hello!~ for people who wanna purchase your books, but aren't located in/around Europe (like in Canada, for instance) where would you direct us to be able to acquire physical copies, if there is a place?~ sorry if you've answered this already, I'd just rather have the official place to buy them, than try to find something more secondhand thanks for your time!
I mean, I was in Toronto for a wedding a few months ago and found copies in one of the big Indigo stores there, so they're definitely about and available. Try your local bookshop and if they don't have copies, ask about ordering them in.

Since we’re on the topic of video games, im tired of these fucking remakes. Ive said it before but i’ll say it again each time. These companies dont wanna invest in an actually good remaster or port and would rather waste their time with these remakes bcuz “ooh look how shiny and better the graphics look!!1!1!1” often times it has an empty feeling because everything has to be ultra realism super 6000. Its gotten so bad that now regular gamers are starting to gaslight you into playing or enjoying them. So much has been lost artistically, (like the cool UI designs) that it’s now considered “juvenile” and that i need to “grow up” and “accept it” 😂
#Being genuine and having atmosphere/lore/small details surrounding the game does a lot more.#And can we pls have built in emulators or#backwards combatibility on these newer consoles? if ur able to do all this other shit you can give us an official emulator#And ik that sometimes the developers have actually lost certain files data assets etc within the OG games that cannot be regained#But you can make an entire remake no problem🙄 it be feeling like they are getting told by higher ups “do it or else”#Im gen z and idk if its my gen or a combination of everyone regardless of age wanting these remakes all of a sudden#Bcuz i swear i remember most ppl disliked or didnt care abt them now everyone is on board with it???#No game after the year 1999 should have a remake. A rerelease or remaster is fine. But a remake? Do we really need that…#Also game design used to be cute and fun. Whatever happened to that? Wheres my clever save spots and menu screens?#Theres only a tad bit of remakes i have no problem with and even then its not “needed”#i also understand not liking smth due to its art style. But to act like majority of old games looks terrible is crazy come on now.#Why does h0rizon need a remaster and why are u not allowed to buy or download the OG version of it anymore 😐#feels like ppl think OG games are nothing when they are the entire reason#The amplified hyperrealistic my-26k-ultra-supercomputer-made-this remake exists in the first fucking place#regarding limitations of old games and consoles i could understand a rerelease port but they could just add on stuff and leave it alone lol#Emulators also exists guys….#Rant#Other

In the last eight years or so -- which means it's not just COVID-related issues -- I've lost my favorite local coffee house, my favorite local bookstore, my favorite local quirky restaurant, AND my favorite local Irish pub with the 1916 Easter Rising mural, and now I'm about to lose my favorite local secondhand clothing shop. 😭
#pretty much all of them have to do with an inability to pay the sharply rising cost of rent in this area#the clothing store owner is an 80yo woman who never remembers me lmao but she's very nice and has excellent fashion taste#the bookstore employees actually wanted to collectively buy the business from the owner but the owner said no#because he also owned the building and thought he could make more by renting it out to another business#joke's on him the place has been empty for several years now since he killed his own bookstore SUCK MY DICK MOTHERFUCKER#not unrelatedly now that my dad has officially inherited the house from my late grandmother the county has reappraised the property#and we're anxiously waiting for confirmation of the annual tax to see if we can pay it :/ two attorneys have told us to expect#an increase of like 8-12k/year 😭 and yet california's democratic supermajority failed to pass rent caps 🤡💀#hound barks

i will say with my whole chest that i hate what is happening with music marketing right now. i hate that a song needs to be a tiktok trend. i hate that one album is being released in 23 ways to trick people into buying multiple albums because there are different covers and different photos inside. i hate that one album is being rereleased multiple times as deluxe and then the super deluxe and then super secret version with one additional song just to make the numbers!!!!!! i hate that people without vinyl players buy multiple vinyls of the same album just to own them and collect them. i know no one is making anyone buy multiple versions of the same fucking album by putting a gun to their head BUT COME ONNNNN its all about the money and people and just giving into that!!!!!!!!
#like i said. no one is making anyone do anything HOWEVER this is all a TRICK#7 different covers and 7 different covers of one album in the economy of undecided people#of course officially its so you can choose the onw you like the most#but truth is. there are thousands of people who will buy all the versions just to own them and they male the numbers#i HATE IT#with a burning passion#THIS IS NOT ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT SPECIFICALLY BUT IT ALSO APPLIES#its brought to you by me working at a place where we (among other things) sell vinyls and a 12 year old bought 4 versions of one album#on vinyl and said with their whole chest they are doing it for tiktok views#LIKE DUDEEEEEEE#I KNOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE OLD MAN SHOUTING AT A CLOUD MEME BUT COME ON#I CAN NOT BE THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THIS AND I CRAVE TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO THINKS THE SAME#tell me i am not crazy#music

it’s March 10th…..you know what that means……reminiscing on That
#ohhh March 10th ouygghhhh#what is March 10th you may ask? heh. well.#about two years ago a series I can’t exactly say I enjoy was ending#but I was holding out hope that maybe. just maybe. my favorite characters would get a good ending#only redeeming part of the show. only reason I ever cared about it#so when it was announced there was an episode focusing on them airing on March 10th? I went feral and counted down to the last hour#one month until March 10th. 3 weeks. 2 weeks. one week. 4 days. 1 day. 13 hours. it was truly an obsession#and for what? I can’t exactly answer that. I don’t know what I was hoping for#some sort of redemption perhaps? that this show that I despise so heavily could pull through in the end?#in retrospect it was a ridiculous thing to think because Oh Boy#so on March 10th 2023 after a month of borderline insanity over this stupid episode. I woke up at 5 in the morning to watch it#watch it the best I could anyway. not officially and not subbed but. watch it nonetheless#and I will never forget the pure horror I felt when the episode wasn’t just boring. it was actively Bad. it was actively ruining my beloveds#it was everything I hated about the show wrapped up in a neat little bow. tailor made to piss me off#and I just. went back to bed and stared at the ceiling for an hour trying to process how something could be So Bad#that show never did redeem itself. it went out not with a bang but with a sputter like a dying fish#and now every March 10th that anger is renewed. after that day I stopped caring but the anger never went away#I wasted a month of my life waiting for an episode that was total garbage#aaandYES that show WAS in fact pokemonandWOAHHH YEAH MY FAVORITES WERE TEAM ROCKET HOW COULD YOU FUCKIN TELL#fun FACT I ACTUALLY DO FUCKING LOVE TEAM ROCKET AND THERES A A REAOSN I RESAD ROOTS IN THE FIRTS OKACE OTEHR THANPUMPKIN DADDY#AND EVEN THOUGH I DONT CARE ABOUT THE POKMEON ANIME ANYMORE I STILK LIKE ROOTS BETTER THAN THAT EPUSODE I’m GONNA EXPLODE#DAMN ITTTTT SOMETIMES I FORGET ROOTS IS ABOUT POKEMON IN THE FIRST PLACE#BUT THAT UNDERLYING TEAM ROCKET APPRECIATION IS STITO TEHRE DUCK!!! #hmm kinda a mixed day. my hair trim this morning was a bit jumbled bc hair place was jumbled so that kinda re-ordered my schedule this#morning but then helped some previous clients of ours with a miscellaneous task (not as official work or even side work but just bc I like#them and it was an easy thing to do) and that was really really lovely#afternoon was kinda mixed idk I kinda felt like I wasted it? and then went to a friend’s birthday get together and overall it was okay and#I ended up fully not drinking which was good but idk. I’m friends w both halves of the couple and sometimes I feel like one of them can#just be a bit mean to the other. and then yeah sometimes at a certain point you’re just kinda tired of being around people who’re drinking#when you’re not and it felt like I kept missing opportunities to excuse myself and then we ran into another friend that my partner#has an estranged relationship with which doesn’t mean that I have to have an estranged friendship with but idk. it just started to get into#too much shop talk and some shop talk about my partner (who wasn’t there and also is their boss lol) and idk it was way past when I’d#wanted to leave by then anyway. idk. I feel like my favorite part of the night was when my friend and I took a secret trip to buy a#birthday cake for their partner. and then have lots and lots and lots to do tomorrow and another social event.#useless post is useless#sorry if you read all this just kinda needed to get thoughts out lol

It seems you're mixing the dub audio with remastered footage which I was planning on doing but are you actually gonna upload full episodes anywhere?
I don't share much information about the project on Tumblr, but I talk about it more on Discord!
My workbench in the DCMK Fanworks Server (join link here) has the most comprehensive and up-to-date info, but I also post updates in the Detective Conan EN Community (join link here). As of right now, I've mixed Episodes 1-71, 76-78, and 118.
That said: I would be very happy if anyone else would like to take over! I am very slow 😅
#replies#anonymous#i so wish it would be done officially#i'd buy it in a heartbeat#but until then i'll do it myself 😅 or let someone else do it if anyone would like to take over!#i said i'd get back to it after i finished my last amv but i've been in such a weird funk lately#would love to get it done this year though#it'll be faster when i'm not ocr'ing dub subs anymore and i only have a few eps with that left#i'm so sorry but i don't think i'll be making dub subs for any eps that didn't include them originally#maybe that's why i'm hesitating on continuing... i feel so terrible about that#i really want to include them but without them already in place that's adding a lot of extra time to an already time-consuming process#(it often takes two hours per episode at the very very least--and that's not including render/compression time)#it's a lot of work but it is really something i want to get done (or have done by someone else! haha)#the remastered footage really makes such a difference#and it's helpful with my amvs lol i had to fake a clip for 'messed up' and it would have been soo much easier to just have it already mixed#but in any case i'm glad i'm not the only one who wants this! love seeing funi dub love <3

Finally got an actual bookshelf and not a dresser/shelf combo to fit my books.
Sadly my art books and copies of Dinotopia are too long for it so I'll have to figure out where else I can fit a shelf.

This bookshelf is probably such a read on me...
(Sorry for the poor quality lol my phone is not great)
#i'm just rambling#There is an order.#It was supposed to start with the art books since they're huge but they poke out too much so...#Akira volumes -> graphic novels/comics -> manga dinosaur sanctuary leads into paleontolgy#Paleontolgy-> Jurassic Park and other fiction -> MXTX and similar books.#No I don't have all of Banana Fish. I'm missing four volumes.#The copies of Deathnote and Fruits Basket vol. 1 HAVE to sit next to each other#They have been together for 4-5 years. It is illegal to separate them.#I read all of TGCF before it got officially published in English so I've only got the first two volumes for now.#I blame my friend at the time for getting me a copy of check please cause it reignited my love for webcomics.#There's still a bunch of books I wanna buy so oghhh will have to find a bookshelf similar in color at least.#Ignore the TV on the ground. The place I wanna mount it is currently occupied by a dresser and my bird's cage.

Hostages tortured to death. Parents executed in front of their children. Doctors beaten. Babies murdered. Sexual assault weaponised. No, not Hamas crimes. This is part of an ever-growing list of documented atrocities committed by Israel in the five months since 7 October – quite separate from the carpet bombing of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza and a famine induced by Israel’s obstruction of aid. And yet while the western establishment media has been chock full of the most lurid allegations of savagery directed against Hamas, sometimes with little or no supporting evidence, Israeli atrocities are excused or quickly forgotten. Accusations against Hamas are endlessly reheated to paint a picture of a supremely dangerous and bestial militant group, in turn rationalising the slaughter and starvation of Gaza’s population to “eradicate” it as a terrorist organisation. But equally barbarous atrocities committed by Israel – not in the heat of battle, but in cold blood – are treated as unfortunate, isolated incidents that cannot be connected, that paint no picture, that reveal nothing of import about the military that carried them out. If Hamas’ crimes were so savage and sadistic they still need to be reported months after they took place, why does the establishment media never feel the need to express equal horror and indignation at equivalent or worse acts of cruelty and sadism being inflicted by Israel on Gaza – not five months ago, but right now? Israel's torture of doctors, its sexual assaults of Palestinian women, it's leaving premature babies to die after its forces stormed a hospital. Where is the outrage? This is part of a pattern of behaviour by the western media that leads to only one possible deduction: Israel’s five-month-long attack on Gaza is not being reported. Rather, it is being selectively narrated – and for the most obscene of purposes. Through consistent and glaring failures in their coverage, establishment media – including supposedly liberal outlets, from the BBC and CNN to the Guardian and New York Times – have smoothed the way for Israel to carry out mass slaughter in Gaza, what the World Court has assessed as plausibly a genocide. The role of the media has not been to keep us, their audiences, informed about one of the greatest crimes in living memory. It has been to buy time for US President Joe Biden to keep arming his most useful of client states in the oil-rich Middle East, and to do so without damaging his prospects for re-election in November’s US presidential vote. If Russian President Vladimir Putin was a madman and a barbarous war criminal for invading Ukraine, as every western media outlet agrees, what does that make Israeli officials, when every one of them supports far worse atrocities in Gaza, directed overwhelmingly at civilians? And more to the point, what does that make Biden and the US political class for materially backing Israel to the hilt: sending bombs, vetoing demands for a ceasefire at the United Nations, and freezing desperately needed aid? Worrying about the optics, the president expresses his discomfort, but he carries on helping Israel regardless. While western politicians and commentators worry about some imaginary existential threat those brief events of five months ago pose to the nuclear-armed state of Israel, Israel is quite literally wiping Gaza off the map day by day, quite undisturbed.

there is no ethical consumption under capitalism
Years ago now, I remember seeing the rape prevention advice so frequently given to young women - things like dressing sensibly, not going out late, never being alone, always watching your drink - reframed as meaning, essentially, "make sure he rapes the other girl." This struck a powerful chord with me, because it cuts right to the heart of the matter: that telling someone how to lower their own chances of victimhood doesn't stop perpetrators from existing. Instead, it treats the existence of perpetrators as a foregone conclusion, such that the only thing anyone can do is try, by their own actions, to be a less appealing or more difficult victim.
And the thing is, ever since the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, I've kept on thinking about how, in this day and age, CEOs of big companies often have an equal or greater impact on the day to day lives of regular people than our elected officials, and yet we have almost no legal way to redress any grievances against them - even when their actions, as in the case of Thompson's stewardship of UHC, arguably see them perpetrating manslaughter at scale through tactics like claims denial. That this is a real, recurring thing that happens makes the American healthcare insurance industry a particularly pernicious example, but it's far from being the only one. Because the original premise of the free market - the idea that we effectively "vote" for or against businesses with our dollars, thereby causing them to sink or swim on their individual merits - is utterly broken, and has been for decades, assuming it was ever true at all. In this age of megacorporations and global supply chains, the vast majority of people are dependent on corporations for necessities such as gas, electricity, internet access, water, food, housing and medical care, which means the consumer base is, to all intents and purposes, a captive market. We might not have to buy a specific brand, but we have to buy a brand, and as businesses are constantly competing with one another to bring in profits, not just for the company and its workers, but for C-suites and shareholders - profits that increasingly come at the expense of workers and consumers alike - the greediest, most inhumane corporations set the financial yardstick against which all others are then, of necessity, measured. Which means that, while businesses are not obliged to be greedy and inhumane in order to exist, overwhelmingly, they become greedy and humane in order to compete, because capitalism encourages it, and because there are precious few legal restrictions to stop them from doing so. At the same time, a handful of megacorporations own so many market-dominating brands that, without both significant personal wealth and the time and resources to find viable alternatives, it's all but impossible to avoid them, while the ubiquity of the global supply chain means that, even if you can keep track of which company owns which brand, it's much, much harder to establish which suppliers provide the components that are used in the products bearing their labels. Consider, for instance, how many mainstream American brands are functionally run on sweatshop labour in other parts of the world: places where these big corporations have outsourced their workforce to skirt the already minimal labour and wage protections they'd be obliged to adhere to in the US, all to produce (say) electronics whose elevated sticker price passes a profit on to the company, but without resulting in higher wages for either the sweatshop workers overseas or the American employees selling the products in branded US stores.
When basically every major electronics corporation is engaged in similar business practices, there is no "vote" our money can bring that causes the industry itself to be better regulated - and as wealthy, powerful lobbyists from these industries continue to pay exorbitant sums of money to politicians to keep government regulation at a minimum, even our actual votes can do little to effect any sort of change. But even in those rare instances where new regulations are passed, for multinational corporations, laws passed in one country overwhelmingly don't prevent them from acting abusively overseas, exploiting more desperate populations and cash-poor governments to the same greedy, inhumane ends. And where the ultimate legal penalty for proven transgressions is, more often than not, a fine - which is to say, a fee; which is to say, an amount which, while astronomical by the standards of regular people, still frequently costs the company less than the profits earned through their unethical practices, and which is paid from corporate coffers rather than the bank accounts of the CEOs who made the decisions - big corporations are, in essence, free to act as badly as they can afford to; which is to say, very. Contrary to the promise of the free market, therefore, we as consumers cannot meaningfully "vote" with our dollars in a way that causes "good" businesses to rise to the top, because everything is too interconnected. Our choices under global capitalism are meaningless, because there is no other system we can financially support that stands in opposition to it, and while there are still small businesses and companies who try to operate ethically, both their comparative smallness and their interdependent reliance on the global supply chain means that, even if we feel better about our choices, we're not exerting any meaningful pressure on the system we're trying to change. Which means that, under the free market, trying to be an ethical consumer is functionally equivalent to a young woman dressing modestly, not going out alone and minding her drink at parties in order to avoid being raped. We're not preventing corporate predation or sending a message to corporate predators: we're just making sure they screw other worker, the other consumer, the other guy.
All of which is to say: while I'd prefer not to live in a world where shooting someone dead in the street is considered a valid means of redressing grievances, what the murder of Brian Thompson has shown is that, if you provide no meaningful recourse for justice against abusive, exploitative members of the 1%, then violence done to those people will have the feel of justice, because it fills the void left by the lack of consequences for their actions. It's the same reason why people had little sympathy for the jackass OceanGate CEO who killed himself in his imploding sub, or anyone whose yacht has been attacked by orcas - it's just intensified here, because where the OceanGate CEO was felled by hubris and the yachts were random casualties, whoever killed Thomspon did so deliberately, because of what he did. It was direct action against a man whose policies very arguably constituted manslaughter at scale; a crime which ought to be a crime, but which has, to date, been permitted under the law. And if the law wouldn't stop him, can anyone be surprised that someone might act outside the law in retaliation - or that regular people would cheer for them when they did?

that trend where you call your bf your husband . . . katsuki bakugou x f ! reader / fluff
making a reservation for dinner with katsuki beside you. you’re calling the restaurant and telling them what time you’ll be there. and that’s where it slipped, “yup it’s just for two.” he was on his phone not really paying attention, only until, “yes me and my husband.” something in him shifts, suddenly so aware and unaware at the same time.
what the hell are you talking about?
“mhm, my husband and i will be there by 6 pm.” he jumps, knees on the bed and looking at you so intensely. so shocked by his own ears. looking at you so restlessly because he couldn’t believe it.
“alright, thank you.” you end the call and look at him as if you nothing happened.
“the fuck did you just say?”
you act dumb, trying not to smile. your eyebrows crossed as you tilt your head and sunk further on the bed. “said i’ll be going with my husband?”
katsuki grins, laughing to himself. getting under the covers and pulling you towards him. “didn’t hear you, can you say it again?”
and you’re still playing dumb, “i said you, my husband, will have dinner with me at 6pm.”
he feels his own body jolting, getting lightheaded just from that. placing his head on your chest as he feels something fluttering inside him. he groans, trying to cover up a chuckle, you’re just too good at getting him. “let’s get ready then you always take fucking forever.”
he was so sweet, helping you zip up your dress and putting on your heels for you. helping you with the necklaces he got for you. he looked so handsome too, letting you button up his shirt and cuffing his sleeves.
the drive to the restaurant was quiet except he had his hand on your thigh the entire time.
he seriously was thinking of buying you a ring the next day and make him your husband officially.
what the hell was he waiting for anyway?

"On a freezing cold Wednesday afternoon in eastern Kentucky, Taysha DeVaughan joined a small gathering at the foot of a reclaimed strip mine to celebrate a homecoming. “It’s a return of an ancestor,” DeVaughan said. “It’s a return of a relative.”
That relative was the land they stood on, part of a tract slated for a federal penitentiary that many in the crowd consider another injustice in a region riddled with them. The mine shut down years ago, but the site, near the town of Roxana, still bears the scars of extraction.
DeVaughan, an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation, joined some two dozen people on January 22 to celebrate the Appalachian Rekindling Project buying 63 acres within the prison’s footprint.
“What we’re here to do is to protect her and to give her a voice,” DeVaughan said. “She’s been through mountaintop removal. She’s been blown up, she’s been scraped up, she’s been hurt.”
The Appalachian Rekindling Project, which she helped found last year, wants to rewild the site with bison and native flora and fauna, open it to intertribal gatherings, and, it hopes, stop the prison.
The environmental justice organization worked with a coalition of local nonprofits, including Build Community Not Prisons and the Institute to End Mass Incarceration, to raise $160,000 to buy the plot from a family who owned the land generationally.
Retired truck driver Wayne Whitaker, who owns neighboring land and had considered purchasing it as a hunting ground, told Grist he was supportive. “There’s nothing positive we’ll get out of this prison,” he said.
The penitentiary has been a gleam in the eye of state and local officials and the Bureau of Prisons since 2006. It has always sparked sharp divisions in Roxana and beyond and was killed in 2019 after a series of lawsuits, only to be quietly resurrected in 2022. Last fall, the bureau took the final step in its approval process, clearing the way to begin buying land...
In his book Coal, Cages, Crisis, Schept noted that mine sites are considered ideal locations for prisons or a dumping ground for waste, rather than places of ecological value, as some biologists have argued. The Roxana site has been reclaimed, meaning re-vegetated with a forest that now shelters a number of rare species, including endangered bats.
Opponents argue that a prison will bring more environmental problems than jobs. Letcher County was 1 of 13 counties ravaged by catastrophic flooding in 2022, a situation exacerbated by damage strip mining caused to local watersheds. The prison slated for Roxana will exacerbate the problem.
The Bureau of Prisons estimates it will damage 6,290 feet of streams and about 2 acres of wetlands. (The agency has promised to compensate the state.)
DeVaughan said the purchase also is a step toward rectifying the dispossession that began with the forced removal and genocide of Indigenous peoples. The Cherokee, Shawnee, and Yuchi made their homes in the area before, during, and after colonization, and their thriving nations raised crops, ran businesses, and hunted bison that once roamed Appalachia.
In all the time since, coal, timber, gas, and landholding companies have at times owned almost half of the land in 80 counties stretching from West Virginia to Alabama. Several prisons sprang from deals made with coal companies, something many locals consider the continuation of this status quo.
Changing that dynamic is a priority for the Appalachian Rekindling Project, which hoped to buy more land to protect it from extractive industries and return its stewardship to Indigenous and local communities. DeVaughn said Indigenous peoples throughout the region will be welcome to use the land as a gathering place...
DeVaughan sees its work establishing a new vision of economic transition for coalfields, one that relies less on “dollars and numbers” and more on “healing and restoration” of the land and the Indigenous and other communities that live there.
She is working with some personal connections in the Cheyenne and Arapaho nations to acquire a herd of bison and plans to work with local volunteers, scientists, and students to inventory the site’s flora and fauna."

Steve is the very supportive “ally”
Reverse of this post.
That kind of situation where Steve is the very supportive “ally” and totally knows Eddie is gay. And Steve, bless his heart, just really, really wants Eddie to feel safe—so he does everything he can to show he’s cool with it.
And he’s absolutely, completely, mind-blowingly unaware that he’s been dating Eddie Munson for years.
1986: Steve: “You’ve never been on a date with a guy? No worries, man—I’m technically a guy. I’ll go with you.” Eddie, blinking: “…Okay?”
1986: Steve: “You’ve never kissed a guy? That’s fine, it’s kinda like this…” Eddie, stunned: That was not ‘kind of like’—that was a kiss. That was a real, good kiss. Oh my God.
1987: Steve: “Sex? Uh—I think it’s totally normal! I can, like, show you a few things? I mean, if you want…” Eddie, halfway to cardiac arrest: Am I hallucinating? Is this happening? Is this real life?
1987: Steve: “Yeah, Robin and I are moving. You’re coming with us, obviously.” Eddie: “…Obviously.” Robin in the background, sipping her coffee, watching Steve like he’s a very slow-burn romance novel character.
1988: Steve: “Hey, by the way—you should list me as your emergency contact. I mean, we live together, and Wayne’s kinda far. If something happens, I’m the guy they’d call anyway.”
Eddie, looking at the form in his hands: “…Okay. Sure. My emergency boyfriend. Got it.” Steve: “What? So... Cool!”
1995: Steve: “So, uh… Robin’s officially moved in with her girlfriend. It’s just you and me now.” (pause) “You wanna maybe buy the place? Together? Like, co-own it. Makes sense, right?” Eddie, deadpan: “You’re asking me to buy a house with you.” Steve: “Yeah. It’s practical.” Eddie: “Right. Extremely platonic mortgage.” Steve: “Exactly!” Eddie, muttering: “I’m gonna put that on a t-shirt.”
1997: Steve: “We’ve lived together for, what, ten years? I’ll help you adopt. Co-parenting’s way easier than going solo.” Eddie: “Co… parenting?” Steve: “Yeah.” Eddie, whispering into the void: Dear God, give me strength. I didn't even say that I wanted a child.
2004: Steve: “Of course I’ll marry you if you need to make it official for paperwork or whatever—wait.” (pause) “…May be you want do it with someone you love?”
Eddie, deadpan: “Sweetheart. We share a bed. We have a joint bank account. We have a child. You kissed me goodbye this morning and told me not to forget your lunch.”
Steve: “Yeah, but… I do that with Robin too.”
Eddie: “You don’t kiss Robin on the mouth, Stevie. Any kids with someone? Sex?”
Steve, indignant: "Of course not!" Steve, understanding: "Of course not…"
Steve, slowly blinking: “…Holy shit. I’ve been dating you for, like, seventeen years.”
Eddie, grinning: “Welcome to the relationship, babe. Glad you could join us.”
Steve: “Do we have an anniversary?” Eddie: “We have four. You’ve missed them all.” Steve: “Well now I feel like a terrible boyfriend.” Eddie: “You just agreed to be my husband, technically.” Steve: “Oh my God.” Eddie: “I’ll make you a timeline later.” Steve: “Please do.”

he takes 'happy wife, happy life' very seriously. he will do whatever it takes to put a smile on your face, come what may. he does not hesitate nor cheap out on buying whatever you desire — whether it be a new piece of jewellery, a new set of clothes, or any other chattels you wanted. price is not even a problem in his mind. in fact, he actually likes when you spend a lot of his money — he swells with pride seeing how happy you are and it only makes him want to provide for you that much more.
whenever you're feeling low, whether just mentally exhausted or down with a cold, he goes full-on 'mother bear' mode. he is making sure you eat well, he will carry you everywhere throughout your home if you asked him — sometimes he just does it himself — he'll hold you in his arms like you were a little baby, stroking your head while whispering sweet nothings to you. at night, he tucks you into bed, placing a soft kiss to your temple and quietly saying "get better soon, my love."
a tradition that he still follows to this day since you two have been together is bringing you a bouquet every week. it's always new flowers every week and though he doesn't admit it, he has come to love helping the florist pick out the arrangement. he cherishes the moment he hands them to you, your pretty smile sprawled across your face as you thank him with a lovely kiss, as if this were the first time he had done this for you.
whenever he's had a rough day, as soon as he gets home, he's looking for you. he doesn't say anything and just holds you. instantly his body relaxes, letting out a relieved sigh as he holds you close to him. feeling your warmth against him, inhaling your scent, hearing your sweet voice ring through his ears — you're truly what keeps him grounded and you're the first and only person who can calm him down and make him forget about whatever had been bothering him earlier.
nanami kento had never known that married life could be so sweet. he'd heard of so many marriages failing around him and truthfully, before you two officially became husband and wife, he had a twinge of anxiety bubbling inside him — what if you were to become another couple within the statistic? but rather quickly, that fear had dwindled down to nothing, now replaced with sheer love and bliss that you were his wife and that he would spend every waking moment of his life with you.

Asking out on a date
"So... you free on Friday?"
"There is a new restaurant down the street. Maybe you would like to try it out together?"
"I wanted to ask for a while, so... can I take you out on a date?"
"Tell me a time and a place and I'll be there."
"Let's skip the small talk and just go on a date."
"I have a book full of date ideas. Can you help me trying them out?"
"Hey, I've got this wild idea: you, me, and a cup of coffee. What do you say?"
"I'm going to pick you up, you don't need to worry about anything. You just need to be pretty. Which shouldn't be a problem, since you always are."
"Should we make it official with a real date?"
"I dreamed about us going on a date. Should we make it a reality?"
"There's this fancy restaurant I'd like to try, but I'm sure the food will taste better if you are there with me."
"I could show you a good time."
"So, this was basically a date right? Wanna try a real one?"
"I think I found the perfect date spot. Care to try it out?"
"Let's take this to the next level and go on a date together."
