Royal Wedding

You were sent a letter a few weeks ago; Sonia was to be married today. As a state event there was a very short guest list of those not heads of state. As it turns out she had found herself a match after all, though he was a bit an of obscure and older man. As Sonia's friend, she requested your presence in the capital city to witness the event. In terms of fashion she requested that you wear something that would be good for a painting as said tradition had not fallen out of favor in Novoselic; you were also not obligated to bring a guest though the option was there.

So, me and my friend @megamispe rewatched Monters vs Alians lately. My first thought? Why not make a komaeda centred au based on that lol. My computer broke, so I haven't drawn all the characters, but here's some doodles.

I'm having lots of fun with this au, so ill probably post more of it later. (Feel free to ask me about it if you'd like!)

Also, check Mega's twitter account, she gave me a lot of ideas for this au!!

The story would follow the same line as the movie, except that I added some stuff, so here's about the characters for now if you'd like to know:

Nagito Komaeda: Pretty much the same thing that happens to Susan in the movie, except... he's Komaeda...

Nagito was supposed to marry Byakuya the day a large meteor hit him. Said meteor contained a large amount of radiation that Komaeda ended up absorbing at the impact. Of course, he survived the incident due to his luck.

However, the radiation began affecting his body during the ceremony, which caused his previously light brown hair to turn white and his height to increase unbelievably huge. With that the wedding has been ruined, the guests were scared for their lives, Byakuya was grossed out by him now, and a monster containment organization has been called to capture him. The only ones who did worry about Nagito were Sonia and Gundham, but they could do nothing to stop him from being captured. Komaeda blames himself and his luck for ruining what should be the happiest day of his life and convinced himself that no matter what he tried, his chances of having the loving family he always longed for would always be taken away from him.

Byakuya Togami: He's the heir of the Togami corporation—just like in canon— and was about to marry Komaeda more for status and money than love. Nagito's family was loaded and had control over many interesting businesses for Togami, that's why he chose to marry Nagito, who was the only person left in his family. But once the radiation took over Komaeda, Byakuya gave up on the idea instantly. He did not want to deal with a giant-sized Komaeda, thinking that would ruin his image and career. It's not like Nagito has his family's assets now that he's a monster, so he's not interesting to Byakuya anymore. (Togami is a fucking asshole in this au, I'm sorry, Togami fans)

Sonia Nevermind + Gundham Tanaka: They're Nagito's best friends. Since Nagito's parents are dead, they're the ones who always help him out, including at his wedding. They were the only ones who were more for Komaeda himself after the meteor episode. Gundham even tried to stop some of the soldiers from the organization, but that was in vain, he and Sonia were pulled out of the area as well as the rest of the guests.

Eventually, when the monsters get Mukuro's permission to leave the containment base, Komeada goes directly to Gundham and Sonia's house so they know he's okay. Both Sonia and Gundham don't mind his new form, they're just happy to have their best friend back safe and sound.

Bonus: Gundham says that Nagito has reached his true form and that he knew from the start that Nagito wasn't entirely human. Komaeda shrugged it off as he knows it's just Gundham's dramatic way of speaking.

Mukuro Ikusaba: She takes the role of R. Monger.

Mukuro is a very talented soldier who got promoted to be in charge of area fifty-something(yes, the same as the movie. I'm not creative), where the monsters are being kept. She's cold looking and very straight to the point, but she also has a soft spot for the monsters she takes care of. That being said, she goes on her way to make sure they're comfortable in their new forever home, even if they can't escape to the outside world due to how humans would react.

After some months after Nagito's containment, Mukuro received the information that a huge alien robot bear had arrived on earth and proved to be a threat as it was killing innocent people and causing despair all over the place. Mukuro convinced the government to use the monsters to fight the robot since not even the armed force could, and in exchange, the monsters could finally be free.

Needless to say that Mukuro cared a lot for them, so she was very nervous about this decision as they could get hurt or even die.

Chiaki Nanami: Chiaki is a werebat. She has been in area fifty-something since she was 15. She's now 23.

Nanami has been found by the monster containment organization with one of her wings broken, so it was easier for them to capture her. It was a scary experience, she hated it there, but things improved when she met the Ultimate Hope, who she only calls Hajime(or Izuru if he's in control), they got attached very quickly as they noticed they were both very lonely and had problems socializing with the others monsters in the facility.

When she was 18, Mukuro got her promotion. Chiaki was cautious about her at first, but that soon changed as Ikusaba showed the monsters genuine care. Mukuro even gifted Chiaki a portable game console, which led to Nanami hyperfixation on games.

Nanami got interested in Nagito almost instantly, when he got into the facility, because of her curiosity. She surely hadn't planned that, but after some months, she and Hajime had developed a very strong bond with the white-haired man.

Hajime/Izuru(Ultimate Hope): The Ultimate Hope was born from a failed experiment a mad scientist performed on his son—Hajime Hinata— when the boy was 5 years old to try and stuff all talents known in the child's brain. That resulted in the creation of Izuru, however, the scientist hadn't expected Hajime's memories and soul to still be alive after the experiment. The Ultimate Hope was captured by the monster containment organization right after said experiment when they ended up killing their father in a post-trauma rage assessment.

Hajime and Izuru, despite showing different personalities, are the same person. They have the same feelings, same memories, same body... if, somehow, they were to be split apart, it'd be similar to cutting off a body member.

Hajime and Izuru intercalate who's in control of their body depending on the situation, Hajime being more in control during social and support situations, and Izuru during situations that require a bit more logic. Usually, Hajime's the one in control and izuru appears as his shadow. The same happens when Izuru takes control, but Hajime's the one being his shadow.

As previously mentioned, they take interest in Nagito and decide to approach him alongside Chiaki.

Akane Owari: She's a werewolf. Surprisingly the most difficult one to capture.

Akane has been found in a small village scaring some villagers away so she could steal their food and bring them to her younger siblings.

The monster containment organization tried to capture her more than once, but she always escaped using her inhuman speed. She also put up a fight leaving many soldiers harmed, but never killed them. She has only been captured one day when she came back to her cave and couldn't find her siblings anywhere. She lost the will to fight and let herself be captured.

She still don't know where they are, and that worries her very much, but she allowed herself to enjoy her new life since she not only got free food in the facility, but also got along pretty well with the other monsters.

King Monokuma: It is a gigantic alien robot that Junko sent to earth, in Japan to be precise, to torment the humans and bring them despair. However, King Monokuma is merely a distraction from her actual takeover plan.

She knew that the robot bear would get the world's attention, having most of the countries send resources that they believed would help take it down, as King Monokuma was believed to be a menace not only to Japan, but to the rest of the world too.

Still, even with how strong the robot was, it was defeated by the monsters strangely easily.

Junko Enoshima: Junko is an alien that destroyed her own planet. She's completely in love with despair and wants every living being to feel it.

It's always the same plan, she sends one of her Monokumas to scare the inhabitants of the planet she chose, and kills a bunch of people, only sparing a few that she thought that'd make wonderful remnants of despair and make them destroy their home planet themselves...

She'd watch the chaos and also plan more despairing things to do with the planet's inhabitants, like different types of killing games, until she gets bored and went to the next planet.

But earth is a little special for her, as it would not be the first time she'd be there. This time, she's eager to see a certain soldier again, but not only that, she wants the amount of power that had been contained within Komaeda(of course she doesn't knows that he's the one who has been hit by that meteor...yet).

Bonus thingy: Hajime/Izuru and Chiaki teach Nagito how to feel love. The trio + Mukuro and Akane become a founding family!!!

Truth Bullets Episode 1 to 5

// From here on out, I will be posting truth bullets for the trial and organizing them so each 5 episodes of Despair side and Future Side, a set of bullets will pop up, so keep that in mind.

Future Side - Episode 1:

Masuyo and Hotaru Miyahira - A pair of siblings that seem to have connection to Class 77-B however that connection is unknown.

Class 77-B Mutilating themselves - Class 77-B were the Remnants of Despairs and did everything for Junko; even going as far as to self-harm themselves;

Akane Owari, one of the survivors even is now suffering from malnutrition.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuruyu replace his eye with Junko's.

Kazuichi Souda is suffering from acute mechanical back pain and seems the other that died in the simulation suffer worse.

Junko's body limbs - How Class 77-B got Junko's body was likely due to Makoto's execution where Junko's remains fell into the garbage dump and how the Remnants of Despair got her body..

Connection to Hope Cultivation Plan - Makoto, Kyoko and Byakuya have to go back to Future Foundation as it was discover that someone had connections to the Izuru Kamukura Project.

Nagi Nanami - A member of Future Foundation as a member of the 7th Division, she was the Ultimate Gamer of Class 77-B and sounds like Chiaki.

Despair Side - Episode 1:

Class 77-B Replacement - Hajime Hinata and Chiaki Nanami were the replacements for 2 Ultimates from Class 77-B.

Hatomi Sato - Class 77-B's Ultimate Archer and who Chiaki took the place of due to her death during Twilight Syndrome Murder Case along with Natsumi Kuzuruyu.

Yukio Miyahira - Class 77-B's Ultimate Councilor along with the older brother of Masuyo and Hotaru Miyahira who Hajime takes the place of due to his death happening at the end of Hope's Peak was due to suicide.

[UPDATED] Masuyo and Hotaru Miyahira - A pair of siblings that seem to have connection to Class 77-B, they are the younger siblings of Yukio Miyahira, the Ulimate Counsilor of Class 77-B.

The Reserve Course Department - The Reserve Course Department is an institution founded by Hope's Peak Academy. While there are talentless students are there, many of those that are talented but couldn't get into the main course go here if recommended.

Hiromi Murahama - Another girl from the Reserve Course that mention that she was suppose to attend Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Marine Biologist which she got into Class 78-B.

Student Council - The Student Council of Hope's Peak, they were all killed during the tragedy of Hope's Peak with the following talents;

Twilight Syndrome Murder Case - A murder had occur on school grounds, many students either are evasive about the subject or doesn't want to talk about it.

Chisa Yukizome - She's Class 78-A's teacher and was the former Ultimate Housekeeper of Class 74, she had died protecting her students.

Class 77-B's teacher - The mysterious teacher of Class 77-B, not much is known about her but she causes fear in her students.

Future Side - Episode 2:

Panic Attacks - It appears that aside from mutilating themselves, Class 77-B and Hajime all suffer from panic attacks and get trigger by certain words;

Sonia Nevermind: She had a panic attack from the mention or alluding to their teacher that she attacked Nagi.

Hajime Hinata: He started to devolop a fear of needles which was from the Kamukura Project.

Kyoji Nakamura - He has connections to the Kamukura Project and helped with Hajime Hinata turning into Izuru Kamukura, he is place under house arrest to not only help with the Kamukura Project.

Heads of Future Foundation - Future Foundation is split into 15 Division Branches that each one watches over and help restore the world back to normal.

Kazuo Tengan - Leader of the Future Foundation/1st Division: Provide overall directions and leadership of Future Foundation

Kyosuke Munakata - Vice-Leader of the Future Foundation/2nd Division: Manage day-to-day operations of the Future Foundation, construction of facility; expansion of organization; military and peacekeeping force

Koichi Kizakura - 3rd Division Head/3rd Division: Human resources, include scouting for potential members and personnel assignments

Seiko Kimura - 4th Division Head/4th Division: Research and develop medical techniques

Head of the 14th Division - Makoto's Division and which Emiko Shinogi often takes the place of the leader, he works under Public Relations; spreading news of Future Foundation's activities to the public.

Makoto Naegi's House Arrest - Due to helping the Reamants of Despairs, Makoto Naegi is place under house arrest and is to be monitor.

Hope's Peak Investigation - under the request of the head of the 13th Division, a investigation on Hope's Peak is underway.

Side Effects of the Kamukura Project - It seems that while Nagi was seeing the various issues the survivors had save for Akane, Hajime started to show body heat issues and various other side effects.

Despair Side - Episode 2:

Camera recording - While on vacation, Nagi Nanami was able to get a camera on her person and record everything she witness on her phone; including Hiyoko's bullying and her teacher's behavior.

Class 77-B at Hope's Peak - Nagi sees that the class has a lot of issues and Hiyoko Saionji was bullying her classmates which she attempted to nearly sabotage all of her meeting her classmates.

[UPDATED] Class 77-B's teacher - The mysterious teacher of Class 77-B, not much is known about her but she causes fear in her students. Nagi notice how she seems to let Hiyoko bully or even outright encourage it which causes Nagi to leave.

Chihiro Fujisaki - Class 78-A's Ultimate Programmer that help create programs and even helped with creating Chiaki, the program to help him solve puzzle games.

Emiko Shinogi - She was a subsutitute for Class 77-B while their teacher had gotten herself hurt in an accident when meeting with Nagi and even did not put up with Hiyoko's behavior as she decide to call Hiyoko's grandmother.

Future Side - Episode 3:

Security on Jabberwock Island - As requested by Future Foundation; Nagi had started to add security to the island, along with message braclets that act as trackers and shock collars to protect herself and others from attacks. The message braclets also block messages that anons can send.

Usami Bots - As apart of the 7th Division, Future Foundation has created the Usami bots; which is meant to help with daily needs and even protect those on the island along with protecting Nagi, Masuyo and Hotaru which they will act if threaten but they seem to follow a single command.

Natsumi Kuzuruyu - Fuyuhiko's little sister, she became apart of Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Little Sister but died at the hands of Hatomi Sato during Twilight Syndrome Murder Case.

The Orphanage - A location where children from Towa City stay at after Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa save them all, the Division is being watch over by 7th and 8th Division Heads along with Hisako's children, Sunako Inoue and those on the hit list.

Haiji Towa - Haiji is still trying to take down the kids and Monaca Towa.

Warriors of Hope - It was discover that the Warriors of Hope follow Komaru and co. back to the orphanage and are arrested.

Blacklisted Ultimates - as due to the Remanats of Despairs working with Junko Enoshima, they are no longer to have careers connected to their talents and any chance for a career is impossible unless they find a career not connected to it.

Reviving the Remanats - Hajime discover that Alter Ego is awaken and soon awakens Chiaki and Usami who has her Monomi form.

Despair Side - Episode 3:

Junko Enoshima - Class 78-A's Ultimate Fashionista and Ultimate Despair, she cause the tragedy and even manipulated Class 77-B into her ranks with the exception of Nagi; she died during the killing school life killing game.

Hiyoko Expelled - Hiyoko's Grandmother had decided to drop Hiyoko out of Hope's Peak, a few days before Class 77-B's teacher came back but on April 1st, 2013 - she had return, no one knows how that happen.

Class 79 - Class 79 enroll months earlier then they are suppose due to Twilight Syndrome Murder Case, currently only 3 members of them are alive right now and head of the Kisaragi Foundation; Tsurugi Kinjo, Rei Mekaru and Teruya Otori.

The Tragedy of Hope's Peak - The student council was put into a killing game on December 24th, Junko's birthday but was also Kiyoka's birthday as well.

Enclosed Space - When investigating, I discover that there are gates from the exits along with barred windows, meaning that the student council were likely force to kill each other.

Recently added gates and bars - Hope’s Peak doesn’t have the gates and bars, they look to be recent.

Karen Kisaragi - From what Yamato has told me; he and Karen are in fact cousins on his dad’s side. He mention that from what Karen knows is that despite their arguments, the student council tend to get along and wouldn’t fight at all or kill each other however Karen might have bi-polar disorder and could end up hurting someone if threaten or if anything happen to her mom.

Yamato’s Account - Yamato was coming down the 5th floor to the student council room which then he heard a gun shot, he look inside and saw Kotomi Ikuta being shot which as everyone panic, Mukuro Ikusaba who was threatening them say that if they wish to escape then they got 4 hours to kill each other otherwise this long hair boy or herself will kill each other.

Student Council Dead - Seems all the student council members are dead, Soshun Murasame is the sole survivor.

Weapons - The student council was given various items to be use as weapons; some from the garden shed to even labs, the gym and even guns which seem to be from the Japan Self-Defense Forces and the only way to get those order is if you work for the military or have a talent in it.

Recorded - Seems the entire massacre was recorded so meaning that someone did record this entire thing but for what purpose.

Control Room Open - When Nagi and Yamato walk in, they discover the control room was open and found some evidence.

Control for Gate - Nagi and Yamato found the gate in the control room, it was created by TOWA Corp.

Letter - There is a ripped letter and it seems the Steering Committee wanted to get rid of the Student Council as they were close to discovering the Hope’s Peak Academy’s Elementary School Division.

'-As say, to make sure Hope’s Peak is standing for future generations; we need to make sure that the student council don’t look into Hope’s Peak Academy’s Elementary School Division.

So to make sure that it doesn’t get expose, you can blackmail or threaten them as you like. Just make sure you get rid of them by any means necessary, no matter what it takes you must make sure they stop with their investigation.

Hope Cultivation Plan - Hope’s Peak had this project called the ‘Izuru Kamukura Project’ which is say to use the Reserve Course as Lab Rats.

Nagi's NDA - it's reveal that Nagi didn't sign an NDA after the tragedy due to the situation going on with the teachers which Nagi reveal the tragedy of Hope's Peak to Class 77-B.

[UPDATED] Class 77-B's teacher - The mysterious teacher of Class 77-B, not much is known about her but she causes fear in her students. Nagi notice how she seems to let Hiyoko bully or even outright encourage it which causes Nagi to leave. As the teacher return, the teacher got upset that Hiyoko drop out and started to beat up Mikan as to find out what happen to Hiyoko.

The Parade - The tragedy of Hope's Peak got leaked and the parade started, which students began a revolution and preparing to barge into Hope's Peak.

Chiaki's creation - While Chihiro was depressed during the parade, Nagi offer to help Chihiro with Chiaki and even provided a voice.

Izuru Kamukura - Due to the new Steering Committee, the investigation has been call off and Junko Enoshima was declared innocent however, Nagi saw Izuru and follow him under the statue.

Class 77-B became Ultimate Despair - Nagi was able to escape alive thanks to Yukio and Izuru however Ren, a fellow Reserve Course Student try to kill Izuru which he died which Nagi escape with her life.

Future Side - Episode 4:

[UPDATED] Hope's Peak Investigation - under the request of the head of the 13th Division, a investigation on Hope's Peak is underway. The trial will be held on August 20th, 2018, as requested.

[UPDATED] Head of the 14th Division - Makoto's Division and which Emiko Shinogi often takes the place of the leader, he works under Public Relations; spreading news of Future Foundation's activities to the public. It gets reveal that Class 77-B's Teacher is the head of the 14th Division.

Rules for the investigation - Due to the Investigation, Nagi Nanami had set rules for the investigation and the Remanats of Despairs.

No one is allow to go to Jabberwock Island unless you inform Nagi Nanami, myself, Kyoko Kirigiri and Ernesto Gomez or Nagi Nanami request something from a Division.

Any and all information related to Hope’s Peak Academy or the investigation must be given to myself or Kyoko Kirigiri.

No Future Foundation Heads are allow to leave Japan until the investigation and trial is over.

Kazuo Tengan's Dementia - It seems that the head of Future Foundation is starting to show signs of dementia and is planning to retire from Future Foundation after the Investigation is over.

Threatening Voice call - the Head of the 14th Division threaten Nagi which she recorded it.

Monaca's plan - Otoha had discover that she plans to record the Warriors of Hope execution and make it public, thus causing more trouble.

Despair Side - Episode 4:

Former Ultimate Despairs - Masa had discover that the other Ultimate Despairs that work for Junko Enoshima were former Hope's Peak Acedemy Students, there reasons for joining Junko were unknown.

The Forming of Future Foundation - Masa remembers that she, Seiko, Kazuo, Koichi, Emiko, Juzo and Kyosuke are the only survivors from the fall of Hope's Peak.

After Killing School Life Killing Game - After Makoto and the surviviors of the killing game, Future Foundation got to work with removing everything from the school to make sure it isn't use.

Junko's body limbs - How Class 77-B got Junko's body was likely due to Makoto's execution where Junko's remains fell into the garbage dump and how the Remanats of Despair got her body.

Byakuya Togami's arrest - Future Foundation had arrested Byakuya Togami under suspucions of helping fund Junko's killing game.

Discovery of Class 77-B being Ultimate Despair - Nagi, Makoto and the others had discover that Class 77-B was Ultimate Despair is due to Hiyoko and the rest of Class 77-B bully Mikan and cut herself.

Kyoji attempting to run away - Kyoji was going to leave Future Foundation due to discovering Izuru Kamukura is Hajime Hinata.

Future Foundation finding out - Future Foundation discover that Class 77-B were Ultimate Despair, it seems that Kyoji Nakamura had reveal the information and some Future Foundation Heads were attack by Hiyoko and Sonia.

Future Side - Episode 5:

Junko's laptop - Junko left a laptop which contains an set of clips that are pre-recorded and Junko reveals that she has left them with Class 77-B and if they want to find out what happen then Future Foundation needs to look for the briefcases.

Password - Junko left a password, she mention to use her notebook to help figure out the mystery.

Junko's behavior - Junko seem much more calm and rational then she was in the killing game, something happen to her but it's unknown.

Kisaragi Foundation - Another Foundation like Future Foundation but seems to run differently and due to Future Foundation have a mass investigation; Komaru and Toko requested aid from the Kisaragi Foundation.

Despair Side - Episode 5:

Imposter's past - Imposter was an orphan by the name of 'Kei Takahashi' which their identity was burn away when a fire burn down the orphanage, after that they ran away and even started to copy Byakuya. After a couple of years, Kei discover Koichi drunk on a bench and decided to enroll all of Class 77-B.

Imposter's time at Hope's Peak - Kei remember that he was pretending to be their teacher which they wanted to created their own identity but never got to or even interact with the rest of the class.

[UPDATED] Class 77-B's teacher - The mysterious teacher of Class 77-B, not much is known about her but she causes fear in her students. Nagi notice how she seems to let Hiyoko bully or even outright encourage it which causes Nagi to leave. As the teacher return, the teacher got upset that Hiyoko drop out and started to beat up Mikan as to find out what happen to Hiyoko. Kei mentions that the teacher barely does any teaching at all and often leaves it to them to be the class's teacher which has lead him to despising their own talent for it.

[UPDATED] Twilight Syndrome Murder Case - A murder had occur on school grounds, many students either are evasive about the subject or doesn't want to talk about it. Kei seems to remember they along with Yukio and Nagito walk into Class which Hatomi's body was discover in Class 77-B's own Classroom.

Daiki Kubo - Class 76's Ultimate Banker, he seems to be a friendly fellow with an appetite but seems very self conscious of his weight and diet due to bullying in the past. He also plans to work as higher ups of the MUFG Bank. He promise to help Kei with forming a new identity but that promise never came due to the tragedy of Hope's Peak.

[UPDATED] Yukio Miyahira - Class 77-B's Ultimate Councilor along with the older brother of Masuyo and Hotaru Miyahira who Hajime takes the place of due to his death happening at the end of Hope's Peak which was due to suicide. Kei remembers that during the parade that despite trying to help his classmates find future careers that aren't connected to Hope's Peak but due to the Parade; he was very limited on what he can do, when confronting their teacher - it seems he was the most angry with her which seems Nagi knows what their teacher did to him.

[UPDATED] Nagi Nanami - A member of Future Foundation as a member of the 7th Division, she was the Ultimate Gamer of Class 77-B and sounds like Chiaki. She use to be from the Reserve Course, Nagi wasn't too close to anyone in Class 77-B and often avoided them due to Hiyoko or their teacher which she seems to know more about Yukio then the others.

[UPDATED] Junko Enoshima - Class 78-A's Ultimate Fashionista and Ultimate Despair, she cause the tragedy and even manipulated Class 77-B into her ranks with the exception of Nagi; she died during the killing school life killing game. Kei remembers that Junko had try to get them to join her side which she push him into the crowd, showing to use their talents however they deny it because of Nagi Nanami and Yukio Miyahira.

Class 77-B's final task - Junko had given Class 77-B a mission to hide the briefcases which contain files and information of Hope's Peak, USBs with Junko's file and a number for the password somewhere where only they they know which after that, they can kill themselves but before they could Future Foundation found them.

Imposter's Briefcase - it contains bank information, bank books and files related to funds which the head of the 15th Division decided to go to look into this information.

[UPDATED] Biju Hakoda - 15th Division Head/15th Division: Restoring Economics, Money, Banking and Commercialism. Biju was apart of Class 49 as the Ultimate Hiker, he often left school grounds to form businesses and working towards his future which was influence by events in India; namely the Bhopal disaster and the Naxalites, a terrorist group in India.

For the first time since he'd found her there in the sitting room, curled up with Sisi and a book, silence fell. Sisi, who had taken to sniffing around a shelf, peered at the two humans and the mood that had settled upon Lupin's declaration of marriage. To her. That being wedded to her was worth giving up his entire life's work.

It was then that the dog, mechanical leg clanking in tow, padded over to both thief and princess and plopped himself down in-between two sets of feet, as if he didn't know which human to provide moral support for at the moment: Lupin, with his earnest words and equally earnest gaze, or Sonia, whose mouth hung open in shock as she stared, dumbfounded, at a man professing his preferred intentions with her.

Generally, princesses were supposed to smile, or weep, or fall into a man's arms in relief as he confessed a vision of a future with her. That was what the movies had always instructed. Unfortunately, Sonia had been dashing the dream of fairytales since she was a child, it all coming to a head in high school when the boy who had stalked her, loved her for all the wrong reasons, finally had to be made to understand that she was not something out of a book or a film. Sonia Nevermind was human: imperfect and flawed and part of a system that spanned centuries and, God and the efforts of the Royal Family willing, would continue to flourish long after the eventual Queen Sonia of Novoselic was no more.

But Lupin looked at her, eyes full of warmth, optimism, some sort of hope for the future, or so it appeared to her. And Sonia swallowed, looking back at him: half a world away and tucked into the safety of a large mansion full of new friends who, while paid to do so, wouldn't hesitate to protect her, everything she was to so many people seemed so insignificant. But she couldn't remain locked up forever, like one of those aforementioned princesses in fairytales. The part deep down within her, the one that bent rules and ran wild and gave everyone's blood pressure a proper spike, wanted to say she could make it happen if he sincerely cared for both princess and country alike. But the more rational part stopped her: she wasn't sixteen anymore, easily throwing caution to the wind. She sighed deeply, shifting on the sofa to properly face him, without a book or plans for a heist to distract her.

"Forgive me, monsieur," She began gently, blue eyes pleading for him to listen and understand. "But I am not sure you fully understand what you are suggesting. This life here at the mansion, and the person I am able to be here...well, the terrorists who threaten my life will be caught and tried eventually, and I shall be extradited home where I will return to my life. A working royal life, with duties and responsibilities and schedules where I must have nearly every hour of every day accounted for, for something or other. He'd never known her outside of his care, their care, since the day he and the others had come to rescue her. And that was why Sonia worried that the woman he was now propositioning...she didn't exist. Not really, or at least not forever. Whether he was certain he could be happy giving up his life as a thief, that didn't change the fact that he hardly knew her. Or at least, knew the person whose shoes she'd have to step back into one day. And of course, the fact that all royal marriages in Novoselic had to be approved by the current monarch: it was illegal for Sonia to marry without her father's approval.

"Besides," She continued, absently breaking off a piece of shortbread biscuit for Sisi and holding it in front of his nose for him to take. He'd stayed at their feet, whining either at Sonia's words or the fact that there were uneaten biscuits on the plate. And he'd been a faithful companion for the reality she had to illustrate for him. No matter how passionate he was, Sonia couldn't in good conscience let him continue without fully explaining the implications of such a request. "We have a heist to think of now, do we not? And...I would never consent to marrying someone without dating them first. The prospect of arranged marriages, where I am from, is in the not-too-distant past: and I vowed I would never be a part of such things. When I do, it will be for love of both spouse and country: I cannot do so otherwise."

She hadn't meant to make him feel poorly: reference a moment from the past that they could laugh about now, yes, but not deflate him entirely. She frowned: it wasn't right, watching him mumble. Had all of his self-esteem gone as quickly as it had come? "I shall be sure to tell Chiaki that evil might be found in her second home," She offered, hoping a reference to her best friend might distract him. "Though I suppose one would spend considerably more money at the Monte Carlo than any video game center. Higher stakes and all. But when she has not heard from you in some time, Tohsaka-san will telephone and proceed to regale me with every reason why Shirou Emiya is, in her words, 'an idiot.' I believe it is her way of telling you to come home, Shirou, and that she misses you."

Though why Rin thought Sonia, of all people, would know Shirou's whereabouts, she had no idea. They had only crossed paths twice, after he'd left for London, and the Maldives had only been a few months prior. She'd kept his secrets, fibbing as to only having heard of someone matching Shirou's description near the Franco-Novosonian border but never giving confirmation. Rin meant well, but Sonia felt it was up to Shirou to open the lines of communication with his family in Japan again.

"You do not need to apologize," She told him. After the Maldives, she'd become used to Shirou's philosophical ramblings: if just for the fact that, deep down, his intentions were in the right place. With as many lectures she'd been forced to listen to as a child, given by other who believed they knew and could do her job better, she had a distaste from being told what to do and how to think unless she asked for help. "The reality is, the vast number of spies tend not to live long enough to make their lives into a story comprehensive enough to put on film, and kindness, while it should be a princess's greatest strength, may also be used against her. It is the work I do that, in the end, good things come to as many good people as I possibly serve, but it also equally true that those who deserve comeuppance do not always receive it. But the shades of grey...well, who wants to see that in the lives we lead? Debates and paperwork, or going undercover for long periods of time in an unremarkable job."

Her morals hadn't changed. Those, Sonia thought with a sigh, were unbreakable. But her approach had. Her attitude had, by necessity: the realization that a sweet smile and encouraging words were not often enough to get the job done. Negotiation and assets were just as important in Royal Council meetings and various social events as kindness and perseverance were. Being pretty wasn't everything: but it both helped her and hindered her, depending on the situation at hand.

And besides: it wasn't often the efforts she made for social and economic change that brought so many tourists to Novoselic Castle each year. It was the splendor of a thousand years of royal wealth and tradition, portraits and antiques, selections of the crown jewels and famous attire on display: her mother's wedding gown, her father's coronation robes, the dress she'd worn for her 18th birthday portrait. No matter the amount of information offered by the Castle to share how members of the House of Nevermind had transformed Novoselic, it was the wedding gowns and diamonds that drew crowds.

Not that Shirou could've known that. She'd never invited him to any of her family's ancestral homes, Novoselic Castle or otherwise. But Sonia smiled at his admission, that he struggled to see her as a princess. It was short-lived, her warm expression turning into a pout as he remarked about her culinary 'expertise.' "I have not needed to call poison control in the past two years," She muttered, her arms folding across her chest. "Otherwise, I find myself with little in the way of time to try anymore. I think the Boudry House kitchen staff is relieved, though I could hardly manage without them regardless."

Sonia straightened then, her arms falling to her sides as all annoyance dissipated. So often she was supposed to be seen and wanted as a princess, jewels and formal attire and living up to the expectation of royalty. No one ever wanted her to be relaxed, on holiday like she'd been a few months prior. Perhaps in her younger years but not now, not as a full-time working member of the Royal Family. Holidays were desirable to capture footage for Christmas cards and other approved media releases, not for the sake of relaxation. "I would like that too," She finally admitted, though it was Sonia's turn to have trouble meeting his eyes as she blushed. "Privacy and blending in with a crowd are two of the most luxurious commodities I can fathom nowadays"

At least he was having fun with it. Something that prompted Sonia's eyebrows to raise as his words and tone meant one thing while his smile said another. It was the same look he'd given her in the Maldives, when they'd found the little bit of solitude away from the demands of their respective lives. One that hadn't crossed his face during their entire conversation at the Monte Carlo, and perhaps the only indicator that underneath all of the facades he wore as a spy, the Shirou she remembered was still there. Carefully concealed, but still there. Still able to smile and, for a little while, be unburdened with the weight of the world's traumas on his shoulders.

Sonia shook her head, hopefully ridding herself of both that thought and her blush. Gently picking up the hem of her gown's skirt, she waited for a moment before following, her steps slower and far less deliberate until she'd climbed the staircase to the more vacant floor and bar: the fewer high stakes games, the less likely anyone would bother them. So she didn't hesitate to bypass the few tables and chairs and perch herself right on one of the high stools beside him, folding her arms atop the glossy wooden bar. "Tell me, were acting classes part of your education in London with Tohsaka-san, or did you learn to act on your own?" She asked, grinning as she accepted a leather-bound drink menu from the bartender. "Truth be told, I am grateful for something other than wine or champagne: it is unbecoming in my family to be caught drinking anything else at events with press coverage."

The man made a point in giving her an almost sneering smirk upon her skeptical glaring, cocking his head to the side. It was merely putting up a show for the curious onlookers, playing the part of some playboy trying his best to impress the princess. There would be a risk it could be misinterpreted by Sonia, but it would be the best to plant the seeds of whatever plan they come up to break up the conversation and dissipating any further curious gazes placed upon them. Part of the dealings with the upper class involves a little of theatrics and deceiving a little. Of course his pretend smugness was promptly destroyed by Sonia a few moments later, mentioning the game center episode. In his younger days he didn’t do very well with flashing lights in dark places and loud noises, a likely byproduct of the events of his past. Nowadays it is more tolerable. ❝ Game centers are evil. ❞ he mumbled. ❝ Oh well, we are in a casino now. That should explain it, that’s game centers for grown-ups. It makes total sense. Should we expect another disaster ? ❞ it was one of those times that Shirou certainly had a miserable time, but looking back he could at least make a few jokes at his own expense. It was different now, and also completely different than when Tohsaka makes a joke and Sakura could also be merciless. ❝ Somehow I’m not surprised that you know about that, I suppose it makes for a fun little bit of casual conversation. Should I be worried ? ❞

There was a moment of pause as Sonia lamented about the idealization of princesses. ❝ The whole concept of spy movies is about the adrenaline and the action, to have people imagine themselves as this cool individual who goes throughout scores of bad guys, do impressive feats, dates all the interesting people and, in the end, triumphs over the villain. Either you want to be them or can sleep easy knowing that everything is just too absurd to be the truth, and even if there is anything like that someone will step up to the plate and keep you safe from harm, you will never have to worry about these dangers because someone else is fighting. ❞ he reasoned ❝ And the princesses are usually modest, gentle souls that go through harsh hardships without losing their kindness. It isn’t easy to deal with people who ought to do you harm when you feel powerless, and sometimes you need to work extra hard to reach the point you can do something. I never thought the idea of these movies was to find a partner and live happily ever after, but to show girls that good things come to good people, and those who do harm will have their comeuppance as what goes around comes around. A princess in this scenario isn’t too different than an idol or a spy, except their main weapons are their kindness and perseverance. Still, some people can take the wrong lessons and the concept can easily be twisted into something else entirely, like killing people is OK or you should be pretty and nothing else matters. The reality is that nothing is black and white, or even shades of gray.  ❞ in short, life is far more complicated than the binary. ❝ Ah, my apologies, it seems I have rambled again. ❞

❝ For all that it is worth, I do have some trouble seeing you as a princess still. You are Sonia, a very dear friend who has an endearing perchance for horror and dreadful cooking skills. Or did you have had some headway on the later in the past few years ?  ❞ a small tease, perhaps a little payback for the arcade commentary ❝ I should stop being in awe every time I see you like this. But at the same time I also would like to be able to see you like back in the Maldives, when you can allow to put your hair down and relax for a while. A more relaxed outfit, without the stiffness of a public space and some privacy certainly sounds nice. ❞ again he did make a point of being slightly louder in certain keywords that, out of context, might give people the wrong impression. It was all part of the setup to make what they are about to perform far more convincing.

He mouthed a “see you later” before his expression twisted in slight disgust, making a “tsk” when clicked his tongue. ❝ That’s far more trouble than it is worth. ❞ he said in the loud tone, trying to sound contemptuous as he did so ❝ I have more pressing matters to deal with, have a good night your highness. ❞ an amused smile flashed for a moment, relaxed expression for her eyes only before he turned on his heels and stepped away from her barely looking at the face of one of the waiters who stopped to watch the exchange to pick up a glass of champagne.

When Gundham proposed to you, you immediately started planning your wedding. Since he is of course, a dark lord, your wedding is very unique. Neither of you care for traditional weddings anyway, and want your wedding day to be a day where you can truly be your glamorous selves.

You picked black and burgundy as the colors since you know that those colors compliment you both so well (you always look amazing when you wear his scarf)

You both want everything at your wedding to be huge and extravagant- even the cake, which you is red velvet on the inside just to go with the theme.

He wants a ring to show the world he belongs to you and only you, but neither of you want anything too flashy, so he got a thick black band, and you got a dainty black one with black flower shaped crystals on it- still very beautiful, and the world will know you’re taken, but subtle enough to not be obnoxious.

Since this wedding isn’t traditional, of course your outfits aren’t either. He wears a dark burgundy tux with his earrings, chains, and other jewelry, and you pick a gorgeous gothic black ball gown.

Your maid of honor of course, is Princess Sonia- she couldn’t be happier to be involved in your gothic wedding, and she even helped you plan it and decorate! (And she looks stunning in the brides maids dresses!!) and Sonia’s boyfriend Kazuichi is the Best Man.

Gundham of course asked all the groomsmen to wear solid black tux’s, so not to clash with the rest of the theme.

You even rented out an elegant Victorian ballroom to have your wedding and reception in, because he is of course your Prince of Darkness.

RE: the timeline of her arranged marriage, her fiance’s death, and her moment of lucidity during the Tragedy

As the Ultimate Princess, Sonia’s life contains multiple fairytale cliches. One such example is her engagement to the crown prince of the kingdom of Merrick shortly after her birth. Merrick and Novoselic had been allies for many years, sharing a mountain range and various natural resources. Sonia, as second in line for the throne but closest in age to the crown prince, was the most suitable match.

His full title is His Royal Highness Soren Mikael Ostergaard Lindbeck, first of his name.

Soren and Sonia were best friends but never once entertained the idea of romantic interest. Their parents insisted they would grow into it but they never did. 

Once Sonia learns of Hope’s Peak, she becomes enamored and applies in secret. Only after her acceptance does she manage to convince her parents of the benefits of her going abroad. Hope’s Peak graduates are promised such high success in their fields that an education there would only aid her as the future queen.

Soren’s parents, however, were more skeptical and concerned that the princess going abroad would cause something to break the engagement between them. As a compromise, Soren and Sonia agreed - begrudgingly - to go through with the Makango tradition - wherein the pair capture two Makangos, nurture them, and have the intuitive creatures meet again - as an old fashioned means of judging romantic and sexual compatibility.

Sonia breaks down during this, explaining to Soren both her frustrations with their families and her fears and anxieties about studying abroad. In a moment of comfort, they two end up sleeping together - less about consummating a marriage neither of them want but more about being as physically close as possible. 

As mentioned in this headcanon post, when Sonia returns to Novoselic as part of Ultimate Despair, it’s her brother Elias that’s the first victim of Junko’s experimentations. Her family shortly follows, especially when dissent about Sonia and the rest of Ultimate Despair’s actions rise.

Soren is the last to be killed, having been locked in the dungeon and tortured for pure despair. It’s his belief that Sonia could be redeemed that kept him alive for so long. And as she watched her first, oldest friend suffering, seeing the ghosts of her family in his eyes, Sonia begins to waiver in her resolve. 

Which of course means the other members of the group killing him brings such delicious despair to all of them. Personally hc that it’s Junko who lands the killing blow but obviously can be changed on a thread to thread basis

Soren’s death jars Sonia enough to give her a moment of lucidity - where the weight of her actions come crashing down on her and the despair drags her down so far, she nearly comes full circle again. 

It’s fairly easy for Junko and the others to bring her back around. After all: shouldn’t Sonia make the rest of the world feel how she did?

Summary: For just one moment, Nagito wondered if this was what it was like to fall in love with someone all over again.

“There we go.” Nagito hummed as he finished putting in the last pin in her hair. He fluffed the veil and gently walked away so that Sonia could turn around and admire herself in the mirror. “You look absolutely stunning, Sonia-san.” He gave her a cheerful smile as she twirled around happily in her dress. The gentle sparkle of the studded sequence on her bodice glittered and only brightened her expression more. The skirt was in a puffy large bell shape that made her look exactly what her ultimate was. She hadn’t wanted to go too crazy on the veil, wanting just a simple little bun and something to flow back behind her. She was already wearing so much fabric and didn’t want to risk tripping and breaking her neck. 

They both could hear Koizumi in the background, taking as many organic pictures as she could. It was hard not to look over at the camera and give a smile. “Thank you so much for doing my hair, Komaeda-kun. When some of the girls admitted they didn’t know what to do, I felt at loss.” Sonia gave him a large grin. “I was surprised to see that be one of your many talents.”

“Now, now it’s a simple hairstyle. I didn’t go too extreme.” Nagito held his hands up, the praise settling uncomfortably in his stomach. He knew he was supposed to be working on that. “Hinata-kun could probably do it better but-”

“Yes, I’m well aware.” Sonia nodded sharply, cutting him off and Nagito gave her another smile. She turned back towards the mirror and Nagito watched the joy slowly slip from her face. Koizumi slowed her picture taking, also concerned.

“Sonia-san?” 

“Oh I’m so sorry I just…” Sonia waved her hands and Nagito wondered if it was the cold feet or the butterflies that were getting to her. “I know that this ceremony is just for me and him and I appreciate it so much, but when we have the proper ceremony in front of my people in my country I can’t help but to feel as though it’ll become too much for him. You know how he is.”

“I can’t imagine him leaving you at the altar though.” Nagito mused. “Not because of a crowd. I’m sure he’s well prepared for it. He knew what he was getting into when he proposed to you. Oh but maybe that’s not my place.”

“I have to agree though,” Koizumi frowned, looking at Sonia, her camera still at the ready in case Sonia did something that she wanted to capture. “He wouldn’t do that to you. He loves you way too much to do that.”

“No you’re correct. I guess it’s just the wedding jitters. I always thought I had a positive outlook, but it appears this dress is cursed to make me think otherwise.” Sonia sighed. 

“I think it’s just another way for hope to shine brightly! This wedding is going to be beautiful, Sonia-san. You’re in it and he’s in it, you’re going to light up the room-”

“I think what Komaeda’s trying to say is that your wedding is going to go off without a hitch and you need to stop fretting.” Koizumi cut him off. Nagito clipped his mouth shut, knowing that he probably bothered them with his little tangent. No one really had the patience to listen to the entire thing besides Hinata, and that was only if Hinata was willing to listen to five sentences of him self-decrepitating. 

Sonia nodded determinedly and she looked back at the mirror. She took a deep breath and Nagito watched as all of the tension washed away from her. It was really inspiring and hopeful to see such a warrior’s expression appear on her face, as though this wedding was much more than a commitment of love and hope. 

Nagito looked at the time and he nodded, “I should probably leave you ladies to do your thing for now. I’m sure other people want to see how you’re doing, and I should check in.”

“Go for it.” Sonia nodded. “Thank you again for helping me, Komaeda-kun.”

“Anytime.” He waved as he walked out of the room that they were getting ready in. Sonia hadn’t wanted to do anything too extravagant. The ceremony was taking place outdoors in the gardens. They had borrowed the green house’s sitting rooms to get themselves ready. It had been a game of rock paper scissors to see which side of the wedding party got the sitting room that was nearest to where the ceremony was taking place. 

The other sitting room was across the large gathering area and towards where the parking lot was. The ceremony was small compared to the wide open space of the garden. Four rows of chairs on either side of the aisle, and black, red, white, purple, and blue streamers stretched from chair to chair at the end. Midoa in the front of the aisle, trying to tune her guitar and playing a few strings. The Imposter stood in a priest’s wardrobe, with a bible included. Considering that it was so out of place in Japan, Nagito thought it was amusing. Of course the other folks might not agree with it, but it got the job done.

Souda was still hanging up the last of the lights for the reception that was just down a little ways into a patio. Nanami was in her bridesmaid’s dress and was trying to help untangle the cords. She looked over her shoulder and gave Nagito a friendly wave and he nodded his acknowledgement. It appeared that they were busy, and he had people to check in on.

Pekoyama strode right by him, calling out to Saionji, who was nowhere to be found. Nagito had a hunch that the girl snuck in after he left the sitting room to check in on the progress and maybe make her own remarks on how things should look. Or compliment Koizumi’s photos like normal. 

They were lucky, really lucky for the weather to be as bright and as sunny as it was. Nagito wondered where the bad luck would come from and hoped that it wouldn’t ruin the wedding in any way. These kinds of ceremonies were meant to be hopeful. While he was certain that nothing would damage the relationship and everyone would be able to use the bad luck as a stepping stone for something cheerful, Nagito would like just this once for something to go right. 

Luckily for him, he didn’t have to go into the sitting room. Hinata was standing outside, leaning against the wall and looking as though he was trying to take a couple of minutes to himself. Nagito couldn’t blame him. Everyone had worked tremendously hard on making sure that this wedding was going to go off without a hitch, and Hinata worked extra hard on the planning and the arranging, due to Izuru Kamukura’s influence. 

“Hinata-kun, how are things on your end?” Nagito greeted.

Hinata looked over at Nagito and just for a moment, Nagito felt like the world just stopped. The way the tree’s shadows dappled on Hinata’s skin brought for a type of hope that swelled from the stomach up to his heart and froze him in place. The lazy smile that graced Hinata’s features stole Nagito’s breath, and the sunlight was caught in the browns of his eyes, making them easy to get lost in. He also looked sharp with the black tux and the white button up shirt. The tie a little loose around the neck rather than tight up against it. 

For just one moment, Nagito wondered if this was what it was like to fall in love with someone all over again. Just from seeing them in an exact way. Koizumi, as talented a photographer as she was, probably couldn’t take such a glorious picture. This was something that needed to be seen in a second.

“Hey Komaeda.” Hinata greeted him. “Tanaka-kun’s going insane and trying to make sure that he’s ready as he can be. Proper summoning circles and all.”

Nagito didn’t pretend to understand that.

“You okay?” The moment was a little lost when Hinata moved, but Nagito could still feel the after effects. Everything was floaty, floaty, it was too perfect. Nagito held his tongue however, this wasn’t the place for romanaticisim. “Nagito.”

“I’m sorry, were you saying something?” Nagito quickly snapped himself out of it. “I apologize, Hinata-kun I…”

“No you okay? Maybe we should get out of the sun. You’re too pale and you’re going to get yourself sick.” Hinata fretted. “That’s the last thing we need right now.”

No, the last thing they needed was a thunderstorm to ruin a storybook happy ending. Nagito decided to bite that retort back, knowing all too well that would earn him a look and either a bop on the head or a jab in the ribs and he wasn’t feeling up to either of them. He allowed Hinata to take his wrist and they headed back inside of the greenhouse.

The warmth of the sun increased, and Nagito could feel the sweat begin to bead against the back of his neck. Hinata’s hands were slippery and wet but he didn’t let go as they went further back towards where an open room was. Nagito could hear Tanaka’s low tone and Kuzuryu’s voice mingle with each other in a conversation. Them both being “overlords” of something meant they had a little in common. 

The open room was the same as the others. A day bed that was pressed up against the couch, and some flowers to decorate the room. There was a low table in the middle of the room and sheer curtains that stood straight against the square paned windows. Nagito could look out into the garden and enjoy the scene without having to be a part of it. 

The A/C of the room was nice and cool, it felt like heaven upon the skin. Nagito watched as Hinata took a seat on the daybed, flopping himself against it as though it was his. He smiled, and once more had to be taken aback.

Was it the suit that made him fall in love three times today? Or was it just the way Hinata was acting? Was it the sun and the way that it managed to catch Hinata in all the best possible lights, accentuating his cheeks and his eyes and catching the red tones that were mingled among the browns of his hair? 

Truly. Nagito really did love the hope that laid deep within Hinata, but this wasn’t the place for such sentiments. 

“You’re staring again.” Hinata chided and Nagito laughed. “I can’t be that good looking.”

“Perhaps.” Nagito shrugged as he walked over towards the day bed. He watched Hinata move over so that there was room for him to take a seat next to him. “The sun’s just making me see things.”

“...You’re not going to tell me are you?”

Nagito shook his head, “Not tonight, not today. Maybe tomorrow.” When they were home. When Nagito had more courage and fond memories. Maybe when he can get his hand on a hidden object that was in their closet. Maybe he would then say what he wanted to say. Right now though, Nagito wasn’t going to dare take this hope away from his friends. “The wedding’s going to start soon.”

“I know. We should probably make sure everyone’s in line.” Hinata agreed, but neither of them made a move to get up. Whether it was because they were too lazy or some other force kept them there, who knew?

A good moment passed before Nagito felt the daybed shift and he was gently grabbed by the chin. He swallowed his words as Hinata gently pressed his lips against his. “See you at the ceremony, Komaeda-kun.” He murmured as he gently stood up and walked off.

Nagito didn’t even have a chance to say a word.

“So...” They were relaxing inside Nagito’s room, still tired from the wedding, when Sonia started inching close to her cousin. “About the wedding...”

“It’s a shame that it was a fake. And you were really looking forward to it too.” 

Sonia merely smiled at his answer. “Oh, that doesn’t bother me much! I’m sure there will be more weddings to attend in the future.” 

Figuring that she wouldn’t budge from the topic, Nagito decided to humor her. “Yeah. Like the bride and your’s.”

“More like your’s and the groom!” Sonia huffed and lowered her voice as she reenacts their earlier conversation. “Oh, Hinata-kun! Poor, poor Hinata-kun! If money is what you need, all you need is ask!”

Nagito nearly choked in his spit. “That’s not what I said...!” 

“That is what you said. I’m not deaf, cousin. I heard it loud and clear!”

“I offered him a well-paying job,” Nagito said, firmly. 

“While making googly-eyes at him,” Sonia replied, leveling his cold stare with her own. “I bet you’re actually happy the wedding was a fake. Then, you’ll have a chance with you Mr. Dreamboy.” 

He snorted at her accusation and retorted back, “As if you weren’t eyeing he poor bride up while checking those desserts together earlier.”

“You talked to him in private.” 

“You kept holding her hand!” 

“I was comforting her,” Sonia huffed. 

 Nagito rolled his eyes. “And I’m straight.” 

“Oh cousin,” Sonia tackled him for a hug to comfort him, “Soon a time will come when you’ll finally be free to leave your cabinet.”

“It’s closet...!” Nagito struggled to get out of her grip. “And I’m already been out for years!” 

“Not to the public though...” She trailed off as her cousin slacks against her. “It really makes me wish I can just whisk you back with me to Novoselic.” 

“You know I can’t.” 

“Of course...” 

The two enjoyed the silence until a thought appears in Sonia’s head. 

“He’ll start working next week right?” 

“Supposedly.” 

Sonia hummed. “Do you think it’ll turn into one of those office dramas? You know, the ones where the secretary falls for the boss? Oh! Oh! Do you think he’ll start placing love notes all over your office?” 

“Okay. That’s it. Get out of my room,” Nagito said as he pushed her away. 

“What? I think you look cute together! Admit it: you think he’s handsome!” 

Sonia kept on insisting for him to admit it but received none as she got pushed out the door. No matter. The blush on her dear cousin’s face was telling enough. 

“I better be the one to plan the wedding...!”

“Get married first!” was the answer she received from the other side of the door. Jokes on him though, Sonia was planning on it. Now...

Hey buddy, so I see that you write for Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

Could you write how Sonia Nevermind would react to having her arranged marriage busted into by her S/O, who just so happens to be the Ultimate Knight and was appointed to protect her?

Sonia's Arranged Wedding Being Interrupted By The Ultimate Knight

When Sonia was informed of her parents setting her with a suitor, she was beyond distraught. She had been in love with you, the Ultimate Knight, for so long that she could never imagine her being with anyone else.

Before she was forced to return back to Novoselic, she spent every single second with you. She might not see you again, having to leave Hope's Peak for this marriage and her parents possibly seperating you due to your known feelings for one another, so she wanted to spend as much time with you as possible, even sleeping in the same bed as you until the day came.

When her parents finally arrived to take her back to Novoselic, she said her final goodbyes to you, almost crying knowing this could be the final time she sees your face.

For the weeks leading up to the wedding, she didn't crack even the slightest smile. Her suitor didn't interest her, the dress didn't interest her, the chapel did interest her...without you, nothing interested her.

She spent weeks feeling nothing but loneliness and emptiness. A life without you is one she didn't care for and one she didn't want.

When the wedding came, she didn't even bother smiling. Her eyes had lost alot of colour and she was doing nothing but going along with what she was told directly.

As the vows were being said, she had almost nothing to say. She had two sentences stating false love for her groom and nothing more. Then...it was time...

"And if anyone objects to joining this couple in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace."

"I OBJECT!!!"

Out of nowhere, you came storming in through the doors of the chapel. Many gasped in shock and surprised but none more then Sonia herself who quickly grew the light back into her eyes. Seeing your face after so many weeks, it was like she was in a dream.

You quickly knocked out any guards trying to halt you. They couldn't stand up to the Ultimate Knight. Even her groom found himself with his tail between his legs as he quickly backed away from you.

Infront of this crowd, you went down on one knee and held a small crown to her. With that, you asked for her hand in marriage.

Without skipping a beat, she leaped onto you and hugged you with all her might, screaming out yes.

Her father, fully aware of the love that had blossomed over the years between you both and seeing the cowardice of the groom, decided to change this wedding to a marriage of Ultimates.

With that, Sonia was quickly back to her old self. She began to enjoy this day, now the best day of her life. Though, with you as her new spouse, she knew even more were on their way.
