Request: Love Sick!
@catmikaelson20 asked: hello, could you make a request for klaus where he is madly in love with the reader and is courting her and everyone makes fun of him because with the others he is an idiot and around him he basically follows her like a puppy and grabs anything to please her🥰🥰
Tumblr media
Klaus normally gets what he wants. Women and men normally fall at his feet craving his attention, but Y/N wasn’t like that and he was happy about that. He had made it his mission to make her his. He was going to court her, he didn’t care the lengths he had to go to win her favour, but what he did know was that he was going to win it.
Klaus had decided that it would be Y/N or no one else. So, he decided that he would begin the courting process. He knew that it would take time, but he has all the time in the world.
Klaus decided to start off simple and thought it would be best to be friends. Getting to know one another and spending time together. Y/N loved spending time with Klaus, he was always so open about talking about everything he had seen and experience. Whereas, Stefan just wanted to bury it away like his nature and Damon would always make some wisecrack joke about his past. Y/N found herself spending more time around Klaus and his family and getting to know them. Spending time with them felt undramatic and simple, it didn’t feel like there was another drama around the corner and she was happy about that.
The more time they spent together to more often Klaus would bring her gifts like her favourite flowers and chocolates. But, sometimes it was the simple things like her favourite coffee or a small sketch of her. Without fail it would make her blush and she couldn’t help the smile that would invade her face.
It wasn’t just Y/N that he won over but also her family, his easy charm and manners won them over. They enjoyed watching him with their daughter and how kind and caring he is about her.
When it came to the ball, Klaus got her a stunning dress and requested that she saved him a dance. Y/N wasn’t planning on attending the Ball but she couldn’t refuse him. She loved it and felt like a princess the whole evening even though she had no clue what her friends had planned for the Mikaelson’s. It was Damon and Stefan who had noticed how his focus had gone solely onto Y/N.
Rebekah and Kol were watching as Klaus filled a basket with treats and gifts.
“Nik what are you doing?” Rebekah asked with a raised brow.
“Y/N is ill and I thought that I would make her a hamper with all the things she likes to make her feel better.” Klaus answered as he was putting the finishing touches on it.
“Look at you Niklaus all domesticated.” Kol grinned manically at his brother.
“Shut it Kol.” Klaus glared at his little brother.
“I didn’t know you could do something so selfless.” Rebekah looked at her brother in shock.
“Well, I have my moments.” Klaus huffed picking up the basket and left quickly leaving behind two highly amused siblings.
Rebekah found it funny watching her love sick brother who refused to love anyone follow after her like a puppy. All she can say is that she is glad that it wasn’t someone like Caroline Forbes.
Elijah found it refreshing to see his brother like this he had always said that love is a vampire's greatest weakness and now to see him fawning over someone was amusing.
Finn watched on in shock, but soon found it as amusing as his siblings especially in moments when Y/N wouldn’t give him the time of day.
Kol found it hilarious. Kol’s favourite thing is to flirt aggressively with Y/N and also to take up as much of her time as he can to make Klaus jealous.
Y/N decided that she wanted to go to the Grill for a little while and Klaus found out and decided to join her. Damon, Stefan, Caroline and Elena were also there and they watched as Klaus followed Y/N like a lost puppy.
“Oh look it’s the puppy.” Damon grinned, receiving a fierce glare from Klaus and a low snarl making the group all flinch back at the sound, before Klaus quickly brought his attention back to Y/N and melted under her smile. The group watched in mild awe at how different Klaus was with her compared to others. When Y/N leaves after a call from her parents, Damon makes his way next to him. “I didn’t know the big bad Hybrid was all soft for some girl.” Damon grinned amused.
“Have care how you talk about Y/N.” Klaus glared at what Damon said.
“Ohhh, what hitting a nerve with the puppy?” Damon grinned amused.
“Just because you two seem doomed to always want each others girl doesn’t mean we all have to fall at her feet.” Klaus snaps at the two who where taken aback by his words.
Stefan likes to tease him about when they were werewolf hunting and he was continuously asking about her.

Fake it till You make it
Tumblr media
Pairing: Stefan Salvatore x Female!reader
Characters: Stefan Salvatore, Female!reader, Caroline Forbes, Damon Salvatore, Katherine Pierce (Katerina Petrova), Bonnie Bennett, Elena Gilbert
Warnings: Fluff, humor, mentions of Katherine's behavior, reader and Stefan have been together for a while, Damon and reader are lowkey besties, reader loves Caroline, slight mentions of murder
Word Count: 395
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You glance around the room, wondering what their looks are for. “Did I miss something?”
“Careful, you're starting to sound like you care,” Damon teases, making himself another drink.
“Why wouldn't I?”
“Oh, I don't know, does killing one of my mom's deputies sound like something a sane person would do?” Caroline chimes in, crossing her arms as she stares at you.
You shrug, “I was going with the plan.”
“What plan?” Stefan asks, curious as to what you're talking about.
The eldest Salvatore turns around, taking a sip of his drink. "Hold on, I thought you turned it off?" Damon asks.
You shrug, "I'm a woman. I can fake it."
The girls give you weird looks, not at all pleased with your comment while Damon tries to hide his amusement.
Stefan shakes his head as the corner of his lips twitch as he tries not to outwardly admit that was a funny joke.
You lay back against the couch, “I had to pretend like I wanted to be on Katherine's side in order for our plan to work.”
“You could do it with a little less murder.”
“Can it, vampire Barbie. At least one of us can distract the queen bitch of all.”
“I can-”
“The last thing we need is you two fighting with one another and giving Katherine the upper hand,” Stefan tells her.
You smile at your boyfriend. “Thank you, honey. I promise as soon as this is done, we'll do a girl’s day or whatever the hell you yougins do.”
“You’re not that much older than us,” (your favorite) Caroline adds.
“Physically you are correct but after joining the supernatural side of things, I am older than you three combined.”
“After we take down this bitch, I say we go out for drinks.”
“Count me in, vampire Barbie.”
“Damon called me that one time, can't we let it go?” She whines.
You chuckle and shake your head. “Never.”
Stefan rests his arms against the back of the couch. “You could be a little nicer.”
“Stefan, honey, I am being as nice as I can, but I can’t lose too much of my character or else Katherine will know.”
He sighs, “just… be careful, okay?”
You smile, trying to reassure him. “I will,” you lean up and peck his lips. “I have you by my side to watch out for me.”

klaus making his black/thicc!reader gf to ride him while he is on the phone with elijah and he’s just rubbing her butthole during the whole convo and she’s whimpering calling him daddy

Little Beauty
Klaus had his lips all over her beautifully dark, rich skin; feeling how smooth she was and breathing in her delicious scent. His hands had stroked the length of her bare body over and over until he could almost see the buzz of energy that wrapped around every inch of her.
Her pupils had spread across the majority of her lust-filled eyes as she panted softly beneath him. Y/N had begged him to just take her, fuck her; stop with the teasing.
A weak groan left her as his palm cupped a handful of the perfectly shaped ringlets of hair, his forefingers following the spiral before tugging it gently.
Y/N went to protest him messing her hair up but his mouth was already keeping hers busy, pressing against hers with such an obvious need. The desire between them only ever seemed to grow as his arm went round her waist, lifting her body and prompting her to wrap those gorgeously thick thighs around his hips. Their tongues were too impatient to play nice, hers was desperate and begging whilst his remained taunting and dominant.
By the time she was able to breathe again, they were both sat up right. Klaus resting the back of his head against the headboard whilst his girl nuzzled her nose against his and straddled his lap just like he wanted her to.
A wet kiss was placed just beside the corner of her lips before his hot mouth was breathing right against her ear. "You'll have to take what you want, love." He muttered, voice low and gruff causing a shiver to crawl down her spine. She knew what he meant, her body was more than ready to comply but her mind was running slow as the heated haze lingered over her soul.
A chuckle rumbled through his chest as he watched her mindlessly grind her hips against his, a whine leaving her already parted lips. His broad hands slid down her back to her ass, gripping and squeezing the flesh in his hands to pull more sounds from her before lifting her figure up and guiding her down onto his cock.
A throaty groan vibrated in his throat at the familiar feel of her warmth enveloping his thickness. His eyes fluttered but he kept them open to see her head fall forward, her face pressing into his shoulder whilst a thankful moan echoed through the room.
His hand lifted to cup her jaw, lifting her face up so she would look at him. His eyes were slightly narrowed as his gaze took in every feature of her pleading face.
"I need you..." Y/N's hoarse voice whispered and he hummed ever so faintly in recognition of her words. His head tilted very slightly, one brow twitching but she knew what it meant and whimpered that simple word: "Daddy." She finished her sentence for him, lashes appearing thicker as the whites of her eyes glistened.
"That's my good girl." Klaus praised, jaw clenching at the immediate clamping of her cunt in response. "Go on, love. Show Daddy how hard you can try." He purred, urging her to roll her hips.
Y/N's nails were sharp against the skin of his biceps as she moved herself steadily along his length. Hands held onto her hips, admiring how full they were and encouraging her pace to quicken.
"Such a good girl, taking me so well." Klaus uttered before pressing a kiss to her forehead and licking the faint taste of her sweat off his lips.
A breathy moan left her as she bounced her ample ass against the muscle of his thighs, eyes closed shut and mouth open. The hybrid's fingers lazily stroked the back of her neck, occasionally toying with the little baby curls at the nape.
His hips had just bucked up to meet hers, pushing deeper inside her and pulling a loud moan from her chest when his ringtone sounded from beside them.
Both their eyes glanced at the screen, seeing Elijah's name pop up. Y/N started to slow her movements but a hard spank landed on her behind making a yelp erupt past her lips and her thighs to keep up the rhythm. "Be a good girl and keep going for Daddy." He commanded her, giving her a stern look as he lifted the phone to his ear and answered the call.
"What is it?" He questioned, his tone showing his expectance for no-nonsense as his spare hand continued to pat her ass in encouragement.
Y/N whined quietly against his shoulder, biting her tongue to try be quiet as her pussy ground down on her cock. Her hips jumped and rolled until she felt his head rub that perfect spot inside her. Both arms wrapped round his neck for support. The faint sound of Elijah's voice buzzed through the speaker on the device whilst she panted into his skin.
"Oh gods..." She mumbled, an edge to her voice that screamed for his attention.
Klaus ground his teeth to keep any groans in as he kept up his end of the conversation with his brother. His gaze would flicker down at the sight of her ass bouncing gracefully above his lap, her spine arching and hair sticking to her skin. He gave a firm squeeze to her asscheek again, smirking to himself as she let out a moan that he was almost certain Elijah would have been able to hear from his end.
Slowly he let his slender fingers slip down, feeling the moist between her rounded legs. He felt the edge of her pussy, how the flesh stretched around his cock and slid along him. Klaus considered paying attention to his favourite little button but he knew what she really needed.
Y/N's teeth bit into the skin between his neck and shoulder as his middle finger pressed and slowly circled her tight little asshole.
"Daddy..." She whimpered, her voice so needy as he caressed the pulsating muscle. Klaus kissed her temple softly between exchanged words with Elijah as he noticed her movements get a little sloppy as she tried to keep up with riding his cock and finger.
He had to suppress a chuckle at the way her brows furrowed and head fell back, revealing the slight indent of her teeth on his skin and the string of saliva that still connected to her mouth.
He held the phone out for a brief second so he could lean down and lick her lips clean, swallowing another of her moans as he let just the tip of his finger sink into her hole.
Klaus pulled back, getting back to his call before Elijah could know he was gone.
His finger slowly pushed back and forth within her little ring, enjoying how she would shudder and tighten on his cock. "Daddy...please." She moaned, nails digging into his skin.
Klaus shushed her silently, giving her an amused look as her body rolled with more effort. She arched so exquisitely, moved like the most synchronised wave as she crashed down on him time after time.
Elijah was nothing but an annoying ring in his ear as his head went back, eyes drooping lazily as he muttered along in agreement to whatever his brother said. His finger and thumb teased her tight little hole, rubbing round the rim and pushing just inside every now as then to keep her pussy squelching around his cock with each bounce.
Everything about her was elegant. Even in her messiest, most desperate state; she was just perfect. She moved with the grace of a dancer and made the sounds of a high profile porn star. It was phenomenal.
Klaus was barely conscious to Elijah's voice as she pressed her breasts against his chest, letting them jounce just in front of his greedy eyes. He ached to suck those perky little nipples between his teeth, trail his tongue over each bud, bite down until she screams.
His hips bucked up, meeting her rhythm and making her whine. His jaw clenched tightly to keep himself quiet, especially with how much she was whispering to him. Begging for her daddy to make her cum, to take her harder and fill all her holes. She needed him so bad, wanted everything and anything.
His mind went blank for a hot second as he clenched his hand around his phone, keeping silent as he stuffed his finger into her ass and let her milk his cock of everything he was worth.
Klaus barely had time to register how she was clinging onto him, a weak but undeniably hot mess in his lap as she panted and whimpered tiredly.
A clearing of a throat sounded from his phone and Klaus cleared his throat. "What was that?" He asked, voice scratchy and Elijah let out a chuckle.
"I think sweet Y/N needs you a little more than I do after that, brother." Elijah mused, thankfully not annoyed by his brother's...activities. Klaus's jaw tensed and he hummed faintly.
"You won't repeat anything you've heard." He warned before hanging up and dropping the phone. His eyes cast down immediately and his hands stroked his lovers silk skin.
Y/N was still whispering for her daddy's attention and now that he was off the phone, he was happy to give it to her.
"It's alright my love, daddy's got you." He whispered, pulling his fingers away from her needy hole and lifting his hand to suck her taste off before gently pushing her back to see his cock buried inside her. "Gods...You'll be the end of me." He murmured, leaning down to kiss her lips before moving along her neck, heading for her tits. "My little beauty is such a good girl." He praised before sucking her already hardened bud into his mouth, eyes closing at the taste and feel of her.
Her hands brushed over his hair, wanting nothing more than to kiss him all over, feel him all over again. His cock was still snug inside her, she hoped he'd never pull out; never leave her empty again.
"Please...hold me daddy." She whispered and Klaus raised his head, letting go of her nipple with a wet 'pop' and gently cupping her delicate face. He kissed her soft lips, pressing his forehead to her and sliding his hands down her back and round her waist.
"Like this, love?" He muttered and she nodded, leaning her head against his chest and basking in his warmth and love. His skin was wet against hers, their sweat combining as he held her just like she needed him to.
His fingertips slowly brushed her sides, enjoying how she slowly nuzzled into him. "I love you" She would utter, eyes staring at nothing as she relaxed and clenched herself slowly around his cock.
"And I love you" Klaus promised back, kissing her cheek gently and feeling himself twitch inside her.
"Do you need to call Elijah back?" She whispered and he smiled faintly to himself.
"No, love, he can wait." He mumbled, not caring for anything other than her.

damon salvatore x shy, fem!reader
summary: amidst a bustling atmosphere, the one thing that catches damon’s eye is the silent girl
-
Damon sat down beside Alaric as he ordered bourbon. “Hello, Ric.”, he said with his signature smirk. “What do you want now?”, Alaric asked with an annoyed expression. “Can I not spend some time with my friend?”, Damon questioned as he pouted like a baby. Alaric fake laughed. “Whatever.”
Gazing around the grill, Damon’s eyes strayed over to a veer corner where he noticed you with Elena and Bonnie. He watched as you laughed along with them but you remained quiet. He couldn’t move his eyes away from you. He was captivated by you. He was curious about you. Alaric moved his hand in front of his vision to distract him. “Hello?”, he asked dramatically.
“Hello. Move your hand.”, Damon muttered with venom laced in his tone. Ric followed his eye-line and saw you. “Damon, she is far too innocent to have to suffer with the presence of Damon Salvatore.”
“Hmm, we’ll find out.”, he mumbled as he smirked to himself. He gulped down his bourbon and elegantly made his way over to your table. “Hello, ladies.”, he said as he sat in the empty seat which was fortunately next to you.
“What do you want?”, Bonnie asked protectively. “Relax. I was just wondering why I haven’t seen her around before.”, he pointed to you. Your cheeks flushed. “Umm, Damon she’s been here for like her whole life.”, Elena rolled her eyes. “You’re just too arrogant to notice her.”, she added. “What’s your name?”, he turned to look at you. You were stunned by his eyes that were the perfect shade of ocean blue and the way his eyes crinkled as he smirked at you. No man had ever looked at you in such a way. “Y/N.”, you simply answered.
“A beautiful name for a beautiful woman.”, Damon replied charmingly. “Damon, can you leave us alone now?”, Elena mumbled angrily. Bonnie nodded in agreement. You didn’t understand why they disliked Damon so much like obviously he could be very irritating but he was tolerable and he was nice to talk to.
“Well, I’d better get a move on since some people don’t want me here.”, he glared at Bonnie and Elena. He smiled at you. “Can I give you a call later?”, he asked softly. “Yeah, sure.”, you answered automatically.
It was currently six in the afternoon and your phone started buzzing. You looked at the screen and saw Damon’s contact flashing across it. You decided to pick up. “Hey, Y/N.”, he said. “Hi.”
“Would you like to go to the grill with me? I’m bored and I know you already went today but…”, he continued. “It’s fine, I’ll be on my way.”, you ended the call as you freshened yourself up before leaving a note on the fridge telling your parents where you were.
You cautiously walked into the grill and you saw Damon waving you over. “How are you?”, he asked. “Fine, what about you?”, you reciprocated after ordering a Diet Coke. “Great.”, he answered. “Do you know what I like about you?”, he questioned as he gazed into your eyes. “I love how quiet you are. It’s so alluring.”, he added with a genuine expression. You smiled at him. “Really?”, you asked. “Yes, why would I make that up?”
“I don’t know, I’m just used to being picked on for how quiet I am, to be honest.”, you stated as you played with your fingers, avoiding his intense eyes. “Don’t feel like that. That’s what makes you… you.”, he said. “I never thought someone like you could be so wise.”, you responded. “Well… I am over a hundred years old so you could say I’ve gained some experience.”, he smirked at you. “Fair enough.”, you simply stated as you proceeded to talk with him for another hour.

It had been months since Elijah had seen the three intertwined circles on the middle of Y/N’s back that made up her soul mark. The first and only time he'd seen it, he'd been pulling a wooden bullet out from her back when she asked for his help. From the moment Elijah helped to remove the bullet, the mark haunted him.
Seeing her mark should have been a great thing. It should have brought him some peace and happiness to see her mark. That her mark matched the very one he had just below his left clavicle. A perfect pair that made sense for how close they had become as friends over the century. If anything, since seeing her mark he's been conflicted on his feelings.
Part of him wants and tries to be protective of her. His soulmate that had come into his life when he least expected it. The woman that had become his best friend over the century had been the one thing he never actively searched for. He now knew why she stepped into his life and never left. But it was the other part of him that caused him to fight daily with his feelings.
Y/N would be in danger because of him. She would soon become a target if even the slightest word had slipped about who his soulmate was. An endless cycle he'd force her into if an enemy ever came knocking. Threats and being captured for the sole purpose of being leveraged against him.
Not to mention if his brother had ever lost his temper with him. Klaus wasn't one to spare the women in Elijah's life before. What difference would it make this time? All it would take was one action that made Klaus feel the slightest ounce of betrayal and he'd take it out on her.
Elijah was willing to take on the devil himself if Y/N was in danger. He was reminded of it any time she recklessly put herself in harm's way. An argument he had with her plenty of times during their friendship, but held a deeper meaning as of recently.
He was also reminded daily how easily she could bend him to her will with a simple smile as she walked into the room. Or the occasional knowing look she'd give him when he or his siblings said something she didn't agree with that would almost instantly change his mind about the situation. Especially if she added in her details that would make it reckless on her part.
But no matter how many times that feeling of comfort and love started to grow for the woman he believed he could only care for platonically, he could never voice it. He could never bring himself to mention the details that he knew. And because he chose to keep it to himself, it began the yoyo effect of wanting to keep her at a distance and keep her close for his own sanity.
It hadn’t gone unnoticed by Y/N either. From the moment she offered him a night out to deal with the humans who had put the bullets into her back, she noticed something different. She noticed the way his demeanor changed around her. He grew worrisome over the smallest of things he never had before. And even fought with her longer over details of plans to help take down the threat the Mikaelsons had been faced with.
She found herself frustrated on the days that he brushed her off and all but ignored her. He had never once been cold to her in the time that she had known him. They had pushed each other’s buttons on occasion, but Elijah had never once pushed her away like he had been doing now. Every time he did, it hurt more than Y/N had ever expected it to.
They were close friends, she knew that. She knew there would always be moments that Elijah would pick his family over her. That there would be moments where he would keep his family safe and do anything he could to also keep her safe. She knew she was not the highest priority. But why did it feel like someone had staked her when he walked away from her when she felt she really needed him for a few moments?
That's when the thoughts of doubt had been planted in her head. Doubts that were formed and fueled to drive her insane for most of the night that made it almost impossible to sleep. What had she done to earn such coldness from someone that she was close with? Had she crossed a boundary that she had suddenly been unaware of?
The final straw that broke her had been moments ago when she offered to go with him to deal with the beginning of a threat. It was always something they had done together. A way to have Elijah’s calm and calculated approach and her glimmer of chaos that would always work out in their favor. But when he told her to stay behind, she could no longer keep anything at bay anymore.
The moment Elijah had told her to stay behind, her face fell at his words. And as he walked past her to leave his expression hadn’t changed. And as she turned to face him, she let it all out.
“What have I done?” She asked, causing him to stop in his tracks. “Have I wronged you in some way that makes you no longer want to be around me?”
Elijah heard the way her voice cracked towards the end. He had hoped that his actions wouldn’t hurt her. But here she was asking what she had done to him when in reality it had been him to do it. He turned to face her and shook his head slightly.
“No.” His voice was composed in comparison to hers. “You have done nothing at all.”
She shook her head as she crossed her arms. “I’ve known you for over a century, Elijah. I know well enough to know you are lying to me. If I’ve done nothing wrong there wouldn’t be this shift between us where it feels like you suddenly want nothing to do with me.”
“I assure you that if I had wanted nothing to do with you, you would not still be standing here.” It was as close to the truth he could go to without coming out right with it. “We are facing a potential threat that I feel as though I need to do this with my siblings. We have no idea what they are fully capable of and the last time I checked, you are not as indestructible as you believe.”
Elijah had no idea how this threat would continue to play in their lives. He had no idea what knowledge they planned to use against them in an attempt to try and take him and his family out. That was why Elijah wanted to do this without her. He wanted to make sure that she would remain safe.
He didn’t want to take Y/N with him with the possibility of allowing them to get an inkling that Y/N had now meant more to him than he let on. He didn’t want her in danger from something he didn’t fully understand. This was the part of him that was willing to do anything to protect her. He just had to slightly push her away in order to do so.
“That never stopped you before.” She noted as she took a step towards him. “I may not be an original, but I am still a whole lot older than a majority of the threats that walk into the city. I have proven myself over and over that I can handle my own. I’m even better by your side. But ever since you’ve seen my mark, it’s like you don’t want to be near me. All I want is the truth from you. Did I do something or did my mark tell you something that you haven’t told me?”
Elijah looked at the ground for a moment before looking back up to her. He could see the hurt in her eyes as she expressed everything. But he couldn’t bring himself to tell her even though every part of him wanted to. To bring some peace to her mind on his reasoning instead of making her feel as though she wasn’t wanted.
“I’m going to try to make this as clear as I can." His voice was still even, almost void of any emotion. "This threat is not to be taken lightly. While we do not have the full specifics on who they are or why they are here, I do know they have come close to harming the people I care about." His eyes met hers. "While our normal plan pairs perfectly with the riff raff we deal with, at this moment it does not. So no, you will not accompany me tonight. I need you here."
After taking in his words, all she could manage was a nod before he was gone from her sight. He didn’t even give her a chance to respond or fight him on what he was telling her. And it left Y/N feeling defeated.
Her mind still tried to make sense of the changes that had come over the last few months. Every push and pull that happened between the two being analyzed as if it had been some rather important document or experiment being worked on. She was trying to find something, anything, to show what caused Elijah’s sudden change. No matter how many ways she thought about it, it only came back to one starting point: the night Elijah saw her mark.
Had seeing it really thrown him off to not want to be near her like he had used to? Not showing them their marks had been a preference they decided on early in their friendships. If there was ever a day they felt comfortable in showing what it was, they would have. And that night, with a bullet in her back, it hadn’t mattered if Elijah had seen it or not.
She ran a hand along her face, trying to shake off the thoughts that had kept her pacing her room for hours after he had left. She no longer cared about the mark or who she may have possibly shared it with. Why did that change now that Elijah had seen it?
It made her wonder if he had seen the mark on someone else. If there was a possibility that he felt guilty in some way after seeing it. There had been plenty of enemies in his existence. At some point he could have easily come across it and not realized it until he saw it on her back.
Did it belong to someone who had betrayed him? Had he seen it on someone that he had taken their life out of necessity? Or had this person been a victim of the many spells he had endured?
Deep down she knew it was the fear of losing Elijah. Something she had thought about over the century and a half she had known him. Friendships can only last so long before one reason or another comes along. She knew plenty of people who had left her on the back burner after finding their soulmate, even during her human years.
She had grown used to having Elijah in her life. It would take her longer to find a memory that didn’t involve Elijah versus the ones with. Over the years she had become dependent on the fact that Elijah had always been there for her just as she was for him. He was a constant and part of her hated the thought of her ever losing that.
At the thought, Y/N had felt her heart sink. A simple thought putting everything into perspective to her. The idea may have been formed from past experiences, but it all made sense. Elijah must have found his soulmate. And if that was the case, she was sure this was the beginning of being put further back on the burner.
“Y/N?!” Rebekah’s panicked voice had broken her from her thoughts, causing her to move quickly to find Rebekah.
Upon reaching the courtyard, a gasp left her lips as she found Rebekah dragging a half standing Elijah towards the couch. The majority of his clothing had been covered in blood. Parts of the fabric had been torn in several places. It was as if Elijah had picked a battle he couldn’t win.
“What the hell happened?” Y/N asked as she moved to help get Elijah settled on the couch. Her eyes had still been taking him in, accessing his injuries.
“Witches.” Elijah breathed out as he tried to get a hold of reality. He had lost enough blood and his mind had been a distorted mess from the magic he had been subjected to.
“Everything had been going according to plan but whatever spell they used on him, it threw him off course.” Rebekah took the moment to leave the room to get items they needed to help Elijah for the time being until Freya could get back there. The moment she was back she continued. “The others are still there dealing with them.”
Seeing the items Rebekah had brought, Y/N reached for the towel that had been sitting in a bowl of water and began cleaning off the blood from Elijah’s face and neck. “I can understand the disorientation, but what the hell ripped into him?”
There was panic rising within Y/N. She hated that he had made her stay behind. She could have been there to help him in some way. Been there to help prevent him from being hurt as he was now.
"Between the spell and some of the wolves within the vicinity, he couldn't watch his back." Rebekah said as she picked up another towel and folded it before placing it on Elijah's forehead. Afterwards she began picking up little containers of what Y/N could only assume were herbs and salves that Freya had instructed her to use for the time being.
As Y/N ran the towel over his neck, Elijah lifted his hand to her hand, stilling her movements. It caused her to look up at him. His eyes had been looking over her face, before they settled on her eyes.
"You're safe." His voice was barely above a whisper.
She nodded her head. "I am safe. You made sure I was." She wasn't sure if that was what he needed to relax more as she attempted to help clean him. "Freya will be here soon."
With that, Elijah seemed to relax his hold and it allowed for her to continue wiping up the blood. So far it looked as though any of the injuries he sustained were healing. It may have been at a whole lot of a slower pace, but his wounds were healing. But the moment her hand moved to remove the shredded fabric stuck to his skin along his left shoulder and chest, his hand grabbed a hold of her wrist, not wanting her to continue.
"I need to make sure your wounds are healing Elijah." She said softly as she brought her eyes up to his once more. "Or to at least give me the peace of mind that this looks way worse than it is."
"For once let someone take care of you." Rebekah added and pulled his hand away from Y/N. It had been too easy to remove his hand. His strength is almost non-existent given what he'd been through.
Elijah hated that he couldn't get his mind to process the protest he wanted to give. He hated that he couldn't give a strong enough response to say he'd deal with it later. But the spell within his mind made it difficult to think clearly for more than a second or two at a time.
Elijah’s eyes never left Y/N’s face as she began to move the fabric away from his chest. He didn't care about the wounds he was facing. He didn't even care that Y/N and Rebekah were caring for him. It was what laid just under the layers of fabric she was removing, that had him worried.
Quickly dipping the towel into the bowl of water between her and Rebekah, Y/N brought it back up to his chest and began to rid him of the drying blood. There was a part of her that was relieved to not see some gaping wound that he was trying to prevent her from seeing.
That relief soon turned into curiosity as the blood was being wiped away. The beginning of Elijah's mark became clear as day. With each wipe of the towel the mark continued to grow. And as last of the reminisce of blood was removed from the mark, she all but dropped the towel.
Just below his left clavicle had been three intertwined circles. It ran horizontally across his skin in the exact same way it ran across the middle of her back. And for a moment she fought herself on reaching out just to run her fingers along the mark. A need to make sure it was really there.
Elijah had watched her the whole time. Even through his hazed mind he could see the way relief had flooded her eyes before her brows began to furrow. The curiosity in her eyes had been evident and there was nothing Elijah could do to fully protest in his current state. All he could do was watch her as she learned what he had months ago.
Her soulmate had been right there in front of her for over a century.
Her eyes snapped to him and Elijah could see several emotions flash through her eyes. He could see the way there was a sliver of excitement before hurt filled them as she tried to stop the tears from welling up.
"What is it?" Rebekah asked as she caught on that Y/N had stopped her movements.
Y/N shook her head slightly before looking away from Elijah. "Nothing worth noting." She said as she went back to wiping the blood.
She kept her eyes away from the mark and as best as she could from keeping them from looking up at Elijah. She could feel his eyes on her. But she refused to look his way.
All of her wild thoughts that had been going through her head earlier had only been partially right. She honestly never thought this was the case. And if she was being honest with herself, this felt worse.
He had found his soulmate like she thought.  But she hadn't expected it to be herself. Not with the way he had pulled himself away from her during the course of the last few months. Not with the way she felt that she was losing her best friend.
Elijah knew that he was her soulmate and he didn't tell her. There wasn't an excitement at knowing that the person they spent decades with had been the one person they both chose not to actively look for. Their life had been great just as it was. Until Elijah saw her mark.
She tried to stop the spiral of thoughts that began to form. It was already too late to try to spare her heart the pain it was currently feeling. No matter how hard she tried to focus on helping Rebekah take care of him, one single thought played in her mind on a constant loop.
He knew they were soulmates and he tried pushing her away.
The moment Freya came running into the courtyard with Klaus and Kol behind her, Y/N pulled herself slowly away from the side of the couch. It was a way to not only keep the now unwanted attention of her facial expressions away but to give the necessary space Freya would need.
When she moved a little too far for Elijah’s liking, his hand grabbed a hold of hers. This time his grip was tighter in comparison to earlier. He was getting better, stronger. The venom from the wolf bites was leaving his system while the spell kept a tight hold over him.
Y/N's eyes met his one more time. She could tell he was pleading with her to stay there with his eyes. Almost to say that once Freya helped him he'd explain everything to her. That he needed her to stay there.
There was something in her eyes that changed a moment after his words had pierced the air. “Would you tell me if you saw the mark on someone else?”
“Of course.” He said even though it had been a lie. He knew he wasn’t going to speak of the very mark that was on his chest.
Her heart ached at the sudden memory that filled her mind. She wanted to break down. She wanted to run to get fresh air. Do anything that would allow her to process the information she had been given in the last few minutes.
Freya came over and knelt down beside Elijah, giving Y/N the chance to pull her hand away from Elijah. She took several back as she tried to decide if she wanted to stay or leave the area. But a heartbeat later she was mumbling some excuse and left the courtyard.
It was only when she was safely behind the door of her room, she felt more clarity than she had downstairs. The wave of emotions she felt calmed in comparison.  While silent tears had begun falling, it hadn't felt like her world had come crashing to a halt as it had.
"For as many times as I've come here to hide away, there's never been another person here." Y/N said as she took in the stranger. "Might have to find a new one if this one is compromised."
"I can assure you, I've known about this place for a lot longer than you." The stranger looked towards her. "I may have been out of the city for some time, but I will know more about the history than you ever will.”
A laugh passed her lips causing a smile to form on his lips. “What if I told you I watched that town in the distance be built?”
His eyebrow raised slightly before he looked towards the town she had been speaking of. “I’d then ask if you knew what was out there before the town was built.”
“A small village.“ She responded.  “One that was destroyed just a few years after I was born. There are stories of a creature that roamed the woods that surrounded that village. A creature that was hunted but never killed.” She shrugged her shoulders before looking back towards the stranger. “Though I’d love to hear what you have that can top that.”
He laughed for a moment before he placed his hand out between them. “I’m Elijah. And I assure you, I can surpass any story you’ve been told about the area.”
“That’s a challenge I’m willing to take.” She said as she placed her hand in his. “I'm Y/N.”
That year Y/N needed to get away from the life she had found herself in after being a vampire for a few centuries already. The mountaintop just above the town she was born in had always been her go to place to reevaluate her life as a human and as a vampire. That night, Y/N had been debating on watching the sunrise for the last time.
But Elijah had been there to pull her thoughts away from the sunrise and into a life that she had now thrived in. Elijah had been there when she needed him the most. Her soulmate had been the one to pull her back from the edge and she never knew it until now.
Elijah had saved her that night. He saved her and it wasn't long after he paid off a witch to create a daylight ring for her. A friendship shouldn't be had just in the dark. Those had been his words as he held up the daylight ring for her to take a few minutes before sunrise a few weeks later.
Her heart picked up in pace as her mind continued to accept everything that happened. The details of their meeting to this current moment made sense from a soulmate perspective. No matter how many times the flashes of memories played through her mind, there was no changing the facts.
"What if I don't want to marry my soulmate?" A young Y/N asked as she kicked her shoe at the dirt.
Her mother's laugh filled the air. "You don't always have to marry your soulmate. Sometimes it depends on what best suits the both of you. Your soulmate can be a best friend or even a lover. Sometimes they're both." She knelt down to Y/N's height. "There's one thing I know though. Having them in your life in any form is a whole lot better than not having them in your life or losing them. So when you are able to meet the person that knows your soul without needing to try hard, fight as hard as you can. Fight with them, for them and alongside them as needed." She ran her hand along Y/N’s cheek. "I know this doesn't make a lot of sense right now, but I promise one day you'll understand. "
The sound of the knock on her door followed by the door slowly opening had pulled her out of her thoughts and memories. Without even looking she had already known it was Elijah. She quickly wiped at her cheeks before she turned towards the door.
The moment she had, Elijah could see that the whirlwind of emotions he saw earlier in her eyes had shifted. Even as her eyes welled up, he could see the hurt along with acceptance. And if he was being honest with himself, the acceptance is what scared him.
He took a few steps further into her room before he came to a stop. "What I've done was-"
"Cowardice?" She finished for him before he got the chance to even form the next word. It made him raise his brow. "Because whatever reasoning you have for not telling me was the worst decision you have ever made. And I know there have been plenty of questionable decisions you've made."
"I know I should have told you that night." He gave a slight nod. "For a brief moment I wanted to. But then I realized the danger you would be in because of me."
She had already begun shaking her head before he finished speaking. "Danger that I haven't already been in from just being close with you. Or to your siblings for that matter." She watched as he opened his mouth to speak but she quickly continued to stop him. "I know it's not the same. Putting it out there makes it more real and practically puts a target on both of us. I know what that target looks like. That just means we'll be better prepared for it."
She knew from experience how easy it was to use a soulmate as leverage. How easy it was to threaten them to get someone to bend to their will. There was a dark decade in Y/N's existence where she had once toyed with humans and their soulmates. A time where her humanity had been switched and she hadn't cared.
She knew the tricks that could be played. She knew how much damage someone could take before they snapped. The emotional torment that could be played on both parties to get the point across was something she lived for during that dark decade.
At least that was until her humanity had been forcefully switched on. She tormented herself afterwards on how she could carelessly manipulate people by using the one weakness they all had. It was part of the reason she found herself heading back to the mountaintop.
"If today has taught me anything it's that you were safer without me near." He watched as her eyebrow raised before he continued. "While having you by my side would have been beneficial for many reasons, I watched as my worst fear played through my mind because of a spell. A spell that provided sufficient reasons on why I was right on my decision to not say anything."
"A spell that was used to distract you.” She noted. It explained why he had seemed so relieved at seeing her safe. "And a fear that we could have worked out beforehand if you simply had told me. I spent the last several hours wondering how and when I had become the problem. Part of me knew that you had found your soulmate and that was why you were pushing me away. That maybe you were trying to distance yourself from me to make room for them." Her eyes began to well up. "I just never thought you'd be pushing me away because I am your soulmate."
Elijah shook his head slightly as guilt filled him. He could see in that moment how hurt she had been by it. The emotions she had displayed when he first came into the room broke down bit by bit. And the thought that she believed she was the problem stung him in ways he never believed it would.
"I don't know if I can be what you need me to be." He said a moment later. "It has been proven time and again that whenever I let an ounce of happiness into my life, it's quickly taken away. I refuse to have the same thing happen to you. And if that means keeping you at a distance or even you leaving the city-"
"Nothing has to change!" She cut him off as she shook her head. "We have been by each other's side for over a century without even knowing we were soulmates. We have been through hell and back together without even questioning how it was possible. I have fought by your side not caring if I died in the process." She wiped at her cheeks as more tears escaped. "I will continuously be by your side even after this. I don't care if it is as something more or keeping things as it has been. But don't you dare for one moment think that I would be safer with you pushing me away or even deciding that it's better without you in my life."
He sighed softly before taking a few steps to close the distance between them. "If anything were to ever happen to you because of me, I'd never be able to forgive myself." His hand came up to her cheek before using his thumb to wipe away more of her tears.
"It's going to happen with or without you in my life." Her eyes met his. "I am no stranger to being threatened by your family. I have had Klaus's hand on my heart and I'm still here in front of you." She placed her hand on top of his as she leaned into his touch slightly.  A way to prove that she was there. "I am not even a stranger to having a witch use me as leverage or even used to fight against you. I can leave tonight and what's to stop anyone from coming after me once it's actually figured out?" She watched as he took in her words. "This isn't just one sided either. I am afraid of what each new threat could mean for you. I want and need you to be safe, maybe even for my own selfish reasons. But I will not let you push me away without at least fighting to stay. I will continue to be by your side no matter how much you push. I will stand there by your side and face the enemy with you and die there with you if it comes to it. I will continue to be your friend or more if that is what you need and you'll never have to worry that I'll leave you. But I will not let you try and push me out of your life for the fear of what could possibly happen to me just because you're afraid to let yourself be happy."
Elijah's eyes never left hers as she spoke. He couldn't bring himself to look away from her. Not when he was seeing everything play through her eyes. Every emotion, every piece of history and hopeful future had been displayed within them. And he could no longer ignore what he'd been trying to avoid.
He knew everything she said was right. He would hate himself if anything happened to her while she was gone. He couldn’t even begin to imagine how it would feel if he ever learned the news that something had happened to her. He couldn't ignore the fact that throughout the years and even now she was fighting for her place to stay no matter how hard he tried to keep her at bay and safe in his eyes.
The same safety that he had been trying to provide her since the night they met. How broken her eyes had looked from the moment she took a seat next to him on that mountain top. And how everything within him had told him to protect her from anything. Even himself if it ever came to it.
But as he looked into her eyes now, he could see the woman that had become his best friend.  The woman that stood there beside him as threat after threat came. How she cared for him in his moments of need even though he fought her on it. The one person he couldn’t go more than a few days without speaking with. It was why the thought of losing her scared him even more than he ever believed.
After a moment, Elijah nodded his head. “I give you my word that I will not push you away or ask you to leave.” His thumb gently moved along her cheek. He watched as something changed within her eyes. “I don't believe I could actually watch you leave, let alone be alone out there in the world. Nor can I picture a day where you are not in my life in some form or another. You have your selfish reasons and I have mine. But I have never wished for you to look so hurt as you have today and I will spend as much time as needed to make up for it. ” He looked elsewhere for a moment before looking back at her. “I just don’t know how things will change from here.”
The part of Y/N’s heart that expected the worst had felt relief. Relief that he wasn’t going to continue to push her away. Relief that he was willing to accept that they were soulmates and that she wasn’t going to go down or leave without a fight. And if anything, there was a small tug of a smile at her lips at his words.
“We continue as friends, just as we have.” She offered. “If in the future things change, we’ll go from there.”
A hum of agreement passed his lips as he pulled his hand away from her. As he did, He maneuvered his hand to take a hold of her’s, finding comfort in just holding her hand within his. Her offer of nothing needing to change played in his ears.
There was something within him that agreed with that. Mixed within the agreement was the hope that things would change for the better. But for now this was a step in the right direction. A step that meant he wasn’t going to push her away as he had planned to. It was in a direction that he strongly believed he’d never lose her in the way that he feared.
“We’ll handle things as we always have.” He nodded his head, a small smile pulling at his lips.
“Together?” She asked as a small hopeful smile pulled at her lips.
She could joke about how they would work together as she always had in the past. She could have added in how reckless they could be. How the calm and chaosbetween them would keep things interesting. But at that moment, she only needed the confirmation that it would continually be them against everything else that came at them.
“Together.” He promised with no intention of ever breaking that promise. Even when the world learned of the mark they share, he’d keep his promise and keep each other close to their sides. As a friend, as a potential lover, but most importantly as soulmates that would never have to live without the other.

Elijah Mikaelson loves black women.
He loves their curly hair, he loves the different shades of brown of their eyes, he loves their dark lips and skin. He loves the way they go through life with a compassion and kindness that others don’t seem to have.
He loves when they call him “sugar” or “baby”. He loves when they feed him, he especially loves when they feed him. And since he’s returned to New Orleans he’s been very well fed by the city’s variety of restaurants.
He loves when he lays down on a silk pillow case and there’s you scratching his scalp and kissing his forehead. He loves when you get your nails done and show him excitedly. He loves when you tell him all about your favorite singers, how you like someone named Lil Wayne because he’s also from NOLA. He loves when you and your friends need a ride to the club and he gets to dance with you all night.
He loves when you try different lip glosses, with a dark brown lip liner that reminds him of brownies. He loves when it’s Summer, and you guys go to the pool. He’ll sit on the side, watching you tan (slightly amazed that you sparkle in the sun) and how you take care to slather him with sun screen even though he’s sure he doesn’t really need it.
He loves how you spend hours scrolling through Pinterest for different hair styles and show him. When you send him to the store because you’re still at classes and you can’t really just walk out of a lecture like “sorry sir, I’m braiding my hair after class so I’m just gonna take off early” so he gets to go.
He browses the aisles of products. The gels, the brushes, the oils, the bottles and body lotions. He never knew there could be so many different types of brushes. Even the wigs he’s enamored by, and he’ll admit there are a few particularly nice ones he’d kill to see you in.
When he goes to check out after selecting a thousand extra things he felt like he just wanted you to have and the bill comes out he doesn’t even worry a bout the price and just hands over the cash without even worrying about change.
He loves, loves the different things you can do with your hair too. He loves the different styles, the colors, how each thing you do helps it grow. Don’t even let him get started on when you have your natural hair out and free. He doesn’t even mind finding bits of your hair in his suit jackets or on the bathroom sink if you forgot to pick it up that morning.
He loves the niche things you do, that can only be explained as “a black people thing”. How you go through life with a sense of style that can only be found in certain areas. He loves how you laugh, smile, how you growl at him with anger when you get hangry or you see something stupid, how you carry yourself.
Elijah doesn’t particularly just love black women. He particularly loves you.

I’d be lying if I said I knew what this was. I was watching the Originals and just realized he’s always laid up with a black woman. Anyways that’s my man guys 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

You perfect the practiced smile you’ve been working on for weeks. It should be easy for you by now– it should come naturally. Everything about this day shouldn’t feel as forced as it does, and yet, on what was meant to be the happiest day of your life, you could only feel the apprehensive dread pooling in your gut.
The heirloom gown from your soon to be mother-in-law feels heavier than it should, almost suffocating, magnifying the doubts consuming your mind. This was supposed to be the genesis of your new life, the start of your would-be happily ever after. Yet, that menacing fear of regret whittles away at any persuasion you used to get yourself to this moment. You were so sure this is what you wanted. The venue, the menu, the flowers, the seating– all meticulously chosen for this day. But with the weight of vows looming in the horizon, the word “mistake” seems to have made a home in your mind. Were you really prepared to commit yourself to a lifetime with this man?
He was good and pure-hearted– kind, caring, and devoted. He treasured you, loving you in a way that you could never fully reciprocate. You do have an affinity for the man waiting for you at the end of the aisle and you know he could give you a stable and contented life. Yet, the allure of the security his last name would bring pales when you reflect on the life you are now trying to shed.
Memories intricately woven with passion and adventure. Each day an unpredictable surprise filled with experiences that reshaped the person you once were. The encompassing romance that breathed new meaning to your life, sparking a deeper fulfillment as you were pushed beyond your familiar boundaries. A chapter of your life where your heart had found its rhythm. And despite the inevitable challenges, especially given his past, you were unwavering in facing them with him, and your life was richer for it.
That danger of living on the edge wasn’t something you realized you craved until it was suddenly taken away. But that was not a sustainable life, you remind yourself as you latch on to a new flaw in your appearance to occupy your mind.
Your groom is safe— a predictable and reliable anchor in life. A mundane routine you can easily fall into. He promises stability and security, granting you a solid foundation for your future. Which is why you convinced yourself to marry him. It wouldn’t be the life of fantasy that you longed for, but you would be content.
“Hello, love.”
Everything within you stills at the sound of the ghost of your past. Your eyes travel the expanse of the mirror, landing on the reflection of his figure propped against the doorframe of your bridal suite– emulating the way he used to watch you get ready.
“Your beauty is nothing short of breathtaking.”
“What are you doing here?” the words a mere whisper as they are pushed through your constricted throat. You force yourself to stare fixedly through the mirror, resisting the urge to turn around. Because if you do, if you physically lay your eyes on him, it would shatter all the progress you have made the past three years. And you're determined not to grant him the satisfaction and reward of rejoicing his return as if his actions did not hurt you.
“I’ve heard about your impending nuptials. I couldn’t possibly miss your big day.”
You laugh, a hollow sound. After all this time, the man you spent years waiting by the door for has finally returned, just as you've made the decision to move on. Bitterness saturates you at the audacity of this man to appear today of all days, wearing that brazen grin. Did he truly believe he could waltz back into your life after everything?
“Why? So you can stop me from ridding myself of you. Starting over and actually having a shot at happiness.”
Your voice is sharp– venom drips from every word, aiming to puncture another layer deeper into his calloused over heart. His jaw ticks, the only indication you hit your target.
“I like to think you were quite happy with me, love.”
You scoff, a pathetic attempt to dismiss the validity of his words. Your gaze returns to your own reflection, beginning to readjust the lacey veil pinned to your head, needing a distraction from the man who has an incomprehensible hold on you.
“Why are you really here, Klaus?” his name falling from your lips as if your tongue had been molded to say it, “You didn’t come back to town just to watch me get married.”
He steps into the room– reflection growing as he steps closer to you.
“I’ve come to wish you luck,” you watch as his turquoise eyes trail your frame before returning to your gaze in the mirror, “Though I can’t help but wish you were wearing that dress for me.”
Something inside you breaks, setting free a torrent of long-suppressed emotions that had been brewing beneath the surface.
“You threw that away 7 years ago when you left me. I waited for you. For 4 years, I waited for you to come back like an idiot because you promised your heart to me and I was dumb enough to fall for it. And now, once I’ve finally picked up the pieces and I’m ready to start again, you want to come back and take that away from me!”
“I left to protect you!”
“No, Klaus! You left because you were afraid. Because for once somebody actually meant something to you and you couldn’t handle the responsibility of that reality. Because, in spite of all my best efforts, you have it solidified in that warped brain of yours that you are incapable of being loved. That no one could ever truly want to be with you. So what do you do? You run. You push people away to avoid your biggest fear and end up becoming your own self-fulfilling prophecy. Well guess what, Klaus? It worked. You’re alone now.”
You turn your back on the Mikaelson, finally ready to give yourself over to your groom. You open your mouth to dismiss the hybrid, but the words die on your tongue as your eyes meet his. His reflection reveals the glistening of tears brimming in his eyes, on the verge of spilling over, but you know Klaus Mikaelson is too prideful to ever let you see him cry. Yet, the thought of it stills you. You take in the sight of him—his clenched fists, his labored breathing—and for the first time, you truly see him. You see the vulnerability beneath the facade, the depth of his struggle, and it stops you in your tracks.
The wounded boy who only sought his father's approval and his mother's affection. The scars etched deep into his soul, born from the torment of being a bastard cruelly shunned. The millennia of isolating loneliness that followed—an inhumane punishment for another's sin. Beyond that, you witness the fresh wounds your words have inflicted, reopening the scars you had fought so hard to help him heal. Your vengeful words have confirmed his lifelong fear. Here stands a man who has finally gained everything he ever desired, only to realize he is on the brink of losing it all. It moves you, the sight of his insecurities laid bare just for you
"Say it. Tell me you no longer love me, and I will walk away. I will leave you to marry this man, and you will never hear from me again. I will do that for you. But if there is any part of you that still cares, leave with me. Give me another chance."
You stare at the hybrid, conflict brewing within you. You desperately want to believe him—God knows you do—but if he walks away from you again, your heart couldn't endure another shattering. You glance at your reflection in the mirror, adorned in the gown of a woman whose son you could only truly tolerate.
Is that really the life you want to live?
You return your gaze to the Mikaelson, stunned by the single tear rolling down his cheek—his ultimate vulnerability. This simple, profound act compels you to accept what you've always known deep down. You can never truly walk away from this man. You love him too much.

Day Twelve: Stefan Salvatore + Somnophilia
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You really tired to stay awake for Stefan, but he was taking to long, and the longer you waited the harder it was to stay awake. The hot summe air around you made sleeping in the hold Salvatore house hard sometimes. You tired to get cool, but the air wasn't moving much, and so you decided to strip down naked.
It wasn't like Stefan hadn't seen you naked before. It was unlike Stefan to stay out late, and not at least call you to you he'd be coming home soon.
Sleep took you quickly. The days efforts to help at the local bakery, and also do some paperwork. Left you feeling worn out, and tired. Sleep took you, and you dreamed of the cold spot next to you being filled with a handsome man. One that smelt of whiskey, and fresh pine. You dreamt of his hands in your hair, and his lips on your body.
Your dreams melted into real life. as your felt the wet feeling between your legs. You hummed as you felt a wet tongue lick a long, and slow strip up your dripping pussy.
Nothing felt better then that, but you still thouhgt you were dreaming. Hands gripping at your thighs, blunt nails leaving half cresents shapes in your skin. You moaned at the sensation.
"Oh fuck!" Your breathy moans fell from your lips, and right into the air. Harder pulls on your tighs as you tired to get away from the over stimulation of the feeling between your legs. "Stefan! FUCK please…" You begged in your sleep.
Until you heard the gruttle moan of Stefan between your legs. Your eyes shot open, "Stefan! What? OH fuck." You muttered as he contineud to tease your clit with his tongue, and sucked on it. Hands falling into his hair, and desperatly trying to pull his lip away from you.
"Nah, missy I wanna taste you." He whispered into your thighs. Kissing you getnly, before diving back in. "Please… I'ma…" You eyes rolled into the back of your head as Stefan added a finger into your dripping pussy. Thrusting slowly. Keeping you right on the edge. "What was that baby girl?" He said teasingly. "Please, Stefan no no teasing." You mumbled as he added another finger. Streching you out further.
Sloppy, wet nosies hitting your ear. Stefan's tongue lapping at your clit. Your hand falling to his hair once again. "Oh, fuck… Stefan don't, please don't stop." He continued to thurst his fingers, at a pace with no mercy. "Never would dream of it Y/n." He whispered into your thighs.
Your vision went white, and your voice became hoarse as you screamed his name out for all of Mystic falls to hear. Stefan helped you through your high. A soft hand rubbing circles into your skin.
He climbed up your body. Kissing at every spot of exposed skin. "I'm sorry I'm late." He mumured into your ear. "It's kay." Your said really unable to form words. He kissed you gently, and climbed next to you under the sheet.

“Who is that clown?” Damon asked Alaric from his seat at the bar, nodding toward you and some guy sitting at booth, a little too close for his liking.
Alaric twists the stool, shrugging, “Don’t know,” he twists it back to the bar, sipping on his bourbon, “new guy?”
He narrows eyes at the two of you, “Never seen him around here. Maybe I should go introduce myself.”
Alaric grabs his shoulder, as he steps off the stool, “You’re already on thin ice with her. I wouldn’t.”
Damon gives him his signature smile, “When am I never on thin ice with her?” He shakes off Alaric’s hand and struts on over to your booth.
You roll your eyes as you see him approach, sliding away from your date, “Damon.”
“y/n.” He gives you a quick smile and then turns to your date, “And you are?” He places an intimating hand on his shoulder, giving it a tight squeeze.
“u-uh Luke-”
“Damon, don’t you have somewhere else to be? I don’t know, drowning in a bottle full of bourbon? Instead of bothering me and my date.”
You place a hand on your dates arm, “sorry about him-he’s just that annoying itch you can’t get rid of.” You smile, “What were you saying?”
Luke glances up at Damon, “Is he like your brother or something?”
“No-”
“No, I’m just her handsome and very sexy ex she can’t get rid of.”
You roll your eyes, “We dated for maybe a week. If that.”
“best week of your life if I remember correctly,” Damon says.
“you know I think it would be best if I go-” Luke starts to slide out of the booth.
You put a hand on his arm stopping him, “No it’s fine, you don’t have to go.”
“I think that would be a GREAT idea.” Damon grins, stepping away so he can exit the booth, an arm toward the door.
Luke is intimated, hurrying out of the restaurant. He doesn’t even stop to look back.
“Damn it Damon!” You huff, gathering your stuff. “What the hell is wrong with you?” You start to slide out the booth and when you stand, Damon steps in front of you so you’re chest to chest.
His smell is intoxicating. It takes you back to the week you two did date. There wasn’t a moment the two of you weren’t touching on each other. It ended in a fight because he wouldn’t admit his true feelings for you. Throughout the week together, he’d made you feel special but once you began talking more serious, it was like he got spooked. He turned everything around, making you believe the week was a temporary thing, never would be serious and you two would only go as far as messing around. It broke your heart because you saw a different Damon that week. You’d fallen in love with him and fallen hard. Your opened up to Damon, let him in and then to find out he didn’t feel the same? It destroyed you.
“Oh come on, he was a loser. He wasn’t your type. A blonde accountant working a 9-5? He was pathetic. He probably couldn’t even figure out how to get your bra off-”
“He was a nice guy!” You defend, “He was kind. Thoughtful. He was willing to be in a serious relationship. The absolute opposite of you.” You push past him, heading toward the exit of the bar.
Damon watches as you leave, a content smile on his face. He’d won this time. Again.
“Why can’t you you admit you love her?” Alaric asks, “instead of ruining every relationship she’s in.”
Damon glares at Alaric, narrowing his eyes, “I’ll kill you. Again.”
Alaric rolls his eyes, “Grow up Damon. She’s not going to be around for forever. She’s eventually going to grow tired of Mystic Falls, grow tired of you being around and move away. Especially if you keep ruining every relationship she’s in.”  He gives his shoulder a rough squeeze, before heading back to the bar, leaving Damon with his thoughts.
(listened to All I Need by Within Temptation while I wrote this. feeling all the emotions)
You angrily wipe at the tears rolling down your cheeks. Why did he have to be this way? He was the one who didn’t feel the same way as you. He was the one who ruined the relationship with you and now it seems like he’s made it his personal mission to ruin your life and any chance of happiness.
Damon stalks you from the shadows, watching you walk to your car. Maybe Alaric was right. He couldn’t keep doing this. He could see it was hurting you. And for what reason? Because he was too chicken to admit he loved you?
You slammed your car door and placed your forehead against the steering wheel, letting the emotions take over; your body shook with the sobs.
He clinched his eyes as in pain as he heard your sobs. He couldn’t let this go on any longer. You needed to know the truth.
You jumped and clutched a hand to your chest when someone knocked on the window, “Jesus Christ Damon! You scared the shit out of me!”
“Open the door.” He tugs on the handle.
“Just leave me alone,” you plead wiping at your eyes, “I can’t do this anymore.”
“Y/n, please,” he begs, “open the door.”
You do as he asks and open the door. He holds out his hand for you, “what?”
“Take my damn hand.”
You reluctantly take it, stepping out of the car. “Damon seriously, I really don’t have the energy to deal with whatever you’ve got-
His large hands cup your cheeks forcing your eyes to meet his, “I love you. Ok?” He pauses for a moment, his thumb subconsciously caressing your cheek, “I was scared to admit it. It scared me to feel such.. love for you. The last time this happened I was left with my heart broken. I didn’t want it to happen again. My heart burns for you-” his eyes are full of desperation as they stare down at you, “I can’t imagine living this life without you.” He uses one hand to clutch at his chest, “it physically pains me to not be near you. To know all I’ve done is hurt you and for my own selfish reasons. Because I was too scared to admit the truth.”
There’s a heavy silence between you. He can hear your heart racing.
Your small hand reaches up to cup his face and he leans into your touch, desperate for it.
Another tense moment passes and in the heat of passion, your fingers are laced in his dark brown locks, crashing your lips against his.

STRANGER DANGER!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: klaus mikaelson x fem!reader
summary: it seems your friends had forgotten to divulge the fact that a big bad hybrid had made his way into town after your return.
warnings: none really, classic klaus flirting
a/n: hehe my first tvd fic - set to the end of s2
it was all the same to you.
nothing had changed, not that you’d expected it to. it’d only been a year. you were currently on your way to the grill unaware of the eyes currently on you.
“and who might you be love?” you were met with a man, a charming one to be exact. “y/n, and you are?” youd turned around to keep walking as you heard him walk behind you, then at your side, “klaus, nice to meet you. where are you off to?” your head seemed to remember that name, but you couldn’t place it. “grill to meet some friends, you?”
he smiled, “i have a feeling we might just be there for the same people.” you shook your head, “no offence mate, but you look a bit old to be hanging out with teens.” klaus feigned shock, a hand on his chest as you giggled, “do i really look that old to you love?” you shoved his shoulder, “yeah, what are you? a thousand.” he laughed at your correct guess. “that’s exactly what i am.”
you stopped in your tracks, “the vampire?” your voice was no louder than a whisper yet of course he heard it, “the one and only.” you began to walk with him again, “yknow you don’t seem all that bad klaus.” he opened the door as the two of you walked in, “i assure you y/n, i am as bad as you can get.”
“klaus.” damon sneered as klaus waved, “ah my least favourite salvatore.” you laughed at the joke but stopped on account of damon’s expression. “now this is where i leave you y/n. i look forward to seeing you again.” damon laughed, “no, you won’t.” you turned back to him, “it was nice to meet you!” you waved before making your way to caroline.
and for some reason your bubbly demeanour stuck with klaus, maybe he’d take you along on his trip with stefan.

Hello! I saw that you write for TVD so I wonder if I can get a Damon x witch!poc fem reader, in which she, deferential to everyone who only expects the worst from him, sees something good in him, which is why she always chooses him and defends him (only Damon receiving all the love and care he deserves) please? With lots of fluffy and angst
thank you <333

damon salvatore x witch!poc fem reader
summary; you were not blind to everyone's aggression and faults, so why was everyone blind to everything but Damon's?
a note that this is not set anywhere specific in timeline - alsooo... minor Elena hate? She's such a villain to me.

The living room of the boarding house had been destroyed, couch flipped and table turned to scrap by Stefan's outburst. He had stormed out quickly afterward, but not before telling both Elena and Damon that they had made him this way.
You stood near the entrance to the room, the magic in your veins humming as it begged to be released on the retreating, erratic vampire. He had been binging on human blood for so long now, you weren't sure he would ever go back to the mild mannered man you had first met all those years ago. No matter what scheme Elena and Damon concocted in their desperate attempt to save him.
"This is all your fault." Elena's voice wavered, but it was full of venom. Your eyes snapped to find her but she was locked on the eldest Salvatore. "You did this to him."
Damon shook his head, confusion marring his face. "Elena, you know that I've been trying-"
"If you had just cleaned up your act a bit sooner, Damon!" She was angrily gathering her things now, getting ready to storm out after her equally as volatile ex. "He wouldn't be this way if you hadn't influenced him."
Your eyes were only on Damon then, you could see the tell-tale clench of his jaw from across the room. The way his fingers flexed. He was upset, because he cared, but he would lash out because he didn't know how else to stand up for himself.
"That's not very fair, Elena. Stefan is his own person. Damon didn't make him do anything." Your voice was firm as you took the single step down into the living room, inching closer to Damon. Trying to let him know he wasn't alone.
Elena's eyes narrowed, a disbelieving smile gracing her face. "Are you really defending him right now?"
"Yes." No hesitation. "I am." You could feel his gaze burning a hole in your back while you stood like a human shield between him and the Gilbert. "I understand you're upset, we're all worried about Stefan. But it isn't fair to blame everything on Damon."
Her scoff would bother you for the next week. "Whatever you say." And with that she left.
The nervousness was settling in your chest when you finally turned to Damon, offering him a small smile. "Sorry about that."
His eyes searched yours for just a second before he turned around and walked upstairs silently.
●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●
"Damon, you're bleeding." You noticed the blood literally pouring from his abdomen when he peeled himself away from you, having shielded you from the explosion that just rocked the gym of the high school. You vaguely noticed your friends pulling themselves to their feet around you, Caroline and Stefan arguing with each other over something. You didn't notice Elena storming over.
Everyone else's yelling voices faded away when you looked up to meet his gaze, noticing his eyes flickering over your dark skin, checking you for any injuries of your own.
You reached a hand out to heal him. You knew he would heal eventually, but it was the least you could do since he most definitely got injured shielding you. You didn't know what was going on with you and Damon lately, but just the thought of him bleeding made you nauseous.
Before your hand could make contact he was yanked away from you, a barely perceptible wince coming from him at the movement. You were angry before you even decided to be.
"How could you not warn us?" Elena's voice was shrill against the pounding in your head from the boom that happened moments ago. You couldn't help but noticed she didn't have a scratch on her but didn't hesitate to hit Damon right in the chest.
"Elena." You stepped forward to wedge yourself between them, not wanting Damon to take the matter into his own hands but not allowing Elena to put a hand on him. Vampire or not.
Everyone was staring now.
"No! Don't Elena me. He full knew that this group of vampires had ex military with them. A warning about potential bombs would have been nice!"
You tried hard to put a cap on your frustration. "Why would he willingly walk into somewhere that could blow him to pieces? Pretty sure there's no coming back from that. Even for a vampire."
Elena seemed to debate her reply for a moment, gaze going from the rigid vampire behind you to your own eyes. "One day, he's going to hurt you so bad, you won't care about his feelings anymore." She left with that, Stefan and Caroline in tow. Caroline was the only one who cast a haphazard glance back at you.
"Thank you." His voice was quiet, and your shock was loud.
"Of course."
●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●
"Can you believe him?" You winced as Elena's angry voice sounded after the slam of the front door. You and Caroline had beat her to her own home after the showdown at the grill, hoping to clean up the broken glass you knew was waiting for her.
"I mean, what else do we expect?" Bonnie's reply was sardonic when they both rounded the corner, spying the other women in the kitchen.
"Damon is the most selfish, disgusting idiot that I have ever had the misfortune of knowing." Elena's tone was final as she slammed her purse down on the kitchen counter, pulling up one of the stools to plop into.
You tried to ignore that angry twinge that always started in your chest whenever people set their crosshairs on the older Salvatore. He seemed to be everyone's resident punching bag, despite the recent uncovered issues Stefan also harbored.
"I still say we should get rid of him." Caroline sounded chipper at the idea she presented, ready to have his head on a pike.
That was most definitely all that you could take. The glass you had been cleaning was roughly thrown into the trash can. "So we're going to get rid of Stefan too, right? Cut out the evil right at its root. Maybe Tyler too."
Her friends looked taken aback, each ones eyebrows pulling together while they stole glances at each other.
"Are you okay?" Bonnie was hesitant in her question, her caramel colored eyes focusing on your own.
"I'm fine, Bon. But it doesn't seem like you guys are. For the last year, all I have heard is how Damon is the bane of everyone's existence. How he's evil. How is what happened tonight his fault? Do you blame him for trying to save his mother? You surely wouldn't fault Stefan for doing the same. How can you make him the villain if you wouldn't hesitate to do what he does? If you were put in the same position?" You gripped the kitchen counter, willing your magic to calm from the swirling mess inside of your stomach.
"You can't mean that. He's done terrible things." Elena argued, arms crossing over her chest.
"So have you. So have I. But he's also done amazing things, Elena. He's sacrificed himself time and time again to try and win some kind of favor with you people but you've done nothing but take him for granted, and then demonize him even more when he dares to let your treatment of him hurt his feelings." By the end of your statement, you had your purse hanging off your arm and you were shoving past Bonnie to get out the door.
"Where the hell are you going?" Caroline questioned.
"To go make sure Damon's okay."
●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●●~●~●~●~●
You were pretty sure you knew where you were going to find him. Since The Grill was out of commission due to the commotion early in the night, he was definitely drinking at home. That's where you came upon him, sprawled out on the couch in the living room of his home, tumbler of amber liquid dangling from his fingers.
"Shouldn't you be plotting my demise with the Scooby Gang?" The defeat in his voice nearly made you halt, a sadness pulling at the back of your eyes. This man had no venom to him, only defeat.
You came around the couch and gently moved his legs to the ground, taking the seat you just cleared. Those clever blue eyes tracked your movements, something foreign shaded in them.
"I know you don't usually want to, but do you want to talk about tonight? It wasn't an easy decision to make, Damon." You tried to sound understanding without being placating, fearing him holding up behind those walls he so loved to build.
"It wasn't a difficult decision. She had to die. So she did." You would've believed his cold mask if you hadn't heard the cracking in his voice.
You sighed a bit, daring to reach a hand out to rest on his knee. His gaze snapped to yours quickly, hardening slowly like water in winter. "You don't deserve to feel like the villain, Damon. You're put in impossible positions to make terrible decisions, and then shunned for them. Please don't let their hatefulness make you feel any less than you are."
You thought he was going to quip back at you at first, a sardonic smirk on his face - but it dropped quickly, and his voice was almost a breath when he asked his question. "Why do you keep defending me?"
A million answers floated through your mind, because there were so many. But you felt like there was only one that would suffice right now. "Because I care about you."
His lips found yours quickly, fitting together like the last pieces of a puzzle.

Request: Love Fool!
@catmikaelson20 asked: hello could you make a yandere Klaus Mikaelson soft, quite romantic.
Tumblr media
Klaus Mikaelson. The Original Hybrid. The man who believes that love is nothing but their greatest weakness… who swore to himself he would never allow himself to have that weakness, is now realising that maybe it is not his choice. There was nothing that could prepare him for Y/N. His Y/N! The fact is there has never been anything or anyone he wants more than he wants Y/N… not even his Hybrids. It was her that made him see that maybe love could be as much of a strength as it could be a weakness. All he knows is that he needs her and wants her, even if she doesn’t know it at this moment she will be his and no one will ever stand in his way or stop him! To Y/N, Klaus is nothing but charming. It seems he always knows how to make her smile with little to no effort. It was the small things like giving her a flower, or the small drawings and sketches he would give her. Those were her favourite gifts from him, as much as she loves the fancy gifts that he seems to shower her with, those aren’t the ones she loves the most. But, she shows her appreciation by at least wearing them. Her favourite being a beautiful Diamond Bracelet that Klaus told her that he had stolen from a Princess. Klaus loves to spoil Y/N and it amuses his siblings greatly, the moment that his siblings realised he would do anything for Y/N and just how deep he was in love with her was when Klaus return home pouting and apologised to his siblings for his misgivings about love, but also his treatment towards them.
The Mystic Gang on the other hand thought that Klaus had an obsession with Caroline Forbes, but they have another thing coming with the level and the length he will go just to make Y/N smile. Let alone what he would do to sweep her off her feet. The funny thing is that Klaus didn’t even notice in the beginning, he just thought he fancied her and it was nothing more or less than lust. However, the more time went on the more he was willing to accept that it wasn’t just a passing crush but more… with this his obsession over Y/N begins to grow. However, the thing is it’s not just an obsession, it also his possessiveness over her. He becomes possessive over her time and attention.
Klaus despises Damon and Stefan, but what he loathes is when he sees them around his Y/N… his girl and what makes it worse is that he knows that the Salvatore’s and the Mystic Gang are trying to keep him away from her and that was something he will never allow. He would do anything and everything to those who try to keep him from what is his. His siblings had learnt that the hard way, they had been on the end of those silver daggers one too many times for trying to interfere with Klaus’ obsession to break the curse, but all of them could see this was a whole new level of obsession that even they had never seen. It scared them, because they knew if they tried to interfere it wouldn’t be a dagger to the heart Klaus might possibly look for something a little more permanent. But, also this level of obsession from him made them a little uncomfortable.
Klaus was sat thinking about when he first saw Y/N, it was at the Mystic Grill and it was the way she smiled at him that was the thing that drew him in. There was no hatred in her eyes or annoyance at him, a look that was always present in Carolines eyes. It didn’t matter how attracted to him Caroline was, it was clear she couldn’t look past his many indiscretions. Not that he could blame her, but this was something else. He knew that everyone had warned her about him and who he is and all the awful things he had done, but it was clear she didn’t listen to them… it would only be later when he asked her why she didn’t hate him at the beginning when her friends warned her about him, that she would tell him that she likes to form her own opinion on people.
Klaus swirled his drink in his glass as he thought about another memory with his precious Y/N. She had always found him interesting and she loved to talk to him and learn more about him and the lives that he had lived. She wanted to know more about the time periods and if what was said in the history books true and who better to ask than someone who had lived it. Sometimes she would talk to Elijah about it too, she would be curled into Klaus’ side seeking warmth as she would talk with his siblings. Even if her attention wasn’t on him, it would always make him smile because she would be playing with his fingers, or tracing patterns on his arm unconsciously. “Nik tell me more about the 20s.” Y/N had a dreamy look in her eyes it was the look he knew well. He wished he could take her back in time and show her the world. “It was magical and you would’ve loved it. Everything was off limits and it just made it all the more fun.” Klaus grinned at her making Y/N giggle a little. “Girls in flappers dresses dancing until they couldn’t walk, the booze and singing. I only wish you were there in Chicago in the 20s.” “I wish so too. Though I don’t think I would be having much fun with the Ripper.” Y/N snorted softly, making Klaus chuckle at her words.
As the memory fades, so does his smile. He thought back to what had just happened early that day. Y/N was out and about running errands. She had been living with him, but she still had to move the last of her things in and she refused to let him help her much to his annoyance. Klaus had tried to call her, but she didn’t pick up and that was very unlike her and it raised some warning sirens in his head and it was when the message came through that he began to see red.
Hey, Elena, Damon and Stefan aren’t letting me go. They think that you are compelling me and that you are in love with Caroline and are just using me to get to her. I know that isn’t true, but they are refusing to let me leave. I’m so sorry. Xxx
Klaus was fuming and raced out of the Manor and speed straight to the Salvatore residence bursting through the door to see the woman he loves, his Y/N in the hands of the incompetent Bennet Witch with the gang all standing around a ferocious snarl leaves his lips. Speeding around the room at a speed that none of them had ever seen before Klaus snapped the vampires necks and knocked out the humans harshly, not truly caring about the damage that he had done to them. Klaus decided it was time to make a call and called for both Elijah and Rebekah. “I need you to bring back the Salvatore’s, the Gilbert’s and the Bennett Witch back to the Manor and hang them in the dungeons.” Klaus snarled, but quickly moved over to his love and his siblings watched him as he moved some hair out of her face and stroked her cheek. “I will fix whatever that witch bitch did to you my love.” Klaus had put her in his bed and got the remaining of his Hybrids to bring the rest of her things back to the Manor, he wasn’t going to risk anything else happening to her and then after this he was going to talk to her about her thoughts on immortality and spending the rest of eternity and beyond with him. When he got to the top of the stairs that led down to the basement, where his torture dungeon was he was met by his siblings. “What are you going to do?” Rebekah looked at her brother unsure. She may not like any of the Save Elena Squad, but she wasn’t sure they deserve the wrath of her brother. After all, they thought they were saving their friend from the wicked Hybrids control. “I am going to teach them what happens when they try and take what is mine from me.” Klaus’ eyes darken and Rebekah took a step back, it was the look he would get before he would dagger one of them. Klaus took pleasure in the screams he drew out from them. There screams and begging made him smile, this was there reminded to not touch his Y/N and it was a lesson for them to learn what happens when you try to hurt or take what is his.
“Nik?” Y/N’s voice pulls him out of his memories as his head snaps to where she had been sleeping curled on his bed. A sigh of relief leaves his lips and he speeds over to her holding her face in his hands. “I was so worried.” Klaus murmured softly. “I’m sorry. Elena asked to see me and I thought she wanted to catch up and then it became this massive thing and they were saying all these horrible things about you Nik.” Y/N said quickly tears filling her eyes. “But, before I could do anything Bonnie came in and it all went blank.” “Do worry my love, they will never hurt you again. You are safe with me.” Klaus said climbing into bed next to her and pulling her close feeling her relax against him. What she didn’t know won’t hurt her, they wouldn’t be able to tell her what he had done to them because of their actions and Klaus would never tell her the lengths he would go for her. “Let’s just stay here for today and watch some films and cuddle.” Klaus smiles as she nods and places a loving kiss on her forehead.

It was something you knew he'd enjoy, a dress you'd chosen specifically to please the man you were practically praying would arrive as you fingered the jewels of the fancy necklace around your neck. It was heavy, thoroughly bedazzled and way too expensive for anything you could ever afford. A gift from the gentleman himself.
Many faces were shrouded from view by masks of simple and extravagant designs of all kinds. Yours, like your necklace, was worth its weight in gold and more; another gift. Flitting through the party, grins and smirks were sent your way from men and women alike. Some were admiring, some hungry, others were strewn onto faces out of envy.
That envy would grow when they find who was coupled with this goddess in purple and gold. You spotted him at the center of the mezzanine, looking down at all the guests like he was the king of his own personal kingdom through the eyes of his mask, one that paired with your own. The look in his eyes certainly conveyed that superiority, lighting a match that lived in the pit of your stomach and between your thighs as you stared up at him with an adoring gaze.
He had already been watching you, a dark hunger taking you in. You made your way toward him, stepping up each marble stair to reach this man who decked you out like a queen. He was reaching out for your hand before you reached the top step, taking it and bending down to place a kiss to the back of your palm. “My dear,” he greeted affectionately.
Goosebumps shivered up your arm and into your bloodstream. Your body threatened to follow suit as you watched him handle you with such…care. “Elijah,” you responded.
“Would you care to dance?” He straightened his back, even took a small step closer and eliminated the personal space that had already been demolished the first moment you saw this adonis of a man.
You breathed a quiet breath at his question, “A gentleman, as always.” As always. You said it as though you’d known him for more than simply a week. In truth, Elijah was a fling. You’d met him a week prior, caught up in all of his grace and eloquence as he swept you across the dance floor of the extended masquerade ball and then into his arms to take you to bed.
It wasn’t normally like you, to be so taken by some stranger enough to sleep with him that same night. And then to sleep with him the next night, and the night after that, and so on, and so forth. But there was something about Elijah, something so captivating that you could not quite place.
As he swept you to the dance floor for yet another seductive venture across the marble, you accepted with little more than a simple nod.
And then, when he pressed you against a wall in a darkened nook in the large mansion of a home, you gasped into the unusually warm air of the late autumn night as his hot lips pressed to the heated skin of your chest and he devoured you.
Last night was supposed to be the last time, and the night before that, and the night before that. He was like some drug that you had all too quickly become addicted to—and with a face like that, how could you not?
You knew you shouldn't. At the very least, you should try not to. It was not as though he was the perfect man. No, your perfect man would still be there when you woke in the morning with aching limbs, a souvenir, and cold sheets that barely held enough warmth to convince you his departure was recent.
Your perfect man would not grant you a collection of late nights full of pleasure and desire ending alone in the morning with a handwritten note and a new little gift.
Or, perhaps, he was doing you a service. Showing you how impermanent this arrangement was—how impermanent it should be. If only you would listen, take his flight for what it was: a warning.
But as his warm lips slotted perfectly against the column of your throat, leaving you gasping and clawing at his strong arms, you knew once again that your lesson was not learned. He dipped down and secured your leg in his steel grip, brushing it up his side to rest along his hip. He pressed himself closer to your body and returned his lips to your own. He pulled back for a moment, towering over you as he stared with those dark, predatory eyes: a lure, a trap. “Would you like to carry this somewhere more intimate?”
There were two responses waiting on your tongue. A less sensible one, “What's the need? Let them hear us.” And a more sensible one, “Yes, I want you all to myself.”
The only reason the latter was more sensible was because it gave you the option of containing your ardor so you could speak sensibly. Hardly any sober words were exchanged when you were in the throes of intoxicating passion with this man. And there was a reason you came here tonight…
Other than your endless desire to find your body melding with his own, an entanglement of limbs and complicated emotions.
“Yes,” you whispered. “Let’s go.”
He carefully released your leg with a wolfish grin, readjusting your appearances so you didn’t look as frazzled as you were. One quick kiss to your lips and he was walking with you back into the crowds of the masquerade ball.
Dancing through the crowd was easy, getting out of the door was easy, getting into his car was easy. The hard part came when you were driving away in the silence of his sleek Mercedes-Benz.
“Elijah,” you found your voice, fiddling with your fingers as you tried to organize your thoughts. He glanced at you before returning his gaze to the road. He hummed deeply in his throat, and you cleared yours, turning your gaze on him and smiling to shield the nerves. “Why did you choose me? Of all the women you could have taken home that first night, the second, the third, all of it, why did you choose me?”
It had confused you since you first met at the beginning of the ball. Was he bored? Were you convenient? Just the first person he laid eyes on? Why you?
His gaze flitted between you and the road as his lips twitched. He licked his bottom lip slowly, shifting his hand to rest atop your own. He squeezed it gently. "You intrigue me."
"I intrigue you?" you echoed, tilting your head.
He nodded. "You're beautiful, you're clever, and you're asking the right questions."
You blinked, glancing away for a moment before looking back again. "I'm asking the questions?" You hated that you couldn't find your own words right then, you couldn't come up with a response (which led you to debate the cleverness he claimed you had).
His gaze lingered a little longer on you than it probably should have. "If I'd picked the wrong woman, she would continue our exploits with no regard for her own self-worth. She'd be content with being just another woman in my sheets."
"A whore?" you quirked a brow and smirked playfully. His smile grew and he shrugged, but did not confirm the choice of words you so elegantly put forth.
You sat back and felt the smile on your face shift slightly into a look of contemplation. "So I wasn't just easy?"
He shook his head, this time with a little chuckle. "Of course not." He leaned into your ear, and a shiver rushed through your spine at the closeness. "I don't like easy."
The sensibility was gone, and the arousal had returned as he pulled into the lot of his home. He rounded the car and came to your side, opening your door and offering his hand. Stepping out, your eyes locked as you rose to your feet, entirely invading the personal space which had stopped existing.
Your lips were inches apart as you lingered there before brushing past him and walking ahead toward the house. He followed behind you, for once leaving him mystified instead of you. You walked on toward the house, dimly lit and awaiting your company, until he was coming up behind you with his arms around your waist. He wrapped you up and carried you inside like a bride—no, not a bride. You can't even consider it in that way, lest you make the biggest mistake of your life.
He opened the door and listened to your giddy excitement as he smiled at you all the way up the expanse of the stairs. The way he burst through his bedroom door and dropped you onto the bed rivaled his gentlemanly behavior over the course of the past few days.
He kicked the door closed with his foot and stalked toward you, depraved and bloodthirsty. You'd been in this position before, staring up at him with hooded eyes. He discarded his blazer, looming over your body and ravaging your lips. His hands held you close to him as he dragged the zipper of your dress down along your back.
You gasped into his kiss, sloppy and without care to the intricate details of intimacy. You pressed your palms against his sides and pulled him closer to you. As his large hand cupped your throat, your back arched into him and his kisses lapped along your jaw. Shallow breaths fanned along your skin, and you welcomed it with short sighs.
You raised a hand against his chest, your fingers danced along his collarbone. Pushing him back, he sat on his knees as you followed, chasing his lips. You flattened your hand along the side of his neck, guiding him onto his back so you could straddle him. Your movement was slow and measured, taking one thing at a time to prolong your evening together as long as possible.
Your lips molded together once more, your hips moving to a slow grind. His eyes never left yours, a guile intimacy that urged your fervor to moan-filled kisses that set your skin ablaze. His hands gripped your waist, guiding your hips onto his. Your eyes shut as a delicate sigh passed your lips, your hands grasping onto his shoulders for support as he rocked you back and forth atop him.
“Don’t stop,” you whispered, addicted to the feel of him touching your body. One of your hands moved to sit atop his own, holding him as you ground your hips. He watched you move with lidded eyes as your head fell back and your lips parted in a lustful ‘O’.
His hands trailed up your body and under the fabric half-forgotten on you until he was surrounding your chest, leaning forward just enough to allow you to sit in his lap as your dress rode up higher and higher along your thighs and hung around your shoulders. Despite his determination to undress you until you were bare before him, he wanted to take his time ravaging your body. Soon your dress was discarded and you were left in nothing but the lingerie that had been sitting idly by in your closet until this night.
He looked up at you with a smirk, teasing, “All for me?”
You scoffed, shaking your head at him with a playful laugh, “No, for the doorman at the party.”
He rolled his eyes a little. “Well, the doorman is fired.” You laughed and he silenced you with his lips upon your chest. You bared your neck for him, sighing gently as your hands played with the fabric of his expensive bowtie.
You attacked his lips as you did your best to fumble for the buttons of his shirt. They twisted and slipped from your fingers, and your patience had run out before long to send what felt like a million buttons shooting from his shirt and all around you. Your hands roamed the expanse of his broad chest, pressing your fingertips into his flesh. “Such an impatient creature,” he hummed.
“Shut up,” you sighed as you wrapped your arms around his neck and brought him to your lips again. Your fingers tangled in his hair as you pulled his body flush against yours, your tongue slipping into his mouth as his own joined in. Your hands shifted from his neck to his chest as you felt his warm skin beneath your palms. You huffed as you allowed your hips to grind down on him again, pulling a wavering moan from your throat and making you sound deliciously pathetic.
“I need you,” you whimpered against his lips, opening your eyes to grant him that needy look that you hoped would get you what you wanted.
He just smiled, as though he could read your mind. “Patience, my dear.” He shifted upon the bed so he was closer to the headboard as he began to lean forward, holding you to his body as he moved to lay you on the bed. You lay back with shallow breath, staring up at him as he gazed back, never breaking eye contact for a moment as he adjusted himself to tower over you.
He leaned in and you bared your neck to him again as he pressed a kiss to your throat, right on top where the muscles shifted as you moaned. He hummed deep in his own throat, his lips caressing your skin as he took his time with you. You held your breath when the tip of his tongue dragged along your skin from the bottom to the top as he traced a vein thumping there. You whispered his name and he rewarded you with the press of his knee into your needy core, just barely reaching your clit enough to make you sigh again.
His lips trailed along your body, spending too much time on every little patch of skin he could find as he traveled down, down, down. He pulled your legs over his shoulders, pressed his kisses into your thighs, and you whimpered when his teeth teased the flesh he grazed. He stared you in the eyes as he did it, moving closer to where you burned for him until his lips found your clit. You sighed gently at the feeling, but you were swiftly interrupted as it didn't last.
He dove into you, his lips and tongue and teeth attacking you. From here, with the way his hair fell over his forehead and his eyes grew dark and primal, he looked like a predator. His name stuttered from your lips, dropping the first letter as you gasp at the feeling of his tongue lapping at your pussy. His fingers dig into your thighs, his lips suck on your clit, his tongue licks into you. Your back arches off the bed and your fingers tangle in his hair. You can't help your whimper as he pleasures you, an expert, it seems, in everything he does.
He moaned into you, sending shivers up your spine as you tugged on his hair. His tongue flicked insistently at your clit, eager to taste you again as you whimpered deliciously.
The sound broke when his fingers prodded at your pussy, slipping the tips of them into your warmth and slowly working them deeper and deeper. Once buried inside of you, he thrusts them slowly at first, in and out and in and out, playing you like an instrument as he curls and pumps his fingers. His slow pace never lasted as he built you to the top, wanting so badly to watch you shatter with your release.
You cursed under your breath, feeling a knot in your belly as you clenched down around his fingers, your clit pulsing against his tongue. "I'm so close," you whimper, grinding urgently against his face.
He was so in tune with your body by now. It took past lovers so long to learn your stops and goes, what makes you tick, what makes you scream. You had known Elijah a week, and he had mastered it.
As the pleasure twisted in your gut and your chest filled with air, you could feel your release taunting you. You whispered his name just as you were about to come.
And Elijah pulled away.
The frustration built quickly in the pit of your stomach, and you clenched the bedsheets and your jaw flexed. You could feel your pleasure retreating like waves after they've licked the shore, spoiling inside of you. Elijah's lips found yours again, smirking against them as you reluctantly kissed him back, angry but still not immune to his charm.
"Fuck you," you breathed against his lips.
He shrugged a shoulder. "I'd rather fuck you."
You rolled your eyes, interrupted by his lips once more, his tongue licking into your mouth. He wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling them tight as he supported you to straddle his lap. His hands grabbed your ass, squeezing and smacking the flesh once. You yelped, your foreheads meeting as you breathed the other's air.
"Please, Elijah," you begged, too desperate to be shy, too enraptured in his skill to be ashamed.
His hand smoothed along your cheek, fingers tangling in your hair to move it back and away from your face. "What do you want, hm?" he hummed. "Tell me what you want, my dear."
You carded your fingers through his hair and sighed longingly. Between kisses, you whispered, "Fuck me. Like you did the first night." You braced your hands around the back of his neck, opening your eyes to look at the dark coffee brown of his own. "If this is my last night with you, I want to make it count."
His breath slowed for a moment as his eyes trailed over your face, like he only just now realized tonight would be the last night and he wanted to really look at you before he never saw you again. Yours did the same. This was the last night.
The moment, full of more intimacy than a couple of one week should be capable of, passed with only a few seconds more than there should have been. He took your hips in his palms, kneaded the flesh, and pulled you into a slow kiss just as desperate as the ones before.
A new passion took you as he rolled your hips in his lap, grinding your wet pussy along his dark slacks, ruining them for future wear as your arousal smeared all over the fabric. He didn't seem to care, especially not with the way he moved your hips to ruin them some more. You only paused his hands when you lifted one leg from their position on either side of him to begin undoing his slacks, slipping them down his legs until they were entirely discarded. Crawling back into his lap and taking his beautiful cock in your hand with an enthusiasm that made him chuckle, you stroked the thick length of him in your palm, up and down and up and down, as beads of precum slipped from the weeping tip and dribbled down the side of him.
"Fuck," he cursed with his forehead against yours, leaning his head to fall onto your shoulder as you moved your wet palm to a steady rhythm along his hard cock. "Look at what you do to me."
You moaned at his praise, working your fist faster until he suddenly grabbed your wrist to stop you. He gave you a hard, dark stare before lifting your waist. As you sat up on your knees, feeling the hard tip of him tapping against your slit, you bit your lip to contain your moan.
He lifted your chin to look at him, his eyes boring into your own as that silent question urged an answer. Do you want this? For the last time, do you want this?
No, you thought to yourself, flattening your palm against his chest. Not for the last time.
"Please, Lijah," you whispered. "Fuck, I need you. I want you."
Taking your hips, he lowered you into his lap, his eyes fluttering and his jaw clenching as he groaned deep on his throat, letting his head fall back to savor the moment. You moaned, feeling yourself flutter around his cock as you took him into your tight pussy. You whimpered his name through trembling lips, laying your head against his shoulder.
"Good girl," he breathed in a strained manner, his hands roaming your body as he felt you clench around him. Your lips pressed to his neck, your tongue tracing over a vein there, as you slowly rocked your hips on top of him. He groaned roughly as you did.
Slowly, your bodies built a rhythm, a steady pace setting as you moved in tandem, thriving off the other's lust as you grabbed and felt and moaned and kissed. The intimacy licked at your skin and sunk into your bones, coating you in lust thick and sweet like honey. It pulsed and pumped through your veins like blood, your very life force shifting to depend on his tenderness.
You bounced in his laps with a level of excitement that mirrored the pleasure on your face. His breath was heavy in your ear as he thrust his hips up to meet the roll of your hips to the best of his ability. As the desperation to feel you, to hear you, filled his blood, he wrapped his arms around you, engulfing you to pull your body flush against his own. He laid you once more on your back, reseating himself inside of you as one hand gripped your waist and the other propped himself up beside your head.
Easing some hair from your face, he pressed his lips to the underside of your jaw, right above a pressure point that made you choke, and began to move his hips in a steady rhythm. In and out and in and out and filling to the brim. Your breath was heavy in your lungs and your hands draped off his shoulders as he pumped his cock into you. He watched you whimper as your body bounced up and down in time with his thrusts, your breasts doing the same in their own dance as he brought a hand to grope them.
Again, his name slipped off your tongue as you gripped his waist, guiding his thrusts lazily. The soft sheets of the bed caressed your skin, his hands grabbed at you, his lips switched between licking, kissing, and speaking into your flesh.
Then, as he braced his arms at either side of your head, he steadied himself with the darkest look in his eyes. You choked on your own breath as his hips snapped into yours, a rough moan forcing from your throat as you grabbed at any skin you could find. His thrusts continued in the same manner, fast and rough as the tip of his cock knocked against the deepest part of you with every thrust.
You were needy, grinding your hips up to meet each powerful thrust as you moaned and whimpered and squeezed your eyes shut, intent on satisfying your desperation for relief.
"Look at you," he sighed. "Beautiful."
You whimpered, especially as his hands slid across your skin and hooked underneath your thighs. pulling them over his shoulders, he held them there as he leaned forward to fold you in half. The new angle sent a whole new array of emotions through you, your entire body tingling at the sensations he filled you with.
"Mmph, Lijah," you gasped.
His thrusts continued; hips snapping, fingers grasping, lips parting against a shuddering breath. "Say it again," he demanded, his voice thick as his words dripped like honey onto your skin.
You didn't respond, your trembling moan squealing in your throat and your eyes squeezing shut, too far away to properly heed his command. He pressed a hand to your cheek, lightly gripping your face and turning you to look at him, noticing the way your eyes droop.
"Come on," he urged darkly. "Say it again. My name. Come on, say it. You can do it." He spoke through heavy breaths and broken groans, bending down to even take your bottom lip between his teeth just to give his mouth something to do as he stared at your fucked out face.
You stuttered it out. "Lijah," you begged. "Elijah, please."
He was weak at your whimpers, his hips jerking slightly in the middle of a particularly rough thrust. "Please what? Tell me what you want, my dear."
Your answer was delayed—and for a moment, he thought he'd fucked you dumb (which was only partially true). "Please, harder. Lemme cum, I needa cum."
He held you tighter, his eagerness to feel you cum around him, your cunt already squeezing him so well, making him crazy. "You want to cum on my cock, dirty girl?"
"Yes!" you exclaimed. "Yes, please, Elijah."
He wanted to prolong this just a little while longer, loving the way you struggled to hold his gaze as the pleasure urged you to squeeze your eyes shut and grip him tighter. He loved the way your arms held his neck, he loved the way your legs twitched on his shoulders, he loved the sounds your cunt made on each impact of his hips, he loved the taste of your skin on his tongue, he loved the way your pussy fluttered around his cock, he loved the way your perfume wafted gently against his face, he loved the way you looked bouncing up and down with each rock of his hips.
His hand snaked between both of your bodies, the stickiness of your body, coming from both the arousal smearing all over your skin and his and the sweat building from the exertion of the pleasure. His thumb found your clit, rubbing circles into the bud with a dexterity that had you moaning loudly. The sensations sparked all along your body, filling you up bit by bit with the heat of his intimacy.
The rhythm of your bodies persisted, working together in perfect harmony, chasing both releases like your lives depended on it. "Elijah," his name fell off your lips like a prayer, praising him like a god meant to be worshiped.
"Again," he breathed, his tone growing darker and darker the closer each of you got to that point of pure ecstasy. "Say my name again."
"Elijah."
"Again."
"Elijah!"
"Say it again."
"Eli–!" You stuttered on the word, your breath catching in your throat as the pleasure suddenly hit you. It exploded in your belly and warmed your whole being as your muscles tightened around him. You moaned and gasped as your cunt clenched down around his pulsing cock, feeling your legs tremble and your breath shudder before kicking into a hyperventilation of a release. His cock twitched inside of you, the squeeze of your cunt too much as he continued to thrust into you, fucking you through your release as your vision went white and your ears rang.
"Fuck, I'm cumming," you announced when your lips could form the word, biting your lip so hard in reaction to your orgasm that you draw blood. A symphony of moaned "yes's" fell from your mouth as you felt the pleasure waning.
Elijah's hips jerked before you felt the hot release of him inside of you, a deep groan scratching in his throat as he buried himself deeply inside of you, as deep as he'd go. He rolled his hips as he came, his breath heavy and filled lust as he let himself succumb to your pleasure.
You whined as his cock pressed against the deepest part of you even after the oversensitivity has taken over and the feeling of him aches so well inside of you. "Elijah," you mewl.
It took a while before you both returned to the ground, easing out of your clouded pleasure. Your breaths mingled as you caught them.
As your hearts slowed and your muscles became so wonderfully loosened, he slipped out of you with a regretful sigh. You laid back against the bed, lazy and spent. His lips captured your own once more, molding in a lax embrace. His mouth slipped down your jaw and toward your neck, placing a kiss there and then easing farther down to your soft shoulder.
He eased off of you, rolling onto his side and pulling an arm over your midsection. He pulled you closer to him, sighing gently as his breath fanned over your skin.
You rolled your head over to him, smiling softly. He returned the smile. "You did wonderfully, my dear," he whispered.
Instead of responding, you leaned over and kissed his soft lips again. "So did you," you said.
You laid there and stared at one another, a longing gaze passing between the both of you as the reality of this being the last night sunk in. He would be gone tomorrow.
Your smile fell slowly and you sighed. "I don't want you to leave."
He smiled sadly. "Will you miss me?"
"I'll miss the mind-blowing sex," you smirked. He chuckled and rolled his eyes, finding it funnier than he probably should have. You laughed with him. As the giggles subsided, you frowned again, nodding. "Yes. I'm gonna miss you."
You stared again. His eyes were so beautiful. That tiny mole on the left side of his cheek was handsome. His chin dimple, alluring. You raised a hand to brush his stubbled face. He covered your hand with his. You kissed him again.
"I'm going to miss you, too."
You licked your bottom lip. You leaned forward. "So let's make this night one to remember."
"Again?" he laughed. "Are you not satisfied?"
You smiled, "Not enough to leave it at that." You kissed his lips once more before wandering down his chest, moving to straddle his body. You kissed down his body as he sighed deeply, a tiny groan leaving his chest. As your lips brushed the delectable space of his V-line, he groaned.
A night to remember.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re watching yourself in the mirror, gown poofing up some and bodice dangling from one hand as you move around to adjust all its bells and whistles. You’ve yet to start the process of putting the dress on, still in your underwear as you prep everything, but you are admiring it.
Honestly, the last thing you want to do is go and put on a face for a whole bunch of people you don’t like and have them actively do the same back to you, but your mother was one of the heads of the planning committee so it was kind of expected.
Then to top it all off it seemed like the news of your failed attempt to overhaul the ‘founding families only’ stipulation that didn’t allow anyone that wasn’t part of the club to vie for the Miss Mystic Falls title (or even her court) had gotten around to everyone.
Naturally Caroline had been the first to inform you of the drama in the most uppity way possible. Why you continued to put up with these teens and their bullshit you had no clue, but you had a protective streak a mile wide and a wannabe supervillain turned fling turned kind-of-friend who was a stage one instigator so really you never stood a chance.
Still the memory of Caroline's haughty voice makes your face twist even worse from where you’re looking back at yourself in the mirror.
You just didn’t think it was a fair rule on top of the whole celebration itself being disgusting, so you’d started kicking up a fuss so your little cousin would have a chance at joining the little makeshift pageant. If they weren’t going to drop the unnecessary aggrandising and the founding family stipulation then you’d damn sure argue your own family’s qualifications, but you digress.
You were only one person you had to protect your peace every once in a while.
For all that though, it’d still been the Lockwoods who owned your family way back when so y’all should one hundred percent count as a founding family. People in this town’s insistence to meat ride the confederacy but clam up when someone even mentions slavery be damned.
The fact that five generations ago your great grandfather changed y’all’s family name when he’d gained his freedom shouldn’t matter.
Especially when the Lockwoods could still coast on their generational wealth, and all of the other founding family members’ names could get them out of an issue five towns over. Not one of them had a leg to stand on claiming your connection to the Mayor and his people had in any way “expired” in the time that’s past.
After they’re emancipation most of your family had moved north during the Great Migration, where everyone stayed until your mother decided she needed a change of scenery while she was pregnant with you and came back to Mystic where some of your grandfather’s descendants' family still lived, but that shouldn’t have been a point they could use against you either. It was moot at best.
You huff.
Honestly fuck everyone though, you were gonna wear this damn dress alongside your cousin and go watch that insolent parade even if Mama Lockwood or anyone else bitched at you for it. And despite how much it would for sure have you cringing. You were a part of a founding family too - hell - your people built Mystic Falls, they deserved to do that stupid dance and stand on that damn nepo baby float too.
Great. Okay, enough of this.
You turn away from the mirror with a small frown and shimmy into your little peasant dress one leg at a time.
“Aww, why the long face?”
“Shit!”
You jump as Damon flashes in, appearing behind you in the mirror, and then starts to laugh. You roll your eyes after catching yourself and go back to fixing up your dress for the “festivities”.
He doesn’t deserve the satisfaction of sneaking up on you he so obviously wanted.
“Oh yeah, I’m definitely excited to celebrate a whole bunch of dead white men.”
Damon stops laughing but there’s still a smirk on his face as he invites himself atop your bed with a flourish.
“Hey, I’m one of those ‘dead white men’,” he snipes back. His accusation is said with a light air but you don’t feel like matching his energy today.
You’re getting tired of the town’s theatrics enough as is.
“Yeah, confederate you,” you deadpan.
He pauses, expression twitching, then gives you a nod as he’s picking up one of the stuffed animals laying on your bed. It’s a bat.
“Touché. That comment was in poor taste. Won’t happen again,” he says, relinquishing his words.
“Oh, if fucking only,” you snap, glaring at him.
Briefly your eyes lock in the mirror and his face loses a little more of its usual sharpness. He’s saying sorry. You scoff, but dismiss the line of conversation right afterwards despite how sharp your tongue feels at the moment.
In any case, in a rare show for Damon, he wasn’t the source of your frustration today so there really wasn’t any use in taking your anger out on him.
“Glad we're on the same page,” you say, voice dipping sarcastically. “Now what do you want?”
Damon’s reflection puts a hand to his heart, face contorting like he’s been staked. Many would wish.
“It’s painful you think so little of me. I don’t want anything.” He inclines his head, face evening back out and smirk falling back in place. “Right now.”
“Mmm.” You smile, nice and closed mouthed and fake. “That mean I’m being subjected to you just for fun?”
“Oh yeah,” he says. You catch the way his eyes go lidded when he watches where your under dress is pulled taunt against your backside and turn to flip him off. Those same intrusive eyes roll. “I’m sorry, haven’t I seen you naked before?”
“Hush,” you grunt, twisting the under dress around on your body with a narrow look at the strings you needed to lace up at the back.
The fact that your mother hadn’t arranged for your gown (and all its many components) to come with written instructions was ridiculous because just watching a few people tie this thing up on YouTube had simply not been enough; you were still confused.
It’s not a minute later that Damon seemingly grows tired of watching you struggle and tosses out a tip about how you’re actually supposed to put on the under dress you’re useless twisting around your torso.
You shoot him a look in the mirror, brows furrowed and lips forming into something between a scowl and a pout.
Damon’s brows raise and he lifts your bat up in front of his face like it’s a shield. “I’m not being a dick. Promise.”
“Hn.” After a second you heed his advice, huffing in shock when the first step actually works to get the piece of clothing in position properly. “So you’re just full of surprises today, huh?”
With a short laugh he peeks at you from behind a spined fabric wing, crystalline eyes sparkling with an emotion that’s not just excitement.
The look makes you want to squint at him harder, makes your mouth twist and lips purse.
Following more of his “tips”, and with the direction of the under dress now fixed, you cinch the strings at the back then wrap the them around to tie into a bow below your breasts. You don’t really take your eyes off Damon, however.
If he realizes what you’re staring for he doesn’t comment on it, just brings the plush back to his lap and begins running his palm across its soft oversized head, looking down at it.
Your gown goes on easier after the under dress is on, the ruffled garment far more straightforward to manage when all you have to do is slip it over your head like any other sundress. Minus the sea of fabric you briefly get swept up in, of course.
All of that finally on, you drop your gaze to the bodice waiting for you to put on next with a frown.
Ugh.
Picking it up you loosen the even greater amount of lace, pulling the ivory ribbon like you’re picking out your least favorite vegetable in an otherwise fantastic dish.
There was no doubt in your mind really that you’d look damn fine in this dress but the prep could kiss your ass.
“So…?” you find yourself asking. The type of guy that Damon was, him quiet either meant he was brooding or he was plotting.
And both could lead to bloody bloody outcomes you’d rather avoid right now.
“So,” he repeats, giving you a steady look that you return right away by turning to look him headon. You screw up your face at him, questioning.
The corners of his eyes actually crinkle and he chuckles when he registers your expression, visibly beginning to look more mischievous in real time. “Fine. You asked for it, Pushy. I heard about your little flop with the Miss Mystic pageant from Liz,” he starts, and you’re already rolling your eyes.
“I don’t want to talk about that.”
You throw the bodice in your hands down on the foot of your bed and Damon shifts forward in intrigue.
“Really, why not?” He grins at you and your eyes dart immediately to see his fangs. They’re not out but you still have to shake off that instinctual unease at the prospect that they could be. At any second. “I thought it was very commendable,” he’s saying.
In spite of his words, the tone he’s saying them in gives off the unarguable impression that he’s mocking you. Though you suppose an argument could be made for teasing but you’re not in the mood for giving Damon that much benefit of the doubt currently.
Just him being here without a reason was suspicious, let alone whatever secrets were hiding in his gaze.
“Sure you do,” you scoff.
Not looking at your face he raises his hand, rocking it back and forth in a so-so motion. The way the feel of his gaze travels over your body is nearly a physical thing.
“Mystic Falls is midwestern generational wealth central, you never stood a chance trying to fight that battle, but it’s very sexy that you cursed them out anyway.” His eyes climb back to your face. He points the bat at you. “Which you could’ve done for real since you’re literally magic but for some bizarre reason didn’t. Explain that decision to me, again?”
“We can’t all compel our way into city council, Jackass.”
“Mm.” He scrunches his face sarcastically before shaking his head from side to side. “Except you totally could though.”
Sighing, you turn to give him a bland look. “Yes Damon. I have the ability to do that, but do you know what else I have?”
“What?” he murmurs, eyes sparkling as he gazes over at you.
“A conscience, Damon. I have a damn conscience.” You smile, and Damon huffs dramatically, before you let your face drop once more. “Now, for real, tell me what the hell you want.”
Still watching him you reach over to grab your bodice, taking a fortifying breath before pulling it over your head. You don’t miss the way Damon hides his laugh by turning it into a cough, but you just want this cursed thing past your shoulders at this point so you don’t bother pausing to address him.
He’d be alright.
Damon — demented primadona he was — got more than enough attention from everyone as it was.
“I already told you. I just wanted to see you in person,” he winks at you.
“Right?” you say shortly, before turning to snap your fingers at him and point to the space beside you. “Alright. Then help me into this thing.”
Damon smiles as you shake the bodice at him. Makes a big show of saying goodbye to your bat before rolling off your bed too. Your conversation isn’t over, but you won’t be pissing in his blood over it any time soon either.
He sidles up to you easily, cool hands cinching the back of the bodice together and then lacing it up without a second thought; the subtlest reminders of his age.
He gets the lacing done halfway before pausing. “What do you even need a bodice for anyway?”
“I need it to give the dress shape. There’s a lot of fabric, Damon.”
“I mean sure,” He puts his hands to your waist, molding them to your shape. “That’s the boring reason, but I don’t know. Seems pretty cinched already.”
Eyes lighting up you knock his hands away. “Just tie the damn laces,” you bite out in between the laughter threatening to bubble past your lips.
He chuckles, finally tying the ivory ribbon into a drooping bow without you having to say so.
Afterwards he takes a few moments to run his hands down the skirt of the dress, and it takes you longer than you’d admit to realize that he’s very carefully smoothing out the few wrinkles that have found their way into the fabric. Despite how tight the overarching situation around the ball is making you, his ministrations make you smile.
Once he’s satisfied with the fabric after a minute or two he looks up and catches your eye. When he notices you smiling he ducks his head, but those hands return to your waist without a second to spare regardless.
In the mirror his eyes strip you from head to toe.
“I’m surprised you didn’t go for black.”
“Hmm?”
You slide both of your ornate earrings on and then start fiddling with the backs for them.
“Your dress,” Damon murmurs. “You’re usually much more psycho goth chick than this.”
You chuckle, “Yeah, well my mom begged me to go for a little more color so…” you gesture towards the dress.
“Royal purple.”
“Uh huh, but don’t worry the rest of my wardrobe remains very very black.”
“I wasn’t worried; such a dark purple looks good on you.” You watch his eyes slide intently over your primped form, his cold breath fanning over the dark skin of your shoulder. “Plus a style change can’t get rid of me that easily.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.”
You watch him roll his eyes in the mirror, his hands trailing from your waist to settle at your hips and squeeze. He leans closer.
“Don’t lie.”
You roll your head back, granting him more access to your throat while pretending to ponder his words, your hand coming up so you can trail your nails along his jawline. His breath hitting the curve of your neck makes you shiver.
He didn’t have to do that for you. Breathe every once in a while to ease the slope of your heavy shoulders.
You lay your hand flat against the side of his jaw and, quick as a blur, he briefly diverts to press a kiss into the pad of your pinky finger.
“Mmm,” you sigh, finger tingling, “…maybe sometimes, when you’re being particularly obnoxious.”
He presses a kiss to your neck, “Like right now?”
“Nah.” You rest your head on his shoulder and watch the way he smirks and easily takes your weight.
Your smile drops some, an earlier thought coming to you, and you focus your gaze at the edge of the mirror.
“Earlier though…”
“Earlier?” Damon says into your skin. He pressed another wetter, less delicate, kiss over your jugular.
The sharp points of his teeth just barely graze over your vain, and you want to fall into it. This is the point in your couplings where you’d start singing for him and Damon liked nothing better, but the earlier memory dampens the mood too much for you to let go like that. Even if you could use the distraction.
“Uh huh,” you click your tongue against your teeth. “I saw you watching Elena earlier.”
The vampire’s eyes snap up to yours in the mirror from where his head is still bent into the crook of your neck.
“Mmm,” another kiss, he squeezes at your hips. “It was a little disconcerting how much she looked like Kathrine in that moment. Dressed like that.”
“And what you told Stefan?”
You hear him open his mouth before his eyes furrow and he shifts back up to his usual height. Both of your hands drop back to your sides.
He looks down, eyes narrowing, “How…did you even hear that?”
You don’t bother talking to him in the mirror. Turning your head sideways with an uptick of your brow, you answer him.
“Oh? You didn’t see me? I hadn’t noticed.”
The smile he throws your way rankles.
“Deflection isn’t pretty on you, Y/n,” he says. Low, rough. So inconsequentially Damon in his delivery.
You let out a big sigh and pull away from him.
If he wanted to actually acknowledge the giant Elena and Kathrine sized rips in your relationship by playing dumb then so be it. Damon wasn’t the only one between you too who craved a little chaos from time to time.
NOTES: Hope you enjoyed!!
This isn’t scary or Halloween themed but I’ve run out of time, and there is vampires, so this is what I’m posting. And I do love this fic, I just wasn’t planning on releasing it for Halloween.
We’re just gonna go ahead and imagine that for the sake of this fic Damon did not have that relationship with Caroline that was basically a domestic violence situationship, but that the show just straight up didn’t acknowledge the full ramifications of. So yeah…Damon did attempt to make up for it by giving Caroline his blood after her accident and the tomb situation, but I still think either more needed to be said or less needed to be done because rewatching season one those scenes were too brutal to not be properly addressed when you’re trying to redeem a character. Alright, rant over.
There’ll be more expansion on what happened in this au instead of the Damon/Caroline thing in part two, also.
btw: if you’d like to leave a comment I’d very much appreciate it!

Heretic female reader x no humanity Hope Mikaelson
Warnings: none?
A/n: This is probably not the most exact accuracy, but I haven't watched Legacies in a hot minute, and even then I've only seen it once. So I tried my best from what I do remember. I hope you like it!
Plus i may have made this a romantic ending. and maybe a bit more fluffy than it should be, but I didn't realize it in the moment i was writing it, so I hope you still enjoy it wither way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alright, how much longer is this going to take? We've been in this crummy motel for the past four days and have barely made progress on Aurora" You lean against the door way with your arms crossed.
It's been a boring couple of days and you need to get out of here, but of course Hope thinks otherwise, the closest you get to to 'leave' is going outside on the balcony. And even then, you're always accompanied by her as if you were to run away. Which would be a stupid decision on your part for even just thinking about it. The humanity-less tribrid is not a force you want to reckon with. Especially considering the sire bond between her and yourself.
It's not even that you're hungry or anything to do with your new vampire side colliding with your siphoner witch side. It's more like you're so sick of staying in the same place with no room to breathe or have any time to yourself. Even when you're in the shower, you can tell Hope is close by the door, listening. Which is in your mind just plain creepy, but you never bring it up, not wanting to make the tribrid mad.
Hope looks up from the desk where she has a contraption of some sorts that looks half put together. "I thought I told you to stay with Aurora in case she tries something." Hope blatantly says, ignoring your question.
You test your luck, "Well, she's been passed for the last three hours and I started to feel a bit creepy just staring at her. And it feels stuffy, can't we do something other than this. Even for just a little while. You seem like you could use a break." You tell her.
She sighs. That's all she does before she gets up, the contraption grasped in her hand and walks past you into the other room where Aurora is chained to the wooden chair.
Before you can even ask what she's doing, Hope plunges it into Aurora's chest. The redhead screams in agony as the contraption sinks deeper in and then causes her to pass out again, her body withering in pain.
Hope turns back to you as if looking for a compliment on what she just did. "What? What do you want me to say? Yay, good job for torturing the red head bitch?" You ask, exasperated.
"Come on," is all she says, nodding to the door as an order to follow her. You glance back at Aurora once more before following her outside the run down motel door.
"What's going on?" You ask as she closes the door and puts a spell on it to make sure no one can go in or leave the room.
"Well, you've been pestering me for how long to get out of here? So, that's what we're going to do, we're going to go to the carnival in town. To test your abilities and to train them" She states while walking down the old creaky steps that lead to the parking lot.
You furrow your eyebrows in suspicion but follow her nonetheless. Climbing into the passenger seat of the car, you do up your seat belt before turning to her. "Should I be worried or turned on about your newfound creepiness?" You smirk.
That gets her to pause, and slowly turn to you, hands still placed on the wheel. "Just do as I say" she finally answers before backing out of the parking spot and going onto the road.
You smile to yourself, proud how even with the sire bond, you could get under her skin...Well to an extent. You don't want to cross a line.
It's quiet on the whole way to the carnival, its quite unnerving. You audibly sigh when you guys finally get there and climb out of the car. Hope pays no mind to it as she leads you guys through the entrance past excited, screaming, and running kids.
"So, when is training going to commence?" You couldn't take it anymore and broke the silence between the both of you.
"Now" She answers, stopping in front of the test your strength game. "Strength is great in a fight, but can also be your downfall in everyday life" She turns to you, and leans in close to your, "Well, un-life." She pulls away and faces the worker in charge of the game.
One second you were watching them talking, the man scoffing at her, and the next, Hope bent down and tapped the surface. The metal piece shot up and hit the highest mark gracefully before plummeting back down.
'"How?.." The man was gobsmacked at what just happened.
The tribrid turns back to you. "Your turn. Try and control your strength to tap the bell and not blow it off" She moves to the side, making way for you to go to the front of the game.
"Okay" You breath out and shake the nervousness out of your hands. You crouch down slowly before reaching out your hand and tapping the surface ever so lightly. So lightly in fact, you barely felt the hard rubber grazing your finger tip.
You watched, breath held, as the piece of metal shoots up the markers and finally clangs against the bell before shooting right back down.
You let out a big sigh of relief at doing something right and not breaking the game. "Did you see that? I think I have pretty good control, don't ya think" You turn back to Hope, a smile lighting up your face.
"Maybe so" She nods, a hint of a smile twitching at the corners of her own lips.
She leads you guys away from the wide eyed man who's practically frozen on the spot, passing all the rides. "Hey, why don't we go on some? You know, instead of testing we could have some fun, maybe bond?" You ask, wanting to have a bit of fun. You haven't been to a carnival since you we're a little kid and you're starting to feel the adrenaline rush of what it feels like being at one.
"And before you say 'no', just think about it. I doubt you've ever been to a carnival before, and they can be so fun if you remove that glare from your face" you point out in the middle of her opening her mouth.
There's a long pause. "...Fine" She basically grumbles. You're right, she's never been to a carnival before.
And that's how you guys find yourselves on the ferris wheel. You're stopped at the top, the view being amazing. "Look at how tiny everyone else is" You say. "Mhm" she says, not really paying attention You gaze down and then turn to Hope. Only to notice that she in fact was not looking at the view and instead her eyes are locked on you.
"Hey! Earth to Hope. You good?" You ask, waving your hand in front of her face. Her eyes snap up to yours which immediately makes you pull your hand away, smile fading from your face.
"Wait a second, are you starting to warm up to me, Mrs. Mikaelson" You smirk, jokingly, hoping that it wont backfire. All you want to do is get her into a good mood. She's been all doom and loom recently.
And even though she has no humanity and killed you, you still care for her and notice when she seems not the 'healthy' amount of careless.
All she does is scoff, but her eyes have different ideas when travelling down to your lips. She can't help herself from leaning in and pressing her lips against your soft ones.
It takes you a moment before snapping out of the shock before kissing her back. The kiss lasts longer than anyone would think between a newly turned heretic and a humanity-less tribrid.
"Not a word of this. To anyone" She says, as if some of her humanity was slipping through. She pulls away from the kiss, surprised at herself for letting her damn 'emotions' getting in the way of her revenge plan.
"Nah, you definitely like me. Even with your cold, no humanity heart. i have proof" You taunt, smiling and tap your finger against her chest overtop her heart. Hope roles her eyes before pulling you back in for a kiss.
A pretty good way to shut you up, might you add.
