"The Wonderful World of Jazz:" Exploring John Lewis' 1961 Masterpiece
Introduction: John Lewis, best known for his work with the Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ), carved out a significant niche for himself in the jazz world with his sophisticated compositions and distinctive piano style. One of his most rewarding endeavors outside the MJQ is the album “The Wonderful World of Jazz,” released in 1961. This album not only showcases Lewis’ prowess as a pianist and composer…

Prompt 281
I had a wonderful Ghosts are Dragons idea thanks to @fairy-lights-and-blobs
Nocturne, the great feathered wyvern of dreams, son of Morpheous, created of the sands of dreams itself, might be a bit, oh what’s the word, stumped. He had been twisting through the smog of the living world, and honestly should have been unseen. Keyword being should.
Because?
There’s a tiny? Hatchling? Growling at him when he slips into a warehouse, having been searching for a… misplaced item. And he says it with a question mark because? This is a hatchling, he knows his own senses, but they’re also… seemingly stuck in a human form.
Dear Dreams, this is worse than how Phantom was- and he had been so injured from too much ecto at formation, even for a baby Primordial, that… Ugh, Nocturne wants to slam his horns against the ground repeatedly.
Alright tiny red hatchling, let him just scoop you up aaand… alright, off to the Zone to see doctors, because really, he wasn’t expecting to get another child, but he’s also not going to just leave the equivalent of a chronically sick toddler!
Jason, currently Red Hood? No clue what the Fuck is happening, he just got kidnapped by an overgrown owl-lizard thing! And his comms are out and genuinely what the fuck-

Fenton Street Food
"You know what's better than being a superhero? A street food vendor! Yes, superheroes can save the day, stop villains and receive hatred or admiration as the case may be, but a street vendor? They are at the heart of the action, fulfilling their dreams! They traveled the world feeding the masses, and even met superheroes, feeding them to keep them doing their duty, food carts are the centerpiece of keeping the heroes alive, they are the heroes..."
Maybe if Danny repeated it enough times he'd start to believe it, though seeing the monstrosity that was the Fenton food cart he highly doubted it. More so because it had fucking guns hidden next to the mutant and very alive Hot dogs (which by the way were not sellable, they were the mascots of the brand).
It all started when Jack Fenton talked about his dream of delivering his favorite food around the world, that fueled Maddie Fenton's idea, and since Jazz was in college and Danny was on vacation no one could stop them.
Soon Danny became a victim of his parents' eccentricities. Although the halfa had to admit that selling in Gotham was a lot of fun, thieves didn't think it was worth mugging him and the Rogues themselves bought his food of dubious origins.
It was almost a shame to have to change cities because Batman was getting too suspicious but Metropolis was waiting for him. And he would be back eventually; some bats who had enjoyed his strange roving food stall had waved him off with handkerchiefs, wiping away fake tears. Danny appreciated it.
Besides, Red Robin affirmed to him that he would recommend him to Superboy, so he wouldn't run out of customers anytime soon. He wondered if he should stop by Central City, the Flash Family ate a lot didn't they?

DP X DC Prompt: The New King's Fright Knight
Clockwork tells the newly crowned High King Phantom that he needs to name a Fright Knight to serve and protect him. The title comes with responsibilities and benefits. The Fright Knight must defend the King and fight challenges by the King's side. If a challenger can't defeat the King's Fright Knight than they have no right to challenge the King.
Among the benefits of the Title are a custom weapon that can take any form the Knight desires and is capable of sending any injured by the weapon to a dimension under the Knight's control and design. It could be a realm of nightmares or a realm of cotton candy, or anything in between as the Knight desires.
Danny, of course, being some what infamous for saying the first thing on his mind immediately blurts out a name when Clockwork asks him to think of the person who makes him feel the safest.
The newly named Fright Knight gets immediately summoned into the Ghost Zones to be offered the job, no matter where they were or what they were doing.

There is truly nothing more exhilarating than rereading old fic notes and going "DAMN this is good."
(That, and also laughing out loud at your own jokes.)

What a wonderful world (Louis Armstrong) Jazz
youtube
Louis Armstrong was active before the American Civil Rights Movement, which must have been a hellish time for black people. The fact that he was able to sing such a hopeful song at such a time shows how strong and supple his spirit is. I'm a big fan of this song. A song like a miracle.
What a wonderful world(ルイ・アームストロング)ジャズ

The Legacy of Louis Armstrong: Exploring His Complex Journey in A Wonderful World Musical
The Legacy of Louis Armstrong: A Broadway Journey Growing up in England during the vibrant 1950s and ’60s, Christopher Renshaw couldn’t escape the influence of Louis Armstrong. “He was an icon for me as a child,” Renshaw reflected. “He was just there — always smiling, always funny.” However, when Renshaw, known for directing acclaimed productions like the 1996 Broadway rendition of The King and I…
