When the City Fell

The mission parameters were simple. Routine, even, and he had stated as much to Recently when he'd packed for their assignment. Something was fussing about in the broken shores again and their unit had been selected to go and check things out. The paladin smiled inwardly. As he bid farewell to his wife, he'd reassured her. He'd be done, and back before she knew it. If he'd only known, he might have kissed her a little bit longer, held their son just a little bit tighter…

The assignment itself was simple. They had been doing well, just getting everyone assembled for the briefing before there had been talk of the city moving… No real knowledge of when. Mages and their teleports, of course. Neither his brother, or he, had expected it would be soon. It was something that seemed fairly routine for the citizens that called the city home. So when the movement had happened, it had been a bit jarring, but they would simply have to get everyone together and re-group, figure out where they were and then get back to the place they still needed to be. Such re-deployments were not unknown to the older sindorei. they had used them in the Thalassian military after all. Re-grouping with his unit, with his brother, was simple enough, too, however the sudden rumbling was accompanied by an all too familiar chittering, the sound he dreaded.. that he knew all too well from his time in Northrend.

Nerubians…

Orders were barked, and he followed to the letter. In that moment he was not his commander's playful older brother. He was a soldier. Citizens were escorted to the crowd at Krasus Landing, where several mages had set to teleporting their people to safety. He swore he saw familiar faces in the crowd but there was no time to think on it.

He was in the middle of fending off a nerubian scarab lord when he heard the crack, felt the ozone of energy shoot through the air. He had just enough time to cast a shield upon himself before the sensation of the ground being ripped from under him caused his head to spin. The fall was not pleasant, and he did not have the time, nor forethought to summon his divine steed before the world went black from the ground rushing to meet him far too quickly.

"I'm sorry… My love…."

When he awoke, he was uncertain how much time had passed. A golden glow still illuminated his form, faintly, and he felt bruises starting to form where he was certain there should have been broken bones. Trying to move, to sit up, he found a sharp pain in his skull, and one arm, though the arm finally moved, with some effort, he found he was caught.. by his hair, tabard, one boot twisted and caught between rocks, while debris shifted over his head. He recognized some of the stone.. sewer grates.. he was under part of the sewer

Closing his eyes, he managed, with some effort, to move, slowly, under the rubble, digging his knife free of his belt, before shifting hands up slowly behind his head, taking a handful of his hair before after a quiet hiss he carved his ponytail loose… He would even it out later, for now, one less problem to deal with. For a mercy, his glasses were undamaged, and after a few moments, he heard digging in the rubble above. A voice, cracking, rasping, not his normal, called up to the familiar Dalaranian lilt. "I'm here.. down here…" A few more moments and what appeared to be a handful of leather-clad deviants had made their way to him, and after some finagling managed to get him, and what remained of his armor free. The tabard was a lost cause, he would have to replace later, and he'd lost his pack, and shield. Thankfully his hammer was bound to him. "Who else survived? " Many of the rogues den didn't know, but they helped him the rest of the way free and pointed him at the other piles. They were trying to get survivors out, and he set to helping them. Somewhere out in this mess was his Unit.. His Commander... his baby brother... He had to find them.

🧝🏻‍♀️🪻Novo cosplay na fila: Thranduil 🪻🧝🏻‍♀️

Durante as minhas recentes organizações de materiais, resolvi maratonar O Hobbit porque eu não havia assistido tantas vezes quanto o Senhor dos Anéis (na época que a Sociedade do Anel estreou, eu estava na faculdade de música e, em muitas sextas, quando meus colegas iam descansar - e outros para o bar - eu ia sozinha aos filmes. Isso fez com que eu assistisse ao primeiro filme da trilogia umas 12 vezes, só no cinema.).

Anos mais tarde, quando estreou O Hobbit, eu já não tinha condições de fazer isso porque o ingresso quadruplicou de preço, então hoje cinema é um luxo que eu só posso me dar uma vez para cada filme. Com isso, só vi os filmes do Hobbit uma vez no cinema (o primeiro deles(foto 1) inclusive, ficou sempre marcado porque foi quando conheci minha amiga @carlassa ). Então só voltei a assistir O Hobbit novamente em casa, em tv a cabo e depois em streaming.

Pois que nessa recente maratona eu me descobri gostando ainda mais do que antes, talvez por detalhes que eu tenha deixado passar despercebido das outras vezes em que estava muito presa à história. Dessa vez, o que eu realmente fiquei reparando foram os figurinos, principalmente do Rei Thranduil. E então começou a dar o comichão do cosplay de novo...claro, nem terminei o da Alagboriel em Warcraft ainda (e juro que vou terminar) mas isso nao me impede de ir pesquisar e buscar as referências dos próximos.

Aí aconteceu um negócio engraçado...eu postei minhas dúvidas sobre se seria possível encontrar os tecidos certos aqui em Belém, e qual não foi minha surpresa quando um perfil de uma grande loja que sigo no Instagram postou um tecido perfeito...

Eu, óbvio, me animei. Agora está nos planos bem próximos fazer cosplay do reizinho. E pensar que anos atrás eu quis fazer o do Legolas e até agora está engavetado 😂

Mas postei esses pensamentos e desenvolvimentos para explicar porque meus próximos reels sairão da linha de conteúdo próprio que eu costumo fazer: encontrei diversos videos de bastidores da produção do Hobbit relacionados ao Thranduil e quero guardá-los aqui como referência.

Depois voltaremos à nossa programação normal.
