Just realised I never shared this omg

Meet the redesigned (and present-day) Jono! I realised I'd originally subconsciously coded him as Aboriginal in some little chunks of experimental writing I made of him and Memphis, and I wanted to make him explicitly so because a) NO SIMPSONS ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIAN CHARACTERS? NOT ONE? b) I thought him having ties to the Stolen Generation (on his mother's side) brought valuable depth to his character (and the Stolen Generation is also something I've wanted to explore a bit in my work) and c) I was already subconsciously writing him as Aboriginal and there's literally only one rough artwork of him made before all the development I gave him, so why go against my instincts for his character?

For context, this is only other appearance in a visual work, back when he was just a two-dimensional placeholder, haha.

Very curious about Tawny and Sideshow Bob's relationship and divorce. She looks terrified

It a tough story.

Tawny was raised in a very conservative and religious home in Oklahoma and stayed in a neighborhood like that for many years. She was also forced into a lot of relationships and that lead to risky and unhappy marriages. Due to that, she's been divorced a fair number of times. (the running gag is that all of her ex's want her back but she's moved on) Then she met Bob, and that kinda turned from just writing letters to being married.

That marriage turned sour somewhat quickly because it was obvious Bob just wanted a woman to cook and clean and make him appear happy and desirable to media. He, at one point, even expressed interest in having kids with Tawny and she very much refused and after he denied her wishes for a divorce the relationship got incredibly toxic. Tawny did end up getting a divorce and it was after that, and a LARGE cash settlement from this and many of her other divorces, she bought a mobile home and traveled to Springfield.

Tawny is now in a healthier relationship, Bob shows no remorse or even care for her now. They remain pretty cold towards each other, and for a while, Tawny couldn't even watch The Krusty Show without seeing him and being freaked out. But now she's healed, he's moved on and all is well. I doubt they'd ever wanna see each other again.
