tribute in this insane marriage. except, they had lied about who this marriage was to. they claimed he was a fellow wolf, another alpha with a small pack that wanted a union to ensure their kind’s existence doesn’t die out because of this war. of course she wasn’t going to allow gwyn or emerie to be the ones getting wed. she’d take on what was expected of her in this marriage because she believed she was useless otherwise. she had said yes before the three of them could even discuss it.
when the doors opened and she stood before the aisle and saw the man that was to be her husband dread filled her. his smell had hit her instantly and she knew him and the men standing next to him were vampires. as she walked down the aisle she contemplated tearing into them with her claws and fangs right then and there for such a betrayal. let them think she was going along with this then attack them when she was right next to them. she even communicated the plan to emerie and gwyn via mind, who had also scented what the men were and were now taking a protective stance in front of nesta’s human sisters. just as she’s taking his arm she’s about to call in the order to attack when she catches the subtle looks between the groom and one of his friends, curiosity gets the better of her and she puts a stop to her plans.
numbly, the vows come out of her mouth. not once does her piercing gaze leave the man’s. cassian, she learns his name only when the priest says it. there was no reception for this was no celebratory marriage. it was decided she would live at cassian’s house, there was no way she was allowing a vampire into the home of her sisters. burning cold rage filled her as they drove in silence to her new home, it wasn’t safe for her to talk to him in a small space where she could easily lose control and shred him to pieces. the second they were out of the car she was calling the person who orchestrated this whole thing while she followed cassian inside the house. a string of profanities as well as threats were coming from her mouth.
a marriage between a wolf and a vampire to end the war between the two, that was the plan all along and nesta didn’t have a say in it. she threw her phone across the room when the call ended and whirled on cassian, fury burning on her face. she didn’t know what she even felt her emotions were all over the place. she hated women being pawns, hated men thinking they were entitled to use women how they want. hell, she had been prepared to marry another wolf and have babies with him just to keep the werewolf population alive. instead she was setup to be married to the enemy of her kind all the stop a fucking war that wasn’t her fault. she hated how used she felt. “did you know about this?!” her words come out as more of a growl, nesta always had been more wolf than human. “you and your friends at the wedding, did you all know about this stupid plan?!” they were mistaken when they believed this marriage would end a war when nesta was teetering on the edge of killing the man before her.
someone said vampire werewolf bride situation. i said yes. // @deathsconsort
this has to be some sort of cosmic joke, he's dressed in a tuxedo standing in front of a preacher with his best friends beside him. except he's never imagined himself married. dead? well, more dead? yeah. on a battlefield? definitely. but fuckin' standing in front of a preacher with a satin ribbon around his neck as he fights the urge to flee.
ironically, he doesn't want to flee out of concern for himself. but out of concern for the woman he's to wed. he's seen her a few times. the sort of woman that prince's got to marry, people like rhysand, even bastards like azriel. the kind of woman who marries vampires who carry themselves like royalty. not the kind of woman who marries the turned bastard of a whore and her customer.
this line of thinking has his fangs extending, pricking at the soft flesh inside his lower lip. a deep breath. a breath that brings to his nostril the overwhelming scents of humanity. this was a fair trade they'd said. one of their women, for one of the advisors of the vampire court.
azriel's affection lay elsewhere, and honestly no one could make him do anything he didn't want to do. and rhysand? well after his last fifty years, he'd deserved a break. so. cassian had volunteered. sure maybe he wasn't a catch. but he had position. he'd take care of her. and he knew he'd never force this bride into anything she didn't consent to.
his single rule and insistence had been, she consents to this wedding, this marriage.
and, he'd been surprised when she had.
now she's walking down the aisle, a vision in white and lace. her silver ice eyes shining through the veil. he can feel that gaze. he can feel the hidden claws beneath her skin as she takes his arm. they haven't given him just a human bride. they've given him a she wolf.
rhysand scents it at the same time cassian has made his realisation, but his eyes shift to his friends. an infinitesimal shake of his head. there's a reason. there's a reason she's here. there's a reason she agreed to this. and rhysand steps back.
the vows go as vows do. and all cassian remembers is the words he finaly murmurs.
' i do. '
and hers in return.
#ohohoh you don't even know how excited i am for this#( werewolf au )#☾ ‘ how the winds moan her name. can you hear it too? nesta. nesta. nesta. ‘ ( thread )#deathschallenger

Thoughts on the Fierce Deity
So the whole mystery of the Fierce Deity is fascinating, and it’s fun watching everyone’s interpretation of it. It seems like the most common one is that this is a powerful deity that is not to be trifled with, the mask is consumptive and dangerous, should not be used at all, etc.
But guys. What if the Fierce Deity is just some nice deity that’s known as “fierce” because of how fiercely he defends those he loves? But he’s actually just a softie? Kind of like any of the other Links? Or he’s really sociable and loves hanging out with people?
Like what if Link puts on the mask and Fierce Deity is like “wow it’s been ages, I wonder how things have changed and what kind of music people listen to nowadays, and HOLY GODDESSES WHY IS THE MOON DROPPING K BRB GOTTA FIX THIS”
When FD sees Majora he’s like “Oh it’s you” and it turns out they had some dumb rivalry way back in the day but Majora’s completely bonkers and FD wasn’t, Majora got him cursed so they were both sealed away in masks and FD hates his guts.
And then once Majora is defeated FD is like “phew, sweet, so let’s enjoy this Clocktower Town place, these festivities look awesome—” but then he doesn’t get a chance because he realizes Link wants to take the mask off, so he kind of just sadly goes “ok…” and takes it off.
Fishing is his favorite pastime, so when Link is in the fishing hole FD’s mask is practically burning like “PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEEEASE JUST LET ME CATCH FISHIES FOR A WHILE IT’S BEEN AGES”
What if Time has the markings of the FD because the mask just kept whining like “Ok Link, but what if you just let me wander around for a bit and I can WOW DO YOU SEE THOSE PRETTY COLORS IT’S A FESTIVAL COME ON LINK LET’S CHECK IT OUT AND—” and Link is just like “I don’t do crowds” and FD is like “YEAH BUT I DO SO JUST PUT ME ON AND YOU CAN CHILL AND I’LL HAVE A BLAST” and it gets so bad and FD parties so hard and Link wakes up with so many hangovers and he finally calls it quits when he realizes FD’s markings are showing up on his face because he’s indulged the poor dude’s party habits for too long. So then he retires the mask and FD is very sad.
OR
What if FD takes one look at Link and is like “Ok I’m adopting you” and so long as Link is carrying the mask FD is just, like, buzzing in his mind like “did you remember to wash behind your ears, did you brush your teeth this morning, LINK I AM TALKING TO YOU—” and Time just warns the others in the Chain that the FD mask can drive you insane because he drives Link nuts with all his nagging.
And then FD notices the other Links in the Chain and is just overwhelmed with Happy Dad Feelings and is like “LINK you’re a DAD, LOOK AT ALL THESE BABIES”
I bet FD would kick Dink’s butt so hard for what he did to Twilight. The mask is probably burning right now, but Time’s too distraught to notice.
(PS, Fierce Deity was absolutely bawling during Link’s wedding to Malon, which made it really difficult for Time to say his vows because he could barely hear himself think over FD’s sobs)

Please for the love of god give us a part 2 for tyrell!reader
order up <3 ps i literally forgot cersei existed, assume she went mad and leapt off a tower after joffrey’s death or died from grief idk. anyways, here’s good father!tywin and the happy ending we deserve <3 can be read alone, of course, but I’ll link part one too
Going In
Tywin Lannister x fTyrell!Reader
Part One
Tyren had taken his first steps the day his father was slain in battle. You knew the possibility of him being killed when the Great Lion called his vassals to his cause. King Joffrey had made one final mistake before his grandfather saw him removed from the throne by conquest. Your sweet sister, Margaery had been a fool to hope she could tame the Mad King, and she’d paid with her life before the entire court.
Now, a moon after battle and after his coronation, King Tywin, First of His Name, had summoned the Widow Marbrand and her heir to bend the knee. You hadn’t expected the summons, especially as your husband’s brother, a man who despised you and your son, had already gone to the capitol in your stead. It seemed the King wished to see you personally.
Arriving in King’s Landing for the second time in your life, this time with a strawberry blond son on your hip, was a bittersweet affair. For as morose as you’d been to marry Lord Marbrand, he was a wonderful husband and father in the time he was allowed to fill those roles, and you missed him.
Wearing a black gown with your customary thorned shoulder pads, you looked every inch the Briar Rose people knew you as.
Being escorted to the mostly empty throne room and having given Tyren to a nursemaid, you prepared yourself to face Tywin Lannister, a man you might’ve married some years ago. He was sat at the Throne, looking as he had when he was Hand: commanding. He watched you as you approached, lips frowning at your choice of colour. Of course you mourned your husband, your friend, and the man supposed to guide Tyren in being a man himself. Now, all he had was you and a scornful uncle.
“Your Grace,” you greet, curtsying low and long.
“Lady Marbrand,” he said. “Or are you Lady Tyrell again? My condolences on the loss of your husband.”
“It is still Lady Marbrand, unless my brother by law commands I remarry.” The King did not seem pleased by the answer.
“And you’ve brought your son?”
“Yes, Your Grace. He is with his maids.”
“Bring him,” he commanded. Dread filled you. Would he harm your son? He wouldn’t dare, you resolved. You’d kill him, king or not if he had any untoward intentions.
When your son was brought into the throne room and saw you, he reached out with his chubby little hands, calling for his mama. You smiled at him and accepted him from the nurse, kissing his head as it settled by your neck on your shoulder.
“He seems a healthy babe,” the King commented.
“He is, though his teeth give him grief nowadays,” you replied cautiously.
“My lady,” the King says, before dismissing everyone but you and your babe from the room. You clutched Tyren protectively, and watched as Tywin’s eyes lost the hard look of a ruler in charge. Now, he seemed the same as when you’d stroll the gardens many moons before, and your heart lurched against your ribs at what that might mean. “Approach,” he said at last. You did.
He stared at Tyren, at his faintly red and gold hair, and the bright blue eyes the Marbrands were known by. Tyren watched the King in return, and after looking to you unsurely, he reached forward to be held, to your horror.
“Calm yourself, my lady. I will not hurt him.” And then your son was on the King’s lap, reaching for his ear and getting distracted by his sideburns.
“I had thought my brother by law came, Your Grace, to bend the knee on the Marbrand’s behalf.”
“He did arrive. And then he requested permission to wed you. When he was denied this, he vowed to have you killed. He is in the Black Cells awaiting his punishment.”
“Punishment for what, Your Grace? He did not attempt to kill me, what crime could he have been imprisoned for?” You had no fondness for your husband’s brother, but even Tywin Lannister could not do whatever he wished.
“For speaking against the future Queen.”
You frowned at the King.
“I cannot wait to meet her, especially to apologise for my brother by law’s words.”
Tywin stood from the throne, and descended the few steps that separated you both, your son in his arms doing funny things to your heart rate. When he was near enough, he reached for your hand to hold the one unoccupied by your babbling son, and brought your knuckles to his lips.
“You once told me, had I not hesitated, life might be very different. Of course,” he said, looking to Tyren, “we cannot regret everything about my hesitation, but everything else…”
“Your Grace,” you said, looking down to crush the hope forming in your chest. Hope was a fool’s emotion, hope was what got your sister and your husband killed, what made your brother by law act senselessly. You’d be damned before hope killed you too.
“Briar Rose, they call you. But you have only been a rose to me. I will not hesitate again, my lady. Should you deny me, I will not let you leave my sights. You will be here and safe and mine, or just safe and here. The choice is now yours,” he explained, looking to Tyren and quirking his lips at how enamoured the boy was with his hair and sideburns.
“I would be Queen.”
“You would.”
“I have never desired to be Queen. That was Margaery’s dream, and her dream killed her.”
“My grandson killed her. She was innocent in everything but wanting to be a fair ruler. She told me, a short while after her wedding, that she wanted to be queen because she wanted to be like you. And I happen to agree that you’d make a wonderful queen.”
“And the other candidates to be queen?” By the gods, hiding your jealousy at the thought of other women was harder than ever to temper with this man holding your son and your hand.
“There are none,” he said, looking at you knowingly.
“You have much faith in me, Your Grace, to assume I am what the realm needs.”
“I am what the realm needs. And you are what I need. Agree, my lady. And I can rectify the mistake I made two years ago.”
You wanted to say yes, wanted to let him move closer than he already was, to kiss the mouth of the only man who had made you laugh since your brothers.
“My son. His birthright is Vine Hall, I don’t want him to be prince.” Sensing how close he was to victory, Tywin let go of your hand to wrap it around your waist, and hold you securely to him.
“He will inherit Vine Hall, and if he wishes when he is older to be prince, we will discuss it again then.”
The Lion could be reasonable, you thought as you leaned forward in lieu of answering. He met your kisses with the attitude of a man starved, and did not pull away from you until you were breathless.
“Mama,” your son said impatiently, tired of waiting for your attention.
“Yes?”
“Horsies,” he said plainly. Tywin chuckled against your throat.
“To the stables,” he said, before walking with your hand in his out of the throne room to indulge your son.
===
The wedding was as grand as the richest King in history could afford to put on. And members of the nobility were still gathered in the capitol in the wake of the coronation, so to say it was a gay affair was putting it mildly.
King Tywin had even danced with his Queen before all the court at the wedding feast, and already you knew there would be songs of the Great Lion and his Briar Rose.
When he’d pulled you from the feast to go see Tyren off to bed, you had expected you’d both return to the celebrations and mooch as you would have to for the rest of your life. But your husband dragged you to the Royal Chambers (that had been redesigned after Joffrey’s proclivities were discovered) which were no longer separated into two bedrooms, but one master bedroom with chambers for any children, a study, a parlour and a dining room.
He kissed you silly, and before you knew it, you were naked as your nameday under your husband.
“Mine,” he had said throughout the night. As he kissed your neck, your breasts, your stomach (paying sweet attention to the silvery scars bearing Tyren left you with) and your hips.
“Tywin!”
Your first husband had never been passionate, but your second husband had enough for two people. He was a man starved at your core, kissing, sucking and licking, he even laid gentle bites on your thighs which made you quiver in your desperation. You peaked twice on his face, and even then he didn’t look ready to stop.
“Tywin,” you panted, tugging at his arms to return to you at the top of the bed. He separated from your core with a final kiss which made you jolt, then crawled up to you, kissing the same pathway he had on his way down. “No more teasing,” you scolded, though the effect was lost with your blush covering your chest and face.
“Teasing?” he grumbled, lowering himself over you to pin your body to the bed. As though using magic, he was lined up and already gently prodding, allowing you to slowly open up for him before pushing inside. “You peaked on my mouth twice, wife. That isn’t teasing.”
“I know you, Lion,” you panted as he settled fully inside you. He did not move, even after you’d adjusted and began wriggling beneath him. “You’re teasing me right now.”
“I only want to be sure my wife is appreciating my attentions,” he goaded, grinding slightly but not nearly enough to bring you any relief. “How can I be sure she is, when she accuses me thusly?”
You looked up into his eyes, and felt, once again, your thorns retreat. You cupped his cheeks, wrapped your legs around his waist and kissed him sweeter than ever. Please, you whispered against his mouth. My Lion.
“You were always meant to be mine,” he growled, as he made you his wife good and proper. You could not speak anymore, too busy trying to replace the breath your husband took as he firmly drove into you. When you whined, a sound that had your eyes shutting and cheeks flushing, you made to move your hand to cover your mouth.
“No,” he growled, pulling your hand from your mouth. “You are my queen now, my lioness. Let me hear you.”
That night, you’re quite certain all of King’s Landing heard your roar.

“Father,” Tyren called one morning as the royal family was breaking their fast. Now ten, and growing more and more every day, Tyren was approaching manhood, and all at your husband’s attentive measures. He was training Tyren himself in the art of the sword, and told you of every success and lesson your son learned in the training yard.
“Yes, son.”
You felt a stirring anytime Tywin claimed Tyren as his. And he had done a lot already. He’d named him the Marbrand heir, but had his name changed to Lannister. Children of our marriage will be Lannisters, and it wouldn’t do to have Tyren feel excluded, especially if his siblings are princes and not he. You’d been particularly ravenous for him the night he said that.
“Why am I not a prince like my brothers?”
The question made your stomach drop, but one look at Tywin told you all would be well.
“You are the heir to Vine Hall. It was agreed by your mother and I that you would not be prince, until such a time as you could decide yourself.”
Tyren looked off in thought for a moment. Tywin had often commented that though his colouring was of his sire, his face was yours. You could see it when your son thought hard about something, and in the curve of his smile and the slope of his eyes. You suspected Tywin had a private adoration for Tyren this way, as your other two sons were the spitting image of their father.
“Do you think I would be a good prince, father?” your son asked hopefully, looking with pale blue eyes into rich green. Tywin’s lips quirked.
“You are my son, and I have taught you myself in the ways of the realm since you could read. You are already a good prince, Tyren, even if it not your current title.”
“Mother, would you be upset? If I wanted to be prince? Who would Vine Hall go to?”
“You could never upset me, Tyren. Vine Hall would go to Goodwin, only because Tyson has had his heart set on being a knight since he could say the word.” Your second son at eight was determined to be as great a knight as his older half brother Jaime, who had married and spent most of his time at the Rock now.
“What about me, mama?” a sweet voice called. Ysold, your daughter, unlike her older brothers eating either side of her, was always talkative in the mornings. She must get it from her father, the early rising habit. There were not enough hours in the day to be a good queen and sleep, it seemed, and you were always tired in recent memory.
“You, my princess, will be locked in a tower and guarded by dragons,” your husband teased. Ysold laughed at her father and called him silly, which Tywin pretended to take offence at.
“Mama told me you’d pick me a husband, papa, and he’d take care of me and our children!”
Tywin glared at you for the truth of the matter. He was especially protective of Ysold, who like Tyren, had her father’s colouring with golden hair and emerald eyes, but was your little twin in every other regard. Your pregnancy with her had been difficult, the birth frightening, but you’d recovered in the five years since. Tywin was still hesitant about more children, fearing another would be too much for your body.
“Your mother is speaking with fairies,” Tywin dismissed. “I have even picked out the dragons.”
Ysold laughed again and forgot about her question altogether in favour of following her brothers to archery lessons. Tywin had not been thrilled by your suggestion she join them, but with the idea of her being able to defend herself (and the spare hour they’d have without the children) he’d reluctantly agreed.
“You will have to choose a man for her one day, husband.” He hummed but said nothing, glaring at his eggs.
“No man will deserve her.”
“Do you mean to say you don’t deserve me, too, husband?”
Tywin looked at you, at the coy expression on your face, and smirked.
“That’s exactly what I’m saying.”
You stood from the table and moved toward your chambers, looking over your shoulder at him.
“Perhaps you could remind me why I stay by your side, then?”
“Gladly,” he growled, chasing after you into the bedroom to blissfully waste away an hour.
