This is what I love about the Junkyard. This glove box, online 50$ the fasteners another 50$ I'm guessing. I walked out $7.50 for all of it. Lil gas in Mason jars cleans the bolts right up. Wash with water after and let dry. Rattle can black. Great way to save money on these restoration projects!

So I've been rebuilding this 78 gmc for awhile now and I have put alot of money into it. After scrolling through site after site looking at hardware, fasteners, different bolts misc items. They get really expensive, so I've came up with a pretty solid way to get great sets of bolts and misc items for rebuild. When I go to these junkyards and pull parts I always bring an impact gun with 3/8" drive attachment, and bags, also a sharpie to label what I pull so I'm not confused later. Then I go home and keep it all separated in jars while washing with gas. Then use paint filters (like 1$ for 1000 of them) wash off with water let dry and paint. I attached some pictures to relate to. I rattle can a coat while bolts are stabbed into cardboard, then turn them on their heads after they dry and hit the threads with a coat to help with seizing bolts or rusting again.

So I messing around painting the ash tray white when the rattle can clogged up. So I decided to do black and let her sit over night. Then painted the next and the colors still separated in this weird crackle form. Looks pretty cool I'll probably leave it for now.

Rolled on the Por15, waiting to dry then hit with gloss black rattle can. Temperatures are dropping to cold to paint. :(

Got my doors straightened out and hung ready for primer in the morning. Each door totalled right at 40hours. Totalling about 80 hour together. Need to cut one 6x9 speaker hole in the morning and spray first coats of primer. These girls will be ready for paint in no time!

Ok winter break is over and projects are picking up where we left off. Firstly, I got a new house and just got everything situated. When I left the old one my neighbor thought he would be a kick ass dude and give me a 1979 Chevy k10. Here is a couple pictures. Next up primer fenders hood and front clip.
