you’ve heard about linksmeet aus before, but today I bring you a LINKLES MEET AU

✨WELCOME TO THE LINKLE-VERSE✨

basically, an au that asks the question of: what if each Link had a Linkle counterpart? The Linkles don’t necessarily share a spirit, but they do share one thing, aka GETTING LOST! So lost in fact they end up in different eras lmao what’s better than this, just gals being pals trying to find their way back home amiright lmao

it all starts with Fauna (botw/totk!Linkle) following a story about Zelda’s whereabouts for the Lucky Clover Gazette and falling down a suspicious portal accidentally. She ends up in another era and another time, and pairs up with the local Linkle to find a way back home (though jumping through time will absolutely make a great story for the Lucky Clover!) what happens next will (not) surprise you (they get lost again and find themselves in another era, find the local Linkle and…rinse and repeat lmao)

fauna has no idea her coworker (botw/totk!link) is THE link everyone is looking for, cause I think it’s funny that he has the Tony Hawk syndrome lmao

hada dies to ganondorf’s forces while protecting oot!zelda in all timelines except the child timeline

brisa hates ww!link’s guts and refers to him as her sworn arch nemesis but it’s all one sided cause ww!link couldn’t care less about her lmao he keeps finding rare treasure and getting his hands on treasure maps, ITS NOT FAIR !

rosa is like brock from pokemon aka her eyes are always closed lmao

ocaso has a bitch resting face but is actually a sweetheart, she feeds the cats in castle town every day

linka is a traveling merchant in hyrule, while rava travels lorule. they both have had encounters with ravio in lorule/hyrule and hate him, they’re competitors lol the hatred is mutual though ravio hates them too since they keep stealing Mr Hero’s patronage from him lol

I like to imagine peregrina has stumbled upon loz/al!link a couple of times but has no idea who he is, like just a weird traveling kid lmao

alma likes trains and aspires to be a royal engineer like st!link but she also dreams of eventually being the captain of a steamboat lol

ever since she split, colores talks in plural sometimes

capa is mc!link’s cousin aka they both have the same grandpa :)

the translations of their names are:

Cielo = sky

Capa = cape

Hada = fairy

Rosa = rose or pink

Brisa = breeze

Ocaso = twilight

Linka is just Linka lol same with Rava

Colores = colors

Alma = spirit or soul

Fauna = same in English

Peregrina = pilgrim

Listen, Minish Cap was a great game and it’s terribly underrated for a Zelda game. I definitely recommend playing it- it needs more love!

I used this gif of Arrietty because it looks exactly as I imagine an anime of Minish Cap could look. Ghibli and LOZ are seriously the best combination.

I'll never be normal about how Link in Twilight Princess is shown to be both super beloved by the community but also someone who seems to have the insecurities of an outsider– His house is at the side of the village after all. It's implied he feels out of place due to his pointy ears and not being blood related to anyone in Ordon. They all love him SO MUCH and YET...

AND THEN he gets turned into a WOLF. An animal that is seen world-wide as the villain to farmers. There is no way Ordon hasnt lost goats to desperate wolf packs. Likely other animals as well. Link has likely mourned those animals.

And there he is: a wolf. His home is in chaos, the kids are gone. He cant approach those he loves because all they see is a beast that'll just try to take more after they've already lost so much. Not only is he an outsider, he is the enemy.

Even when he turns back, the divine beings tell him that the wolf form is a part of his very being. That is his god assigned fursona and there's no changing that. At his heart there will always be a beast.

BUT ALSO? I dont think Link hates being a wolf. He wags his tail, sniffs around excitedly, awoowoos and and– Gets to talk to animals. This boy LOVES animals and is getting to both be one and talk to them. Its wonderful!

The animals in Ordon recognise him. They're confused by his form but not afraid. Ah! That's Link! Hi dude! In a way, no matter how much he may feel like an outsider, there will always be someone to welcome him home. It was never about where he came from or what he is, Link belongs because he takes part and is loved.

One day, post-game, I like to imagine he comes out about his adventure to the others in Ordon. Likely slowly to Uli and Rusl first, and then when he's ready: to the others. Him being a beast was only a miscommunication... He's more so a dog, their dog. A part of the pack and welcomed for all he is.

And that is why I think Link's wolf form is a metaphor for him being lgbt+, thanks for coming to my tedtalk– 🏃‍♀️

The legend of Zelda: Chained Truths ⛓️ MASTERPOST🔑

(aka where I'll be putting everything about my KeyChain zelink au content)

This is my original zelda story with my zelda & link ocs, they've been fondly nicknamed Key (zelda) and Chain (link) to distinguish them from the canon links & zeldas

The basic plot is that the story happens roughly 100 years post Spirit Tracks in the adult timeline

Zelda (granddaughter of spirit tracks!zelink) is framed for the murder of the king, she manages to escape castle town just for a huge bounty to be placed on her head, she is wanted DEAD or ALIVE

Link, a bounty hunter who only takes "wanted: alive" jobs, stumbles upon Zelda and catches her. Link uses a magical item in the form of a chain to catch criminals, and thus chains himself to Zelda so he can bring her to justice.

Zelda manages to convince him to help her out by offering double the Bounty on her head if he does (and they're successful) Link who's desperate for money to support his family, reluctantly agrees to help her find the truth behind her father's murder.

However, when he's about to unchain them, he finds out the magic key he used to lock the chain is missing, they're now stuck to each other until the key is found or they find another way to unlock their shackles.

They hate each other at first, but eventually warm up to each other.

Did these for fun! Another Legend of Zelda and Assassin’s Creed crossover. I just put Link in Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Unity attire because I liked their design, nothing much.

Link is a character and not just an empty slate for the player to project onto, but he isn't entierly spelt out either. There's this lovely bit of empty space for the player to settle into and make their own interpertations of how Link may feel about various things, and why he chooses to go fowards anyway.

It's likely why Links Meet Aus have been so popular in the past few years. Everyone who experiences these games is bound to have their own version of Link and that's wonderful.

I may not love every take, but I love that there are takes. I ask everyone who loves this series to hold onto their own experience of Link and celebrate it. You can enjoy others' interpertations and consider them your canon– But, don't forget the value of your own adventure.

Legend, Koholint.

i’m not real

He’s a talented and experienced hero, someone who has faced countless challenges and saved everyone more than once. But the spark he once had has faded. His adventures stopped being exciting and began to feel like a burden.

The events of A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages left their mark on him, but what truly shook him was his visit to Koholint Island.

There were no kingdoms in danger, no imminent threats, no grand destiny awaiting him. For the first time, Link had no one to save. And the more time he spent on the island, the more attached he became to its people, especially to one person: Marin.

He fell in love with Her and with the peace of the island. But he couldn’t help to continue in his journey to uncover the mysteries of the place. The monsters that arrived with him seemed to be trying to stop him, and the warnings were clear: if he kept going, he would only bring misfortune. Yet Legend continued.

In the end, he discovered the truth. Everything he had lived through on Koholint was nothing more than a dream created by the Wind Fish. Waking the Wind Fish would erase the island and all its people.

And what else could he do? He completed his mission, because that’s what heroes do, right? But this time, it didn’t feel like a victory. Nothing about it made him feel like the hero he once was. Even if Koholint wasn’t real, for Link, it felt like sacrificing an entire village just to save himself.

And if it was all just a dream… why does losing Marin and all those people hurt so much?

Koholint was a reminder that not all adventures end with a "happily ever after."

I just need to talk about him, he has been living in my mind rent free, Im gonna post this later but it’s 4AM and I can’t sleep because IM THINKING ABOUT HIM, anyway, short comic about Legend, his thoughts and what he is going trough. And come on, he is a teenager, nothing hurts more at that age than a broken heart.
