Asteroid Hera (103)
Tumblr media
"Queen of the gods, and goddess of women, marriage, childbirth, heirs, kings, and empires. She is the goddess of the sky, the wife and sister of Zeus, and the daughter of Cronus and Rhea. She was usually depicted as a regal woman in the prime of her life, wearing a diadem and veil and holding a lotus-tipped staff. Although she is the goddess of marriage, Zeus's many infidelities drive her to jealousy and vengefulness. Her sacred animals include the heifer, the peacock, and the cuckoo. Her Roman counterpart is Juno."
❀ Someone's Asteroid Hera conjunct or opposite your Venus can indicate that that person is jealous of the romantic attention you receive from others and the romantic attention you give to other (especially if the Hera person is a feminine)
❀ Similarly, Hera conjunct Venus in a Natal Chart is indicative of someone who has the potential to be vindictive and jealous in a relationship. It also indicates being jealous and vindictive towards other women in a feminines chart.
❀ Someone's Hera in your 5th House can indicate that someone is jealous of the preconceived notion that you are receiving attention from anyone other than them. Additionally, it also indicates that they feel jealous when your attention is on anyone other than them. This goes for your Natal Chart as well. It can also indicate that one party is jealous about the accolades and talents of the other party.
❀ Hera in the 1st House or conjunct the Ascendant in Synastry can indicate that one (or both) parties were already in a committed relationship with someone else when the two parties met. (Tom Hanks + Rita Wilson, Blake Lively + Ryan Reynolds)
❀ In a Natal Chart, hard aspects from Hera to the Sun can indicate having an appearance that is alluringly pretty like a siren. (Megan Fox, Laetitia Casta)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whereas soft aspects from Hera to the Sun can indicate having an appearance that is naturally pretty (Bianca Balti, Gigi Hadid) I've also noticed that the average person tends to find the latter more attractive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❀ Hera conjunct Juno can indicate mutual jealousy between two parties, and the house Hera is in can indicate what causes it. Ex. If it falls in the 4th House it could indicate that both parties are jealous of how close one is to someone else. The Hera person will act on this jealousy whereas the Juno person will not.
❀ Hera in the 7th House in Synastry can indicate that one partner is jealous about the romantic attention the other partner receives.

okay i have a question for people in the cornley fandom. which characters do you think grew up in cornley, and which ones do you think moved there to attend the polytechnic?
for example, i believe sandra grew up there, as in the tptgw programme, it says she won little miss cornley 1998 after modeling at the balti house, which implies she’s lived there. however, i believe dennis didn’t grow up there, because in the same programme, it says he’s the only one who doesn’t live in residence at the polytechnic, and he commutes from his parents house. the word “commute” suggests he’s travelling at least a reasonable distance.
so yeah which characters do you think have lived in cornley prior to attending the polytechnic?

So if the stans say otherwise, well there's Vestra for the Empire. Rodrigue did his own investigations on Patty/Amy (Egg's mother) with Felix often spitting out pragmatic suggestions. Then the Alliance is all about mind games and power struggles with their politics. The Ashen Wolves are an extension with Yuri's work with the Church, Baltie's backstory with his family, Coco's determination to build her house, and Unhapi's whining when she saw the depths of true villains. Everyone dabbles in dark.
Yeah but since the Church is da evil one, it don't matter what the others do!
Remember kids, if my side does something wrong, it's for the best. But if your side does something equally as sus, it's evil.

Birmingham: An Oasis of Innovation and Growth!
Tumblr media
Birmingham is not just any city, but the town in the West Midlands region of England that is a source of history and high-tech interest to the scientific traveller! Imagine this: a dynamic city alive with passion, dedicated educational hubs that bring students from all over the world to inspire one another, and exchange their ideas, traditions, and findings. It is indeed unchallengeable for other international students to start their learning and discovery journeys from such a centre. But perhaps more importantly, it is time to talk about student accommodation – from student apartments to airy student common areas in Birmingham, there is something for every scholarly type. This city does not simply propose accommodations; it offers a place for future prodigies to grow and develop while engaging with objects from the industrial age to today's city's most recent inventive solutions.
What makes Birmingham ideal for international students?
Cultural Fusion: A Melting Pot of Ideas
It should be noted that Birmingham itself is home to an outrageously multicultural population. It’s like living in a world fair since there are over 180 different nationalities among those residents. To an international student especially, this means exposure to international foods, ways of talking and even thinking. Where else can you talk about engineering with a Japanese student and balti curry which is a Birmingham specialty? It looks like two cool worlds are coming together here: check out that cultural rapport!
World-Class Academia
This city is hub to some of the finest institutions from the University of Birmingham to Aston University and more. Whether you are to dive into a more rigorous area of quantum physics or break down the AI algorithms, Birmingham institutions give you the implements. Science is not merely vibrant here but is ALIVE!!
Affordable (and Student-Centric) Living
Frankly speaking, any college budget itself, can be compared to the density of diamond molecules. Good news: Birmingham guarantees a high quality of life at an incredibly lower price than that of London. Student-friendly, variety of food options at a low price, and is surrounded by good railway and bus connections (West Midlands Metro).
Tech and Innovation Hub
If you love science and technology then Birmingham is the place for you. The city is currently quickly growing into a technology hub with thousands of start-ups, and various industries. Feeling the need to make what you have learned in your classes come to life? Here, you can.
Green Spaces and History
Most people want a time when no equations are solved and no boundaries are crossed. That is exactly what Birmingham’s parks, including Cannon Hill Park, do. Adding to that, the city is rich in industrial history and has canals to top it off. You truly get immersed in a living book of Engineering wonders of the world.
Access for the Rest of the UK
Birmingham itself is right in the heart of England, so it is very easy to travel to other cities. Downing Street Piccadilly Circus, or Salford’s MediaCityUK? No problem. Well, at least it moves in some way, it is like combines the technology of teleportation, but less effective.
Quality Student Housing in Birmingham
Aside from academic offerings and patrons’ living styles, it is the quality of student housing that plays the most part in enhancing a college experience. Through availing of such platforms as the Student Tenant, the process of searching for the right student rooms in Birmingham is made easier, and tailored. If you are aiming for a personal studio or else, you prefer an open creative hub that fosters interaction with other creative freelancers, Birmingham has got you covered. It’s not just about finding accommodation – it’s about establishing an environment to support academic success in a city that combines the latest technologies with the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.

Nubra Valley and Yarab Tso Lake: A Perfect Himalayan Duo
Tumblr media
In the heart of the Indian Himalayas lies a region that seems to belong to another world. Ladakh, with its stark landscapes, ancient monasteries, and vibrant culture, has long been a magnet for travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility. Among its many wonders, the awe-inspiring beauty of Nubra Valley and the serene charm of Yarab Tso Lake stand out as must-visit destinations. These places offer a perfect blend of natural beauty, spiritual calm, and cultural richness, making them ideal for anyone looking to experience the true essence of Ladakh.
Nestled between towering mountains and arid deserts, Nubra Valley is often referred to as the "Valley of Flowers." This name, however, belies the stark, almost surreal beauty of the landscape. The valley is a high-altitude cold desert, characterized by vast expanses of sand dunes, lush green villages, and rugged mountains. The journey to Nubra Valley begins with a thrilling drive over Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. As you descend into the valley, the scenery transforms from the stark, rugged terrain of the pass to the fertile, green oasis of Nubra.
Tumblr media
At the heart of Nubra Valley lies Diskit, the largest and oldest monastery in the region. Perched atop a hill overlooking the Shyok River, Diskit Monastery offers breathtaking views of the valley below. The monastery is home to a 32-meter tall statue of Maitreya Buddha, which stands as a symbol of peace and protection for the valley. Visitors can explore the ancient prayer halls, interact with the resident monks, and experience the tranquil ambiance of this sacred place.
A short drive from Diskit takes you to Hunder, a village famous for its sand dunes and Bactrian camels. These double-humped camels, remnants of the ancient Silk Road trade, offer a unique way to explore the desert landscape. A camel ride at sunset, with the golden dunes stretching out before you and the mountains casting long shadows, is an unforgettable experience.
Tumblr media
Further north lies the village of Turtuk, one of the last villages in India before the Line of Control with Pakistan. Turtuk is a place where cultures converge; its residents are predominantly Balti people, whose language, customs, and cuisine differ markedly from those of the rest of Ladakh. The village is a lush green oasis, with apricot orchards, terraced fields, and charming stone houses. Exploring Turtuk offers a glimpse into a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for centuries.
As you venture deeper into Nubra Valley, the landscape becomes even more dramatic. The road to Panamik, the northernmost village accessible to tourists, takes you along the Nubra River, past hot springs, and through valleys dotted with ancient stupas and monasteries. Panamik itself is famous for its hot springs, believed to have therapeutic properties, and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
Amidst the rugged beauty of Nubra Valley lies Yarab Tso Lake, a hidden gem that few travelers venture to see. Located near the village of Sumur, Yarab Tso is often referred to as the "Hidden Lake" due to its secluded location. The trek to the lake is an adventure in itself, taking you through rocky paths and serene landscapes. As you approach Yarab Tso, the first glimpse of its crystal-clear waters reflecting the sky and the surrounding mountains is nothing short of magical.
Tumblr media
Yarab Tso Lake holds great spiritual significance for the locals. It is considered a sacred lake, and visitors are expected to maintain its sanctity by not polluting the waters or disturbing the peace. The tranquility of Yarab Tso is perfect for meditation, reflection, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. Surrounded by rocky cliffs and alpine vegetation, the lake offers a sense of peace and solitude that is hard to find elsewhere.
For those seeking more adventure, the area around Yarab Tso offers numerous trekking opportunities. The trails take you through varied landscapes, from verdant valleys to barren mountains, and provide stunning views at every turn. Whether you are an experienced trekker or a casual hiker, the treks around Yarab Tso Lake will leave you spellbound.
Tumblr media
Combining a visit to Nubra Valley and Yarab Tso Lake offers travelers a chance to experience the diverse beauty and cultural richness of Ladakh. The journey begins with the excitement of crossing Khardung La and descending into the fertile valley of Nubra. As you explore the villages, monasteries, and sand dunes, you gain a deep appreciation for the resilience and hospitality of the people who call this remote region home.
The contrast between the arid desert of Nubra Valley and the serene waters of Yarab Tso Lake encapsulates the unique beauty of Ladakh. While Nubra offers adventure and cultural exploration, Yarab Tso provides a retreat into nature's quiet embrace. Together, they create a journey that is both exhilarating and peaceful, a perfect reflection of the diverse experiences that Ladakh has to offer.
Tumblr media
Whether you are seeking the thrill of adventure, the peace of solitude, or a deeper connection with nature and culture, a trip to Nubra Valley and Yarab Tso Lake will fulfill your desires. These destinations invite you to step out of your comfort zone, to explore the unknown, and to find beauty in the unexpected. As you stand on the shores of Yarab Tso or atop a dune in Nubra, you will feel a sense of awe and wonder that only the untouched beauty of Ladakh can inspire.
For those planning a visit, it is essential to be mindful of the environmental impact. Ladakh is a fragile ecosystem, and responsible tourism is crucial to preserving its beauty for future generations. Respect the local customs, minimize waste, and support sustainable practices to ensure that Nubra Valley and Yarab Tso Lake remain pristine and enchanting for years to come.
The journey through Nubra Valley and Yarab Tso Lake is more than just a travel experience; it is an opportunity to connect with a land that is as diverse as it is beautiful. From the bustling markets and ancient monasteries of Nubra to the quiet, reflective shores of Yarab Tso, this region of Ladakh offers a journey of discovery, both outward and inward. Embrace the adventure, immerse yourself in the culture, and let the serene beauty of these places leave an indelible mark on your soul.
