Want squid facts? I have you covered. I have a squid facts hotline, 1-833-SCI-TEXT. Text SQUID to that number (1-833-724-8398), and it'll send you squid facts aplenty.

I have even created an advent calendar for you to learn squid facts throughout December. It's an 11 by 14 inch scratchy lottery, but instead of taking a chance at winning money, you are guaranteed to learn about squid.

I have a street art campaign to bring squid facts to the people. You might see wheatpastes (like the squid below) if you live in Philly, Boston, Austin, or New York, or stickers if you live in hundreds of other cities and towns across North America.

When you buy a calendar, you're supporting my undying mission to bring squid to everyone. Did you know that squid have donut shaped brains? That their class, cephalopods, have been on earth for longer than TREES? That scientists estimate that there are literally millions of giant squid living in the deep sea?

People deserve to know about squid. Help me spread the word.

I know that your 4 is supposed to be a firefly squid but the way you described your 4's family kinda reminds me of Humbolt squids. 4 has alot of cousins and aunts and they can be kinda crazy, like how hubolt squids can swim in groups of 1000 and can go into crazy feeding frenzy's (fucking terrifying). 4's height could be explained as Humbolts can be 4'11 inches (which crazy for a squid) but can also be 8 FOOT FUCKING 2. They can communicate be changing colors (not related to 4's family) and are called red devils because when they go into feeding frenzy's they turn a deep red

Found this with no context on my phone

Just "photo taken on April 19, 2022 at 8:22 PM." No clues from any of the surrounding pictures. The previous one is me documenting the existence of my grandfather's stuffed pheasant before we get rid of it when we move and the one after it is a 13 second clip of me dumping a bag down our apartment's trash-chute and listening to it fall down all eight floors into the basement.

Anon linked to a fundraiser for a classroom in Texas that is trying to get some missing chapter books in the classroom library, and read-aloud books that focus on marginalized peoples, environmental concerns, and non-Western upbringings. sarahmackattack is with Skype A Scientist, a nonprofit science education organization that connects scientists with classrooms, libraries, and scout troops for free; they also run a "Squid Facts" hotline that people can text to receive squid facts, and support a science mural program in Philadelphia. They're currently selling Frog Facts and Crab Facts advent calendars; you scratch off the sticker each day to reveal fun facts about frogs or crabs. we_are_spc's AC in their house has gone out, and they are trying to stay cool with only one fan; they are unemployed, and the heat is bad for both their asthma and their cats, as well as several musical instruments in the home including indigenous flutes. They've had a great update which is that the unit itself is working so only the copper lines need to be replaced; they need to raise less than previously thought, but are still trying to get as much funding as possible for the line replacement. I just received my Frog Fact calendar from @sarahmackattack, founder of the Skype A Scientist outreach program and pilot of The Squidmobile (which I had the honor of seeing in person like a year ago and i still remember that day fondly.)

The calendar is here just in time to make September a month of amphibious education! Also, can I just say it's so much bigger and prettier and glossier than I expected it to be? I'm going to keep this hanging up even after I'm done revealing my frog facts.

I also got myself a Squid Fact Hotline sticker to put on my own car so I too can drive a Squidmobile. Squidmobile Jr, if you will.
